As a huge fan of Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles, I just had to edit this show. My video is a character study of Louis de Pointe du Lac and a tribute to Jacob Anderson’s stunning performance.

When it comes to editing movies and shows that just came out, I’m always a bit late on the latest trends. So here’s my tribute to Selina Kyle as portrayed by Zoe Kravitz in The Batman. With this specific edit, I tried making it more of a story recap than my usual type of trailer-style tribute.

Sunnydale High Library: a new Buffy book club on Discord
Hello there, my fellow Buffy fans.
Our newly-founded Discord book club is looking for members who wish to participate in monthly read alongs and discussions about the many BtVS and Angel tie-in novels (both old and new) published over the years.
Every month we select a new book, and we divide it into sections. Each section has its own chat room, where members can discuss that specific part of the novel. This way everyone can catch up at their own pace, and join without getting spoiled or spoiling others.
The club has just started reading its first book, In Every Generation by Kendare Blake.
If you wish to join us, here’s the link to the Discord server: https://discord.gg/DHKeAmZ7YX
Oh, and please, don’t speak Latin in front of the books 🔥

After completing my first rewatch of this phenomenal show, I came back to editing to create this mega trailer/tribute. If you have never seen Penny Dreadful, do yourself a favor and go check it out. Eva Green’s performance is one for the ages.

A tribute to the first season of Superman & Lois, and to Tyler Hoechlin’s portrayal of this iconic character.

Being relatively green to video editing, for me GMV is a whole new genre. It was quite fun to explore its possibilities with this tribute to one of my favorite games I played this year.

This edit had been on the back of my mind for months. I must admit I felt a bit wary to tackle the project, because Buffy the Vampire Slayer is one of my favorite shows of all time, and I really wanted the video to make justice to its greatness. Hopefully the final result is not too shabby.

I realize the character of Rose became quite controversial and polarizing in the second season of Black Summer. I totally understand why. That being said, personally, I love her. So here’s my fan trailer/tribute to this fierce bad ass mama.

ok hot take but i hate 90% of the fanvids on youtube these days, because most of them rarely make use of the medium of turning a vid into a visual essay that used to be the norm for traditional vidding during the noughts to mid-2010′s.
and it sounds really pretentious, but most those vids arent even nice to look at. they’re a fucking eyesore. the over saturated colours, the weird transitions, distracting lyrics on screen, and the way dialogue is cut makes for a really chaotic, jumbled viewing that has no hypothesis or structure - nothing stands on its own, and the dialogue is often mixed so badly with the lyrics of the song that i can’t actually focus on either. the song used to be the backbone of the vid, a well paired source text + the right song could be magical. but now it’s like they’re just….background decoration? just a soundtrack to whatever over-edited clips that is being presented to us.
and i think a lot of it is inspired by gif culture and fandom graphics? because as a graphic maker, i feel like that’s what it really tried to ape, making 3-min long graphics and gifs set to song. which is….fine, really but it’s so boring and it’s just the worst trend in vidding ever.
fanvids used to be this really great way to using visual + audio media to create an essay, with a subject, theory, structure, and hypothesis. there were some really good vids back in the day that criticised the source text in a political way, especially the way race, gender, sexuality were presented in-canon by recontextualising clips to juxtapositions and cuts and we’ve lost all of that and it FUCKING sucks, it’s really the worst deterioration of critical fandom culture

My latest edit is here! Cruella is wickedly good fun, an absolute guilty pleasure made irresistible by Emma Stone’s comedic talent (Emma Thompson is also great, obviously).
If you enjoy the video, don’t forget to like, share and maybe subscribe!! 😇

I am not a dancer, or an artist, or a hero. I am no longer a daughter or a lover… victim or student or slave. I am, and I will always be… someone’s assassin.

After recently rewatching IT, I decided the movie would be the perfect subject for my first attempt at a fan trailer (I usually make character study/video tribute edits). Surprisingly enough, the film was actually scarier on a rewatch! 🎈

I can’t believe I’m having to say this but...
PLEASE don’t steal work from vidders. Whether it is reuploading a video, or taking clips from their edit and passing the editing off as your own, PLEASE DON’T. It’s so frustrating.

This is a thank you post to every video editor out there
Thank you for listening to that one part of the song for 2 hours just to make sure vid has the right flow.
Thank you for not giving up and continuing on your project even after your software crashed again.
Thank you for putting up with people asking about the song in the comments even tho you’ve already credited it twice.
Thank you for reuploading your vid even after YT deleted it for the 3rd time. Thank you for giving us feels of our beloved ship, movie, anime, manga, cartoon, game.
Thank you for encouraging new people to reach for the title just because your editing inspired them to do so.
Thank you for being a part of the fandom.
You’re amazing ❤
