Ok, let’s talk about it/its pronouns. If someone asks you to use it/its pronouns, please use them! I see a lot of people saying they don’t want to “dehumanize” people who use it/it’s pronouns, but it literally told you to use those pronouns for it, I know lots of people who use those pronouns that are so tired of you replacing it/its with they/them, and it doesn’t want you to do that. Ok TW for suicide topics.

Anyway tell me why, I as a 14 year old, have had to talk 3 separate people down from suicide in the past 2 months. Oh! Right! The funding for the suicide hotline is being defunded and I told my friends to call me before doing anything! I’m tired and I shouldn’t be the one doing this, but it’s either that or my friend overdoses on sleep pills. Why does this have to be my reality? Why does this have to be our reality? I don’t want to sit there, trying not to break down while frantically texting my friends about how much I love them while trying to get someone who’s close to them to stop them. I would do anything for my friends, so I would do this song and dance once a week if it kept them alive, but I shouldn’t have to. I’m 14, I should be fucking around at the mall or something. Not worrying if I will be the last person my friends ever talk to.

“Why are you letting politics get in the way of our friendship?” Well, maybe it’s because you want to take away any rights to my own body? Maybe it’s because you wish to remove illegal immigrants likely trying to escape a rough situation in their home country, and you want to ship the m back? Maybe it’s because your ‘politics’ directly go against the queer community, that I happen to be a part of? Maybe it’s because you clearly don’t like any part of what I stand for. It’s not just about politics, it’s about my rights.

Why do i need to sit and watch my rights disappear because some people don’t like who I am and what I represent? Why was a convicted felon even able to run for president? Why are years of protests and fighting for equal rights for all being taken away because one person disagrees? Why do I have to stand up every morning in school and end the pledge of allegiance with “equality and justice for all” when I am not equal to all, and I do not feel I have justice. Why do I, a 14 year old, have to hide who I am for the next 4 years because my government wishes to remove laws that protect me. Why are people still telling me that the fear of what my future holds is unfounded? My future is in your hands America. And I have the right to be worried as I watch my rights slip away from me.

To all the people who voted for trump; I wish the following things on you for the next 4 years.

-you are always sightly too hot or too cold

-both sides of your pillow are always warm

-your smoke alarm’s battery is constantly dying so you always hear a constant beeping sound

-the next time you try to hang something on the center of your wall you accidentally put it slightly off center

-you constantly get stuck in traffic after long days

-the next time you measure something your measurements are off

-whenever you are extremely board, your phone dies

-you loose your tv remote

-you get an infestation of a harmless bug like those really tiny ants

-the camera on your phone shatters

-whenever you go to the store for something specific, you have to go to multiple stores before finding it

-if you have a dishwasher, it stops working

-your favorite snacks aren’t in stock at stores

-you always have an itch somewhere

-you constantly get minor colds

-you can never seem to find what your looking for until you don’t need it anymore

-you constantly stub your toe on corners

-the graphite in your pencil keeps breaking

-glitter spills on your floor and now it is forever etched into your house

-you accidentally knock over a cup of water on your bed at night

-your favorite outfit gets stained

-you use up all your cellular data and don’t have any for a month

-the storage on your phone is always full

-your favorite restaurant stops selling your favorite dish

-your favorite tv show ends on a cliffhanger and than gets discontinued

-whenever you shuffle cards they never seem to be the same direction

-you get a bad haircut

But most importantly; I hope you regret who you have voted for.

Why do we normalize school shootings in America?? Why did a school need me get shot up and it maybe got one news article? Can we not make this a normal thing? Because children getting murderd should never be normalized. I know it’s a depressing topic you might not want to see on the news in the morning, but the fact is this type of thing happens way too much and we need to bring more attention to it.

Hey! Americans! Why are we talking away laws that help protect kids from school shooters? Why do I have to be worried I won’t make it home when I walk into school? Why am I concerned something happened to my little sister when she’s late coming home? What am I worried one day my mom won’t come home one day because the school she works at was targeted and she decided her students were more important. Why do I have to be worried about that because we decide to take away laws put in place for a reason? Seriously, what the fuck are we doing America?

Hey minorities and woman in America who voted trump! Why? Why did you vote against your own rights? Why do you vote for someone who is going to take away decades of work your descendants put into protesting for equality that we take for granted now? The facts of what would happen if he got power were right in front of you and yet you still chose to vote for someone who has never and will never have your best interest in mind. Why did you do that? I just don’t understand. Who you voted is confidential, no one needs to know meaning you willingly voted against your own rights. I repeat; why?

Hello! Can someone please tell me why my rights are currently being taken away when I can’t even vote yet? Can someone tell me why I don’t have the right to my own body anymore? Can someone tell me why it’s so awful that I might like another woman instead of a man? Can someone please tell me why it’s so bad I’m a woman in the first place? Can someone please tell me why people thought it was a good idea to vote a convicted felon into the White House? America, please, I’m asking why we have willingly fallen into the hands of someone who doesn’t want the best for everyone? I, a 14 year old, am asking you why? Why do you care more about the price of eggs than my rights as a human? Why?

Hey! Can we not defend someone who did a natzi salute on live tv? Can we not defend someone who is actively taking away decades of working towards equally? I’m so tired of this. I’m so tired of worrying that one day I’m gonna go to school and find a bullet lodged in my skull. I’m tired of being nervous when I watch my 9 year old sister walk into a building that’s supposed to be safe. I’m tired of worrying that by the time I’m old enough to vote I might not even have the right to vote because I’m a queer woman. I don’t care what you think about me because you need to realize this won’t just affect me. It will affect millions of people with various different backgrounds, beliefs, and classes. Just for once, can we set aside our differences and stand up together to fight for America? Please. I’m begging.

As someone who is still very much a minor, hey people over 18 that voted trump! Why? Just why? Why did y’all think it was a good idea to let a literal felon be our president? Why when there right hand man does a natzi salute do you defend him? It’s right in front of you. Why do I, a 14 year old child have to point this out to you? And why do I have a feeling you won’t listen to me? Why do I have a feeling you will continue to defend the man destroying our country, saying he’s fixing it? Why do I have to be worried I’m not going to have rights by the time I’m 18?

This is your daily reminder that a man calling a woman a slut or a whore in any situation. It is not a man’s word to reclaim, men cannot say that stuff. I don’t care if she’s your friend, as someone who has been called a slut by a male friend of mine, it doesn’t feel good no matter how close you are. It’s not a man’s word to reclaim.

American high schooler here! can we STOP taking away laws that protect me and my little sister’s schools from being shot up? I don’t want to be scared for mine and my 9 year old sisters life because we’re loosening gun laws. I understand why people want guns! I live in an area where people regularly hunt deer, but the laws were taking away protect children’s LIVES. This isn’t about your deer anymore this is about CHILDREN GETTING MURDERD. Why can’t people see that??

Not gonna lie, I hope the people from minority communities who voted trump realize the weight of their decision. I hope right now they’re sitting somewhere looking at the news and regretting voting him into office.

I’m serious, I think staying alive would be the biggest fuck you to trump possible. (Tip: instead of cutting yourself, put glue on where you normally cut and peel it off)

Oh boy I love watching my rights get taken away because some people thought trump would be able to magically make egg prices lower. This is so much fun, watching decades of people fighting to be seen as human taken away in days. Watching laws that keep me safe be stripped away before I’m even 18.
