I just wanted to make a post showcasing some of my favorite illustrations by Keith Thompson for the Leviathan Trilogy.

The art went so hard in these books, it’s crazy. The plot is basically an alternate universe WW1 about the major two powers, the Darwinists, and the Clankers. The Darwinists genetically engineered animals to fight for them creating huge flying whale battleships, while the Clankers made huge robot mechs and powerful guns. A few historical people and places show up in these books, like Nikola Tesla.

But my favorite parts of the books were the art, truly breathtaking, it was beautifully grotesque at times. But that’s not unexpected, after all Keith Thompson helped create the design of Moder from The Ritual!

Guilty Gear XX♯Reload Comic Anthology Translation: Try & Error

This is a comic from the Guilty Gear XX Sharp Reload Comic Anthology, which I have been translating. The original scans of this comic are by @tillman and can be found on archive.org

I don’t have anything to link to here either and I didn’t notice any details like last time so uhh…this comic actually made me laugh for the sheer implication that Axl and Bridget are ready and willing to participate in a political assassination attempt. Also that actually, nobody could tell the difference between them, he was kicked out because Ky just wasn’t supposed to be there. Lots of silly implications in this one.

I don't know if I'm getting needier, hornier, or gayer, but it's gotten to the point that an unproductive portion of my thoughts have become dedicated to butch fingers.

Some wonderful things to do with butch fingers:

- Nibble on them to stim

- Suck on them gently while she drives so I don't get impatient

- Present my tongue so she can pet it

- Clasp her palm between my hands to keep her close while I swirl my tongue between her fingers, sucking and bobbing my head while making direct eye contact with a terrible need emanating from deep within

- Have my babbling cut off when she needs my attention / wants me glassy-eyed by jamming her fingers past my lips

- lots more!!

Fans who love the character Adam could’ve been 🤝 fans who love the character Blake could’ve been

I literally started watching RWBY explicitly because someone told me I was exactly like Blake (this was when volume 2 was wrapping up) and I connected to her so much. I have complicated feelings about Adam (ie I saw him as Blake’s abusive ex from the get go even before it was confirmed due to coincidental similarities to a real life situation and projection but retrospectively love his character and want so much more from it) and I feel great kinship with Adam fans like you because of how mishandled these two characters were

I will maintain until the day I die that Adam’s weak writing also weakened Blake’s. Like sure, who’s gonna argue against a “kill the stalker abuser ex” story (ignoring the racism with Herculean effort)…but it could’ve been so much more. Breaking cycles of abuse while recognizing the humanity in the monsters that cycle creates, not boiling down solving racism to just “kill the crazies and nicely ask your oppressors to stop,” giving Blake a moral and physical challenge to overcome that would likewise flesh out her backstory, the list goes on.

Instead he dies a pathetic hate sink’s death and she becomes arm candy. Stellar stuff, no notes 🫠

Quick Review: Such Sharp Teeth by Rachel Harrison Rating: 5/5

I finally found a Rachel Harrison book I love! I knew I'd mesh with her writing under the right circumstances and Such Sharp Teeth was it! I loved Rory's voice and I loved the action and I loved the interpersonal drama with the other characters. Everything about it was just fantastic! If you're looking for a good werewolf book, definitely try this one!
