Dandy's World Roleplay servers are so wild and unhinged that it makes me come up with AUs. And yes, it's shinyshrimp. I'm so cringe <333

So, while in the roleplay server, I got into an argument with a Shrimpo as Glisten about not being able to see proper reflections though Glisten's face. Then a Goob showed up (my sibling) and asked if Shrimpo was a vampire. Then they asked if Glisten (me) was a vampire. Then we asked the Goob if he was a vampire, and he turned emo. And then I shared this experience with my friends, and they egged me on to make an AU about it lol.

Glisten: So. Is this the part where we make out, orrr-?? Shrimpo: WHAT??!
Dandy: No cuz it's genius! If they hate each other, that's two less annoying people to deal with! (He underestimated the power of enemies to lovers)
The general plot is Glisten is a monster hunter and Shrimpo is a human turned vampire-werewolf (he has no memory of how that happened btw). Glisten is specifically hired by Dandicus to hunt down and kill Shrimpo. Glisten manages to hunt Shrimpo down, but since Shimpo hasn't been non-human for that long, he puts up a kinda pathetic fight. Glisten puts Shimpo's arrogant ass in place and refuses to kill him so they can fight honorably. Shrimpo takes this personally lol and strives to get better at fighting so he can show up Glisten.
Badabing badaboom, enemies to lovers setup.
Dandy did not see that coming and it pisses him off lol.

Shrimpo: I HATE YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO- Astro (to himself): WTF is up with this guy?
This was a doodle recommended by an awesome artist in a server I'm in (dunno if they wanna be tagged lol). Astro being a moon moth thing causes Shrimpo to howl at him lol. Also part of the reason Dandy dislikes Shrimpo lol. Also also, Astro is a witch.
Also also also, here's the emo Goob my sibling became when discussing vampires. He unemos when he becomes a weredog lol.

Below is a buncha doodles all about Glisten (and his failing mental health).
TW FOR UNINTENTIONAL S.H. PROCCED WITH CAUTION:

You guys know Wiggle from Bugsnax? You guys know Millie from Helluva Boss? Yeah. They were the main inspos for this design hc lol (the buck teeth part not the insecurity part).

I have this goofy hc that Glisten's og design never intended to give him buck teeth. When being made, the ichor messed up and gave it to him. Learning about this is his first instance of feeling insecure about himself, and he develops the mannerism of covering his mouth when laughing (bc it makes his teeth really obvious lol)
And since Glisten now has buck teeth, that means Shimmer also gets buck teeth! However, her reaction to them was completely different to how her dad reacted to his.

I have this hc that Glisten can't handle backlash that well. With the machine messing up with his face (his teeth), and his general vibe being disliked by many people of the time of Gardenview (prob bc the 90s and very queer-coded kids' character didn't exactly mix well), he feels this crippling pressure to be the "perfect" version of himself.
If he deems you lower than him, your words don't matter. He doesn't care what you think about him
However, if he views you as an equal or higher, any kind of negative opinion said to him will be taken personally, and will either be repressed into self-hatred, or actively worked upon in order to be "better" (which ends up hurting him more depending on the situation.) His need for perfecting also makes him a workaholic when in a spiral, leading him to self-isolate and just kinda hide away from everyone for a couple days, and sometimes injure himself trying to get better on his own (he has a tendency to scratch his arms and face too, only fueling his need for isolation).
He refuses to open the door and get food outside, so ppl will slide him snacks and things under the door. People still care about him, but he'll never them see him cry.
Glisten has such horrid insecurity that he will never let anyone see. However, not everything is bleak for the guy.

Shimmer: Hey Dad! Guess what!? My teeth grew in! Now I look like you! Isn't that cool?!
She was not born with them unlike Glisten. Instead, they grew in near her "10th" birthday. She was very happy to have them. I like to think that seeing Shimmer be so happy to have a very sensitive trait of Glisten and loving every second of it helps him heal a bit of his insecurity.
After all, how can he hate a part of himself that his kid adores?
Kids don't fix everything, but they can aid in healing lol
Have a good one dudes^^

Quick concept for Gant - Shirai, a mantis shrimp based monster for Monster Hunter
Other thing off the top of my head:
It has some water spitting attacks that inflict Waterblight. If the punches connects while you have Waterblight, instant Blast proc
Turf War with Brachydios (because of course): They trade blows with the Gant Shirai having the upper hand, dodging and blocking the Brachydios punches, putting it on the backfoot. The Gant Shirai winds up for its knock out blow, only for the slime that Brachydios has left on the ground and on the Gant-Shirai body to explode, interupting its attack and opening it up for the Brachydios to land a jaw-shattering uppercut in return.
Armor Skills: mostly status and evade oriented. MR special version grant a skill like Frostcraft, giving you a bar that's charged when not attacking as well as when effectively dodging, and spent when attacking or getting hit. The bar increase Status chance and Status ammounts the higher it is.

Linux update! (And a few Nvidia tips)
After a dreadful day of trying to make this work, I'm reporting that The Sims 2 finally works on my new Linux system! 😭❤️ Admittedly I have made my own life harder setting this up, but the most important thing I've learned from this experience and thought it might worth sharing:
Before you try to install TS2 on your Linux, make sure that you have your graphics card's driver updated!
When I first installed The Sims 2 on Linux it was incredibly laggy and choppy, because the default Nouveau driver didn't work well enough with my Nvidia card. After I installed the Nvidia driver from the built in driver manager, the game just straightup crashed.
Then I had to find out that Mint's driver manager couldn't install the newest driver for my card (RTX 3070), and even when installed, it didn't work. 😂
So if you have an Nvidia card and struggling or planning to install Linux in the future, below the cut are a few useful tips that I've discovered in the depths of the Internet:
Check what driver the official Nvidia site recommends for your GPU. - I did this and it showed driver version 570.
2. I think this is optional, but open your terminal and type the cmd: sudo apt update - this will trigger Linux to update its driver list.
3. Open Driver Manager, and see if the recommended driver (570 in my case is available). For me it was not available, only the 550, this was my issue.
3.1. If you can see your required driver, awesome, install it from the driver manager and skip to step 5. 3.2. If not, you have to use this PPA. -> Meaning you have to open your terminal and enter the following commands (when I list multiple commands to run, first type the first one, press enter, then type the next one, press enter etc.): sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ ppa sudo apt update You can also find installation guide on the link above, but it's basically this. 4. Now you have to restart your system, and repeat Step 3. of this list. The newest driver should show up in your Driver Manager now, install it.
5. After installing, open your terminal and type the following command: inxi -G -> this will allow us to check if the driver works properly. Shock, it did not for me :D When working properly, it should look like this:
Display: x11 server: X.Org v: 21.1.11 with: Xwayland v: 23.2.6 driver: X: loaded: nvidia gpu: nvidia,nvidia-nvswitch resolution: 1:1920x1080~60Hz 2: 1920x1080~60Hz When not working, it looks like this: Example 1: Display: x11 server: X.Org v: 21.1.11 with: Xwayland v: 23.2.6 driver: X: loaded: nouveau unloaded: fbdev,modesetting,vesa failed: nvidia
6. This is the thread that helped me fix this problem. You have to scroll down to the Nvidia Graphics troubleshooting tips.
7. I had to add this "kernel boot parameter": nvidia_drm.fbdev=1 into the system. On this link you can see how to add it either temporarily or "permanently" (meaning you don't have to add it every time you start your system, but it is removable).
To add it permanently, you have to type the following commands into your terminal:
sudo nano /etc/default/grub GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash nvidia_drm.fbdev=1" sudo update-grub
8. After you added it, reboot your system, and when it starts again, check if the parameter is there with the command: cat /proc/cmdline
9. If it's there, run the inxi -G command again, and see if it looks like it should.
10. If not, you might have to update the Kernel version of your Linux, which you can do in the Update Manager/View/Linux Kernels menu. I had to update mine from 6.8 to 6.11.
After all this you should be good to install the game, I made my life so much harder than it was necessarily so I hope my research on how to deal with an Nvidia Graphics card with Sims 2 on Linux is helpful to some of you. 😂

ZeLink - Post-Calamity [Zelda Proxy Project]
Artist Credit: Michingeaa & Ariettys_Art
Support Ariettys_Art further here: Ariettys
These proxies represent a Link and Zelda that we meet at the start of Breath of the Wild, the Hero of the Wild that delves into the Shrines and Defeats Calamity Ganon and the Princess Zelda that provided Link with the Sheikah Slate and has been actively sealing Calamity Ganon away for the past 100 years.
While this Zelda can act as a commander for my wife's Zelda-themed commander deck, seeing as it has a GW color identity already, the intention of this pairing is to be played in the "Pride Commander" format, a version of commander where you treat all commanders as if they have the "Partner" ability, thus allowing you to use any two commanders together for your deck. With Zelda providing link with creatures to proc his abilities or Map tokens to fix a man-screwed hand, much like Zelda provides vital support to Link in Breath of the Wild.
This Hero of the Wild proxy even features the creation of a wolf token, which I thought would be fitting as Wolf Link from Twilight Princess is available as a companion in Breath of the Wild.

Spoilers for Patch 5 and the whole game.
I posted my thoughts about the new ending Gale got in patch 5 on Reddit first, but I might as well post it here with some revisions. I'll say it, I love the god Gale ending. But it is NOT his good ending to me. Before I would never have pursued it, but now it is tantalizing to say the least. I'm into it though Gale the mortal is still my preference.
"Gale Dekarios cuts a poor figure next to the wizarding prowess of 'Gale of Waterdeep. You like so many things about me I'd have sooner discarded…"
By ascending Gale, you are killing Gale Dekarios. The nerd that hits on you in front of everyone while you're covered in zombie blood, procced to infodump an entire tangent to complement you, and yet somehow stick the landing to hit you with the most romantic poetry you've ever heard. A sensitive man who wears his emotions on his sleeve and wants to make the world a more beautiful place. An artist of the weave and a poet. The owner of the most overbearing tressym in the world. The moment the spell was complete, Gale Dekarios died and Gale the divine was born.
Even then, why is god Gale now so enticing to me unlike ascended Astarion? Because he loves you. He wants you by his side as an equal. It's actually sweet and romantic, just like all of Gale's romance is. I'm nothing if not a sucker for a romance.
"Follow my Lead" "Show me more. Show me it all." "I want you to seize the crown and make us a new world"
BeMyGod is the name in the data file for the boat scene where Gale asks you if you'll be with him when he seizes the crown. I know file names can be arbitrary, but if you agree to his proposal, you really are asking Gale to be your god. It's so easy to say yes. You're in the stars, Gale says I want to show you so much more, but it's not worth it without you. All you need to do is say yes. You're angry at Mystra who demanded so much of Gale, caused him such suffering and won't lift a finger to help. So You say yes. You love him. He loves you.
When Gale ascends, even in 6 months he is a different entity. The devs indicate: "His posture/demeanor here should feel slightly more aloof/detached than the regular Gale - he's been immortal for six months, his ego is as powerful as his magic. The real Gale's insecurities still lurk beneath his godlike confidence, as does his love for the player, but this is clearly a Gale setting out on a darker path."
The Gale here is a twisted version of the one we loved. His flaws are worse, he good traits have mostly disappeared. Namely his kindness and tolerance to deprecating humor. He no longer tolerates any perceived slight or jab. He doesn't let go of his bitterness towards Mystra. His ego is large yet fragile. You saw a glimpse of it at the ritual circle scene if you succeed in upstaging him in magic. Now it's only gotten worse. Yes even his insecurity. If you rejected him after accepting the proposal, Gale says this.
Tav: No, I think it's the end. What happened to the man I once loved? Gale: He's the god he deserves to be. I achieved everything we hoped I would, and still I'm not good enough for you?
He's also lonelier than ever. His last 6 months were in isolation, with nobody he could trust while dealing with the crown and celestial politics. Immortals don't really have friends. They have allies and lovers. He stops talking to his mother who was so dear to him. He develops a spell to polymorph people into Tara, his oldest friend who rejects him after ascension. He then develops a spell that summons Shadowdark ale and forces people to dance and be happy, just like the vignette he told you about the Yawning Portal. The third spell is Power word: Ruin. he's finally back to speaking death into being with a single word, just like he used to.
Gale wanted to be a god to make a better world, but now he's a neutral god answering prayers from any alignment. He doesn't care if they are Thayan wizards aiming for lichdom or unscrupulous Amnian merchants. Ambition is a neutral idea. Ambition also drives healers to develop a cure. For adventurers to slay monsters.
What's the most noticeable remaining good trait in Gale? Gale still loves you. He's much nicer to you if romanced. He refuses to be with you if you don't go with him because he doesn't want to hurt you. He admires your good heart if you want to honor the pact with Raphael. He calls you my love just like before. He will fulfill the promise sealed that night in the astral sea. All you have to do is say yes. And the ascension cinematic is a callback to the romance scenes from before.
"Follow my lead. Close your eyes. I have so much more to show you."
And you know what. I'll go with you. Even if we will eventually lose both our humanity in our folly, and dreams become nightmares. Even if I'll come to regret that night when I said yes to the mortal you, I don't want you to be lonely. Where ever you go, I'll go. You'll always have me. And I'll always have you.
As God Gale would say… "A toast then, to our myriad ambitions. May we each get what we deserve."

Pro Gamer Tip for the DLC: for some reason unknown to God or man, they made the Bloodfiend's Arm infusable despite having native bleed buildup, which means you can make a Bloodfiend's Blood Arm that doubles down on the bleed as well as making both the native and added bleed scale with Arcane (also the base physical damage actually scales more with Arcane than Strength, lol). what this means in normal people terms is that you can make a build that procs bleed after one (1) fully charged heavy attack, which itself comes out dummy fast because you're using the Great Club moveset. throw on Endure for consistency + damage mitigation or Royal Knight's Resolve if you got that dawg in you, offhand a Dragon Communion Seal with a casual 363 Incant Scaling and yassified versions of Lightning Spear and Pest Threads in case anything looks at you funny from outside bonking range, and go apeshit
#elden ring#also the Fire Knight Helm has the same passive as Erdtree's Favor +0 and stacks multiplicatively with other HP/stamina/equip load buffs

I'm not late you're late - New Shit Overview - Limbus Company - BP EGO:
Overview of all the Battle Pass EGO, plus with nice art from various artists i follow, that being said
please follow and support the original artists, all art is credited, with links to original artist source + other main accounts.
No the art isn't strictly necessary but I like using this as an excuse to shoutout some artists i like
Yearning - Mircalla Meursault:

Src: Project Moon (yes this is the PV, Art of this hasn't come across my dash/feed on any media i use for art :(, this is a placeholder, i'll probably make something for this)
can roll for up to 29 if the enemy has 12 bleed, rolls for 21 without conditionals this is essentially a better version of Sanguine desire rodion it is able to proc bleed-damage 5 times when being used, which is higher than the 2x damage that Sanguine Desire Rodion can deal, not to mention the fact that Rodion Deals lust damage while Meursault deals flat (bleed) damage
even more: Meursault's EGO needs 4+ resonance, not 4+ Absolute Resonance as Rodion does for highest results
This EGO also has a unique effect: Rose Wedge:
""Basically"" Max count is 4: This effect's count is applied through Meursault's EGO, up to a max of 4; Count is reduced at round en Max Potency is 10: Every time the unit with this effect takes 10 Bleed damage, increase potency by one. When this unit gains bleed through getting hit, inflict 1 bleed on attacker and 2 bleed on self. At 10 Potency, also gain +1 bleed count. [Combat end]: At either 10 Potency or 1 count, this effect expires, and deals [Potency x10] lust damage to this unit (max 100 Lust damage) if this effect kills, deal [Potency x2] Lust damage to all this unit's allies.
This unique effect on its own deals roughly half of Rodion's sanguine desire's lust damage effect.
This EGO also shares the same finale effect as Sanguine Desire: dealing the excess damage (on fourth coin specifically, so if it kills coins 1-3 then this effect will not proc) to all other allies of that unit.
Corrosion:
this EGO corrosion makes use of Meursault's predisposition for High-HP ID's, as it consumes 10% of his own Max HP in order to deal 5% of his max hp (or rather the consumed HP/2) to all allies and enemies.
This effect does not trigger below 50% hp however, in which case he will add 5 bleed to all allies, before activating bleed on all allies and healing for the damage done (minimum (assuming 6 sinners) 30 HP, Max (assuming all allies have 99 Bleed potency) 594 HP healed)
The corrosion rolls for a whopping 1 higher than the awakening, at 30 (with conditionals)
This EGO, when corroding, does not require the same 4+ resonance that the awakening does for the first 2 Bleed damage-trigger effects, the final coin's triple trigger however does require said 4 Resonance.
The third coin of corrosion saves you some time, as if the enemy did not have Rose Wedge prior to it being inflicted, it inflicts an additional 4 potency, meaning only 60 bleed damage must occur for max damage.
-
My primary concern for this EGO is that of Bleed-count sustainability, i know that vampires are literally the bleed 'counts' but still (i am so sorry).
Namely because, the coin effect of the triple bleed activation requires a clash win, meaning that it cannot work against staggered targets; This is notable as it means the enemy requires at least 7 bleed count prior to Meursault beginning his clash, otherwise all bleed count will be consumed (1 or more from clashing, 1 each from coins 1 and 2, and then up to three from the final effect). Meursault's best bleed EGO, Rhino, is however excellent at applying bleed, as are many other ID's, the only problem therin being that those ID's have a tendency to be less effective regarding bleed potency that not.
This EGO, although i actually already wrote on it slightly in the past, makes me think about what is it that Meursault is so longing for in order to use this EGO; I know there's the line of thought with carnal desires relating to Marie back in the book, but id argue that its likely to be more than that, as if it was purely desire-driven then Heathcliff or Ishmael would have been better fits for the EGO.
His passive heals him for like up to 10 HP per turn, equal to the amount of bleed damage he deals/takes or something, i only noticed i didn't mention this at all in final editing
Yearning - Mircalla Don Quixote:

Src:@NishikujiC on twitter
This EGO rolls for up to 12 without conditionals. Coin power gained based on enemy bleed, up to 2, allows for this ego to roll for 23. And this EGO gains clash power based on BLOODFEAST CONSUMED BY **SELF** (which Don Quixote is currently unable to do, until she gains her season ID presumably) all together this EGO can clash for 23 currently, and 28 when she gets her seasonal ID.
This EGO deals more damage for each coin based on **Cumulative** Bloodfeast Consumed, which includes all allies and enemies. All coins share the same damage increase ratio, being 1% per 10 Bloodfeast Consumed (shared), or 0.1x per 1.
Coin 1 maxes out at 10% increase, requiring 100 Bloodfeast consumed; Coin 2 At 20%, needing 200. Coin 3 at 30%, needing 300. Coin 4 at 50%, needing 500 total bloodfeast consumed.
This EGO also has a unique effect, Polydipsic Rose:
Max Value: 5 Turn end: If this unit has 10+ bleed potency, take 1% max HP lust damage per value (maximum 30 Lust damage per value), then reduce value by one.
The awakening EGO applies 4 of this effect, which will deal a total of 10% max hp Lust damage (max 300 Lust damage) over its duration.
The Corrosion EGO applies 5, dealing a total of 15% max HP Lust damage (Max 450 Lust damage)
When used in Corrosion:
this EGO will roll for 30, being a negative coin EGO. It additionally has the Yaoi-Meursault effect of unyielding until the skill is finished, where her HP cannot drop below 1.
On use, gain 20 bleed, activate bleed on self, and reduce bleed count on self by 2; this can theoretically be useful for removing potentially fatal bleed count on self, however i believe its intended use is to instead stack more latent bloodfeast for the bloodfiend ID's to use.
Funnily enough, due to her passive "Spring Crimson Blossom", she is less likely to roll heads if this EGO has been used previously this combat, as she will heal a whopping 2 SP due to the 20 bleed damage on self.
This EGO corrosion is able to inflict 22 bleed potency, 2 through a [before attack] effect if under 150 bloodfeast; 1 for every 50 Bloodfeast consumed (total) up to a max of 10 and 500 consumed. 10 inflicted when under 100 bloodfeast.
on the second coin, it deals 20% increased damage for every 100 total Bloodfeast consumed, up to a max of 100% increase. additionally, this EGO will heal Don for 50% of the damage that coin dealt, exactly like Le Sangre De Sancho, except this healing is maxed at 10 per target, for a max of 70 healing. 70 Healing is nothing to scoff at in the slightest, but at the same time, the other self healing-damage dealing EGO in the game, Wingbeat, can consistently heal Ishmael to full HP Moreso, other healing EGO arent limited by the targetable enemies, making this far less useful than other healing EGO in any non-group battle situation, maybe if she had some sort of gimmick like meursault where she had 14 attack weight but only healed/dealt bleed damage on allies? idk.
Her passive heals for 1 SP every time 10 bleed damage occurs, maxed at 10.
Lasso Faust:

Src: @stellar-jasper Stellar_jasper Linktree
this EGO rolls for 13 without conditionals. This EGO gains power based on enemy rupture and speed, being able to roll for 22 total.
Before attack: Gain 2 Haste next turn.
This EGO is count negative by one, as it inflicts +2 on coin 1 of three.
This EGO's passive works well with Seven Ass. Faust due to having the same: "after attack, if enemy is staggered or defeated". This EGO passive is also able to inflict rupture count, being +1 count on 2 enemies
Lasso Hong Lou:

Src: @stellar-jasper Stellar_jasper linktree
This EGO rolls for 12 without conditionals. With conditionals (total speed (self speed + Enemy speed) and enemy Rupture) this ego rolls for 24.
This EGO is ALSO count negative, inflicting *up to* (based on glut. Resonance) +3 count on coin 3 of four.
its weird that PM has been trying to make Rupture-Bleed a thing since season 1, back with Ebony Queen's stem.
This EGO is interesting? its Rupture count negative, it inflicts rupture based on own speed?
This EGO also has an effect (Lasso Faust corrosion shares this effect but i CBA): "Lasso"
Lasso: Round end, gain rupture potency equal to speed value (max 5), then reduce count by one and gain 1 bind next turn
....
....why does it inflict based on speed count... when it drops their speed count? it drops their speed count...
This EGO actually rolls lower during corrosion, being 23 rather than 24.
In corrosion this EGO inflicts 1 extra HP healing down and Lasso effect, while inflicting 1 less rupture count (due to it losing a coin it remains at -1 count total) and +2 bleed count.
I rather like the correlation between roses and bloodfiends, linking the Rose-hunter's into being the bloodfiend hunters as only bloodfiend hunters (and also season 1's R.B. Chef de Cuisine Ryōshū) possess this effect.
The only flaw in that correlation however is that the "rose" aspect of the hunter is not it searching for roses, the "rose" descriptor is self referential, it is instead hunting apples.
on the final coin only, deal 1% more damage for every rupture, and the same effect for bleed, for a potential 60% increase total.
I don't like rupture very much so i don't have too many thoughts on that aspect, however, i am somewhat interested in the thematic surrounding this Abnormality, including both Faust and Hong Lou, alongside the fact that it was included in Don Quixote's Dungeon and Canto. Specifically, other than the obvious fairy tale motif shared by Don herself, it has the trait of a supposed "predetermined story" of sorts, as seen through both the awakening EGO lines:
Follow the predetermined path of the tale. Be ensnared, for that is only right.
Run along the flow and voilà~ There you are!
This can be related to Don herself acting "how a fixer should act" in her belief, upholding, and attempting to prove the justness of her version of justice, and her dismay when something should slight that (eg. during the casino scene of canto 2).
there is more elaboration to be made in a follow up post, i would normally write it here, however i like to avoid cross-contamination with when i discuss spoilers/new content
Hex Nail sinclair:

(There were others i just wanted an excuse to shout this artist out) Src:@shroomychan.bsky.social @Myceliumycete on tumblr
Rolls for 21 max.
Hits up to 3 enemies.
Inflicts up to 4 curse (2 min. 4 max.) and inflicts 3 nails. this EGO also consumes 2 curse on hit, and activates both those curse-effects immediately. At 4+ curse, inflict 1 same turn clash power down for some reason its clarified that it can only inflict the clash power down once per turn which.... its a 2 coin skill so Rusty Commemorative Coin doesn't work... and it's an EGO so you can't use it twice in a turn?
Corrosion:
this EGO rolls for a 25 in corrosion, becoming a negative coin skill.
the conditional for maximum curse is now removed, being 4 by default; the first coin also applies one more bleed potency. (3)
if 4+ envy resonance, this skill will inflict 1 clash power down (still same turn). For some reason the in game text feels the need to clarify "4+ envy resonance including this skill" which... yeah? that's how resonance works? None of the other EGO released this batch have these weird additional sections in their coin effects, its only Hex Nail(s)? All of the others just say "for/if X+ resonance"
additionally, this skill will have attack weight 3 by default instead of requiring envy resonance (for every 3 envy resonance INCLUDING THIS SKILL gain attack weight +1)
Passive: Gain Clash power up and defense level up if this unit has a negative effect on self at round start... This EGO doesn't have any self inflicted negative effects? Not even the corrosion has any self negative effects? Sinclair doesn't even have a self-negative effect ID yet? and i don't see him getting a bloodfiend ID for self-bleed shenanigans? idk.
ok now let me Nail Sincla
Hex Nail Rodion:

Src: minji_mj2802 on twitter Minji_mj's Carrd
Rolls for 24
After attack will heal SELF AND 2 OTHERS for 15% of THIS UNIT'S max HP. Note two things, the fact that this will always heal self (which pursuance is unable to do) and heals based on own max HP, unlike other Healing EGO like Meursault's Pursuance which heals the other sinners max HP.
Each unit being healed will heal 2.5% HP for every negative effect on self (max 10% increase to healing)
Heals self and three allies at 4+ envy resonance [[INCLUDING THIS SKILL]].
inflicts 4 Bleed, 3 curse, 3 nails.
in corrosion, this EGO rolls for 28 as a negative coin skill.
This attack will heal 3 other allies and self for 20% of this unit's max HP. every unit this heals will gain 1 offence level up for every negative effect on self (max 3) this will also heal one additional ally at 4+ envy resonance **[[INCLUDING THIS SKILL]]**
Passive:
When this unit inflicts bleed or unique bleed against an enemy with non EGO attack skills, inflict 1 defence level down (once per turn) Also inflict 2 additional bleed if target already possessed bleed or unique bleed.
If an ally, including self, takes unblocked HP damage from "the" enemy, inflict 1 curse against said enemy (2 times per turn)
I want to point out the fact that the description says from "the" enemy? i'm assuming this means that once you hit someone they gain curse if they attempt to attack someone back? Also, i'm fairly sure that Rodion is now the first to have 3 He EGO? we need someone to get a third Zayin, fourth Teth, fourth He, or second Waw to break the records now i guess
Now there are some interesting things to note about Hurting teddy bear as a whole so lets give that its own heading:
Hex Nail Primogenitor Hurting Teddy Bear:
Or i suppose happy teddy bear is the ancestor so it should be just progenitor? or is the well the primogenitor? im overthinking this.
So lets start with obvious observations: The correlation that can be made with voodoo dolls, the common idea of a cursed doll that you insert nails into, hence the status effect "Curse" first being present in this abnormalities EGO and only later appearing in another archetypically "haunted" or "Cursed" thematic of Bygone Days.
While 'Happy Teddy Bear' was a toy that was abandoned by its owner, the Hurting Teddy Bear seems to not have the same kind of integrality with its owner that its progenitor had, due to the lack of any direct mention of its owner. Rather, 'Hurting Teddy Bear' seems to be indicative of abuse or being controlled by another in life, represented through a clearly abused and neglected toy — It's less directly clear as to how this relates to Faust's past as we know, to use to technical term, "absolutely fucking nothing" about her past; Rodion's relation can be seen in her sprite and animation, with her use of the bear as a puppet (or the puppets control of her during corrosion), this is related to social determinism*, wherein the circumstances of neglect and abuse that surrounded Rodion within her past were the direct cause of her crime of murdering the pawn shop owner. we can too see this in the Corrosion line:
Now, little Rodya. Hurt them with your own hands. Fuhu, ta-da!
The obvious correlation to be made being "Hurt them with your own hands". This concept of puppetry extends in two more aspects, the first of which being Rodion's base EGO: What is Cast. specifically referring to her line during said EGO, which reinforces my posited argument with the abuse controlling her:
I couldn't undo a thing
'She' couldn't undo a thing, 'she' wasn't the one who was in control.
as for the second, i have yet to see this for myself but from what i've heard: while her face during the corrosion's idle sprite is normally somewhat dour, if zoomed in on, her expression changes to that of a normal, cheery Rodion. This can be interpreted as the consequences/circumstances of Rodion's abuse and past still controlling how she behaves to this day, while still in this company, a concept that is a fairly common sentiment ive seen as her story is far from finished.
The awakening sprite could be representative of this in reverse, her harm towards those who ARE corrupt and immoral.
Sinclair is much more direct, being the concept of abuse and exploitation by Kromer, and to some extent im sure neglect by his family — This doesn't explain the entirety of this EGO however, as the line's do not support this entirely:
Why don't you try impaling yourself with it, then. Feel what it's like to have someone curse you…
Now that you're torn, I'll sew you up! Heheh… Get over here!
Rather than just being *the* abuse that Sinclair has suffered, i believe that, while downstream of that idea, the most accurate representation is the embodiment of resentment, hatred at others who abused him over time, his seething wrath.
of course my theory is discounted because this EGO doesn't use Wrath resources.

Nebula devblog, July '24
Sneaking in this month's update two days before August due to Nova Lands eating an entire week of dev time and Warframe eating another 2 days. It's a hard life. This one will probably be a bit patchy or sparse as I have genuinely lost track of what was new this month due to leaving it this late. I am a highly trained and competent professional.
Nebula SS13 is an open source project based on the Baystation 12 version of Space Station 13. SS13 is a topdown multiplayer simulation game where you play the crew of a ship, station, colony, etc. depending on your fork and map, with the Nebula and Bay forks having a focus on roleplaying and simulation interactions.
Notable changes
The first phase of a major AI rewrite has gone in, separating AI behavior from mob type so human-type mobs can be given AI. This is mostly to support undead and skeletons on Pyrelight at the moment, but will be much more flexible in general going forward.
Simple wall-based windows/shutters have been added for low tech maps that need airflow and light. Penny's genius idea of having them cast a light cone towards the darker side of the shutter makes for some very aesthetic medieval interiors.
Spacefarers, a ship-based fork, has a new ship, and the painfully tricky shuttle rotation PR Penny has been working on is slowly progressing towards a mergable state. When it goes in, manual ship landing will be greatly expanded as shuttles will be able to rotate to match docking ports, instead of having to strictly dock in the same direction every time.
The atom temperature system has been disabled in several cases due to a lot of weird edge cases and bugs in the simulation. It needs more time in the oven. The disabled interactions include things like all of your blood congealing into black pudding if you stand on a stove, being able to instantly heat a beaker of beer to 5000K with a cigarette lighter, or all of your clothes melting off in a fire.
Penny has also put a bunch of work in to moving most of the 'classic' Baystation SS13 game modes into modpacks. This allows forks to pick and choose which are available, since as funny as it could have been, having high tech spacer mercenaries landing on Middle-Earth wouldn't fit the vibes.
Lots of small changes and features have been coming out of the Pyrelight fantasy map testing. Little things like honey being usable for wound disinfection, various crafting tweaks, and things like flooded turfs not putting out your lamp unless it's deeper than your waist.
Automated movement that previously relied on BYOND's inbuilt walk_to() procs now use a dedicated subsystem that calls the appropriate MayMove()/DoMove() proc chains. This essentially just means AI-driven mobs no longer completely ignore little things like pain, having working legs, or being dead or unconscious when chasing you.
Bugs of note
Trout were completely invisible because their main texture was accidentally named world-trout instead of world. This definitely impacted the trout population.
Undead on Pyrelight don't know how to pick up their weapons if they drop them, so disarming them literally or figuratively makes it turn into a slapfight.
Prosthetic limbs, like cybernetics or peglegs, were getting itchy or developing rashes. Maybe it's psychosomatic.
Simple animals like deer were dying en masse on the wilderness maps due to hail. We didn't intend for hail to be the size of hen eggs and covered in spikes, so deer and such are now unhurt by weather.
Current priorities
Personally my focus has been on getting through the Pyrelight feedback list after each test. Lots of small things come out of each test round and my limited time after my real-world job has cut into my space feature time. The Neb general issue list has been getting a bit long so I'll probably put a weekend into getting that cut down again this month.
Otherwise, I have three big PRs open waiting for me to find the focus to finish them: the floor rewrite (aiee), a wizard modpack and ability rework (needed for Pyrelight, eventually, but augh), and a bee rewrite (beewrite) to make bees and other insect nests available outside of one specific machine on space maps.
NataKillar has an amazing PR in the works that sounds quite mundane: separating liquid and solid reagents in reagent containers like beakers. However, this opens up a buttload of interesting chemical interactions down the track, not the least of which is finally getting ice cubes to not require a dedicated ice material.

I am, as a Captain Nemo fan since my youth (due to a 'Childrens Illustrated Classics' version of 20k Leagues), eating extremely well this Lostbelt, thank you Nasu.
It's something that's interesting, that for some events and chapters, Nemo and his respective Series have served more as plot devices and 'utility' mechanisms than normal characters, they're there quite literally to staff the Storm Border and keep it running, at times they're more part of the background than one of Guda's main Servants (and they're not even Guda's Servant! They're Sion's!).
Like I said, I've loved Nemo since that start, so I'm not actually well read on other player's opinions on them, but I actually imagine that their (relatively) constant presence over time might endear them more to players than if they were just an exception one-chapter/event connection, and with Nemo having more steady development throughout Arc 2 (primarily in LB4 and Imaginary Scramble). Which thus makes the death of the crybaby Marine (as well as the recognition that five have been lost prior) and the destruction of the Storm Border resulting in the disabling of the Captain hits harder, having someone(s) that was a steady presence suddenly being taken off the board, that which they built being broken apart, and then the subsequent permanent loss of one of their crew.
And that's something that's really great, leading into the Tlaloc fight, is that Nemo has Indomitable, his own unique Guts skill, which powers him up when it is activated and reflects that it is in the most desperate situations that his courage and skills shine through... which they then immediately do in the battle itself, with him being able to nullify Tlaloc's constant stun storms as long as he is on the field. She primarily targets him (except with her charged attack) but you can use this to proc Indomitable and/or redirect them with Mash's double taunt skills. And if you do use Leyline Stones, that stun-blocking passive stays with him on revive.
I also love how well FGO conveyed his anti-imperialist nature. And that he uses a gun in his 2nd Arts card.
#okay#this post isn't really much but me conveying my love and appreciation of Nemo#lostbelt 7#my posts#fate series#fate grand order

Script-A-Day #11: Bait and Switch by Jeremy
Shenanigans beget shenanigans beget shenanigans
Featured characters: Lycanthrope, Magician, Goon
Jinxes:
Lunatic/Mathematician: The Mathematician learns if the Lunatic attacks a different player(s) than the real Demon attacked.
NOTE: It’s a little unclear how to run Mathematician when the Lunatic didn’t wake up on a night the Demon did, and vice versa. Some STs (like myself) will ping the Mathematician only if the Lunatic actually attacked someone (since that’s the malfunctioning ability in question), while others will ping the Mathematician on any discrepancy in the kill selections. Make a decision, and tell your players how you’ll run this jinx before playing.
Fang Gu/Scarlet Woman: If the Fang Gu chooses an Outsider and dies, the Scarlet Woman does not become the Fang Gu.
Complexity: Intermediate-Advanced. Recommended for players who are here for a good time, not a long time, and those who enjoy lying for fun and for glory.
Database link (find the PDF and JSON for running it there!) - Note that the most recent version (v6.0.0) is one that I don't think holds up as well. v5.0.0 is my preferred version of this script to play and run.
Writeup below the cut!
Bait and Switch is a silly, goofy time centering around the Lycanthrope and Evil’s various methods of defusing it. Good has some very strong info and potential to control the night deaths in Lycanthrope, but if evil can take advantage of the misinfo they have access to & can outfox the Lycanthrope through clever Innkeeper, Goon, or Recluse bluffs, it can lead the good team down some very, very wrong tunnels.
A lot of the good team is highly synergistic with each other. Lycan/Ravenkeeper in the same bag can let good proc the latter at the perfect time, and the Mathematician picks up on a surprising amount here, often being the key to solving the game. In exchange, the Witch and Cerenovus can kill and silence the info-gatherers the good team needs, the SW can give the Demon an out, and the Poisoner can make a right mess of everything.
There is no Spirit of Ivory on the script, so be careful when putting Fang Gu and Goon in the same bag. I’d avoid it entirely in smaller games, and would advise you to be very mindful in larger games. With the Goon in general - make sure both Good and Evil can turn them. 3/4 Minions choose a player each night, and there are only so many Fortune Tellers, Innkeepers, Lunatics, and Lycanthropes to go around.
Some notes:
Consider running the General on a 5-star scale (introducing thumb slightly up/down ratings for good/evil slightly winning) to more comprehensively capture the state of the game. There's a lot to pick up on, both socially and mechanically - your General will appreciate the clarity!
Make sure you know how to run the Lycanthrope + Pukka interaction! If the Lycanthrope kills a player, then the Pukka poisons the Lycanthrope, the previously poisoned player will die, resulting in a doublekill that night. This is very powerful for the good team, since it confirms the Demon is a Pukka and hard confirms the Lycanthrope. This will probably happen if you put the two in the bag at the same time, so be prepared for that and build the bag accordingly.
How do we feel mid-way through Mathematician week? A math "ping" is +1 to their number:
If a player gets false information due to Recluse misregistration or external drunkenness or poisoning, it pings the Math.
If a mechanical ability (e.g. Innkeeper, Lycanthrope) fails to function due to misregistration or external drunkenness or poisoning, it pings the Math.
If a killing ability fails to kill someone due to them being unable to die that night (via Innkeeper, Lycanthrope, or Goon), their ability pings the Math.
If the Fang Gu can't jump to an Outsider due to being Innkeeper-protected, the Fang Gu pings the Math.
Oh, yeah, and the Fang Gu / Scarlet Woman jinx does not ping the Math. There's an argument to be made that jinxes count as an abnormality, but it's kind of silly in this case - I wouldn't.
That's kinda it, actually? The Mathematician isn't particularly hard to run here. :P
This writeup was written before the Lycanthrope ability got updated. If you’re using that version of the ability (not pictured but mentioned in the Lunar Eclipse post), here are some quick interaction notes with the Faux Paw (the one good player that globally misregisters as evil):
They cannot misregister meaningfully to the Clockmaker
The Empath sees them as evil
The FT’s red herring cannot be on them
They must misregister to the Savant (so be careful with how you craft your info!)
The Seamstress sees them as evil
If they choose the Goon and become drunk, the Goon turns evil
Important: as written, the Faux Paw must misregister to the Mathematician, meaning that none of these interactions ping them. Strongly consider houseruling this so that the Mathematician can track it.
That's it from me! This script is super fun and very silly - take it for a spin! See you tomorrow!

howdy! Me again! ^-^
I was wondering, considering there’s cut data relating to an alternate version where at least Jackson survives, what do you think would play out with the mission and the rest of the plot?
Like, they’re slightly farther away or the pilot manages to put her down a little more gently, giving a few survivors (Jackson, Vasquez, Pelayo, and possibly Volker [the crew chief]) a chance to GTFO.
sorry if I’ve asked this before, and I hope your having a wonderful day! [|87
hahah, no.. its fine! I think you've never asked me this one before.. hmm... tho its a nice question. More probably that- both should've happen. Because mostly of their deaths was either because of the fall, or radiation in jackson's case. anyways In this case, gameplay wise, they would probably make the game procced with SAS again, as we think they're all dead with an ambiguous "death". And then we come back to Jackson. Your mission: "Find Volker" (or Vasquez, Pelayo..) something like in the end of MW2, as Soap walk slowly and badly hurt towards Shepherd, no weapon at all. Jackson can either be the one to fall and watch as we're dragged somewhere, or we drag a teammate we find. Yada Yada Yada, you guys are reunited again. They do some improvised bandages, while some of you try using comms. What the fuck was that? Jackson and his team discuss about it, almost with no hope of communication. Some are guilty about saving Cobra for nothing, traumatized for even trying regardless the warnings. Some are mad, angry.. sad.. what kind of superior would give them permission to a suicide mission? What do you think Jackson!? .... no response. Jackson is trembling, still in pain and fear. All we see as players in Jackson's vision is Jackson sitting down and looking into the abyss, vision bluring a little bit into the sides. They all cross arms, sit down.. stay in silence to think and- try relax their mind. Until they hear the comms working again (or someone finally managing to fix it). Alright, now things get blurry and hard to tell here. Jackson's team will either go into Task Force or Shadow Company, maybe rangers too, they can go into other operations like delta, but i think it would be intersting if they joined those. They cant just NOT accept joining them, because- well, they'll die if they dont. So some of them might have a salty relationship with Shepherd. Some might get KILLED by Shepherd if not all of them after this event. I mean, what if they worsen up Shepherd's reputation? How can shepherd be sure they wouldn't? They could be shepherd's victims. (jackson maybe surviving again, and joining price and soap at some point. Or stopping loose ends events. Something like that.)
I dont know... but damn, it would be a nice plot.

Was gonna make a big old post about how bad our gear is compared to where you would normally want it if you were considering doing significant amounts of Muspah but we realized it was kinda messy and difficult to explain so we're just gonna give the easy version and let you know our DPS is like 40% lower than that, unless we get crazy bolt procs, in which case it's like. 20% lower. It takes us about 4 minutes average for each kill since we ran out of dragon bolts.
#We've spent like 75h on the boss including deaths#we should have 11 of the thing we need 5 of#we have 3#we're over rate since our last one again#OSRS

I’ve had this unit concept bouncing around in my mind for the Hypothetical Fire Emblem Game I’ll Never Make we all have for a while now, comprised of the following personal attributes:
- “Roboticist” - unremovable personal skill that allows unit to act like an fe8 summoner, though robots would be akin to Lyn doubles in that they would have identical stats and skills to the user bar their HP stat, 1. Their equipped weapon would be a saw (robot-exclusive weapon type, like the automata from Fates) based on the weapon rank of the user’s equipped weapon (standard iron/steel/silver sort of progression, filled in by a cav-effective saw between iron and steel, a magic saw between steel and silver and a brave saw at S).
- In this game, each unit would have a “personal overclass”, which can be entered by using an “Overseal” at Lv20 in a specific promoted class (e.g. this game’s version of Anna would be able to enter Master Merchant by using an Overseal at Lv20 Trickster). Upon reaching Lv20 Mechanist, this unit would be able to overclass into the “Rossumova” class (named for the piece of fiction that invented the word “robot”), an upgraded version of Mechanist with staff access and the following class skills:
- “Co-Pilot” - units with this skill can do Fates-style dual-strikes with one another (i.e. this unit and their robots)
- “Grey Goo Scenario” - difficulty balancing this skill is mostly why I’m writing in. The general gist is that this skill replaces (has a chance to replace?) an enemy defeated by a unit with this skill with an allied robot. This very obviously could be quite broken. A skill% proc chance could alleviate this slightly?

quark plays bg3 again [9/?]
The shadow-cursed lands keep turning up moments of wonder and horror back to back, and the whiplash definitely keeps Tav on her back foot for a lot of it.
The friendship version of the Act 2 scene with Gale is one of my favorite in the game. Tim Downie does such a wonderful job with his affect, riding that line between fatalistic and grimly hopeful (and wondering if that's allowed), and it means a great deal to Tav that he was willing to trust her with this moment of vulnerability. She's ride or die for that wizard, even if she doesn't understand 90% of what he's talking about.
I love this picture of the owlbear, that's all. And speaking of back-foot horrors, Tav gets to meet a second god and doesn't like this experience much either. Just because she puts her arm into the hole three times doesn't mean it has the right to drag her down into a tentacley fever dream! Even if Astarion's getting worried again on the outside.
Yurgir remains the source of the largest fight Tav and Astarion ever have. As per usual, I walked into this fight half-dead and inattentive, and I like the version that lets me free the displacer beast from his thrall, so Tav doesn't talk him into killing himself the way she does the three Thorms. This was also the first playthrough I went through the sequence with the rats just to see--super interesting! It did make me laugh that Yurgir turns right back around and makes another deal with Raphael, the dingdong. This was also the first time I procced the Balthazar fight via stealing his mother from the shelf, and the dialogue here made me laugh out loud. Mother-thief!
While the post-Araj version of the scene is Tav's canon, this playthrough I went through the post-Yurgir version. I love them both for different reasons, and Tav was again bowled over by the honesty and vulnerability here. While the relationship began with a mutual manipulation & a very transactional exchange of relief/protection, Tav wasn't forced to confront exactly how much she was using Astarion until she heard how Araj spoke about him. What Araj wanted was not entirely dissimilar from what Tav was getting out of the relationship, and it was a slap in the face that not only did Tav no longer want to use Astarion like that, she actually wanted more from him. The decision to step back from the physical actually comes as a great relief to her as well, even if I-the-player am still weak for kisses on demand. what if we kissed at the doorway to the shadowfell
The Dame Aylin sequence remains a triumph.
