I promise I'll try to post an update of TCOS this weekend. I've finished CH 28 just now, so I should have some time to edit CH 12. In the meantime, here's a snippet.

With a smile on his face, Jamea tiptoes into the living room, about to head upstairs, when a figure-shaped shadow bolts upright on the couch, stopping him in his tracks. “Jamie? Is that you?” Regulus’ voice sounds husky from sleep.   “Yeah.” He shucks the cloak and charms the magical lamps into emitting a muted glow to avoid blinding them with sudden glare. “Why aren’t you in bed, sweetheart?” Damn his stupid mouth and its tendency to spout endearments without James’ permission. Well, the damage is done, and there’s nothing he can do about it except try to hold his tongue in check next time. He crosses the room and claims a seat next to Regulus, pressing a kiss to his cheek. His hair is sticking up in every direction, and there are creases on his face from the pillows. James has never seen anything more adorable. “Have you been waiting for me?”  Regulus’ hazy expression transforms into a scowl. “Keep dreaming, Potter.”

Okay, so I might be late to the party, but I realized - the song that plays during Tobias' final ballet piece is called 'Poisson Rouge'. Which is French for a goldfish.

He wrote the ballet for Gabin. And his little fishie. Just when I thought he couldn't get any more adorable.

my favorite thing about this is how Tobias is so locked in that even when Gabin pulls back to remind him they're not alone (ehm), Tobias' eyes never leave his face. I am UNWELL about these two

This show is amazing and the fact it's been cancelled after a month with no promo verges on travesty

I feel like the writing of Tobias and Cheyanne in Étoile are little works of genius because Tobias is “obviously” autistic, whereas Cheyanne can come across as “eccentric” but at the end of the day, they have the same traits.

Cheyanne is difficult, and rude, and does too much. She tries to teach classes where she’s not even remotely supposed to be, she has blatant disregard for social norms, and has a VERY strong sense of justice. She asks questions instead of doing what she’s told, and pushes past people’s boundaries because she doesn’t recognize that they are there.

She leaves rooms suddenly without answering people’s questions, and most of all, look at her mother.

What’s fascinating to me is Tobias does all these things too.

As far as I’m concerned the only difference between them (in regards to their neurodivergence) is they gave Tobias a pair of headphones. And this is what flagged Tobias’ autism for a lot of people. But furthermore it shows how little awareness there is about “classic” autism presenting in women.

How is this show (Étoile) not more popular? Ballet dancers. Great characters. Autistic cinnamon roll and a bad boy with a heart of gold. What's not to love? It's okay, I can handle another hyperfixation. Maybe. Possibly

no because it’s the way they needed each other so bad that they became codependent in a single day, it’s the way tobias couldn’t function without him, it’s the way gabin only performed FOR tobias and tobias only made it FOR gabin, it’s the way he loved him so much he built a whole number from the ground up AROUND gabin, I’m literally physically ill

I always respond to comments. To me, it feels hypocritical to complain about the lack of comments and then not acknowledge them in any way. It feels rude and dismissive and I immediately think worse of the authors that don't respond. The only authors I understand are the ones with 'big fics' who get more comments than they can handle.

Yes there's a typo in the first option but I am not redoing the whole thing

I've finally realized why I prefer Jegulus over Prongsfoot even though I obviously love Prongsfoot too. It doesn't have Regulus. Regulus is my favorite. He can do no wrong, my precious little baby, and he deserves to be happy, healthy, alive, and to grow old with James.
