Puffy skirts have been replaced by modern A-line dresses. Futuristic looks, bright synthetic fabrics and pop art patterns became popular among youth.

Dazzling outfits of movie stars glorified the desire for a luxurious life and the perfect platinum blonde’s image. Flowing dresses followed the lines of the body and were decorated with plenty of spangles and furs.

Classics replaced extravagance, and luxury gave way to subtle chic. Ladies preferred laconic feminine silhouettes combining austerity and romanticism, and complemented their looks with handbags and hats.
