Oh? 👀 Well I'm definitely very intrigued by the summary you've left on my post!

The idea of an "evil" Mario is one that has highly interested me ever since I first played Mario Sunshine many years ago. I love the concept and the infinite possibilities that come with it! 💥💯 It's honestly great, and its versatility makes it all the better. 👌 So I quite like the thought of a dark spell corrupting the man (especially one that would end up showing even nastier side-effects!) 🪄

But OMG, Mario's evil side becoming Wario? 😂 That's hilarious! Welp, at least Peach and Luigi did manage to fix things to a certain extent! x3

I LOVE this concept! Especially since it strongly resembles the climax of the Mario movie sequel fanfic I'm working on.

In said fanfic, Bowser indeed fights an evil Mario to protect Peach. However, they haven't switched bodies. Instead, Mario has been corrupted by an evil spell cast by a bigger villain. Bowser of course isn't going to let his beloved "Peaches" be hurt by the "mustachioed human" who "ruined his wedding". So for him, it's PAYBACK TIME >:D

In the subsequent battle, Mario initially has the upper hand. But then the spell suddenly backfires and he begins displaying multiple "evil" personalities which absolutely can't stand each other. With Mario basically no longer able to control himself, Bowser flips the outcome of the battle in his favor. Just as he's about to complete his revenge... Luigi and Peach interfere and break the fight up. They love Mario too much to let him get killed, no matter what. Not surprisingly Bowser is appalled by this, to the point where he begins to question whether Peach is even the right girl for him.

Later on, Peach manages to break the spell with the power of true love. This causes Mario's good and evil sides to split into two separate beings, with the evil side mutating into Wario.

WAHAHAHAHAHA!

"The Princess will welcome me with open arms... and there's nothing you can do about it!"

Before officially bringing Bowser back in my art, I felt like revisiting the body swap concept I had shared sometime last year. Switching two contrasting characters' personalities is always a fascinating exercise for me, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to draw 'Evil Mario' again! 👀
