i'm actually shocked that there's no note on the one piece wiki that buggy's nose is a reference to ryūnosuke akutagawa's short stories The Nose and Dragon: The Old Potter's Tale

So i would like to send a headcanon, that Buggy (specifically live action) would let his s/o do his makeup sometimes.

Oh absolutely. He is made to be doted on like that.

I have thoughts about this, because I just adore it! WC: ~400 Warnings: sfw, buggy x gn!partner

Maybe it starts with Buggy being his usual chatty self - in between rattling off what needs to get done, complaints and vexes, and plans for treasure, he still has breath to explain his routine.

He dabs the edges of his red lip color, while muttering about how it needs to be smudged juuuust enough. And Buggy’s right, the quick touches soften the line until it won’t be immediately noticeable with the make-up smears and starts to wear off.

Buggy compliments himself on how well he lines up the triangles surrounding his eyes. Not too high, otherwise the blue stains his bandana. He drags the color through his eyebrows and says it’s for convenience, but he’s being too intentional.

He talks and chatters often enough about each step and his preferences that his S/O stores it all in their head and heart. They pay attention to the details.

Shaky lines? Shapes that are more blob-like and not as sharp? Blue on the edge of his bandana? The captain might be under the weather. Or he was being rushed. Maybe he’s pissed and a misplaced glance away from a fight.

On the other hand -getting catches of glitter and sparkle, lipstick so fresh and creamy that it left a print on his mug, even his lashes have a little extra going on. Even without all the make-up enhancements, Buggy is glowing.

Eventually, his partner asks try. They offer to help. Maybe they start with lipstick. Even though it’s not as easy as they expect (why are his lips so soft and squishy?), they do a decent job. Buggy’s staring in the mirror, assessing the skill, and they practically slam him back in the chair. They almost forgot a crucial step. 

With one hand on his shoulder, keeping him in place, their other is carefully dabbing at the layer of red they just laid on. Well, dabbing and smearing. It’s reminiscent of finger painting.

Aside from the in-crimson-ating fingerprint left on his cheekbone, Buggy’s impressed. He could get used to being pampered like this.

Sinking into the chair, Buggy let’s his partner continue. He’ll still talk through each step, and grumble when they don’t follow his exact directions, but he’s having fun.

And the next time it happens, Buggy’s the one to initiate. He’ll claim that he’s too tired, not enough sleep, too much stress… Excuse after excuse, each one unnecessary because his S/O already agreed five sentences ago.

Buggy has a talented mouth.

It's the second thing people notice when they meet him. The first is a bit hard to miss.

It moves on its own, before he has time to tell it what to do. Placing him in trouble almost as often as it gets him out of it, almost as often as it plucks victory out of his enemies hands. It has taken him to hell and skyrocketed him to godhood.

But when it comes to you, his mouth learns worship. His lips were made to sing your praises, his voice is brighter when he calls your name, and alone together, his teeth leave love notes on your skin. Every kiss screams I love you, I love you, I love you.

Set in a real-world-inspired Golden Age of Pirates (but with Devil Fruits and non-human entities still around), WTOF follows Jaspa, the rebellious but restrained daughter of a tyrannical governor, and Buggy, the flashy, dramatic, and wildly determined pirate who refuses to let her slip through his fingers again.

While this is mostly a Buggy x OC, expect to see some Buggy x OC x Alvida and Buggy x OC x Shanks :)
