At first, all Crispin did was stare dumbfounded at the towering Drayton. Time's up… now what did he mean by that? It wouldn't be anything cooking or assignment related; if anything Crispin was best at time management. Did he sign up for something he forgot about? Huh? Hazel eyes continued blinking; despite being in the unknown, those eyes of Drayton's didn't shine positively. And that was when his emotions started to sink in.

"Drayton? You can't say somethin' so vague like that." They were trying to assert themself, putting their foot down in the dragon trainer's presence. That, however, wasn't working out for the young chef. Crispin's hazel eyes wavered and dilated; their throat gulped. It wasn't the greatest display, and despite Crispin's complicated feelings regarding Drayton, it didn't change the fact that they were the underclassman. Stupid Blueberry Academy grade level system!!

"Are we playing a game? Are you pulling a prank? 'Cause I assure you this isn't fun nor funny." Maybe he was stressing over nothing, but if it's Drayton involved, the possibilities really could be endless.

Shino stared long and hard at the tarot card in her paw, reading over the name and staring daggers into the depicted imagery of what The Hanged Man truly means. She wasn't much of an expert when it came to tarot, otherwise she was sure she could figure this out on her own. Maybe that was something she'd have to take up in the coming year! For now, she had her priorities. One of them, presenting her favorable persona, one that could be quite the listener. Listen she may, as she truly did wish to learn what the card had to say.

"The Hanged Man and I have many similarities, okaaay," Shino snickered, lowering the card from her gaze. "We've had out hoops and hurdles, but we always make it through. If he manages to find his way of changing his narrative, that should say something about myself." The card, in a way, acted like a coin. One side told the poor man's story to riches, while the other remained picture-less. Her own imagery has yet to spawn on the card, as she has not walked the right path. Not yet.

Kabuki dancing needed many skills, ones found through trial and error. Shino knew she'd mastered most of sways and steps, but what did that mean on the emotional plane? "Learning and growing are vital to my way of life. Perhaps this new year will give me the incentive to figure out what that's meant to mean, to truly mean." Her coyness simmered away for a split second; a genuine smile formed on her face.

"I thank you for your time and your wisdom. You have a fantastical new year yourself, okaaay."

and then you check your bank account and it’s an easy $200 / $500 / $800 ++ added by him. or when he’s sending gifts to your apartment, it’s gonna be one of them reaaaaal expensive ones. probably ones you eyed before or had mention you liked very briefly, but didn’t get it because of the price.

definitely also the type to try and accommodate or match his texting style to yours as the months go by. kinda to match your energy. perhaps fails horribly at it, but it’s cute to see him try.
