I've watched him since he was a child, tussling in the backyard with his friends, channeling an energy that always seemed boundless. The mats of his wrestling days saw him bloom into an All-American champion, a testament to his relentless dedication and spirit. And now, here he is, no longer on the wrestling mat, but in an MMA cage, displaying that same tenacity, skill, and raw power.

For most who watch, it's a spectacle, a display of strength and strategy. But for me, every fight is an agonizing mix of pride and fear. With nine amateur fights, only one loss, and an unbeaten professional record, my son has shown time and again his prowess and talent. His ability to choke out opponents, skillfully switching from one hold to another, sometimes makes me shudder for the mothers of his rivals. I know how they feel, watching their sons, helpless against his might. In those moments, the arena becomes an overwhelming sea of emotion. 

But with every victory, a shadow of dread lingers. MMA is unpredictable. Today, he might be the victor, but tomorrow, the tide might turn. The thought of him being on the receiving end, lying motionless on the canvas, is a nightmare that haunts my nights. And deeper than the fear of physical injury is the fear of the emotional and mental toll the sport might take on him. What if, one day, the tables turn and he severely injures someone? The weight of that guilt, that responsibility, is something I dread for him.

Yet, despite all this, there's an undeniable pride. My boy, facing his fears, challenging himself, reaching for heights that many can only dream of. It's the culmination of years of sweat, discipline, and resilience. And how can I not stand by him through it all?

So, I am always there, in his corner, both literally and figuratively. With every punch he throws, every takedown he executes, and every choke he applies, I am there with him, feeling the rush of adrenaline, the sting of pain, the elation of victory, and the despair of defeat.

To the world, he is a fighter, a warrior, a rising star in the MMA galaxy. To me, he will always be my baby boy, whose well-being is my paramount concern. I support him, unwaveringly, even as fear sneaks into the crevices of my heart. The film boasts a well-written storyline with captivating twists that kept me engaged throughout. While it may not have been a hit with critics, I found its concept and execution within the sci-fi thriller genre quite enjoyable.

Considering the premise of the film, centered around fantasies coming true on an island, it's important to acknowledge that realism takes a backseat. However, I appreciated that Fantasy Island managed to strike a balance by infusing a sense of believability into its narrative. The consequences of these indulgent fantasies are explored, and the characters who leave the island undoubtedly bear the psychological scars, portraying a realistic aftermath that includes potential long-term trauma.

The acting in the film was surprisingly good. The cast delivered performances that allowed me to genuinely care about the characters and their individual journeys. I was pleasantly surprised by the depth each actor brought to their roles, effectively immersing me in the story. Furthermore, the film's underlying message of "be careful what you wish for" was effectively conveyed, emphasizing the importance of seeing fantasies through to their natural end.

While I won't delve into critiquing every individual performance, I must emphasize that the overall quality of Fantasy Island deserves more recognition than it received. The movie successfully melded its various elements together, resulting in a cohesive and enjoyable experience. Considering all these factors, I give Fantasy Island a rating of 4 Diamonds, with the potential to become a 5 with some minor improvements.

Despite its mixed reception, I encourage viewers to approach Fantasy Island with an open mind. One being an intense prelim, between two exceptional fighters ready to leave their mark, Alonzo 'The Relentless' Turner and Damon 'The Demon' Bell, showcasing their skills and tenacity inside the cage. Both fighters possess remarkable speed and proficiency in their respective disciplines, making for an exciting fight.

As the fight begins, Damon Bell, known for his background in kickboxing and Muay Thai, wastes no time in displaying his striking prowess. He unleashes a barrage of powerful kicks, aiming to keep Alonzo Turner at bay and showcase his technical striking ability. Bell's fluid movements and expert timing make it challenging for Turner to close the distance and engage in his own offensive attacks.

However, Turner, skilled in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and wrestling, is not one to back down. He absorbs Bell's strikes and counters with calculated precision, using his own striking skills to keep the fight competitive. Turner's striking, although not his primary focus, proves to be sharp and effective.

Recognizing an opening, Turner seizes the opportunity to transition the fight to his preferred domain: the ground. Utilizing his wrestling expertise, Turner executes a well-timed takedown, bringing Damon Bell to the mat. Once on the ground, Turner's grappling proficiency is apparent.

Alonzo Turner emerges victorious, securing a well-deserved win by capitalizing on his strengths. This battle between two rising stars showcases the importance of adaptability and well-rounded skills in the world of MMA. Turner's impressive grappling and Bell's striking prowess make for an enthralling clash, highlighting the diversity of styles and techniques present in the sport.

He also explains how he uses this to help law enforcement track down and catch the criminal and, in some cases, prove someone innocent.  Some of the book can drag on, but overall, it’s an interesting read.
