This is my first attempt at an AMV-style edit, syncing scenes to the lyrics. The song is "M" by DaiTank (Дайте Танк!), a Russian indie band. It’s about masculinity, vulnerability, and how men often hide their pain—until it’s too late.

English translation of the lyrics:

What you think about Dr. Gears? Do you have some weird theories about him? Like he's son of 05-1? Or smth like that

I don't have too many theories about Gears. He's some dude I occasionally work with. I'm fairly fond of him; he's about the only damn person around here I can straightfowardly respect. I do worry about him a bit, because I'm sure he's still feeling all that shit somewhere and it's going to have to come out eventually, but hey. We all have our methods of coping, and I can hardly judge.

I do have a puzzling story about him, though. Once, we were working on something together and it was necessary to spend the night in some dive hotel somewhere. We had this tiny room, barely enough room for the beds and this rickety old table that I didn't even risk putting my camera on because it would have probably collapsed. We're hitting the hay, and Gears is booting up his laptop, so I ask what he's doing. I'm assuming more work, as the man doesn't stop, but he tells me he's putting on something to watch while he gets to sleep.

I'm surprised, I won't lie. It's so normal; I guess I didn't expect it of him. I ask him what he's going for, thinking probably some white noise or something, and he says, "Something relaxing."

He then puts on a car crash compilation video. I'm talking proper crazy car crashes, people flipping and rolling and all kinds of shit. He doesn't have the volume on high, but it's high enough that I can hear all the tires screeching and everything. And he puts the laptop down on the bed beside him, lays back, folds his hands over like a fucking vampire, and goes to sleep.

Now what am I supposed to do with this? Both potential options confuse the hell out of me. Either he was being serious, and this man actually watches compilations of utter road carnage to relax, or he was fucking with me, proving he is still capable of honest to god joking. It's been years and I'm still arguing with myself over it. I did ask him once, but all he said was, "Ah. Yes. I remember that hotel. The bed was lumpy." Which, y'know, doesn't fucking help.

Do you like Crocs? Does Clef wear them often? (This is an important question)

I fucking love Crocs. Mine are lime green. Are they fashionable? Arguable. Are they practical? Yes. Absolute perfect all-terrain footwear. Don't want your feet to be too hot? Don't want them to get too wet or sweaty? Don't want weird shit in the ocean touching your toes? Crocs got your back.

I'm not sure how often Clef wears Crocs but I'm sure I pull them off better than he does.
