Give Nifty a solo in season two. Or a duet. Or a larger part of any song- we need more of Kimiko Glenn singing.

Fun fact: Stephanie Beatriz (voice of Vaggie) originally auditioned for Luisa, but when they met her, they decided she was a better fit for Mirabel.
So we could have literally had Vaggie singing Surface Pressure lol.
But… “Surface Pressure” with Vaggie. “The strong one”? “Worthless if I can’t be of service?” “Who am I if I can’t carry it all?” “No mistakes”
Just… Vaggie and the fact that she was raised to provide service to someone else, losing that all and then finding purpose in someone else. Dedicating her life to a single cause or person.
“What’s the point of me?”
“Do whatever it takes, I’ll make the mistakes.”
Just… Vaggie

That’s one thing I’ve noticed is her ideas of redemption lacks nuance, and lacks a general understanding of why sinners do what they do. I really think if the show sat down for an episode and had her examine the life of a sinner like Angel or Cherri Bomb or Husk, it would do wonders for her character.
I cannot stand Hazbin Hotel TikTok, because there’s always one person who goes, “I cannot believe people like this character, they’re horrible person.”
That’s like… the entire point of the show? They’re all horrible people, who are trying to get redeemed. The likeliness your favorite character is actually going to be a good person is actually very slim… like the only two possible “unproblematic faves” is Charlie and maybe Emily. Let people enjoy shitty people.

How do you guys think Arackniss will be introduced to the series?
I don’t know if I want him introduced in a serious way or chaotic way.

I never thought of it like that. I don’t know if I would qualify her as a good or bad person, but definitely a deeply flawed one. She’s definitely the kind of activist who wants to help people but refuses to acknowledge her privilege or listen to the people she’s trying to help.
And if I’m being honest, I think that’s why the hotel isn’t doing great. She was able to redeem Sir Pentious, I guess, but the reason why she is unable to redeem Angel Dust is because she refuses to see sinners as the complex people they are. She does a lot of insensitive things throughout the show (like having Angel Dust of all people play the “evil crackhead” in the roleplay exercises?!)
I think this is why Husk is the one who gets through to Angel Dust, because he’s also a sinner, and he sees Angel as a complex person. He gets through to Angel by saying “I understand.”
I love Charlie, her and Angel Dust are my favorite characters, but she is a deeply flawed character, which is what I like about her.

I’m definitely a “come after my faves, I’ll come after yours” type of person though.
I don’t dislike Alastor as a character, but I’d be lying if I haven’t been in situations with Alastor stans talking about how they dislike certain characters because of their shitty morals, and I haven’t felt the need to respond with, “Dude, you stan a serial killer. 💀”
This is partially a joke, please don’t be mad.

Also, something rubs me the wrong way about people saying Angel Dust shouldn’t be in a relationship because he’s an abuse victim… just because of the implication that abuse victims shouldn’t be in relationships.
Do I think Huskerdust needs to happen immediately in season 2? No! Do I agree that Angel Dust needs to heal a little bit, and process his trauma and the way in which it has messed up his perception of love before getting into a relationship? However, saying that Huskerdust should never become canon because of Angel’s trauma just doesn’t sit right with me.
And I understand that trauma affects people in different ways, and part of some people’s healing IS not being in a relationship l, and I do think that is valid… however, again, saying this is the way Angel Dust MUST heal from his trauma also is kind of harmful.
"angel shouldn't be in a relationship with husk, he needs friends! he is an abuse survivor and spent his whole life thinking he is just a body, he needs platonic relationships to heal"
first of all, cherri is right there. are we watching the same show?
Tumblr media
maybe she doesn't have the best coping methods (and hey, that's actually a thing, it's a character flaw that can be worked on in the future!), but she doesn't do it with the intention of making him worse, she genuinely thinks this is a good thing and will be good for him.
she's addicted like angel, after all. but it doesn't mean she doesn't care about him, she does it because she cares and like i said, she thinks it's the right thing to do and will be good for him. and she respects angel being in the hotel
and he has other friends too, he has charlie, vaggie, niffty and pentious
and survivors can heal while in a romantic relationship. it's a very problematic mentality to think that we survivors can't be in a relationship. like what? can't we get better? heal, move on, fall in love?
and huskerdust aren't even a couple yet, viv confirmed that it's a slowburn
and for angel, having someone who likes him not just for his body is a good thing! this also helps him heal

I thought we left this whole “reblog if you aren’t a horrible person” posts (then threatening to unfollow anyone who doesn’t reblog)… back in 2012?

Not to mention, it’s pretty clear that Husk knows Angel likes to fight his own battles and he respects this. We see this in the episode where they go to the bar, and Angel was standing up to Val.
Both he and Cherri were ready to intervene if needed, but they didn’t. When Angel Dust wanted to go home, they went home, and that was that.
There’s this consistent trend I see in Hazbin fan content where it’s popular to portray Angel as beautiful, dainty, needy, and wanting to be saved. Meanwhile Husk is essentially the tall and forceful knight in shinning armor, whisking Angel off his feet and always being there to rescue him.
I’m not saying this is always bad- it’s cute! It’s fun, but because it is such a common trope within this fandom, I feel compelled to ask if that’s what we think of Husk and Angel.
Do we think of Angel as a damsel in distress? The eight foot tall mobster spider? The “I can handle myself, baby,” guy? The one who grew closer to Husk through a combination of respect and blood?
Angel needs help, but he does NOT want to be rescued. His femininity being used as a reason to pity him and see him as weak is exactly what he would hate and borders on a disturbing view of femme presentation as a whole.
Husk, on the other hand, is 1. Not tall 2. Not a knight in shining armor 3. Not always going to be the one doing the saving.
Literally gets saved in episode four by Angel before they end up fighting back together! They’re good for one another, they’re friends, they’re partners.
They’re losers on equal footing in this point in their life. Whittling them down to the expected stereotyped of masculine and feminine personally rubs me the wrong way, especially since I feel Hazbin Hotel excels at going against those exact types of expectations.
Obviously continue to have fun and make the content you want to see, I’m some dickhead online, i wrote this out as a way to vent from the feelings surrounding all of this. See yah.

I’ll make an exception…
People who make liking musicals their entire personalities will never be more annoying than people who make hating musicals their entire personality.
Because people who make musicals their entire personality are just finding enjoyment in things they love, even if they’re just a little cringe about it.
But some of y’all will see anything that is a musical or musical related, and will just bitch and complain about not liking musicals. Like… nobody is forcing you to consume musicals?

Like it or hate it, THIS IS BAD
Don’t think they’re gonna stop at TikTok with this ban. The language of the bill will allow the government to ban literally any social media platform they deem a “threat to national security”.
This bill is a direct infringement of the 1st Amendment, and y’all will think it’s fine cause you think TikTok is cringy. Banning TikTok is only the beginning for these ghouls. Call your senators for fuck sake.

NSFW WARNING, Minors do not interact with this post.
“I have a headcanon Angel Dust may be a power bottom but he sometimes likes to be in charge-“
That is what a power bottom is. A bottom that likes to be in charge. A dominant bottom.
