The timeline of the Tinkerbell movies is so fucking funny like Tink was out there getting bullied attempting to fundamentally change what she is and revolutionizing the talent of tinkering all within like. A week tops. of her birth. At the queen’s revue Queen Clarion goes “Tinkerbell sweetheart has no one explained?” (about tinkers not going to the mainland) and it’s like!!! No shit they haven’t explained!!! Homegirl was born yesterday!!!

So... why tape recorders?

After hearing about the [ERROR]chivist from Sam, Georgie obviously immediately starts thinking the same thing that anyone familiar with the events of tma is: In what way is this related to Jon? Sam literally quotes the 'all eyes' line, this Archivist feeds off of people's Fear, makes people tell them stories about their trauma, and tape recorders keep following them around! All Jon powers, or at the very least Archivist powers!

...Except, as we learn in s5, while the tape recorders follow Jon and Martin around, despite them being such an Archivist motif from the audiences POV, the tapes are not of Jon, they're not of the Archivist.

In MAG196 and MAG197, it's revealed that the tapes have all along been part of the plan of the Web, to use them, Jon and the Eyepocalypse to spin a web and spread to other dimensions:

So if the tapes aren't and never were an Archivist power, why do they show up for the [ERROR]chivist?

Is it the Web spinning a new plan? It can't be ruled out, but the [ERROR]chivist seems a poor candidate for a new rituals lynchpin. Not to mention that the Fears don't seem to exist in those same categories in tmagp in the first place, or that doing the same thing twice seems kinda basic from a meta perspective.

Really, there is something the [ERROR]chivist is reminiscent of, more than anything else. Not Jon, or Getrude, nor any one character or person from either universe.

With their tape recorders, their gender ambiguity and cloaked form, their most identifiable feature being their eyes, All Eyes, being able to compel statements without even saying a word, making victims relive their trauma not just in spirit, but in body, what the [ERROR]chivist is, most of all, is the idea of the Archivist.

The [ERROR]chivist is the Archivist, insofar as he would exist to the minds of the people in the ruins of tma's post-apocalypse. A vague, watching creature, always tailed by tape recorders, making you spill your guts figuratively and literally before moving on, and those eyes, those eyes, the only feature you remember. It's a role without an actor.

I had a super cute thought today…

I know we all love the idea of Lucifer’s golden blush (me included lol)but hear me out…his cheeks are already painted. So what if when Lucifer get’s flustered or embarrassed…his red cheeks start to glow. It’s harder to tell during the day, so the first time you see them glow was during a late night make out session. As he kissed you, you felt heat radiating off of him while a small amount of light shone through your closed eyelids. So you pulled back only to see his painted cheeks glowing in the dark room. The light emanating from them was not overbearing or blinding, nor was it constant; they flickered like a flame, constantly changing brightness. You smiled and put your hand to his face; he was very warm. But not to the point you had to pull away.

“I didn’t know your cheeks glowed, Luci.”

“It’s been a long time since they had, I nearly forgot myself.”

“They’re really beautiful.”

“They’re nothing compared to you, love. I can’t help but light up when I see you!”

You laughed and pulled him in to kiss him again. You spent the rest of the night basking in his soft, warm glow.

Never forget that Dylan is the one who suggests that love transcends severance (IN REFERENCE TO HIM AND MS CASEY) and even he is like nah I don’t really believe that.

A lot of things definitely transcend severance, a lot of feelings! (pain, illness, emotional distress, contentedness, attraction, infatuation) But like, love is not a feeling (it’s a choice, that’s my hot take, a choice about prioritizing another person in your life, not necessarily above all others cause love takes a lot of forms, but it definitely involves making another person a priority) and if it could transcend severance Ms Casey and Mark S would NOT act the way they do around each other.

They quite literally do not care about each other beyond a sense of duty for one’s fellow man. Like yes they were going through a rough patch before the “accident” but they certainly still loved each other and they both seemingly spend most of their waking hours thinking about the other, and it’s still not enough to cross the severance barrier.

Gemma’s longing for home, her alienation, her anguish makes their way to Ms Casey, but her love for Mark does not. Mark Scout’s grief and sorrow make their way to Mark S, but his love for Gemma does not.

Mark S wants to help Ms Casey, but he accepts there’s nothing he can do and sits back for the rest of his wellness session. Mark Scout would literally kill himself and everyone around him before he would accept letting Gemma stay down there.

Ms Casey appreciates that Mark S wants to help her, but knows there’s nothing he can do, so she does her job one last time. Gemma would sink her nails into Mark and never let go if she saw him. But here they are, walking away from each other.
