do you think doflamingo sometimes gets a whiff of crocodile's cigarette smoke and it reminds him of corazon. do you think that maybe. any time anyone smokes around him he remembers corazon and gets all. weird and quiet and irritated. do you think he hates things that remind him of corazon but also will not push them away or get rid of them because some part of him wants to remember the bits that were good or he doesn't want to forget his brother completely even if the reminders are painful, because for a while there he loved corazon and wanted to keep him and all of those things close at hand around him, and now they're gone and doffy is different now from what he was back then but that part of him isn't totally gone, it's rather been dormant for a long time, and sometimes it rears its ugly head and those are the days he needs to retire to his quarters early with a bottle of alcohol and orders not to disturb him?

do you think maybe the reason he didn't kill law when he had every opportunity to do so and put it off for so long was because he was the last remaining concrete link to corazon and doflamingo hates that law talks about his brother like he was his, and it still fucking stings that the one person who was meant to be his equal, the only other one of his kind, chose just somebody else over him,,,
