With a wide grin, Mirio loops his arms around Tamaki’s shoulders. “Do you have a Valentine yet, Tamaki?”

His heart skipped a beat when Mirio got this close to him. Even after all these years, Tamaki couldn't get used to this kind of sudden affection his friend would show. He'd keep his head bowed, shaking uncontrollably in the other's arms. “ How could I? ” he stuttered. The only people that could stand being around him were Mirio and Hado. Not that Mirio was aware of that. He'd always stay oblivious to what others thought of him. He'd only look at his own, optimistic side of things, with that beaming smile of his, never giving a sod about the rest of the world.

Tamaki didn't know how to feel about this question. Flattered, that his closest friend thought that someone could actually like him, or depressed because it was far from reality. Neither, was the answer. Because this remained the least of his worries. Because he already had someone important in his life. Someone to shine brighter than the sun, bring warmth to his own heart, and a smile on his face. “ Sounds terrifying talking to anyone else other than you and Hado, ” he explained, even if it was only part of the truth.

The fight didn't last longer than a few minutes. The goal was to protect the trainees and stop that giant beast. Hero after hero was going down in front of Tamaki's eyes as he'd think those were his final moments. He knew the risks. He knew the dangers when taking part in the operation next to Fatgum's side. Next to Mirio's side. Coming close to death, the last thing to come to his mind was HIM. He wouldn't be able to see him again, back in action. He wouldn't be able to see him SHINE once more. This was his last regret, before he heard a crushing sound and everything blacked out. 

He wasn't dead. There was a constant beeping sound in his ears proving he was still alive. Even opening his eyes seemed like a difficult task. His head felt like being in a fog. It was hard to think or concentrate. His vision was blurry and he couldn't tell yet, but his hearing was muffled too. He wasn't feeling much pain. His whole body felt numb. The many medications they had given to him were working so Tamaki wouldn't feel anything from when he broke his left arm or when his right leg was nearly crushed. Or from when he hit his head. Thanks to Recovery Girl's healing, he was still alive. He was still alive but at this moment, everything felt like a dream. As if he wasn't entirely inside his body. 

Slowly turning his head, even if he needed a few seconds to adjust his eyes to the light and the figure right next to him, he knew HE was there. MIRIO. Mirio was safe and sitting by his bed's side. His lips formed a small crooked smile, tired eyes staring back at his childhood friend. He was sound and safe, sitting right next to him. The place or the time didn't matter, because HE was alive. “ Mirio... ” he whispered. “ You are alright... ” Everything that had happened wasn't clear to his head still. For good or bad.

I thought nothing could be cuter than baby Deku...that is, until chapter 182 was released 😭 😭

*Spoiler* Do you know how important this is? Mirio and Midoriya felt so down for not being able to save Eri. Aizawa saw this too. And even tough he is strict and harsh he still cares for his student. These little few sentences were all what Deku needed to hear. Even if he couldn't save her in that moment it gave him hope to try harder and now even if it is a little bit that he was able to make her feel something else than despair.
