Claude Bonvent, a fake high class vampire with unknown origins. The 'fake' pertains to the fact that he's poor as all hell and only pretends to have familiarized himself with the finest of the fine of centuries past. He had never been a complete stranger to them, but only ever as arm candy, as thief, as someone who'd walked in and stuck around for as long as it took someone to realize 'hold on, who is this guy the son of again?'. Rosalind was the second child of the Whitlocks and easily blended into the background what with an elder brother that showed promise before her and twins following after her. There had always been a hefty weight, for as long as Rosalind could remember, to place her family name and reputation above all else. Above her passions, above her feelings, everything. No exceptions.

Growing up in a witch family was difficult enough with having to keep secrets from those that weren't in the know. It was another thing entirely to grow up in a family that stood at the helm of the council. Instilled on her was to know that wherever she went and whatever she did it would be met with scrutiny, from her parents first and the rest of the council second. At first Rosalind vied for her parents attention and approval, at a young age the blonde wanted to be of importance to them. She ultimately realized that if she wasn't first in line or a man, like her brother to take over, then they had no interest.

Rosalind fell into the background then with ease, withdrew completely and entertained the Whitlock title only when she had to. She followed rules, of course, but she didn't try as hard, didn't love magic as much, and she leaned into her passions of art. Sometimes she blames herself for the ignorance. For thinking the way her parents pushed the eldest was not her problem. When she first heard of his death she couldn't help the blame that consumed her. That still does.

Not long after his funeral she was in her father's study agreeing to learn, agreeing to take over, even if it wasn't what she had planned for herself. Rosalind needed to make the loss count for something. She just had to.

Alexander & Isabella Whitlock — Younger siblings, she adores them though not always vocal about it. Feels like they've definitely grown more closer since the death of their eldest brother. Rosalind wants to protect them from the council and wants them to live their best life.

TBD: Her ex. Rosalind was with him for years and doesn't think she'll love someone the same. Not one to be completely open with someone but was with him. Immediately ended things with him after her brother passed. In a sense doesn't want to get him involved with whatever her life becomes now that she's next in line.

Asiye Erdoğan: Old childhood friends, Rosalind remembers their time together fondly and just how quickly it was tattered to shreds. Asiye's parents were exiled by the council, but more specifically by Walter Whitlock. With the return of Asiye and her family in the city Rosalind vouched for their return and a treaty was created to reallow them back into the city. Of course with conditions. Rosalind is elated to have been a part of change and to have her friend return.

Rosalind loves creating art and it is her go to stress relief at any given time. She has a makeshift studio in her apartment and also one at her family home.

She can't cook for shit and is an average baker at best. Sometimes she will stress bake and have 2 dozen cookies with more than half of them rock hard.

She currently works at a museum as a curator all the while making sure the pieces are protected from others who try to pass off fakes during transport.

Obsessed with coffee, will always claim that if she lived another life she'd be a barista has a whole set up with the machine and everything. Is in a mood if she doesn't have her first coffee of the day.

Hello and welcome to the tumblr blog for the Stranger Things Roleplay Discord Server! What a mouthful.

This blog is essentially for managing entry and applications for the discord server I'm going to make for the RP community here to join. As a lot of you know, it's very easy to hit post limit as a RP blog on tumblr, and that's something we won't have to worry about on Discord. Tumblr also doesn't have a group chat feature and Discord is a solution for that as well.

Now, here's a rundown of how this server will be:

18+ ONLY. No minors will be allowed into this server. Full stop. Please do not lie about your age. If you do and mods find out, you will immediately be kicked with NO opportunity for reentry. Ever.

Literate roleplay only. This means writing your thread replies in full, third person paragraphs with proper grammar and spelling. There will be a "group chat" channel where characters can essentially "text" each other in first person. However, for proper threads, no first person or asterisk roleplay.

Each person can have a maximum of one canon character. There are a lot of people who want to be in this server and play canon characters, so letting anyone play more than one really wouldn't be fair.

Dead characters are still playable. We're essentially functioning in an AU where these characters either died and came back (through ooky-spooky Upside Down magic) or had a near-death experience rather than actually dying. You're at liberty to decide how/why your character is alive. Making them undead, a vampire, a ghost, etc. is totally okay.

OCs are welcome. That being said, do not assume a relationship with any other characters without discussing with the writer of that character! That means no sibling/lovers/exes/parents/etc. unless you've cleared it with the person who plays that character. If you play a canon character, you are not obligated to say yes.

If you'd like to change your character a little bit from the canon, that's okay, just make it clear with the mods first. Small changes are fine.

This server will include NSFW. Threads that include smut, gore, death, drug use, or any other potentially triggering topics will be allowed. All I ask is that you discuss these topics with your RP partner before starting a thread. Do not throw these topics into a thread without making sure your RP partner is okay with it!!

There will be both SFW and NSFW channels, so if you aren't comfortable with NSFW, there will still be spaces for you.

If you'd like to play one canon character and one OC, that is okay. Just ask the mods before adding any character(s).

As time goes on, canon characters that haven't been taken will become available to server members. Meaning if we're three months in and no one has picked Lucas, for example, someone in the server who already plays a different canon character would be able to apply to write for Lucas as well.

Underage characters can be written for, just stay out of NSFW channels as those characters. If you write 18+ content as these characters, you will be kicked from the server.

For the love of god, please don't start drama. We're all adults. I don't want to have to manage everyone like you're children, so just... no judgment please.

We'll have activity checks about once a month. If you go inactive without informing a mod that you'll be gone, you'll be kicked to free up that character for someone else.

There will be a strike system for minor infractions; starting fights, posting in the wrong channels continuously, interrupting threads, etc.

Now, as you can probably tell, I've decided that it just makes the most sense if we only have one of each character. I know that's unfortunate and probably disappointing, but I just couldn't really see a way to make it viable to have multiple of one person.

[ ryan destiny, cisfemale, she/her ] - was that chloe williams i saw by the lighthouse today? i heard that the thirty year old who has been in nightrest for her whole life and works as a model/owner of naiad boutique has a reputation of being ambitious, but also blunt. they reside in ashmore & people in town usually associate them with sketches, fabrics strewn around, a closet of heels, and selfies. let’s hope the killer doesn’t go after them next.

Chloe was born and raised in Nightrest, her parents settling there when they found out they were expecting. The early years of her childhood were full of laughter and love. Their home was always filled with music either from her father playing guitar, her mother on the piano, or young Chloe trying to join in with her singing. She loved her childhood growing up with her cousins in the same town made the place even more special.

What Chloe never anticipated was to question everything the day her mother up and left, no goodbye and a measly apology note. To say it wrecked her father was an understatement and Chloe felt the need to be strong not just for him but for the both of them. She became hardened, if it wasn't her father or cousins she didn't care. A lot of her friends grew tired of her attitude and anger and her circle grew even smaller.

She worked hard to excel in school though her passions lied in fashion. She started a blog cataloguing outfits she wore and pieces she made and as the rise of social media grew so too did Chloe's presence online. She was scouted to do a few photoshoots for campaigns in Boston while she was taking classes. That led to the next opportunity and then the next. She did finish school with a business degree but wouldn't use it as her modelling career took off.

Chloe loved this path and had big dreams about starting her own fashion line that seemed more and more possible. She met a man who loved her drive and almost rivalled it which she found attractive. When their hookups became more and more frequent she found herself catching feelings. The moment she brought up taking things seriously between them was when she found out he was married. Always the one trying to stay out of drama Chloe found herself right in the middle of it. The relationship continued with promises of divorce and sweet talk bringing her down. A year of inconsistencies and lies Chloe finally cut it off, hating the feeling of being the other woman and worse hating herself for being so naive.

As she settled back into a routine, serious about starting her line and scouting for shop space she got a call. The news of her father's stroke had her returning home without another thought. She was back in the town she'd grown up in a place she never saw herself opening up shop. She became her father's primary care taker and didn't tell anyone about his health.

PERSONALITY

so  in  my  head  I  like  the  idea  that  draco  threw  the  wand  to  harry  in  the  final  battle,  his  small  act  of  rebellion  in  his  youth  that  people  could’ve  easily  seen  as  a  selfish  act  to  save  himself. 

everything  he  went  through  in  his  youth  trying  to  please  his  parents  and  out  of  fear  following  the  orders  of  the  death  eaters  and  his  crazy  aunt  bellatrix,  draco  saw  the  error  of  his  ways  but  had  burned  too  many  bridges.  

he  became  warmer  and  kinder,  he  married  astoria  and  built  a  life  with  her  though  they  remained  isolated  and  draco  had  been  willing  to  let  the  malfoy  line  end  with  him.  they  had  scorpius  and  that’s  when  his  happiness  truly  began. 

astoria  would  grow  weaker  over  the  years  but  while  she  remained  alive  he  was  warm  and  kind,  embraced  a  life  he’d  never  seen  himself  having. 

when  she  died,  he  became  distant.  fearing  he’d  become  more  like  his  own  father  because  of  the  grief  and  kept  scorpius  at  arms  length. 

for  a  brief  period  he  was  an  auror,  using  the  work  as  a  means  of  distracting  himself  but  was  dismissed  when  it  was  clear  he  was  allowing  his  emotions  to  take  over  his  work. 

he  took  to  alchemy,  more  so  as  a  hobby  while  he  lived  miserable  off  the  inheritance  from  the  father  he  despised. 

has  an  own  named  ayla,  the  child  of  the  owl  he  grew  up  with. 

on  the  initial  reforming  of  the  death  eaters,  draco  stayed  far  from  it.  fearing  the  very. depths  of  what  they  were  trying  to  bring  about  yet  again. 

with  the  death  of  harry  raising  many  regrets  regarding  his  school  life  and  what  astoria  inspired  within  him,  draco  went  to  the  order  in  secret;  not  even  his  son  was  aware  of  his  new  loyalty.  he  vowed  to  be  a  double  agent,  joining  the  death  eaters  as  a  spy.  

within  the  two  months  that  followed  harry  and  the  ministers  death,  draco  once  more  became  an  auror.

okay  so  I  started  with  my  fav,  my  broken  boy  !!  his  personality  remains  close  to  canon;  I  typically  enjoy  writing  him  as  the  more  unstable  version  of  himself  where  he’s  liable  to  lash  out  and  do  anything  to  get  what  he  needs  but  anyway,  everything  else  shall  be  below  !!  (  also  credit  to  this  creator  for  the  avatars  -  https://vocivus.co.vu/post/682525500140306432  )

so  his  backstory  is  also  canon.  mikael  despised  klaus  due  to  losing  freya  before  he  was  born  and  took  all  of  his  issues  out  on  klaus  because  klaus  was  able  to  be  the  son  mikael  could  hate  (  even  before  he  knew  klaus  wasn’t  his  ). 

klaus  obviously  got  worse  and  more  paranoid  the  longer  the  mikaelson’s  were  running  from  mikael.  I  feel  like  the  added  bonus  of  the  volturi  as  an  enemy  and  equals  in  the  power  the  volturi  has,  only  made  that  worse. 

klaus  continued  to  use  the  dagger  as  a  threat  throughout  the  centuries  (  but  it  is  up  to  the  MUN’s  of  the  character’s  whether/when  it  was  used  ).

I  do  write  klaus  as  having  been  in  love  with  tatia,  which  was  why  he  ended  up  finding  it  easy  to  use  the  doppelgangers  because  he  could  just  resent  them  for  that  loss  but  with  elena  specifically  I  feel  as  though  he  views  her  contribution  as  a  way  to  get  the  power  he  needs.  she’s  just  a  pawn  in  his  game. 

plot  ideas;

I  often  have  played/like  the  idea  of  klaus  having  fathered  a  child  to  tatia  but  that  would  be  dependent  on  the  tatia  MUN  wanting  to  write  that  plot.  I  tend  to  have  the  child  as  a  npc,  that  is  used  in  plots  with  klaus’s  enemies  as  a  way  to  get  one  over  on  him.  so  in  theory  this  could  also  be  with  another  woman  (  it  was  viking  times  after  all  ). 

another  idea  is  a  witch/witches  who  are  double  crossing  klaus,  possibly  working  with  an  enemy  to  get  to  know  klaus’  weaknesses.

hello everybody!! you can call me ellie, and i’m the mun behind leila here! i’ll be at work during acceptances (cries) so this post is queued, but i figured i’d go ahead and introduce myself and leila as well as put down a few initial plot ideas! i’m super excited to be joining, and i’d love to plot with anyone and everyone! a couple of the plots below will have to do with the locations i’ll be submitting to be added to the page at some point tomorrow or this weekend, so if you’d like more info about them before then let me know! if you want to plot, please feel free to like this post and i’ll pop into your dms so we can brainstorm!!

a bit about leila:

she’s the second child of the former margrave of one of the former territories of etlia (astelle, now called calusia.) she fought on the front lines alongside her family in about the last 4-5 years of the war. 

her parents were killed while protecting her in one of the last battles of the war, and leila barely escaped with her life. she basically limped her way around dromare and finally made her way across the river to ganggyn, where she settled under the care of a kind innkeeper on the northern edge of seodal

that innkeeper, cirenne, was a dark mage, and helped leila realize she actually has a bit of an affinity for dark magic, though her class is still archer (for now)

once she had enough savings built up (within the last few months, probably) she set off east, sticking to ganggyn territory for as long as she could until she reached noyillai

since then, she’s mostly been a mercenary or hunter for hire as she gathers information about sarlimar’s school of sorcery as well as the current state of what used to be etlia

her eventual goal is to help organize a rebellion to free etlia from gleerium’s control, but frankly she has zero clue how to do this and is pretty much flying by the seat of her pants. this goal is also a secret -- as of now she hasn’t told anyone about her eventual plans, since she doesn’t want to make herself into a target

some plot ideas!

anyone from etlia! were you a noble? a solider? a commoner? you’ve probably at least heard of leila’s family, and if you lived in astelle you may have even known her personally! she wants to reconnect with fellow etlians really bad tbh, she still feels a responsibility towards them as a leader (even if she never took the title of margrave, she’s always been trained for it since she was second in line)

fellow mercenaries/hunters/soldiers -- maybe you were on a job together and hit it off, or maybe you just kept butting heads -- leila can be pretty stubborn sometimes. maybe you and leila were on jobs that directly opposed each other; one of you could’ve been hired to protect someone while the other was hired to kill them, etc. or you could just be rivals in any other sense!

students at lotus academy or others who are based in noyillai -- leila moves between noyillai, podakko, and zoratori a lot, but she probably ends up in noyillai the most often, since it usually has the most news about what’s happening in the west. 

anyone from gleerium or who sympathizes with them -- she honestly will probably hate you on sight. that could be a very cool dynamic to work with!! maybe she actually likes you at first and then finds out you’re from gleerium and does an about-face and suddenly hates you and doesn’t trust you. she doesn’t advertise her etlian heritage to anyone except other etlians, so you may not even know Why she suddenly doesn’t like you. there’s all kinds of potential there!

if you lived in seodal/northwestern ganggyn near the end of the war, maybe you knew the innkeeper who took leila in? the innkeeper herself will be an npc, but the inn will be an open location so anyone could have been a regular patron or employee there, or just someone who lived nearby at the time and witnessed leila show up as a refugee and possibly watched as she slowly started to recover from the trauma of the war.

if none of these strike your fancy then i’m definitely open to brainstorming anything, as well!

wanted connections -- these would require a whole new character to be built from the ground up based on what i have written for leila’s backstory, but i’ve kept most things flexible and am willing to work with anyone who’s interested!

leila’s older brother - i have a lot written about him already, but any or all of it can be changed for the sake of your muse. she definitely thinks he’s dead, so i would LOVE to have someone join as him so we can write about their reunion and everything!

the current duke of calusia - this is the person who’s taken over leila’s homeland, who now lives in her childhood home, and who has “stolen” (in her mind) her father’s lance, which is an heirloom passed down in her family for generations. needless to say, leila despises this person. would definitely be cool to have in the rp!

HISTORY NERD. That's not the first thing you should know about him I guess? but I need to mention it, I need to shoehorn my extensive and growing collection of memorized dates into a character, so, here he is.

I do think the one thing you should probably know is that! He feels extremely guilty over a death of one of his friends. I want to keep it secret for once hehe, hoho, but let's just say that it was inaction that he feels makes him even guiltier for said friend's death than the actual murderer. Yes, said friend was murdered, and Wenzhe is convinced it's his fault. It makes some sense if you hear him talk about it, but I digress. He's one of those super facetious kids who pretend to be dumber than they are, louder than they are, care less than they do. Don't ask him about his gender identity he's not going to LOOK AT IT stop ASKING- He's my latest darling. Pretends to be a fuckboi to cover the trauma.

&.  →   daniel  gillies  :  TAKE ME TO CHURCH BY HOZIER   ⸻  was  that  elijah  mikaelson  walking  around  new  orleans ?   word  around  the  town  claims  that  the  31/1000+-year-old   original  vampire  was  known  to  be  honorable  when  they  were  alive,  but  have  now  become  evasive.  which  is  why  they  remind  me  of  ink  blots  on  old  letters,  classical  music  &  sad  eyes  that  speak  poetry.  let’s  just  hope  they  can  survive  this  time .  

so this is the character i’m most excited about writing again, my boy who i’ve written since I started writing. i’ve debated what I wanted to do with him because I’ve done a lot of things in the past plot wise but I settled on something that I hope makes sense and is gonna be angsty to write. 

basically  elijah  stood  by  his  choice  to  die  with  his  brother,  he  would’ve  rather  it  have  just  been  him  but  he  could  understand  and  appreciated  the  development  and  care  it  took  klaus  to  want  to  die  for  his  daughter  and  wouldn’t  take  that  from  him  (  I  hate  that  it  had  to  happen  that  way  ).

elijah  often  saw  klaus  as  a  pseudo  son  or  at  least  that’s  how  I  think  he  felt  in  regards  to  how  long  he  spent  being  a  confidant  to  his  brother  and  trying  to  fill  a  vacant  space  that  was  left  because  of  the  cruelty  of  mikael. 

now  for  the  plot,  he  dies  with  klaus  but  elijah  isn’t  with  his  brother,  instead  -  because  of  his  atrocious  acts  over  the  centuries  and  the  way  he  never  fully  dealt  with  them  -  he  went  to  hell  or  a  hell  dimension,  left  to  revisit  the  monster  he’d  been,  while  this  may  have  not  been  long  in  terms  of  his  lifespan,  it  felt  like  an  eternity. 

so  it’s  certainly  going  to  be  an  adjustment  for  him  being  alive  and  believing  he  actually  is  but  he’s  still  elijah  in  all  the  other  ways,  pushing  down  what  he’s  suffering  with  to  be  the  honourable  mikaelson:  a  good  brother,  uncle  etc. 

basically  lots  of  angst.  I’ll  add  more  as  things  get  plotted  !!
