Any tips for Didi in IS3?
Trying to beat her using Bearknights but the rejections are *hurting*
Get used to playing at low Light and try your best to account for Rejections and The Call Of We Many when building teams and picking Artifacts: Going for Ishar'mla/Skadi necessarily means sacrificing your Light to get to her, meaning you are going to be playing half Arknights, half Mario Party goofy goober shit with Rejections and The Call Of We Many, both more likely at low Light levels. Given that you're extremely likely to reach Chapter 6 with 0 Light, then, yeah, you HAVE to deal with these.
The worst Rejection you can get overall is Metastatic Aberration. This will basically cripple a unit by halving their stats. Sure, it also gives them half DP cost and redeployment time, but with very specific exceptions, This Cripples The Unit for the run, especially at higher Waves. The others, you can work with, but I suggest to always keep a Die Roll handy when traversing Chapters so you can try and reroll a particularly nasty, comp-breaking Rejection.
When it comes to The Call Of We Many, the ones to watch out for Chapter 6 are Predation (everyone except Bosses have +50 ASPD, your healing is 70% less effective), Proliferation (30% chance on each fight to get an extra voucher, but enemy RES +15) and One Among Many (+50% extra EXP gain, but enemy DEF +50%) because they directly compromise your ability to deal with the enemy, more so on higher Waves when Bosses have additional stat heft multipliers, including DEF and RES. Predation in particular can be VERY dangerous, because Boss!Skadi deals True Damage when transformed into Ishar'mla. It can be a run ending factor very easily, because you'll have to deal with a lot of incoming damage with reduced healing, especially poignant when you must heal multiple units at once, and guess what, Skadi multitargets up to three units at once with sniper-like range, so, whoopsie daisy! Shit's fucked, cap'n!
Basically, pretend you're playing Binding of Isaac the way the game can bend you over at any time and make you bite the pillow because it decided to go in raw.
As for the boss fight itself, the best way to go about it is to try and come in with some ludicrous firepower off the gate to eliminate Skadi/Ishar'mla as soon as possible, because she's particularly dangerous the longer she stays on the field. From here on, we'll refer to the untransformed state as "Skadi" and the transformed state as "Ishar'mla".
Skadi has ludicrously high stats, but is a healer. Her baseline stats are 90000 HP, 1600 ATK, 1200 DEF, and 70 RES. Add in Waves bonuses and potential Call Of We Many and, well, you can see how they can affect heavily how you go about her, with One Among Many boosting her DEF to 1800 off rip even at Waves 0, which is scientifically classified as a Fucking Jinkies, Scoob moment by Harvard scholars when you also have to deal with her Bullshit: The Bullshit is that Skadi will not attack you... Yet. She has global range and her autos heal up to three enemies. This isn't too troublesome to be honest, as the enemies in her map are actually quite manageable and she heals slowly, with an interval of 6 seconds, but it adds a layer of annoyance to the bulky harpooners on the bottom, as well as the Cutters (conch shells) if you have no Arts or very high Phys on them.
Skadi, as a boss, must also build SP much like your Operators in order to use her Skill! She builds up 1 SP per second, like your Operators, and she must build 120 SP to use her Skill, but she'll periodically place Tears Of Ishar'mla on tiles on the field, prioritizing putting Tears close to each other. Every three seconds, these Tears will generate a whooping 25 SP for Skadi. You can stop this by placing an Operator on top of the Tears, cancelling their SP battery effect, but that unit will also take sizeable True Damage every three seconds instead. Tears have baseline 500 ATK, but as they are not a stage hazard and count as actual enemy entities, the Tears WILL have their Attack increased by Waves and other modifiers, so that's True Damage that will intensify the higher your Waves. Setting up for Skadi, if you don't have a lot of firepower to try and take her out or cripple her early, means not laying out optimal positioning: The map's layout is actually pretty simple, but you also have to prioritize covering Tears, is the problem, resulting in needing to make some on-the-fly executive decisions when it comes to placement and placement order.
Once Skadi charges 120 SP, she will transform into Ishar'mla, and her stats will change: She will have halved max HP, half RES, ATK -37.5%, -70% DEF, and -20% movement speed. Instead of healing, she will now attack up to three units within a 4 tile range (!?) with True Damage every three seconds. At this point, your priority is to kill Ishar'mla as soon as possible, or your entire entire risks being wiped out VERY quickly. Ishar'mla is a glass cannon, hitting VERY hard but also not being able to take a hit too well. The thing is, when you kill Ishar'mla, he will turn back into Skadi, and none of the damage dealt to Ishar'mla passes over to Skadi. The transformation essentially functions as an extra 50% Max HP shield for Skadi during which she can burst you hard, so the most important thing to do is prevent her from transforming as much as possible. This means either killing her outright ASAP or, if not possible (it's harder at higher Waves due to her prodigious bulk), prevent it for as long as possible. I recommend you pop your burst and skills on Ishar'mla if you think it can knock down your formation. When being forced back into Skadi, Skadi will recover 2% Max HP. When knocked under 50% HP for the first time, Skadi enrages and has her Attack (and that of Ishar'mla's) increased by 50%, and immediately places down 2 Tears, account for these so she doesn't prank your entire womb with a funny transformation out of Fucking Nowhere.
So, a lot to account for, good luck! I don't know Bearknights specifics because I don't play Bearknights, so have fun figuring that out.

ROUND 1A, MATCH 9 OUT OF 16
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Monster Stats & Propaganda Under the Cut:
Diabound Kernel is used by Yami Bakura. Its stats are the following:
Attribute: DARK
Level: 5
Type: FIEND / EFFECT
Effect Type: IGNITION / IGNITION-LIKE / CONTINUOUS-LIKE
Effect (according to the anime): "Once per turn, you can equip this card to a monster OR unequip it to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. The equipped monster loses ATK equal to this card's ATK."
ATK: / DEF: 1800 / 1200
Propaganda:
The more it fights, the stronger it gets! While the anime effect is definitely crazier, it's cool to see the card game try and emulate this with the 600 attack gain upon attack declaration.
Divine Serpent Geh is used by Dartz. Its stats are the following:
Attribute: DARK
Level: 10
Type: REPTILE / EFFECT
Effect Type: SUMMONING / SUMMONING CONDITION / TRIGGER / CONTINUOUS
Effect (according to the anime): "This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned, except with "Orichalcos Shunoros". When this card is Summoned, your Life Points become 0. This card cannot declare an attack unless you send the top 10 cards of your Deck to the Graveyard. While you control this card, you cannot lose the Duel."
ATK: / DEF: ∞/ ∞
Propaganda:
Infinityyyyyyy (at least in the anime). Was a powerful monster in the final duel of what I feel was the best anime-only arc. And both anime and irl version can be quite strong.

You ever consider that Exodia, despite it’s whole thing being “The Forbidden One” has some pretty subpar stats?
Like, combine all five pieces, and you get a 7 star monster with 1800 atk and 2200 def. For reference Dark Magician is also 7 stars and has 2500 atk and 2100 def, making him technically stronger than someone with infinite power, with only SLIGHTLY less defense. Like I get that the reason he is suppose to be so powerful is because he auto wins the game, man he is such a wimp I could easily 1v1 him, just give me a stick so I can give it to him so it can be a fair fight. That is assuming he can even pick it up with how sad he is.
Infinite power yet he can’t break those chains or whatever magic is keeping him contained, someone clearly got an ego about themselves.
Tumblr media
Bet all those muscles aren’t even real, just using that “Infinite power” to make himself look swole. Could easily push him over and he couldn’t do anything about it.
Tumblr media
All that bulk, all that power, and yet 0 bitches

Remaining cards from Legacy of Destruction are here.
Most interesting World Premiere here is the new Battleguard support, but we won't get the ARC-V Battleguard for a very, very long time.
These were leaked a long while ago, but we have non-watermarked pictures now.
Full set list is here.

I, I’m gonna need that batfam-as-yugioh-cards post. For reasons.
Pretty please and thank you :)
Thank you for asking this because I already started writing it and I would have felt stupid if no one asked for it.
Note: all of their Attribute is Dark, except for Duke whose Attribute is Light, Batman and the Batgirls are all Warrior-type while the Robins are Bird-type.
The Batman: Level 8 Monster, can only be tribute-summoned after sending 2 Wayne monsters to the graveyard, 3000 ATK & 3000 DEF, his special-effect is that he gains 500 ATK for every bird-type monster in the graveyard.
Equip Spell Card: if he was going to be destroyed while equipped with “The Batmobile,” banish this card to save The Batman and destroy the attacking monster afterward.
Nightwing: Level 7 Monster, can be special summoned if you either had just one or no monsters on the field to protect you, 2700 ATK & 2300 DEF, his special-effect is that spell & trap cards don’t effect him and you can't attack any bird-type monsters other than him.
Equip Spell Card: if the field-card “Haley’s Circus“ is in-use, he gains 500 points in both ATK & DEF and automatically switch to defense-mode before being destroyed.
Oracle: Level 8 Monster, can be special-summoned in defense position only, 0 ATK & 4000 DEF, special-effect is that she can’t be attacked directly by monsters and if your hand is completely empty, you’re allowed to draw 5 cards at once.

Heart of the Vanguard Concept Chapter part 3
(Concept chapters are basically just to test to see if people will like a fic idea I have. This fic crosses over Yugioh Duel Monsters and Cardfight Vanguard.)
“Okay, now unfortunately Aichi my friend your going down.”, Yugi thought.
“I-I attack!”, Aichi continued, still blushing.
Yugi LP 3100->2800
“I can’t believe it! He’s actually in the lead against the King of Games!”, the brown haired teen gasped.
“I can’t believe it I lost!”, Morikawa yelled as he held his head.
“I can.”, Kamui replied plainly.
“Man, this dude sucks and Honda thought I couldn’t beat a dueling monkey.”, Jonouchi replied.
“Rematch! I just had a bad hand that’s all!”, Morikawa replied.
“Fine, sure if you want to be destroyed again.”, Jonouchi replied.
“I e-end my turn.”, Aichi said.
“I draw and I activate Swords of Revealing Light then end my turn”, Yugi said.
Yugi
Hand: 1
“His deck is really good at conserving it’s resources hopefully I can stall for a bit or maybe get him to use up more of his cards.”, Yugi thought.
Aichi’s nervous expression made Yugi smile a bit. He hasn’t had a duel like this in awhile. Where either his own life or the world wasn’t at stake it was rather nice. It was very refreshing having an opponent not try to kill him or use a shadow game. Just a fun duel with a good friend. That was a big appeal of dueling. So, many of his opponents have been enemies recently. He almost forgot that.
“I draw. I s-summon Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands. I activate h-his effect t-to add one r-ritual monster or s-spell to my hand. I c-chose Noble Knights’ Guardian Soul Saver Dragon.”, Aichi said revealing the card before adding it to his hand.
Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands
ATK 1400/DEF 1000
Noble Knights’ Guardian Soul Saver Dragon
( DRAGON / LIGHT/ RITUAL / EFFECT/ ATK : 2500 / DEF : 2000 / LV 8
Effect: You can ritual summon this card with “Savior Dragon Prayer”. This card also counts as a Warrior monster. This card cannot be equipped with equip spells. As long as this monster is on the field your Noble Knight monsters cannot be effected or targeted by your opponents card effects. When you control a Noble Knight monster that is equipped with a Noble Arms equip spell all your Noble Knight monsters gain 300 attack.
Aichi
Hand: 3
“I end my turn.”, Aichi said, finally seeming to calm down.
“Looks like he doesn’t have any equip cards. If he did, he could have easily gotten rid of my swords.”, Yugi though.
“I draw, set one card face down and end my turn.”, Yugi said.
Yugi
Hand: 1
“That’s one turn of the swords.”, Yami said.
“I draw, I set Manju to defense mode and I end my turn.”, Aichi said.
Aichi

“I draw one card and end my turn.”, Yugi said.
“That’s the second.”, Yami said.

“I draw one card and I set one.”, Aichi said.

“I draw and I summon Big Shield Gardna in defense mode then end my turn.”, Yugi said

“That’s the third.”, Yami said as Yugi moved his swords to the graveyard.
“I draw and I activate Savior Dragon Prayer. I tribute Noble Knight Pellinore and Artorigus from my hand to ritual summon! Noble Knights’ Guardian Soul Saver Dragon!”, Aichi started.
Savior Dragon Prayer
(Ritual Spell)
This card can be used to ritual summon “Noble Knights’ Guardian Soul Saver Dragon”. You must also tribute “Noble Knight” monsters from your hand or field or banish Noble Knight monsters from your graveyard, whose levels equal 8 or more.
Aichi
Hand: 1
“That’s not good.”, Honda commented.
“Soul Saver’s effect activates! When a Noble Knight monster I control is equipped with a Noble Arms spell all my Noble Knight monsters gain 300 attack.”, Aichi said.
Noble Knights’ Guardian Soul Saver Dragon
ATK 2500->2800
Noble Knight Drystan
ATK 1800->2100
“I bring Manju to attack mode and attack Gardna with Soul Saver!”, Aichi declared.
“Uh no that’s enough attack points to end the duel!”, Honda said.
“I attack you directly with Manju!”, Aichi declared.
Yugi LP 2800->1400
“You can do it brother!”, Emi cheered.
“Then I attack you with Drystan!”, Aichi declared.
“Let’s go bro!”, Kamui cheered.
“I activate my trap Nutrient Z! If I would take 2000 or more battle damage I gain 4000 before the damage is subtracted from my life points.”, Yugi countered.
Yugi LP 1400->5400
Yugi LP 5400->3300
“He managed to survive. You’ll get him next turn bro!”, Kamui said.
“I end my turn. Heh I really thought I had you there.”, Aichi said.
“I draw! If I didn’t have that trap I’d be done for. I’ve gotta stay on my toes if I’m going to win this.”, Yugi said.
Yugi
Hand:3
“I summon Marshmellon in defense mode and I set one card facedown. I end my turn.”, Yugi continued.

“I draw and I activate my face down spell Glory of the Noble Knights! I can target one of my Noble Knight monsters and equip one equip spell from my deck! I chose Noble Arms Caliburn and I activate it effect to gain 500 life points.”, Aichi started.
Aichi
Hand: 2
Aichi LP 3200->3700
“That triggers Drystan’s effect allowing me to destroy Marshmellon!”, Aichi continued.
“Now he only has his two facedowns!”, Honda said.
“Would you guys stop stating the obvious?”, Misaki asked.
“Then I switch Manju to defense mode and attack you directly!”, Aichi declared.
“I activate my trap! A Hero Emerges you must select one card in my hand and if it’s a monster I can special summon it.”, Yugi countered.
“You only have one so I choose it.”, Aichi replied.
“It is Dark Magician of Chaos.”, Yugi said as he revealed the card and special summoned it.
Dark Magician of Chaos
ATK 2800/ DEF 2600
Yugi
Hand: 0
“When it’s normal or special summoned I can add one spell from my graveyard to my hand! I chose Pot of Greed!”, Yugi said.
Yugi
Hand: 1
“I attack your monster with Soul Saver!”, Aichi declared.
The two monsters destroyed each other due to their equal attack.
“Then I attack you directly with Drystan!”, Aichi declared.
Yugi LP 3300->1000
“Now, I end my turn.”, Aichi said.
“I draw and activate Pot of Greed allowing me to draw 2 cards!”, Yugi started.
Yugi
Hand: 3
“I activate Soul Exchange allowing me to tribute your Drystan to summon Dark Magician Girl. Since Dark Magician is in the graveyard she gains 300 attack. However, unfortunately I can’t attack the turn I use Soul Exchange.”, Yugi continued.
Dark Magician Girl ATK 2000->2300
Yugi
Hand: 1
“I end my turn.”, Yugi said.
“I draw!”, Aichi said.
Aichi
Hand: 3
“Okay, I activate the effect of Until Noble Arms Are Needed Again from my graveyard! I banish it to special summon a Noble Knight monster on my field or in my graveyard! I chose Ignoble Knight Blaster Dark! Stand up my avatar!”, Aichi said as a few of them looked a bit nervous when Aichi summoned the dark counterpart of his ace.
Ignoble Knight Blaster Dark
( WARRIOR / DARK / EFFECT/ ATK : 2100 / DEF : 1500 / LV 5
Effect: When this monster is summoned or special summoned you can select one Noble Arms equip spell from your graveyard to equip to it. Once per turn, this card is summoned or special summoned you can tribute one monster you control to destroy one card your opponent controls.)
“Now, I activate my trap Call of the Haunted to resurrect Blaster Blade!”, Aichi continued.
The two knights of light and shadow were side by side contrasting the other like opposite chess pieces.
“It’s coming. The card that beat Ren.”, Yami said.
“I activate Polymerization using Blaster Blade and Blaster Dark as material to fusion summon True Noble Knight Majesty Lord Blaster! Stand up my avatar of light and shadow!”, Aichi continued.
Aichi
Hand: 2
True Noble Knight Majesty Lord Blaster
( WARRIOR / LIGHT / FUSION / EFFECT/ ATK : 3300 / LV 10
1 light warrior monster + 1 dark warrior monster
If a “Blaster Blade” monster and “Blaster Dark” monster are used as materials, this card gains 1000 attack and deals double battle damage. This card also counts as a dark monster. You can tribute one equip spell card you control to destroy all cards your opponent controls.)
“Due to its effect when Blaster Blade and Blaster Dark are used as materials it gains 1000 attack and does double battle damage. I activate Wingal’s effect from the graveyard to equip it to Majesty Lord Blaster. I activate its effect tributing Wingal to destroy all the cards you control!”, Aichi explained.
True Noble Knight Majesty Lord Blaster
ATK 3300->4300
“Good thing for me that triggers my trap, Waking the Dragon! When it’s destroyed I can special summon one monster from my fusion deck or deck ignoring its summoning conditions when it's destroyed by my opponent’s card effect! I chose Gaia the Magical Knight of Dragons! I activate its effect and it loses 2600 attacks to destroy your Majesty Lord Blaster!”, Yugi countered.
Gaia the Magical Knight of Dragons
ATK 2600->0
“Man, that’s crazy he couldn’t even take that thing down with one of the god cards in that situation.”, Honda commented.
“And now he’s wide open. You just need to summon a monster. Come on bro get him!”, Kamui cheered.
“I bring Manju to attack mode and I attack Gaia.”, Aichi declared.
“I activate Kuriboh’s in hand effect to reduce the damage to 0.”, Yugi countered.
“I end my turn. Dang, I really thought I finally got it when I drew Polymerization.”, Aichi said before sighing.
“That was way too close! I had hardly any cards in my fusion deck or deck that could deal with that card. Even ifI had the god cards in my deck they would be useless.”, Yugi thought.
“I draw. ”, Yugi said.
Yugi
Hand: 1
“I summon the Obnoxious Celtic Guard!”, Yugi said.
