crack au where anakin just... never learnt how to read aurebesh. he managed to avoid the lessons with obi-wan and all of his plans and notes through the clone wars were in either huttese or mando'a for the clones. so, he rocks up as vader, trying to communicate plans with admiral Piett and general veers and piett is like "lord vader, sir, i have transferred you plans, etc." and vader is like "oh, thank you." but never reads it. veers transfers him troop casualties and he never reads it. piett sends him a card to sign and he doesn't. this continues on and veers and piett just think that their commander is a rude piece of shit. then, the on-site bartender is like "oh, no, he is rude but that isn't why he's blowing you off. lord vader can't read or write basic"

Sukuna's pet names would be something like flower or petal or little bird or anything that emphasises just how small and delicate you are compared to him.

But nicknames aside, I think him calling you by your name carries more weight than anything. He did it in the manga to acknowledge the strength of someone but it's different with you because when he calls your name his voice is softer, definitely possessive but also carries a hint of affection.

So I dunno if anyone’s noticed this or not, but I’ve been trying to make my own designs for the voices lately, and I haven’t been very satisfied with my results so far. More specifically, I’ve been working on (aka struggling with) my Smitten design. I asked myself, “what could be wrong with him? Why doesn’t it feel right?”

And you know what I answered myself with?

“Ma’am, that’s a literal dog.”

(I tried my best at making a ref sheet, but I haven’t really ever made a real one before, sorry it’s pretty chaotic, sorry. Not that it’s really needed-this whole process is meant to help me edit the design, anyways)

So apparently, I somehow made Smitten into a little creature equivalent of a little lap dog or smth. And that’s the problem.

It’s not that I think he looks bad. I actually think he looks super cute like this, I’m happy with that part. And I still think it fits his character pretty well, too-he’s a loyal, silly, fluffy, loud little guy who wants nothing more than to spend every waking moment with the person he loves.

So at this point, you’re probably wondering, “Coyote, just what IS your problem with him then?”

Well, I don’t think he’s exactly husband material. And that’s kind of an essential factor to a Smitten design! (it is to me, ok?) Like, I think people would start to get very concerned with me if I called him my fictional husband and I pulled out a picture of a bird dog. And it’s not like a cool usage of a quadrupedal design, like I’ve seen some people use, he’s just, like, a modded Shih Tzu. I don’t think me (or most people) are comfortable with the idea of trying to romance a modded Shih Tzu.

But at the end of the day, I’m kinda conflicted about the whole thing, because I lowkey love his design? It’s really funny and cute, I can picture all sorts of humorous drawing ideas with him, and I can so easily see it fitting the bill character wise. But I just need him to be attractive.

I think at the end of the day, I have to edit his design so as to allow him to stand upright. Just enough for him to feel closer to human than dog. Should I do that?

if anyone has any ideas, I’m always open to art advice! And this goes for anything here, whether for specific feedback about the design, or just drawing tips in general. Or just talk to me. I like talking. Please talk to me about this. I crave interaction. Please.

Here! I can info dump on my headcanons regarding the ages and timelines of the Mafia Family.

As a fair warning, I am of the beleife that age gaps don't really matter once you're above the age of 21. You've both been adulting for several years, you can make your own decisions ya know?

Contractee - 21 years old, Joined the mafia as a 17 year old, lost his blood family when they got caught in some shady buisness- the mafia not only took revenge for him but took him in when he had no where else to go. More of a lackey than any kind of leader, but he gets things DONE with his hyperactivity. It's hard to find someone more genuine than him, heart on his sleeve, and well guarded by his peers.

Consigliere - 26 years old, the son of the previous mafia boss' Consigliere. Takes his job as advisor to the Boss' lineage with pride. Uses his riches and high role in society as a front for the Mafia. Has been friends with Caporegime since childhood, tries to keep the man loose and not so uptight. Has the best ideas and plans.

Caporegime - 27 years old, born to a family of lower ranking Mafia members. Worked his way to the top with blood sweat and tears, learned the hard way that this life isn't one to trust easily in. Has been friends with Consigliere since childhood, values his connection to him above everything. The Leader of the little 4 person squad serving as the Boss' right hand men. (Also, his long time serving the Mafia has given him permanent damage to his hearing, he needs his hearing aids.)

Soldier - 30 years old, a goon the Boss picked up out of an underground fighting scene and offered to pay handsomely in exchange for the safety of his blood family (2 siblings he has back home). Has no education to speak of and has the heaviest accent of the group, though hes only been with the Mafia for a little longer than Tee, the brute is so strong he rival's the Boss's abilities, leading him to a top ranking position.

Mafioso (The Boss) - 40 years old and the only surviving Heir of the Boss before him. Killed his own siblings in a feud for power, has been leading this operation since he was 18. Collects debts, and ensures the crime of his town is measured. Honestly solves more issues than the police.

Chance (The Boss' Mister) - 38 years old. The owner of the biggest casino in the town. Became a client of the Mafia, where they would handle the Casino's debtors in exchange for complete access to the Casino, as many criminals and back alley deals tend to congregate around the Casino, the deal was struck after Chance had recovered from a particularly nasty betrayel at the hands of his ex-situationship. This deal became sortof obsolete when Chance and Mafioso got married.

I think I’m coming to a point in my art I’m not gonna be craving as much improvement constantly. I’ll always want it and strive for technical excellence I think, but after these batch of master studies is done I’ll be focusing me efforts in other ways like, how to make money to stay alive and also putting energy into longer term projects.

I think really for the first time in my life I feel my art is consistently, technically good. It makes me really really emotional to beee honest. It took over half of my life thus far to get here, 16 years of constantly working towards it and overcoming obstacles and drawing nearly every day. I think a lot of people could obtain my skills faster if they worked towards it in more efficient ways but also I got bad body and brain disease and have had it a bit tough so I’m giving myself a break.

I love art, I love my art, it feels really good to say that.

Something I feel like is not being talked enough about regarding N25's WL2 is Mizuki's current situation in the alt timeline. Sure, she appears happy—she gets to do what she loves without fear of judgement and be the person she wants to be—but she is painfully alone.

Mizuki pushes people away and walls herself off emotionally from her peers, literally saying that getting involved like that is too much of a hassle. The only person we see her interact with that she has any kind of implication of closeness or vulnerability is Rui, and even then he's kept away by the distance Mizuki is constantly maintaining between her and the rest of the world. The people she becomes close friends with in the canon timeline (those people being the rest of Nightcord) are nothing more than strangers passing through her life that she speaks to once or twice and then never again.

From what I've learned about the transfem experience, this is a really unfortunate reality for a lot of people. There's a stereotype that a lot of trans women have hobbies that largely keep them indoors and away from people, and this is because these hobbies and lines of work are safe for them. They're forcibly driven out from the public eye for daring to exist outside of what has been deemed "acceptable" and going out can put them in danger of harassment and assault.

With regard to Mizuki's character and her story, she's already gone out of her way to avoid going to school and being around her peers in the canon timeline. In the WL2 timeline this is pushed to its natural conclusion if she hadn't found support through N25: she dropped out of school entirely. While she still does go outside, it's never for socializing and mostly for work. Her design studio is her bedroom and she never collaborates with others. Once again, art imitates life; Mizuki's story reflects real life experiences that trans women like her have to live through.
