The Winter Solstice Event is Officially Over!

The moment you've all been waiting for! But before I announce which team won, there are smaller awards to be given out little nods at the people who did maybe too much for this event!

Something we like to do after the event is over is give out little awards to those who did the most, for those of you also in the Discord Server, you may already know who all got what, or maybe you saw on our Twitter.

Who Earned the Most Points

For the JackRabbits is FloatingNebulas with 3880 points!

and for the MadHatters is Aspen with 4370 points!

Who Wrote All 12 Prompts

These starts go to FloatingNebulas, Aspen, Auri, Alloxyn, BelovedCampfire, and Mayrine!

Most Active Member on Each Team

The mods came together and decided on who the most active member of each team was. (Aspen needs people to know that they did push back on this but us mods insisted)

The most active JackRabbit was Blue/Kit! Who almost consistently did word of the day like every other day.

And the most active MadHatter was Aspen!

Funniest Use of a Prompt and The Most Creative Use of a Prompt

The Funniest Use of a Prompt goes to Cyborg for his Hatsune Miku fic

And the Most Creatuve Use of a Prompt goes to 'tuff the dwarf' for their Poem fic!

You guys truly inhabited the spirit of the event :)

Who Scrapped the Most Fics

Aspen warned Blue in advance that we were going to do this so it really shouldn't be a surprise. Blue/Kit !! gets a star for scrapping 22 fics over the course of the event. But honestly if that's not the realest thing

Who Wrote the Most for This Event

Last BUT NOT LEAST, the person who WROTE THE MOST for this event was Alloxyn (Bri) with OVER 54,000 words!!! And Alloxyn gets a typewriter instead of a star, how fun is that

And now.... For the Winners!

Now what You all REALLY Want. The winner of this event, with near DOUBLE the points of the other team is the Madhatter's with 23,230 total points!! Congratulations everyone!! It's well deserved and we are all so proud of you

Also, Jackrabbits ended the event with 15,710 points! A valiant effort on their part.

Aspen and Lore didn't think we'd get many people for the first event back in July and they certainly didn't think that you'd all stick around for the winter event.

The Scriptures of the Solstice Event has officially started today (December 1st, 2024)!!

If you don't know what the Scriptures of the Solstice is, it's a multi-fandom writing event run two times a year (at the Summer solstice and at the winter solstice, give or take a month) with a set of prompts for each week of the month! There is a week five that acts and serves as a 'catch all' where you can post a fic from any point during the event!

Meaning:

Week One has three prompts with the goal of writing a fic with those three prompts, can be submitted during week one and week five.

Week Two has three prompts with the goal of writing a fic with those three prompts, can be submitted during week two and week five.

Week Three has three prompts with the goal of writing a fic with those three prompts, can be submitted during week three and week five.

Week Four has three prompts with the goal of writing a fic with those three prompts, can be submitted during week four and week five.

Week Five any fic can be submitted.

There are also 4 Alternative Prompts that you can use if a prompt doesn't fit your fancy or your story!

You do not have to write for all the weeks, and you can sign up any time you want! Sign ups remain open until the event ends!

Hello! And welcome to the Solstice Tumblr account. We are very grateful to be seeing you all here. Now, let’s do a little bit of explaining.

You might be wondering “well dear tumblr person who we don’t know the name of. What is the solstice event you speak about.” Well, let me tell you!

The solstice event is an event that runs twice a year, once as the summer solstice and another as the winter solstice. These take place during their respective months. This is a teambased event for any fandom (or even OC works.)

Each week of the chosen month has 3 prompts you are able to choose and write for. We encourage participants to use as little or as many prompts, and as little or as many words as they would like.

During the fifth week of the event we allow everyone to post any fics or missing content that they may have missed during the first 4 weeks. All this to say, if this interests you. Stop by our discord, check out our carrds and of course, particpate in the event! We’d love to have you!!
