Long time no see! I'm still busy studying, but I wanted to draw transformers a little differently

My Transformers OC, Riven, has always been a little different from other Cybertronians. She thought and acted in ways totally out of the ordinary—like, she was the type who never followed the usual rules. (She was like a neurodivergent individual among them.) Because of that, other bots saw her as odd and never really connected with her. She was born years before D-16 and Orion Pax, and she worked in a sort of "library" in Iacon. She always had a knack for handling technology and loved building things, but she kept those talents to herself. She also never trusted Sentinel Prime. There was always this gut feeling that something was off about him—a sense of unease she just couldn’t ignore. In the end, she was right—he was exposed as a traitor, and she witnessed his death live on the city screens.

Even after Orion transformed into Optimus Prime and stepped up as leader of the Autobots, Riven's life didn’t really change. Sure, she had the freedom to transform and do whatever she wanted, but she still felt invisible and out of place, like she didn’t belong anywhere. Convinced she wasn’t meant to connect with other bots, she threw herself into building a secret lab, far off the grid and away from Iacon, where she could work on her experiments in peace. But even with all her projects keeping her busy, the loneliness still haunted her—it was like a constant shadow she couldn’t shake.

Her trips to Iacon were strictly for essentials—just grabbing resources and dipping out as quickly as possible. Once in a while, she’d catch glimpses of the clashes between the Autobots and Decepticons, but she always kept her distance. As Cybertron began to crumble and Energon became harder to find, Riven started stockpiling whatever she could to survive. When the planet finally became a lost cause, she climbed aboard an old ship and spent years wandering the galaxy in search of Energon—until one day, she crash-landed on Earth.

Her damaged ship ended up stuck in a mountain, leaving her unconscious for a long time. When she finally woke up, Riven found herself in the middle of a planet teeming with organic life. Not knowing what kind of threat humans might pose, she went into stealth mode, disguising herself as a sleek purple Lamborghini, keeping hidden while studying human behavior. Over time, she formed an unlikely bond with a young troublemaker named Jonan—an alliance nobody could have predicted.

man, i am loving how much effort y'all are putting into your ocs! makes me feel like less of a weirdo for hyperfixating on comettrail and vega as much as i have lmao

this makes me wonder if riven necessarily had an allegiance or considered herself an outsider to the war. i mean it makes sense how those present in iacon for megatron and optimus' first fight would quickly pick sides, but what about the rest of cybertron? it's a question i wanna see the movies answer, if we get more movies
