unscheduled kiln maintnance. my dad is my electrician. worked at radio shack in the late 60's when you took your radio to have it fixed. in 1981 he pioneered/discovered that you can listen to meteors with homemade antennas and radio waves due to his love of space and radio technology. they now have government facilities and universities dedicated to undertanding space objects from this research. he understands electronics and astronomy like i understand clay. other places i fix the kilns, in my studio i let him get dirty. also my kiln is a knight electric kiln from 1962-4. still powering through cone 10 when it doesnt have dead coils.. #astronomy #musing #ceramics #kilnbuilding #conservation #studiopottery #electrickiln #studioshot #2020 (at Mount Union, Pennsylvania) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-xXzSZDA54/?igshid=guga8s1qdj23
