when & where: around 9:38 pm, somewhere outside on campus near the library
they were on the brink of starting their finals, and link was on the brink of insanity. he fears he won't make it out of this year as having it kept together at all, but all that mattered right now is that he did well on his finals — on the off chance that g doesn't ruin his life completely. he did think about blowing up his entire life himself before g could do it first after staying up all night just thinking about it, but then he had some coffee and began to think straight again.
the library's walls were beginning to look like they were closing in on link after they spent the entire day studying in there, so they packed their shit up and decided to cap the study day by reading over their notes one more time on the bench outside under a street lamp — where there were no walls that could make them feel even crazier than they already did. it was relatively empty minus the occasional person walking by, which was perfect.
link flicks the lighter up to the cigarette between his lips as his eyes continued reading — but no flame appears. he does that a few more times, and comes to the conclusion that yet another cheap lighter bit the dust. " fuck — " right now, nothing was more important than this cigarette he was about to have, considering he's been cooped up indoors for hours. he looks around, and catches a figure walking by. " you don't have any lighters or matches on you by any chance, do you ? "

i think i'm gonna pause my queue and stock it up a little again while periodically replying to & posting those unhinged ask prompts just so there's some writing on my blog over the course of however many days it takes me to amass enough content that i feel i can start the queue again...
