While Nichole and Andre dispute over Kori's residency, she took it upon herself to have some fun. She closes her eyes and pretends she's performing for thousands of people in an open stadium. Tickets sold out for every night, fans cheering and screaming her name, the blinding lights casted solely on her, only in her dreams could Kori be this happy. She finally opens her eyes and steps back inside, only to be met with wet slobbery kisses! The doggy loved her performance!

Nichole lights her cigarette before getting off of Andre. "From what I can tell her parents are not in the picture. Seems like a sensitive topic-"

"Sensitive my ass! She can't just come in here rent-free and act like this place is hers! If she ain't paying the bills she can go back from wherever the hell she came from."

"Andre she lives in the abandoned house across the street. It's going to get cold soon."

"So what? Are we a homeless shelter now?? Don't piss me off."

Nichole stops to glare at him. She crosses her arms maintaining eye contact with her man.

"You took me in at my lowest. Had you not, I guarantee you I would not be here right now. We both know that girl is not going to survive on her own. Say whatever you need to say but that girl is struggling, and if you're gonna' turn a blind eye, her death is gonna' fall on you."

Andre turns away from Nichole, not saying anything for a couple seconds.

"If you want to take in the charity case that gonna' be YOUR responsibility. YOU feed her, YOU buy her shit. Figure out where she's gonna' sleep because she sure as hell ain't taking my bed too."

A smile creeps up the sides of Nichole's mouth. She takes the cigarette out of her mouth and places it in Andre's, and places herself back on him.

"Not anymore."

There was no use in lying. It was about time someone reached out and asked if Kori was okay. She had been spending 90% of her days in her friend Tommy's house, wearing the same two outfits for the past week, and truthfully starting to stink. She wanted someone to notice, but didn't want to come off as desperate.

"That's not the answer I was hoping for."

Nichole squinted her eyes at Kori, trying to gauge the intensity of the troubled teen's situation. The girl didn't seem too bothered by it, but the woman could tell that she was unwell.

"I don't like my parents. They don't like me. I can't go back to them. Don't make me."

"I'm not going to do anything you don't want me to. I just need to know why you're always at my damn house, hun'."

Kori takes a sip of her drink while eyeing Nichole. No use in lying about her living situation either. Oddly enough, she has a feeling she can confide in Nichole.

"I live- or I guess I sleep in the abandoned house. Right across the street. That is- when I'm not sleeping here."

"I've heard enough. Go take a shower the bathroom's down the hallway. I'll hand you a towel and some of my clothes. Give me all of your clothes. I need to do laundry tonight."

Kori promptly gets up from her chair and walks off. Nichole clicks her tongue, watching her enter the bathroom. It's as if she's watching her younger self walk past.

Comically, a dark cloud forms over Kori as soon as it seems as life was getting brighter for her. What a party pooper. Now it's a race against her and nature, hoping to get to shelter before the lightning catches up. Back to Tommy's house it is!

No parents in sight, no worries. Kori has never felt happier since leaving her toxic household behind and she has no plans on going back. It's as if she can finally breathe. The peace has her realize that her life starts now, and that she needs to make the most of it. Doesn't matter if she's borderline homeless, broke, and alone. Nothing and no one will get in her way of achieving the life she deserves.

Food is hard to come by. Especially when you have no job and barely any simoleons in your pocket. Luckily for Kori, she found herself a ham and cheese sandwich sitting perfectly inside some yoga studio. Mind you, the girl was ravenous. She walked into the studio and shamelessly stole someone's lunch. No one came looking for their beloved sandwich. It's almost a little suspicious...

Kori accidentally slept over at Tommy's house, but no one in his household seems too bothered by it. She woke up alone on the same sofa she dozed off on with Tommy. Hungry, she shamelessly steps out to where she hears chatter on the front porch and is greeted by Tommy and his brother's girlfriend.

"Morning sunshine." The woman says to Kori, looking her up and down.

"Hi mam', good morning."

"Oh please don't be so formal. You can call me Nichole." She takes a sip of her drink before speaking again.

"Tommy you son of a bitch if you're gonna' have your girlfriends come over take care of them at least. For crying out loud."

The boy promptly steps inside and comes back with a plate of leftover pizza rolls. Kori thanks him and he nonchalantly nods before hitting his vape.

"Here ya' go sweetheart. Welcome to the family. I hope y'know what you're getting yourself into." The older woman says as she gives Kori her joint. From this point forward she would find herself spending most of her time at Tommy's house. Any home is better than no home, right?

My game was broken for months and I finally fixed it! (shoutout to adhd)

Sorry for the sudden hiatus! I just literally could not be bothered to look at my mods folder after all the patch updates EA loves pumping out and not actually fix anything helpful.

But I'm back with a newfound infatuation for the sims, so that means Kori's story returns! It's pretty late where I'm at so our regular programing will resume tomorrow. In the meantime enjoy this cute lil moment I captured between Kori and her next door neighbor. Silly gal you barely know this kid...it would be such a shame if he broke your heart or something like that. (◑‿◐)

Waking up with an upset tummy (probably from that twinkie yesterday) Kori heads to a local Japanese restaurant in town and hopes it isn't too expensive. She heads to the back and asks what the cheapest things on the menu are. The bartender scoffs.

"Sparkling water and pretzels..?"

"I was hoping for at least something with rice, but I'll take it. Oh and can I have plain water instead?"

The bartender serves her sparkling water. Beggars can't be choosers.

After school Kori decides she's gonna walk around town because she's got nothing better to do. That's when she stumbles upon a music lounge, perfect! She can take her stolen guitar and hone on her pitch and notes here. Plus she's got a free twinkie from some kid in her class. Maybe this new life ain't so bad.

Look who took the advice from my previous post! Kori managed to break through the back window of the abandoned house in the middle of the night. Not suspicious at all. Then realized she still has school in the morning despite everything. She plops down on the kitchen floor that looks like it hasn't been stepped on since 1994 and does what she can of her homework. With 50% of it done and the will of the watcher, she catches her school bus and is off! Look at her being studious! (She's listening to Loveless and doodling in her notebook.)

Maybe running away without a set-in-stone plan wasn't the best idea. Kori's learning it the hard way. She's been running around under the summer sun all day, trying to find food and ways to make a quick buck. With the sun setting and no food nor new money added to her pocket, Kori wails out in exhaustion.

"Can't the universe give me a break!? I'm just a girl!"

Unfortunately, you're only given the cards you're dealt with girlie. You just have to know how to make use of them. Speaking of which, what's that behind you Kori? Could it possibly be an abandoned house? Maybe you can clean up in there because you STINK.

Challenge says your teenager runs away with a hundred dollars to their name and a guitar. Kori does have 100$ but considering she probably didn't have enough funds to own a guitar, let's say she found one near her new neighborhood and decided to "borrow" it. the first post for my simblr! ♫

Life had always been unkind to poor Kori. Ever since birth she was surrounded by chaos and strangers. By age 17 she decided she was going to leave her so called family behind and finally begin living her life. Taking only a backpack full of clothes, (because fashion was very important to her) her headphones, and tamagotchi, she ran away from her broken home to a seemingly even more broken house. Hoping to start fresh, Kori dreams of the new life that awaits her.

I'm doing it! I'm biting the bullet and finally starting a simblr for the first sim I've made on my brand new pc! (SLAY)

I've always wanted to make a sim blog because I genuinely love storytelling and well, why keep my stories only to myself? Plus I need a hobby. Honestly I don't know how to use tumblr but I'm sure I'll figure it out. ƪ(˘⌣˘)ʃ

Anyway...this is Kori Sour! My gen 0 sim to the start of the Sour Legacy Challenge created by @dizzywhims. I already played with her before making this post but only for screenshots and to flesh out her character a bit. I'm super proud of her I love her SO much. I can't wait to see how her story develops and I hope you tag along with me!
