My friend and I were talking about what if IT were a sitcom the other day, and I brought up the trope of "main character has an evil identical cousin" (as seen in Jessie, the princess switch 2, and Hannah Montana) and we just kept talking about it until we found an image of Nicholas Hamilton with glasses and KNEW we had to make a shitty oc out of it. So we made a character named Harry Bowers, he's Henry's shitty little british cousin and that is also played by Nicholas Hamilton. It still works on sitcom rules though, so anytime Henry and Harry interact it's shot reverse shot, split screen, and close ups of the back of their heads. It's basically just like the parent trap but worse.

Unlike Henry, he's actually a relatively pleasant person to get along with, but he really enjoys making Henry suffer for literally no reason. Ever since they were little Harry's been cartoonishly abusive, you look at """happy""" old photos of them as kids, and it's always something like Connor smiling into the camera while Harry tries to drown Henry in a lake. He's also just as unhinged as Henry, only instead of violent outbursts to everyone around him, Harry has extreme british passive aggressiveness and does insane shit like move all of Henry's furniture slightly to the left.

In many aspects Harry is Henry's Henry Bowers, only it's worse because nobody likes Henry and everyone agrees he sucks, nobody cares that Harry psychologically tortures him. You might expect Harry to try and steal Henry's life or something, given that they look alike, but he really doesn't want to. Butch and the losers club would absolutely love it if he did though. They're all pretty take it or leave it about him. Thankfully, he only stays for like a week in summer, then disappears for the rest of the year.

Henry hates him so much it's gotten to the point he suspects he poisons him everytime he's here. Everytime he crops up again Henry nearly has a panic attack. His cloyingly stupid british voice announcing "Hello Henry!" sends shivers down his spine. Only made worse by the fact Harry can just pop up behind any surface randomly. He'll close the fridge door and BAM "Hello Henry!". Horror sting music plays everytime it happens too.

Honestly, Harry Bowers might not even be real though, I think Henry might just be having a weird fight club like psychosis.

OH MY GAAAHHHH IVE WAITED YEARS FOR THIS QUESTIONNNN

(Rubbing my little hands together) MEGA SPOILERS BELOW BTW IN CASE ANYONE HASNT FINISHED THE GAME

For quick context to anyone who might not know , Li is my builder Oc (first image) and Dice is my non builder NPC type oc who I like to imagine as a potential romancable character when someone else is playing as builder. But in my au where Li and Dice are in the same universe Dice is Li's older sister.

Starting with Li!!

Li and Pen has this sort of crazy friendship when you consider they are selectively mute and the way their personalities are pretty different. Pen is a loud and proud extrovert who can fill a room with his very presence when Li is really mousy and tends to keep to themselves all the while a really affectionate friend. This has given them a sort of platonic lovey-friendship where they're best friends who can say I love you and understand how deeply connected they are as bestie which makes Pen's betrayal /leaving for incarceration a hell of a lot more painful.

Li does have BPD and because Pen was their favorite person this was REALLY rough and there was a LOT of coping they had to deal with because losing the person their whole world revolved around totally destroyed what they had and they basically had to start from scratch socially. Sure they had other friends like Unsuur and Nia and Qi-- but what they had with Pen was so unique and so special that it was really difficult for them to let go despite knowing he's really frowned upon on Sandrock. It's really difficult for them to just "get with the program" and let go of him as easily as the game implies you do when he leaves and often times they get stuck in awkward spots where they have to talk to some of the people he hurt knowing how awkward it is for everyone when the attachment to their friend who turned out to be pretty evil still has a tight hold on them.

I like to think that they try to send letters to Pen secretly once in a while and hasn't gotten a response back for better or worse, but a given explanation is actually that Pen had been throwing them away as soon as he got them because he was scared he would open it and find that Li wanted to officially break off the friendship.

I think before I've compared them to the story of the Scorpion and the Frog, but their friendship is maybe a little more parasitic than that. Pen definitely had ulterior motives in picking to befriend the person who obviously struggled socially and would do anything to keep a friend around, but when they both started having something real the line between something fake and something so painfully real gets blurred and ultimately both of them are unable to let go of each other because of how close they were. They are truly doomed by the narrative I think oughh

AS FOR DICE !!!

I don't believe I've ever done a real deep dive explanation since I was still working out some of the details but I pretty much have something now.

She actually used to do average odd jobs around Highwind to save up money to put towards to her music career that was inspired by old world music she discovered and fell in love with (hahahahaha. Really funny to think stuff like Hannah Monatana and MarinaAndTheDiamonds would be considered old world in their universe) which led to her deciding she wanted to be a music star.

Things didn't go to plan however and although some of the story is pretty lost in the mud due to her shame and refusal to open up about it, her career failed as no one listened to the genre or didn't find it interesting enough. The embarrassment of being unable to achieve the dream she worked all her teen years towards made her incredibly depressed and she actually disappeared for a couple of years with no warning until she one day resurfaced as the bounty hunter/bodyguard/whatever she is today.

She claims to owe a lot of her being able to get back up onto her feet to Yan and Pen, who found her alone in the eufala after getting lost and set her up with a job as "Yan's Personal Bodyguard" as silly as it sounds. But it made him look cool and important, and gave her the money she needed to get back up on her feet so she took it.

She started traveling around the free cities to pick up more bounty jobs now that she had found another purpose in life (though some are pretty sure she's just take out a lot of pent up feelings on it). Even though she had become kind of a drifter all throughout the free cities, at some point, she and Yan started dating and it was about as insufferable of an experience as you'd imagine. The public sweet talk, the constant hand holding, the way that it's so obvious Yan is more interested in her than she Is in him... awful. Owen says his best paid night but worst social experiences come from their dates at the Blue Moon.

Of course, once Yan gets shipped off Dice reveals that she's relieved about his arrest because it was starting to get on her nerves and that she had been struggling to figure out a way to break up with him without a whole spectacle happening.

But just as soon as he's gone, Wei comes to town and she INSTANTLY falls for how much kinder he is. When you spend your whole life around questionable characters you sort of start to just accept that maybe everyone is only thinking of themselves; but Wei was different.

For once, Dice was the one chasing a love interest rather than being the one who was pursued, and as confusing as it might have been at first, eventually they both start connecting and their kind of opposite personalities start to find ways to compliment each other. Wei stops being suspicious that Dice might be acting on his brother's behalf and Dice starts to disappear from sandrock less often in order to spend more time with him.

Owen dreads Friday night dates a whole lot less now lol...

So, I don't know much about Haul but from what I've seen of Hannah, I don't think she'd want a HUGE family? I see her maxing out around three.

omg thank GOD you’re rewriting claude. aside from the obvious creeps like druitt he is probably my least favorite character in the series😭😭 could you share some of your headcanons for him?

YES OFC, I have a few headcanons about him that I'm using to fix him, most of them are basically family headcanons since yk family ocs gotta shove them down there, so here we go I'm gonna first share like family oc headcanons about him to make the other headcanons make sense:

He's the eldest son of 7 kids (one set of twins, two other kids, and a set of triplets), he's actually one of the twins but because he was first born he ends up with the older brother role and duties given by his mother, instead of them being shared equally with his twin brother, they get thrown at him mostly. Like one major thing is that he helps take care of his younger siblings.

Now that we got that headcanon out of the way, I can mention because Claude was the one (mostly) raising his siblings, it actually helped him gain a good memory to what everyone likes and what their schedules are in the Trancy household example like: he knows Alois likes being read to before he goes to bed, he knows that Hannah likes to sometimes nap between 6pm-8pm so he distracts the others from bothering her. He also knows what type drinks each of the triplets like, Timber likes hot drinks, Thompson likes cold drinks, and he knows that Canterbury prefers it somewhere in between. Small details like that he memorizes because it's what he did with his siblings

Also since I'm not really a fan of Claudad and don't really view him as a parental figure to Alois (That's mostly Hannah's role imo), that doesn't mean Claude doesn't have like a familiar bond with Alois, because I'd imagine Alois probably reminds Claude of one of his siblings, he probably treats him like one, mostly when they're alone because I know damn well he'd be embarrassed if someone walked in while he was holding Alois upset down in the air because he tried to trip him (Alois is laughing don't worry he's okay)

Oh right should mention that Claude here is not fucking creepy or weird like in the anime he's just, some guy that's very overworked (workaholic who believes if he's not doing something every hour then he'll explode and fail everyone), but he cares about the trancy household since in his eyes they're technically his only family right now, he just doesn't like to admit it because he thinks it's embarrassing that he views a bunch of "other" people as family than ones who are actually blood related to him.

He fucking hates Sebastian btw, not because of whatever reasons the anime gave (because fuck that). But because 1, Sebastian has a better and close bond with his mother, and 2, Sebastian doesn't seem to be embarrassed about the thought of being a family with the servants and Ciel. Which makes Claude envy him, because he wants to be as equally as happy as him, without his inner thoughts eating him alive for even thinking about that and having to pretend he hates everyone around him because he was raised that way

Anyway I think that's about it for now? I'll definitely do more after I design his parents but that's about it for re-vamp Claude headcanons (long story short Claude is just very fucking insecure)

So, I’m quite terrible with words but Noemí’s Pinterest board can be found here. Of course she’s in tune with her Mexican culture but also loves living in Italy. She enjoys the outdoors, gossiping, baking, wearing a lot of gold jewelry and long skirts, watching novelas, and being a devote Catholic. She was somewhat inspired by my own mom but became her own person along the way.

As for Dulce, I’m still working on her Pinterest board but she definitely has more of a y2k aesthetic! @deardiaryts4 understands her a lot btw. She said that one of Dulce’s outfits reminded her of Hannah Montana, and now I have a clear direction of what I want her future house to look like! Something inspired by Hannah Montana’s closet, Raven’s room from That’s So Raven, and other iconic girly sets from 2000’s TV shows. deardiary also described Dulce’s style as a mix between girly and tomboy, which I agree with. Dulce loves purple, fashion, playing basketball, social media, cooking, jogging, partying, and doing whatever she wants lol.

Raquel. Raquel my girl Raquel she is so socially awkward (autistic) and that leads her to not manage her interpersonal relationships properly so she pretends to not care but she cares soooo much she cares so much... She loves her best friend and little brother more than anyone in the world but has no idea how to show it and hates herself for it.

Hannah. My poor girl tries to be the perfect daughter while hating her parents and loving them while her whole heart at the same time. she wants to be everything they want her to be but she is so SICK of them and their rules and their God and their idea of her she just wants to break free but she is too scared to do so. Raquel is the only person in the world who she would risk this image of herself for.

Lara. They're like an older version of Hannah, in the sense that she also had conservative and overbearing parents that didn't let her be herself. Sadly, though, she didn't manage to escape her house, and is trying to save up money to leave as soon as possible. She tries to be rebellious, and to show that they are more than what their parents want her to be, but knows not to "mess around" too much, otherwise her parents might kick her out before she can actually live by themself.

Sebastián. He is tired of pretending. Tired of pretending to give a damn about what his parents forced him to study, tired of pretending to not feel things, tired of pretending to feel things. He doesn't understand himself, doesn't know what he wants, and at the age of 23, thinks it's too late to even try anymore. So he shuts up, and he keeps pretending. He genuinely doesn't care at this point. He just doesn't know how much longer he'll last.

Marcos. He hates his job. Hates his mom. Hates his life in general, really. He wonders how things would have gone if he had just made a different choice in the past. Would it have been different, or was he doomed from the start?

Hey, I saw your post asking us to gush about minecraft ocs and…ok, so, I have a lot. Partly because details of my ocs tie into the world I made for them, and mostly because I’ve been working on this for 3 and a half years and there’s a lot to tell.

Anyways, my main oc, Hannah, is from the real world and was dragged into the realm of Minecraft. It turns out that there are four kingdoms in this world and three out of the four kingdoms believe in a religious prophecy that entails that a tyrant will rise from one of the kingdoms, but a warrior will return to vanquish them. They believe Hannah to be this warrior, but Hannah doesn’t feel like she is. Unfortunately for her, the only way for her to get back is to go through the same portal that she came in from, and the only way to get the portal to reactivate is to gather the missing corner pieces from each of the four kingdoms. Throughout her journey, Hannah makes friends and allies, all while learning the rules of the server she’s in and how Minecraft works.

Oh yeah, the four kingdoms here are:

Kinerfall: A kingdom for the other players on the server. They see the world as more of an in-depth roleplay thing. Ruled by Queen Amara, who is also from the real world.

Weyforlosa: A kingdom for mobs. They are currently in an active war with Kinerfall because their ruler, King Coveris, used to date Queen Amara, but they split because they each thought that the other was going to be the tyrant.

Lavail: The Nether kingdom. They usually don’t believe in the prophecy or the religion the other kingdoms follow called Avianity. Ruled by King Hesil.

Vaniscar: The End kingdom. Currently the people there are a bit on edge because their recently crowned king, King Afias, has a bit of a checkered past, but he’s what they have for now.

Throughout the story, Hannah makes friends with some mobs that decide to tag along with her, pictured here:

Lonnie is a witch’s experiment that came to life as a slime. She loves adventures and knows how to brew potions.

Isador used to be a wandering trader, but he got turned into an evoker after being captured during a raid. He breaks free from the pillager’s side after meeting Hannah.

Dilou is a part of the royal guard for Lavail. He’s never been outside of the Nether before, so the adventure he goes on with the team is full of new surprises.

Evelyn has it out for King Afias after he wronged her in such a way that it got her banished from Vaniscar. 

Anyways, sorry I rambled for so long. I just have a lot to say about this world…wait, I didn’t even tell you its name.

The world is called Avion. As such, the story is called Tale of Avion.

As for Kinerfall, all of the players there see it as a roleplay sort of thing (and at least Amara is an irl person, though idk if the others are as well)... would they ever want to return to the real world, do they have access to do so, or are they mostly just in-game players? Is Amara an exception in this right, like Hannah is?

Also even if Hannah isn't the real hero the rest of the kingdoms make her out to be, she still seems to be uniting them in a way! Getting a bunch of mobs together from different corners of the world towards a common force (and getting to understand where each is coming from) is very valuable!

For kingdoms, are they/have they ever been on good terms? Do they have agreements or treaties between one another to keep the peace, is it uneasy, or are there a lot of wars happening? In my head I feel that Kinerfall wouldn't get along with a lot of the kingdoms (being that players typically hunt mobs for resources/sport/etc.), but I have little knowledge about it as of yet so I'd love to hear :)

I ask a lot of questions because I'm curious, so sorry if the wall of text is a little intimidating! I just love the worldbuilding!! As you know, my nether fascination is not very sane of any human being, but I also love exploring how in-game mechanics might work in a story-- things like using your inventory, for instance, or how totems of undying feel to use, if applicable in the AU. Like-- for the end kingdom, what is their main material? Like what are Afias' clothes/armor made of? Do they have materials in the end we're not able to see in game, or do they trade with other kingdoms? Do they eat chorus fruit? Do endermen need to eat at all? How do alliances work out between them all? How do the mobs keep from burning during the day? Do they have any magic that helps? Charms, amulets, totems? Do kingdoms have to compromise sometimes (like players would need to have a meeting with the mobs at night, to prevent them from burning up, in lieu of being able to see all that comfortably?)

ALSO stay determined? A fellow UTDR enjoyer? Huzzah! This is coming from someone who wears a LOT of stripes and now has a love for sweaters after allowing it to shape my life a while back lol

1. originally was supposed to be an antagonist to rb and hart, now is just a mischievous friend

2. nonbinary! (this was when i avoided making queer characters due to "not seeing them as trans/gay", the nb thing was decided a couple years after)

1. used to be a bully to rb that could never be redeemed. got redeemed.

2. got super defensive telling people "this isnt an attempt at racism!" when i told them he was a shitbag. dunno why.

all 4 of them are friends btw, and rb, hearts, and toppie are in a poly relationship

HANNAH! HOW ARE YOU!? Is life treating you well? Are you excited for jk's new album?! I haven't preordered it yet because of financial reason, like I do have the money, but i'm trying to manage my money well lmaooo. the good thing tho that it will be on spotify so i'll be streaming the heck out of it!

i wanted to ask for writing advice. i was inspired by take five and started to write my own story with namjoon. i posted the first chapter, but im have been stuck for a while on how to continue and write scenes with oc chasing namjoon and trying to get his attention similar like how oc did with yoongi in take five. but also, i want to rewrite the first chapter because im not happy with it. i saw in the last ask that you said an outline would help! did you do other types of methods to write take five?

i would be so grateful for advice!

BAE!!!!!! AHHHHH i've been busy beyond relief actually so i'm not caught up that much w the tannies, so ur totally not alone with not preordering yet!! of course it's no problem at all!! here's what i think :D

when i wrote t5, i was stuck with the flow too!!! but what rlly helped me was typing out all the takes that oc was gonna do, no matter how vague the idea was

^^ for ur fic, you could start to build an outline first for the second chapter so you'd have an idea on how you want to rewrite the first!! more often than not (this is out of my own experience btw but pls do not listen to me 100% bc i may be wrong), the second installment to a series is when you start to get the hang of it, so don't sweat abt rewriting the first chapter that much just yet :D

the other method i did of writing take five was watching more of hospital playlist, aka the drama it was inspired by!! through that, i was able to grasp more of the dynamic i wanted to get across in writing t5!!!

WIPS

I mentioned before that I came up with a full story about my ocs with members of Skz years ago, but it’s all in my head and it hasn’t seen the light. Since I’m still polishing it and considering if I should start posting bits about it, I’ll leave the plot here.

The oldest was Olivia and her love interest was Christopher Bang. The story was a childhood pen-pals/friends to co-workers to lovers. She lived in Australia for a while with her family and they befriended the Bang family. She was three years younger than him and had this puppy crush on him, and in return, he was very caring towards her and they often played together, sharing the burden of being both the oldest siblings. When she returned to Spain, her native country, they remained in contact through cute messages. Olivia had relatives in Australia, so they still travelled there from time to time, and each they had to meet up with the Bang family at least twice. She was heartbroken when he left to Seoul to follow his dream, but as time passed by and they lost contact, she moved on and stopped thinking much about him. She took upon herself to treat Hannah and Lucas like her own younger siblings to somehow deal with it. Olivia was gifted with a beautiful voice and had a talent for singing, which pushed her to become interested in songwriting and music producing. I recall she was involved in sports and that was the reason she went to Seoul for a while, but she had trouble adapting and mantenaining herself there, specially since she was keeping the situation hidden from her parents for some reason. She was offered a job in JYP until it was her time to move out and she took it. She knew Christopher became a trainee, but she never got to know which company, and so when they meet again, it was a cute moment. There’s a lot more, but I want to keep it short.

Violeta, or Vivi, was the second sister, two years younger than Olivia,and she was paired with Minho and Han, who were a couple in my work. She was fascinated by dancing as soon as she could walk and so started practising really young. Her dedication and passion moved her to become a professional and achieve a lot at a young age, pretty much like Olivia. I remember she had to use a prosthetic forearm due to a tragic accident in her childhood that was actually one of the major points in her character. She was captain of her own crew, member of a prestigious artistic academy and a “bad girl” type. A chaotic, extroverted troublemaker. She had a hard life and her biggest comfort was her dancing career, in which she excelled at. She travelled overseas in competitions, won, starred some scandals here and there, and gained a certain reputation as a professional who always owned the stage. Her plot started when Olivia and Chris were already a established couple, and her relationship with Minsung is full with ups and downs. I think it’s the most dramatic romance out of all. I know she used Vivi as a nickname for non-hispanic people that had trouble pronouncing her full name.

Then it was Melisa or Mel, Violeta’s twin, and her love interest was Hyunjin. This one I explicitily remember it was a full enemies to lovers one, with the enemies as one-sided because Hyunjin didn’t actually despise her. Aside from not really looking like Vivi, she was shorter than her, which was an important detail connected to their birth. She was the first introvert to appear, since the first two are the opposite. She had a talent for arts, like painting and photography, and she was in the same academy as Vivi as the brain behind the recordings, the edition and etc. She was an audiovisual artist. She was a rather innocent and sweet girl, but far from naïve. If pushed enough, she had a vicious bite, which was how she met Hyunjin. It was an unfortunate encounter, btw. Due to past experiences, she had the rule to never trust pretty faces, specially those who work in the entertainment industry. She was the type to observe things fold from the side and act upon them from behind, only intervening when she deemed it absolutely necessary. 

The three of them are, obviously, spanish, and they were all very confident girls (because at that point I was sick of always reading the same patron of timid, insecure Y/Ns and I wanted to see something different). Olivia and Violeta could often seem like straight up egocentrics about it, while Mel just kept it to herself. Which makes this wip so dear to me is not because it’s a skz fanfic, but because it started sorely as self-insert oc for my fantasies with Christopher Bang and it developed into a full fledged story about generational trauma, friendship, growing up, copying mechanisms and multiple personal hardships the girls went through, both together and individually. I got so inmersed in their characters that they became their own people, with their own backstories and motives. They weren’t just self-inserts no more, they were fictional characters on their right with their goals and traumas aside from the boys. Literally, the romance with the boys was brushed a side a bit in favour of the girl’s development, because I got really into their personal stories that had nothing to do with the guys. I admit that I self-reflected a lot sometimes on them, writing them to let out my own emotions. 

Anyway, my mind is full of headcanons about it, so that’s why I’m starting to post shit up here. I don’t know if I’ll have the courage to write the whole thing, but posting small things about it makes me feel better.
