The galaxy deserves Order. The galaxy? It deserves Supreme Leader

For me, a Kylo Ren redemption arc is so much more than a chance for Reylo to happen, and I’m sick of antis saying that’s the only reason we want that to happen.

Kylo Ren is realistic portrayal of an abuse victim. He’s not a timid little boy who’s been broken by his abuser or a valiant champion fighting to save others from what he endured, but he’s angry, hurt, confused, he lashes out, and he’s trapped. His ability to trust has been broken by the realization that his family’s lied to him and by that being exploited by his abuser. He’s desperate for some sort of control in his life to make up for the skewed power dynamic he’s suffered because of. He’s not an ideal survivor, but a realistic victim.

He’s done bad things, but the circumstances surrounding his actions aren’t entirely black and white. He’s been influenced by Snoke for a lot of it, and there could have been a million different triggers for his decision to kill Han, from mercy killing to fear of Snoke himself. We don’t entirely know what’s going on with Ren, but we have plenty of subtext to work with.

Snoke is an abuser. He’s been haunting Ren since his birth. He’s lied to Ren, exploited his pain and insecurities, turned him against his family, made him give up his name, and, this you can see in TFA, has tried to isolate him. Snoke is an actual abuser and an actual villain. He’s manipulative, dishonest, and cruel. To our knowledge Ren has never lied, he’s shown mercy, and he’s proven to be straightforward, if also erratic and irrational.

Snoke is the one I want to see destroyed. The creepy bastard deserves it. But Kylo Ren, the man who’s been tormented since fetal development, lied to by his family, forced to give up his own name, isolated from those who actually care about him, used for a goal he might not actually agree with, and abused by an alien with pale pink skin and a fucked up face, that’s the man I want to see saved. It’s not because I want to see him kiss and cuddle Rey, it’s because I want to see an abuse victim who’s shown the ugly effects abuse has on person, work past his trauma and recover. I want to see him get revenge on his abuser, and I want to see him get better.

My First Love

If she thinks telling you she's leaving you for your best friend because she wants to see how you'd react is a good idea, she's abusive. If she thinks it's okay to come home and blame you that she let's some guy paw at her because you don't want to go out to a party, she's abusive. If she thinks it's okay to make you pick between her and the people you've known since you were in grade school, she's abusive. If you can't spend time with your family because it means she thinks you're ignoring her and she'll take it out on you, she's abusive. If you have to delete every girl out of your phone regardless of how you know them because she'll leave you otherwise, she's abusive. If your family gatherings become uncomfortable because she thinks the women there are judging her even if they don't say a bad word about her and she makes you stop going, she's abusive. If you feel like it's your fault when she tells you you're not a man because you live with your mother and sister and do what your parents say, she's abusive. If you feel like you can't leave her because of how she would react, she's (probably) abusive. If she insults your parents because they don't like the way they look at her and expects you to hate them, she's abusive. If she tells her friends you scream at her or beat her just to see if THEY'RE true friends and would stand up for her, she's abusive as well as psychotic. If she belittles you for what you like or for your hopes or dreams, she's abusive. These are all personal experiences from an ex-girlfriend. When i'd try to explain to people that I wasn't a bad guy these excuses came off whiny and like maybe I was the problem. After years it seemed normal and when we broke up I'd only wanted it back. It's not normal and people who thinks so are hurting and might not even realize it. When a person is being held like that nobody can reason with them. Physical abuse leaves bruises but mental and emotional abuse can leave scars and memories that will never go away. I'm only hoping that putting these out will maybe give me a little closure, because now I'm in a loving and caring relationship with @wiltingwillowws and I Love her very very much and she's shown me love isn't something dark and perverse and I know she'll understand the reason I'm putting this up and how it's just venting. Not that I expect anything. But things can get better and for me they have ❤️

Stormtrooper FN-2199, or TR-8R, has such a rich history outside the confines of “The Force Awakens”, I’d hate to think that a crossbow blast to the chest is the end of his story arch permanently. Worse things have happened to Star Wars characters in the past only to be resurrected through clever writing. I mean Boba Fett escaped the Sarlacc pit with a broken jet pack through some mental connection, telekinetic bullshit he had with the Sarlacc itself, and Darth Maul lived on a literal garbage planet, after getting sliced in half, for years. Until his long lost brother came to get him, and he he got a robot bottom half from some cult lady, so I’m sure that they can write in some way for FN-2199 having survived the blast. Who knows, he could be the new, sort of ominous bounty hunter type character. Or not, because I think that Captain Phasma already sort of fills that position. Whatever I just want to see him twirl that baton thing again.
