This Is Hungry Work: A Hozier Inspired Anthology

This is a fantastic free downloadable collection of writing and artwork, created by 32 dedicated creators, all for your enjoyment!

It Features:

- A clickable table of contents that will take you to the individual project. - A wide range of artwork, from digital illustrations to collages to the classic paper-and-pencil sketchwork. - Short stories featuring all manner of subjects, from Greek mythology, to broken relationships, haunting reflections of the past, and deep heartfelt confessions that seem to leap off of the page. - And finally, a complete social media page at the end of the document–so that you might share your affections with the individual creators of the work! Feel free to check out the other works by the creators (this can be found on the same social media page).

If you have any issues downloading the file–or wish to express your enjoyment of the work–feel free to dm this acocunt, or send us an email at hozierfanzine@gmail.com. Eadaz "Ead" du Zala uq-Nāra, Sabran Berethnet and Miduchi Tané from The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon.

i had the wonderful opportunity to visit @sshannonauthor at kinokuniya sydney on the 19th, and it was such a lovely and inspiring time to hear exactly how the world of priory was created and why things existed in it!

to anyone looking for a queer feminist retelling (of st. george and the dragon) with IMMENSELY engaging worldbuilding and characters, i do highly recommend priory!

kind hearted fire (or; roinelya)

for day 6 of @finweanladiesweek​ : original characters

Alomíel Varyarë "Roinelya”, daughter of Naltalomë, daughter of Írimë. Her mother Naltalomë chose to stay behind when her grandmother Írimë crossed the Helcaraxe, and not long after Naltalomë met a ner (one of Mahtan’s kin) who would become Roinelya’s father. Lover of Maeglin Lómion after his rebirth in Valinor. Called Varyarë (or Varya) until Maeglin named her Roinelya. Estranged from her mother due to Naltalomë’s dislike of their exiled kin, lives with her aunt Nerdanel and later (after her rebirth) her grandmother Írimë. 

Roinelya, true to her epessë, is quite athletic and has long auburn hair often pulled up in a quintessentially Noldor style. Her skin is a rosy gold colour a tinge darker than most, with her great-grandmother having dark skin. Her eyes are a sea blue inherited from her father, and she also shares a hobby with him- painting. Lomí is patient and creative, but tends to be a little scatterbrained at times.
