There’s also Homewrecker!Jinwoo actually, though not in the way you think 😏

It’s about reader who’s married and has a four year old daughter, but both of them are being abused by her husband.

One night, when her daughter got sick, she took her to the hospital to make sure she was okay. Coincidentally, that was the same night Jinwoo visited the hospital to give the Elixir of Life to Jinho’s dad.

Jinwoo, reader, and her little girl stepped into the elevator together. But then, the lights flickered and suddenly everything went dark. They were trapped inside the elevator.

The little girl started crying, scared of the dark. Let's say her father (reader’s husband) used to lock her in the bathroom whenever she misbehaved. She kept sobbing, “Mama, please! I’m scared! I was good, Mama, I didn’t do anything wrong!” Reader tried to calm her down (she was close to crying herself from watching her little girl broke down like that), but her daughter wouldn’t listen. She was too scared.

Then, Jinwoo suddenly did something with his magic (maybe he created a little orb of light with his mana) and crouched down to show it to her. He smiled, so gently, and asked, “Hey, you wanna hear a funny story?”

The girl sniffled and nodded.

“I have a friend who used to be a giant ant. Really scary. Sharp claws. Big wings. Thought he was the king of the world.”

The little girl looked at him, eyes still watery, but now curious. "Giant ant..?"

“Mm-hmm. But now he wears a tiny cape and thinks he’s a stage actor.”

Then Beru appeared—floating in the air, small enough to fit in Jinwoo’s palm—and dramatically declared: “Verily, ’tis I! Destined from the womb to smite all foes, conquer dungeons, and rule o’er all creation! And yet—oh, cruel twist!—I now spend mine hours painting yon royal sister’s fingernails! What devilry is this? From dark lord to dainty manicurist—fie, what a fall!”

The little girl giggled. “He talks funny.”

Jinwoo rolled his eyes. “He thinks he’s in a drama. But honestly, I think he just likes attention.”

The girl stepped closer, wide-eyed. “Is he your friend?”

“One of the best ones I’ve got.” He held out his fist. “Wanna bump?”

She did, bumping her small knuckles against his and Jinwoo smiled, gently patting her head. “And now you’re one of my best friends too.”

The girl smiled—like genuinely smiled—and reader wanted to cry because it had been months since she’d seen her little girl smile like that.

I'm going to disagree with Anzu a bit here because while Yami does fight the duels, Yuugi helps him in every step of the way as well.

In the beginning of Battle City, Yami and Yuugi stay up all night preparing Yami's deck

In the KaibaCorp Grand Prix Arc, we see Yami and Yuugi discuss things in the middle of the duel (that was more about the ethics of battling Leon when be was manipulated into doing so than about strategies, but it was about dueling)

Also in Battle City Yami says that the deck he uses contains both his and Yuugi's souls in it

(Yuugi's soul is in Yami's deck i will never move on from this)

The only time we've ever see Yami duel completely alone was in the Orichalcos/Doma arc and he was not coping well without Yuugi. And even then he was thinking of Yuugi while dueling

so all of this is to say that, while Yami is the public face during dueling, he does not battle alone. Yami and Yuugi have always battled together.

One of Steve’s favorite parts of raising his teenage girls is listening to their drama.

He’s said it since he was in high school himself – girl drama is way more interesting than boy drama. Is he playing into gender roles a bit there? Sure, but sometimes there’s a bit of truth to it.

The thing is, drama is a lot different in 2018 than it was when Steve was in high school. The social media piece of it is totally wild to him – the way that there is an underlying meaning to it all is kind of incredible though. Not really in a good way, obviously, because it’s all completely petty and small and dumb, but that’s exactly why Steve loves hearing about it through his kids.

Like, Moe will ask Robbie,

“Dude, what was up with Molly getting cropped out of that photo Ava posted?”

And then Robbie will launch into a whole goddamn narrative – with secondary characters and side stories and plot twists and everything – and Steve totally lives for it every time.

“Shit, I just accidentally liked Lauren’s VSCO,” Moe said.

“Damn,” Robbie commented without looking up from her phone.

“What’s wrong with Lauren?” Steve asked, because last he checked Moe and Lauren were friends.

“She, like, dropped out of school,” Robbie replied.

“Not dropped out,” Moe clarified, “She withdrew from school because she didn’t like anyone and now she’s doing it all online or something.”

And, see, that’s another thing that’s different between now and when Steve was in high school – he’s an adult, with an adult brain and a handful of psych degrees, so the line between what’s drama and what’s an actually concerning event is quite a bit more defined for him than it is for his daughters’.

“What do you mean she didn’t like anyone?” Steve asked.

“I dunno,” Moe shrugged, “She just, like, stopped hanging out, you know. Like, we’d say hi and she wouldn’t say hi back and she left the group chat and she was avoiding sitting with us at lunch and stuff like that.”

And that had Steve’s counselor-brain completely overpowering his drama-brain, and now he’s wondering if he knows Lauren’s mom well enough to weasel his way into the situation.

this is my favourite arc focusing on my favourite character so i had to prepare something while i had some free time between other things! ive been a big fan of higurashi for ages but im only just reading the original material through these streams, so discovering so much more depth about the series i love (especially with your amazing VA work and getting to see newbies' theories and what was cut from the anime) has been an absolute joy!

im not exactly the same as rena but something about her feels so relatable to me in a way i can't quite articulate. the most obvious surface-level aspect is my love for cute things, sweets, and collecting old forgotten things though, so i poured it into this piece. hope the artstyle gives that 2000s VN feel with a little original fancy touch added to her classic design (because i can’t resist the fashion design urge even for fanart lol)

keep up the amazing work, and to the first-timers in chat, I look forward to seeing what you make of the mystery of hinamizawa going forward! It'll only keep getting more exciting from here on out!

Kaeya had always been an efficient and hard-working individual (he had to be to support Diluc in the background as his brother rose thru the ranks after all).

He has so much free time because he completes all his work way ahead of schedule. And if he still has enough time, he adds more to the workload in secret.

And once all of that was done and over with, he makes time for everyone. He has to. He feels as if every moment has to be given to someone else.

No one knows how he does it. No one has to know.

Every mission has a dozen strategies in line, and every battle plan is made with efficiency in mind. His perfect record will not be tarnished. He can't risk it (even if it baffles others that he would willingly activate a ruin guard just to prevent a failed mission. Jean disagrees with his methods, but Kaeya can say that the results say otherwise)

He needs to be quick.

Efficient.

Perfect.

And so he comes and goes like the wind.

Kaeya values time because he knew every second counted. He can't just stand there as if he were frozen. Time could run out in an instant.

Kaeya had only been late once his entire life.

He'd rather he never be late ever again.

It took one day of being of being imperfect for everything to fall apart. On that tragic day...had he gotten there on time... then maybe...

" Come on, let's get moving, traveler. We're not frozen in place after all. " Kaeya teasingly says. He stiffles a giggle at the traveler's exhasperated sigh.

"Yeah yeah, we've heard enough of you calling us a slacker. Can't you be a bit more patient?" Paimon whines at him.

Kaeya snorts, but acquiesces, hiding the shaking of his hands at the thought of being idle.

He imagines hearing a clock ticking.

Kaeya knows that that is his own problem. He tries his hardest to relax as he waits for the traveler to finish whatever they're making on the alchemy table because, seriously, it is supposed to be a relaxing day. There's nothing major going on, and his schedule is once again empty as intended. What's the hurry?

Kaeya taps his foot on the ground as he waits. He wishes he could take his own damn advice when he tells others to relax.

if people understood that there's a way to just avoid things you dislike on the internet and not constantly engage with discourse and meaningless drama of/with people you don't even know, the internet and society itself would be almost unimaginably different.
