Have you SEEN Adam West’s Batman?

I fucking hate the "DC is supposed to be dark! So Superman 2025 is terrible!" take since it's not true at all. DC isn't inherently darker than Marvel. The reason why DC movies became dark was because of the dark knight trilogy. And the reason why the dark knight trilogy got dark is because Batman's stories can be pretty dark at times. So the dark knight was dark because it was a Batman story, not because it was DC. Too bad writers saw the success of that trilogy and thought dark and gritty super heroes must be the winning idea.

Meanwhile if you look at the past you will see that other DC movies/Shows were pretty light hearted. Even the batman movies were more light hearted. One of the batmen pulled out a fucking bat credit card. How in the hell is that even remotely serious. Jim Carrey played the riddler in one of the movies even.

And don't forget that superman movies in the past were really light hearted too. In the comics they had kryptonite that turned superman gay. How in the actual fuck would anyone take that serious at all?
