"Meet me at midnight."
A random note, with an unhurried handwriting, appearing on the wall, out of nowhere.
The gesture could easily perplex someone.
It was a rare occurrence, but out of all the people, you should've known better. You should've guessed sooner. Remus Lupin always had a thing for quite unexpected events, especially when his actions left you speechless and in a surprised daze afterwards.
And now Remus had decided it was a brilliant idea to sneak a tiny paper into your room at number twelve Grimmauld Place, days after his disappearance. His plan was successful. Because despite the fact that you felt a wave of relief washing over you now that you knew he was alright, his short, unnoticed visit still robbed you of speech. There was no trace of him around the place and if Hermione hadn't dragged you downstairs, you'd probably have a chance to see him.
The long waiting was frustrating.
Speaking of Black's ancestral house, the sound of chattering and laughing was still loud in the air, reaching the high walls of the decrepit place. Days had passed since the downfall of darkest wizard of all time and the grimy atmosphere of Sirius Black's home was replaced with luminous parties that seemed to be in full swing all the time. From your arrival day until now, you had never seen Order's members this joyous and full of life. Back then, every moment was filled with constant alternation between worry, fear and death. But now it was all over and no whiff of darkness could invade the cheerfulness of your surroundings. Guests from all around the wizarding society would pay a visit everyday and some occasionally stayed longer to help clear the wreckage left from that murderous war. Ministry of magic mostly took care of bringing captured Death Eaters to trials and tracking the missing ones. Some other members, including you, tended to wipe any trail of destruction from Muggle places and erase their memories at the same time.
Bridges, buildings, stores. Death eaters hadn't left anything untouched on their way to Hogwarts. By now the castle was properly repaired and no sign of damage was left on its grounds, but the world of Muggles needed more work to be done. Though it was a long process, the distraction helped to slightly soothe your longing for Remus.
Inside the Grimmauld Place, you were surrounded with happiness. Fred and George were obviously the life of the party, playing pranks here and there and selling their creative products to the visitors. Sirius would crack a joke every once in a while and he never ceased to bring the whole family to hearty gales of laughter. Dobby and Kreacher were determined to serve cocktails, pastries and chocolates to everyone that stopped by the house of Blacks. It was heartwarming to see that everyone you cared for, was alive and there was no empty seat or heartbreaking sight. The Weasleys, Sirius, Hermione, Harry Potter and many more. Some of them had injuries, but they would heal. The past would eventually heal.
You were supposed to feel this happiness with every fiber of your being.
And yet in the back of your mind, it was hard to be joyful without his presence in the room. As far as you could remember, Remus Lupin was by your side through the lowest and scariest stages of war and it was unfair to celebrate the victory without him. There was this empty seat right in front of you at the dining table and each day a heavy lump tugged at your throat, because he hadn't returned yet. That spot belonged to him.
What on Earth was he doing away? Did it need to be now?
Though it saddened your twisted heart, you knew there was a reason behind his actions. So you decided to wait.
But as the days passed, your attention was drawn to the fact that Remus hadn't informed a single soul of his whereabouts. Still, everyone looked undisturbed by his absence. Your questions were left unanswered and you were getting worried that maybe something bad had happened to him. Despite your constant impatience, other members seemed totally unperturbed by Remus's disappearance. They just had some "Don't worry your mind, Y/N." to offer as a response. It was strange, as if they knew what Remus was up to. But since none of them was willing to let on any information about him, you didn't push it any further.
Maybe he didn't want you to know.
Or, maybe he didn't want you.
The thought crossed your mind in the middle of a particularly heated argument in the living room - which you didn't want to attend. Hermione had suddenly decided it was a good idea to keep you busy and away from the secluded atmosphere of your room, just for you to ignore the hustle and bustle and find your way back up the wooden stairs a few minutes later.
Just as the door clicked shut behind you, the unexpected touch of cool breeze on your cheeks brought a soft smile to your face. You didn't remember if the window was opened last time you were in the room, but nonetheless you watched as the gentle wind unhurriedly drifted through the curtains and vanished into your hair, spreading its cool and fresh air all around.
That was when a faint movement out of the corner of your eyes, caught your curious attention. It was right there, stuck on the wall below the ticking clock. The surface of a small purple note was swaying gently in the wind, waiting to be noticed by you. Even from across the room, you could pinpoint whose handwriting was written on it.
Your breathing hitched.
Just a few minutes ago, he was here.
But you weren't.
You quickly cast a look around the room and your gaze remained on the packed bags by the bedside table for a second longer before you reached for the tiny paper. Everything else was left totally untouched, meaning that his visit was fairly short with the sole purpose of leaving a sign and guiding you back to him. The same day you had decided to leave. Tears threatened to brim over and fall on your cheeks, but you blinked them away and traced your thumb several times over the cursive words, not trusting your blurry vision. The words were written in magical ink, giving off a celestial, multi-coloured glow that flowed freely and changed its appearance every few seconds.
It was like midnight sky.
Enchanted to fit inside the small space of a purplish paper.
It took you seconds of confusion to actually read those four words and realize what he meant by them. Midnight wasn't a specific moment in time. It couldn't be found on any clock. It was a secret rendezvous. Somewhere only the two of you knew.
So with a heart thudding fast and hands getting cold in anticipation, you strode towards the trunk and knelt down to carefully pull out the three books you'd tucked away beneath your clothes.
You knew where you needed to go.

Knowing that Grimmauld Place was bustling with activity and guests were coming and going as usual, it wasn't a hard task to sneak out of the building without being noticed.
Without looking back, you quickly descended the stone staircase and trusted your knees to not give in before seeing Remus. It was only a short walk away and nervousness had already taken over your whole being.
The sun was setting low and blasts of cold air were coming around faster than what you last felt in the bedroom, but the cold shivers could do nothing to stop you.
You had your fingers brushing against the inviting note which was folded safely inside your pocket. The warmth it radiated was of a promise for your impatient heart.
Minutes later, the familiar cobbled street came into the view and your gaze simply wandered around each building. A content smile formed on your lips at how normal everything seemed to be. Just a few days ago, you were one of the many volunteers who had witnessed the ruins of this particular side of a Muggle town and played a part in fixing it.
Especially that one book shop, standing out from the rest at the far end of the street.
Midnight
With shaky hands, you reached for the door handle and the friction suddenly brought you to a halt, old memories flooding back to your mind like a restless ocean...
Spring, the season of blooming and revival, had never been as gloomy and atrocious as it was now. Bad news flied around the town and spread like wildfire, faster than anyone who beared it. Death Eaters were invading and shattering wherever and whatever they saw fit. There was nowhere to safely hide and stay away from that growing darkness, but people were too scared to stand still and watch it consume them. Your eyes stung from how haunting their crestfallen expression was.
Remus had your hand firmly in his, dashing across the pavement towards what seemed to be a shop. Just after he pulled you inside and set to walk straight down the deserted area, your realized that it was filled with books.
It was no wonder.
No one in their wildest dreams could ever think of purchasing or burrowing books right now. But neither of you questioned the destination. It seemed like the place to be in that very moment, in the middle of a mission.
Torn pieces of paper were lying on the floor. Some of the shelves were broken and there were numerous holes on the walls. Your brows involuntarily knitted into a frown.
Just as Remus reached the far end of the shop, your steps halted and a soft touch of thumb on your cheek brought your back to reality. You were startled for a moment, not having realized you were on the verge of crying until Remus brushed one fallen tear away.
His hand remained there, more gentle than ever. As you leaned back against a shelf and looked up into his stormy eyes, for a brief moment, the sorrowful world faded into nothing. No voice could be heard from the outside. Only matching heartbeats and tangled souls. A hazy, colourful feeling had begun to flourish inside you, but it was vague and new. By the wide-eyed expression on his face, you knew he had felt it too.
The same man whose whole being you adored and cherished from distance, was your soulmate.
You blinked once, twice. Then the haze was gone. A simple indicator that now wasn't the right time to let this happen. What an inconvenient and cruel world.
To find your soulmate in the midst of approaching devastation.
War and its inevitable aftermath, his own werewolf condition, wrongful judgements. All of them had aimed to dam your chances of being together. Your inner bond couldn't form fully and bloom in all the cruelty and uncertainty that lay around it. You had to wait.
Remus knew it too.
"Y/N, my dearest," his own voice was cracking as he cupped your face in his warm hands. He paused and swallowed heavily. The disbelief hadn't left him either. "Now more than I could ever imagine, this heart of mine is yearning to be close to you. I want to leave it all behind and run away to wherever you lead. But I don't wish to lose you by breaking the rules. This magic between us, we'll work it out, okay?"
You knew how severe the consequences would be if soulmate rules weren't taken seriously.
But it still hurt.
Death Eaters were closing in. The sound of walls crashing and spells being shoot in various directions could be heard from nearby. Anger was raging through your veins, streaming down in the form of hot tears. The mere thought of not seeing Remus again was killing you and all you want to do was clutch onto him and never let go.
A lovely whisper, a sweet kiss, a comforting hug.
You wanted to try, but your lips were sealed, your feet unmoving, locked firmly on the spot. He always rendered you speechless. All you could muster was a slow nod.
"I... Remus, I lov- Merlin, I wanted to say that I-" you tried, but the four-letter word was forbidden to your mouth. The frustration set in and Remus was quick catch on your struggle and grant your wish by pulling you into a tight hug.
"I do understand, Remus. We'll work it out."
It was too quiet of a response to your own ears. You had no idea if he had heard it at all, because all your senses were focused on the rhythmic beating of his heart.
But Remus had a knowing smile on his perfectly scarred face.
"Sweetheart, never forget whatever you've dreamed of for our future. I'll be by your side until each of them becomes a reality. That day, I'd be damned if I give damn what anyone has to say."
He whispered and you sobbed silently into his chest.
Everything about this man had come from dreams.
No words were shared, but you promised to hold on to those dreams and never let go. Calmness took over you for a short moment, but it soon faded away as someone harshly burst through the door.
Both your wands were drawn out in an instant.
There was no time to lose.
"No matter what awaits us in this path, I have a hazy feeling that you'll always be my one and only. I'd do anything to stay in that haze forever."
You let the words get out of your chest in an urgent whisper. There was much more to say. You just had to wait.
"And... I will see you again, right?"
Remus nodded silently, taking your free hand in his and placing a lingering kiss on your knuckles. His eyes were full of certainty. You couldn't doubt his promises. Something about him was assuring you that this wasn't going to be the last time you'd be here.
"I guess," he glanced around at the ruins. You knew the scene deeply hurt him. Reading books was his favorite hobby. "Midnight will be our rendezvous then."
His smile was more certain. You couldn't help returning it.
He summoned three of his favorite books from different directions and they headed towards you all at once. "Read them while I'm away."
You had actually pored over each of those books several times, finding yourself attached to everything that reminded you of Remus in your lonely nights.
The atmosphere of the shop was warm and welcoming.
It was nothing like your last experience. The walls were decorated pleasantly and rows of books were neatly stacked on the shelves. Even a number of Muggles had come by to pay a visit. It wasn't deserted and cheerless anymore.
With a content sigh, you wandered around different sections and put two of the books back on their exact place. The last one belonged to the far end of the shop. There was no sign of Remus yet, so you set to walk a little more, having no doubt where you were headed.
The highest shelf, really?
Casting a quick look around, you decided to reach for your wand and levitate the book up to its place, but a defeated huff slipped your mouth as you realized you'd left it back in the bedroom on your rush.
You stood on your tiptoes again, trying your chance one more time, but the book nearly slipped out of your reach before a large, deft hand grabbed it and effortlessly places it on the wooden rack.
Tall and breathtaking.
You sensed his presence before seeing him.
Sandalwood and forest.
You were engulfed in his scent before seeing him.
"I had to help you with that one."
You heard his voice.
Before even seeing him.
Slowly turning around, your heartbeat raced up in anticipation and then for a second, it skipped a beat as you took in his broad smile. Once again the world had decided to halt its movement and put a silencing charm on any outer sound. There remained only your matching heartbeats and tangled souls.
You were falling in love all over again.
Remus didn't hide his astonishment either. You knew how he felt in was all so unbelievably beautiful. He was beautiful. Remus mouthed a silent "My dearest" and softly caressed your reddened cheek with the back of his free hand. The other one had remained braced above your head on the shelf.
Tears were willing to appear again, but nonetheless you grinned from ear to ear.
"You remembered our rendezvous."
The familiar haze was creeping up around you again and his intense gaze wasn't helping your wobbly knees at all. You swallowed and looked down at the neckline of his woolen jumper. Only for a brief moment. But Remus wasn't having it. He slid two fingers beneath your chin and tilted your head enough to draw your attention back to him. His touch was like flame on your skin.
"I never planned on forgetting it."
A single tear drop was wiped from your face before he pointed at the floor.
"We stood right here exactly three years ago. Y/N, you've got me enamored with you all this time."
His voice was like honey as he called your name.
But despite the fierce blush that spread over your neck and behind your ears, your nod was absent-minded. A cold tug inside your chest made you clutch onto his robes. The past and its memories were still haunting. You couldn't bear the thought of facing them ever again.
"I've missed you terribly, Remus. We finally worked it out, right? Tell me nothing's gonna stop this anymore. I need to hear it."
He patiently moved your arms to wrap around his neck and leaned forward, his hand on your waist pulling you impossibly closer to him. His certain eyes were on your lips. Your breathing hitched.
"I'd rather show it."
"Here?" You asked in a low voice, actually not even wanting him to stop even if the shop was bustling with crowds.
"Y/N, love. Today is the day I won't give a damn what people say."
He closed the remaining gap and met your lips in a reassuring kiss. His lips were softer than you'd ever imagined. His thumb drew circles on your back and you nearly melted into his touch. Apparently, soulmates in the wizarding world could experience the phenomenal appearance of their bond in reality. It was either in shapes, sounds or even colours. You hadn't believed it until now.
Because even with your eyes closed, you could somehow guess what colour the kiss was.
It was like midnight.
And nothing had stopped the sweet reverie this time. You nearly began to cry.
But Remus gave your side a light squeeze, easily taking your mind off that thought. Your fingers came up to trace over his beautifully scarred face and a content sigh escaped him. Barely audible, but you noticed and a smile bloomed at the corner your mouth. With both hands tied securely around you, his tongue swiped over your bottom lip and your head tilted backwards, easily allowing him to deepen the kiss.
The feeling was only intensified as a sweet, floral scent wafted through the air. If Remus wasn't holding you, you'd definitely fallen over by now.
How was it that he knew everything?
It had taken you years to feel this moment and neither of you was willing to let go or see where the scent was coming from. But you needed air. You pulled back to catch your breath and that was when colourful shapes came across your line of vision.
You looked around and gasped at the galactic sight. The shop was barely recognizable.
It had turned into a flower field.
Thousands of lavenders were scattered across the floor, swinging in the invisible wind like an undulating purple sea. Even the numerous books were replaced by flowers. The scenery was exceptionally tranquil and beautiful.
A bluish purple haze was hanging above the field, slowly creeping its way around the place and engulfing you in its pure charm.
Suddenly, you were reminded of those hazy feelings both of you had talked about. They never had a colour before. They never had a shape. It wasn't a full love before.
You hadn't broken the rules. You had waited. And this was your final reward.
It was mesmerizing. You found it dizzying.
Before you got the chance to ask if Remus could also see any of the lavenders or the violet smoke, he knelt down and picked one of them, gently tucking it in your hair. All of that was real.
Minutes later, you were being dragged out of the shop.
You glanced down at your intertwined hands and bit your lip in excitement. Remus John Lupin took great pleasure in surprising you with unexpected events, even if it meant you had to sneak past all the enchanting magic that was surrounding you.
"Where are we going?"
He raised a playful brow and chuckled, looking at you over his shoulder. "Sweetheart, I hope you haven't forgotten your dreams."
That hearty chuckle of him turned into a delighted laugh and you thought it was the most heartwarming sound you'd ever heard.
You felt truly happy.
***
Later that night, when Remus took you to his little cottage in the middle of the woods, it dawned on you why he was absent all those days. He'd tended to decorate the place with his own hands, no use of magic. And somehow, it was more magical than any other scenery you'd ever seen.
It was all surreal.
In the middle of the night, as you lay awake and stared at the ceiling together, the purplish haze was still shimmering in the air. Down below, flowers were blooming in every direction. Up above, supernovas were exploding and pouring their glittery sparkles down on you. The bed felt like a fluffy blanket of cloud drifting across the starry sky. You blinked once, twice. Nothing faded.
It was magical. There was no other way to put it.
But to you, he was the real magic. The blue shade of his eyes was sparkling with every dream you'd ever thought of. Everytime you looked into them, your heart swelled with happiness. Because you knew your biggest wish was granted. A soft brush of your fingertips against his chest and over his hand, could reveal the galaxies buried deep within. A canopy of twinkling stars hovered above you and yet there was nothing more magical that him.
Lots of "I love you"s were expressed in different forms and ways. Lots of stories were shared. Lots of secrets were revealed.
And yet... There was a lot more to come.
Lovely whispers, sweet kisses, comforting hugs.
You had forever to do all of them.
"We will stay in that lavender haze, forever."
Remus whispered into your ear and locked you in his warm embrace. You knew he meant it. This love was meant to surround both of you in its eternal glow.
You'd finally met each other, at midnight. The place of wonders.

Older Remus Lupin | Smut (sub! Remus) | One part
Words: 4.5 k 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭
Summary: After a hard week of teaching at Hogwarts, Remus decides to take y/n out on a date at Hogsmeade and spend some peaceful time with her. Everything is fine until...
"You have no right to lick an ice cream like that..."
𝐈𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦
Finally, it was weekend and the long-awaited date Remus had planned to take you out, had arrived. A lovely and peaceful day for the both of you at Hogsmeade, your favorite place.
Knowing the fact that it was a pretty busy schoolyear and Remus was constantly surrounded by piles of books and exams to mark , and needless to say that he had many classes to teach, you barely had any extra time to spend together these days. So today was a good chance and you didn't want to miss it one bit.
But it seemed like nothing would always go as planned.
Because the moment Remus held your hand in his and led you out of the gates of Hogwarts, a soft drizzling rain began to pour down from the cloudy sky, causing him to groan in disbelief as he caught a glimpse of it.
"No way... Of all the days we could get soaked and washed over, why today?!"
You giggled at how nervous he looked, as if it was your first date together. He was making a big deal out of the weather. Something he wouldn't usually do, because he knew very well how much you loved rainy days. And you had an idea of what caused this feeling in your man. Working non-stop for a long while and having to deal with many responsibilities, had drained him of energy. Now he wanted everything to be perfect for you, and if one part wasn't going according to his plans, he would easily get annoyed and worried.
He needed to unwind. And you surely knew how to help him with it.
"It's fine love. Nothing's gonna ruin our day."
And you really meant it. The rain actually wasn't too much to get you soaked though, just as lovely as it could be for a spring day.
You squeezed Remus's hand reassuringly and looked up at him. He was hesitant for a moment, but the genuine smile that appeared on your bright face, was enough to wipe the frown away from his brows before it could even form there.
His lips curled into a smile too. Intertwining his warm hand with yours and holding it tightly, he resumed walking down the empty road. Feeling relieved that he was finally his cheerful self again, you quickly followed suit.
For most of the road, you talked and laughed with each other. You took notice of every single detail. You watched as drops of rain painted the cobble stone with tiny dark spots. The same drops that fell all over Remus's hair and made you want to run your hand through it.
You watched as flowers at the side road waved in the soft breeze and danced freely. The same breeze found its way to your face and filled you with so much liveliness. Something you didn't know you needed. You were witnessing all of the wonders of springtime while his laugh echoed in the back of your mind. It was your most favorite sound. You took in a deep breath and the earthy and fresh scent of air engulfed you. It was mixed with his perfume, and of course there was a hint of chocolate in it too... Everything around you felt surreal and new to you.
And yet you were familiar with all of that. You had it all, close to yourself. Remus was next to you and his mere presence was enough to add up joyfulness and serenity to the atmosphere, no matter where the destination was.
Before you knew it, the long road was over and you'd arrived at Hogsmeade, which was, to your surprise, bustling with crowds. You looked around at different directions and everywhere your eyes landed, was filled with lively visitors, wizards, witches and even some students too. Some were talking with each other, and some others exiting the magical shops.
There was a distant sound of music drifting in the air and it made the whole scenery more otherworldly and welcoming to you. You giggled at your excitement, as if it was your first time visiting this village.
Hand in hand, you started your adventure from the closest shop and promised yourself to take notice of everything. From the marvelous candies in Honedukes to Zonko's joke products, everything was fine. Remus chanted about the pranks he used to plan with his friends back when he was a student, making you laugh all along.
He seemed to be in good spirits and literally nothing could stop him from talking.
Everything was fine... fine and good... until you went to a shop and came back with two ice creams. Remus slowly grew quiet. It wasn't something important, was it?
Since you were still enthralled by your surroundings, you didn't put much thought into it, but it didn't last for a minute or two. Remus was actually silent for a while. He barely spoke or even replied to your questions. Thinking that he was probably enjoying himself, you chose to not distract him.
Unbeknownst to you, you were the source of his distraction.
You didn't check the matter for the rest of the ride. That was until you stopped by a clothing store and asked his opinion about a dress. No response came from his direction. Noticing his unmoving figure through the glass, your curiosity rised and you turned around to face him.
Your eyes widened at the sight in front of you.
The ice cream he was holding, was long forgotten in his hand. As if he hadn't even tried it yet. It was slowly melting and even dribbling down on his fingers. He seemed to be pondering something in his head, and it was too distracting that it made him totally unaware of the situation.
What was wrong with him? He always liked chocolate in everything.
"Is everything alright, Remus?"
Your concerned voice snapped him out of his thoughts. He looked up with confusion.
"Yeah... yeah dear, why?"
His dumbfounded expression assured you that something was bugging your man. And you needed to know what. Maybe it was the weather again? Or maybe a familiar person had showed up in the village?
What if you had done something wrong? You were clueless.
Finally, you pointed at his hand and as he glanced down, his attempt to hide that surprised expression was hopeless. His mouth formed into an o.
"Oh!"
With a nervous chuckle, he quickly strode towards the other side of the street to apparently throw the ruined ice cream away. But you got a feeling that he was trying to avoid you somehow.
You wasted no time to follow behind him. When you arrived, he was flicking his wand to wipe away the sticky stains from his hand.
"I... I thought chocolate is your favorite flavor. Was it too sweet? Maybe you're thirsty, hm?"
"Thirsty?" He paused for a moment, pulling his robes closer and trying to sound unbothered. Even as casual as possible. His gaze lingered between you and your hand. "I- No, no. Just please finish that quickly, y/n."
Well, to be more precise, between your mouth and the ice cream.
It all became apparent to you. Was he... actually jealous of an ice cream?
Apparently so. He didn't say it out loud, but there was one thought in his mind. You should be licking, sucking and moving your tongue over something else.
Suddenly a mischievous idea crossed your mind. With a sly grin spreading across your face, you began to take a few steps towards him, backing him against the nearest wall in a narrow lane.
It was away from the mass of people around you, so nothing could bother or stop you.
Making sure that his gaze was still fixed on you, you brought the ice cream to your mouth and licked it up, taking your sweet time to swirl your tounge around its top, repeating it one more time.
Like an innocent girl.
Tumblr media
And all while he was watching intently. He was getting riled up and you liked to see it. This was your chance to help him unwind.
"And if I don't?" You spoke up in a low voice.
He gulped, his brows furrowing. "You better do it. And... don't give me those innocent looks. I could practically devour you right here."
A warm blush crept up your cheeks at his blatant remark. It was just the beginning and yet you could tell that your body was on fire. You obviously didn't expect him to play this game, but you weren't going to turn down the challenge.
Inching closer, you closed the remaining gap between your bodies and nearly pressed yourself against him. His face was mere inches away from you as his exhales fanned over your neck, sending goosebumps down your skin.
"Why don't you do it then, Professor?"
He drew in a sharp breath at the mention of that term, already losing his patience. "Fucking hell. Don't... Try... Me."
The rise and fall of his chest was quicker than before. You could feel the impatient beating of his heart from this close. He wanted you and only a little push was enough to make it happen.
"But you know what? I'm not interested in this anymore." You pulled back for a split second to throw that ice cream in the nearest trash can, then focused your attention back on him. Your hand slowly traveled down to rest on his groin, where you know he would have a hard on. Your words had him trembling slightly. "I'd rather get on my knees and try you instead. And then-"
Before you could finish, he snatched your hand and broke the eye contact. His eyes searched around, seeming to contemplate different options. Going back to Hogwarts wasn't a good idea, because he needed you right now. So he opted for the nearest place possible.
The Three Broomsticks.
Seconds later you were passing the huge crowd of visitors that were gathered in the pub. Apparently, there was a party going on and the Weird Sisters band were booked to perform there. As soon as you entered the pub, you figured that was the source of music you'd heard earlier.
But none of that mattered now as Remus held your wrist tightly and rushed up the central stairs, all while muttering curses and ruffling his hair. (A sign of him being on edge.) And it was all because of you. You were getting far too excited and aroused for your own good. Hopefully everyone at the place was occupied enough to not recognize you either, or else they'd question your sanity.
After reaching the upstairs, he went for the nearest room and to your luck, it was empty.
As soon as the door was slammed shut and locked, his lips were on yours in a passionate kiss, the sudden force pushing you against the wall. You wrapped one hand around his neck to pull him even closer while your other hand roamed all over his chest, trying desperately to get rid of all those unnecessary clothes, so you could feel him up more properly. You felt dizzy and light-headed over the heat that was already radiating off him.
Remus cupped your cheeks to deepen the kiss. The kiss wasn't anything soft and tender, instead it was rough and needy. Your teeth grazed over his bottom lip, eliciting a delicious moan from the man. Your tongues collided with each other in a warm battle and unlike usual, he didn't fight to prove his dominance over you.
That had you stunned for a moment.
When you eventually had to pull back for air, you caught a glimpse of his lust-filled eyes. Then a thought crossed your mind.
And so, it wouldn't take much for him to let you take the lead. You bit your lip at the prospect of that happening.
"You have no right to lick an ice cream like that..." He sighed into your mouth and your heart skipped a beat. His raspy voice, his disheveled hair and rapid breathing, even the chocolatey scent of his perfume which was mixed with the smell of sex and it all had you trembling with need.
A newfound source of passion surged through you. Smacking your lips to his in another make out session, you wasted no time in taking off his robes along with his brownish coat and cardigan. He effortlessly pushed up your blouse and pulled it off in a swift motion as you navigated your way across the small room and led him towards the bed.
You nearly tripped and stumbled along the way, but soon you arrived and he fell backwards onto the bed.
Seconds later you were on your knees in front of him, working your way up his legs to unbuckle his belt. Though you felt a little cold with the rush of air on your skin since you were covered with nearly nothing, it soon was replaced with a blazing desire as you were reminded of your determination to make him feel good.
"Let me make it up to you then, daddy." You mumbled in a low tone, causing him to shiver.
At last, you pulled down his pants and confines, finally reaching for his hard erection. He wordlessly watched as you wrapped your delicate hand around it and stroked him a few times. You swiped your thumb over his tip to spread the precum and then leaned down to place a soft kiss on it before swirling your tongue around his shaft in slow motions. Just like how you'd teased him with the ice cream.
This earned a groan of pleasure from Remus and his breathing quickened, a bunch of barely audible curses and praises leaving his mouth. He was getting more needy by each passing second.
Unfortunately for him, your plan was to tease him much more.
He lazily licked his lips and watched as you stuck your tongue out and traced the underside of his cock, not stopping for a bit as your suckled your way up to the tip and wrapped your mouth around him to repeat the licking and twirling again. Then you lowered your head and sucked him halfway in, stroking the rest that fit perfectly in your hand. You moaned around his length as another delicious sound escaped his throat.
"Such a... good... girl... taking me... so well, ah-"
You maintained the eye contact and began to bob your head up and down in a devilishly slow pace, interrupting his praises.
His gaze instantly turned darker and more intense. He was trying so hard to keep his composure and not buck his hips up or pull at your hair to take him deeper in your mouth. He liked how you teased him.
And you knew if you kept the pace properly, he'd lose his mind. He was already gritting his teeth to avoid that from happening so soon.
Remus was too stunned and worked up to say anything else. All he could do was to lean back and let you take the lead, as you knew he would. The room was filled with the delicious sounds he was making and it turned you on even more.
Your mouth was so warm, so wet, so eager..
Much to his dismay, you stopped and pulled your head up for a moment to gain your breath, still gripping him in your hand. He looked flustered and even a bit disappointed when the sweet stimulation was gone.
But he knew better than to complain.
"You like it when I suck you like this, hm?" You asked, a faint smirk flickering at the corner of your mouth.
"Ye- yes baby, so good."
He nodded hastily, head thrown back as he panted. You hummed in agreement and resumed the languid strokes over his cock.
"FUCK!" He swore loudly and his head snapped up as you suddenly took him in all the way and your nose nearly came in touch with his pubic hair. Your fingers began to touch and stroke his balls in a gentle motion and he saw stars behind his blurry vision. His entire shaft and tip vibrated in your mouth.
And between all of that, you felt more arousal pooling between your legs. You bucked your hips involuntarily in the air, desperate for some friction. Your free hand flew down to rub at your heat and provide some relief for you.
But Remus noticed that.
"No, don't do that... baby. Let me make you feel good. That's... mine... to touch-" He managed to utter the words breathlessly and it caught your attention.
"Oh?" You pulled back this time and got up from your knees. Your lips were darker and swolen.
He nodded quickly, his lustful gaze following your every movement as you took your time to pull at your panties and slide them down your legs, tossing the soaked material somewhere behind you. Then you climbed over the bed and rested a hand on his chest, pushing him down to lay on the soft mattress as you straddled his lap.
"But I don't think you're allowed to touch anything, Professor."
He raised a brow, confused at what you just said. You leaned down and captured his lips in a tender kiss before gripping his wrists and pinning his hands over his head.
To his surprise, a silk tie appeared out of nowhere, wrapping itself around his wrists and tying them to the headboard.
You secretly thanked your ability at using wandless magic. The tie wasn't too tight though, and he was strong enough to easily get rid of it.
But anyways, he definitely didn't expect that.
"You're such a fucking tease..." He grumbled, earning a develish chuckle from you.
"I know. And you like it."
With a wink, you began to slowly grind down on him, spreading your wetness all over his erection. It was literally a torture for him and by his expression you could tell that he wanted to fuck your brains out. You were giving him a taste of his own teasing and it felt.. naughty and satisfying.
Usually, he would be the one in charge. Remus was far too dominant for his own good. So this side of him was enticing and new to you. This was your turn and your chance to help him forget about the exhausting events of the week.
He didn't seem to mind it at all. On the contrary, he quite liked it when you controlled everything now and then.
And seeing him like this under you, never ceased to make you shiver and stir something deep inside you.
"y/n, let me fucking touch you, you witch."
His impatient comment interrupted your thoughts.
You stopped momentarily and leaned back, looking all too smug. "I can stop if you want."
"Fuck, no. Don't stop, please... please..." He quickly objected in a pleading tone.
"So tell me what do you want to do with me, Remus?"
You continued the grinding and bent down to place open-mouthed kisses all over his chest, nipping at some of his old scars.
"Baby, uh- I wish my hands were through your hair, pulling at it and making groan with pleasure as I touch you. I want my face between those pretty legs of yours as I eat you out and make you scream until you forget your name, begging to feel my mouth over your your sweet pussy again and again."
He revealed his fantasies so blatantly and you moaned at his sexy, deep voice.
Your hand went down between your legs to gather some of your wetness. You then brought it up to his mouth, and he began to delicately lick your fingers while staring directly into your eyes. You were melting and he wasn't helping your sanity at all. Next words came out more shaky than you actually intended.
"Wanna taste it more?"
The man nodded vigorously, his eyes droopy with need. You knew as a werewolf, he always craved your scent and taste.
"Yes darling. Come here and ride my face like a good girl. Let me have a taste.."
With trembling knees, you pulled yourself up and climbed over to place your legs on either side of his head. His warm breath was already fanning over your heat and by the greedy look on his face, you knew it wouldn't take long for you to come undone.
You slowly lowered yourself onto his mouth and your breathing hitched when he wasted no time in burying his tongue between your folds, licking and lapping like a starved man. A cry of pleasure escaped you as he sucked at the sensitive bud of your clit and hummed at the delicious sounds you were making, sending a shiver down your spine.
He swirled and twirled his tongue again and again, the wet sounds of his mouth driving you crazy. Your heart was racing madly in your chest.
"Hmm, fuck... you're doing so good..." You uttered out and tangled your hand in his hair (which was slightly damp from the earlier rain), the sensation quickly taking over your whole being.
Your legs began to shake, signaling that you were close. He stopped abruptly, sticking his tongue out for you to ride his face however you wanted. You briefly glanced down at him and then braced your palms on his chest, rocking your hips back and forth over the warmth of his tongue. The coil in your belly began to tighten, waves of electricity erupting in you.
"Oh fuck, I... I-"
Your legs shook violently and squeezed at his head as you finally reached your high and came all over his face. A feeling of euphoria engulfed you as you threw your head back and gasped out in pleasure. It was otherworldly.
He hungrily lapped at your juices and gave your swollen clit some kitten licks as you rode out your rather intense orgasm and caught your breath.
"Such a sweet girl, cumming all over my face."
Remus ran his tongue round his lips and chanted in a triumphant voice as you shifted to your previous position to straddle his lap, legs still weak and wobbly.
Your head was empty. No words could form a coherent sentence for you. When you looked down, his mouth was glistening with your arousal. Blood rushed to your cheeks at that seductive sight. You couldn't wait any longer.
And you didn't want him to wait either.
So without a word, you bent over and your mouth collided with his, kissing him deeply and tasting yourself at the same time. You ever-so-slowly guided his waiting erection to your entrance and sank down until he was buried deep inside you, both of you yelping and moaning at the same time.
You offered Remus a soft smile, maintain the eye contact as you got used to the stretching and began to move slowly. You drew yourself almost all the way out before sinking in again.
"Fuck yes baby... always so tight for me. I like it."
His intense gaze fell to where your bodies collided together. The way his length was appearing and disappearing in you, had him astonished and out of breath again. You were so ravishing.
Though you were still amazed at how obedient he was at not ripping off the restraints from his wrists, you decided to reward him by picking up the pace. So you rested your palms on his chest and kept on rotating and rocking your hips up and down, lewd and needy moans blessing both your ears all while.
"You're... so... big." You sobbed out and he was quick to respond.
"Yeah? Then use me and ride me however you want, baby."
He was in awe of your beauty. You were flustered, panting and so unbelievably hot as he watched. You were in control of everythingand it had him feeling dizzy and drunk. He needed to touch you and he could easily tear off that stupid tie, but he wanted you to allow him.
It was a torture having you all breathtaking and stunning close to him and not being able to give you the extra pleasure as you deserved, even though he knew how much you liked his hands.
Your worked on taking off your bra and your tits bounced with each thrust. You squeezed them with your delicate hand and that was his undoing. The man couldn't take it any longer.
"y/n, untie me please. Let me touch you." Remus begged in a gentle whisper, melting your heart.
You lazily bent over and released the tie from around his wrists. He instantly sat upright with you still straddling his lap. The new position pushed him even deeper inside you and it was insanely mouthwatering.
He felt so good.
His hands roamed all over your curves and cupped your breasts in his large hands, as if he hadn't touched you for years. You gasped ou and a new wave of electricity rushed through you.
Your mouth fell open, you were close to another high and it was more intense than before. One of his hands held your waist tightly to help you keep your balance, and he trailed his lips down the sensitive spots on your neck. Going down until he captured a hardened nipple between his lips.
You arched your back and felt the twitching of his length in you. Your walls clenched around him and he groaned, burying his face in the crook of your neck.
"I'm not gonna last much longer, baby.."
"Yes, yes... cum for me daddy."
With that, he bucked his hips up one last time and you both came undone at the same time, warm spurts of cum shot inside you and your whole body shook as Remus tightened his arms around you. He was panting breathlessly and his heartbeat was rapid and racing.
All because of you.
Minutes passed and you stayed in that position, coming down from your highs. You wrapped your arms around him and held onto him. He left gentle kisses on your skin and whispered sweet nothings into your ear. Hopefully the music that came from downstairs was still loud enough to conceal all the sinful sounds you've been making until now.
"You did so good for me, you know darling? I simply love it when you're in control."
He praised and stroked your hair. You chuckled at how it all had started.
"Who knew a simple ice cream could lead to this?"
"That was actually... freaking hot. Now you realize that you're always welcome to have a seat on my face." You blushed at his words. Suddenly there was a knocking on the window and you turned to see what it was. Remus continued with a knowing smile. "But... you know what?"
He flicked his fingers and the window opened. You figured it was another ice cream as it flew and landed on his hand.
Chocolate ice cream.
But how?
You gave him a questioning and puzzled look. He only smirked devilishly and pushed you down on the mattress.
"I'm not done with you yet."

Older Remus Lupin| Smut| One part
Words: 3.8k
Summary: On a snowy and lazy morning, Y/N wakes up to prepare some pancakes for breakfast while Remus is still asleep. Later on, he wakes up and innocently suggests to help.
But... playing with Y/N while she's covered in whipped cream sounds more interesting to him...
𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦
Humming contentedly at the feeling of Remus's heartbeat against your skin, you slowly opened your eyes to meet the powdery flakes of snow that were falling freely outside the window.
His warm breath was right on your neck as you imagined how cold it seemed to be outside by now. Even imagining the contrast made your whole body shiver.
You stayed like that for a few more minutes, silently watching the blazing fire that was crackling in the fireplace and breaking the comfortable silence of the room. Drops of melted snow were running down the fogged up glass of window as your gaze fell to the floor near your bed, smirking as you spotted clothes that were messily tossed here and there.
It reminded you of last night's fun activities with Remus and your cheeks heated up instantly, making you already needy for his touch and the feeling of his hands all over your body.
Those lovely praises, dirty words and breathless whispers you would hear with his raspy voice whenever he made love to you, made you tingle. You needed all of that over and over again.
"Remus, You're not listening to me, are you?"
"Um, well... I'm trying to focus on what you're saying, but..." He looked you up a down, licking his lips as he leaned over to whisper into your ear. "All I can think about is how badly I want to see you naked."
He gently nibbled on your earlobe before pushing you down on the bed, making you shudder in anticipation...
But right now he needed some more sleep. Endless work had taken a toll on him. You sighed and pushed the duvet aside, carefully getting out of his strong arm that was wrapped around your waist. If it wasn't for what you had planned for the morning, you would stay like this for hours.
Retrieving your wand from the nightstand, you gathered all the clothes from the floor and walked to the door as quietly as you possibly could in order not to wake Remus up. Standing at the doorframe for a moment, you admired his peaceful face that was covered with strands of light brown hair and made your way to the other room to take a quick shower.
☾☾♡♡☾☾
After sbout 15 minutes of showering and thinking, you finally decided to choose chocolate pancakes for breakfast. He liked chocolate in everything. EVERYTHING. You chuckled and used a drying spell instead of towels to dry yourself.
Putting on a pair of cream-colored shorts along with a woolen crop top, you tiptoed your way downstairs and reached the kitchen.
Kitchen's window was in the same state like the bedroom, but you had a wider view from outside as you approached it. Snow was falling heavier than before and the whole ground was covered with a white blanket of snowflakes. You would definitely convince Remus to take you out after breakfast. He was an excellent competitor when it came to snow ball fights.
"I won't want you to get cold, baby. Let's get back home." He stood in a corner, motioning for you to join him.
"Come on, Remmy," You rolled your eyes and threw a rather large ball of snow towards him (which he dodged successfully) before starting to run away as fast as you could. "Catch me if you can."
He finally gave up, chasing after you as he shouted with a laugh. "You asked for it, naughty girl."...
You prepared a cup of hot chocolate for yourself and set on working, swaying around and occasionally taking a sip from your cup.
Minutes passed in silence and you begun to hum your favorite song while you chopped the strawberries into small pieces, leaving some of them untouched. Then you Accioed all the ingredients from different cabinets and prepared some whipped cream in a bowl.
You were about to turn around and put the bowl in the fridge when you spotted Remus standing at the doorframe with a sleepy smile, making you wonder when he woke up and how long he'd been there.
Thanks to him for teaching you useful parts of wandless magic, you left the bowl of cream and strawberries floating in midair and motioned your fingers for them to reach the fridge by themselves as you made your way towards him.
You wrapped your arms around his neck and stood on tiptoe, greeting him with a soft morning kiss. He rested his hands on your hips, smiling delightfully when you pulled back.
"Morning, Love."
"Good morning, Handsome." You whispered sweetly, reaching up to ruffle his silky hair a bit. It was slightly damp from the shower he probably had before coming downstairs. You could smell his familiar aftershave too.
But something seemed off a bit.
He seemed still tired from the hard week and it made you concerned. It was weekend after all. He didn't need to wake up so soon. "It's still early. You could sleep for one extra hour." You sighed, softly caressing his cheek which was covered with a small scar.
Remus shook his head, giving your hips a gentle squeeze that pulled you closer to him. "Nah. The bed felt cold. It's warmer here with you."
Your cheeks felt warm. How could he be so adorable at any time of the day? It was an unanswerable question.
He then captured your lips in a more passionate kiss while one of his hands reached up to run into your hair. His tongue trailed over your bottom lip, causing you to moan into his mouth. However, things had to be stopped before both of you ended up in your bedroom again.
Blushing a light shade of red, you pulled back and turned to pour him a cup of hot chocolate as well. "Breakfast will be ready soon. I guess some hot chocolate will do it until then. Keeps you busy too."
You said with a wink, only hoping he wouldn't notice your flushed cheeks, but the satisfied grin on his face when you approached him again told you otherwise.
He looked you up and down, holding the steamy cup and taking a sip. "Of course it does."
Cheeky.
There was that familiar glint of mischief in his voice, but you decided to ignore it and focus on other things. He was definitely up to something. That fuckin' hot man. Just one look from him and it would always leave you craving for more.
He eventually tore his gaze away and looked outside the window and watched the heavy snow in silence. You got back to work again, mixing pancake's ingredients in a large bowl together as you tried not to mess up anything under his presence. He had woken up and decided to not let you do what you had to do.
Torture. Pure torture.
Suddenly, his voice echoed in your ears, breaking your train of thoughts.
"Do you need any help, darling?"
Your eyes widened a bit at his offer. Last time he had tried to help you baking a cake, he'd nearly set the whole kitchen on fire. Everywhere you could see was covered with different powders and splashes of jelly and water. Not to mention that somehow you had ended up on the couch together that evening.
However, you decided to cut the last part to stop yourself from blushing even more.
"As much as I like to accept it, last time I remember we spent the whole afternoon cleaning the kitchen when you offered to help." You said with a light chuckle, adding some chocolate powder in the bowl.
"That wasn't my fault. I got distracted." He chuckled, emphasizing the last word to make you remember what he meant by that.
Just when you thought he had finished his cup and was out of the kitchen, he placed his hands on either side of you on the edge of the counter, trapping you between his arms. You got startled for a moment.
"Oh my... Now you are trying to distract me."
"I don't think so." He said in a false serious tone, getting even closer and pressing his chest against your back. You could feel his warm breath on the skin of your neck and it was driving you crazy. He got even closer, pushing you towards the counter. You swallowed hard and tried not to gasp at the feeling of his growing bulge pressed against your butt.
Okay. I believe you.
You nodded in fake understanding and clutched the spoon harder, trying to stir the mixture. He leaned over and started to leave kisses on your bare shoulder, his warm lips like fire on your skin and making you shudder. It was literally impossible to focus on anything else but him.
He was enjoying this. You didn't mind.
One of his hands came up to brush your hair aside and tilt your head as he started to press open mouth kisses on your neck. You heart started hammering in your chest and your breath quickened with each passing second. Then he ran his hands all over your stomach in slow motions, causing you to let out a silent moan and close your eyes momentarily, but you immediately snapped them open when his fingers crept between your legs and grazed over your heat.
"Fu- Remus it's not even 7 in the morning yet."
"Not my fault you're hotter than the hot chocolates you offer me," He said in a low, raspy voice. "Besides, I'm just keeping myself busy. You can go on."
You could sense the mischief in his voice.
You kept your focus -tried to keep your focus- on the bowl. He kept on kissing and his fingers reached between your thighs again. This time he added more pressure to his touch, making you stop with a gasp and drop the spoon.
"Guess you really need some help then, love." Remus chuckled darkly, placing his hand on yours that was pnce again taking a hold of the wooden spoon to guide your movements.
He then placed his hand on yours, moving the spoon clockwise. His other hand held firmly on your hip, making you rock your hips and grind against him in the same movement. The friction already having you wet. Then he pushed forward, "Aha, good girl. Just like that. It's not that hard."
"But... I have a feeling it's rather hard. Isn't it?" You played along, grinding against him again.
He swallowed a groan and let go of the spoon, keeping your hips in place to stop you from teasing him. His hands traveled up to your chest, sending you goosebumps. He sucked a particular hickey on your neck (from last night) and it made you jump with a loud moan.
"Stop teasing me this instant." You whined out, already needy for more.
He shrugged innocently, not stopping one bit. "I have no idea what you're talking about."
His hands slowly slid under your top, kneading on your breasts, causing you to drop the spoon completely and throw your head back on his shoulder. The warmth of his body was insane.
He won.
"Yo- you won't be getting any pancake if you keep doing tha- that."
"Doesn't matter. I can eat you instead." He whispered huskily, letting you enter his mind for a brief moment to see a tiny bit vision of all the things he wanted to do with you.
The images solely made you swallow with excitement. The power this man had over you was insane... and arousing.
"You have a very dirty mind."
"Umm yeah. I have a dirty mind and right now you're running through it naked, so in reality you might as well get rid of this too." Even though you couldn't see him, you were sure of that triumphant smirk on his face as he hooked his fingers on the hem of your top, lifting it off your body in a swift motion.
He tossed it somewhere on the floor and his palms cupped your breasts, massaging them firmly. Then he turned you around and helped you sit up on the counter. Remus Accioed the bowl of whipped cream from the fridge and it came landing next to you on the counter.
He picked a strawberry and dipped it in cream, bringing it to your mouth, he caressed it over your lips. Then, he leaned and licked the cream off your lips with the tip of his tongue, letting you take a bite from the strawberry.
"My mouth wants to do naughty things to you, girl." He mumbled, his lust-filled eyes roaming all over your body. You felt more wetness pooling between your legs.
"I ha- have no idea what you're tal- talking about." You tried to mock but words came out in a shaky voice.
His mouth twitched slightly.
"I'll give you an idea then." With that, he dipped his finger in the bowl and twirled it around. You hissed at the chilly cold sensation when he brought his finger up and smeared the cream on your nipple, doing the same with the other one.
Remus spread some more cream on your chest and down to your stomach. He drew something there that you made out to be a heart. His finger trailed all over your skin until you were covered in white cream.
Oh.
A cry of pleasure escaped you when he lowered his head to suck and nibble on your nipple, cleaning up the cold cream with his warm tongue. The contrast in temperature was crazy.
"Fuck... That feels so good."
He hummed and did the same with your other nipple and gently bit on it, earning another low moan from you. His tongue traveled all over your skin and he left sloppy kisses and bite marks on your body, eating all the creams along the way too.
He pulled back after a few minutes, admiring his work as you panted breathlessly. You got more excited when he easily took off your shorts and made you push your legs up, so that your feet were resting on the counter, giving him a good view of your soaked pussy.
Naughty naughty girl...
"No bra and now no panties? You were hoping I'd play with you, didn't you?" He taunted, his fingers running on your thighs. He stopped whenever he got close to where you desperately needed him.
"Oh ye- yes, Remus. Please play with me... Fuck."
Your heart skipped a beat as Remus knelt down and lowered himself to stand on his knees, spreading some cream on the sensitive skin of your inner thighs and near your slit too.
The coldness of the cream didn't seem to dissipate, keeping you on the edge the whole time.
"My naughty little slut." He leaned down to trail a path of open mouth kisses and marks on your skin up to your heat, then doing the same with your other thigh. He was determined to show you who you belonged to.
And who was in control.
With all the creams licked away from you, he leaned between your legs and lightly grazed his tongue over your swollen clit, making you whimper. You were already a breathless mess. He only teased you, not giving you his whole attention. The control he had over you drove both of you wild.
You started to grind your hips against his mouth, but his fingers digged into your skin, holding you firmly on the surface.
"Patience... Love." He smirked, teasing you a bit more before he finally dived in with his tongue, wrapping his lips around your clit and sucking on it harshly.
"O- oh fuck." Your eyes rolled to the back of your head, hands gripping the edges of the counter painfully hard that your knuckles went white. His tongue swirled up and down your folds, spreading your wetness all over before he moved away from your clit to tease your entrance. Then he got back to what he was doing, bringing one of his fingers to your entrance and sliding it in.
"How many of my fingers can you take y/n," Remus asked tauntingly, his warm breath on your heat. "Huh?"
"More Re- Remus. I need more." He pushed in a second finger, fucking you slowly at first. Then his pace gradually got faster and more ruthless. His mouth still sucked on your clit.
"Now you can be a good girl and take another one."
With that he added a third finger and stretched you out completely, thrusting in and out of you at a rapid pace. He moved his tongue to your thigh, kissing on the red marks while his thumb replaced his mouth on your clit.
Your legs started shaking at the mixed sensations and you were getting close by each thrust. He sensed it and curled his fingers upwards, brushing against your g-spot.
"Cum like a good girl." He pressed a delicate last kiss on your pussy and that was your undoing. Your back started arching at his words.
"OH GOD YES." You yelped in delight. Waves of pleasure crashed in your body as your walls clenched around his fingers, first orgasm of the day hitting you. Remus stayed there to make you moan louder as he gave you two more licks and swallowed your juices. He held you as close as possible until you came down from your high, consumed by all his playfulness.
He finally pulled his fingers out and stood up, locking eyes with you as he licked them clean.
Still dizzy from your high, you wrapped your arms around his neck and smashed your lips to his, tasting yourself in the kiss. You then tugged at his shirt, slipping it off of him in a matter of seconds.
It was still snowing outside, but you were burning with desire under his lustful gaze.
The faint light of sun was shining through the kitchen window, casting a shiny glow on his body. You let your finger trail over his old scars and played his own game, collecting some cream and spreading it on his chest, up to his neck to make a line.
"Fuck me on th- the table." You said between heavy breaths, your chest heaving up and down as you leaned over and suckled on his skin. You left sloppy kisses here and there and slowly made your way to his neck, letting your hands roam down his torso to his pants. He let out a deep groan and stopped you.
"I was about to say that if you kiss my neck, you won't leave the kitchen unfucked," He put his finger under your chin to make you look up. "Guess you just asked for it."
Remus lifted you up without difficulty and a moment later you were on the surface of wooden dining table. The rest of his clothes were long forgotten on the floor by now. "Uh-uh. The counter can't shake, can it? And I see you love it when the table shakes under you when I fuck you, right?" He teased, stroking himself a few times and teasing your entrance with his tip.
"You caught me, Professor." You shrugged innocently and pulled your bottom lip in with your teeth. You knew it would drive him crazy.
And it did.
He slammed into you, barely giving you time to adjust. His hands gripped your hip tightly as he started to really fuck you, settling at a ruthless pace.
The table shook violently underneath both of you as you threw your head back and squeezed your eyes shut, your breasts bouncing with each thrust.
"Yes... Fuc- just like that." You cried out as your legs started quivering.
"No. You'll only cum when I let you." He stopped his pace and pulled out with a growl. His voice was threatening and low, so you obliged and nodded impatiently.
He put one hand on your chest to push you backwards. You gasped as you fell on to your back, pressing hard against the cold table. Then he grabbed your hips, pulling you closer to him. His hands hooked under your knees to help you wrap your legs around his waist. With his fingers digging into your hips again, he began to thrust into you for the second time, letting out a loud groan.
"Still so tight after all the countless time I've fucked you." He breathed out, pulling out and slamming back into you two more times as he slowed down his thrusts to tease you.
"Ple- please harder." You begged, your face flushing red.
With your words, he picked up his pace again, making you cling on the table to keep your balance. A thin sheen of sweat was forming on his forehead.
When he knew he couldn't possibly try to tease you anymore, he lifted one of your legs and rested it on his shoulder, going as deep inside you as he possibly could. His thrusts gradually got slower and sloppier, signaling that he was close too. His free hand reached down, rubbing circles on your clit. Your legs started to shake again
"Cum for me, now." He demanded, his menacing voice sending you over the edge immediately. You walls clenched around his cock, making him twitch hard and cum inside you just in time as your second orgasm of the day hit you harder and waves of pleasure washed over your body.
Both of were panting heavily and you watched in delight as his chest heaved up and down in rapid motions. His hair was messier than ever, but there was a satisfied smile on his face that made you feel butterflies in your stomach.
He rubbed his hands soothingly over your body, giving more attention to the red marks he had left on you earlier.
"Love it when you're inside me." You said breathlessly.
"Bet you do." He placed a kiss on your forehead, caressing your hair. "You alright?"
You nodded and bit your bottom lip at how caring and soft he was just being after consuming you like that. Minutes passed in pure bliss and he slowly pulled out, watching as some drips of his cum spilled out of you.
He gathered some of it and brought his finger up to your mouth and you sucked it dutifully. "Nice of you for covering and filling me up with creams today."
"I'm up for anything that makes you wetter than what you are." He winked, pressing soft kisses on your skin.
So, ANYTHING.
"Umm, will you take me out today? I wanna play with you in the snow."
"Alright," He suddenly locked his hands around you, pulling you over his shoulder and making you let out a squeak when he gave your butt a rather hard slap, causing you to jolt surprisedly. However he continued before you could say something. "I guess we both should get back to the shower first. You can play with me there too."
You tried to protest and get out of his grip when you realized he was walking up the stairs. He only laughed at your struggle, holding you tighter.
"Remus put me down NOW, kitchen- I need to finish the-"
Another slap.
"Shh or I'll have to use something icier and colder than cream to get you wet for the next time... You know what it's called?"
Remus eventually reached the bathroom door and put you back on your feet, pulling you inside the hot water with him. You gave him a puzzled and questioning look, not having understood his question fully in your upside-down state.
"Ice cream."
Or maybe even Snow...

I simply wish I could go back in time and watch Prisoner Of Azkaban for the first time again.
I mean, it was a unique and thrilling experience to see Remus John Lupin for the first time on the train...
Everybody! REMUS LUPIN!
From his chocolate offers to that sweet Hellou and the amazing Defense Against The Dark Arts classes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From that part when Remus showed up in Shrieking Shack and it turned out he was a friend of Sirius. And that part when we realized that Sirius was actually innocent.
His gentleness. His kindness. His warm smiles and velvety voice...
Tbh, I cried my heart out when he resigned from Hogwarts after the full moon night.
Uh, POA will be forever my most favorite HP movie. I'm in love. I wish I could fall in love allll over again.

Older Remus Lupin| Professor| Smut| Part 2
Words: 3.2k (Part 1 here)
Summary: Y/N has an argument with Remus and doesn't talk with him for two weeks. One day, she wakes up and notices her classmates are gossiping about him and his new pet. Lupin's pet!
Thinking that there's someone new, she goes to his office to find it out. But Remus knows a good way to show Y/N who's his only pet...
(wrote this months ago, so it's not the best. yay)
After a minute, you hear footsteps from behind and open your eyes to watch him approaching you with something in his hand.
Something that makes you imagine all the naughty things he's able to do with it...
That's a chocolate.
No, wait. Not just a chocolate. Something is poking out of the pocket of his grey cardigan too.
You try to watch closely as he stands in front of you and unwraps the foil from around the chocolate.
As you blink a few times to get a better view, you figure that the object is shining under the room's dim light. It seems to be made of metal, round and... and.... It can't be a set of handcu-
Like really? Were you a very bad and naughty pet that deserves to be cuffed?
Obviously, yes.
You bite your lip excitedly and let your mind imagine how and when he was able to buy them, because he has never used handcuffs on you and more importantly, what he's going to do with chocolate?
The thought of what he does next, never crosses your mind.
"Why oh why a jealous little girl like you deserves a treat, I don't know." He mumbles to himself and brings the thick heart-shaped chocolate up to your mouth, watching expectantly as you take a small bite.
You forget to breath for a second when he inches his face closer to you and his gaze falls from your eyes to your mouth. He doesn't move the chocolate from its position above your lips. Instead, he tilts it a little and lets the caramel filling inside of it spill out and drip down on your lips, covering them with sweet sticky liquid. You don't dare to say anything or part your lips as the caramel dribbles further down and makes a line on your jaw.
You just let the sweet piece melt in your mouth and swallow heavily as he tosses the remaining chocolate aside on the desk. He then turns his attention back to you, admiring his masterpiece on your face as he licks his bottom lip.
"What am I going to do with you?" He asks softly and tucks a strand of hair behind your ear. He's teasing way too much.
'Anything you want.' Your mind answers his question, hoping he reads your thoughts now that your mouth is closed.
Oh, he definitely reads them.
His smirk widens and his hand starts caressing over where he'd spanked you a few minutes ago, sending a new group of butterflies down your stomach.
"Anything? Needy, aren't you?" He questions amusedly as his other hand snakes around your neck, but he doesn't wait for an answer this time.
Sparks flow in your body and you tilt your head back when Remus licks the spilled drop from the side of your jaw. He slowly kisses up your jawline and swipes his tongue over lips before crashing his lips to yours, easily deepening the kiss now that your mouth falls open. Then he bites your bottom lip and sucks on it, licking off all the caramel and eliciting low moans from you.
The way he does all of that is just so hot. It drives you crazy when all of his attention is on you.
Especially when he mixes his all-time favorite food with you and licks you like his life depends on it.
"Now I have to always keep my chocolates to eat them with you. That tastes so fucking better." He pants breathlessly and a satisfied smile tugs at his lips, making you smile too.
But your smile soon vanishes when he puts a hand on your chest, pushing you down on the desk of his office. Your arche your back as your upper body comes in contact with the cold wood.
Remus keeps his intense gaze on you and takes his time to discard his reddish tie from around his neck, enjoying the whole scene while you lay there half naked and desperately squirm underneath him.
He really looks at you like his meal. He wasn't really kidding when he said "You made me be late for dinner. You're going to pay for it."
"I haven't even started yet and you can't keep yourself still. How pathetic it can be when you're jealous." He taunts you and it unbelievably turns you on even more.
You notice that he's just being agonizingly slow to tease you. You know you deserve it, but the tingly feeling between your legs only gets stronger by each passing second which leaves you no choice. When he looks away for a moment, you slowly reach down to touch yourself to ease the tension, but he notices just on time and slaps your hand away.
"Don't touch what's not yours." He points at you warningly, his voice low and dangerously calm. He then seems to think for a moment before finally pulling out the set of handcuffs from his pocket.
"I was going to think that I didn't need to use this, but with you being so dumb and desperate, I have no choice." Remus shakes his head in mock disappointment and reaches up to grab both your hands, pinning them firmly above your head at the edge of the desk.
He effortlessly fastens the handcuffs around your wrists, charming them to keep your hands there.
The odd and new sensation of not being able to move or use your hands stirs something inside you and your breathing quickens. Something about Remus having full control over you makes the room feel extra hot and breathtaking.
You swallow nervously and feel the taste of remaining chocolate down your throat as your gaze eagerly follows each of his movements.
"Now much better." Remus situates himself between your legs again and places his large hands flat on your stomach, moving them towards your chest and letting your shirt ride up as much as he pleases.
He begins to caress your smooth skin in soft and slow motions as if he's getting prepared to gradually devour his meal.
His stubble brushes on the area right above your stomach when his head suddenly replaces his hands, causing you to let out a gasp.
The devilish smirk on his face says how much Remus enjoys playing with you and getting you flustered without giving you what you want.
He definitely wants to make you regret every single moment of those two weeks when you were away from him.
He wants to show you what you were missing.
Goosebumps erupt in your body when he leans down to press open-mouthed kisses around your belly button. He locks his hungry eyes with you as he does so, forbidding you from looking away. However he still resists to give your dripping heat any attention as his warm lips move to your thighs.
You give him a pleading look, silently begging for more.
"What's that look baby? Should I take care of my needy pet?" He asks in a mocking tone, tracing his pointer finger alongside your waistband.
"Please. I need you... so bad."
He chuckles darkly at your whiney tone and his hand comes up to your throat and cups your jaw while he glances at your cuffed wrists.
"Helpless and so fucking gorgeous," Remus cooes, brushing strands of hair away from your flushed face. "You want me to touch you and do bad things to you all night long, hmm?"
You nod quickly, but he's not having it.
He squeezes either side of your jaw before going down between your legs. "Use your words, you nasty pet."
"Yes, yes sir."
With that, he hums contentedly and begins to pull your panties all the way down, but not with his hands. with his teeth, causing you to shudder.
He brings the piece of fabric up to his face and inhales deeply. "Told you I could smell it. Jealousy jealousy." He remarks and tucks the fabric into the pocket of his cardigan, giving you a disappointed look.
Adrenaline starts rushing in your veins as you try to anticipate what he's going to do next. Embarrassed by how wet you must be by now, you suddenly feel vulnerable and close legs together, only to be furiously pushed open again by his hands.
"Bunny, don't you think that it's a bit too late to shy away? You're being really naughty tonight. I won't tolerate it." He ridicules you and runs his fingers through your slick folds in order to spread your arousal, eliciting a low moan from you.
"Gonna taste my wet little pet" He purrs, licking his bottom lip.
Your heart skips a beat when he stops and bends down to spit on your cunt, wasting no time to dip his head and giving you a long slow lick. You close your eyes and throw your head back, letting out a strangled moan at the feeling of his warm tongue.
However the feeling soon fades and a sharp sting of his slapping on your thigh replaces the short-lived pleasure.
Your eyes instinctively fly open as both pain and pleasure course through your body.
"This won't work if you don't keep your eyes on me." He shakes his head tauntingly, faking a frown.
"I'm sorry, sir." You whimper, trying not to be too jittery and jumpy under his lustful gaze. He nods and pushes your legs more apart, his warm breath fanning all over your wetness.
"Can you keep your legs open too or shall I tie them apart?" He asks, pointing at your restrained hands.
"Can do it myself, I promis- ohh." You begin, but don't get the chance to finish when he finally dives in and licks at your dripping cunt like a starved man, lapping up your arousal with the flicks of his tongue. He circles his tongue around your clit before sucking it between his lips, treating you exactly like his midnight sin.
Relentless moans escape your mouth and fill the empty room and a familiar feeling starts to slowly form in your insides.
You would always want to be his midnight sin. You didn't lie when you said that earlier.
His middle finger circles around your entrance before slowly pushing into you and curling up to meet the spot that makes you see stars.
"Th- that feels so... so good." You stutter as you try hard to keep your eyes open while your hands struggle to find something to hold onto. It's a torture when you can't run your hands through his hair and push his face more into your heat.
Remus adds his ring finger alongside the middle, his teeth gently grazing over your clit as his fingers work to stretch you nicely. He sucks on your clit between his fingers once more, causing you to buck your hips up from the extreme pleasure he's given you.
Your legs begin to shake and he takes the hint as his fingers work faster inside you.
"I- I'm close... can I..."
"Yeah baby. You're going to be a good pet and show me that you deserve what I give you," He encourages you with his raspy voice before leaning down again to roughly suck on your clit for one last time. "Cum for me."
With his demand you let go and clench around his skilled fingers, your eyes falling shut at the overwhelming sensation. Your back arches off the desk and you let out a loud moan as waves after waves of pleasure erupt in your body, causing you to cum over his hand and tongue. You had missed this feeling so much.
He keeps fingering you through your orgasm until you come down from your high and pant heavily. A proud smirk forms at the corner of his mouth as you look down at him.
"Damn Y/N, all your classmates wanna be you, don't they?" He slowly pulls back and stands up, licking his glistening fingers clean as he continues. "And here you are... all worked up and wet because of their gossips."
You glance at the clock for a moment and silently smile to yourself. All those girls and boys who were gossiping about Remus in the Great Hall are probably asleep by now.
And you feel kinda sorry for them.
None of them will ever be in your place and know Remus the way you do. The thought makes you feel butterflies in your stomach. Your gaze falls back on him as you silently adore him, your chest heaving up and down.
He easily takes off his cardigan along with his shirt and tosses them aside, revealing his beautifully scarred chest to your desperate eyes. You forget your situation for a moment and begin to move and sit up, only to be stopped by the stiff handcuffs that keep you stuck on the desk.
You try again and he only chuckles. Remus knows what he's doing and it only flusters you more.
He wants to punish you by not letting you get your hands on him.
He ignores your struggles and unbuckles his belt, pulling his pants down enough for his hard cock to spring free. His pink tip drips with precum and the pulsating veins on his dick beg for release, all because of you.
For you.
Your mouth waters at the sight in front of you.
"It's so pathetic how getting jealous turns you on." He taunts lowly and lines himself up with your entrance, but you can't focus on his words while he so deliciously rubs his tip up and down your cunt in slow motions.
You hopelessly tug at the restraints to free your hands, but it seems that they get tighter around your wrists with each try.
"Let me get rid of these. I want to touch you." You pout breathlessly.
He shakes his head, coming up to press a kiss to your lips. "None of that. This will make you learn how to be a good pet." He taps his finger on your cheek and gets back down.
"But..."
"Shh," He shoves his middle and pointer fingers in your mouth to silence your whines as he slowly pushes into your entrance, causing both of you to let out a low growl. "Just as how I like you. Taking me so well, hmm?"
You nod silently and moan around him as he pushes himself all the way inside you, inch by inch until he's fully in. He waits for you to get adjusted to him while all you can do is to dutifully swirl your tongue around his finger and suck.
"Fuck girl. You do things to me." He says in a throaty voice, slowly beginning his thrusts as brown strands of hair fall loosely on his forehead, making him look hotter than ever.
Oh and god, he's so hot.
You suck in a sharp breath at the feeling of him stretching you out and wonder how you were able to go two weeks without him. His other hand runs up and down your side, stopping at your hip.
His fingers work perfectly to conceal your moans and all while he keeps his continuous pace. You dutifully swirl your tongue around his fingers as you silently suck.
After a few minutes, he pulls his fingers out and puts his hands on your thighs, holding them firmly as you wrap your legs around his waist. That familiar feeling of fullness begins to form in your insides again, this time stronger than before.
"Fuck, yes." You moan out when his thrusts become a little faster and harsher, your mixed whimpers and moans echoing freely in the room as he hits the right spots.
"Don't swear, my naughty little pet." He warns huskily, giving your hip a gentle squeeze. Your legs begin to shake again and you bite your lip eagerly as he twitches inside you, signaling that he can't hold it any longer.
"You know you're mine, right?" He says breathlessly while his hands cup your breasts, sending chills through your body.
All you can do is a brief nod as you focus on the second extreme pleasure of the night he's giving you, but he's not having it even now.
He wants to hear you say it.
"Say it." He demands, one of his hands finding its way between your legs to rub delicate circles over your clit, causing you to let out a loud moan and feel yourself growing closer to your second orgasm.
You obey him with all the passion and strength that is left in your body.
"I'm yours. All yours." You whine out, feeling your walls clenching around him as his thrusts become more erratic and deep. A satisfied smile spreads across his face at your confession.
"Are you going to cum for me, baby?" He asks, his fingers working faster on your soaked clit.
"Yes... Please." You plead impatiently.
"Go on then. Cum around my cock." He nods encouragingly, his own thrusts becoming sloppy and slow.
With his words you let go and intense waves of pleasure begin to course through your body, causing you to shut your eyes and tighten your grip around his waist as your hands hold onto the metal restraints to keep your balance.
He pulls out with a groan, and with a few strokes of his hands, he releases all over your belly, his chest heaving up and down heavily as he shots you a charming yet consumed smile.
You stay like that for a while to gain your breaths and ride out your highs, looking admiringly into each other's eyes.
Remus then composes himself and retrieves his wand, flicking it to unfasten the handcuffs from around your wrists before he taps it on your stomach to clean you up. He takes both your hands in his, slowly lifting you up from the desk. He then caresses his thumbs soothingly over your wrists and presses soft kisses over the red marks.
"Does it hurt?" He asks softly, his voice concerned.
"Not anymore." You reply with a giggle, falling into his embrace as he hugs you protectively and strokes your hair.
"Let's get you off my desk before I decide to keep you up for the rest of the night." He cooes into your ear, hooking his hands under your thighs to pick you up.
"I'm always up for it, Professor." You wink tiredly as you wrap your hands around his neck, kissing him slowly and burying your head into the crook of his neck.
He gently lifts you up, making his way to the stairs that lead to his private chambers. You had a pretty long night. He wants you to sleep peacefully.
In his arms.
"Shh. Let your beautiful eyes close for now." He walks up the stairs carefully as your eyes feel heavy with each step. His voice is like a lullaby to your ears."Just know that you're going to remember who's my little pet everytime you walk into my class and your gaze falls to this desk." He points at his desk from upstairs, finally reaching the door of his bedroom.
"I sure will remember it, Mr. Handsome." Is your last reply before you fall asleep on the best bed in the world.

Older Remus Lupin| Professor | Smut| Part 1 of two
Words: 4.1k
Summary: Y/N has an argument with Remus and doesn't talk with him for two weeks. One day, she wakes up and notices her classmates are gossiping about him and his new pet. Lupin's pet!
Thinking that there's someone new, she goes to his office to figure it out. But Remus knows a good way to show Y/N who's his only pet...
(wrote this months ago, so it's not the best. yay)
Lupin's pet?
Well, unbeknownst to you, that's going to be the last thing you'll expect to hear today.
It's been almost 2 weeks since you had another argument with Remus about that same old topic, complaining why he was so stubborn and never allowed you to help him with his unbearable pain after full moons.
As a result, you hadn't even looked at him since then and every time he had tried to keep you after class and have a talk, you'd just shrugged it off, ignoring him entirely.
It was a painful ignorance.
You felt really guilty about leaving him like that and your mind was clouded with the thought of upsetting him too much, but to your great dismay, you didn't have free time to make a visit and ease the tension.
Endless amount of homework and essays mixed with your anxiety about upcoming NEWTs had left no space for other things.
He surely would understand, wouldn't he?
It all went on like this for 14 days, but you finally made up your mind. Remus would never stop with those I-don't-want-to-hurt-you reasons and it was impossible to stay away from him any longer. You had to talk and convince him.
So today is going to be the day you get back to him. It has to start well and end well too.
But nothing always happens the way you want...
You slowly wake up from a peaceful sleep to begin a beautiful day at Hogwarts, completely unaware of the rumors that are flying around the castle and what's waiting for you at the end of the day when you find out about them.
After standing in front of mirror for countless minutes and finally being convinced that you look your best for today, you make your way to the great hall.
You still don't look up or make any eye contact with Remus, but your heart starts to beat a thousand times faster at the thought of surprising this man for tonight. Avoiding the shocked faces of your friends at your new appearance and a bunch of boys who look at you with open mouths, you sit on your usual spot and decide to try something new.
Knowing that Remus is sitting at the teachers' table a few meters away from you, isn't helping your impatient heart. So you decide to listen to students' different conversations to busy your mind and calm your racing heart.
"Who are you going to shag tonight?" A voice comes from behind, but you just wave your hand dismissively and ignore it with a chuckle.
'Only if you knew...'
Morning starts smoothly and at breakfast, there isn't much to talk about. You just hear some ranting about boring homework and long essays. Some others talk about their dates, upcoming Hogsmeade trips and a few chat about their crushes.
A bunch of "He's so cute." "You should just look at the way he walks." "Oh his smile. I would die for it." can be heard from your classmates too.
You sneer and roll your eyes. They're probably talking about one of those Quidditch players or good-looking boys of school. Well, that's the point. They're just boys and guys your age...but then you imagine Remus' smiles and his godlike walking. It instantly warms your insides and a blush finds its way to your cheeks.
You're so deep in your daydreaming that you don't even notice who they're looking at when the words come out of their mouths. All you can feel is how Remus' eyes are on you from where he's sitting, but you fight the urge to meet his gaze. That can wait for a few more hours.
It'll be more exciting.
First period of classes pass quickly and at lunch, things get more heated and clear.
Between all the grumbles about failed potions, taken house points and unwanted detentions, some "I bet his hair is softer than silk." "Oh girl, just imagine runing your hand through his hair while his head's between your thighs." catch your attention and your jaw drops when you hear them.
You clap a hand to your mouth to cover your blush and excitement. Who's this guy they're talking about? What are they even saying at other tables?
Then those girls continue in a lower tone and you listen more carefully as you carelessly take a sip of your drink. Not that you want to overhear, but they're sitting very close to you and you're suddenly interested in the topic.
"You'd be the luckiest girl in the world if you could be under him for once." "Look, he's not even here for lunch." "No wonder. I bet he has more important things to do."
Your eyes search the whole hall to find empty seats of many students at each table. It's a completely natural sight and every day some students miss the meals for different reasons. This causes you to miss a part of their conversation until one of them nudges your side, snapping you out of your thoughts with a question. "Don't you agree, y/n?"
'Agree what?'
Not wanting to seem clueless, you just nod quickly. "Yeah, yeah."
The girl smiles proudly and turns her attention back to others in front of her. "Told you. Everyone fancies him."
"Yeah, you're right." "He's also the best teacher we've ever had. No one can change my mind."
'What the hell? Best teacher?'
Your body goes still for a split second and you nearly choke on your drink, but you quickly compose yourself and begin to fiddle with your food to hide the urge of giving them a punch on the face. They're talking about a teacher and apparently, he's not here right now. It can't be your werewolf.
Secretly praying that he's there like always, you jerk your head in the direction of teachers' table. Your heart sinks when you find his seat empty, but you sigh in relief when you realize that Snape and two more teachers aren't there either.
That should be Snape then. That must be Snape.
The rest of classes pass in a blur. You hopelessly try to focus on lessons although your head starts to ache with new questions that you don't know how to answer them.
'They were talking about Snape, weren't they? What about Flitwick?'
'Why can't it be a boy?'
'Where the hell is Remus?'
It seems that you've been oblivious to all these gossips around the castle from the beginning of the year. It wasn't your fault your head was always filled with thoughts of Remus and exams. As long as the topic wasn't about things that belonged to you, you wouldn't mind it.
And now you refuse to believe that they're probably talking and even betting on him and more importantly, you can't do anything about it.
You can't just walk around and say "Hey, he's mine. Say one more thing about him and I'll hex you until you forget your own name." to anyone who compliments Remus. It puts his job in danger.
So you hold on your only hope: That can't be him and they're talking about another teacher.
Soon you'll find that you should worry about something more important than this...
Hours go by and night approaches in a flash. Feeling regretful for your stupid decision about listening to your classmates, you choose to ignore everything like before and just let the dinner pass, so you can meet the man you've missed so much and find out why he's been absent after breakfast.
You enter the great hall and absent-mindedly walk towards your usual spot. Midway on your way, the same girls from morning and afternoon pass behind you and once again you can't help but take notice of them.
"He's spending tonight with his special pet. That's a bet." "You're not wrong. Lupin's pet. That's hot."
They giggle and walk away, but you stand there frozen, not believing your ears. Your face drops and coldness washes over your body. Words linger in the air and all your excitement for meeting him vanishes totally.
'What the actual fuck?'
'How long they've been talking about him? Why him?'
Plan ruined.
You feel a lump in your throat as you gaze up at his empty seat. All the teachers are there except Remus. It doesn't surprise you as much as you expected. What leaves you speechless is the newfound information.
Lupin has a pet and obviously, it's not you. Because you're here and he's not in the same place with you. It all makes sense now.
"What a fool I've been. It just took him a few days to give up on me and keep someone else in his arms?" You mutter to yourself as you search for an excuse to skip dinner without making anyone suspicious.
You grip your bag tighter in your hand as you feel a sudden pang of jealousy and remorse.
Blood rushes to your face when you recall all your memories with him. Well, none of those girls has said there's someone else or a new pet. They don't even know about you. Also, there are plenty of times that Remus hasn't been able to join the meals due to his sickness or unfinished work.
But your mind doesn't seem to function normally right now. All you can think of is the previous weeks that you spent without Remus and how it's resulted in someone else taking your place next to him.
Having no appetite to eat anymore, you turn on your heels and shuffle out of the hall. Your head starts spinning a bit and you stop in one of the dark empty corridors, doubting if you should go back to your dorm or spend a little time in the library to free up your mind and process everything you've heard.
Knowing that your friends will be back to the dorm in half an hour and no one will probably study after dinner, your feet drag you to the library.
You sigh in relief when you find it unoccupied and decide to sit on a chair in the corner. Then, you pull a book out of your bag and open it, hoping it helps you forget everything. It's utterly impossible to read when all the distracting thoughts and potential reasons of their gossips are attacking your mind.
You didn't expect to hear your name between their conversations, but it still hurts to imagine that someone else is doing the things that you've done with him before. You were always his good girl and now?
Well, you've filled up your mind now, instead of freeing it up.
You scold yourself countless times and slam your book shut as you angrily stand up. This has to come to an end tonight. After packing your bag in haste, you storm out of the library and aimlessly wander through the corridors for a few minutes. When you make sure that no one follows from behind, you keep on walking to the familiar direction of his office.
Though you know all the steps that lead you to his place and you can even find it with blind eyes, it feels weirdly strange to walk this way again. What will his reaction be?
The dim light that comes out of his door, casts a faded shade of yellow on the stone floor, calming you a bit.
But it's not enough. All those words start to flow back to your mind with each step you take and your hands get cold as you get closer to the door, wondering why all of a sudden every movement is slow and your shoulders feel heavy.
"He's so cute."
No, they can't talk about him like that.
"Imagine running your hands through his silky hair while his..."
No, these thoughts shouldn't turn you on.
"Lupin's pet. That's so..."
No, it's definitely not you. Don't get your hopes up. He doesn't want you anymore.
"The luckiest girl in the world is the one who's under..."
No, you're not jealous.
"I bet he's spending tonight with his special..."
No, if special, why a secret? Just find out who's taken your place and you may end up hexing or killing that person.
You push everything out of your mind when you finally reach the door. It's slightly ajar, indicating that he's still here. Feeling a little turned on and angry, you take a deep breath and raise your hand. After a moment of hesitation, you push the door fully open without bothering to knock.
Seeing him after a long time makes your heart sink. Maybe this wasn't the way to get back to him, but your anger takes over again and you ignore his warm smile and how his face lights up when he lifts his head to meet your eyes.
He's sitting behind his desk with a quill in his hand, seemingly grading the stack of papers that are laying all over the desk in front of him. Even from this distance, you can tell how tired and sleepy he is, but he still offers you a welcoming smile which you can't return. Not just yet.
Where's that girl?
"y/n, long time no s-" He begins in a tone of delight, but you slam the door shut behind you to interrupt him as your eyes scan the room for a sign of someone else until your eyes land on him again.
"Where's she?" You ask icily as you take a few steps towards him, noticing how his smile changes to a confused look.
He puts the papers back on the desk as his eyes follow your movements, "She? Who?"
Of course he's going to deny it now.
You chuckle bitterly and throw your bag on the floor, making sure to add extra force on it as it lands next to your feet with a bang. Then without a word, you stride towards him and when you reach his desk, you let all the papers fall down with a swipe of your hand.
Remus seems taken aback by your unexpected harshness. Well, that was a little too bold, but there's no taking back now. You circle the desk and jump on it, sitting right in front of him as you let your legs swing back and forth.
He bends down and picks his wand up from the floor, waiting for you to say something as he flicks it to probably lock the door. Not caring about what he does with that wand, you just fold your arms and fake a smile before continuing in a sarcastic tone, "Well professor, turns out that you've got a new pet. I came here to congratulate."
He looks at you even more confusedly, but doesn't deny anything, "Thanks, but it's not new though."
'Not new? I just didn't visit for a few days and he's already given up on me? It's true then.'
His reply fills your heart with disappointment and your anger turns to fear. You wonder why he's easily talking about someone else in your presence like it's so simple and casual. Next words come out of your mouth in a shaky voice.
"You- You like her?"
"So much." He huffs and runs a hand through his light brown hair, clearly annoyed by your silly questions. "y/n, let me grade the rest of these papers and we can go down-"
"Does she make you happy?" You interrupt again, feeling how tears brim in your eyes. He carelessly fiddles with the quill between his fingers, only reminding you of what happened at lunch.
"Yeah. She's a quite clever one and she's so lovely."
This is unbelievable. You slowly unfold your arms and stop your legs from swinging. Next question quickly forms in your head and you ask it nervously, afraid of his answer to this one.
"Have I ever seen h- her?"
Remus frowns slightly and looks down at the papers before looking back at you. He studies your face for something god knows what as he replies, "Did you have a drink or something? You've seen her quite a lot. She brings my letters for you."
Your eyes widen with shock and you struggle to keep your jaw from dropping for the second time today.
"Letters? What?"
Now it's his turn to chuckle bitterly, "Honestly y/n, did you just come here to ask about my owl? I thought you missed me."
Was it just his owl?
You avert your eyes for a moment and shift in your seat awkwardly as you stutter with words. "No, no. I mean, not that pet, a- a teacher's pet."
His mouth forms an o when realization hits him. He slowly puts his quill on the desk next to your thigh and leans back in chair with folded arms as he keeps his gaze fixated on you.
How the tables turn.
Minutes pass in silence. You notice how his eyes roam your body up and down. His expression is unreadable. There's something on his face that you can't make out if it's an amused smile or mischievous smirk. Whatever it is, it sends a chill through your body.
You swallow heavily when he pulls his chair closer to you and his eyes finally land somewhere down your belly, on your skirt.
His eyes are definitely darker than what you saw moments ago. The mischief that sparks in them, doesn't go unnoticed by you.
Suddenly aware of your position, you look down to find out how your skirt has rolled up and literally covers nothing much anymore. Why is his face dangerously close? Why is he devouring you with his eyes? You wonder to yourself, but no words come out of your mouth. Instead, your heart starts to beat a thousand times faster when he speaks up in a low whisper.
"I smell jealousy."
Damn, he is a werewolf.
He casually rests his palms on your bare thighs and his thumbs softly brush your sensitive skin. He smirks up at you, clearly enjoying the way you tremble under his touch and how you bite your lip nervously to stop yourself from making any sound.
Remus' hands slowly travel up, tracing the expanse of your inner thigh as he looks up at you, not allowing you to look away or budge.
Your cheeks flush when you hear his next words and all your anger and fear fade completely.
"I thought we both know who's my pet. How could you not know it, baby?" He leans down and presses a lingering kiss on your thigh, causing you to let out a small moan.
His hands slowly slide up between your thighs and you give a jolt when you feel his thumb tracing over your clothed clit. His other hand pulls the fabric up to add more friction to his touch.
"Why all of a sudden you're speechless? I didn't expect it from you." He asks in a low voice, making you melt as he stops his movements on your aching clit and places his hands back on your thighs (unfortunately).
Knowing what's waiting for you now that you've been harsh and bold, you try to compose yourself and escape the situation.
"Righ- right. I guess I should leave now." You begin to move, but he gives your thighs a hard squeeze, indicating that you're not going anywhere without his permission.
That is surely a warning.
"You made me be late for dinner. You're going to pay for it, baby girl."
"I- but it's not too late." You glance at the wall clock as you search for a reason, but Remus shakes his head.
"Too late."
Then he pauses for a second and his hand finds its way around your waistband. "Plus, if I'm not mistaken, this," He points at your short skirt as he begins to unzips it. Something you'd decided to wear this morning. "Shows that you haven't come here to just argue."
He's right.
You lift your hips up, letting him take your skirt off effortlessly. He then toses it somewhere on the floor, not breaking eye contact as he taps on your knee.
"Up, now." Dominance drips from his voice, making you follow his instructions without a second thought. You dutifully oblige and lift your knees, bracing your feet on the wooden desk which causes you to spread your legs and show off a generous amount of your lower body to his piercing gaze now that there's no skirt to cover you.
You forget to breathe for a second when he leans over and begins to kiss your inner thigh, his warm breath fanning all over your skin. His middle finger begins to rub up and down your clit as he holds your leg open with his other hand.
"You made me miss you so much." He whispers between the kisses, igniting your insides as you try to suppress your moans.
"You made me miss this."
You let out a whimper when he withdraws his finger and his next kiss is on your pussy. You close your eyes and throw your head back as you feel the tip of his tongue running it up and down your desperate clit.
But it disappeares quickly and he slaps your thigh sharply. You squeak surprisedly and your eyes fly open as both pain and pleasure course through your body.
"Eyes on me."
You nod eagerly and he continues to tease you with his warm tongue while he gently rubs his hand over where he's just slapped.
He slowly begins to stand up from his chair, adding more pressure to his tongue as he does so. It feels so good that all you want to do is to press his head on your pussy and get as much as him as possible, whether it be your hand on his hair or your thighs around his head.
But nothing always happens the way you want...
Just when your legs start to shake, he stops and pulls back, lifting his head to look at the whimpering mess he's made from you. You pout your lips, not attempting to hide your desperation.
"You're already wet and it's so fucking pathetic, you know it?" He announces, looking you dead in the eyes as he steps closer.
You gasp when he grabs your waste and presses his body firmly to yours, wanting you feel his growing bulge between your thighs as much as possible, "Do you feel what you've done to me? Are you even able to pay for that? I doubt it." He asks with a dark chuckle, making you wet even more.
The way his body is this close to you is so intimating and you haven't felt it in a long time, so you'll do anything to convince him, "Please make me pay."
"You want to be my midnight sin, don't you?" His raspy voice echoes in your ear as he traces his thumb over your lips, sending shivers down your spine.
Midnight sin. The way he says it makes your heart beat even faster, if that's humanly possible.
He then begins to leave sloppy kisses over your neck while you search for words. The feeling of him this close is so good that you don't dare to say anything more, afraid of stopping him or bursting into tears.
"I-oh my- I want to be your sin every single day." You finally confess truthfully.
"Oh really? Then why you were away for two fucking weeks?"
You've missed him so much. He's missed you too, but he's definitely going to tease you until you regret leaving him like that.
There's a reason he's so calm. Surely a storm is on the way.
"Say something. I've missed your voice." He purrs between the kisses and his fingers caress your cheek as he gently nips the soft skin of your neck, earning a low moan from you.
Guilt washes over you at his words. It's time to apologize.
"I- I'm sorry. Everyone was talking about you and I- It really made me angry. I'm sorry for not visiting you too. Tha- That was my fault. Please make me regret it." Words come out of your mouth in a shaky voice.
"Alright. I'm sure you're sorry." He suddenly pulls away and stands a few meters away from you, leaving you frustrated at the loss of touch.
Fuck, he shouldn't tease like this.
Your eyes follow as he walks away and his figure disappears behind you, "Don't leave me here."
"Don't worry. I won't let you go this easily." He replies with his mischievous smirk and walks out of the office.
You sigh in relief and close your eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath and trying to process what's happening while you listen the sound of your racing heart. It makes you even more excited when you don't know what's going on in his mind.
After a minute, you hear footsteps from behind and open your eyes to watch him approaching you with something in his hand.
Something that makes you imagine all the naughty things he's able to do with it...

Older Remus Lupin| Dad one shot| Fluff| One part
Words: 2.2k
Summary: On a rainy weekend in the middle of autumn, uncle Padfoot can't take Y/N and Remus's twin kids out for a ride on his motorbike. So Y/N and Remus become the cool parents they are and turn their day into a chocolatey adventure. From chocolate cake to Charlie and The Chocolate Factory's book. Something funny happens in the end...
𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧
Putting the problems and hardships aside, you could completely agree that raising two small Lupins was all fun. It was a blessing. Having two children that closely resembled their dad and constantly reminded you of him? Seeing their bright smiles and adorable faces everyday? You wouldn't change it with the world. Without a doubt.
Everytime you found a moment of silence to think about it, a feeling of pride would bloom and fill your insides. You felt like the luckiest mum in the world.
And wife, of course...
Speaking of the children, as much as your twins loved summer and its warm water-splashing days, autmn was currently their most favorite season.
Throughout the week, you would take them out to venture and stroll among the trees. They loved to fly magical kites, jump and dance into piles of colorful crunchy leaves and even help in the garden with you. Even at the times when the orchards at the backyard of your lovely cottage burst with apples, they would insist on going out to pick them.
Some other days they would sit in a corner and paint or stare out the window to watch the flocks of birds as they migrated to warmer places.
Oh and chocolate... it wasn't a want. It was a need. Necessity.
"... a day without chocolate is totally useless, mum. Believe us." They would always say in unison whenever you asked why they liked it so much.
Just like their dad.
(funny how none of your kids would reveal who taught them that term)
Beside all the fun, autmn was also a busy season for Remus and he had so much work to do. From teaching at Hogwarts to accomplishing missions for the Ministry of Magic. So weekends were something you always cherished and looked forward to.
And today was one of them.
You were on the couch, head resting against Remus's lap as he sipped from his tea. His free hand gently traced up and down your arm, causing all the tiredness to gradually fall away from you. You hummed delightfully and stared out the fogged up window, letting your fingers draw lazy patterns on his thigh as minutes passed in silence.
And what? Silence? It was odd.
The only sounds you could hear around you came from the crackling fire in the fireplace and the hammering rain that beat continously against the window.
So where were the other noises? Jumping around, running, yelling? Where were Hope and Hansel?
Remus had surely noticed that too. He brought your hand up and placed small kisses on your fingertips before asking in a low tone.
"Too quiet for a Sunday evening, aren't they?"
You shifted slightly, looking up at your man. "Uhm. I think they're still waiting for Sirius to take them out for a ride on his motorbike. Hansel told me about it this morning... Just wait until one of them notices the weather..."
As if on cue you heard footsteps from upstairs, which was followed by the hushed voice of your five year old daughter.
"Mummy, we finished feeding the owls."
"Told you." You smiled and got up from his lap, only to be stopped by his grip on your wrist. He tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, softly caressing your cheek.
"Let me take care of the kids, sweetheart. You've worn yourself out by working nonstop."
You shook your head quickly, placing a reassuring kiss on your husband's forehead. "No Remmy. I'm fine, honestly. You need to rest yourself. It was a pretty hard week for you."
By the time you approached the staircase, the twins were already there, barely containing themselves as they shuffled on their feet and caught their breaths.
You knelt down to be eye level with them. "Hmm, let me see, did you water your small plants too?"
"Yes mum. All of them." Hope nodded quickly.
"She even taught me how to make a magical wand." Your son added, handing you a small wand which was designed with tiny blossoms. They'd probably made it from the fallen branches they'd gathered in the morning. "Now where's uncle Padfoot?"
You put the handicraft aside and took their tiny hands, hesitating for a moment. "Oh sweeties, it's raining heavily outside. Uncle Padfoot couldn't make it here today. He didn't want you to catch a cold."
Their expression dropped, an exaggerated pout forming on their lips. "But he promised."
"I wanted to fly up with him. Above the clouds."
"He'll take you out next weekend. How about we do something else without going out?" You suggested hopefully, catching the kids' attention.
They looked at each other thoughtfully, seeming to ponder the idea in their pretty little heads and thinking what they could do right now. Suddenly Hope's face lit up with a new idea and she leaned forward to whisper it into his brother's ear. You gazed at somewhere in the space and pretended that you couldn't hear a word. Although they were merely a feet away from you.
"Hans, we can bake a cake."
"A cake?"
She nodded excitedly. "Yeah, full of chocolate, hmm?"
That was enough to make Hansel's face light up as well. A newfound source of energy was prominent on both of them. You chuckled amusedly. Lupins would never turn down a chocolatey offer.
"Can you, um, help us to bake a chocolate cake, mum?" Your daughter asked with hesitation, wrapping her arm around your neck. His brother followed suit.
"Please."
You felt two warm kisses on each of your cheeks and smiled at how they knew you wouldn't say no to them. Those adorable expressions could easily convince you. Your hands ruffled their golden-brown hair, causing them to giggle childishly. "All the chocolates are waiting for you in the kitchen. Let's go."
Sparks of excitement began to dance through their beautiful eyes. A loud hooray erupted in the house as they wasted no time to run towards the kitchen.
"They learned that from you." You pointed at your cheeks and winked at Remus before following the kids.
And that was the truth. Remus would give you a sweet little kiss and you'd do anything for him.
An hour later, the air around you was scented with the heavy rich smell of melting chocolate. The kitchen had turned into a total mess. Milk was splashed on the floor. The counter was covered with flour and the kids had painted each other's face with whipped cream. You just stood aside and watched with interest, occasionally helping them or flicking your wand to prevent them from hurting themselves. As long as they were happy and their faces were alight with fun and laughter, you didn't mind the mess at all.
Magic could fix it easily.
Besides, they could experience and explore new things.
Minutes later, Remus finished grading a few papers and came to stand next to you, his eyes widening noticeably at the scene he witnessed. He gazed sideways at you and raised a brow, his expression something between amused, shocked and apologetic. He tiptoed his way towards the kids and cautiously moved to avoid stepping on a broken egg or kick a spoon on the floor.
"Now now, lovely chefs, well done. Let's get you cleaned up."
He took the whisk and bowl from them and slowly helped them off the stools.
"But the cake isn't ready yet, dad." Hope stated, hastily wiping her chocolate-covered hand with the hem of her apron. As if she wanted to hide it from him.
"It almost is. All we need to do is-"
"Put it in there. What is it... oh, the oven." Hansel hopped up and down, pointing at somewhere on the other side of the kitchen.
"You're spot-on, little boy" Remus patiently took off their stained aprons and placed them on the table before fixing their clothes. "Close your eyes and count from three to one. Something magical is about to happen."
He exclaimed mysteriously and waved his hands in the air, knowing very well how the kids would burst with excitement and react to any hint of magic. Especially from him.
"Three... Two... One."
Remus snapped his fingers and, in that very same instant, all the stains and chocolate remainings vanished off from their clothes, two hazelnut truffles appeared in their small hands (as a reward) and a book flew down the stairs, landing in his own hand, causing both kids to gasp in surprise.
You took a glimpse of the book's title and it read Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. It was one of your favorite books. "Who wants to listen to Willy Wonka and little Charlie's marvelous tale? I didn't tell you that... but it's gonna be full of wonders and sweets in it."
"Who is Willy Wonka?" Your son asked curiously, munching on his sweet reward.
"He's magician with chocolate and candy, Hansel. He even owns the largest and most famous chocolate factory in the whole world." Remus explained patiently.
"What about Charlie?"
"Come on... hurry up. The time is ripe. Let me tell you all about him..." He guided them out of the kitchen to the very same couch you'd lounged on earlier. His velvety voice began to read the words as your kids sat on either side of their dad and listened intently. It was a lovely sight. Remus knew his way to their little hearts very well. He could read for hours and keep them stuck in the spot, asking for more.
Well, who could say no to that man whenever he offered to read with that voice of his?
You settled on cleaning up the kitchen and chuckled everytime you heard Hansel or Hope's comments and opinions about the book. They would laugh at some parts, feel sad for some others and even gasp out in disbelief when something fascinating happened.
"That's impossible!..."
"Oh poor Charlie. I'd share my chocolates with him..."
"I want a golden ticket too!..."
"A large castle made entirely of chocolate? All of it? He's unbelievable..."
Halfway through the book, the rain had eventually stopped and the dark clouds were parting ways in the sky. When you made sure that all the mess around you was tidied up, you went to check on the Lupins. They had finished eating their edible cake and well, just as you expected, the kids had no intention to go outside and leave their dad's side.
In fact they had awesome ideas to argue about.
They took turns, talking nonstop. As if the ideas would disappear if they didn't think out loud. Remus had a funny expression plastered on his face.
"We want to build a chocolate factory when we get old..."
"With a big big candy boat." Hope outstretched her arms to show how big she meant.
"Or a hot chocolate river, and a caramel waterfall..."
"...and a chewing gum that never loses its taste..."
"...what about marshmallow blankets, and um, ice creams that never melt. Mum, just think of it... you can keep it lying in the sun and it won't go runny..." Hansel shouted for you from afar as you sat on chair behind the counter. You nodded encouragingly, wondering at their wandering minds.
Everyday they would have a new imagination, entirely different from the previous ones. Just yesterday they wanted to build countless nests for birds and keep them warm, so they didn't need to migrate and fly too much.
"It's exhausting. They get tired." Was their reason.
Their eager suggestions continued, bringing you back to the moment.
"We'll put golden tickets in all the chocolate bars, so every kid can visit our wonderful factory!..."
"Dad, dad. Will you be our Willy Wonka? You're a magician too..."
"Well..." Remus's gaze shifted between the two kids indecisively, not knowing what to say to fulfill their fertile imagination.
Hansel suddenly seemed to come up with an idea as he leaned over to whisper something god knew what to Hope's ear, causing her to nod mischievously. "We can convince you, dad. Just wait."
With that they took off running up the stairs, leaving their dad flabbergasted and giving him no chance to reply. He cocked a brow and closed the book, raising from his seat to flop down on a chair across from you. All you could muster was a clueless shrug at his "How am I going to be convinced now?" question.
Wooden floor creaked above you and shortly after that, you saw something that made you clap your hand over your mouth to stifle your amused laugh. The kids were wearing two of Remus's oversized cardigans that covered their frames from head to toe. It was nearly falling off their shoulders, causing them to struggle with their steps as they descended the stairs. Their hair was disheveled, showing the hard efforts.
"Now you can't resist them anymore." You let your head hang low as you let out a hearty chuckle.
"What-?"
He turned around, his confusion turning into a delighted chortle. That was the truth. Remus always reveled in the idea of you wearing his knitted cardigans. Now it was adorably funny on your kids.
"How do we look, dad?"
"Oh! How am I supposed to say no to your pretty ideas now? Let's finish the book and see how we can build H&H's biggest chocolate factory in the whole universe."
Remus grabbed the wondrous book, but stopped for a moment to give you a wink. Just like you'd done earlier. A warm blush creeped up your cheeks as you heard his low whisper.
"They most certainly learned that one from you, sweetest thing."

February 13
Next morning arrived faster than ever. One day was left to the ceremony and obviously everyone was in a tizzy, running around the house, floors cricking under their steps and noises echoing in the air. Mrs Weasley occasionally scolded one of her children or instructed them to take part in preparation for the upcoming day.
"Ronald Weasley, STOP poking at those desserts. Uh... George, don't encourage your brother-"
"Those wedding presents just need sorting out... MIND YOUR STEP, mind it- no, Fredrick!"
"WILL YOU EVER GROW UP?"
"Arthur... HELP."
You remained in bed for a few minutes, not moving one bit. You were both afraid and excited to open your eyes. Excited, because you had no idea what kind of bombshells and secrets awaited you. Afraid, because you probably wouldn't still know who was the mysterious sender of them.
And last night, you had a chance to figure that out... but you missed it anyway.
When everyone was asleep, you'd stayed up most of the night, pacing around the room and trying to stay awake, so you could see who would show up in the room and set up all those flowers. But despite all your efforts, you fell asleep at the crack of dawn.
You sighed. The sounds that came from downstairs weren't getting slower, so instead of putting a silencing charm in the room, you decided to wake up.
"Ginny," you called for her on the other side of the room, yawning and rubbing your eyes. "Get up before your mum bursts through the door and, and- oh no!" You gasped and clapped a hand over your mouth when your gaze fell on your surroundings.
"Oh please. Seven in the morning? It's Sunday." Ginny woke up with a groan, ruffling her red hair.
But you didn't even notice her. Your attention was set to something else.
Festoons of brilliantly-coloured flowers were spread over the walls, from top to the bottom. Even the ceiling was adorned with them. Ginny's room had turned into a gorgeous wonderland.
All in purple.
Purple Orchids.
This was crazy.
You pushed the sheets off and jumped to your feet, making your way towards the nearest wall. You gently caressed your fingers against the velvety petals and leaned over to get a better view, biting your lip in excitement as you felt the softness of them under your touch.
You smiled, and more blossoms grew between the tiny gaps on the wall.
How could others say that they couldn't see this masterpiece? Maybe they were just teasing you. Maybe this was a part of their prank.
You were clueless.
Shaking your head, you took a deep inhale, taking in the floral scent of the magical flowers that had a faint smell of sweet candy into them too.
Each day was more beautiful than the other one.
"What are you doing, Y/N? Does it smell good?" Ginny asked from behind, catching your attention. You only nodded.
"You know... since Harry's eyes are green, I decided to make a change and paint the walls in green. Mum's still unaware of it though. I had no idea you like the smell of freshly coloured walls."
Your eyes widened in disbelief.
"Huh? Please don't tell me that you can't see these flowers on the wall too. I- I'm losing my mind." You whined, running a hand over your face.
"Wow!" Ginny gazed down at somewhere on the floor, completely ignoring your dropped expression. "Sounds like your secret admirer has a way of playing with colours. First white, then yellow, and now purple."
There sat a new vase at the foot of your bed, filled with a bouquet of fresh Purple Orchids and a bunch of evergreen foliage, all finalized by the third envelope you'd received through the past three days.
She picked the vase and examined it, smile not dropping from her face.
"I, um, I thought you could see the changes on the walls, Ginny."
She stood up and came over to your side, putting her hands on your shoulders.
"Well... of course I can't see them. No one can. Haven't you realized it yet? That means they're only charmed for you to see. You're not losing your mind."
Your heart gave a strange thud.
Ginny then went to your bed and fetched the new envelope, saying something about how excited she was to read one of these letters since she'd only heard about them from Hermione. You nodded absent-mindedly and she wasted no time in tearing it open and scanning the note.
Were the flowers really charmed for you? And only you? This was on another level. You thought of Ginny's words, finally concluding that she was probably right.
"And here you go... that was admirable!" The girl gestured to the letter and handed it to you.
You took it with shaky hands, hoping to see someone's name in it as you swallowed dryly and began to read.
~~~
Purple Orchids,
They represent admiration.
I want you to allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and worship you. I admire you not just for your smile (though it's ravishing and beautiful) and not just for your eyes (though they shine brightly).
I admire you for your strength and courage.
I admire you for the battle scars and war wounds that you so proudly display for the whole world to see. You always stand for the right things, defend your loved ones, and never give up on your values even if the world turns upside down and your beliefs are to be tested in the hardest way possible. That must be so foolish of me and anyone around you to not worship every inch of your exquisite being.
I admire you for your grace, elegance, kindness, compassion and more importantly... your bravery.
Y/N, I admire you, for being you.
And thinking of this fact while I'm writing for you, makes me want you even more. If that's possible.
I hope that you still want me too.
P.S. Don't forget about the delicate petal in the envelope. Just wait one more day.
~~~
There was someone who ardently admired and worshipped you? There was someone who admired you for being yourself and reminded you of your bravery? How could this be possible?
"Just way one more day."
That meant tomorrow...
Your heartbeat began to raise again.
"Do you think our bridesmaid dresses will be ready today? I'm dying to see what colour they're in. Hermione doesn't tell me either. Maybe they're purple... or even yellow." Ginny asked from the front of her dresser while she quickly combed her hair. Probably to get out of the room before Mrs Weasley could barge in.
"Maybe."
"Here's a thought. Find your secret admirer and ask him the colour of our dresses, will you, please?"
Him? Did she know who...
Your head snapped up. You looked at her with suspicion and realization slowly dawned on her face. Keeping an unfazed expression, she straightened her shirt and turned to leave the room with quick steps.
"Wh- Ginny!"
She was out of the door before you could stop her. You chased after her all day long, but she did her best to stay out of your reach and keep herself locked in a room with Harry or helped with the housework to show that she was very, very busy and had no time to answer you.
You had no choice but to wait for the right time and see if you could figure out what she meant by 'him'. So you went outside to help Mr Weasley, Bill and Fleur to put up a large tent at the yard in front of The Burrow. Then you set the tables, decided on decorations with Fleur, arranged the balloons and other fancy items before going back inside.
Fred and George didn't stop messing with Ron, and that surely got on Mrs Weasley's nerves. It was funny to watch how she nagged at Sirius for secretly teaching them some new pranks.
In the evening, when you found Ginny alone in the balcony, you confronted her, in hopes of getting an answer.
"I was just thinking about Harry when I said it, that's all." Was her only reason.
And did it convince you? Probably.
Most of the evening was spent with you trying to comfort Hermione and reassuring her that everything was fine and ready for tomorrow. When she finally gave up and agreed to take a rest, you gave her some alone time.
First thing you noticed after going downstairs was that Charlie had arrived... with his girlfriend. Without a doubt, he was crossed out of your list too.
Now you had an empty list. Great.
Late in the night, you found Mrs Weasley alone in the kitchen and away from the noisy cheerfulness of others. She was looking through the pages of an old photo album. You decided to ask her about the flowers too. You knew it was hopeless, but since it was her house and she was probably the first to know everything, maybe she had some information.
"Mrs Weasley, I was wondering if you knew about the, um, the person who sends me those flower pots?"
The witch put the album aside and quietly wiped her eyes. "Oh... those flowers. The kids told me all about them. I thought you've figured it out on your own by now."
"No, no. It's all really confusing. There's no name tag or sign for me to know who it is."
"Molly!" Mr Weasley called for her from the living room, catching the witch's attention.
"Y/N, dear, wait a little more. You won't regret it." She smiled weakly and exited the kitchen, leaving you there.
Just one more day, the questions lingered in your head until your eyes fell close. You wondered what would happen tomorrow now that you hadn't changed your room anymore.
Purple Orchids were still on the walls.
You still had no idea who was messing with you, but admittedly, all the flowers were astonishingly beautiful.

February 14
From the early hours of morning, guests arrived one after the other, adding to the buoyant aroma of the house of Weasleys. To your great delight, or dismay... the Purple Orchids were still at their previous spots, all around the walls that surrounded you.
Nothing had changed.
There was no sign of new letters and flowers anywhere. The three vases were lined at the foot of your bed, shining brightly in the morning sunlight that
No more new flowers.
You had no idea how to feel about it. Happy, because today was your friend's wedding? Sad, because the thought of receiving more flowers was exciting to you? Anxious, because now you couldn't find out who actually sent the gifts? Worried, because today, in a few hours, you had to meet with Remus after so long?
You had many many things to tell him.
What if he had found someone new?
What if he didn't want to see you ever again?
What if he-
"SEE WHO'S AWAKE!" Three girls burst through the door, breaking your train of thoughts and nearly giving you a heart attack.
"Good heavens! You scared me, moonstruck lasses."
"Uh-huh. We'll see who's the moonstruck lass in here." Ginny chuckled, closing the door behind her.
"Moonstruck la- what? What does it mean?" Fleur looked at the three of you confusedly.
Hermione dragged her to a corner and began to spill out her knowledge. Ginny followed behind them as you examined the dresses. "... let me tell you that. Lass means girl and Moonstruck is used for someone who's in love and acts slightly crazy. In general, you take it to a girl who's crazily in love..."
"Or should we just say moony-struck." Ginny leant over and mumbled the words to both of them who quickly nodded in agreement, wearing a knowing smile.
You couldn't possibly hear what she said even if you'd strained your ears. What was up with the whole lot of them?
"What did you just say, Gin?"
She shrugged negligently. "Absolutely nothing... I was saying that we're going to make the prettiest bridesmaids the world has ever seen. Come on... try it on."
You rolled your eyes playfully and grabbed the delicate dress, putting it on and standing in front of the mirror.
It was a beaded floor-length dress with thin spaghetti straps and a piece of ribbon which was tied delicately around its waistline. Shiny little sparkles were embroidered all over its soft chiffon material, finalizing the magical view of the dress in the most elegant and beautiful way possible.
All in a sweet shade of pink. And glittery.
"It's fabulous!"
"You're fabulous." Hermione corrected you.
"Oh my, Y/N, you're going to steal the spotlight tonight. This is mind-blowingly beautiful." Ginny exclaimed in a dreamy voice.
A faint blush crept up your cheeks. "Alright, now don't flatter me."
"Believe it or not, a gorgeous couple are going to make that happen. It's a promise. Though... by the looks of it, you don't have to fight hard. You already got it."
A gorgeous couple?
Your heart sank a bit, old questions rushing back into your head. What if Remus had found someone new? It was going to be an unbearable night if that was true.
"A couple? Do I know them?"
"Patience darling. You'll find out soon, though I guess you know this couple very very well." Fleur put a hand on your shoulder and winked at you through the mirror. "Now get a move on, girls! We don't have the whole day to ourselves."
She briefly glanced at the three vases next to your bed. It went unnoticed by you.
In the following hours, more guests arrived and half of the tent was nearly full. You did each other's makeup and listened with interest as Fleur gave Hermione some useful advice and bragged about the perks of getting married on Valentine's day.
Now all the pink and white adornments made sense. The dress was pink too.
What else was in pink? Oh... the small petals you'd kept so far.
Mrs Weasley came upstairs every five minutes to check on each of you and unmistakably her eyes filled with joyful tears each time her gaze fell on Hermione who looked stunning in her white dress.
You didn't dare to ask the old woman if Remus had made it there yet.
By 4 in the afternoon, everything seemed to be ready and from what you'd seen through the windows, the boys looked charming in their suits. Only you needed to wait some more for the rest of the visitants.
But Mrs Weasley's worried outburst said that everything wasn't actually ready.
"Oh no... something's missing. Ugh, we can't start the ceremony without it."
"What- Where is it?"
"The, umm- the bridal veil. Yeah, Hermione's veil. It's in Sirius' house." Ginny answered.
"Alright, he's probably downstairs. I'm going to call him and he'll fetch whatever you need to-" You went to exit the room and find Sirius, but Hermione stepped at the doorframe, blocking your way.
"No, no. Only you can do that, Y/N."
"I- I can't go there."
Mrs Weasley silently ushered the girls out of the room, dragging you to a corner. Last minute Hermione stopped to pick the small jar of petals and hand it to you.
"Please, dear. You know it's not about the veil. You've left an important part of yourself at 12 Grimmauld place. We'll be right here, waiting for you."
She gave you a comforting smile and left you alone in the room. None of them even gave you a chance to complain. You paced back and forth for a few minutes, not trying to hide your panicked state.
Grimmauld place was full of your old memories. How could they ask you to go there?
Knowing that you had no other choice but to go there, you took a deep breath and seized your wand, apparating to that place in a blink of an eye.
It was empty, dark and unbelievably cold. A thin layer of dust was prominent over the torn portraits on the wall and the oak door that led to the kitchen was slightly ajar.
Memories started flooding back to your head the moment you began to walk and step a foot on the cold floor of 12 Grimmauld place. It was a weird feeling. You knew where this was going and at the same time, you didn't know anything.
You peered over at the living room, hearing the muffled sounds of the past.
"So, tell me... Do you love him, Y/N?" Hermione asked in a low whisper, sitting next to you on the couch.
"Oh my god, do I love him? If I had a flower for everytime I thought of that man, I could walk through my garden forever. I- I think it's love." You fiddled with the cup of coffee in your hand, finding it impossible to not love Remus Lupin.
"I think he loves you too. Yeah... he does."
You gave the girl a questioning look, as if to ask her "How so?"
"Oh, haven't you noticed it yet? He can't stop staring at you during the Order's meeting... It's not new. He's been acting like a dreamer for almost two years by now. In fact, he's staring at you even now-"
POP
A sudden sound echoed in the narrow hallway and disturbed the silence of the place, causing you to jump in surprise.
A small neon arrow had appeared out of thin air, lighting up the space that surrounded you. It was right above your head, directed to the staircase.
You raised a brow, wondering if you had to follow up with it and make your way upstairs. Having no other choice, curiosity outweighed your fear and you walked up the creaky stairs.
The arrow took a turn and vanished behind the door of your old room.
You followed swiftly and pushed the door open, heart beating fast inside your chest. The arrow stood still over a wooden table in the corner of the room, pointed at an envelope that was placed there.
But you caught sight of something else and a chill ran down your spine.
A wardrobe. Your wardrobe.
You hesitantly made your way to the dust-covered wardrobe, pulling its door open with shaky hands. Your gaze instantly fell on the familiar white stack that was laid forgotten in a dark corner.
All the letters you never sent to him.
You didn't need to squint your eyes or rummage through the shelves to see that your old diary was right there too, a few inches away. This was a hard moment, knowing that once upon a time that diary was your inseparable company... whenever Remus was miles away in a tough mission. All your lovey-dovey midnight talks under the roof of this room were recorded in its pages.
Remus never fancied the idea of writing letters, you reminded yourself. You could exactly remember the day you'd it from him. That was the reason you'd decided to buy that diary...
There was this one night when you were curled up into his lap next to the fireplace, only hours before Remus had to leave you again. You were complaining with him about the fact that he never wrote you any letters, saying that you had to memorize and write down his words to read them later whenever he was on a mission for weeks.
"Remus, why don't you just write one letter? Just one." You pouted sadly, resting your head against his chest to listen to the melodious beat of his heart.
The only natural way you knew that could distract you from breaking down and crying in front of him.
He chuckled softly, tightening his arms around you as he left a kiss on your hair.
"I- I don't like the idea of sending you letters. Look... as long as I have the chance to meet your pretty face, hear your enchanting voice and see your precious reaction while I say what I want to say to you, I don't feel the need to be away and trust the written words to do what they can't truly do."
A lump formed in your throat, ready to make you cry at any moment.
You put all the hesitations aside and took a deep breath, reaching out to grab the diary. There was a reason behind all these incidents.
Brushing off the thin layer of dust from its cover, you flipped through the pages and randomly came across a page, immediately remembering what the memory was about. The last memory you'd recorded in it. Words were scribbled down rapidly, causing your handwriting to look horrible. You chuckled lightly, reading through it.
_______
The day Remus called me 'my love' and I asked him why:
"Y/N, I call you my love because I know no other name in which to call you," He paused, placed a sweet kiss on my cheek and hugged me tightly before continuing. "I could call you my rose, but the petals of the rose die and wither after some time, unlike the light and liveliness I see in your eyes. I could call you my sunshine, but it's not just about sunny days and pure lights. My love for you doesn't dissipate when you're made of dark shadows and cracks of lightning too. I could call you many pretty names, but I will call you my love because that is what you mean most to me."
I can just melt away from how lovely this man is.
God, I'm sure he saw my rosy cheeks. I, I can't- I want to cry so badly right now.
_______
Then there were dried stains at the bottom of the page, indicating that you had in fact cried your heart out the moment he'd closed the door and left.
You flipped to the next page, coming across a new note. But it was completely different from your previous notes. Your eyes instantly widened as you recognized the new handwriting. You were shocked for a long while.
It was exactly like the three letters you'd received during the past few days.
But how? Was it there all along and you were unaware of it?
_______
My precious Y/N, time was running out the last time we talked together. I hope you don't mind me reading out a few pages of your diary. I'm writing this to let you know that I wasn't finished with what I was saying that day and there's more to tell, hoping that it'll fulfill your dreams and make up for all the letters I never wrote.
Love is the way I feel when I hear your breathing while you're sleeping peacefully in my arms. Love is that captivating look on your face that makes me forget everything. Love is the way you turn our moments into forever with a single word or a gentle touch of your hands. You can melt my heart completely and put it all back together with your presence. As simple as that. The only word I can use for these feelings is Love.
Love is the way you rub your feet against mine and admittedly it's the only natural way I know to sleep, and love is the way I feel my eyes tear with happiness to be writing to you now.
My darling, I write to you with no other intentions, but to explain to you how you're the passion that helps me get through the day and put all these tough days behind. You're an angel and a friend, and you're everything I want, because I wouldn’t know how to be if I had to be without you.
And yes, I happened to see your blush and it's admirably cute. As always.
If you could see what you do with my heart whenever you blush like that, you'd do it every single day.
P. S. Your handwriting is marvelous, by the way. Take care of yourself for me.
_______
The writing style, the speacial PS parts. It was from Remus. It was the way he wrote his letters.
And you hadn't even seen this page for months.
All of it was from Remus. You weren't mistaken. He was your secret admirer.
You put the diary aside and shook your head in disbelief as you strode towards the table to grab his latest letter.
But just as you took a hold of the white envelope, your surroundings started to twist and disappear from your sight, dragging you out of the house.
It was a port key.
Seconds later, your feet landed softly on the ground, next to a cottage. You were practically used to all the surprising events by now, so you quickly collected yourself and looked around. The field around the cottage was filled with fresh grass that rippled freely in the air. Sun was dipping down and disappearing behind the mountains, throwing its red and orange glow all over the ground.
The whole view was breathtakingly beautiful, making you wish you could live there forever.
The neon arrow led you towards the cottage and you followed it with slow steps. Its front door was opened and a dim pink light was coming out from the inside.
If what you saw outside was breathtakingly beautiful, you had no idea what to choose for the new scenery that made you gasp out loud.
It was a true wonderland, much better than what you'd ever seen. Much better than all the Jasmines, Sunflowers and Purple Orchids.
It was all in red and pink.
The pink light from earlier was coming from the enchanted ceiling above you. Little sparkles and stars were raining down from it, covering the velvety petals of the flowers.
Lush bushes of red rose were gathered all around the floor and over the walls. Some pink roses could be seen between them too. They gently rustled in the wind that came in through the open window, causing a delightful and lingering fragrance to waft through the air and fill your lungs.
How could Remus do all of these?
Right when you tore your gaze away from the flowers and ripped open the envelope to read the last letter, the neon arrow that had led you here exploded above you and turned into countless red petals that softly fell down on you.
You found it hard to breathe by each passing second. Your heart couldn't take all of his amazingness.
~~~
My dearest Y/N,
Red roses convey love. Yeah, love... this four letter word that took me four years to realize the deepest meanings it carried inside.
I love you
enough to fight in the hardest battles for you, and genially sacrifice myself if need be. Enough to miss you incredibly when we're apart, regardless of the long distance and infinite time.
I love you
enough to believe in what's between us, and stand by it through the worst of times. Enough to have complete faith in our boundless strength as a couple... and enough to never give up on us.
I love you
enough to blissfully spend the rest of my life with you, be there for you when you need me, or want me. Enough to never ever want to leave you or live without you. I love you this much.
Well... even though this letter isn't the most poetic of all, I sincerely and honestly poured my heart into it. And yet... I feel that something is incomplete in here. I still don't fully trust the words to do this truly and have a nice ending, because...
~~~
"... I love you much more than that."
A familiar voice came from behind you. Your heart skipped a beat... and skipped all the beats when you turned around.
He was standing there next to the now-closed door, only a few feet away from you, sporting a nice dark suit and looking more healthy, handsome and charming than the last time you remembered from him. Time slowed down when your eyes met.
You couldn't bring yourself to move. Your feet were stuck to the floor. You couldn't remember how it felt to breathe or talk. Your mind was in a trance.
He gave you that endearing smile. One of those smiles that never failed to take your breath away.
It was the last straw. Tears began to stream down your cheeks, causing your vision to go blurry.
"Remus."
His name was all you could manage. Your legs gave away and you nearly lost your balance, but he was quick to make his way towards you and hug you into his arms. You were finally at home.
He was finally at home.
You stood there for long minutes, reveling in each other's presence. Remus couldn't believe that the hard times were finally over and he had you back.
"You came here..."
But he could believe it the moment he heard you calling his name.
"I love you too. I shouldn't have fought with you, Remus. I shouldn't have let you go." You snuggled into his chest, your shaky voice muffled into a whisper.
"Shh, please don't cry, angel." He whispered softly, caressing your hair with his fingers. The feeling was like no other. "It was foolish of me to give up and leave. We both made mistakes, but now look... we needed to be apart from each other for some time. If anything, distance made me love and yearn for you a million times more."
You pulled back to look into his warm eyes. He brought a hand up and wiped away your tears. You were certainly sure that you were breathing the same air.
It warmed your insides.
"You, Remus John Lupin, have a way of making everything look so easy. You called me moon and stars, but I was lightless without you." You confessed truthfully, resting your hand on his cheek. "I should've told you that. I always dream of you. You so perfectly made me feel warm and healed and... yeah. I want you more than anything else in the world. I love you, so maddeningly much."
His smile got wider. He tightened his grip around your waist. "I love you too, sweetest thing."
His gaze was locked into your starry eyes for what felt like an eternity. Then it drifted to your cheeks... oh there it was, those adorable blushes of you. Then down to your lips. He couldn't help it.
He wanted to kiss you, just as much as you wanted him to.
Remus looked up into your eyes again, one of his hands gently holding the back of your neck.
"May I?"
You nodded and he closed the gap between you, your lips connecting together into a sweet and tender kiss. His other hand ran up and down your bare back, giving you butterflies.
A few blessed minutes passed.
"I see that you brought the petals, hm?" He said when you pulled back for air, having spotted the small jar you were carrying earlier. His eyes glinted with something you didn't know what.
But you knew why there were four petals. Four years of knowing and loving each other, through highs and lows. That was it.
The man enjoyed your wonderstruck expression while he pulled out the pink petals and put them next to each other.
He pointed his wand at them and seconds later they turned into a floral crown with pink buds of rose and tiny green leaves adorning it. It was mesmerizing. He placed it upon your head, stood aside and smiled widely.
You were speechless.
"Pink roses for happiness. Because you make me happy in a way no one else can," His eyes gleamed with adoration as he took your hands in his and spoke. "Will you be mine? Will you be my Valentine?"
"Always."
He beamed at that and placed your hands on his shoulders while his arm snaked around your waist, drawing you closer to him.
"Do you think we have a little bit of time for something?" He asked hopefully, casting a brief glance at the clock on the wall.
Still enchanted by the feeling of him standing this close to you and holding you into his embrace, you weren't on your right mind to decide what to do, but somewhere deep in your heart, you were sure that you needed more alone time with him. Even if it was just a second or two.
"I feel like we do."
"Great, then." Remus pulled out his wand again and directed his attention to somewhere in the corner before flicking it in the air. He quickly stuffed it back in his pocket and tightened his hold around your waist, nodding calmly as a response to your questioning look.
Seconds later a soft melody rose from the rocord player and filled the air, adding to the lingering romance of the place.
He wanted you to dance with him.
For a fleeting moment, right in the middle of that cottage, all the disturbing thoughts started to rush through your head, causing you to doubt yourself and tense up a bit. What if you messed it up? What if you couldn't dance well and match his-
"I've got you." He interrupted and smiled reassuringly, stopping the thoughts from affecting your heart.
In your heart, you knew how to dance with Remus and that was enough to keep you moving.
Oh how well he could read your mind.
Remus slowly began to move and waltz around on the wooden floor, holding you delicately as his determined eyes silently talked with you. You followed suit and soon realized how easy and endearing it was to dance with this man, just like how it used to be... Just like the nights of past memories in the burning candlelight of his office or the dim light of the moon in your room at Grimmauld place.
You always matched each other perfectly.
Remus was in awe as he swayed you, his dearest angel, around. He was almost sure that this was the sweetest dream he'd ever had... and if it wasn't for you resting your head against his chest, he would assume that this was all in his imagination and he'd lost his mind. He believed it all over again.
Remus was the luckiest man in the whole universe. He was living in the middle of his sweetest dream. You were his. It was real.
"Precious..."
He leaned down pressed a kiss onto your hair, inhaling deeply and getting lost into your intoxicating scent.
By now the whole room was resounding with the soft rhythm of the song. The flowers were still there. The sweet scent of them was still in the air. You were still alive... and you still belonged to Remus.
The song came to an end. This was by far the best Valentine you've ever had.
"You're breathtaking, you know that?" Remus cooed into your ear, not wanting to let go just yet.
But there was a wedding, waiting for you.
"Now I know. It's because you're standing here with me."
You went to drag him to the door in an attempt to hide your playful smile, but he cut you off fleetly, giving you one long kiss. You wrapped your hand around his neck and let your other hand run through his hair as you kissed him back with the same amount of passion.
After a minute or so, he slowly pulled back and cupped your cheeks, smiling tenderly.
"They're gonna hate us, aren't they?"
"And why's that?" You asked impishly, pretending to be clueless. Only now you noticed his tie was pink too.
Oh... you were the gorgeous couple Fleur had talked about.
"To be fair, we're late and well..." He looked you up and down.
"If I'm being honest... we're going to steal the spotlight anyway." You finished with a wink and he let out a hearty laugh, holding your hand and casting one last look at you before apparating to The Burrow.
They were right. You were the moonstruck lass.
A girl, crazily in love, with him... Moony.

Older Remus Lupin | Valentine one shot| Part 1 of two
Words: 4.8k
Summary: A few days before Valentine, someone begins to send Y/N letters and fancy flowers. She has no idea who's the sender of them. With Hermione and Ron's wedding on the way and other events, she doesn't know what to do. But... She's almost sure of one thing. Remus Lupin never likes the idea of writing letters.
𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐫
It was a pretty busy time in the history for you.
Months and months after a ruthless war, sad memories were fading into nothing, giving way to the cheerfulness of new events and ceremonies. Everything seemed to be back to normal.
Apparently.
You found yourself thinking of it as you sat next to the window, finally letting out a relieved breath while you silently glanced up at the night sky. The only sound that could possibly disturb the quietness of the room was either the muffled chattering of Hermione's parents that came from downstairs or the beating of your heart that was far from calm. The latter was stronger and more distressing. These past few days were incredibly exhausting for you. Constantly going from Weasley's house to Granger's for help and working at the Ministry at the same time had taken a toll on you.
And deep inside, you knew that having a stressful time wasn't the only reason for your impatience.
But you were good at hiding that particular reason.
At least that's what you thought.
You just took advantage of the quiet moment and used the chance to think about all the events that had happened through the past few months. Everything was processing in a fast pace and to be honest, you weren't ready yet.
Something was missing.
Someone was missing.
Everything around you looked perfect. Hermione and Ron were getting married in a few days and you were more than glad for them. Right from the start, they were made for each other. Fred and George, your bosom friends, had reopened their joke shop, once again taking over the whole Wizarding World with their astonishing products and pranks. You still remembered that dreadful day at Hogwarts when everyone thought that Freddie was gone. Hopefully, the gladsome tears of Mrs Weasley and the rest of you when you once again had the chance to see the twins causing mischief together was now the only memory to reminisce about.
Harry was still the talk of the town, every so often having an interview with a Wizarding magazine or being awarded countless medals of bravery because of what he did to Voldemort on the grounds of Hogwarts. He had finally pursued his favorite career at the Ministry of Magic, training to be an Auror along with Ron.
Bill and Fleur had a great life together, awaiting their first baby. Charlie was still working with dangerous dragons in Romania. Percy was back to live with his awesome family, making amends to them and admitting his mistakes. And lastly, Ginny (yes, the-boy-who-lived's love) had decided to become a professional Quidditch player for the Holyhead Harpies, winning matches one after the other. Molly and Arthur Weasley couldn't be more proud of their children.
And gratefully, you were there to witness all those wonderful moments. Was there something better than being welcome to a great family like Weasleys? They were all like a family to you.
On the other side of your life, you had another friend. A truly reckless one. Sirius. He was away and out of reach most of the time, freely venturing around the world and traveling with his flying motorbike to different places. Every once in a while he'd send you letters and excitedly talk about his great adventures across the oceans with dolphins or through some dark jungles while he was trying to tame a lion. His recklessness always amazed you.
"Come on Y/N- what's life without a little risk?" Was his reply whenever you asked him to be more careful.
Careful? It was unlike his character. Sirius was carefree. Maybe someday you needed to accept his offers and join him in one of these treacherous trips. He never failed to lift your mood with his witty remarks, sarcastic jokes or even useful opinions. Hopefully, he would soon visit The Burrow and stay for a couple of days.
Anyway... it all meant that... life had no choice but to be awesome for you.
Did you agree? No.
You were trying your hardest to be normal and saviour each and every moment, but something wasn't just right.
Someone was missing from your life and it was hard to bury that emptiness inside and keep a perfect composure around your friends. His absence was devastating.
The worst part was that you had no idea where he was.
You had a hundred letters, held in the darkness of a wooden shelf in your room at Grimmauld Place, all collecting dust and waiting for no one to read them. A hundred more of them were addressed to the burning fire in the nearest fireplaces around you. You never sent them to him.
Why? Oh, Remus never fancied the idea of writing any letters. He would never reply to you. Never.
These hopeless letters were meant to be addressed to you.
To you and only you.
To you, Remus John Lupin, love of my life.
To you who took my heart away with you the moment you left.
Or should I say... the moment I fought with you and pushed you miles away. Only because you were nearly killed in a terrible war by trying to save my life. I'd be damned and doomed if anything bad had happened to you.
That wasn't fair to you at any level. I always thought that you were too good to be mine. How could I let you sacrifice your life for me?
Worse than that, how could I let you go oh so easily?
I stood alone in the middle of nowhere for months, wandering around in hopes of being found someday, by you.
These letters are all addressed to you... who'll neither read nor answer any of them.
I'm sorry.
And I love you. More than I could ever tell you...
Your eyes welled up with tears. All this time you'd tried to put all your love for him aside and convince yourself that there was no point in talking with him ever again, because you, of all the people, knew that he wasn't the one to answer any letters.
And now, you were only a few days apart from meeting him at the wedding.
He surely would come, wouldn't he?
You didn't regret the day when you argued with him about why he'd tried save you from several Deatheaters by putting himself in danger. But you regretted the day you let him go out of your life.
Your life was saved, then lost.
You were afraid of his reaction.
He surely wouldn't want to talk with you, would he?
Hearing footsteps approaching the room, you quickly wiped your eyes and jumped from your seat, making your way to the nearest bed which Hermione had successfully conjured half an hour ago. She was an only child, so naturally there was always one bed in her room.
"I was checking the whole schedule with mum and dad again. They're just more anxious than I am." She said breathlessly, dropping on the bed next to you.
Fortunately, the lights were off and under the faint light of the moon, Hermione couldn't possibly notice your reddened eyes even if she tried.
You wrapped your arm around her comfortingly. "Oh it'll be fine, Hermy. You're the greatest daughter your parents could ever ask for, and now that you're all grown up and ready to be a lovely bride," You winked at her and she blushed "they're just both happy and worried at the same time."
"Yeah, yeah you're right. It's just slightly terrifying to leave the walls of this house. Things will be different, but I'll visit them as much as possible," She looked around at the bare walls, pausing when her eyes fell on the picture frames that held her childhood photos. She then turned to look at you. "anyway, Y/N, are you comfortable in here? My room isn't that good and big enough fo-"
"Don't be silly, Hermione. Everything is alright. Now you go and get some rest. There's a lot to do tomorrow." You quickly cut in, giving the girl a reassuring hug before ushering her towards her bed.
She nodded with a smile and climbed up her bed. Satisfied with yourself for handling the situation, you closed your eyes, only to snap them open when Hermione's words echoed in your ears.
"You were crying, right?"
Oh great.
"I- I'm just thrilled about my genius friend's wedding, that's all." You half lied, not wanting to bring up your own worries and affect her too.
That was all you could tell her.
Not all of the things you buried deep within the cracks of your heart.
You closed your eyes again, hoping that you'd be strong enough to make it to tomorrow and the upcoming days uneventfully.

February 11
The sound of birds chirping harmoniously and flapping their wings outside in the open air over the trees, indicated that morning had arrived sooner than what you imagined.
For a mere moment you went to sit bolt upright, assuming that it was another day to work at the Ministry of Magic and you were most certainly late, but then you remembered that you'd taken the Friday off to stick by Hermione and help out with the wedding preparations.
What a relief.
A sweet and rich scent wafted in the air and filled your lungs as you inhaled deeply and rolled over in your bed. The scent got stronger with each passing second, making you wonder where it came from.
"Hermione, you awake?" You asked drowsily, not bothering to open your eyes just yet.
"I'm wide awake. Come on Y/N, look around you. Isn't it breathtakingly beautiful?"
Curiosity got the better of you and you forced your eyes fully open, letting out a sudden gasp when you came to your senses and took in your surroundings. It was almost like entering a wonderland. All around the room and each of the walls were adorned with small and white flowers. Hermione was staring at the ceiling, smiling sheepishly. You looked up and your eyes widened in more surprise. Even the ceiling was covered with buds of Jasmine. Was this the same room you slept in last night?
"Oh my-"
"I know."
Your lips curled into a smile and you sat up to get a better view of the heavenly scene. If you were surprised seconds ago, now you didn't know what to say when more Jasmines began to bloom and fill the tiny gaps in the wall. Did they grow with someone's happiness? Apparently yes. It was insane how love could make someone do something as wonderful as this. But how? When? You made a mental note to ask Ron about it later.
"Beautiful is an understatement for this masterpiece. I wonder when Ron got the chance to come here and do all these stuff. It takes a while and of course magic and the love he has for you can make it easy to-"
"No, no honey. This is for you." She shook her head and chuckled amusedly, gesturing at somewhere on the floor.
"Wh- what do you mean it's for me?"
You confusedly tilted your head to the side and looked down at the floor, only to find a glass vase at the foot of your bed which was brimming with a bouquet of fresh Jasmines and some green foliage.
You raised a brow, wondering why there should be a vase full of those sweet-smelling flowers too while the whole room was full of them. Your first question was answered when you spotted your name on a small envelope that was attached to the vase. Now a letter too? It was really for you.
But why you? None of that made sense.
For a long moment, you debated picking and opening the letter. You looked at Hermione, silently asking for help. She gave you a reassuring nod, signaling that there was no need for you to be nervous about something as simple as that. You took a deep breath and seized the envelope, opening it. You took the note and read out the words to yourself.
~~~
Jasmines,
They are known to take the role of inspiring queens in the kingdom of flowers.
Jasmines, in the simplest form, mean inspiration.
I never was the best learner, but the days I spent with you, turned out to be the most beautiful and inspiriting days of my life. All the things you taught me about life and love, led my soul to try its best to make a new change. They helped me become who I always wanted to be. No more doubts, self consuming thoughts and well, insecurities.
And yet... the most important lesson I've learned in this lifetime is that, a life without you is never enough.
It's just equal to a life without love.
Y/N, It was all a secret for years, but now I want you to know that you've always inspired me like the stars do to a dreamer, and the moon does, to the sea. I'm that sea, eternally longing for your moonlight.
I'm that dreamer, constantly dreaming of you.
I hope that you dream of me too.
P.S. Keep the little petal with you.
~~~
You almost lost your breath and a faint blush crept up your cheeks as you read the heartfelt words on the small paper. It was admittedly beautiful, but still, none of it fell into place for you. You read the words over and over again, finding yourself more confused than before. The handwriting wasn't familiar and there was no name on the letter.
"That's impossible. I mean wh- who could've possibly sent this? It's almost impossible to put all these Jasmines on the wall without being heard or noticed."
"No idea." Hermione shrugged and scanned the letter, her mouth forming an o when she finished it.
She began to search through the envelope for something and seconds later, a pink velvet flower petal was placed in your hand. "Here's the petal your adorable admirer has mentioned."
Admirer?
She said with a playful wink and got up to her feet, making her way to the nearest wall in the room.
"The walls? You mean here?" She brushed her hand over the fresh flowers just as you gazed up. You nodded quickly, not noticing that the small Jasmines didn't even move under her touch. "Oh please. There's nothing on the walls."
The girl left and closed the door behind her, not giving you a chance to react.
Couldn't she literally see any of them?
That was impossible.
For the next few hours your head was spinning with new questions and different answers.
"A life without you is never enough."
"I'm that dreamer, constantly dreaming of you."
Who could literally be the one to write all those sweet words and take your breath away without leaving a trace behind? You thought of your school friends and Ministry colleagues, but from what you remembered, no one ever had that handwriting and way of surprising you both together. You were sure of it. Your memory wasn't playing tricks on you.
Even if someone had magically done those works with flowers, there was a low chance that they would know the address Hermion's house.
Unfortunately, even Hermione's parents had no clue who was the sender of the flowers.
So, it meant that you needed to focus on your closer friends. For obvious reasons, Harry, Ginny and Ron were quickly crossed out of your list. Maybe it was Fred, George or even Charlie. Maybe it was Sirius.
You had no idea.
The rest of the day was spent mostly in Diagon Alley with Hermione trying on her wedding dress countless times and raving at the shopkeeper about why the bridesmaid dresses weren't ready just yet.
Then, you wandered around the alley a bit more and visited a few more shops before making your way to Fred and George's joke shop, Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. Mrs Weasley had asked you the other day to drag the twins to The Burrow, saying that they were always occupied with work until the last minute. Now you saw why. The shop was extremely crowded and you had to practically squeeze between the people to successfully make your way inside.
You stood in a corner and watched around the place until your gaze fell on a spot that was apparently more appealing to the visitors.
The love potion section.
It was no wonder, considering the fact that Valentine's day was only three days away from you. The exact reason why the wedding ceremony was on that day too. Even the shop was decorated with red ornaments and balloons.
You sighed and looked away, not wanting to reminisce your old Valentine memories.
Then suddenly an idea popped in your head. You considered it for a few seconds and slowly made your way to the table at the front of the shop. There were several parchments and signed lists on it and all belonged to the twin boys.
You quickly picked a few of them and squinted your eyes to carefully check the handwritings.
"Need anything, wonderful girl?"
"Oh- no, nothing." You hurriedly dropped the papers and stepped aside right when you heard Fred's voice from behind you.
Their handwriting wasn't anything like the letter you'd received either. You decided to ask him instead.
"Wait, I was just, um, wondering if you or George have sent someone any letters this morning?"
"This morning?" He raised a brow questioningly, looking over his shoulder at his brother. "No, I don't think so, and I'm pretty sure George has the same idea. What's the matter, sweetie?"
Sweetie? And those sweet-smelling flowers? It was him, right?
"It's nothing important. Um, what about flowers?"
He shook his head again and you sighed defeatedly, knowing that Fred was not the one to ever lie to you.
You just hoped that this wasn't one of those pranks of them.
Hours later, the four of you arrived at The Burrow to spend the remaining nights there. You decided to push the thoughts away and enjoy the night with the sight of Hermione and Ron stealing glances at each other and blushing fiercely each time their eyes locked.
When midnight approached and you had some alone time for yourself, you read over the letter one more time and pressed it into your chest. The idea of having someone out there who thought of you this way brought a grateful smile to your face. When your eyes slowly fell shut and sleep consumed you, there was only one lingering thought in your head.
You would eventually find out about this mysterious person.

February 12
"Y/N, Sirius is here. Mum wanted me to tell yo- oh wow!"
Someone burst in the room and exclaimed rather loudly, once again indicating that it was morning. You stifled a yawn before forcing your eyes open, only to be met by George's shocked expression as he stood at the doorframe.
What was the matter with him?
His news went unnoticed and unheard by you as you came to your senses and looked around the room, eyes widening in surprise. It was unbelievable. Now this room (which used to be Fred and George's before) had turned into another wonderland too.
"No way!"
Each of the walls and even the ceiling were decorated with large yellow flowers.
Sunflowers.
You rubbed your eyes and carefully peered around again, not believing what you were seeing. But the moment you smiled and watched how more buds of sunflower bloomed and filled the tiny gaps of the wall, you realized that your eyes weren't deceiving you.
"Yes way. So these are the flowers Fred told me about, hmm?" George came and sat next to you.
"Ye- yeah. All these flowers." You nodded absent-mindedly, taking in the beauty of the whole scene in front of you. The faint sunlight that was passing through the curtains, dappled the yellowish petals and doubled the shiny enchantment of them.
George waved his hand over your face, waking you from your mesmerized trance.
"Why are you staring at those Quidditch posters on the wall like some crackpot? I know that we're handsome, but there's a letter over there waiting for you."
Posters on the wall? Your brows furrowed. There were no posters on the wall. To be exact, they were probably buried beneath all the flowers.
Oh... he couldn't see them too?
You shrugged and glanced down at the floor in search of the letter, once again finding a new crystal vase which was brimming with sunflowers and some dark green foliage. Another envelope was placed next to it. You bent down and seized it, your heart beating fast in your chest.
But for a moment you doubted opening it. How could this person know of your whereabouts and carry the flowers to wherever you went? What if it was just a prank? What if there was still no name on the letter?
Oh, what if it was from... No, he never wrote any letters. That was impossible, you reminded yourself.
Midway between the rush of questions, George said something about going to get Fred, so he could also see the flowers, and left the room.
You took a deep breath to calm yourself and made sure to take one more too. Then you ripped the envelope open and read through the words.
~~~
Sunflowers,
They're a perfect symbol for warmth and healing.
I'm sure you can figure out how much this means to me, to us. But I can't help telling you that your presence healed me so perfectly when I felt down.
You healed the wounds of my soul when I was at the loneliest levels of my life. You gave me an undying amount of strength when I was getting low. You mean so much to me... more than I could ever tell you.
I tried to ignore the signs for so long, but the fact that it was always you never faded out from my thoughts.
You know... with the right person, even breathing feels like healing and even the coldest days of winter feel the warmest. Only with the right person... and to me, it's you.
Y/N, I've had the sunniest summer days in frozen winters of life with you.
I hope that my presence in your life made you feel warm and healed too. I... hope.
P.S. Please take care of the little petal. Soon you'll find what's the reason.
~~~
Sunniest summer days in frozen winters? You were practically speechless. Every single one of those words had the ability to melt your heart right on the spot.
You read the note over and over again. Just as you thought, there was no name tagged onto it. It was only addressed to you.
Sighing defeatedly, you took the second pink petal and placed it in a small jar next to the other one.
"Soon you'll find what's the reason."
You were going to see this person soon, right? The thought warmed your heart as you went downstairs, only now belatedly remembering George's news when you heard a familiar laugh coming from the kitchen.
"Sirius!"
You exclaimed with happiness, jumping into his arms. He chuckled heartily, hugging you tightly.
"Hey little sunshine, long time no see."
Sunshine? Sunflowers? Of course he did it. He always had a habit of sending you countless letters. Maybe he'd only changed his handwriting to mess with you.
If he wasn't going to mention anything about it throughout the day, you had to ask him yourself.
Later in the evening, when Harry finally finished his long chat with his godfather and Ginny dragged him outside to help with the decorations, you got a chance to have some alone time with Sirius.
"You sent the flowers, didn't you? Oh- how could I not know that." You said, sitting on a chair next to him.
He wore a confused expression just like how Fred had reacted.
"Flowers? What are you talking about, Y/N? I may or may not have brought some souvenirs, but as long as I know, there's no flower in them."
Why was everyone in denial now?
"Wait..." You paused for a moment, considering the idea that he probably needed to check the stuff you'd received. Maybe he would know anything about the sender. "Come with me."
"If you insist on that one, I'll do more."
On a normal situation, you would laught at his quirky remark, but now you only rolled your eyes and took his hand in yours, dragging him upstairs.
"Here, look. These Sunflowers are all over the wall and that vase's next to my bed. There was a letter attached to it too. Yesterday I received the first one. We were in Granger's house and when I woke up the room was full of Jasmines." You explained in hushed voice.
"I know that you've missed me so much and it's maddening, but... flowers on the wall? There's nothing in here to see, honey." He chuckled, brushing his palm against the nearest wall.
The yellow flowers didn't move under his touch either.
"I'm not mad, Sirius! Plus... you're the only one who writes me letters," You huffed and went to snatch the letters, feeling yourself getting frustrated. "Look at it. I was thinking that maybe you've changed your handwriting or something."
"Well, maybe it's from- oh no. I have no idea," He quickly shook his head, handing the papers back to you. "But apparently this secret admirer of yours knows what it means to take some risk in life. Remember when I told you that? What's life without a little risk?"
Your expression fell. Sirius was crossed out of your list too.
"Honestly sweetheart, even though I admit that you've always been there for me and helped me to heal and get better when I was in hiding, I wasn't the one who sent the flowers nor the letters to you. As it's written there, you'll figure it out soon." He said reassuringly, giving your hand a squeeze.
The rest of the day was spent with him and he took you out for a ride on his motorbike, flying above the clouds and talking about everything and nothing. At dinner he took everyone's attention by one of those adventures of his. Half of it was made up, of course, but everyone enjoyed it and reveled in his funny jokes.
After dinner, Fred and George along with other boys, took Ron outside to play a game called Bachelor Quidditch, saying that it was necessary before he got married and eventually thrown out of all their games.
Except the fact that today it wasn't only Hermione and Ron who had blushed cheeks and Harry and Ginny who constantly stole glances at each other were added to them too, everything was pretty uneventful.
Late in the night when everyone went back to their rooms, it was only you, Sirius and Mr Weasley left at the kitchen. You'd insisted to help her out with cleaning the dishes.
"Molly, do you have any idea where Remus is? I haven't seen him in a while." Sirius suddenly asked, catching the attention of both you and the plump witch.
She sighed wearily and dropped to the nearest chair.
"Don't get me started on him, Sirius. That man never tells us what he's doing. He always makes a weird excuse to get out of all the invitations. I haven't known much about him since the end of the war either."
"When will he arrive in here, then? I want to make sure he pays for all his strange absence and creepy manners." He raised a fist, shaking his head in disapproval.
As if he was ready to punch Remus on the face with that fist.
Of course Remus was invincible.
What did Sirius really think?
Everyone's actions sounded slightly out of place. It almost felt like they were just acting, but you shrugged off the idea soon, thinking that it was all your imagination. You didn't need to be suspicious about everything.
The exchange of looks between the two of them went unnoticed by you.
"He just said that he'd be here soon. That's all I know... Sirius, for goodness sake, don't go berserk on him when he arrives. It's my little boy's wed-"
"Did Rem- uh, did he send a letter?" You interrupted her, quickly regretting your words.
The witch hesitated for a moment.
"I'm afraid no, dear. I just received a patronus from him this morning. You know how those messages work- I only heard his message, and then it just disappeared afterwards."
You nodded absent-mindedly, continuing to dry up the rest of the dishes.
Late in the night, there was a knock on the door, signaling the arrival of Bill and Fleur.
And this meant that you needed to change rooms.
And changing rooms meant there were new walls...
Now you had two letters, two vases, two petals and no answer for your questions. You wondered what was waiting for you on the upcoming days.
𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐩𝐚𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭: 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬
This wasn't over just yet. Something was awaiting you tomorrow...

Lupin's pov
The clock was ticking steadily against the wall as I lay awake, deep in my own thoughts. Sleep seemed foreign to my eyes these past few days, as if I'd never heard such a thing before and it never existed in dictionaries.
Sleep? No definition found.
Struggle? Countless pages of adequate explanation.
I was used to that difference.
Tonight things were a bit more overwhelming than last night and I could do nothing about it. It was always like this, the closer I got to the next full moon, the worse my inner wolf would become.
'It'll pass soon. Calm down, you difficult thing.' I assured myself and ruffled my hair absent-mindedly (just like how she used to do). It was just another sleepless night when my mind was going through the phases of changing. Nothing to be worried about.
At least that's what I was hoping for.
A cool breeze passed through the curtains and drifted around the room, reminding me to let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I just didn't want to make the slightest of sounds and disturb my sleeping beauty. She was tired from the long hard week.
I sighed and gazed up at the enchanted ceiling above me. Above us. It was exactly like the magnificent ceiling of the Great Hall back to Hogwarts. With the help of sparkling stars, comets and countless flickering candles that were hanging around and lighting up the room with their dim orange flames, everything seemed much more beautiful than the sky outside. A small smile appeared to my face when I remembered how she had convinced me to do this. It was a few years after she'd graduated and she was missing Hogwarts terribly. She'd suggested that we should do this and who was I to decline her wonderful offer? Everything that reminded me of her, would have its stunning effect to make me feel better.
Especially everything from that particular day when I saw her for the first time in the said place at Hogwarts...
I let my eyes close for a short while as I imagined her gleaming eyes, careless laughs and beautiful smiles. She would flash me one of those disarming smiles of hers and every single time my whole world would come crashing down in the best way possible.
Oh, how she could melt my heart with her blushed cheeks whenever she caught me staring at her.
She wasn't just a woman, she was an angel.
And luckily, she was mine.
I calmed down as the thoughts crossed my mind, still not daring to move one bit and look at her. I was being overly sensitive about my actions, but it was better this way. I wouldn't be able to stop myself from touching and feeling her warm body if ever let my eyes drift to her delicate figure, especially now that she was in peace.
But I needed to admit something to myself. For the millionth time.
I would've gone crazy if she wasn't there sleeping peacefully next to me right now. Life was hopeless and empty whenever she wasn't around. I would never forget the days she stood by my side and gave me strength in all the though and sad times when we were together. I fell for her right under that bewitched ceiling of the Great Hall and I fell even harder everyday after.
She was more bewitching than anything I'd ever seen.
Speaking of her... As if my thoughts had floated in the air, I suddenly felt slight shifting in bed along with a sound that seemed more like a low moan than a soft snore. I tore my gaze away from the ceiling, more alarmed than usual with my heightened senses.
Had I woken my lady up without even noticing?
I slowly tilted my head to look at her direction. Her back was on me, her stomach facing the bed, so I couldn't be sure, but she seemed to be still asleep. The glimmering light of those lit candles had illuminated her bare arms in a soft shade of orange, creating a godlike view.
Not trusting my judgment, I stayed like that, keeping an eye on her in case anything different happened.
A few minutes passed until I heard the same low sounds again. I focused more on her and noticed that her chest was heaving up and down slightly faster than I remembered moments ago. At first I thought it was only due to the lack of sleep and I was probably imagining things, but then I strained my ears. Her heart was beating faster than normal.
A thought crossed my mind, but I had to make sure.
I carefully propped myself up to one elbow and got closer to her. With a closer look, I recognized that now she was clutching the sheets firmly, whining some muffled words into the pillow.
I only figured the words Please and Let me leaving her mouth, the rest were unrecognizable.
She was dreaming.
I was doubting whether to wake her up or wait for her to wake up by herself when she began to squirm a bit and her hips rolled on the bed. It was a hardly noticeable movement, but I got worried. I knew that kind of dream.
I called her name a few times in a low tone, trying not to scare her. It was barely audible to my own ears, so I raised my voice a little to whisper.
"Y/N, baby... wake up love. Y/N... sweetheart." I rubbed her arm soothingly and finally her eyes flew open with a low yelp. She blinked a few times, getting adjusted to her surroundings. She was in a daze, letting her eyes roam around the dimly lit room while she caught her breath.
I patiently waited for her to come back to reality.
"Shh, I'm here." I reassured, planting a kiss on her shoulder. She was flustered and a hint of frustration was prominent in her face when she rolled in bed to face me.
Her eyes were still sleepy as she met my gaze. A thin sheen of sweat had covered her forehead. She was a hot mess, I noted.
Oh, shut up.
Deciding that she needed some water, I was about to get out of the bed to bring a glass when she grabbed my hand and stopped me.
"No, please."
Her shaky voice warned me that she was in the brink of crying. I obliged and went back to my previous position, holding her close.
Two or three minutes passed in silence until I decided to speak up and ease the tension.
"You were having a dream, right?" I asked with a soft smile, knowing the answer very well myself. She mumbled a quick yes, still squirming under me. Her breathing was near to normal by now, but her body... No. I kept on rubbing her arm.
"What's got my girl so tensed up then?"
"Nothing. Sor- sorry if I disturbed you." She waved it off nervously and tried to face away from me by burying her head in the pillow, but I stopped her, attempting to maintain the eye contact. She avoided my gaze. It didn't go unnoticed by me when she pushed her legs together to make some friction.
"Oh sweetheart, look at me." I pled in a gentle voice and it worked.
"Was that a wet dream?"
Her innocent face went red with that question. She nodded slowly, her fingers fumbling with the edge of the sheet that was covering her.
"Don't get shy with me, Y/N," I brushed strands of loose hair behind her ear and gently caressed her flushed cheek to make her look at me as I continued. "Did it turn you on?"
She nodded again, biting her bottom lip. That sight was enough to drive me crazy. My hand slowly traveled down, tracing over her neck and on her chest. She let out a gasp and looked down for a mere moment when I let my hand slide under her shirt to caress and massage the warm skin of her belly.
"Well what happened there? I'd like to know the details." I kindly told her to explain.
I could easily read her mind, but I didn't want her to keep it in. Swallowing the feelings was never a healthy idea. I wanted her to let it all out.
"I, oh- We were in the kitchen. On the counter, but you... But you-"
"Me what?" I nodded, encouraging her to continue. My hand went further down to her thighs, causing her to shiver and stammer.
"You were telling me that... That I'm a bad girl. You weren't letting me cu- cum. But I'm a good girl. Please tell me that I'm your good girl."
"Oh, bad bad Remus." I shook my head and chuckled when she pouted her lips, "Of course you're my good girl. Guess I'll have to show you how good you are for daddy."
My fingers had barely reached her panties when she instinctively closed her legs together, still tensed and nervous from the harsh dream.
"Please don't tease or I'll cry." She whimpered and her hand found its way to my hair, her breathing quickening again.
"I won't. Just relax, baby."
She was hesitant at first, but then softened at my words and slowly parted her legs.
"Yeah. Just like that."
I praised and let my hand slip under her panties to her dripping core, eliciting a rather loud and needy moan from her. I was in awe of how wet and riled up she was already.
All with just dreaming of me.
I started off with slow circles and then leaned forward to press my lips to hers, swallowing her lustful moans in deep kisses. Her mouth fell open and her back arched desperately as the sweet sensation took over her body. She let me deepen the kiss and a strangled whine left her throat when I nibbled on her bottom lip.
I was delighted that the ticking of clock wasn't the only sound to break the silence of the room. How I had managed to control myself and be patient was a big question.
The smell of her arousal was calling me to go down and taste her, but somehow I felt the need to keep eye contact. It was necessary. I wanted to see the faces she was making under my touch and, I wanted to see that last relieved look on her pretty face.
I didn't fancy the frustrated look she was still holding.
I patiently kept on rubbing her clit with the pace she always liked. Her eyes softened with each passing minute and she began to enjoy it fully. She didn't worry about this being another unfinished dream.
By now, I'd completely forgotten about how overwhelming tonight was supposed to be with my condition. Making her feel better was a top priority.
"Feels good?"
"Mhmm. Don't stop daddy."
Oh. That word didn't need to sound so hot when it escaped her mouth. I moved the kiss to her jawline and down to her throat. I wasn't planning to stop.
Her legs started shaking and her moans got louder when I shoved two fingers inside her and slowly bumped in and out. Her warm exhales were fanning over my face and I wanted so badly to kiss her again and take in all those erotic moans and at the same time I just wanted be there to hear and watch that heavenly scene.
It was hard to choose.
I opted for the second one, and moved my fingers faster, sensing that she was close to her orgasm. "Cum for me, baby." I whispered in her ear and she obliged, throwing her head back as she clenched around my fingers and reached her peak. The sight of her coming undone and squirming with a single touch was doing things to me.
Girl, have some mercy on me.
She arched her back off the bed and her legs violently pressed together, stopping my hand from adding any more friction as waves of pleasure spread through her body. That was it. I pressed my lips on hers again, devouring that last finishing moan that had her shutting her eyes and seeing stars like she was floating in the sky.
The sight was angelic. Her legs slowly slackened and fell apart, indicating that she was coming down from her blissful high.
I carefully withdrew my hand and pulled back from the kiss to examine her. She was panting breathlessly, her heart beating faster than ever. The same orange shade of lit candles was shining down on her, illuminating her pretty face.
"You tasty little one." I looked into her tired and half closed eyes and licked up her juice from my fingers.
She bit her bottom lip and smiled weakly, ruffling my hair just how I liked it. She took my hand into her small delicate one to run her tongue all over the remaining cum.
I had to pull myself together and back my hand away before reaching out to do anything more to her and keep her up until the sun rised. She had enough for tonight.
After all, Moony hadn't behaved himself in her dream, so some punishment would do good.
"Better now?" I asked with a smile, kissing her forehead and pulling her into a hug. She snuggled closer to me and rested her head on my chest, her perfectly messy hair falling over her shoulders.
"Yeah...yeah Remmy." She hummed contentedly, her eyelids heavy with sleep.
She flashed me one more of those disarming smiles, and minutes later she fell asleep on my chest, like the real angel she was.
My angel.
More even... She wasn't just a woman or angel. She was more like a god. I corrected my previous thoughts.
The clock was still ticking steadily against the wall as I lay awake for the rest of the night, deep in my own thoughts. I stroked her hair soothingly. Tonight was more tolerable and beautiful than I thought...

We're flying above the clouds
So beautiful & clear
We're flying above the clouds
I can see happiness from here
This morning, you had found it scribbled over a page in your small diary while you were looking through your old stuff. It belonged to the breathtaking days of second wizarding war.
Those days... Horribly hard ones. Many would tell you there was no place for love in the war, but you weren't the one to really care about what others were saying if it had to limit you and your feelings.
What could you possibly do when Remus was far away in missions and you didn't have him by your side? Making up happy moments and imagining all the things you would do together after war was the only thing that kept you sane.
It didn't really matter if none of your imaginations didn't come true back then. As long as Remus was there too, you were happy with each of those dreams.
And flying with him was one of the options. You wrote it months ago, not knowing it would actually come true one day...
☾☾♡♡☾☾
Sunsets, porch swings, lovely whispers, quiet evenings and... Remus. A perfect fit for a peaceful day with him after so long.
Remus leaned over to cup your cheeks, giving your lips one of those slow and tender kisses that had the flavor of purple cotton candies. With a hue of orange, red and yellow tastes too.
A kiss that tasted like sunset.
Minutes after minutes passed in pure bliss until you had to pull back for air. He left two more kisses on each of your flushed cheeks and guided you to lay your head on his lap.
You hummed delightfully, letting your fingers draw lazy patterns on his thigh as the swing slowly moved back and forth.
The yard was covered with trees from different shapes and heights. Some of them had green leaves and some other were filled with golden and red leaves too, all swaying freely in the wind. You had decided to make it a tradition to never lose the chance of watching sunsets with Remus every weekend.
Just to make up for all the lost times in the past. All the times when you were so careless about this kind of magic that happened in the sky.
There was something about the sunsets that always kept you hooked. There were many many days when life had to keep you and Remus away from each other, whether it was at school when he was a teacher at Hogwarts or at the rough times leading to the war.
When you watched sunset, you felt that everything would be alright. No matter what both of you would go through, this time of the day never failed to give you the warmth you always sought, the colors you missed, the hope you lost and the faith you needed.
It reminded you of each other.
But today there was a problem. Autmn sunsets were barely cloudless.
Now the sun was beginning to dip down and fade behind the puffy grey clouds and all you could see was some colorful rays that managed to cut through the cracks between clouds and shine down on you.
"I have an idea. Wanna try it, love?"
He whispered fondly, catching your attention.
You lifted your head off his lap to look through his eyes. You were confused for a moment, but then realized what he meant when his broom landed next to the swing.
"Fly up the clouds with me?" He asked in a cheerful tone, extending his hands for you.
You nodded excitedly and jumped off the swing to take his hands, letting him lead the way as he made his way inside the cottage first. Strands of light brown hair fell messily over his face when he let go of you and turned to a corner near the fireplace.
You were about to ask him what was going on when he turned towards you just in time and you spotted the pair of sweaters in his hands. One smaller for you and the other one for him.
You felt butterflies in your stomach at how caring and lovely he always was. Everytime you would try to convince yourself that you couldn't love him more, he would do something like this and make you change your mind and love him even more.
He helped you pull on the comfy sweater and put on his too. Not wanting to miss the sunset, you stood on your tiptoes and gave him a quick peck and took his hand to make your way out of the house.
Just in time he pulled you back to him, locking you between his arms.
"Remu-"
He cut you off fleetly, giving you one long kiss. You rested your hand on his chest and let your other hand run through his hair as you kissed him back with the same amount of passion.
After a minute or so, he slowly pulled back and cupped your cheeks, smiling tenderly. "Good god, you're so gorgeous. Had to tell you that first."
"Sun has enough red hues right now. You don't need to make me blush Remus," You paused for a moment to brush the light brown strands away from his face. "Besides, you're very handsome yourself." You finished with a wink before dragging him out of the living room towards the front door where his broomstick was still next to the swing.
Remus then summoned his broom up and leapt onto it, waiting for you to sit behind him. You followed quickly and locked your hands around his stomach, holding him tightly. You let out a surprised squeak when he suddenly took off flying up, higher and higher above the ground.
Air rushed through your hair as you pressed your cheek to his back and looked down as everything -along with your cottage, trees and literally the whole town- got smaller and smaller.
You inhaled deeply, taking in the fresh air that mixed with his woodsy cologne and filled your lungs. It never failed to make you dizzy. You had to hold him tighter as he picked up the pace and moved a bit faster.
"You alright back there, y/n?" He asked (literally shouted for you to hear) from over his shoulder.
"Yes yes. Please slow down a bit Remus. You won't want me to fall off, do you?"
Wind was muffling your voice, but you hoped he would hear you.
"Of course not, love," Not so surprising, he didn't reduce his speed and instead, one of his hands was now on yours, caressing softly. "You can always hold me tighter you know... For safety keeping."
You were about to say something when your surroundings caught your attention. You were finally above the blanket of clouds. The scene in front of your eyes was fascinating and unbelievable.
"Oh my- Remus. It's so beautiful up here."
He eventually reduced the speed of his broom and stopped in midair, keeping you floating and watching the sunset. He mumbled something you didn't quite understand. "Still, it doesn't compare to your beauty."
From here, it wasn't just kisses that tasted like cotton candies. Even the clouds looked like massive pieces of cotton candy. You dipped your hand into them, trying vaguely to catch the mists between your fingers.
Tumblr media
"Wow. I could literally walk on these. They look so puffy."
"Yes," Remus said and did the same. You couldn't fully see his face from behind, but you recognized the excited smile in his voice. "But you're better off here. I can only imagine what happens if you step foot on a mass of white fog."
"You're right, Professor." You nuzzled into him as he let out a chuckle, muttering something to himself about your remark. You couldn't possibly hear it even if you'd strained your ears.
A while passed in silence. All those orange, yellow, red and pink rays started to gradually fade away.
You ran your hand up and down his chest and watched silently as the sun dropped down and disappeared, taking away all the warm colors with it. Shades of blue appeared in the sky, slowly getting darker and darker as Remus flew around again, both your feet touching the grey clouds as you spotted city lights that glittered from between the empty cracks of them.
It was devine.
He pointed the broom to different directions and set to fly down when he spotted a place down on the ground. It got more clear the closer he got to the spot. It was a hill filled with fresh grass that rippled through the night wind.
"That was amazing Remmy."
As soon your feet touched the ground, you leapt out of Remus' broom and jumped to his lap, wrapping your hands around his neck. You hugged him tightly. Both your cheeks cold from the flight. He slowly spun you around, giving you shivers as you felt his warm breath on your neck.
"Anything for the love of my life."
He then stopped and slowly put you back on your feet. Taking your hand in his, he walked a few steps and dropped down on the hill, leading you to lay down next to him. You intertwined your fingers with his and silently watched the dark sky.
You then noticed how the clouds gradually started to part ways and the starry sky came into view. There were countless stars all over the sky, all twinkling and winking at you from afar.
It was like each of them wanted to remind you something. You felt so lucky that you were here at the moment and your man was next you, full of peace. The rest of the world didn't matter. It was all because of love.
"It's all about love. It lifted us up here."
He nodded, gently caressing your knuckles with his thumb. "Undoubtedly. Right from the start, we knew it would be so hard. If it wasn't for love, we wouldn't have set out on this road together."
He was right, as always.
You rolled on your side and propped yourself up on your elbow, watching the sky's reflection from his eyes as you brushed some blades of grass off his hair.
"I love you, Remmy. I love you so much and I want to tell that to you thousand times a day." You said, thinking about all the distressing moments in the past that had stopped you from telling him how much you loved and adored this man with your whole heart.
You saw how his eyes sparkled at your confession. He brought your hand up to his face, giving it a gentle lingering kiss. "I love you too, my gorgeous, brave, lovely and unique girl."
You blushed and smiled shyly, resting your head back on the grass again.
More minutes passed in silence, and the more you gazed at the stars, the more memories started to play in your mind. From the days you saw Remus in your last year at Hogwarts and the midnight talks at his private chambers to the horrible days in The Order when you didn't have any idea where he was and how he was doing in those though missions.
"I think each of these twinkling starts resembles a part of our life, don't you think so?" You said, catching his attention with a chuckle.
"I was pretty much thinking the same," He pointed at a direction in the sky, causing you to follow his gaze and look up too. "Let's start with that one in the middle. What do you think it's about?"
"Umm," You thought for a few seconds and kept your gaze there before replying. "That star stands for all the pains we've been through."
He nodded thoughtfully, pointing his finger to a different direction and a different star. "That one's to remember all the tears you've cried and I've cried too."
"Truly. Oh look at there," You found a small one on the left side of sky. "That bright star on the left is for the times we came close to giving up."
"Amazingly enough, we didn't." Now it was his turn to roll to his side and look at you. "You know, those days were devastating. But... Each time I looked into your eyes, I could see forever in them. I never found anything to deny that. They held an endless source of energy, telling me everything's gonna be alright, Don't you think of losing faith, Remmy."
He got closer to you, sofly caressing your cheek. "Oh so that's why you would stare at me for so long in some of Order's meetings too until Kingsley or Moody had to practically drag you back to the conversation." You giggled, biting your lip. You could feel his warm breath on your face.
"That, along with many more occasions too. Can you close your eyes for me?"
You did and he leaned down to press delicate kisses on your eyelids, making you feel even more special to him.
Even after pulling back, he kept his stare on you, but he seemed lost in thoughts. It was like he was mesmerized, just looking fondly at you and every inch of your face and never wanting to look at anything else. He was wordlessly admiring and worshipping you, making you melt under his gaze.
If he could see how full of life his ocean eyes were the way you saw them. How each scar of his body screamed strength and bravery...
"I- um, There are many stars left to count." You blurted out, breaking his train of thoughts.
"Ye- yeah, right."
"There are three stars together over there," You mumbled, directing his attention to the chain of lights you'd just found. "One of them is for the holidays that were destroyed. And... the one in the middle can be for all the arguments, fights, scars and..."
"And what?" He asked curiously, squeezing your hand to encourage you to continue.
You tried, but it was hard to let the words out. All the days you'd spent without him were the worst parts of your life. Remus sensed your discomfort and pulled you to his chest, letting you straddle him and snuggle your head into his neck. "All the lonely days, I know. It'll never happen again."
A single tear fell from the corner of your eye.
"I say the last of those three stars goes to all the loved ones we lost." He continued, rubbing your back soothingly.
You lifted your head up at that, locking eyes with him. "They'll never really leave us."
"Never." He said, brushing loose strands of hair away from your face.
You just wanted to stay like that and stare at him forever. By the time he kept his gaze on you and talked again, you were sure that he felt the same.
"That one is the brightest of all. What do you think that is for?" He asked and you didn't need to double check to know which one he meant.
"For a bright future, full of love... With you."
You leaned down and crashed your lips to his, smiling between the kisses when his hand snaked around your neck to keep you there. He kissed you sofly and slowly at first, then with more passion and need. Your tongues danced with each other eagerly.
If air wasn't necessary, you would keep kissing and staying tangled up with each other all night long, right there, until you could see the sunrise too. You felt the happiest you've ever been.
"With you." He whispered breathlessly, pulling you for another kiss that still tasted like purple cotton candies...
We're flying above the clouds
I can see happiness from here...

Lupin's pov:
Finally it's 1:20 am.
Glancing down at my wrist watch, I let out a relieved breath and stretch my neck to lessen the tingling pain in my muscles. 40 more minutes of patrolling and I'll be able to pass it on to Severus and catch up on some sleep...
All I had done yesterday was taking a short snooze after I had finished grading exams of second years. Not exactly grading though. I don't even remember keeping my whole focus on any of those papers.
That's a shame.
I shake my head and slow down my pace as I get closer to darker parts of the castle.
Back to the exams, I remember that my eyes could read the words, but my mind had an excuse to be somewhere else and well... Think about someone else. To be honest, I didn't mind. Tomorrow is Saturday, so the tests can wait for one more day.
The silvery moonlight is illuminating the cold floor as the sound of my steps echos through the deserted corridors. I should consider that It's not an excellent idea to read my favorite book while I have to do a midnight stroll around the castle to make sure everything is settled safely.
But at least it gives me a reason to stop myself from constantly thinking about her.
Fortunately, first night hasn't been eventful and long stone-flagged passages that lead to different directions are all empty. At least until now. There's no sign of dementors trying to suck out someone's soul or a murderer attempting to get inside the dorms or even some students breaking the rules and sneaking out after curfew. The only other sounds come from wandering ghosts and noisy snores of portraits as I pass by them.
Speaking of students, I haven't been able to see her properly for so long by now. She's always occupied with endless essays or studying for exams. Other than our usual classes, I don't see her around like before. She's been acting weird recently and I don't know why.
At first, I thought it was only in my class, so I vaguely asked some questions from some other teachers about her recent grades and appearance in their classes. They had mentioned the sudden change too.
She's a bright witch and it's worrying me so much to see her like that.
Besides, I miss her.
I miss her smile, I miss her voice, I miss-
'Oh shut it Remus. Turn to next page.'
Thank god I haven't quit the habit of reading or else I would go insane from the amount of thoughts I'm carrying around. I've tried countless times to banish the image of her out of my mind, but all those efforts are proved to be useless.
Does she know I fancy her? Does she need to know I can't stop thinking about her and the way her face could glow with a smile whenever our eyes meet? She's really attractive, so much that it has to be considered illegal.
I chuckle to myself and look around as if I'm being watched or something.
1:30 am
30 minutes left.
No matter what classes I teach, 1st years or 2nd years, 5th years or 6th years. All of them are getting along with my lessons very well, but that can't satisfy me. This certain 7th year girl can occupy all the spaces in my head and shoot all the other thoughts out. I'm not complaining.
But there's a problem.
Except for those occasional smiles and occasional talks, she's so reserved and keeps to herself most of the time. I desperately want to know how she feels about my classes, about my teaching style, about me, about the ways I want to hold her, about the things I want to do with her...
'Now you really need to focus on this page and finish your first night safely.'
My inner sane voice warns me again, but let's be honest. The coast is clear, I'm nearly finished with scanning all the school for the 3rd time by now and I don't feel like reading anymore.
And, nothing is more endearing than her.
One more problem. Why doesn't she raise her hand in class every time I ask a question? I'm sure she knows all the answers, but I can't just ignore all the raised hands of her classmates and say "Miss y/l/n, would you mind answering this?"
It would give too much away.
God, I like her voice.
I huff in annoyance. I'll certainly lose my mind by the end of the year. These narrow empty corridors look like a perfect place to sit and write a book about the ways a person can go insane and walk straight to hell.
If I have to go to hell for kissing her, I will.
When did I posses the right to have such a romantic yet dirty mind? How? Alright. Enough of that. I rub my eyes to stay awake and finally turn to next page. My bed seems too far from where I'm walking.
'Just 2 more corridors and you'll be able get some sleep. FOCUS ON THAT.'
1:35 am
I check the next corridor quickly and approach the last one. The one that is (fortunately) the closest to my chambers. Glancing briefly, I turn on my heels to make a leave, but a shadow cast in the corner near to one of the windows catches my attention.
Tumblr media
I blink a couple of times to make sure I'm not imagining things. The shadow's still there and its shape isn't like a dementor's shadow. It must be a human then.
I slowly pull out my wand. There's no sign of Snape yet, so this better be handled before he arrives.
Taking a quick look at each side of the main corridor, I close the book in my hand and carefully make my way towards the shadow, trying to be as silent as possible to not scare the person away.
My gaze falls on the ground near the windowsill. A bag is left there, followed by robes. So it's a student. I take in a sharp breath and pick up my pace. Who should be this reckless and careless to stay out at such dangerous times?
Another deep breath, I get a clearer view now. It's a familiar perfume. Y/n? Really?
Yeah, I can recognize the scent of her perfume too.
She's curled up on the edge of the dusty window with her hands hugging her knees, staring outside the yards of Hogwarts. Her back is turned to me.
What's she doing here? I get even more worried.
She's not the the type to break rules, even though she's given me a few of those looks and winks in the class, I don't think this is something to let pass easily. Something must be terribly wrong.
I put the wand back in my pocket and try to start off as professional as possible. Her mere presence has me already speechless. "You know very well that it's past curfew, so what's brought you here, miss y/l/n?"
Her shoulders tense a bit. She's taken aback for a moment, but doesn't move anyway as she replies sarcastically.
"Oh professor, you caught me. I wonder how many days of detention I deserve now."
'Detention? Seems so tempting... Oh stop it. The situation is much worse than what you think.'
"Countless days, if you ignore my question again," I clear my throat before continuing in a more friendly tone. "Having a date with dementors is the last reason I can think of after seeing you here. I can't imagine how dangerous it would be. If there's a problem, you can tell me."
She shrugs, "Nothing to say."
I don't like these short answers. I don't like seeing her sad.
I bend down to pick and dust off her robes. Keeping it in one hand, I lean against the nearest wall and let my eyes close for a moment before directing my gaze towards her.
She has a puzzled look painted on her face. Even a little distressed, depressed and on the edge.
"You haven't been your usual self these past few days."
"Does it matter?"
My heart sinks at the shaky tone of her voice. It takes me longer to form an answer.
"Of course it does," Words leave my mouth in a low whisper. I doubt if she hears them. I don't want to make her feel uncomfortable. "It always matters. You can trust me with everything, y/n."
'Oh, did you just... How did it go from y/l/n to y/n? You need to explain.' I scold myself and a mental battle begins, but she doesn't even seem to notice it.
She lifts her head for a moment, indicating that she heard all of that. I've felt nervous around her countless times. It's not new.
I was constantly afraid of forgetting the topic I was teaching if I looked at her. I was afraid of choking on my drink or food if she looked at me at the Great Hall and the horrible thing was that.... It happened once. She was perfect and it made me nervous.
I wait and wait until her voice breaks my train of thoughts. I have to take a few steps to stand closer to her to hear her words clearly.
"Well, Have you... Have yoy ever felt like a misfit? Or an outcast? It's like everything inside me suddenly feels dark and twisted and I don't know why. I just want to be by myself and find a way to change it, but I don't know how. It's hard to explain."
So that's the reason behind all her weird behaviour?
Of course I've felt it. Getting a werewolf bite at the age of 5 and having to live with a furry problem since then. Having no friends for almost 6 years until I came to Hogwarts. Losing all those friends after 7 years and turning back to my cage. I knew how it felt to be an outcast. I knew that. I was a misfit right from the start.
Right now, she doesn't need to know any of that.
"I guess the extent is different, but we all experience that in our lives. It's completely valid to feel everything you're feeling right now. Just know that you won't feel like this forever. About changing. If you want to change yourself to fit in the group, don't do that. If your heart wants a change, then do it. It's your life. Your feelings. Your choice."
I run a hand through my hair, watching her expression before I finish, "It's okay to be different. You should be so lucky to be a misfit. It makes you unique. Life wouldn't be interesting if all the people were the same."
There's a long pause as she lets the words sink in.
I stand by her side and place my book and her robes beside her wand. Following her gaze, I look out the window for a minute until she points at somewhere in the distance, right where those nasty creatures are floating in the air.
"You know what? I don't have a date with dementors, but It's like there's something like a dementor inside my head, showing up occasionally to feed on every single thing that makes me happy and keeps me sane. I guess it's the reason why It suddenly feels like I don't belong here any more. It makes me awkward. I can't figure out what the right thing to say is. I don't understand what to wear or how. It suddenly becomes weird and hard."
"You very well know how to repel a dementor. Right?"
"I do..." She grabs her wand, lazily flicking it in the air as she chuckles. "That famous Expecto patronum."
I nod with a smile. "It's the same with the dementor in your mind. Except, all you need is to learn that you have as much reason to be proud of yourself as anyone else, even more." I emphasize on the last part, "This way, that nasty dementor won't be able to affect you anymore. And if right the world is unable to appreciate and understand your uniqueness, you should know that you're doing absolutely amazing."
She looks up to meet my gaze, her eyes are glistening with tears.
"You're right, professor, but... But it's easier said than done."
It honestly is.
I notice that she's pursing her lips tightly together to hold back. That's wrong and unhealthy. It only fuels the called dementors inside her head. It's okay to let it all out.
These past few years I had tried to get over all those feelings and hide them deep inside my chest, but It's hard to bury a feeling when you've never let it out. It just sits silently in a corner and one day the walls start cracking down, letting the flood of emotions run through your veins and remind you of everything.
I don't want her to keep it all in.
"You can call me Remus when we're alone. I don't want to sound wise, but I know exactly how you're feeling now."
She doesn't need to know about any of my past and all I can think of is how much I hate it for her to be sad and feel an ounce of what I used to feel when I was in the same situation, so I decide to do what I needed the most at those lonely nights.
That's the point. Lonely nights. Warm hugs.
I approach her and carefully take her cold hand in mine, outstretching my other hand to invite her into a hug. No words need to be said.
That's like a necessary friction to free up the tears from her eyes. I know how high and overwhelming those emotions are. She doesn't reject the invitation and last thing I see before she wraps her arms around me and falls into my embrace is her wet cheeks. She won't feel like this forever.
Her shoulders start shaking as she sobs silently but uncontrollably into my chest and I have a hard time containing control over myself.
I fight back the old tears from gathering in my own eyes and hug her tighter as I rub her back to soothe the building tension in her body.
Everything I needed, but couldn't have.
A single tear trickles down my face when she snuggles even closer to me and clutches my cardigan more firmly. It feels refreshing to be able to keep her safe.
I tilt my head and inhale deeply as I rest my cheek on her soft hair. I close my eyes and lose track of time. Minutes pass in silence. 5? 10 or maybe 15 minutes? I don't care. I just want it to last forever.
Her shoulders relax slightly, making me less nervous. She has probably stopped crying by now.
"Don't look at me when I pull back, okay? I'm ugly, especially after crying." She mumbles quietly in my chest.
This takes me by surprise. See who's saying that! I wonder where all these doubts are coming from.
"Pardon?"
She slowly pulls back, looking at the slightly damp patch on my cardigan caused by her sobs. Her expression is unreadable. Her eyes are slightly red and puffy, but if anything, she's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen.
"I said I'm ugly."
I can't help but frown at that. "And I'm pregnant."
She looks at me confusedly.
"What?"
I let my eyes widen a bit to pretend that I don't know what's going on. "Wait. I think that we were supposed to tell lies."
"Come on." She rolls her eyes and blushes, looking away.
Her hands slowly drop and she steps back to lean against the wall, folding her arms defensively.
I take her chin between my fingers, turning her to look at me again.
I can't help but let my fingers caress the soft skin of her cheek. Tears have stained her angelic face, and... And the burning sensation of her skin is playing dangerous games with my heart. "I mean it."
She lets out a soft chuckle, dragging me closer to insanity. "What? That you're pregnant?"
I lower my head to be eye level with her. "No, little petal."
Then an idea pops in my mind. I stop briefly to dig my hand in the pocket of my robes to search for something. Hopefully, I had picked a chocolate bar before leaving my office.
Breaking it into a large piece, I offer it to her with a hopeful smile.
"Here, eat this while I talk. You'll feel better. I promise."
Her confused gaze flickers between the piece and me. She gives a questioning look.
"It's alright. It's just chocolate."
A faint smile blooms on her lips, but it soon fades away. She finally reaches to take it. I shake my head, refusing to pass it to her.
"No. Open your mouth. Wanna make sure you eat it." I blurt out before even thinking twice. There's no taking back now, but I'm glad I said it.
'Well, that was brave.'
She accepts it and even though I have a hard time to stop myself from watching her lips as she nibbles at the chocolate, I try to focus on what I have to say.
"You should see how adorable you are when you're focused and determined on your work. You should see it when you smile or laugh wholeheartedly or when you start daydreaming and free yourself from this world. y/n, You're so beautiful, gorgeous and absolutely intelligent. I mean it with my heart."
'And I crave all those moments.'
Her warm breath fans over my face as she finishes the chocolate. "Have you noticed all of that?"
It's too soon to admit it, but I like her even more than what I imagined, so I nod a few times, truthfully. I admit it.
I maintain the eye contact, wanting her to dig deep inside and see the truth for herself. I'm so close to her face that I wonder if she can see her reflection in mine? The stars that tangle together and dance in her eyes have me mesmerized and frozen in the place. I shouldn't feel like that.
I should pull back and be even concerned about the way I'm thinking about her and how desperate I feel right now to kiss those soft lips. My gaze falls down on her mouth, an invisible force pushes me even closer.
She doesn't pull back to walk away. It gives me hope. So those smiles and winks meant something.
I inhale deeply and god, her perfume has filled the air, encouraging me to do what I'm about to do. I'll end up in hell for doing that. But she's so intoxicating. She's heaven.
I want her.
She feels more courageous as her hand comes up to trace the scars on my face. She finally replies, "You're very handsome yourself."
I bring a hand to cup her cheek and my heart gives a thud when she closes her eyes and leans into the touch. I never claimed to be strong. And god, does she make me weak.
"I'm being honest. I want to kiss you."
"Do it then." She whispers and with that, I wrap my other hand around her waist and lean down to place a kiss on the side of her neck up to her jawline. I find a pulse point and gently suck on it, enjoying the way a low moan escapes her.
Pulling back a bit, I watch as her mouth parts slightly and the sight drives me crazy.
I let my hand sneak around the the back of her neck. Locking my gaze with hers, I hope I've heard her correctly because it's impossible to hold back any longer.
Her small nod is all i need to go straight in and press my lips on top of hers. It's much softer than I imagined. Her bottom lip trembles between mine when I give it a light nibble.
I shortly pull back to test if everything's alright and I haven't made her uncomfortable. Relief washes over my whole being when she flashes me a shy but disarming smile and buries her fingers in my hair, ruffling it a bit.
I catch sight of her wet lips and the next second I'm kissing her again. This time she kisses back with more certainty and passion, leaving both of us panting when we pull back.
Tumblr media
"I've been waiting for so long to do that."
Her cheeks are bright red now. I like it when she blushes. For me.
"Same. I mean.. I liked it. Oh I, I should... leave."
I smile at the way she stumbles with words. She bends down to pick her bag as I glance at my watch again.
1:55 am
I grab her hand, stopping her from moving any further. "There's a high chance that you'll encounter Filch or Snape on your way back to your dorm. I guess we both know that it won't end up without severe consequences."
She tucks a strand of hair behind her ear, appearing nervous. "Oh right, yeah. Last thing I want is to have months of detention with him."
"So you, er, you can spend the night in my chambers. I won't mind. We can talk more and I believe tea is ready by now. Take a sip and you'll fall in love with them."
'And with the tea maker.'
"Really?"
"Of course," I point at end of the way and hand her the wand and her robes. "Walk down until you reach the end of this corridor and then turn right. It leads to the back door of my quarters. Get in and I'll be there soon. Alright?"
'Damn. Keep your calm. You'll have to keep her safe.'
"Thank you," She slings the bag over her shoulder and her free hand comes up to play with my tie, making my heart go crazy all over again as she stands on her tiptoes to kiss my cheek. "Remus."
With a sweet smile, she turns and begins to walk in the direction I told her.
I stand there transfixed, touching my cheek to make sure all of that was real and not one of those midnight dreams when I could once again sit in my chair with a stack of unmarked papers in my hand collecting dust as dreamt of her.
She doesn't wait for an answer and disappears through the darkness at the end of corridor, her footsteps receding into the distance.
Was it all real? Like... really really real? I smile sheepishly. She kissed me. I kissed her!
My gaze mindlessly wanders around the place, the yards, the trees, the sky, the windowsill, right where she was sitting minutes ago.
I'm sure even the moon envies her beauty.
As I fix my eyes on the half moon, the only thought on my mind is that if I can be so lucky to witness one more of those rare scenes and stay up until tomorrow to tell her how beautiful and ethereal she looked in sleep?
"I'll do anything for you, and more." I whisper to myself, sighing in relief at the distant sound of door creaking open and closed.
It doesn't take long for the momentary silence to be replaced with heavy and loud footsteps coming closer from behind me, the exact opposite direction of where I sent her.
He has a habit of ruining the mood, but fortunately, his voice confirms that it was all real.
"Lupin? Already missing the full moon?..."

A familiar scent mixes with the air and you don't need to guess who is hugging you now. Feeling safe and protected for the first time in weeks, You let out a breath you didn't know you were holding.
Remus rests his chin on your shoulder and you feel how his chest slowly heaves up and down with every breath. It's completely different from what you were expecting.
His heart is beating calmly. He seems calm...
"It's a bit cold. Don't want our baby to sneeze down here, do we?" He whispers softly in your ear and his warm breath tickles your skin.
'Our baby. Our baby sneezing. Does a baby sneeze in belly? Why should he be so cute?'
Wordlessly, He brushes your hair aside to give him more access as he leans down to kiss the nape of your neck. His other hand slides under your sweater and his fingers begin to trace delicate patterns over your belly.
The tenderness causes you to part your lips and your face heats up at the sensation.
A few minutes pass in pure bliss. Then he leaves a kiss on your hair and pulls you closer to him, letting you rest your head back on his chest and revel in the closeness and the warmth of his body.
Maybe there won't be an argument.
All the horrible thoughts leave your mind.
You slowly turn on your seat and put your arms around his waist to snuggle into him. Pressing your head on his chest, you listen to his heartbeat as he strokes your hair and speaks.
"I love how good events seem to happen on rainy days for us."
You pull back to finally look into his eyes. "Good event? I thought you hate me."
A soft smile tugs at his lips. "I could never." He tucks a strand of hair behind your ear and gently caresses your tear-stained cheek before continuing, "Do you remember that night in the Astronomy Tower?"
Of course you remember it all too well, so you nod. "Clearly."
"Close your eyes. Let me take you there."
You do as he says and close your eyes. A moment later everything around you starts changing. It's like he has taken you back to that particular night from 2 years ago.
It's like a vivid memory.
It's dark, silent and late in the night. Everybody at Hogwarts seems to be asleep by now. You and Remus are still awake.
The sky is raining heavily, but neither of you cares. He's looking at somewhere in the distance. Wet hair is sticking to his forehead and both of you are drenched from head to toe. You're standing a few steps away from Remus, waiting for him to say something. Anything.
He finally looks at you from over his shoulder, his voice breaking the silence.
"y/n, you know that there are a million reasons you shouldn't be here and we shouldn't be together."
"Yes," you pause and search for right words to convince him. "and I can give you a million more reasons why I should be here."
He doesn't respond. His lips form a thin line as he looks away.
You feel his hesitation and get closer to him, making him turn around to face you. "Remus, I can't imagine someone else."
He runs a hand through his soaked hair, not breaking the eye contact. "But... But you can belong to anyone you want. You can stand next to anyone you want. Why here? Why me? Why next to me?"
"Because my favorite place in all the world is next to you." You confess truthfully and wrap your arms around his neck, feeling how his shoulders relax as he pulls you closer.
His warm eyes light up in the coldness of the night and a sweet smile plays across his face. You think that it's the most adorable thing you've ever seen.
"Are you sure? Do you want to grow old with me?"
"I've never been so sure before this. All I want is to belong to you and grow old with you."
He searches your eyes for a sign of regret, but finds nothing. "Damn the world, I love you y/n"
"I love you more." You finish and he leans down to capture your lips in a soft long kiss.
The feeling of Remus' lips on yours brings you back to the moment. He kisses you softly just like that memory and pulls back after a short moment.
"See? Since then, you've given this heart a million reasons to love you. No place is left for hate. You knew everything about me and still, you wanted to be with me. Still, I found you there next to me. I'll never let go."
Your eyes fly open. "I- I just didn't want you to find out like this. Aren't you angry or upset?"
"Not anymore. Girl, should I be even upset or angry at you? You're adding someone as beautiful as yourself to our lil family. I couldn't be happier. And about the earlier, I think I just lost it when I saw your teary eyes. You know how much I hate it when you cry,"
Your heart starts racing and relief washes over you at Remus' words.
So he's alright with everything. It causes you to grin happily.
He continues in a lower tone, like he's talking to himself as he brushes his thumb over your lips. "Well, not gonna lie. I sometimes like it...but," He clears his throat, "most of the times I don't."
Realizing what he means with that, you bite your lip and fake a frown, looking down at your belly to talk with the baby as you tap your finger on Remus' chest.
"Such a naughty daddy, you've got."
A proud smile finds its way to his face as he looks down at your belly. "Anyway, mummy loves me like that." He sticks his tongue out and makes a funny face, making you burst into a laugh as he laughs along.
The sound of your happiness mixes with each other and echoes in the room. You remind yourself that his laugh is the best sound you've ever heard.
"Come here." He says between the laughs and easily picks your body up in his arms, spinning you around as you lock your legs around his waist to keep your balance.
Your laughs slowly die down and he gently places you down on your feet. His hand rubs your back lightly as he talks in a more serious tone.
"y/n, I should actually thank you for taking a chance on me. I know it's not easy to raise a baby in these hard times, but I hope to be worth it."
"Anything for you, my moony," You stand on tiptoe and kiss him. "You are worth the world."
His cheeks turn a light shade of red. He's blushing.
"As you do. Now now, let me close the window before my babies get sick."
He lets go and steps aside to do so.
'His babies.'
You turn your back on him. The blanket slips down from your shoulders, falling on the floor. "Am I your baby too?"
Finally finishing with the window, he responds sweely.
"Of course. You'll always be my baby. My lovely gorgeous baby girl."
"Your babies want kiss, daddy." You make sure to add extra emphasis on the last word.
He moves from your back to stand in front of you, bringing a hand up to lift your chin. "Is that so?"
His blue eyes sparkle mischievously as you look into them and nod excitedly.
With that, you feel his arm around your knees and a second later, he lifts you up in bridal style, easily carrying you to the nearest bed as you giggle.
He hovers on top of you and pins your hands above your head, not letting you move as he starts planting kisses on each of your cheeks, your jawline and then finally your lips. Your lips move in sync with each other and you allow him to deepen the kiss to let your tongues dance together.
Nothing else matters in the world.
Placing one last kiss on the tip of your nose, he lets go of your hands and kisses a line down your body. Then his hands roll your sweater up enough to give him access and he begins to kiss all over the small bump in your belly, making you sigh contentedly.
Pulling back, he smiles and points a finger at your belly, mumbling something to the small creature who's sleeping there. (only if you and Remus stop making too much noise.)
"But, if your mama calls me that one more time, we might end up having more than a kiss."
'Oh. He means DADDY.'
Your stomach begins to fill with butterflies. You bite your lip innocently.
"Don't give me butterflies."
He lets out a chuckle and traces heart-shaped patterns on your belly. "Oh why not? There's someone here who would like to sometimes play with them."
'Play with butterflies? Why should he be this sweet?'
A yawn involuntarily escapes your mouth. "I wanna sleep."
He moves to sit beside you on the bed. "Okay love. Take a short nap, but don't think I've forgotten about you not eating anything at dinner. You should take more care of yourself."
Not breaking the eye contact, he reaches a hand out in the direction of window and a moment later the blanket (which was left on the floor) lands on his hand.
'Probably accio blanket, wandlessly.'
After making sure that it's covering your whole body perfectly, he begins to stand up, making you pout at the sudden coldness and loss of touch. You grasp his hand to stop him from moving away.
His eyes are begging to get some sleep too.
"Stay, please."
He raises a brow, "Sure?"
You nod quickly while struggling to stifle another yawn, causing him to let out a hearty chuckle as he climbs up the bed and hugs you from behind.
Tumblr media
You close your eyes and try to sleep and let him rest too, but one more question keeps bugging your mind, so you shift a bit to see if he's still awake.
The movement causes him to tighten his arm around your body.
"Remus?"
"Yes, love?" His voice indicates that he's slowly drifting off.
You hesitate for a moment, but finally ask. "Are you worried? You know?"
"Hmm, a bit, but let's just hope she'll be alright."
"She? You want a girl?" You question surprisedly.
His hand rubs your arm lovingly before sliding under your sweater to hug you again. "I mean, yeah. As gorgeous as you."
You feel him smiling with each world and another group of butterflies fill your stomach, but you sigh dramatically and put your hand on his. "Oh boy. Your dad is underestimating himself again."
"Boy, huh?"
"As handsome as you."
"You know what? Girl or boy, it doesn't differ. Just don't worry yourself about anything, love. I won't let anything wrong happen to you or anyone treat you badly as long as I'm here. You'll always belong here. Next to me."
"Next to you. I won't change it with the world."

Resting your chin on your hands, you shift uncomfortably in your seat and stare out the fogged up window of 12 Grimmauld place. Large dark clouds are slowly gathering in the sky and it won't be so long before it starts raining heavily.
Even the sky seems to miss Remus too.
If he was here next to you now, you would enjoy a silent afternoon and drink his favorite tea together while he held you in his arms.
But that's the problem. He's on a mission, again...
The book you've been trying to read is laid on your lap as your mind replays all your memories with him once more. From the first one that happened almost 2 years ago at Hogwarts until the most recent one...
There he's standing, right in front of you with with his bag packed.
You try to stop the tears from appearing in your eyes. "Remus, can't you stay a bit longer? I'll be so lonely here without you."
"Shh, don't you cry, y/n. Just a month and I'll be back very soon. It's not that hard for my strong girl." He smiles soothingly while his fingers gently stroke your cheek.
'His strong girl' Your heart flutters at that.
All you can do is to just keep on looking into his eyes as he does the same. He hasn't left yet, but you're already missing him.
"How can you look at someone and miss them at the same time?" You finally say after a long pause, wrapping your hands around his neck.
He pulls you closer to him, whispering softly, "This is what I'm asking myself whenever I look at you too."
"I love you."
"I love you more."
He leans down and finally closes the gap between your bodies, kissing you softly.
"Moony?" Sirius shouts from downstairs, eager to attend his first mission. It causes you to reluctantly pull away.
"Coming." Remus replies shortly before focusing back on you.
"Take care of yourself and don't stay cooped up here missing me. Go to the Weasley's if you want. Molly will be more than pleased to have you there."
With one last peck on your lips, he closes the door and leaves with Sirius.
That was the last conversation you had with Remus. You still remember how you spent every single minute after the moment he left.
5 minutes without him had you sobbing and feeling empty.
4 days without him had you feeling tired for no reason and sleeping longer than usual.
5 days without him had you not answering Molly's letters. She had invited you to The Burrow many times, but you weren't feeling good.
6 days without him had you having headache and becoming weepy.
You thought it was only because you were missing Remus.
10 days without him had you throwing up for the first time. Molly had sent another letter, but you were afraid of what was happening to you.
Two weeks without him had you taking a pregnancy test.
Two weeks and and five minutes without him had you sobbing at the plus sign on the test.
It was unbelievable, but you had to hide it from everyone.
Three weeks without him had you taking a short walk outside and coming back with a potion to control your morning sickness. Wearing oversized sweaters to hide your growing belly was a good idea too.
Remus would be back in a week, but you were afraid of his reaction. You hadn't even announced your relationship to others yet.
A few days later, Molly had decided to finally visit 12 Grimmauld place along with Hermione, Ginny, Ron and the twins. Harry would join once Sirius came back.
"I was just anxious about my Auror training sessions." was your reason for not replying to the woman's letters.
Being pregnant was supposed to be undeniably incredible and full of joy for you, but all you had felt about it was fear and worry.
Summer was coming to an end very soon and you weren't prepared for anything. All you had done since their arrival was to lock yourself in the room and overthink everything. The less they saw you, the better.
It wasn't easy and you had tried countless times to talk with someone. Ginny? Not a good idea. She was worried about Harry most of the time. Molly? Never. She was like a mother figure to you, but you had to wait for Remus. Boys? No. Hermione? Well, she always seemed to have suspicions about it...
"You alright?" She asks as she places her sleeping cat, Crookshanks, on her bed.
You nod, yawning as you carry a stack of books out of your trunk.
Her gaze follows you around the room. It makes you even more nervous.
"Are you sure? Your face looks so pale, and you've been unusually sleepy most of the time. If you want, I can tell Mrs. Weasley. Maybe she'll be able to help out."
"NO. NO HERMIONE." books nearly slip out of your hand and you uncontrollably raise your voice, but then compose yourself and continue.
"I, I mean... It's nothing important. I'm trying to get as much sleep as I can before starting training sessions. Yeah. That's it. You know how hard it is to become an Auror, especially at these times. I guess summertime sadness has gotten into me too."
That's not even a convincing reason for yourself. Like damn. Girl, aren't you sad whenever Remus isn't around?
"What's this for?" She points at the small potion bottle you've been drinking the past few days and brings it up to examine the liquid inside of it.
You feel the urge to snatch it out of her hand, but stop yourself from doing something stupid, "For my headaches."
"Alright." She puts it back on the nightstand and gives you a don't-try-i-don't-believe-you look at first, but then smiles gently and walks out of the room, leaving you with your thoughts about what to do with the new situation.
You snap out of your thoughts as someone knocks on the door. You notice the book on your lap has fallen on the floor and hurriedly reach down to pick it up. It's raining now.
Tumblr media
"Come in."
"y/n, dinner will be ready in 10 minutes." Hermione calls from the doorway.
You keep your gaze on the book, pretending to be focused on it.
"Uhm. I'll be downstairs once I finish this page."
From the corner of your eyes, you see some movements until she approaches you and sits on the ledge of the window. "You sure? You're holding it upside down."
"Oh right." you chuckle awkwardly, "It just fell down and I picked it right before you came in. I didn't notice."
'Embarrassing. Really embarrassing.'
She nods and stands up to leave the room, obviously not convinced with your reasons. When she reaches the door, she seems to remember something.
"y/n? I- oh never mind."
You close the book and finally look up at her curiously. "Say it already, Hermione."
She looks around the room for a few seconds before turning her gaze back on you.
"I just wanted to say that you... You two look so good together. I've seen the way you look at each other. You know you can talk to me whenever you want."
Your eyes widen and you stand up to make your way towards her.
"Wait, what do you mean? Who?" You ask surprisedly, although you already know the answer.
"You know what I mea-" She begins, but Fred and George suddenly show up on either side of you, causing you to gasp in shock. They just like apparating everywhere and freaking everyone out.
Not saying anything, they kiss your cheeks and take both your hands, dragging you out of the room without letting Hermione finish her sentence. Not to mention her words make you forget about drinking the potion before walking around Molly.
That's when the troubles begin...
"Mum is fuming." Ginny says from your side once you settle on a chair around the table. Hermione who was following shortly behind, finds a seat next to you and in front of Ron.
"Why?" You ask, trying to ignore the fact that a feeling of nausea is settling in your stomach at the smell of food all around the kitchen.
She shakes her head and motions towards the twins. "Another prank. Worse than before. Mum had to prepare dinner all over again."
You shrug and let your eyes wander around as you try to focus on anything else to forget about yourself. Fred and George are sitting across from you, chatting together and every few seconds glacing up at their mum. Horror is visible in both their expressions.
On the other side of the room, Molly looks like she's about to burst at any second. Poor woman hasn't seen Arthur for weeks now. It must be so stressful.
'Just make it out of here alive.' You think to yourself.
Ron who's sitting next to Fred, is hungry as always, but manages to sneak a few looks at Hermione to make her blush. The sight makes you smile.
It's all good and fun until a plate is placed on the table in front of you.
As soon as the strong smell of chicken hits your nostrils, another wave of nausea strikes, causing you to jump on your feet and race off to find the nearest toilet and throwing up in it.
Miserable. Today can't get worse.
But it can...
With an empty stomach and slightly sour throat, you lazily drag yourself out of the bathroom after 4 or 5 minutes and decide to skip the dinner to get some rest.
"Sorry Mrs. Weasley. I don't feel good tonight. I might just go and get some res-."
But what you hear stops you dead in the tracks and your mouth hangs open.
"She must be carrying a baby." Ginny says as a joke. She had seen you throwing up once in the morning, but the confused look on Molly's face says it's everything but a joke. You immediately recognize that displeased expression.
"True. I guess so too." Hermione replies in her own thoughts.
"WHAT?" Molly asks with slightly narrowed eyes. She probably wants to make sure she heard it right. You still stand there frozen.
The room falls in silence and everyone stares at Hermione. That's only when she realizes that others have heard her.
"Noth- nothing."
Molly puts the knife in her hand back on the plate and points at the exit door. "Boys, upstairs."
Ron groans with a full mouth "We're not finished yet mum-"
"Upstairs, NOW. Take your plates with you."
Your hands start getting cold and knees go weak for a moment. You can't understand if she's talking so loudly or your emotions are just running high.
"But," The twins want to protest, but she glares at them sharply, "Well right. Let's go then." They smile at you apologetically and stand up.
Eventually the three ginger boys give up and shuffle out, leaving you with their furious mum.
'You had to make it out alive.'
"y/n, can you sit here for a moment?" She calls for you in a stern voice, causing your heart to beat a thousand times faster.
You wearily drag your feet to the table and sit back on your chair, making sure to push the plate away so its smell doesn't take you back to the toilet again.
"Ginny, repeat yourself again."
"I was just joking." She shrugs it off.
Not getting an answer from her, the woman huffs and turns her focus back on you. You can feel how her eyes are boring into you. "y/n, dear, it's not true. Is it? Are you pregnant?"
You just look down and fiddle with your fingers, not daring to say anything, which confirms her suspicions.
The tone of her voice rises by each passing second. "In the middle of a war? Do you know how dangerous it is? Are you out of your mind?"
"Mum please leave her be." Ginny tries to sooth you as she wraps an arm around your shoulder. Hermione takes one of your hands in hers, squeezing it comfortingly.
Molly just ignores her daughter. "But who?"
You hopelessly bite the inside of your cheek to stop the tears from forming in your eyes. There's no way you can tell her about him.
'Keep your shit together. Don't cry. Don't cry.'
Just when you start thinking about different options, the situation gets even worse. You hear footsteps coming from the hallway outside the kitchen.
A chill runs down your spine when Remus' voice echoes in the doorway. Tears blur your vision and finally run down your cheeks as you stare at the two men getting closer while they talk together.
Both of them are drenched from the heavy rain.
"Not too bad for your first mission, padfoot."
Remus pulls his wand out of his robes when they reach the room. You immediately look down to hide your face from him, but Sirius has noticed it.
"That was a real nasty deatheater, I must admi- oh y/n? We know you missed us way too much, but there's no need to cry."
In a normal situation you would smile at him, but now you let out a sob.
He pulls out a chair and flops down on it while Remus wordlessly flicks his wand to dry up both of them. You can feel his eyes on you.
"What's happening here?" Sirius asks Hermione who is the nearest to him around the table.
Ginny stands up shortly to fill two plates since Molly isn't in her right mind now.
All you want is to find a way to get out of there, but your feet are just stuck to the ground.
"Well, y/n is having a baby."
Something falls down with a bang and you don't need to lift your head to see that it's Remus' wand. The words linger in the air, causing blood to rush to your face at the mention of your name.
Sirius leans forward, "Really? A baby chicken for dinner?"
Another failed joke.
"SIRIUS." Molly finally snaps, rising to her feet.
Remus stands there right behind Sirius. The shock has apparently robbed him off speech. Your heart sinks for him as your knees start shaking even more.
The long-haired man exchanges a few looks with Hermione.
One or two minutes pass in silence. Right when Molly opens her mouth to say something, Sirius begins to speak in a calm tone.
"Who's got you pregnant, y/n? Give us a name and we'll thank him lat-" He pauses for a moment, probably receiving a warning look from the ginger woman.
"I mean, we'll beat him up for you."
The girls giggle silently at his remark while Molly keeps dramatically moving her hands as she paces the room. Your head aches from looking down too much, but you don't dare to look at Remus. He probably hates you now.
Someone seems to sense your discomfort.
From the corner of your eyes, you spot a white handkerchief appearing from under the table and floating towards you until it lands on your lap.
A small note is enchanted on it which disappears right after you read it.
Tumblr media
You lift your head to see Sirius nodding and giving you a reassuring smile.
You wipe your cheeks with it and return the smile weakly as more tears brim in your eyes. This time happy ones. When did he do that? That's just a small note, but it warms your heart a bit. It means he's fine with what has happened and your relationship with Remus. He hadn't said anything up until now, but it's the best timing.
He understands Remus is a bit shocked about the news and you need support right now. Anyway, the way Remus is gripping the frame of Sirius' chair and his knuckles have gone white doesn't go unnoticed by you.
The furious woman snaps again, drawing everyone's attention back to herself "Who in the hell has got you pregnant?"
Sirius rolls his eyes, "Careful Molly. Give her a rest."
Your mind comes up with different answers. If Remus doesn't want to say something, you'll have to fake it.
Everyone is so focused on the topic that they don't ask why in the hell he isn't moving at all. He's just staring at somewhere in the space. Finally deciding that she's not going to give up, you begin, "Some guy at-" but someone cuts you off.
"I did." Says Remus in a low tone. His voice is warningly calm.
Your heart skip a beat.
"Naughty moony. Finally." Sirius mumbles quietly with a sly grin on his face as he leans back in his chair, taking a sip from his drink as he watches the shocked woman on the other side of the table.
She watches Remus in bewilderment. "What?"
"I DID. you heard it right."
Sirius begins to stand up to probably hug him, but decides against it. No congratulations for now. Remus can be so unpredictable sometimes.
"But... You can't be serious?"
Sirius puts a hand on his heart, pretending to be hurt by what she's just said. "Took you too long to figure it out. He definitely isn't me. I'm Sirius. He's Remus."
His attempts to make a joke fail again. Remus looks like he's about to punch someone or break something now.
Remus ignores him entirely and snaps back at Molly as he slams a fist on the table.
It gives you a sudden jolt even though you're not seeing him. He was literally silent before starting a storm.
His voice is filled with rage by now. "Yes I can, AND I'D LIKE TO KNOW WHAT YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT?" He raises his eyebrows, pausing shortly and waiting expectantly for her to say something.
That's a challenge. You can bet your life Molly has never seen this side of Remus. She opens her mouth a few times to say something, but no words come out.
"NOTHING." Remus finishes with a sneer.
He would rarely show this side of himself. He's not the type to argue with someone, especially Molly. She's always been so kind and you know she's worried about your health, but you can't deny that she's unbearably angry tonight and with your emotions running high, it easily makes you cry.
'The argument is about to get worse.'
Suddenly it feels like you can't physically be there anymore. Watching the man you're in love with so tensed up, causes more tears to fill your eyes as your head starts aching badly.
Not wanting to hear any of their arguments anymore, You leap up to your feet and hurry out of the kitchen, nearly stumbling as you rush up the stairs.
They briefly stop arguing as you hurry out of the room. Hermione attempts to join you, but you shake your head on the way, indicating that you need some alone time.
She sits back in the chair.
However the conversation doesn't falter after they make sure you're out of view. Instead, it gets heated even more and you hate it when you're the topic of their fight.
Sirius struggles to keep his voice low by now. "Molly. Out of everyone here, you should know better to not stress her out..."
"I had to know it earlier..."
"She would've told you, if you had asked nicely..."
"Are you relieved now? If something happens to my y/n..."
The voices get lower and lower with each step you take.
As you finally reach the door of your shared room with girls, you shut the door behind you and make sure to put a silencing charm in the room to muffle all the sounds that come from downstairs.
First thing you do is to grab the potion and drink it up, along with a piece of chocolate to give you some energy.
Then you walk towards the window and open it with your wand. Curling up on the ledge of it, you inhale deeply and let the fresh earthy air fill your lungs and take away all your worries. At least for now.
It's a lovely sight. The rain has stopped by now. Moony is back and moon is back in the sky. Your hair flows in the light breeze as you start overthinking again.
'He hates me now.'
'But he defended me.'
Minutes pass and you lose track of time. Many different ideas and decisions attack your mind.
From your midnight talks with Remus, you had concluded that he liked kids, but was afraid of having one. (due to his condition.) You should probably be ready for another argument later.
You're so deep in thoughts that you don't notice when or who opens the door and approaches you from behind until a blanket is wrapped around your body...

It had become a common thing for you to tire yourself out and use your work as a distraction to stop your mind from thinking about your love, but nothing felt completely right or successfully done whenever he wasn't around.
Every morning was a day closer to the war and Remus couldn't be with you for most of the week. Sometimes he'd even undertake risky missions and be away for a month.
Could you stop him? No
Besides being a lovely and caring boyfriend, he was always admired for his great determination.
So there was no other choice and it was better for you to focus on your responsibilities as Order's assistant to collect more information about death eaters and Ministry's furtive activities.
It was a stressful job and your emotional attachment to him was making it harder to cope with the increasing amount of workload. You were constantly worried about him and how he was spending his time in the middle of danger.
In all your sleepless nights, he wasn't there to stop you from overworking with his soothing words, so you'd stay up all night and hopelessly try to do something positive.
But it was like your mind and body couldn't function normally when you weren't in Heaven. He was your heaven. You had to confess it to him one day...
Today isn't any different, just as stressful as previous days. You haven't seen him for almost two weeks by now.
Following your daily routine, you wake up after a short nap to start another boring day. As you make your way to bathroom to wash your face, you look into the mirror and notice slightly dark circles around your eyes. Your face looks paler than before, but you decide to ignore it for now.
Something is wrong with you.
When you get back to the room, a pile of unchecked documents on the table catches your attention and you feel a weird feeling in your stomach. Probably a sign of your stupid decisions to stay awake all night. You decide to ignore this too and make the pain go away with a cup of coffee.
It always works.
But today is the day that everything is against you. It only gets worse with each passing hour. Your eyes start to ache terribly and a pounding headache finds its way to the back of your head.
After hours of working nonstop, the pain in your head becomes too much. You huff and throw the papers on the table. There is just two way to heal it.
Coffee was the first option and it didn't work. Second option is Remus and he's far away right now. It's one of those horrible headaches that won't go away with sleeping. You just have to stay awake or lie on the bed and deal with it.
You bury your face in your hands and groan in pain, fighting the tears from forming in your eyes. That's how his absence affects you.
When afternoon approaches, sore throat is added to your problems, not letting you eat anything. You decide to grab your wand from the table and open the window to get some fresh air. You shut your eyes for a few minutes, enjoying the cool breeze as you drink up another cup of coffee.
That's when you focus on something other than work.
It's natural to hear footsteps and movements from downstairs. 12 Grimmauld place hasn't been empty these days and Order's members regularly visit it, but when footsteps get near and near to the door of your room, your curiosity gets the best of you and you leap to your feet.
Is Remus finally back?
Your vision goes blurry for a second and you feel giddy as you stand up, but you ignore this too and rush towards the door. Your headache gets a thousand times better when you see Remus in the hallway, standing a few meters away from you. He smiles beamingly and opens his arms for you, welcoming you into a hug. You don't hesitate and jump to his embrace, hugging him as tight as possible like your life depends on it. You wrap your legs around his waist and bury your head in the crook of his neck, still fully ignoring your dizziness. His godly presence comforts you instantly.
No words need to be said. You wonder at the way your body reacts to him and slowly lift your head, placing a sweet needy kiss on his lips.
"I missed you so much." He purrs in your ear, holding you tightly.
"I missed you more."
After a blissful moment of kissing and hugging, he gently sets you down on your feet. His smile fades into a frown as he looks directly into your eyes.
"y/n, my love, you look super tired." He says worriedly, caressing your cheek with his thumb.
Your heart flutters at the mention of my love. You had thought he'd be pissed after seeing your ghostly face, but he never stops surprising you. He's your lovely and caring boyfriend after all.
"No, I, I'm doing just fine." You smile to reassure him. Your attempt fails, because he's not the one to believe your lies.
"Don't fake a smile. You can't lie to me." He states and takes your hand in his own, dragging you to the room.
"You just know me too well." You reply truthfully as you follow behind him.
Remus' frown deepens when he notices the pile of papers and empty cups of coffee on the table. You immediately scold yourself for leaving them there like that.
He remains silent for a moment before turning to look at you, "I, I won't have the heart to leave you like this and attend any more missions if you keep doing this to yourself."
'Finally there's something that stops you from putting yourself in danger.'
"Remus, just hold me. It'll be fine." You pull him closer and ask with pleading eyes, hoping to change the topic. The way he cares for you is just so beautiful.
"Shh, you need to rest."
He picks you up easily and carries you to the couch. Then he walks out of the room and a few minutes later gets back with two cups in his hands.

"This, my dear, is much better than coffee."
He says beamingly as he hands you the cup of tea along with a chocolate bar. It's honestly much better. You nod eagerly and take his hand, pulling him down to sit next to you.
"Especially when you make it." You mumble sleepily and hold the cup up to your face, inhaling its smell as you close your eyes for a moment.
He chuckles softly and wraps his arm around you, causing you to snuggle closer to him. His heartbeat is like a lullaby to your ear when you rest your head on his chest. The way he strokes your hair and occasionally kisses it, tells millions of unspoken stories in the middle of the night.
Your sore throat gradually fades and your head doesn't ache anymore. It's impossible to feel any pain in his presence. You're sure he hasn't added any potion to the tea or used any spell on you.
He, himself is a living magic. One word with his voice is enough to heal all your deepest wounds. One touch of his fingers is enough to destroy all the demons in your mind. One look into his eyes and you'll be stunned forever.
So, sickness? What is it?
Your eyes gradually feel heavy and his chest heaves up and down so calmingly that you nearly drop your half empty cup. He grabs it on time and places it on the table next to his cup. You fight the urge to close your eyes and lift your head to look into his eyes, wanting to be stunned again.
'Damn, he's so tired.'
You notice now as you lazily lean up to press a kiss on his cheek, changing your mind midway and kissing his lips instead. He brushes a strand of hair off your face.
"Baby, It's about time you close your eyes." He whispers soothingly and places a piece of chocolate between your lips, watching contentedly as you nibble at it.
His eyes are heavy too. His hair is more disheveled than ever. His whole body shows how tired he is, but he still puts you first and takes care of you. You mentally promise yourself to make it up to him tomorrow.
Then the thought of not seeing him again in the morning comes to your mind.
"Don't leave."
"I won't." He assures you as you lay your head back on his chest, the safest place you could ever be.
"You're like heaven when I'm in hell." You mumble into his chest before finally drifting into a most needed sleep, smiling widely when you hear his reply.
"You're my heaven. I'm trying to be like you."
