I hate when the things people on the internet want me to hate is stuff that helps me connect with my friends

Liking stuff like hasbin hotel or taylor swift's music for example brings a lot of conversations and joy I can share with my friends and then I log in and people all make fun of people who like them

Maybe im just protective of my friends because it irritates me a lot more then my other interests being made fun of

yknow i never noticed the sheer rareness of images having ids or alt text on this website until i started adding alt text to my art (and trying to remember to add it to any images i post in general, especially text screenshots) and that makes me kinda sad

Hi, I was wondering if you would consider using the tag #onewaybroadcast or #radiosilence (no space) rather than #radio silence (with a space) for your Alastor x Vox posts?

Radio Silence is the name of an Oseman book (that also has a canon a-spec character) and it’s harder for both Oseman fans and Hazbin fans to find the content we’re looking for if the tags are mixed up like that.

There was actually a poll recently on ship tags for one-sided Alastor x Vox shipping, with over 1,000 voters, so you’re also likely to get more reach (on tumblr, specifically) using the winner, #onewaybroadcast

online communities are so strange because people slip away so easily. you can be on here for years, folding people you've never met into the fabric of your daily life, and then they disappear, leaving only ghost posts scattered across tumblr behind. or their blog stays dormant, for weeks, months, years, until you're only still following them because you remember that they love sunflowers or they were kind to you when they didn't have to be or the last thing they posted was sad and raw and you still worry about them sometimes.

and sometimes they come back when you least expect it, years later, even, and there's this sudden rush of relief like there you are, there you are, even though you barely knew each other.

there's a strange kind of love to it. i don't know you and i want to hold your hand across miles and time zones and oceans. i can still see the imprint of you in this community you left. you don't think anyone will notice or care when you're gone, but we notice and we care and we wish you well.

i hope you're all okay out there. i hope the sun is shining on your face and you are breathing deeply. i miss you.

Fanfic tiktok is wild... I see so many people saying shit like "I could never read anything below 60k!!", or "What story can you even tell in under 5k words?" or "A oneshot below 10k isn't even a story!" or "I always filter completed fics by 100k< only!"

And I'm like...

A) which fandoms are you reading fics for where you have this kind of offerings on the regular?

B) have you heard of short stories? If you truly think every story NEEDS to be longform to connect with people, I sincerely feel sorry for you.

C) Average novel length is between 50k to 100k. I'm sorry, but CONSISTENTLY demanding fic writers to push out fics of that length is insane. Just think about it: YOU DEMAND AUTHORS TO PUT OUT FICS THAT COMPARE TO COMMERCIAL NOVELS IN LENGTH (AND QUALITY) AS A BASELINE.

Yall are wilding.

i mean this in the gentlest way possible: you need to eat vegetables. you need to become comfortable with doing so. i do not care if you are a picky eater because of autism (hi, i used to be this person!), you need to find at least some vegetables you can eat. find a different way to prepare them. chances are you would like a vegetable you hate if you prepared it in a stew or roasted it with seasoning or included it as an ingredient in a recipe. just. please start eating better. potatoes and corn are not sufficient vegetables for a healthy diet.

With Vox, the focus of the shot is on his screens, because his power is his control over practically every screen and camera in the city. Vox is there to control them, but he himself, without the screens, isn't depicted as particularly powerful. With Alastor, the focus of the shot is on Alastor's alternative form, because his power comes from that. His radio set is in the background as a tool through which his raw power shines.
