This a story/ diary entry thing I'm doing to share my experience as someone whos chronically ill in their 20s. I feel like we don't get any recognition, its like we don't even exist. You either mid life to old or very very young to be taken seriously when you say you're disabled. Okay, hear me out. This has been bugging me for a while. Erend from horizon zero dawn has reminded me of another character for so long, but I couldn’t put my finger on who exactly.

Then I realized it’s cause he’s a blend of two. He’s a blend of Captain price from MW

And Soap

He’s a blend of them in both looks and personality. I’ve been laughing about this discovery for a good ten minutes now lmao.

OMG I JUST FIGURED OUT WHY THEY NAMED THEIR TEAM VORPAL SWORDS.

Ok hear me out here. In Alice in wonderland the big beast she fights at the end of the movie is called the jabberwocky right? And what does she use to fight and slay the jabberwocky??? THE VORPAL SWORD!!! For the longest time I couldn’t figure out the logic behind the name they shows for their team in the Knb movie. But I watched Alice in wonderland again and just realized the connection. In the movie the opposing team is called jabberwock. So they called themselves the vorpal swords because THEY WERE GOING TO SLAY THE JABBERWOCKS!!! With this context their name makes so much more sense lol 😂

Peace

Hovering silently above the trees,

the brilliance of the stars shone like diamonds in the sky,

coving the land below in a veil of peace.

I gazed up in awe at the breathtaking and irresistible glow from above me,

The light seeming as if it was luminescent with the glow of white marble.

As I lost myself in the warmth and radiance,

An explosion of colors playfully danced a shy dance of delight in the sky.

I instinctively wanted to be near that light.

To be so close that it dazzles and floods me.

As I stretched my body in a slow rippling movement,

I began to dance in the loving arms of the moonlight glimmering above.

I danced ecstatically,

My unbroken spirit courageously enduring the strain of the mesmerizing cleansing that was taking place in my soul.

It was by sheer act of will that I was able to release the dreams from me and let them join the colors in the sky and cover the earth in a soft blanket,

Golden and beautiful in its humility.

This reawakening released my spirit,

And as I blissfully rose into the sky,

The morning star mysteriously rose with me.

The innocence and mercy of its light was familiar.

I graciously prayed to it,

Knowing that it’s radiant power would save me.

I realized I knew this because the morning star was me beloved brother.

My spirit leaped through the air,

And for a few blissful moments,

I was flying.

I reached him and our spirits combined and molded into something grand,

And beautiful,

And soothing.

Our spirits became the sun giving life and warmth to all,

Taking nothing for ourselves.

And for a few sweet moments,

We were close and loved.

A Caution of Old

Being the eldest daughter

Wrath

Wrath is the off switch to empathy

Wrath is being pushed off the edge of sanity

Wrath is a craving for vengeance against wrongs wrought against oneself

Wrath is seeing red

Wrath is a lightning strike in a long dead forest

Wrath is that small flame started, turning into a raging forest fire

Wrath is firestorms from the force of the heat

Wrath is leaving nothing sparred of its charring touch

Wrath is leaving nothing but destruction and pain in its wake

Wrath is not stopping until everything until everything is swallowed up in the flames

Wrath is letting the monsters out to play until the deed is done

Wrath is giving in to the violence we all are capable of, no matter if it’s emotional, mental, or physical

Wrath is the last line of defense

Wrath is collapsing from the strain once the fuel runs out

Wrath is the fever wreaking havoc on the body until it’s cleansed of all that would hurt it

Wrath is the double edged sword that we bare through life that can be both our savior and our doom

This is a poem I wrote based on my fear of intimacy (hopefully this will reach others with similar fears so they won’t feel alone)

Also if you can, put on Clair de lune from Godzilla to listen to as you read I think the cover of the song really fits the emotion it the poem

Just a Touch

What is this?

Such strange sensations

It assaults my senses

But it’s not quite an abrasion

It quickens my breath

What’s come over me?

Overwhelming and trapped

I can’t get free

But wait

It’s not that bad

How peculiar….

I’m just a little sad

I think it’s trying to sooth

Though it’s a grueling task

Gently prodding

Slipping through the cracks

But wait

What if it hurts?

My head’s screaming NO

I’m trying not to blurt

But it’s seems

There’s no lack of patience

Very calm and warm

Careful, not complacent

This is actually quite nice

Maybe this is good

My steel bars

Softening to wood

Can this stay forever?

Feeling warm and safe

Though I am

Still fragile as a waif

Wait no

Don’t go

My newfound high

Crashing down low

So fleeting in its comfort

Left cold in its wake

Only there for a moment

But enough to break

And though it was brief

I hold it close with a tight clutch

Crazy how this can happen…
