I'm waiting for the day sjws/BLM start attacking cosplayers or ppl who wear alt fashion because they are "culturally appropriating" wigs.

This whole “trust Tumblr blindly” thing is eventually going to kill someone, as I became pointedly aware of on one occasion I was making fun of how poorly a particular bleach-based drain declogger was working on my sink and got a chorus of really dangerously misinformed people telling me to pour vinegar in after it because all cute little cool kid diy home care blogs they’re following talk about vinegar like it it’s the big secret the cleaning companies don’t want you to know.

And I cringed knowing that someday, some Well Actually expert who read a blog article once is going to give that advice to someone who unfortunately didn’t take high school chemistry and isn’t aware that MIXING VINEGAR AND BLEACH MAKES CHLORINE GAS.

So you want to tell me, that An asian (let's go with japanese here) girl wanting to wear american style makeup and clothing because she thinks it looks cool is totally fine, but an american girl wanting to wear japanese style makeup and clothing because she thinks it looks cool is racist.

(I'm not even talking about geisha makeup, most outsiders of the geisha world do it wrong anyways, I'm talking about just general makeup and looks that are trending there.)

Let me tell you something: the only japanese people who will get offended over an american wearing Kimono, Yukata, japanese street fashion or just the general clothes trending there will be japanese americans who grew up with this toxic mindset that everything that white people do that even REMOTELY incorporates japanese elements is to offend and make fun of that culture or racists. Sure, the "geisha" costume at the halloween store is highly inaccurate, a stereotype and just plain HIDEOUS, but it is not your place to attack the wearer on it. Just pull the stick out of your ass for once and have some fun, that's the whole point of dressing up.

"But this costume sexualizes a part of my culture!!" Well let me Introduce you to rule 34: If it exists, there's porn/a sexy version of it.

((This also goes for any other culture. If someone incorporates parts of it to appreciate aka because they think it looks cool, it's not racist. There are exceptions like ceremonial or holy Items but there you have to closely examime the execution. A good example is Richie from Social Repose, who wears a native american Headdress, but had it made to be of no significance to native american culture, no eagle feathers, dark colours etc. He made a Video on that matter))

A melody of glass

Did you ever ask yourself why you humans are not allowed into the forest with the glowing white tree? Well let me tell you, that deep in this forest lies the gate to my our world. Sometimes, you see a shadow slip through it, it looks like a wolf -no- a big fox, scurrying through the leaves and fallen twigs on the ground and then, in the blink of an eye, it's gone again. Where did it go? Well, home, of course, through that barrier which only the fox, a Styx, and the birds can cross. Beyond that barrier lies another forest, named Pandora, however, this one is clad in black trees bearing crystals that dip the glades in a beautiful, blueish white light. On one of the glades in the east lies the city of the Styx, if you go north for three days and three nights, you will find the village of the snake-headed Baras and through the woods itself travel packs of wingless Landdragons, fierce and untaimable if you don't know their behavior. The shadow of the Styx, a female, is coloured by the cristalline light, her fur revealing it's red colour and ivory markings, adorned by black marked legs and piercing blue eyes. She will jog to her people, as she reaches the city her body is engulfed in white light, the fox changing to a beautiful young woman with the same red and black hair, held in a wild and layerd mane reaching down to her knees. Her fair skinned face showing a confident smile as she is greeted with cheers and howls from her peers. That is me. “For the last time Hinata, red and blue does not make green and red and green are not analogous colors! ” A (h/c) girl explained exasperatedly over and over again to the short fiery head male.

“But I swear, (l/n) - san! Sensei said something like that! Plus, Christmas colors should always be together!” Hinata protested stubbornly. A sigh shook the girl’s body and she stumped over on the desk. At said moment, a head of blond popped through the doorway. “Hinata, are you giving (y/n) a hard time?” An equally menacing glare shot through the small boy’s body as he slowly turned around to meet eye to eye to his ever smoking coach. “Heheh, of course not Coach! I’m just asking (l/n) s-something!” The girl raised her head from the desk to see the spiky haired Coach, and to chuckle ever so lightly at his hardened expression. It was rather nice to know that he cared enough to check on her wellbeing. “Don’t worry about it, Ukai-san. We’re done here anyways, let’s all have a break, hm?”

Hinata wooped and jumped out of the room immediately, shouting Kageyama’s name the entire way.(Something about practicing with him). Ukai instinctively hollered, “Shut up! You’re disturbing everyone!”

The art room was soon filled with a familiar silence, and the remaining duo sat comfortably in each other’s presence. (Y/n) slipped out a leather bound book from inside the desk, her own handwriting scribbled across the front cover. Opening it up, Ukai was overwhelmed by the infinite colors that danced and streamed across pages, forming beautiful scenery, faces and sketches. “W-woah!” He couldn’t help but wonder amazed at the extraordinary creations of the person in front of him. If he had admired her before, his admiration was increased tenfold upon seeing it.

“It’s not much, but I like to draw sometimes. It helps me think and release unwanted stress that builds up overtime.” The girl explained. She flipped through a few more wondrous pages before finding one that was vacantly blank, so different from the previous ones. “Say, what were you trying to explain to Hinata earlier?” Her pencil stopped a bit before she laughed softly.

“Oh, that. He was asking about analogous colors, something sensei said must have made home think of it.” Ukai himself reddened in the slightest as he tried to fumble over words that would so inconveniently not form. The sight of sunlight streaming through the glass window, that landed softly onto the girl’s hair, creating light rainbow hues was enough to send his heart beating faster that Hinata’s spikes.

“Would you mind, explaining it to me?” He almost facepalmed at how horribly unintelligent his question sounded and was expecting her to turn disgustedly away. He was prepared. But she didn’t respond like that. “Analogous colors are those that are beside each other on the color wheel, forever and always.”

At this moment, Ukai figured he had nothing to lose and so with the last bit of pride and confidence thrown against the wind, he ran his hand through his hair and muttered, “Will you be the red to my yellow, the blue go my green and stay forever together?”
