Sleep Token - The artists you can't fit in one box

I've noticed Sleep Token getting alot of hate and discourse over their music and their experimental style. People calling them 'baby making metal' or not metal at all feels like a misunderstanding of their creativity.

In a world full of trends, labels and aesthetics, I'm glad we have at least one band that isn't afraid to remain flexible in their artstyle. That's what artists are, after all - products of infinite imagination.

Alongside this, I'm pretty sure the lore behind their music gives them all the more right to be as experimental as they want. They aren't just artists, they're story-tellers.

Sure, you're well within your opinion to dislike their music, but discrediting them because they don't stick to one genre is like telling a portrait artist that their abstract work isn't art. It's still and always will be a form of art.

it warms my heart how, at the end of naruto, instead of sasuke and sakura getting together right after he comes back to konoha, as a lot of shonen would do bc the guy is back and the girl still loves him, so they get married, he decides to have a journey of self healing first. i think it’s just so perfect and such a good message. he didn’t want to be with sakura without figuring himself out first, without making sure he was as free of his demons as he could be, and that he would be able to care for her and be good for her, like she always wanted to be for him. and how sakura understands and accepts it and just waits for him. it’s just really nice to see that after all the chaos they went through it wasn’t just ignored bc “she could fix him” or whatever shit, the both of them spent time growing and changing and understanding themselves better before they entered a relationship, and that’s why they worked so well together and got married so quickly after they got together again. blank period sasusaku has a perfect set up for a healthy and stable relationship, and I like how we have information enough to prove that, but at the same time a lot of space for fan speculations
