“I’ve told you a million times, It Won’t Work!” Baxter said yelling at his apprentice, “I’ve tried to kill that boy wonder in a cape a thousand times, and it never works!” Mad, Baxter threw the table towards his apprentice, Karla, who dodged out of the way. “You will think of something, you always do. Besides it’s not like he’s immortal.” Karla said, trying to calm down her boss.
“How do you know if he’s immortal or not!” Baxter yelled a bit louder then he meant to, “I’m sorry I yelled, it was unprofessional of me,” Baxter had always been a hot tempered boss, but his recent failure to kill ‘Boy Wonder’, General C., aka Carlson, had left him more mad then he had been in a long time.
Carlson and Baxter had been fighting for twenty years. Baxter was seen as a villain in the eyes of the public, but saw himself as the hero compared to the horrific things he had seen Carlson do. Baxter had an injury because of one of Carlson’s big saves, Baxter had lost his left arm after a building had fallen on top of him because Carlson had ran through the building support beams to catch a burglar.
Baxter had been trying for twenty years to kill the ‘hero’ that was Carlson. He had tried hitting him, burning him, crushing him, and much much more. Then it hit him, he had seen Carlson bleed before, not often, but once. He thought that if he could just get a blood sample he could test his ideas on the cells instead of destroying any more of the city.
It was not going to be easy and the only way he had been able to make him bleed before was with acid and it had only made him bleed it didn’t even go to the bone.
“Ok this might sound crazy but what if we could just get a blood sample” Baxter said.
“Ill get the acid gun,”

Chapter 1: The Old Wooden House
This story starts on a bright summer day somewhere in Missouri, where are protagonist, Alex Windel, is buying a new house. They are on there last dollar and have nowhere else to go, he is just staying in this house till they can afford another less trashy one.
“Ok, your all set.” The seller says with a smile, Alex nodded and headed inside. Inside it smelly old like something he had never smelt before. It was a two story house, with a kitchen, living room, and bathroom on the first floor. The second floor was made up of four bedrooms.
He looked around to see how the house looked from the inside. Every faucet was working and the electricity was all set up, he had no idea why the house only went for a couple hundred dollars. There was a small hole in the guest bedroom on the second floor that went straight to the attic. The seller of the house told him to never go to the attic because of a bat infestation, which made him want to go even more.
After he got done looking at the house he started moving in a couple of things he got at the store with the last few dollars he had. Finally, after he was moved in he laid down on his air mattress content with the work he had gotten done, still thinking about the attic. After a while he went to sleep dreaming of his dream house.
The next day he woke up to a banging in the attic. Still halfway asleep, he slowly walked into the guest bedroom. As he started through the hole the thumping stopped. He looked around but just found boxes, no bats or any living thing that he could see. He started looking through boxes assuming there was a squirrel or raccoon.
What he found that wasn’t ruined was a clock, a flashlight, and a jar. When he opened the jar a black smoke spouted out faster than sound itself and as suddenly as it started it ended. Alex new he had unleashed something he shouldn’t have.
