Kinda low key thinking of Zhongli/Kokomi
Like ok- Imagine.
Zhongli sitting across from kokomi, listening to her chat about the war and the different duties she has to do about being a general. Zhongli actually listening even as she rambles off about anything other than her original topic. By the time the teapot is empty and the evening sets, Their topic had reached about different sub species of lizards and how vishaps could be classified as a large gecko.
----------------------------------------------------------
Kokomi watching as pillars of geo ruse from the ground when their surprised by hillichurls, and not even seeing a flicker of light go to Zhongli's vision. Questioning how on earth Zhongli was able to harness such a powerful meteor of geo without the use of a brightly emanating vision. Zhongli simply replying "Don't worry of it priestess" before offering a night out for dinner because of the sudden hillichurl attack.
That very night leaving them at the end silent in eachothers company, sitting on the high mountains of liyue and Zhonglis telling stories of the adepti in the mountains. Speaking of ancient cities, army's, generals. The funeral parlor consultant looking happily down at his inazuman companion as he talked fondly of an old general he "heard" the tales of.
---------------------------------------------------------
Of course eventually Zhongli would drop subtle hints about his true identity when Kokomi begins questioning things she hadn't noticed before. Zhonglis nearly perfectly detailed stories, his knowledge of everything Liyue, his amber eyes, his aura, his elemental form, his geo abilities, and not to mention the Traveller and Paimon being so Hush Hush about the topic when Kokomi catches them wandering the streets of the harbor.
Kokomi one day deciding to look closely at the statues littered across the land of contracts, finding the similarities between the statue of Morax and the man Zhongli almost identical. Aside from...Clothing.
Kokomi eventually finding a time where Zhongli couldn't run from the questions. A night under an apple tree soon turning into a massive deep dive into the mystery man's past before she has to leave for her shrine again with her general.
"I know your hiding something from me.."
She would subtly begin, her faded pink and purple eyes looking over into the familliar amber glow that belonged to Zhongli. Zhongli looking down at the priestess with that gentle smile on his slightly wrinkled face, his voice holding a slightly playful tone.
"Hiding something? May I ask what you believe I am hiding from you, friend?"
The words were court, kind, yet Blunt. Zhongli had known this topic would arise eventually, and it only took roughly a few months for it to happen. This encounter had happened once before with the traveller, though now it was different.
"The statue's..You and Morax look so much alike. Not to mention the geo constructs you can produce, the lack of use needed of your vision, the way your hair glows when you unleash the geo meteor, your eyes, your knowledge of ancient cities, it all is so...odd.."
Kokomi placed a thoughtful hand on her chin, thinking of what she could say next. Though her train of thought was broken when Zhongli held out a gloved hand into the air. A small geo crystalfly gently fluttering into his hand, unafraid.
A light chuckle escaping the older man's lips as he turned to the priestess.
"Well.. I have been told my appearance is quite similar to the late archon.. Your observance is indeed true, and a solid proof of evidence."
Zhongli wasn't agreeing or denying anything, he had no need to. As more crystalflys began to flutter around them, a few landed on the high priestess and gently rested on her head and shoulders. Their sparkling wings fluttering with the passing breeze.
Kokomi turned her gaze away from the other, looking around at the glowing creatures that fluttered around them; then nodding. She needn't require a simple blunt answer, that wasn't how she or Zhongli worked sometimes. Right now was just simply a time to enjoy another's company. Archon or mortal.
"Then.. Will we still have stories over tea together? One last time?"
The woman turned to Zhongli, her question being heard loud and clear. Him and her both knew the truth was unspoken, but there. A secret well hidden yet in plain view. He was the geo archon, and she was from the electro archons land. Granted, she worshiped a god long passed from this world. Not much changed. Though yet it still felt so much different.
His smile still remained the same, and he reached a hand out to gently tuck a hair behind her ear. His voice going almost silent as he whispered.
"It would be an honor my dear.."

My mind is stuck on the thought today of Childe having always had a bit of a desire to see how Zhongli is in a fight, even before he found out about the consultant's true identity as the Geo Archon.
As a seasoned warrior, Childe has seen all types meet the end of his hydro blades. Some where physically imposing and clearly put work into their body to to attempt to appear intimidating with their pure brute force but others were more deceptive. There was a hidden strength in their lithe forms which one may not always expect. Mr. Zhongli, for all that he seemed like a rather average man with some kind of aristocratic upbringing, felt a bit like the latter.
Zhongli could pretend all he wanted he was a normal guy but Childe could see that those amber eyes were far too perceptive for a civilian. They were sharp, calculating, and always aware of all that happened around him despite how air-headed the consultant could act at times. There was also an ever-present confidence in his stance and an assuredness in every step he took even outside of the safety of Liyue Harbor where many possible dangers could await him. Then, of course, there was the geo vision nestled at the small of his back. Having a vision did not guarantee one was a fighter, but paired with everything else the Harbinger observed about this clever man there was a part of him that just had to know how Zhongli would utilize that power because it would no doubt be an intriguing display.
He's always kind of wanted to fight Zhongli, but he never brought it up outside of playful jest once in a while over a shared dinner or drinks or during a casual stroll that Childe's wallet wound up notable lighter after. Nothing all that serious because what if he was wrong and his intelligent, mysterious friend really was just a simple funeral consultant and nothing more? Childe wasn't one to cause harm to civilians who had nothing to do with his work, and he was content to keep it as a joke between them that always brought an amused little smile to the consultant's face.
Of course, as luck would have it, that nagging little thought he'd always had that Zhongli must be at least somewhat battle-inclined was truer than he ever thought possible. The man was Rex Lapis Morax, the Warrior God-king of Liyue known in history for his merciless slaughter during the Archon War. Now he has to fight the man to test himself... it's just matter of convincing the retired god that it would be something fun between friends and benefit them both in the end.

pairing: zhongli x archon male reader
req: yes | wc: 765
anon: Can you do a Zhongli x Archon!Male reader? The reader is very blunt and stoic, and one day the traveler found zhongli and the reader having a chat/tea at liyue harbor and decided to join them. Zhongli later revealed that the reader is the pyro archon considering the traveler quest to find the seven (Just some fluffs in general)
a/n: the pyro archon possesses a female vessel and goes by the name murata (as in she presents as female) but archons can possess different vessels (like the suggestion that Rex Lapis took the form of an older woman once)
Tumblr media
Just how many people did Zhongli know?
As Aether made his way to Liyue’s Katheryne, hoping to find commissions, out of the corner of his eye he spotted Zhongli and a person he’d never seen before; not in Liyue, not anywhere else.
The man was stoic, exuding power. Red highlighted his hair, just like Zhongli’s brown to amber hair. The two of them talked like old friends, much much older than their appearance may tell.
“Aether!” Zhongli greeted him with a warm smile.
The mysterious man glanced his way too. His stare was intense, it felt like he was burning him alive, contrasting the former archon’s warm and polite demeanor. “Care to join us?” Zhongli offered.
“Y-Yeah, sure.” Aether took a seat next to them. Paimon, who was uncharacteristically quiet, floated next to them. Her look was undecipherable, so Aether could not deduct what she was thinking about.
“You know, Zhongli,” Your voice shocks the traveler. Even when you speak with a sense of familiarity, your voice displays strength. “when you asked me out for tea, I didn’t think you’d invite somebody else.”
The God of Geo chuckles, Aether doesn’t know how he can manage to brush off your intensity. “I didn’t plan to. You see, this is Aether. He plans to travel around the seven nations. Someday, he might come to yours.”
‘Come to yours?’ Perhaps you were simply from another nation, and it was yours because it was your home nation. However, his gut told him otherwise.
“Aether.” The fact that you don’t even greet him with a polite smile is intimidating. “I’m (y/n). I come from Natlan, I’m-” You cut yourself off, as if you’ve said too much. Aether finds it suspicious.
“Could you tell him about the nation?”
The side glance you give the consultant is almost a glare, yet he brushes it off like it’s nothing. You huff, and Aether swears that the cup in his hands heats up just that bit more. “Alright then, as long as I get something in return, right, Zhongli? That’s what you people of Liyue do, trade?”
“Of course.” Zhongli seems to be amused by your passive aggressiveness. “Name your price.”
“Time alone with you, proper time. Not with anybody else.” You shoot Aether a glance, which makes him flinch.
“We can arrange that.” Aether finally notices just how close you sit together. It’s certainly not enough to determine your relationship, especially when you seem so blunt and emotionless, but he has a gut feeling you’re more than just ‘old friends’.
You begin to talk about the Pyro Nation, from the land, the people, to its God. However, whenever you mention their name ‘Murata’, your hair seems to glow.
Aether brushes it off, but he can’t help but think there’s a connection between you and Natlan’s God. Just like your hair, Venti and Zhongli’s hair glow the color of their element whenever they call upon their powers. The strange thing with you is that he can’t seem to find what you’re doing when your hair glows. Though each time he takes a sip of his tea, it seems hotter than before.
“and finally, Murata is the God of War.” You clear your throat then finally take a sip of your tea. You don’t seem affected by the fact it's still steaming.
Silence follows. Zhongli doesn’t touch his tea, as it’d begun boiling out of nowhere, and neither does Aether.
“Well,” Your voice booms, accompanied by the loud clunk of porcelain hitting the table as you set your tea down. “I think I’ll have that alone time now.”
Zhongli chuckles, subtly holding your elbow. Aether barely catches the gesture.
“You see how demanding he is.” The both of you stand, and luckily, you brought mora. You place a small pouch on the table, looking extremely impatient to leave. “I hope these details are good for your journey, Aether. (y/n)’s an expert on Natlan. After all, he is the Pyro Archon.”
“Paimon knew it!” Aether’s flying companion finally breaks her silence.
You roll your eyes, hooking your arm with his. “Let’s go, Zhongli. You’ve interrupted our alone time long enough.”
“I think you know what that means.” Uncharacteristically of the Lord of Geo, he winks at the traveler and his companion. “We’ll meet again, travelers, hopefully.”
Even if you’ve just explained everything about Natlan to him, even everything about yourself as their archon, there were still many mysterious things about you. Hopefully the next time he meets you, you’re not rendezvousing with another archon. Hopefully, you’re acting on your duties.
"Seriously, you're so demanding." Zhongli sighs.

GASP CONGRATS ON 1000 FOLLOWERS!!! For your event, may I request a scenario of Zhongli w Virgo? HENFJD maybe hurt/comfort for the genre!!
scared to be lonely (hc scenario)
penpal: omg tysm comrade anon !! hope this is to ur liking <3
prompt: virgo the maiden, age soulmate au
pairing/s: zhongli x gn!reader
sypnosis: in which zhongli falls in love with the person who he thought wasn’t his destined other.
include/s: spoilers on archon quest, chapter one (liyue): acts 1-3, hurt/comfort, minor character death, zhongli avoiding reader, hu tao as reader’s friend!
note: in this fanfic, people will know that they've met their soulmate when either some parts of their hair turns gray or have wrinkles on their hands. after that, it will take a long time for the person and their soulmate to earn more of those again until they're at the right age to have more of the features.
Tumblr media
-> in all his 6000 years of life, there was never a day when zhongli didn't stop thinking about his soulmate.
-> as a god, he wonders if he's actually ever going to grow old when he meets his soulmate. would his hair turn gray and earn wrinkles as he spends each day with his destined other? or would he suffer to watch his soulmate grow fragile and old while he still looks the same as ever?
-> he would be lying if he said he wasn't scared.
-> it wasn't exactly like this back then though. back before he started co-ruling liyue, he was always looking forward to meeting the person he's meant to be with– not batting an eye on the darker side of the system. it wasn't until he met his best friend when he realized just how much there's a lot to the soulmate system.
-> zhongli could recall the old days when his friend used to talk about soulmates all day with no sign of giving up on the topic. although he would've been annoyed, he couldn't bring himself to, not when he too is as interested in the system as she did.
-> it's safe to say that he felt pity for the goddess when he found out that her destined other passed away, leaving her alone with her people to protect and guide. he thought how tragic it is for a goddess to talk about something she'll never get to have again.
-> because of this, he started to wonder if his soulmate is alive or not.
-> during the passing of guizhong, her last words never left his mind. "look for your soulmate. look for them and never doubt the system."
-> it was enough for zhongli to start hoping more on meeting his soulmate, swearing to his dear friend that he'll never give up on it.
-> centuries have passed and he's still the same.
-> now that he gave up his gnosis to the hands of the fatui, he's no longer the geo archon and is now known as zhongli. although he had difficulties with managing his mora, he's still enjoys living among his people, thrilled to try out things he hasn't had the chance to when he was guiding liyue.
-> he was also excited to officially start looking for his soulmate.
-> to start off, he decided to plan out ways to be in public places. it was a risky and complicated move but it was easier for him to identify if his soulmate is in liyue or not. which leads him to his new hobbies: taking morning strolls around the city, visit some parts of the nation in excuse of "retrieving items needed for funerals", and so on.
-> everyday he made sure to check his features, hoping to see at least a sign of growing old.
-> throughout his journey, he met you; the infamous adventurer who go around places where most common folk dare not to go to. he was introduced to you by the director of the wangsheng funeral parlor, hu tao, who claims that you're one of her dearest companions when going to wuwang hill.
-> zhongli was actually interested in how a few acquaintances of his speak highly of you, curious of your potentials and all. luckily for him, you felt the same way to him as well, interested in the mysterious consultant that your dear friend has been speaking about.
-> which led you two to where you are: eating in wanmin restaurant after hu tao left you both for some "important matters."
-> surprisingly, you both got along really well. with your share of love for liyue, it got you two connected to your conversations that you two could think of, ending with you two talking for hours on end until the sun went down.
-> the last topic you two talked about was soulmates.
"ah i see.." you frowned from zhongli's explanation on his experience of his soulmate. "i too haven't found my other for as long as i could remember. it's actually the reason why i became an adventurer in the first place: if i could adventure around the nation, then maybe my soulmate could be out there somewhere if not in the harbor."
"and if they're not in the nation? what would you do?" zhongli asks.
you sigh. "i'm afraid i might as well give up. i don't exactly have the resources and knowledge on other nations, not to mention the lack of mora to travel the other nations."
zhongli nods slowly, looking down at his drink with a defeated sigh. he would've convinced you to keep going, but who is he to tell you?
you then look outside, gasping lightly when you notice how the sky is turning into the colors of sunset.
"oh my, i didn't realize how much time passed by. i have to visit katheryne to discuss about my commissions." you explain, slowly standing up from your seat with zhongli following. "i suppose we can continue this next time...?" you ask.
the consultant hums in agreement with a small smile. "we may continue conversing when we're both available for the day."
you smile in relief. "well let me know when you're available. you can always find me here if i'm not busy with commissions."
"i would like that."
-> after a while, the two of you indeed meet up again for the second time, for the third time, and the fourth time.
-> throughout those times, zhongli started thinking about you more. he always made sure he looks decent enough before going to wanmin restaurant, listens to every word that comes out of your mouth, and even sometime became distracted from staring at your features. hell, he even pays for some of your meals when he doesn't forget to bring his wallet.
-> he realized that he's starting to have feelings for someone who isn't his soulmate.
-> zhongli began to feel guilty because of it. it wasn't right to love someone who isn't his destined other. even if he accepts the fact that he loves you, who can say that you love him back? you have your own soulmate to look for.
-> it wasn't until his feelings became unbearable enough that he decided to avoid you, not wanting to ruin the friendship he cherishes.
-> as if this didn't make things complicated for him, you recently started looking for him. whenever you see him by the streets, you immediately try to come up to him, only for him to get away and never spoke a word with you.
-> days turned to weeks and he still hasn't stopped. he was impressed that you're still trying to reach out to him but he knew this won't continue for long.
-> as for his job in the wangsheng funeral parlor, he made sure to form a contract with hu tao to not make you visit him or talk to him during work hours, with his reason of "wanting to focus more on his job as the consultant." he was thankful for the director to not question his motives, accepting his contract (reluctantly) and did what he told her to.
-> it was a bad decision, really. but what else can he do? he'd rather avoid you than let you know about his feelings.
-> he was so focused on his problem that he didn't even realized a major change.
it was a rainy day in liyue, with zhongli taking a short stroll around the area near bubu pharmacy with his umbrella, arguing with his thoughts on what he should do with his feelings for you.
what if he meets his soulmate and doesn't love them as much as he does for you? is this celestia's punishment because of what he did?
the man was too deep in his thoughts to notice someone calling out for him until he felt a hand on his shoulder.
"zhongli," his eyes widens when he hears your voice, slowly turning around to see you with a furious look that is plastered on your face. "it's been a while, has it?"
he nervously looks away from your glare, the feeling of guilt creeping unto him. "it has... i apologize for my lack of attendance to our daily meetings, wangsheng funeral parlor has been keeping me busy lately."
"how bold of you to say that when i keep seeing you talking to other people whilst avoiding me like a plague." you comment, gripping his shoulder tightly to make sure he doesn't slip away from you like before.
zhongli winces, not from how tight your grip was but from you pointing out his obvious actions. "i... i can't really explain why i'm doing it."
"then could you at least tell me if i did anything wrong?"
"oh, i'm not doing this because you did something wrong," zhongli reassures you. "it's.. complicated but i can reassure you that it has nothing to do with you."
"couldn't you at least try to talk to me? i've been.. i've been trying to reach out to you because i noticed something." you said softly, slowly letting go of him from your grip.
his silence urged you to continue, causing you to slowly look down. "i need you to check on my hair. what can you see?"
zhongli was confused with your request, doing what you told him to without any question and checks your hair closely. "...it's hair–"
his eyes widens when he notices strands of gray hair.
you look up from the ground. "you saw the gray hair, yeah?" you chuckle lightly when your eyes lands on his stunned face. “i know i might make you uncomfortable for what i'm about to say but.. i noticed my gray hair after i met you." you explained with an awkward smile.
he felt his heart dropped, now realizing that he didn't check himself closely ever since he started avoiding you. did he started to show signs of old age as well?
you then continued. "i would've thought it was someone else but during the time you and i hung out, i only met everyone i already knew. you're the only person that’s new to my life and i literally don't know what to do if you don't have the signs."
you took a deep breath for a moment. "if you did notice the signs on you... then are you avoiding me because of how i'm your soulmate?" you ask.
he immediately shook his head profusely. "of course not. i'd... i'd be happy to be your other half if celestia were allow it–"
"then why are you avoiding me?"
before zhongli could finish, you quickly point at his hair. "zhongli, hu tao has told me that you started to have gray hair the day after we met. i don't even know if you're aware of it but i see no other reason for you to avoid me other than the fact that you don't want me." you explained, voice slightly cracking at the end of your sentence.
his heart ached at the thought of you thinking that he doesn't want you. don't you realize just how much he wants you? how he wished that you were his soulmate so that he didn't have to feel bad about loving you?
he reaches out to his long hair, checking if hu tao was telling the truth. he felt thrilled when he saw strands of gray hair.
"if... if you don't want me that much, then you can–" you stopped talking when you felt muscular arms wrapped around you, your breath hitched from the sudden affection.
"forgive me," he whispers by your ear. "forgive me... forgive me for being foolish enough to not realize that i finally found you."
before you could talk, he continues. “i only avoided you because i fell in love with you. i got… i was afraid that you aren’t my soulmate and i had to suffer this feeling knowing that i have someone that i’m meant to be with.”
“you… you love me?” you asked, your voice being shaky.
“always.”
you then found yourself slowly hugging your soulmate back, tears starting to form in your eyes as you exhaled out the breath that you've been holding for an amount of time.
the two of you continued to stand in the middle of the bridge under the heavy rain in each other’s arms, finally relieved that your two problems together had been solved.
after so many years, the both of you can finally stop being scared now that you found each other.

Genshin Impact: Zhongli —Aesthetic
Tumblr media
Zhongli’s Character & Personality
Zhongli is one of the oldest gods in Teyvat as the current vessel of the Geo Archon, Morax. He decided to experience the world from a mortal’s perspective and became a mysterious Wangsheng Funeral Parlor consultant. Working for Hu Tao, Zhongli performs all manner of rituals, but he doesn’t like her childish behavior. Zhongli is handsome, elegant, calm, reserved, polite and a master of rules. In addition, he’s humble and worries he’s a “bourgeois parasite”. Extremely knowledgeable in all things, Zhongli knows much about Liyue’s history and culture with great respect for its traditions; including those which have been forgotten or warped overtime. Despite holding philosophical ideas towards money, he forgets about Mora in transactions, agreeing to spend large sums of it without having any on hand and takes “discounts”, which are obvious scams. Thus, Zhongli often relies on his acquaintances for financial support. He shamelessly spends the Funeral Parlor or Childe’s Mora. This carelessness stems from being the creator of Mora. After choosing to live among mortals, he lacked the foresight to find an alternative for his people to mine Mora in his absence, or create a retirement fund for himself. Being a reminiscent person, Zhongli enjoys Osmanthus wine. He and his friends used to drink it when they met up in Liyue. Zhongli also dislikes seafood. It reminds him of the promise he made to his people when he fought a particular sea creature; however, he doesn’t mind eating seafood if its been ground to a pulp.

Liyue was nothing like Snezhnaya. The first obvious reason was the heat, but there were many others. The culture, the buildings and even the way people built relationships. Childe didn't have any trouble merging into this way of making business - especially for the Northland Bank, it was very convenient to be stablished under the law of contracts. Speaking of which... Where are you hiding, Geo Archon? He was enjoying living in Liyue Harbor, but Childe never forgot his true objective - finding the gnosis to offer it back to His Royal Highness the Tsaritsa. The Traveler was a new and interesting piece on his game. Childe was sure they could help him find the gnosis, even if they were not fully aware of this... yet. The skies were tainted orange from the sunset, but a figure a few meters away drew his attention more than the sky. Zhongli. The mysterious consultant had become an important ally to him and, maybe more than he'd like to admit, an even greater company. The fatui hurried in his direction, a smile upon his lips. "Zhongli Xiansheng!" he called out, standing right next to him. "Fancy meeting you here... Tell me, would you like to have dinner with me? I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Traveler." That should have been all, but deep in his heart Childe knew it was also convenient to spend time in his company. This was a dangerous game.

In terms of physical strength, how would you rate the the Diluc Harem (including Diluc)
(rubs hands together)
Anon, you're speaking my language cause this is my JAM.
Everything is BELOW THE LINK because it is genuinely a lot.
Also, there are spoilers for all characters mentioned in the tags, so read at your own risk. I’m not a monster.
Diluc Harem AU: Physical Strength
Important Notes:
The various weapons they all use are your typical anime-esque inefficient and irrational, but for the purposes of this analysis, I will be drawing examples from the real world that best compare to the fighting styles and the skills of the characters themselves.
The claymore, due to the obnoxious size in the game, will be taken into account with the consideration that the largest one discovered was seven and a half feet long and roughly 23 pounds. This weight is sufficient for evaluation.
The bow and arrow, due to its size, variability, observable features, and how it's used in combat, will be evaluated as a standard recurve bow.
The spear will be a Chinese lance sword (due to the sheer size of the spearhead) seeing as that is the closest thing to Zhongli's canonical spear in terms of the shape and size of the shaft, the design and use of the spear (slicing instead of stabbing) and the features of the spearhead itself.
Taking into consideration not only the types of weapons they wield, but their regular tasks from day-to-day, and how active they are outside of their necessary activities, this is how it matches up:
---
Zhongli: The Geo Archon - N/A (Not Applicable)
"Wangsheng Funeral Parlor's mysterious consultant. Handsome, elegant, and surpassingly learned.
Though no one knows where Zhongli is from, he is a master of courtesy and rules. From his seat at Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, he performs all manner of rituals."
Before you come at me, this man is, at best, wielding a stick with a spearhead that weighs five pounds at the least. I'm not saying that it doesn't take skill or strength to wield one because it most certainly does. He also has that flair when he kicks the spear before thrusting it into some hilichurl in the gameplay, it's just that:
Have you seen this man do anything other than chill for most of his mortal existence?
He's watching shows, buying all sorts of knickknacks, at a restaurant, getting his credit card Childe to pay for it all. All in all, he's hardly breaking a sweat. Sure, he gets around, he's not feeble, but he's not exerting himself all that much. He is, for all intents and purposes, vibing.
Rex Lapis doesn't really come up in this AU and the strength behind that life would not have been taken into account even if he was. Anon, you said physical strength. Purely physical.
HE'S A FUCKING GOD.
And not just any god, he's the most powerful Archon to exist. Any and all competition for physical feats would be rendered completely unfair.
Besides, he wanted to chill in this mortal life, so I will let him.
Beidou: Captain of the Crux - #3
"Captain of the Crux, with quite the reputation in Liyue. There are those who say she can split mountains and part the sea.
Others say she draws lightning through her sword. Some say that even the mightiest of sea beasts are no match for her. For those not from Liyue, it may sound like a hearty joke, but those that have sailed with her will say—
'No matter what sea beasts there may be, Beidou will be sure to split them all in two.'"
For starters, considering that the claymore is heavy as fuck, her arms are swole. It's a giant sword that she's swinging around, of course she has the biceps of a chiseled god. Literally any character that goes around wielding one should have ripped arms. Yes, even Sayu.
After looking at her fighting styles and moves, she mostly wields her claymore two-handed. She does, however, occasionally do that little kick thing to give herself momentum before swinging her claymore one-handed. That's a lot, considering how heavy that thing is, the momentum she has to make herself, and the aerodynamics of swinging a glorified wedge into things that need to die.
If you look at her elemental burst, she uses the claymore with both hands as a shield before pulling a Meliodas and countering the ever-loving fuck out of her enemies, still using both hands. Practicing that control takes a lot of strength and perseverance, two things she has loads of.
Her regular life also requires a lot of physical strength and fortitude, citing the fact that she's the captain of one of the best ships in Liyue. Navigating a boat includes pulling ropes, moving cargo, and all sorts of other menial tasks and labor. And guys, the helm (steering wheel) is heavy. And it must be noted that she killed a leviathan without a vision. Without a vision. Chopped it clean in half.
She deserves to be placed in the top ten for all of Genshin Impact for that reason alone.
---
Diluc: The Darknight - #2
"As the wealthiest gentleman in Mondstadt, the ever-dapper Diluc always presents himself as the epitome of perfection. But behind the courteous visage burns a zealous soul that has sworn to protect Mondstadt at all costs, allowing him to mercilessly vanquish all who threaten his city."
I understand that this may come off as strange to the viewer, but allow me to explain myself.
Firstly, that damn specialized and probably heavier claymore is being wielded with one hand over 85% of the time in comparison to Beidou's 55% of the time when it comes to gameplay.
I watched the footage. Profusely. I'm mostly right.
Secondly, he was one of the most efficient DPS characters in the game until a certain oni absolutely obliterated him from the charts (honestly I am an Itto enjoyer first and foremost).
And lastly, he has the audacity, if not the complete gall, to carry around that damn thing with one fucking hand. Just swing it around doing fucking whatever with it.
Yes, it was one cut scene, but MY GOD. THAT THING IS HEAVY.
His regular life consists of running a winery, working a bar, and then going out in the night and stopping those who would wish Mondstadt harm (up until a certain point cough cough).
Going around in the dead of night for the sole purpose of killing monsters and catching people is much more demanding than one would think. I would know as I stay up at night doing less physically extensive things, so I think a good majority of you would know too.
His day-to-day activities are a lot, to say the least, but they were absolutely nothing compared to his three-year sojourning from Mondstadt after his father died and he left the Knights. Mind you, the Knights are a specialized force that taught him proper techniques for wielding weaponry.
This man straight up cleared entire Fatui strongholds without his Vision. Without it. These are no beasts or monsters, these are highly skilled people with a nefarious agenda at the behest of their Archon. He had to be stopped by presumably MORE THAN ONE Harbinger and even then he lived to recount it.
Are you shocked that he's not number one on this list then?
Once I'm done explaining, you won't be.
---
Tartaglia: The 11th Harbinger - #1
"Meet Tartaglia — the cunning Snezhnayan whose unpredictable personality keeps people guessing his every move. Don't be under any illusion as to what he might be thinking or what his intentions are.
Just remember this: Behind that innocent, childlike exterior lies a finely honed instrument of war."
If you thought that Diluc was a piece of work, then you haven't seen anything yet.
The most important reminder: HE ENJOYS THE SENSATION OF BATTLE, STRIFE, AND BLOODSHED.
To put it into simple terms, he says he uses the bow because he is the least adept at it.
And it doesn't fucking help that the recurve bow requires the strength to hold back 30-50 pounds of force before letting go to fire, which he does with devastating ease.
Every single arrow is backed up by that force and he does it so casually it's painful to watch. And the way he does it turns my head another 180 degrees out of sheer audacity. In one of his shots, he pulls the string from his back behind him. BEHIND HIM.
Another reminder: He was always the kind to fuck around and find out BEFORE he fell into the Abyss and this was amplified afterward. It didn't help that he fell in at 14 and was trained by a creature in it.
Also, that little tidbit about him being the least skilled with a bow?
This is implying that he has not only mastered every weapon he's touched but that he is so mastered at them that anyone who went up against him would be undeniably clowned.
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS HE?
The chilling reminder: This man regards himself as the ultimate warrior, meant to conquer the entirety of the world.
Childe is objectively the most powerful person in this entire setup. Period. No doubt about it. He deserves to be here. I wouldn't want him knowing of my existence. Out of all of the characters in Genshin Impact, Tartaglia terrifies me.
And he should fucking terrify you too.
---
So in summary (TL;DR):
Zhongli - Cannot be applied (A god) Beidou - Fortuitous Captain (#3) Diluc - Blazing Reactionary (#2) Childe - Ascending Warrior God (#1)
I hope this answers your question, anon!
I spent like three hours on this and I had so much to do lol
This was fun! I may have gone absolutely ham, but it was a blast. Do not hesitate to ask me stuff like this in the future . . . but also tell me how deep next time lmao.
Now back to our regularly scheduled dose of crack.

🤧 for Baizhu, 🍰 for Zhongli and 🍫 for Kaeya? Hope that isn't too many at once! (Btw, tumblr ate this the first time I sent it so you might have gotten it twice)
Hello again and thank you for your ask. I can't wait to try answer them! (●^o^●)
🤧 - Food allergies for Baizhu
I already made a post to that matter as you know, hihi. But again I imagine him as higly lactose intolerant, like he's getting nauseous from the smell alone. To the second thought, which I also already mentioned in a post, but only in passing. We all know that he has some ailment bag him every step he takes, wich I think makes it difficult for him to eat anything most of the time ( he also doesn't feel hungry often cause snakes don't eat every day even his human form forces him to) . He lives on medicinal soups and stews for the main time, but he don't like them himself that much anymore (just too much). On a good day he can handle some bits of meat with nothing on side and celebrates it like a ritual each time. Altogether he's forced to care more about the medicinal effect of his food than the taste, it doesn't equal an allergy, but it restricts his diet as well as one. It's like he's allergic to everything unhealthy, too flavourful, of wrong consistency depending on his constituion each day...
Little extra: As snakes just swallow their food whole, our dear snake doctor not only once nearly choked on food because he just forgot to chew while he was in a hurry. There are always ways to make it harder for oneself...
🍰 - What's their favorite dessert? When did they discover it? for Zhongli
Zhongli wasn't a dessert type. He prefers his tea and tries everything at least once even he knows he probably doesn't like it. At least that whats known of the mysterious Funeral consultant.
Yaoyao knew that and approached him one windy evening with a small piece of caramel as gold as the setting autumn sun. With a friendly bow of the head, he accepted the little girl's gift and bit into it with the expectation of tasting the pure earthy sweetness of the sugar beets in Qince village like the last time she let him try her selfmade sweets. But that was not all this time. In addition to that sweetness, a slight hint of rock salt awaited him. The complexity of rock salt obtained from the Aozang mountain and washed out in the Luhuha pond.
Since that day, even the former Geo Archon knows the answer to the question of what he prefers for dessert.. at least on some days.

🍫 - What's their comfort food/drink? Why? for Kaeya
Wine...but not any wine. Special ones, which are stored in the basement of the Dawn Winery estate and yet not sold. Experiments of his brother, which partly went wrong, partly just do not meet his high standards. Signs that show Kaeya that Diluc has not yet completely left behind his family heritage, although it was officially sold. Every sip forces a tiny smile to form on his lips. It's the only time he doesn't try to get drunk on alcohol but enjoy every drop of it.
Sometimes he builds a real little picnic behind the huge wine barrels, with his favourite meat skewers, cheese and grapes. It remembers him of the times he played hide and seek with Diluc...
I hope you like my ideas ^^"

GENSHIN IMPACT FANFIC REC LIST II
(previous: part i)
Seaglass by Aevas
There was more to the contract than a gnosis and test of Liyue. It seemed like a simple deal five hundred years ago: so long as Morax never had a soulmate, the Tsaritsa would never harm Liyue and she would not get his gnosis. But the moment he gained a soulmate, all that belonged to him was forfeit. He thought the deal left Liyue safe—he'd lived thousands of years without a soulmate. The Tsaritsa would be dead and gone by the time she'd have a chance to collect.
Five hundred years later, Childe appears in Liyue, Zhongli gains a soulmate mark, and everything falls apart.
(The obligatory soulmate AU, featuring a Zhongli with PTSD, an oblivious Childe, and demon-worshipping cultists.)
Ships: Zhongli/Childe
Notes: I CANNOT BELIEVE I SLEPT ON THIS FIC FOR SO LONG. Read it and I mean it! I admitted initially steered clear of this fic because I wasn’t comforted with a soulmate tartali fic pre-Osial but this fic is actually post-Ostial *facepalm* The writing is phenomenal and Aevas does some beautiful worldbuilding that you typically don’t see in Genshin Impact fics. I love the dynamic between Childe and Zhongli here and the angst is real. The author writes the two as very human characters who makes mistakes, etc. and notably Zhongli struggles with the concept of Childe as his soulmate (who understandably is upset by the rejection when he realizes). They get better though. Also very plotty. A+ writing.
it's a hard rock life for us by reptilianraven
“Ah, no need to worry about that,” Azhdaha waves a dismissive hand. “There is no real Kun Jun. He’s dead.”
A leaf blows past and plaps onto Aether’s face.
“You killed him???” Paimon screeches.
“No,” Azhdaha scrunches his eyebrows. “He was dead when I found him.”
“And you just decided to wear his corpse?” Aether says, leaf still on his face.
He shrugs. “It was free real estate.”
“Azhdaha...” Morax says, sounding vaguely pained.
-
Or the one where Historia Antiqua Chapter II: No Mere Stone goes a little bit different and Azhdaha gets more time.
He ultimately uses that time to bully Morax into confronting his immortal neuroses, to make Aether and Paimon suffer, and to figure out how to get that ginger boy Morax has his eye on to make a move already.
Ships: Zhongli/Childe, Past Azhdaha/Zhongli
Notes: Very lighthearted, humor-filled fic. Love how Azhdaha is so flippant. Interactions with Zhongli and Childe are pure gold.
if there's a light at the end, it's just the sun in your eyes by moonlight_mist
Childe has a Weapon problem- specifically, that he can't keep one.
He's too reckless, too wild, and too keen on pushing his Weapon partners past their limits. He's just about ready to give up when he meets Zhongli, a Weapon who just might be the solution- so long as Childe can manage to keep his dick in his pants.
Ships: Zhongli/Childe
Notes: This is a Soul Eater AU with some college/university AU vibes (?) but you don’t really need to know much about the anime. It’s a cute AU and I love the premise. Light angst but otherwise, it’s a pretty semi-plotty fic. Easter egg Kaeya and Diluc though.
To Kill A God by IlluminanceinTales
In Snezhnaya, they call them sansis—lost souls that have no guidance but themselves. It’s an apt description, given that most of the time, wannabe-Archons have to go through dozens of tests with nothing as their reference, relying solely on their wit and strength and hoping it would be enough. At least, until they survive the end of the whole game—and they might not have to undergo a painful reincarnation which feels like a hundred bones being stitched together again.
On his seventh game, Childe Tartaglia reincarnates this time in the body of a young man.
Damn, he thinks, looking down at his thin body, his slightly calloused fingers. This won’t be good when facing the other Hydro Decisions.
In a world where an Archon's position is not chosen but fought for in games, Childe Tartaglia is a Hydro Decision who's poised to become the next Hydro Archon. Of course, that's only if he survives his seventh reincarnation. All would be so much easier if it weren't for a certain Geo Archon interfering with every possible chance he gets.
Ships: Zhongli/Childe
Notes: Think Hunger Games meet Political Intrigue meet Genshin Impact. Love the premise and world building that’s done. Features overprotective Zhongli and lots of Childe whump. Has one or two supplementary OCs that aren’t really important outside of plot device reasons. Warning for character death tho lmao.
Three's a Family by IlluminanceinTales
Childe finds a kid that looks just like him.
Of course Zhongli wants to keep him.
Or: How a harbinger and an archon accidentally become fathers. The kid is their wingman
Ships: Childe/Zhongli (?)
Notes: Your everyday cute AF kid fic. Fluffy as hell and super cute. Zhongli and Childe get domestic pretty quickly. Xiao gets dubbed a grandfather and begrudgingly plays along. Super wholesome.
in pitch dark i go walking in your landscape by snowbrigade
He glanced down at him, at the silvery scars peeking out from beneath his robe, and at his eyes, properly now. They were the bright blue of high quality noctilucous jade, but he could see it, an underlying darkness.
Zhongli wondered what his eyes betrayed about himself. --
Rex Lapis is dead. Zhongli, formerly known as triad leader Rex Lapis, is a detective investigating his own "death." Childe, also known as Tartaglia of the Fatui mafia, is undercover as an escort looking to kill Rex Lapis- until someone beats him to it, and he wants to know who. Goals intersecting, they form a partnership of ulterior motives.
Ships: Zhongli/Childe
Notes: There’s like one scene that skews NSFW but otherwise surprisingly not explicit. Really fun AU. Like how the author addresses Childe’s reaction to being stuck with the undercover escort stuff and how the dynamic between the two develops. Pretty plotty so far.
Phantom Lines by iskendaris
“It’s a measure of one’s self, Mr Zhongli.” Childe says. “Maybe you don’t understand it since you work as a consultant, but as an ambassador from the Tsaritsa, as one who fights in her name— this is how I learn to know the measure of myself.” “I understand,” Zhongli says thoughtfully. “It is a warrior’s way, to test one’s strength against the incomparable. To find where one falls short. To find where one has risen to the challenge.”
In which Childe has insomnia, vandalizes public property and runs into a mysterious funeral consultant on his first night in Liyue.
Ships: Zhongli/Childe
Notes: THE FEELS. I can only describe this as the fic where Zhongli pays Best Boyfriend Ever only to FUCK UP big time (via Gnosis deception). Poor, poor Childe. Look, he gave the boy feelings and then broke him. You can really feel Childe fall in love in this love. He also does mental swooning a lot lmao.
adventitious by Anonymous
It's said the Ley Lines remember all things that happen in this world, from the surface down to the deepest depths... But in the hidden corners where the Gods' gaze does not fall, there are those who dream of dreaming.
There's a dormant bud where Kaeya's eye once was. One day, it will bloom. (Never forget: memory is untrustworthy.)
Ships: Diluc/Kaeya
Notes: I don’t even know where to start. This is very headcanony and lore-focused. Very much concentrated on Khaenri'ah. The implications of this story is grotesque to say the least (according to this fic, Visions are the literal eyes of the people of Khaenri'ah). Warnings for eye and body horror.
Without Those Dark Memories by StrangeDiamond
Diluc awakens in Stormterror’s Lair with no memories of the past five years. Kaeya is on the trail of a rogue alchemist, with a habit of testing his chemicals on unwilling human subjects. Now, in addition to capturing the criminal, Kaeya has to shake him down for an antidote . . . and deal with an amnesiac Diluc who acts exactly like he did before their brotherhood fell apart. (Standalone Fic.)
Ships: Diluc/Kaeya
Notes: This is sort of a classic amnesia fic. I particularly really liked the way that Kaeya was written in this. I feel like the author did a really good job nailing his character and they have a way of capturing the subtle things.
Through the warmth, through the cold by strikedawn
“It’s you!” Paimon shouted with a twirl in mid-air.
“…Excuse me?"
They were drunk. Were they drunk? Was he drunk? Because Kaeya had the feeling his guests had been talking to him for a while now, but none of their words had made any sense whatsoever.
That was, until Venti stepped firmly in front of Kaeya’s desk and set his hands on the top, the better to lean over towards Kaeya and say: “For the end of the Windblume festival, Sir Kaeya Alberich, we’re going to auction a date with you.”
Ships: Diluc/Kaeya
Notes: Shortword, Kaeya gets auctioned off. Diluc makes impulsive (but good) decisions and scores himself a Date but displays an inability to do Date Planning. Venti deserves a pat on the back. Very sweet.
Hide and Seek by Kiri_Kaitou_Clover
Childe did not expect regaining his memories would bring him such frustration.
He makes the best of the situation by messing with one amber eyed consultant in anyway he can.
A reincarnated storm god wades through life in Liyue, all while screaming about one dragon god's incompetency at being human.
Ships: Zhongli/Childe
Notes: Features Childe as Osial’s very exasperated reincarnation, who gets the joy of discovering that his rival/enemy Morax is not only an idiot but also broke AF. He still falls in love anyway. Contains this golden line:
"Did... did that complete blockhead really use my money in order to get me a gift that basically says that he is proposing to me?!"
(Osial was screaming. When had the other god become like this?! Had he always been like this?!)
Getting that Bread by tzitzimeme
Concubine AU where Zhongli is Emperor, Xiao is an assassin sent to kill him while disguised as a woman in his imperial harem, and the only reason he doesn't actually do it is because he pities Zhongli for being so catastrophically stupid (also Xiao falls in love).
Ships: Zhongli/Xiao
Notes: Like Xiao says, Zhongli is an idiot. Fluff and humor filled. Xiao spends a good 95% of this exasperated by Zhongli’s bullshit.
prayers for a boy by Recluse
The only way to reconciliation is fierce combat!
Hm... Come to think of it, there will be a lot of interesting news to be heard the next time we gather for drinks. Filling in the blanks.
Ships: N/A
Notes: I...don’t really know where to begin with this? It’s exactly what the summary implies...but more? I was tempted to describe this as the fic where Zhongli puts his foot in his mouth but...that’s not exactly write? I feel like this was more of a character study. It explores the aftermath of the Osial Incident and how Zhongli and Childe reconnect. Platonically...though I guess it can be read romantically.
one kind of longing, two places of sorrow by lady_peony
Zhongli's hands rest behind his back, both gloved hands clasping one another. His fingers tighten around one another for the merest moment, before he relaxes his grip.
"There is a tradition in Liyue," Zhongli says, his back still to Childe standing behind him, "of inviting out a companion to a last meal before a farewell."
A pause.
"A tradition?" Childe echoes.
"Yes."
"With a companion?"
"Yes."
Ships: Zhongli/Childe
Notes: The fic where neither of the two communicate about jackshit but go on a quiet, sad not-date before Childe leaves for Snezhnaya. Childe pulls (? on accident or on purpose, I can not tell) the equivalent of leaving the jacket in the car post-date to get date to call for the second date. Also, the author has a gift for like...writing angst...without writing angst? Like the whole fic is like brimming with everything that the characters aren’t saying but the thoughts aren’t necessarily written out BUT YOU KNOW THOSE DUMBFUCKS ARE JUST LIKE. BRIMMING WITH FEELS?
The People of Liyue by queer_occurrences
But Zhongli whispers, his low voice rooted in the back of Childe’s mind. “Changsun, the merchant, who is never too Mora-enthralled to turn away a needy child. There’s Tiantian—she will allow anyone to join the Adventurer’s Guild—she knows what it is to be desperate.”
Childe ducks away from them and hurries out over the bridge. It’s a warm, sunny day, the kind he would have complained about, whining about his delicate Snezhnayan skin. “It’ll burn, or worse, freckle. Would you still like me if I was freckled?”
Then Zhongli would say, “The people of Liyue will remember your sacrifice.” And he would wrinkle his nose.
Or: after it all goes down, Childe takes a walk.
Ships: Zhongli/Childe
Notes: The author has a way with perfectly balancing angst with humor in a way that makes you cackle. There’s a lot of feels in this one. Zhongli tries communicating--Childe runs away a lot. There’s a lot of love for Liyue in this one.
cold blooded, warm blooded, hearts all the same by reptilianraven
Teyvat Petting Zoo @tyvtpettingzoo
Well would you look at that! Zhongli, our resident spinytail iguana, has gotten quite cozy with Childe, our new (and very feisty) ginger ferret! Aren’t they adorable all cuddled together like this? 😍😍😍
[Attached image shows a brown spinytail iguana curled up against a ginger ferret. The iguana’s head is nuzzled under the snout of the ferret.]
-
At the Teyvat Petting Zoo, Zhongli and Childe fall in love.
Ships: Zhongli/Childe
Notes: ...I promise I’m not weird. This is just super cute. Cross-species love affair? Childe the ferret is very besotted. The internet is confused and the zoo keepers are just done.
a geo archon's guide to the modern era by Erina
“Morax,” Xiao says after Zhongli finishes his retelling of the incident. “He thinks you’re a weirdo.”
“No, don’t say that,” Barbatos snickers. “You’ll give him hope that this is salvageable.” He lowers his voice. “Morax, he thinks you’re a boomer.”
(In which Zhongli hibernates for centuries and wakes up in the modern world)
Ships: Zhongli/Childe
Notes: This took me, I shit you not, FIVE SEPARATE ATTEMPTS to read. Not because it was bad but BECAUSE THE SECOND HAND EMBARRASSMENT WAS REAL. Like, omg, just reading about Zhongli’s introduction to modernity made me want to dig a hole and die. Super funny though. Do not read in public or you will look like a lunatic. Has a...parallel (?) fic in the same series called  buy two get one archon free where Zhongli gets reversed isekai’d into an anime convention.
time flies like an arrow by Erina
He’s tired, tired of the unbreakable loop of watching his loved ones pass on, tired of getting attached only for the connection to be violently ripped away from him. He wonders if the real victors during the Archon War were those who perished, who died long before their godhood turned into a curse that chained them to the land that they were fighting for.
But that is not a problem for Childe to worry about. That is Zhongli’s burden to bear, delivered to him in a pretty package years ago in the form of a gnosis.
His very first contract.
(Zhongli and Childe, across many lifetimes)
Ships: Zhongli/Childe
Notes: This is a quiet fic. It’s this kind of slice-of-life fic colored by this overpowering sense of love and loss as Zhongli remains immortal and Childe dies and lives and dies and lives for hundreds of lifetimes, but always finds his way back to his geo archon. It’s so lovely but also unbearably sad.
Tartaglia’s Favorite Professor by GreyLiliy
The famed hitman Tartaglia of the Fatui Syndicate spends his days as the charming college student Childe. The two lives remain as separate as possible in order to maintain a flawless cover to keep the authorities off his back and to better serve the Tsaritsa.
However, new intel about a rival syndicate intersects his two lives in a way he could never have predicted.
Ships: Zhongli/Childe
Notes: Mafia AU meet College AU. Childe is somehow both a horny AF college student and murderous hitman. Zhongli gives off major DILF vibes. GreyLily somehow makes this work while also avoiding cringe. Highly recommended!
like a handprint on my heart by fallingintodivinity
“Strictly off-the-record,” Jean says, with a small smile, “I’m really happy to see you and Captain Kaeya getting along again, Master Diluc.”
“We’re not – we’re not getting along,” Diluc tells her, indignant. “We’re working together. Unwillingly, I might add.”
“Yes – oh, yes, of course.”
Diluc stares at Jean suspiciously. “Are you laughing at me?”
Jean clears her throat primly. “I would never.”
Ships: Diluc/Kaeya
Notes: Super, super cute! Sort of reads like a first date fic except genshin impact style? Writing style is very refreshing!

💗 @herrscherbled.
“The crystal flowers that the kids were speaking about? Uh-huh, they were indeed mine,”  Elysia smiles at the man without thinking of how the kiddos might have described the flowers to others. They disappeared the moment the pinkette said she had to go, but it seemed like the children’s tales will travel just as far as the wind’s current. It made the woman chuckle as she noted on the bright golden gaze of his, making her immediately think of her dearest friend Eden, but it was quickly tossed away as she’d continue.
“Are you perhaps an appraiser? With eyes that seem to reflect the knowledge and the wisdom of someone who has seen enough, it makes me wonder just what exactly will you find in the crystallized flowers that have no place in this world? Are you searching for the heavenly blessing of radiance or are you perhaps indulging in the fairytales told by children, hoping it is true as they say?”
The poetic ways of speaking would continue as the woman giggles again and then shakes her head as if to toss away that flowery language. The kids must’ve called her a goddess as Elysia introduced herself, a joking manner of calling herself a deity of love. How serious will she be taken was unknown, but her words were always carried with a mischievous but a warm note.
“For the one who has stepped under the light of the lanterns in the City of Contracts, this delicate flower will expose her blossoming blessings,” the ungloved palm opens up before the man, from the nowhere appear glimmers of pink before the crystals start to dance in the air, levitating above her palm. The soft and warm glow radiated from them, mysteriously and alluringly.
Before, kids played as the crystal flowers were levitating above their heads without being touched. Elysia’s smile softens as she lets the crystals dance in the air around her then, transforming into three flowers that then would return to levitate above her extended hand.
“In the city of the Geo Archon, I can only hope that their radiance will not be offended by the sight of my blessing. Does this satisfy your curiosity of the rosy radiance? This gift cannot be carried away. I will advise for you not to hold them for too long if you wish to make sure they are real. Would you like to touch one of them before my departure, dear stranger? Perhaps, it is luck that led you here. I was about to search for a place to stay after indulging the youth.”
(Elysia without knowing that she is standing before the Geo Archon: Look at how pretty my crystal flowers are, I hope CEO of GEO won't be offended that they're so pretty. Well, my cute appearance should soothe any consequences!)

Zhongli did nothing as he listened to the other, only looking in solemn silence, unmoving, calm and controlled as always. Words of a mysterious traveler with particular abilities yet no visions had him investigate, especially since the words came from young civilians. After all, in retirement, he had time, and he’d hate to put the Millelith in danger against an unknown foe. Since an individual able to control all elements without a vision woke up after falling from the sky, who would know if anything else was possible...
A hand delicately raised towards the nearest flower, wishing to inspect it, although the consultant’s fingertips only grazed against its petal, not willing to disturb its levitation, although only briefly before his hand was brought to his back, posture relaxed but serious. He could not detect any Archon element, which caused him to frown internally, atop of the power emanating from this person... not unlike a Harbinger.
“ My name is Zhongli. I am a consultant at the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. I imagine you could say I am an appraiser of some sort, but for such matters, I do think that there are more credited professionals than myself for this. I only wield some general knowledge here and there. ”
The second gloved hand opened with grace, low at his belt as to not feel boastful to this Traveler, as elegant petals of a golden glazed lily opened into the dragon’s palm, slightly smaller the one he had just looked upon. With his “vision” shining at his lower back, the flower was made out of an auburn core spread Geo particles to make up its refined apparition, just as casually made, from two individuals quite used to their abilities.
“ Aesthetics are not exclusive to the land of Liyue. It would be most disrespectful to not appreciate those from quite afar.
If you wish to stay at the Harbor, Baiju Guesthouse is down the main stairs, its entrance is at the port. They can accommodate travelers who are only passing or those who stay for an extended period of time... ”

Aether knows that time...
The time that scares every big brother…
The time where their sweet little sister falls in love with a questionable man.
Aether already had that small feeling when he and his sister woke up in this world that they now call home.
The feeling intensified when they met the Cavalry Captain, Kaeya. The man hadn’t even been shy for flirting with his sister in front of him, immediately kissing her hand after the twins landed from luring Dvalin away from the city.
Aether immediately dislikes him, fearing that this flamboyant captain will break his sister’s heart.
So like every respectable big brother in Aether’s book, he keeps ratting him out on Jean and Amber, to keep him away from his sister.
Then there comes Master Diluc, who fits the category of being one of the most wanted bachelors; handsome, rich, and mysterious. At least that’s what Aether thinks based on their travels to different worlds.
Aether does not like Diluc at first, he seems to be a bit too cold and distant, he doesn't want his beloved sister to feel unloved. Though as time went on, Aether sees that he’s worthy of his sister.
The way he protects her, coming by her side as enemies run up to her, tending to her wounds when she gets hit or falls, and not to mention he’s rich.
When they get married, he’s going to live in luxury too, right? He’s family after all.
Aether was ready to give his approval if the redhead would ask him for his sister’s hand.
It was all going so smoothly and Aether can already imagine life; on their day offs, he will be sitting in front of the winery, watching the sunset as he drinks Dandelion Wine and enjoying the breeze.
So how come he’s inside a cell right now, arguing with his sister while said sister is protecting a certain ginger-haired fucker that had them ended there.
“Lumi, I swear to god, he’s so dead,” Aether said as he tries to climb over the geo constructs Lumine had set to separate him from her dear lover.
Said dear lover just stuck his tongue out at him when Lumine knocked him off with her anemo powers.
“Leave him alone, Aeth! Childe’s a victim here!” Lumine protested, keeping a close eye on her brother.
“Victim?! He almost murdered someone! That’s why we’re here, inside a fucking cell!” Aether argued with a groan.
Going to Liyue was a mistake…
He just wanted a little bit of an adventure with his sister before her hypothetical marriage with Diluc, and now his sister is dating a psychopath.
“Almost.” Childe rolled his eyes, “He tried to rob me, I had to defend myself!”
“Of course, baby, we know this. Their justice system is fucked up.” Lumine cooed, stroking his cheeks softly, making him purr and lean on her touch.
Aether gave them a look of disbelief, “You summoned a fucking whale in the middle of the city!”
“Yeah, but no one died,” Childe argued.
“You destroyed a huge part of the city...”
“And no one died.”
“We’re in jail because of you.”
“Ningguang is a bit harsh don’t you think?” Lumine huffed, “He was being robbed, how could she allow that kind of scam stall here?”
Aether sighed, “Lumi, we both travelled a shit ton of worlds before, carnival-like games are scammy as fuck and yet you still fell for Shitou’s words.”
“He outsmarted us,” Childe argued.
“...Yeah, I guess it wasn’t hard to do…” he murmured to himself but the couple didn’t miss it.
“Are you saying my baby is stupid?” Lumine gasped as she pulled Childe close to her chest as if to comfort him.
“Well, I’m not saying he’s smart.” Aether deadpanned.
“I’ll have you know, my baby is a master of different kinds of weapons.” Lumine huffed, “Isn’t that right, love?”
“Yeah, I’m almost close to mastering the bow,” Childe said proudly as he nuzzles to the blonde’s chest.
“By using your hydro blades?” Aether rolled his eyes.
“I use the bow too when they’re not available!” Childe huffed.
“And using your hand to throw the last arrow,” Aether added.
“What can I say? I love to improvise.” Childe grinned proudly.
“I know, baby, I’m so proud of you.” Lumine praised as she hugged him closer.
Aether didn’t know stupidity was contagious, and now he has to deal with this all his life? Well, not really since he and Lumine were immortal and Childe isn’t.
Unless…
He grabbed Lumine’s wrist, horrified to find out the mark that symbolises Lumine had shared her immortality with someone.
“Lumine, my dear beloved sister,” Aether’s eye twitched, “...who did you share your immortality with?”
Lumine beamed, “Why with my precious baby of course!” she said as she hugged Childe tighter, the ginger getting suffocated by her chest, he wouldn’t mind dying there, but he wouldn’t thanks to the mark he has on his wrist given by his lover.
Aether stepped back, “Lumi, you’re supposed to talk to me about this!”
“Oh, really? I don’t remember being consulted when you shared your immortality with your stupid pet fish!”
“How dare you!” Aether gasped, offended with her bad mouthing his precious fish when they were toddlers, “You have some audacity to call Bubbles stupid when you’re dating this idiot!”
“He’s not the idiot who wasted his immortality with a fish though!” Lumine hissed, “At least I can bring my baby with me to different worlds!”
“That’s so rich coming from you when you were about to share yours with your pet cat!” Aether called out.
Childe tensed pulling away from Lumine, “You said you never thought of sharing your immortality until you met me?”
“Baby, we haven’t met that time,” Lumine frowned.
“Doesn’t matter! You should’ve known you were going to meet me, I can’t believe you loved someone before me!” he sulked in his corner, rejecting Lumine’s inviting arms.
Aether raised his eyebrow, this is the first time Childe refused her, usually, his face would dive right in between her cleavage like the perverted bastard he is.
“But Childe I think that was you!” Lumine suddenly announced.
It immediately caught Childe’s attention, while Aether had never been so confused.
“Me?” Childe tilted his head in confusion.
“Oh my god, I just realised it, the cat has orange fur, blue eyes, and he would also tilt his head in confusion!” Lumine gasped, eyes wide in realisation, “And guess what I used to call that cat?”
“What?”
“Ajax.”
“Oh my god.”
Aether loved his twin, he really does, but he wished he could turn back time, figure out what mistake he had done to deserve his sister falling for an idiot.
He bit back his tongue to avoid calling out Lumine’s bluff, the cat’s fur was black and white with greenish-yellow eyes, and his name was Mittens.
“We really are soulmates.” Childe sighed happily as he went back into Lumine’s arms, “I can’t believe I was a cat in my previous life.”
Aether sighed, he’s too tired to deal with them so he let them be and walked to the bars, hoping to see any guards that could take him to a different cell.
A door opened followed by footsteps.
“Zhongli!” Aether smiled in relief, “Oh my god, please tell me you can help us.” he begged.
Zhongli smiled revealing a key, “Don’t worry, you are no longer prisoners.”
The three gasped excitedly as Zhongli opened the cell.
“How’d you convince Ningguang? She was so pissed.” Aether asked curiously.
“Well…”
~~~
After taking a sip of her afternoon tea, Ningguang feels a little sleepy. It didn’t take long until she fell asleep on her desk.
“Ningguang, Tianquan of Liyue Qixing.”
“Who’s there?” She tried to shield the blinding light, trying to see the mysterious figure.
“It’s me, the Geo Archon.”
Ningguang gasped, “My Lord, you have appeared in my dreams again.”
“I would like-”
“Yes, I accept,” Ningguang said excitedly.
“...What…?”
“I accept to be the next Geo Archon.” she repeated, “That’s why you’re here, right?”
“Uh… no…”
“Oh… I was ready to produce my own money, that kinda sucks, but okay I guess...”
“Anyway, I heard you sent the travellers and the Fatui to jail...”
“Yes, they destroyed half of the city, My Lord.”
“Yeah, well about that, you should let them free.”
“...They destroyed half of the city…”
“Yeah, but like no one died.”
“...The reconstruction is going to be expensive, plus helping those merchants who lost their stalls…”
“Bad things will happen if they stay in that cell…”
“What will happen?”
“Just really bad things, believe me, you don’t want to deal with that. Trust me, I’m Morax.”
“I… Well, yeah seems legit, I’ll set them free by your words, My Lord.”
“Ah, also there’s this fine gentleman from Wangsheng Funeral Parlor that’s having some rumours surrounding him about his debt. That is totally not true and everyone who says so is a liar.”
“I shall dispel the issue.”
“Also give him the key to free the prisoners.”
“As you wish.”
“Okay, cool, cool. Thanks, bye now.”
~~~
“Damn, Zhongli, will you be my best man at my future wedding?” Childe said in awe after Zhongli tells his story.
“Remove seafood in the menu.”
“Eh, we can talk about it.”
“Will you also do the honours of being an uncle to our future children?” Lumine asked.
“I can babysit for a high pay rate.”
“Fair enough, we’re planning 20 or more children.”
Aether fainted, the thought of dealing with that amount of mini Childes far too overwhelming and scary.
Please send him help...
