Maxwell: Cursed? I'm not cursed! Who told you that?
Van: *tucking her clearly cursed prosthetic behind her back* nope, I'm definitely not cursed!
Marya: *on the brink of tears* I'm so cursed

Do you know how often people lie when they're first dating? Just to appease or protect the feelings of the other person?
This food is great, I didn't mind that you were late, I really love this gift.
We're taught that lying about these things is a kindness, but for Charlie that has to be hell.
Knowing when people are superficial or just putting up with you sounds good until you realize just how many people are lying to your face in the name of being nice.
And then someone comes along and they genuinely like you. They genuinely love your thoughtful gifts.
A breath of fresh air, a real connection.
And then they're gone.
Man, that hurts. It hurt to watch knowing how it would end.
For a moment Charlie had happiness and just like that it was gone.
I really hope that feeling is expressed in the next episode or even used to explain why Charlie continues to drift.

Did I just cry over a horse book at the ripe age of 21? Yes, yes I did. But in my defense it was The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater.

Odysseus, you think Penelope will reject you for your war crimes? Girlie is a Spartan, all you've done is matched her freak.

I've only read the Way of Kings in the Stormlight Archive so far, but here's my understanding of the main characters.
Kaladin: spends a thousand pages begging for one good day, and then doesn't know what to do with himself once he finally does.
Shallan: my life is tragic because my actions have consequences
Dalinar: either I'm crazy or the world is ending and honestly I'm bad at politics but everyone should listen to me anyways.
Syl: is my perfect baby and if anything happens to her, I'll cry a thousand tears. My feelings about her and her feelings about Kaladin are the same.
That one guy who might be God but is probably dead: he gives me Obi-Wan Kenobi vibes

Me who barely understands who Tony Danza is: Who is Criss Angel? Where is his shirt? And what does he look like when he's not biblically accurate?

Vox Machina just led the largest offensive in Exandrian history, met their objective, and immediately went home.
Didn't even message Allura about it.

Just watched Silence of the Lambs (1991) for the first time and I don't know anything else about the rest of the franchise.
I went to tumblr for peer review, as you do, and now I'm so confused.
Is Clarice gay? Or is that just Jodie Foster?
Why are the 90's FBI fandoms merging like it's 2013 Hiccup/Merida/Tangled/Jack Frost?
Apparently, the FBI fires Clarice (for being a girl???) and then she romances the cannibal *in that order* and there's a fierce argument about if that's the appropriate feminist response to oppression?
At some point, Clarice is drugged but despite this, she decides not to be Lecter's sister (which is, maddeningly, an option somehow)?
Why did the movie make the moment they brush hands so weird?
What happened to the roommate? Does anyone else care about the roommate?
I'm truly baffled by this corner of the internet.

Matron of Ravens: the Arch Heart is dumb, but so is everyone else for different reasons. Instead of breaking the Divine Gate and freeing the betrayer gods, let the mortals try The Power of Love/Friendship™ first.

Okay, but are the Exandrian gods really that bad at their jobs?
Sure the Matron of Ravens doesn't like the undead and isn't a fan of revivify because she's a death goddess. Why would she like these things?
Sure the Everlight is a bit naive, too trusting for her own good, but isn't that what you expect from the goddess of compassion?
Sure the Arch Heart acts like a bored think-tank philanthropist, but do you expect any different from a Prometheus whose never been punished?
The God of Betrayal betrays people, can you believe it?
Aeor pointed a gun at the gods and found out that the gods will defend themselves. Why was anyone surprised? Even animals defend themselves.
The whole pantheon is very straightforward and each god stewards their domain as they're supposed to. Compared to the Greeks or Aztecs, they're doing great.
Why would you want to violently overthrow that stability for a power vacuum in a world where evil necromancers, Psychopath wizards, liches, etc exist? Because the gods acted within their nature?

The Arch Heart vision was great, truly masterful storytelling, but the hard cut from that to the two NPC fey guards having the worst most confusing day of their lives has me wheezing.

Something I’ve come to love ever since Downfall happened, is that every now and again, if you watch Ashley, Tal, or Laura closely, you can see the Everlight, Wildmother, or the Matron of Ravens in their reactions until they remember which character theyre supposed to be playing

I like to think that nobody questioned the Mighty Nein taking on the Weave Mind because nobody else wanted to fight the Weave Mind.
