Egg Shells to break Defences

I recently made some painted eggs for Spring and I had leftovers. I made a hole in each end with a pin, blew out the insides and rinsed them. Now that they're dried out I can use them un hexes when I want to "break" someone's defences/protections.

Eggs are incredibly strong and they shell houses and physically protects a living being. So in a hex I want to do, I'll paint and customise the egg with whatever I feel makes it resemble my targets defences and then completely shatter them.

Im honoured to have been asked to so a spoken presentation or my Witch Circle on Talking with Spirits. Ive had some practice and one day I'd like to use my gift to help people talk to their loved ones who have crossed over through seance or divination. For now i want to practice my ancestor ritual using a tiny bit of blood and see how many ancestors i can get in contact with. Im very tired with this eclipse season and i dont have the mental energy to finish this written task for a few days.

I wont be offering to so another presentation like this its too difficult when im a full time mother.

Parks and Vibrations

Usually the cooler months of 2024 are a refreshing respite from the intense sun, however not this year.

It was a winter of rain and freezing winds. I went to the park lands a few times to see what spirits and energies were waking up for winter but there was nothing around.

There were a few guardians aroud which were telling me to stay out of the park, perhaps they wanted to use the winter to rest from humans travelling over the park.

Now it's October and Spring is here, the park energy feels off balance in soem areas. Once November comes and the trees have woken up again i think the park will be back in balance

Connecting with Ancestor Ritual (Warning Blood Use)

Time: Best done on a New Moon at night Tools: White or black pillar candle. Pendulum or Tarot Cards. Offering of New Moon water or food, pin/sharp blade to draw a drop of blood.

Begin by centring your energy in a 5-10 minute meditation. Feel roots spread out from your spine through the floor, down through the earth through the underground rivers and caves. Now come back to your heart space, and picture a beam of light (any colour that calls to you) shooting from the top of your head to the astral above. Feel as it passes through our solar system and past the milky way to the galaxies beyond. Now return to your heart space.

If you choose to use blood ( This helps call in direct DNA lineage and not to get muddled with other spirits) prick your finger or knee (tough skin) and add a drop or so to the candle. Light the candle and say:

"Ancestors of this blood I call you to come here on this night, hear me as this sacred passage I recite; We have never met yet we gazed at the same moon, if you walk the crooked path with me please wake from your tomb. For I want to know my lineage, my blood and my bones you are welcome here within my hearth and home"

Now keep your eyes closed and your mind empty as you wait for a feeling, a presence of a spirit. You will know when one is around.

Now take out your pendulum to and ask them questions only a true ancestor will know the answer to such as your heritage, last name's origins and the name of any grandparents you know. When they show they answer true and are an ancestor and not a trickster spirit you can continue with the conversation.

From here you may use whatever divination you feel calls to you, don't be surprised if a spirit only wants to drop by adn say a short hello at the beginning they're just dropping by.

When you are done say "this offering of "X" is for you, I give gratitude to my lineage of all those who struggled and survived before so I am blessed to be here today. Thank you and Blessed Be"

Leave the offering on a table with the candle burning for 30 minutes.

Ive started doing simple yet very effective pendulum sessions with my Ancestors. This is the first time I've ever tried and have spoken to them.

We no longer live in a world where stories of grandparents from 4 generations ago are carried down so I though "what if I just spoke to them directly?"

Ive had a couple come through on my catholic side who were very against talking to a witch, they were full of the classic "repent for your sins energy" then a female relative from Scotland and a male from South America were so happy to talk to me and their energy was fucking beautifilul and a blessing have witnessed. Ill do more work with these 2 spirits while building a family ancestor tree spirit team.

Fuck it this blog is now my digital catalogue of all the stuff i come accross as an Australian Witch

Yes I'm stuck in the southern hemisphere where the seasons are opposite of the northern folk.

Easter is in autumn

Halloween is in spring

Christmas is in summer

If anything its pushed me to reject what media is shoved in my face through the holiday seasons and get in touch with our local seasons more (wheel of the year somewhat applies to this)

With the ancestry of Australia's settlement being of Irish descendants we have LOTS AND I MEAN LOTS OF FAE.

We have a rich collection of trees and animals purely native to this chunk of land.

I'm going to make my own alternated version of The Wheel of the Year incorporating Australia's "Six Seasons"

(Once i knew we had six seasons it made sense why the usual 4 didn't click in this country)

For me grounding and re connecting with the earth with bare feet isnt enough.

I go out and hug trees in the park

I need that full frontal assalt of energy on my body, face torso legs the whole deal

Ive always been a tree hugger as a kid and i feel it helped me regulate exess energy but also have an (at the time) unknown strong connection with the park spirits

Grounding and Centering

If you haven't already, visit my visualisation lessons for the background info needed for this lesson.

Being able to ground and centre your energy is very useful in meditation and spell work. Using basic visualisation techniques, you can change and manipulate the energy you are putting out, raise your vibration, or bring yourself back to reality after spellwork. Let's go over the specifics and how to do them, but the TLDR is that grounding is connecting to the energy of the universe around you, and centering is aligning this energy with your intention.

Grounding

Grounding can be done before or after spellwork, and it depends on what feels right for you. The idea is to draw neutral energy from the earth and the universe, as the energy within ourselves can often be unstable because of our emotions or other external influences. It can also be used to send excess energy back into the earth, preventing feeling wired or unable to sleep after spellwork. Here are some easy ways to practice grounding.

Visualise tree roots spreading down from your legs, connecting you to the earth, and branches spreading up from your arms into the sky connecting you to the universe. Consider the energy of the universe being drawn into you through these roots and branches.

Consider your energy as running water, perhaps from a tap or a river. To prevent excess energy, visualise this tap being turned off, or the flow of the river being stopped.

When I practice divination or dreamwork, I sometimes visualise my third eye opening before and then closing again after to prevent using this energy constantly.

Eat something or take a shower after spellwork to quickly ground yourself.

You can try standing barefoot in the dirt or even rain as a quick and more literal way to ground.

Centering

Centering involves drawing energy inward before spellwork, allowing us to align this energy with our intention and the mentality needed to carry out magick. It prevents passing thoughts, feelings and distractions from making our energy and spellwork less effective. Where you feel your energy centering is different for everyone - it might be behind your third eye, in your heart, your stomach, or in the palms of your hands. Wherever it may be, the point is to draw this scattered energy inward. Here are some methods.

Visualise your energy fragmented around you, as shattered glass, water droplets, or whatever feels right. Consider drawing this energy towards your centre, as though you are a magnet pulling these fragmented pieces back into a whole.

As you are drawing your energy in, meditate on your intention and the end goal of your spellwork. Or why you are centering your energy - is it to have better control over the existing energy in your body, or to set an intention for the neutral energy drawn in through grounding? The aim is to have a concentration of energy with a specific intention.

Centering can be used for changing your vibration specifically for different kinds of spellwork - where a protection spell would require a different type of energy to that of cursing.

Note: Some people will use these terms interchangeably or to mean one overarching thing, and others will specify whether they mean centering or grounding as I have done here. The two practices are very similar and can overlap, so don't worry about getting them confused. The important thing is to do what feels right for your practice and whatever helps you.

You don’t have to have fancy crystals and herbs for spell jars btw. You can use sugar, coffee grounds, leaves, acorns, etc. Don’t fall victim to witchcraft consumerism.

Ill be using my spirit board this month as the vein thins. Even in the southern hemisphere we can feel a change, a presence of taps on the shoulder and smells in the air that are the tell tale signs of spirits coming ever closer to us.

Im currently doing alot of reading for some low evergy witchyness as i have no energy for spells or meditation or even to do a pendulum reading at the end of the day with a busy lifestyle.

Fourth wing was entertaining however the smut was cringe and the dialogue was also so cringe enducing at times i had to physically put the book down to think "jesus who let this be published this is fucking horrible writing"

Liam dying at the end had me sobbing in a cafe.

And ive heard horrendous reviews of the 2md book where there is suppose to be 5 in the series?

Sometimes when ur 32 you want to find escapism and not have to invest in a world of titanic proportions such as GOT to find it. however smut often goes hand in hand with terrible writing, taking the drivers seat and plumiting us off the cliff named "are althere no more good stories to be told"
