There's just something about Majora's Mask and the cycle of grief. How Link is in denial about Navi leaving at the end of Ocarina of Time. How he goes through a whole journey about leaving and loss and death, and how to keep going through those feelings. And then, after helping all these people and getting close to them, he is the one that leaves. He understands Navi's position and takes the same path. He accepts that people can leave when the journey is over.
It just feels so bittersweet and empathetic and there's closure and healing and it's so good!
Here is another piece dedicated to my teenage self. As mentioned in an older post, I found some drawings I did wayyy back in the early 2010s. And I decided to redraw some of them.
Fun fact: I vaguely remember recording myself working on this piece. I’m not sure if I have deleted the video or not from an old YT channel. Needless to say, I have long since lost access to whatever account I may have used to publish it.
