Ladybug and Cat Noir pursued the supervillain, which was escaping from the heroes and while on it, she used her wand to shot magic against the heroes, but they dodged it. During the run, the villain looked at the next crossroad to see a bus cross the road turning towards their direction and the villain used her wand to hit it with magic, turning it into a large carriage with four horses and a few passengers, which had been sitting in the bus before.

„Miss Baba Yaga, stop putting everyone back in the old times!“ Shouted Cat Noir making Ladybug confused.

„Who is that?“ Questioned Ladybug making Cat Noir shrug his shoulders.

„Wasn‘t she a witch or something?“

„Where should I know that,“ Answered Ladybug, then jumped above the carriage along with her partner to pursue the supervillain. „Has Rena Rouge been able to contact Fire King and Lady Frost?“

„I think she had,“ Answered Cat Noir, then pointed forward to see the villain aim all the light poles to turn them into lanterns with candle lights. „I almost got the witch,“ Commented Cat Noir making a cat jump to catch her, but she dodges him and uses her wand on Cat Noir‘s staff to turn it into a wooden staff. „Oh great!“ Complained Cat Noir getting up, then the villain grabbed his stuff trying to take it off Cat Noir.

„I‘m Nostalgica and you shouldn‘t be out here at this time you ruffians,“ Commented the woman, then took the staff away and slapped with its end on Cat Noir‘s butt making him yowl, followed by Ladybug stop in shock.

„Me-ouch!“

The villain dropped the stick and ran off, then Cat Noir picked up his staff while scratching his butt.

„That Lady is mean,“ Complained Cat Noir, then Ladybug placed her hand on his shoulder.

„Don‘t worry, we will catch her,“ Commented Ladybug, then ran further along with the cat-themed superhero reaching the next crossroad and the two stopped to see the woman had turned left and turned back in the next crossroad. „Want to split or prefer to go together?“

„For now on I‘m good in going with you,“ Answered Cat Noir a little anxious making Ladybug chuckle.

„Don‘t worry, it won‘t happen again,“ Promised Ladybug.

„I know it will again. I can feel it tingling throughout my entire nervous system,“

„I didn‘t expect you to have a neurotic side,“ Commented Ladybug departing along with her partner.

„This reminded me of a movie about slaves I watched a while ago,“ Commented Cat Noir. „The pain really is incredible,“

„I believe you…...hey in case you have to protect me, you…..uh…..,“

„Will have to protect you from that lady?“ Questioned Cat Noir, then nodded at the girl. „Don‘t worry, I‘ll do it anyway,“

„When Fire King and Co. arrive you won‘t be alone there,“ Stated Ladybug, then spotted a woman and a teenager watching the villain disappear in the next corner, which was noticed by the superhero duo. Ladybug whistled to call the family‘s attention and stopped along with Cat Noir.

„Good evening ladies and gentlemen. I have to ask you two to hide inside the house until we take care of this situation,“ Warned Ladybug, then the man grabbed Ladybug on her arms, surprising her.

„Ladybug, this akuma villain there is my mother,“ Commented the woman. „The retirement home called and explained, what was up,“

„Why was she akumatized?“ Questioned the superheroine.

„They don‘t know it. They just saw something was wrong when she already was akumatized and turned several devices into something else,“

„Maman, last time I was with grandma at the home, she complained about how I was using my tablet to do my homework,“ Commented the redheaded boy, which Ladybug had recognized as Nathaniel Kurtzberg. „I didn‘t know she would get akumatized today,“

„Don‘t worry Mrs. And Mr. Kurtzberg. We‘ve got this, we will bring her back safe and sound,“ Stated Ladybug. „I promise,“ Ladybug added looking at Nathaniel, which nodded with shiny eyes and Cat Noir moved his head signaling Ladybug to move further.

During the run, Cat Noir looked back at the Jewish family and back at the superheroine.

„What is Nathaniel‘s grandma doing in a retirement home?“ Questioned the blonde.

„I think because of health problems she was moved into the retirement home. I‘m not sure of her age though,“

„Good question,“ Commented Cat Noir, then they spotted at the next corner a horse running out of control against the two superheroes and Ladybug used her yo-yo to grab Cat Noir and swung up at the roof to dodge the horse.

„That was a wild ride,“ Commented Cat Noir making Ladybug nod.

„More like a close call,“ Corrected Ladybug, then she heard one honking noise and moved further to the end of the roof to look around. „Cat, you‘ve gotta see this,“ Ladybug ordered, therefore the blonde ran to the girl to look above the roof and spotted an ice-made locomotive coming towards their way. Ladybug squinted her eyes and smiled as she recognized Lady Frost and Fire King in it.

„Lady Frost is starting to grow out of her miraculous. That‘s amazing,“ Ladybug said, then Cat Noir jumped down and waited for the ride. Ladybug shook her head as the blonde held up his thumb, seeing the train slow down, after that the blue-haired heroine jumped down as well to see the locomotive stop in front of the black-dressed hero.

„Lady Frost, did you build that all on your own?“ Questioned Cat Noir seeing the heroine nod. „That‘s amazing,“ Complimented Cat Noir making Fire King frown.

„I already told her that first,“ Commented Fire King annoyed making the two heroines giggle.

„Don‘t worry, compliments are meant to be platonic,“ Joked Ladybug, then Fire King moved to the exit to look at the experienced duo.

„Are you coming with us or….?“ Questioned the redhead watching Cat Noir hop at the nose of the locomotive, then got up on the head and Ladybug climbed on the stairs beside the vehicle holding herself.

„Alright, Lady Frost move on,“ Commanded Ladybug knocking on the ice-cold column of the locomotive and Lady Frost drove it slow to make a curve around to get at the bridge, then she accelerated the vehicle to cross fast the bridge getting closer to Nostalgica, which was passing by the Notre Dame again, then shrieked as she saw the train head towards her.

„Your silly locomotive can‘t stop me,“ Commented Nostalgica throwing a beam of magic against the train, then it got deflected and hit another light pole, which turned it into candlelight.

„Impossible!“ Hissed the woman, then disappeared right on the road beside the Notre Dame and Lady Frost flinched her teeth while turning the wheel of her train making it pass over the sidewalk and crash with the front into a building, then scratch the side of it on the house.

„Okay the sudden steering on the curves like this isn‘t meant for this locomotive,“ Commented Lady Frost looking at Fire King, which was scratching his head after hitting his head.

„Is everyone okay?“ Asked Ladybug getting up from the inside of the locomotive, then earned a nod from the duo. „I‘ll be going from up top.“ Mentioned Ladybug getting on top of the roof and Cat Noir got into the locomotive.

„Thank god, I jumped down before the impact,“ Commented Cat Noir. „I‘m surprised, it didn‘t break,“

„Me too, but what surprised me most was that it deflected the attack of the villain,“ Pointed Lady Frost out, then watched Fire King try to reverse the train back.

„That‘s enough King, now move forward,“ Ordered the blonde, moving the steering wheel while Fire King moved the lever back to forward and the locomotive began to drive further again.

„Thanks, will you continue to navigate me behind Nostalgica?“ Asked the silver-blonde heroine earning a nod from the friend, which focused on the villain, which turned around at the next crossroad.

„Slow down!“ Ordered Fire King.

„Make the curve from the outside,“ Ordered Cat Noir.

„What do you mean?“ Asked Lady Frost, then Fire King placed his hands on the wheel to pull it aside, afterward guided it smoothly into the next road and gave it back to Lady Frost.

„That was what I meant,“ Stated Cat Noir making the girl nod.

„Thanks, Fire King,“

„At your service,“ Responded Fire King, then shrieked along with Gerda's alter ego as they saw the villain turn left and the front was a wall, which blocked the road from the Seine. Lady Frost pulled the brake, followed by Fire King pull a full spin with the steering wheel making the front of the vehicle crash at the last building before the road and stop vertically aside the road.

Cat Noir looked behind the vehicle, then back at the fire-themed superhero.

„We‘re lucky the rear didn‘t get stuck there,“ Mentioned Cat Noir, then Lady Frost moved the train up at the road again, then went further and along with the redhead, she looked for the location of the supervillain.

„She‘s there on the Pont de Saint Louis!“ Warned Cat Noir making Lady Frost nod, which slowly steered the vehicle near the building, then across the next short curve both shrieked to encounter a few parked cars on the side of the road and a few empty horse carriages, then she closed her eyes, therefore the locomotive pushed the vehicles in front of it with its cowcatcher aside.

„Move back to the middle. This is slowing us down,“ Commented Fire King spinning the steering wheel, along with Lady Frost following the free road in the middle to the large crossroad, which was linked to the bridge leading to the next island.

„Good,“ Responded Lady Frost, then at the next buildings they saw Nostalgica aim at various chairs outside of a bistro, which turned into Mahagoni-made chairs with dark-red textile pillows. People began to run in various directions, few getting aimed by the supervillain, which changed their clothing into retro ones.

„I don‘t think we‘re going make it through the crowd,“ Mentioned Fire King, then Lady Frost pulled the honk several times warning the crowd, which got more panic and disastrous crashed against each other making it harder for the superheroes, then Lady Frost pulled the brake again to slow it down.

„Don‘t worry guys, Ladybug is still following the villain from above. Stay here, I will try to escort the people away from the road,“ Mentioned Cat Noir leaving the train to run towards the crowd.

„Come you can now slowly move on, Cat Noir is leading the crowd back into the place,“ Mentioned Fire King making the superheroine nod, which pushed the lever to drive it over the bridge closer to Cat Noir, which jumped from the sidewalk up at the nose of the locomotive.

„Oh no out there are more people sitting outside of coffee shops,“ Commented Lady Frost, then Fire King began to use the honk to warn the citizens. Cat Noir covered his ears from the noise, then observed at the street people sitting on the outside of the coffee and Cat Noir yelled to call their attention.

„Get into the shop!“ Shouted Cat Noir. „Get in! Get in!“

Fire King continued to use the honk, then took his hand off as the people had paid attention to them and ran back into the place to hide.

„Thank goodness,“ Stated Lady Frost, then watched the villain turn at the next corner and Lady Frost turned the steering wheel, crashing the front on the next building, then slowly returned to the road.

„I hate it, when she does that,“ Complained Fire King grabbing himself on the dashboard of the cabin.

„I‘m trying my best, King,“

„I meant Nostalgica,“ Pointed Fire King out. „I‘m sure she‘s trying to screw us up,“ Guessed Fire King, then pointed with his hand to see the villain take another curve into a slinker alley, making him groan. „See?“

„Take the other road, I will run behind her,“ Ordered Cat Noir feeling the train brake again, then Cat Noir got down of the locomotive to pursue the supervillain throughout the alley. He shoves his wooden stick into the hold behind his back and ran like a cat behind the villain, getting faster than her, then glanced up quickly at the roof to see Ladybug follow them as well.

A loud noise appeared above the sky and four fighter jets turned down heading towards Cat Noir and Nostalgica. Cat Noir widened his eyes in shock and jumped aside watching them pass, following the supervillain, which began to be attacked by its weapons.

„Oh my gosh!“ Cried Cat Noir surprised at the deed of the military.

Ladybug got down to Cat Noir to see him shocked, then placed her hand on his shoulder and whispered into his ear.

„That‘s just Rena Rouge,“ Stated Ladybug making Cat Noir smile. "They're not even in the size of the real ones,"

„Wow, it‘s pretty realistic,“ Commented the blonde hero, making Ladybug smile and the superheroine returned to follow the heroine. Cat Noir looked back to see the superheroes in the ice-train come along and he jumped into it.

„Good news, Rena Rouge is following her with an illusion. Maybe we will get lucky this time,“

„Hopefully,“ Answered Fire King, then Lady Frost drove the train further.

Moments later Nostalgica ran towards the Place des Vosges then jumped at the fence, crashing against it and fell down on her back and watched the jets fly towards her, then she moved her wand up watching one of the engines of the jets pass through her hand, causing a blinking at the illusion making the woman widen her eyes noticing it wasn‘t real.

„Those are illusions!“ Shouted the woman getting up, then look around for the superheroes and only saw Ladybug coming from the rooftops. The woman shot a magic beam against the superhero, which dodged it by swinging beside it with her yo-yo and tried to hit the woman with her feet but missed.

„Nostalgica, listen to me. Your daughter and your grandson are worried sick about you. Please don‘t let Hawk Moth take over you,“ Ladybug started, then the villain threw a magic beam against the superheroine, which jumped aside to miss the hit. „I‘m serious, I saw your grandson Nathaniel before. He was nearly about to cry. Don‘t let Hawk Moth use you against everyone here. None of us has anything against you,“

„I‘m at that age, where I wish I could do everything again like I used to. That time is over now and anything from this new generation is terrible. The new TV screens are too large and causes intense pain in my eyes, the technical progress is taking jobs and other tasks away from good people, that needed the job to make it through their life. How many times have I seen at the highway machines replacing workers to collect money to pass? The new shopping centers as well. Certain train stations you have now to buy tickets on the machines as well and how do you know exactly, that you‘re doing it right? It‘s the third time already I get fined for getting it wrong,“

„You‘re right, some really are sad to exist. But you see, life now isn‘t as easy as it was before. People now have less time for their friends and family because of work. More adults and immigrants live here in Paris and fill in stores, which should be left quickly for the next group. Some jobs were also facilitated for certain groups like car builders. The factory now has machines, that make the hardest parts while the builders then focus on the minor, but important parts. Or traffic lights are also a good invention. This is probably the best invention at this moment, cause many people would be going crazy during traffic jams if they had to follow the street guides,“

„This may be true, but there are far more bad things behind this technological progress. Students have it easier to learn and cheat on it. Others have it difficult to learn with it and get distracted. They even have modern calculators, while we back in our time we had a slide rule or a wooden one and couldn‘t even use it during exams while here you can. No wonder half of the kids from today barely know any mental arithmetic,“

„Nostalgica!“ Called Cat Noir appearing. „Remember the good ol‘ locomotives from the past?“ Questioned Cat Noir pointing at the ice-made locomotive, which was coming to their direction and Fire King climbed out of the window followed by the train stopping in the middle of the road in front of the entrance of the park.

Nostalgica shot a beam of magic against Ladybug, then Cat Noir jumped against her to avoid her getting hit and Fire King threw a small fireball at the villain, then ran towards her and made a roll on the ground as the villain threw a magic beam at the boy and he grabbed her on both arms trying to hold her tight preventing to use the wand.

„Quick! Take her wand!“ Ordered Fire King watching Ladybug throw her yo-yo catching the arm of the villain instead which smirked and took the distraction to head bump into Fire King‘s nose, making him whine.

„En serio?!“ Complained Fire King, then Ladybug pulled the boy away with her yo-yo narrowly having let the villain hit the boy with a magic spell.

„We need a plan,“ Stated Ladybug watching Fire King ran against Nostalgica to try to take her wand away, while she packed him on his chest to prevent him to take the wand.

„You‘re a badly educated boy. You deserve to be punished,“ Commented the villain and under her breast a red light shined at the boy and gave him an electronic shock, making him tingle and fall down on his back.

„Whoa, what was that?“ Asked Cat Noir watching Ladybug fish Fire King away from the situation, then helped him up.

„You‘re okay?“ Asked Ladybug watching Fire King shake his head from the shock, then ran with his hands on fire against the supervillain. „Fire King!“ Shouted Ladybug, then Lady Frost threw an ice blast against his friend causing him to slip and crash against the villain, which threw a magic beam against the road hitting a police car, that had just passed by and now it remained a horse along with a carriage and Roger Raincomprix sitting on it.

„Hey!“ Shouted Roger getting down of the carriage to enter the park, then looked up at the vehicle of Lady Frost. „Where are the papers of this vehicle?“ Asked the police stern.

„Uh I don‘t know,“ Responded Lady Frost looking at the heroes.

„Lady Frost! Why did you hit me?!“ Asked Fire King loud, then tripped over the ice followed by Nostalgica, which hit him on his stomach and got up, followed by stomping on him.

„You can‘t stop me,“ Commented the supervillain, then Roger noticed the supervillain and aimed his gun at her.

„Put your hands up, Nostalgica. You‘re standing on my area,“ Demanded the policeman, then Nostalgica used her magic to turn Roger‘s gun into a refilling gun, making him groan. Roger picked his walkie-talkie to call reinforces, but it was turned into a brick-like cellphone making Roger drop his chin.

„You gotta be kidding me,“ Complained Roger.

Nostalgica pointed her wand at Ladybug again, then Fire King up again, then embraced the woman from behind holding her right.

„Quick! Remove the wand!“ Ordered Fire King trying to hold her, then he was kicked between his legs and he stepped back holding his hands down. „No!“ Groaned the boy, then created with his one hand fire and defended himself from getting hit by the wand‘s magic. Fire King moved his hands to push her, but she stepped aside and Fire King moved further stepping over the villain‘s foot she had put out for him. Fire King growled, then shoot a fireball at her foot making her jump in the air, losing the wand.

Fire King smiled, then jumped up to grab the wand and showed it to the group.

„Break it!“ Ordered Cat Noir watching the villain turn around to attack Fire King, but she got pulled away by Ladybug and Fire King before using his fire, he fell down on his knees crying in pain, followed by his lava markings on his suit blink.

„What‘s going on?“ Asked Lady Frost standing on the outside of the locomotive. Ladybug observed the fire-themed superhero shorty, then shrieked as Nostalgica freed herself from the yo-yo and ran towards the Spaniard.

Cat Noir used his wooden staff to push the woman down, then picked Fire King up and ran away from the danger zone, afterward looked back to see Lady Frost make under Nostalgica‘s feet an ice ground to make her slip.

Cat Noir disappeared with Fire King behind a car, then Fire King destransformed himself back into his civilian self, then Cat Noir recognized Rollan‘s face.

„This is the third time I felt like this,“ Commented Rollan scratching his head, while Coal walked up at the owner. „Something is wrong with us, but I don‘t know what,“

„You had this issue more times before?“ Questioned Cat Noir curious. „Why are you still using this miraculous? Can‘t you talk with Ladybug about its issues?“

„I don‘t want to leave the team, just because I can‘t use my miraculous anymore,“

„You can tell her how you feel about it. She may borrow you another miraculous. Sure you or Lady Frost weren‘t planned to be in our team, but at the moment it is good, that we have more heroes working with us,“

„You think this will work?“ Questioned Rollan getting up, then heard Lady Frost cry as she flew against the locomotive. „Lady Frost!“

„Don‘t worry, Rena Rouge is around. She‘s gonna help us as well,“ Commented Cat Noir. „Just stay here and wait until we‘re done, okay?“ Asked Cat Noir placing his hand on Rollan‘s shoulder, which sighed and nodded. „And don‘t worry, your secret is save with me,“ Cat Noir said returning to the match, then Rollan glimpsed over a car to see Lady Frost create under Ladybug and Nostalgica‘s feet a small ice-path, then Ladybug pushed the villain against the locomotive and she lost her wand.

„Cataclysm!“ Shouted Cat Noir jumping against the wand to break it, then the akuma flew out of it.

„Good job!“ Complimented Ladybug heading to the akuma to catch it.

„Watch it!“ Shouted Lady Frost creating an ice wall to deflect the ray attacks coming from the chest of the woman.

„She must have an amok as well,“ Commented Cat Noir, then Ladybug threw up her yo-yo to reveal her mysterious object which was a car tire.

„A car tire?“ Asked Ladybug, then Cat Noir quickly pulled the tire over Ladybug to protect her from getting hit by one of Nostalgica‘s electronic shocks. „Oh!“ Ladybug commented, then she grabbed the tire and held it in front of her to deflect the next attacks.

„Lady Frost, Rena Rouge, take her from the sides,“ Warned Ladybug, then Lady Frost threw one ice-ray against the supervillain, which deflected it with her ray and someone whistled and it was Ladybug holding her tire on the ground and Cat Noir kicked with his feet on the tire to put her down.

„Well done,“ Complimented Rena Rouge running along with Lady Frost to the villain, then Lady Frost held her hand down against the woman while the fox-themed heroine pulled out of the woman‘s neck the necklace, then dropped it on the ground to break it with her feet to reveal the blue feather.

„Fist Bump, lady,“ Asked Rena Rouge holding out her fist at Lady Frost, which smiled, then both looked at Ladybug restoring everything back to normal, followed by the villain transforming back into an elderly lady, which was confused and startled.

„Mrs. Kurtzberg, are you alright?“ Asked Ladybug getting down to the woman to take a look at her.

„Where am I? What happened?“ Questioned the senior holding her hand in front of her.

„We will take you back home. Your daughter and your grandson were worried sick about you, as they were informed about your akumatization,“

„I was akumatized?“ Asked the woman in shock, then Ladybug moved her hands to calm the woman down.

„Everything went back to normal. You‘re now here with us,“ Said Ladybug, then several citizens appeared along with one journalist to witness the finished action by the superheroes.

„No interviews with me. This fox‘s gotta go home,“ Warned Rena Rouge getting out of the place leaving Cat Noir back with Ladybug and Lady Frost.

„Did you leave this locomotive here?“ Asked one citizen looking at Lady Frost while pointing at the train.

„Sure,“ Responded Lady Frost, then he took out his camera. „Can I take a picture of you and me in front of this? I want to send it to my grandfather. He loves locomotives,“

„Okay, why not?“ Asked Lady Frost taking the spot in front of the train along with the teenage boy.

Around Ladybug and the senior appeared the crowd and the journalist to interview here.

„Ladybug, Ladybug tell us! Was it really hard to defeat this villain or just like the same?“ Questioned the journalist.

„Sorry, I have to carry this woman back to her family,“ Stated Ladybug, then the woman looked at the journalist, which had eye contact with her.

„Madame, what have you done during the time as a villain? Could you remember anything? What exactly made you do that?“ Asked the journalist scaring the woman, which tried to get up, but fell down on her knees.

Ladybug got sad, then helped the woman up slowly and moved her further while the other citizens kept bothering.

„Come on, we have to go home,“ Warned Ladybug walking the woman along the Parc des Vosges to the end, where Roger Raincomprix stood checking his vehicle and saw the superheroine carrying the woman.

„Ladybug, shall I take her home?“ Questioned the agent watching the woman, which seemed to have a white face. „Is she alright?“

„I‘m not sure,“ Responded Ladybug looking at the face of the woman, which seemed to have no reaction and the senior stopped placing her hand in front of her chest, then dropped down on the ground shrieking Ladybug.

„Mrs. Kurtzberg!“ Shouted Ladybug, then Roger got down on his knees grabbing his walkie-talkie to make a call.

„Lieutnant Roger Raincomprix. I need immediately an ambulance. Senior around the 80s got unconscious…...I can‘t feel a heartbeat at the moment…….first aid will be performed…..roger, that,“ Ended Roger, then moved the woman's head uo, while Ladybug stood there in shock looking at the man about to perform CPR. „Just don‘t stand there, help!“ Shouted the policeman making Ladybug gulp, then Lady Frost appeared along with Cat Noir, which saw what was up. The viewers appeared as well, then the journalist ordered the cameraman to turn the camera off and observed the police at the work.

„I need someone to close the space around us and someone to do the chest compression,“ Ordered Roger, then Cat Noir got down to help him and Ladybug remained in shock, while Lady Frost looked around to see, what the agent meant and moved at the road to stay aside, followed by two teens to form a barrier to prevent people to drive into their line.

Rollan got out slowly from the car to see, what was going on and got closer to the scene. One of the citizens waved at Rollan, then ran towards the boy.

„Are you able to perform CPR?“ Questioned the man making Rollan shake his head. „Please go home or block the road along with the others,“

„Okay,“ Commented Rollan racing at the end of the road to stay three persons away from Lady Frost, which was looking at Ladybug, which had frozen at looking the two males trying to bring the senior back to life.

Kai and Alfida stood together in front of a library and looked at the description at the entrance about the opening time.

„Okay, this must be it,“ Alfida commented. „Shall we go in?“

Kai nodded, then opened the door to enter along with the girl into the library and looked around the place. Alfida showed Kai the reception, where a woman sat using the computer and the two went to encounter the woman.

„For your grandfather or for you two?“ Asked the librarian.

„Us two,“ Responded Kai.

„I‘m 15 and she‘s 16,“ Responded Kai.

„17,“ Corrected Alfida making Kai grin embarrassed.

„Okay and does it have to be a non-stop flight or a connecting flight?“

„If possible, the cheapest one,“ Added Alfida. „We gotta pay this on our own, eventually,“

„Alright I‘m looking for you two on Brian Airlines, a low-cost airline if you‘re okay with it,“ Stated the woman making the teens nod.

„There are no available low-cost flights to Paris. You would need to choose another destination and see from there, how you could go there to Paris,“ Responded the librarian.

„Well what more can you want, we‘re at the moment out of money and need to go there to get my sister back,“ Explained Kai earning a nod from the librarian.

„How did you get here, if I may ask?“

„It‘s a long story. We‘re really thankful for your help ma‘am,“

„We really are and I don‘t want to be rude or anything, but what are the prices of the available destinations? Are there close to Paris a bit?“ Asked the raven-haired girl the woman, which used her mouse to open the offers.

„60 Norwegian Kroner is if you fly to Vienna, in Austria. Wroclaw in Poland costs 50 Kroner and to Basle in Switzerland 60,“ Mentioned the librarian looking at the two teens.

„For two persons it‘s actually cheap,“ Kai mentioned glad making his crush nod.

„Oh, that‘s for each person,“ Corrected the librarian. „Each of you pays 50 or 60 bucks. So 100 or 120,“

„Oh…..okay, so looks like we have to stay here for a while and find a way to make some money for our flight,“ Kai mentioned making Alfida nod.

„Yeah, we better start to look for a way to obtain money. Maybe Hendrick has an idea and helps us out,“ Commented Alfida.

„I know I can make money with art, I just need to get myself a painting easel and colors. The issue is I will need money for that as well,“

„I‘m thinking about going to Orm and Hendrick and tell what‘s up. Hendrick mostly, he knows this world at the moment better than us,“

„I think you‘ve got a point,“ Kai agreed, then Alfida thanked the woman and walked along with the boy to the outside of the library. „Hey, should we head back to the troll kingdom and see, if we can unfreeze the others?“ Questioned Kai making Alfida shrug her shoulders.

„We could go and try, yeah,“ Replied the raven-haired. „Let‘s get out of here,“ Called Alfida walking the street up with the short boy.

As the school had ended Rollan was alone in the locker room looking at a small book he has as his agenda to see the homework he had noticed down for the week and stored the books we wouldn‘t need for now inside his locker.

„Ay, it‘s been a long time since I‘ve ever done homework. That looks like a lot than usual,“ Spoke Rollan, then stored his agenda inside his bag and got up to close his locker, then noticed his belt he encountered a few days ago. Rollan took the belt out to look at his initial letter and unlocked the aperture under it and tried to adjust it around his waist. „I…..almost got it,“ Commented Rollan trying to squeeze the thick textile through the bands of his pants. Rollan made it and closed his belt, then noticed the old-goldish tune of his symbol get lighter, making him furrow his left eyebrow and in front of him appeared a stone-creature in the air, then it dropped on the ground and it got split into two and both got up scratching their heads.

„Whoa,“ Rollan commented surprised as seeing the two creatures, then got down at the two. „What kind of creatures are you?“ Asked Rollan about to pat the slink creature, then yelped as he burnt his finger on it.

„Hey, hey, hey. Didn‘t you notice the magma on my head?“ Asked the slink stone creature watching Rollan shove his finger in his mouth. „It‘s hotter, than a day at the beach,“

„I‘m sorry,“ Apologized Rollan. „I was kinda astonished by seeing you two,“

„I‘m glad you‘re thinking that way,“ Commented the round creature. „Hey haven‘t we seen each other once? You‘re pretty familiar to me,“

„Not that I know,“ Responded Rollan. „Why?“

„I felt like I‘ve known you somehow,“ Responded the large stone-creature. „I‘m Coal by the way. You‘ve got a name as well?“

„Of course he does, Coal,“ Commented the slink stone creature, making Coal frown and punch him on his face making him fall down on the ground to split into two, now the third creature was much smaller than the slinker one.

„I‘m Rollan,“ Responded Rollan looking at the third creature, which got up along with the slinky one.

„If we‘re going to be together for the next amount of time. I would really love if I could walk on the ground on my own or be carried by you. Anytime I‘m hit or fall down, I split in two and if they fall as well, you‘ll have it worse than in a rabbit burrow,“ Coal commented seeing Rollan sit down on the bench looking at the trio,

„Can I at least know, why I am here talking to you three? What were you doing in my belt?“

„That‘s an excellent question, for some reason a foreign man mixed my powers into this belt, so I assume this would be a way to have the wielder be able to use the powers,“

„Powers?“ Asked Rollan curious. „What kind of powers?“ Asked Rollan, then he heard a loud noise on the outside of the building and ran at the window to look out and see the feet of a large robot stand there blocking the way to the buildings behind it. „Coal?!?“

„The power of fire“ Responded Coal. „You‘re able to create fire and use it,“

„Really? How can I do so?“ Asked the raven-haired boy. „Do I have to say anything?“

„You‘ll get the hand of it. You just have to transform and you‘ll be able to use the powers,“ Responded Coal watching Rollan look out of the window and hear someone scream, then the robot moved back and Rollan dropped his mouth knowing someone might be in trouble right now.

„Does this make me one of the good people if I use the firepower?“ Asked Rollan making the stone-creature shrug his shoulders.

„I‘m just here to follow your orders. Whatever path you chose, is up to you,“ Responded Coal watching Rollan look out of the window and frown.

„They need a hero? They will get one!“ Announced Rollan earning applause from the three stone-creatures.

„Then all you need to do is say, Coal, I‘m fired up,“ Stated the stone-creature.

„Coal, I‘m fired up! Ah ha, ha!“ Shouted Rollan opening up his arms and have his clothing get replaced by brown boots, pants, that were marked with fire-themed symbols resembling an engravure. On his body he wore a dark-brown pullover with small streaks, forming lava running down the clothing. Above the pullover, he wore a gray vest with similar patterns to the ones from the pants, and his belt, which now works as a miraculous was dark-red and the cover with Rollan‘s initial got brighter. His skin got darker along with his eyes and his hairstyle became fixed up resembling a fire flame with its colorings as well starting on the ground with dark brown, leading to red up to the end, which was orange and yellow.

„Wow!“ Commented Rollan astonished looking at his appearance, then ran at the exit and shrieked as the door got smacked back to encounter students from the fencing class run into the locker room accompanied by their class teacher.

„There‘s fire!“ Shouted a girl pointing at Rollan‘s superhero form, which looked around to spot the empty room.

„Where?“ Asked Rollan watching the disappear behind the locker while the rest of the team looked at the superhero. „Why is everyone looking at me as if my head was on fire?“ Asked Rollan and Mr. D‘Argencourt took out his smartphone to show Rollan his looks as a superhero and he got surprised as he saw himself as a superhero and his hair was burning at that exact moment. „Oh that‘s what you meant,“

„Get in here!“ Shouted a red-dressed fencing student, which stood at the entrance waiting for other students to leave the court and Rollan ran out heading to the field passing by a few students encountering Kim Chien Le, who he met on his first school day.

„Hey, Kim! Where‘s the danger?“ Asked Rollan watching Kim point at the outside, making Rollan nod and ran at the outside of the court to spot, a large, dark-blue car robot with two white stripes on its legs and arms holding with its left hand a police car with an agent in it. Rollan spotted on the ground Sabrina Raincomprix, which watched in shock the Roboter threatening her father.

„Papa!“ Shouted the redhead, making Rollan swallow hard.

At another part of the schoolhouse, Gerda was in the restroom washing her hands and moved to the side seeing there was no handpaper available, but a strange, electronic device, which had an etiquette with instruction on how to dry her hands in there. Gerda looked at her hands and slowly put them inside the device, which began to blow wind at Gerda‘s hands to dry them and the side of the device had a small display counting from ten down until it would stop drying. As it stopped Gerda took out her hands, then smiled at seeing it made its job good. Gerda picked up from the floor her bag, then walked out of the restroom out a the library opening up the bag to check her material, she had in it and noticed the wreath Rollan told to have found. Therefore the blonde removed the wreath from her bag, then looked at the reflection of a large metal cart and observed herself inserting the wreath on top of her head. As she‘s done that, a blue spirit appeared beside Gerda floating over the lavatory, shrieking at the girl at the sudden appearance of the small creature.

„Hello. I‘m Snowflake,“ Greeted the spirit. „I‘m coming in peace, don‘t worry. I‘m able to grant you powers...the power of ice,“ Explained Snowflake watching Gerda, which had gotten calmer. „With me, you‘ll be able to use ice. You‘ll be able to freeze things, create things, destroy things. A lot is possible if you learn to figure it out,“ „Like the….Snow Queen?“ Asked Gerda curious making the spirit nod, then she spotted someone and hid inside Gerda‘s backpack. „Hey!“ Shouted Gerda opening the backpack. „Get out of here, I need to talk to you,“ Gerda ordered, then she noticed at the end of the library a student, which was wearing a red hoodie and black pants staring at her confused. „I…..can‘t find my phone in there, but I‘m able to talk like this on it. That‘s pretty cool, isn‘t it?“ Asked Gerda faking a grin at the student.

„Uh…..we gotta hide, there‘s another akuma out there terrorizing the city,“ Stated the student making Gerda nod.

„I will come, don‘t worry,“ Responded Gerda watching the boy move on, then from Gerda‘s pocket came out the spirit, making her frown. „Why didn‘t you show up?“

„You‘re my new holder, right?“ Asked the spirit making Gerda shrug her shoulders.

„I don‘t know. You just appeared at the time I‘ve set this on my head,“ Commented Gerda making Snowflake nod.

„Then I assume you are if the wreath is supposed to go to you,“

„Maybe,“ Commented Gerda, then Snowflake floated forward and Gerda followed the spirit to see above the top of the room two TV screens hanging with the news of the akuma alert.

„Shadow Moth akumatized another citizen, which turned into an Autobot and is causing trouble in Paris,“ Explained the purple-haired moderator on TV.

„Oh oh, that‘s right here at our school,“ Commented Gerda earning a nod from the spirit.

„So what do you think? Do you want to give it a chance and use your powers to take down that monster over there?“ Questioned Snowflake. „I think the superheroes would love to have another helping hand. What do you think?“

„I‘ve never done this before. I don‘t know if I can even pull this off,“

„You can do that. You‘ve got me and my powers. You don‘t have to get worried about being hurt or killed. You're sheltered pretty well as long as you have me activated,“

„Okay I could give it a try,“ Gerda answered. „I‘ve defeated the Snow Queen once when I was younger. This will be easier…..I hope at least,“ Gerda commented, then Snowflake patted Gerda on her shoulder.

„Don‘t worry Gerda. You will do just fine. Say, Snowflake freeze and you‘ll transform,“ Added the creature making Gerda nod.

„Snowflake, Freeze!“ Shouted Gerda having her entire look exchanged. Her clothings had vanished and her entire body was covered in a long, blue winter coat with big snowflake patterns spread around the outfit. The wreath got the similar colors of the outfit, the hair had gotten lighter along with the skin, and around her eyes, up to the side of her ears, she wore a mix of ice-white and blue make-up powder with smaller dots and snowflake spread over it along a part of her cheek.

„Woah I look like a….a mini Snow Queen,“ Gerda commented. „Or no this looks like a regular winter cloak,“ Spoke Gerda, then heard the door of the library get kicked back by Kim Chien Le and Ethan, the student he played basketball with holding up the doors, so a few students ran in for safety. Gerda looked from the second floor at the two, then she had an idea and looked at the stairs beside her and looked at her hands, then held them open wide and shoot ice from her hands and she approached the stairs, so she would freeze them. Gerda smiled, then jumped on it sliding down at the first floor, then Gerda shrieked and pushed down a redheaded student and flenched her teeth in shock.

„I‘m sorry Nathaniel,“ Commented Gerda looking at the redhead scratch his head and look up at the girl bewildered from knowing his name. Gerda saw him not caring about what happened, then she ran out of the library and a few students got at the door to see the mysterious person, that had just run out of the library.

„I feel like I‘ve seen her before,“ Commented Kim making the blonde student shrug his shoulders watching the superheroine freeze the long stairs, to slide down on her back.

Rollan stood at the exit looking at the robot, which held the police car in his hands, then he whistled to catch the robot‘s attention.

„Hey! You have to pick someone who‘s worth your level!“ Shouted Rollan‘s alter ego, then he heard a whooshing sound and turned his head back to see the ice-themed superheroine come along. She had made herself a path to the exit with ice, where she was trying to slide on, but she ended up falling down on her front. Rollan got down on the ground to offer her his hand. She took his hand to get up, then tripped over the ice and hit her forehead on his nose, causing him to shake his head surprised at the mishap.

„Are you okay?“ Asked Rollan raising up the girl carefully, then looked into her blue eyes and got lost in them. „Que Hermosísimo...“ Commented Rollan making Gerda grin embarrassed at her slipping, then both turned around as they heard Sabrina cry about her father in danger.

„Have you got any idea?“ Asked Rollan. „I don‘t know, how I can get up there,“

„Maybe we should attack him from here,“ Suggested Gerda, then Rollan nodded and ran towards the supervillain, making Gerda drop her mouth. „What are you going to do?“ Asked Gerda watching the superhero move his arms back causing two fireballs on the hands, then jumped up and hit with them the feet of the supervillain, causing the metal of the feet to melt a little. Rollan looked up at the robot, which moved his feet hard yeeting Rollan across the air, so he would crash with his back against the wall of the school. Gerda ran at the superhero to check for him, then helped him sat up.

„Are you okay?“ Asked Gerda making him nod.

„Yah,“ Replied the brunette. „My fire isn‘t powerful enough to harm him,“

„I saw,“ Responded Gerda and looked at the supervillain, which used his other hand to open the door of the police car, then stopped as the policeman began to shot with his gun at him.

„I think I have an idea,“ Gerda said running at the robot then used her ice power to build around the feet of the robot ice and Rollan sat up observing her doing that. Rollan looked up at the robot, then at the schoolhouse, and had an idea, then run into the school building leaving Gerda alone trying to stop the villain with her ice power.

For a long while, Gerda continued using her ice power seeing she made it to froze the feet of the robot in it, then smiled as he didn‘t move his feet in it. Gerda raised her hand in victory, then the robot tried to pull out his right leg, making pressure on the ice, which began to decay, making Gerda wide her eyes as her plan didn‘t quite work well.

From above the schoolhouse, Gerda spotted Rena Rouge fly against the car, then catapult herself away from it, while pushing Roger Raincomprix out of the vehicle and she landed on the ground, followed by catching the heavy man almost bringing the heroine down on the ground.

„Gosh! Are you heavy!“ Complained Rena Rouge, then the supervillain broke out off the ice and Gerda ran in Rena‘s direction throwing ice at the supervillain to stop him, unsuccessfully.

„Sorry, we‘re new here,“ Gerda commented watching Rena Rouge drop the policeman on the ground, which ran to his daughter and shrieked as the robot dropped the police car over the two.

„Watch out!“ Shouted Rena Rouge then Gerda used her ice power causing a long bridge to appear over the Raincomprix‘s and it hit the bridge, causing it to break, making Gerda scream and before it fell on top of the family Ladybug showed up, coming from the school and used her yo-yo to pull them away, before getting hurt.

„Well done, Ladybug!“ Chanted Rena Rouge, then Ladybug pointed at the school court, where the two members ran into and Ladybug noticed the foreign girl and figured out, that she was wearing the ice miraculous.

„Where did you find that miraculous?“ Asked Ladybug pointing at the wreath.

„It‘s actually mine,“ Gerda responded. „Or it‘s very identical to the wreath I lost,“

„Look….“Ladybug commented, then she heard the shatter of a window, then looked up along with Gerda to see the fire-themed superhero jump out off the window against the supervillain, landing on the middle of his leg, then he used both hands to create a fireball and grabbed the iron of his leg to melt it.

Ladybug facepalmed, then watched Gerda use her ice power to freeze the leg of the villain, then she stopped as she saw the robot push Rollan off his leg into his doom, then Gerda quickly used her ice to freeze the villain‘s foot and Rollan landed on the ice, slipping against Gerda's arms, which caught him. The boy grinned abashedly, then got dropped to the ground as Ladybug approached the duo.

„I see both of you are new. Per coincidence, I already defeated this villain once. The main goal is getting into the head of the villain and destroy the car keys,“ Stated Ladybug, then she heard Cat Noir‘s staff and looked from above the houses behind the bakery to see the cat-themed superhero come along and land on the head of the supervillain, then he knocked on the head of the supervillain.

„Cou cou!“ Greeted Cat Noir gazing upside down into the cabin of the car to see the human, that was akumatized and used his staff to break the windshield, then the robot moved with his upper body hastily causing Cat Noir to fall off, then grab himself on the waist of the robot.

„How shall we get up without any help?“ Asked Gerda looking at Ladybug, then Rena Rouge had an idea and grabbed the girl on her shoulder.

„Follow me you two,“ Asked Rena Rouge switching from Gerda to Rollan, then both followed the fox-themed superheroine and Ladybug looked at her yo-yo, then threw it up to activate her lucky charm.

„Lucky charm!“ Shouted the heroine, then received a large ladder and chuckled about it. „Wow this is actually useful….in a way,“ Commented the spotted heroine, then looked around the place and noticed the car of the police agent lie broken in front of the stairs, then she had an idea and ran at the car to place the ladder over the car. Ladybug watched Cat Noir jump off the Autobot, landing on the ground, and observed the Autobot hit himself on the leg, making Cat Noir grin.

„You‘ve got a plan, bugaboo?“ Asked Cat Noir, then Ladybug pointed at the ladder.

„I had expected you to remain up on Apace there for a little longer and jump down at the ladder, but now I think you‘ve gotta do it in another way,“

„From above the school?“ Suggested Cat Noir, then heard the window of the school getting broken, then both looked up to see Rollan‘s superhero form fly towards the supervillain, getting closer to his head, beginning to distract him. „I wasn‘t aware he could do that,“ Cat Noir commented surprised making Ladybug chuckle.

„Rena is quite imaginative, isn‘t she?“ Asked Ladybug looking at Cat Noir, which then understood, Ladybug had already figured out it was an illusion. Rollan‘s alter ego jumped out off the window and Cat Noir jumped at the middle of the ladder and got on the top of it, making the ladder swank down and Rollan‘s landing on the other side catapulted Cat Noir up at the driver cabin, thereafter Cat Noir broke with his staff the side of the window, then blocked with it the driver and activated his cataclysm to destroy his car keys to reveal the akuma.

„Bingo!“ Cat Noir chanted, then the villain packed Cat Noir on his head, trying to hold him down, and moved his hand close to Cat Noir‘s hand.

„Why is it taking so long?“ Asked Rollan looking at Ladybug, which noticed Cat Noir‘s odd movements from down, then she looked up at the roof to see Rena Rouge and Gerda‘s alter ego.

„Hey, snowgirl! Jump down and help the fire guy up at the robot head to help Cat Noir out!“ Ordered Ladybug, then Gerda looked down at Rollan‘s alter ego, which waited for her to jump down. „Don‘t worry,“

„Come on, you‘ll do just fine. I trust you,“ Rollan said loud, then Gerda jumped down landing with her feet on the end of the ladder catapulting Rollan up on the robot, then he landed on top of Cat Noir and grabbed the hands of the villain to prevent him to remove the ring off Cat Noir‘s hands.

„What‘s the next plan?“ Asked Rollan, then Cat Noir moved his head to look at the villain trying to find another place, where an amok could be located eventually.

„Do you see here anything loose?“ Asked Cat Noir, then Rollan looked around noticing on the rearview mirror a religious necklace hanging on it. He then kept looking around the vehicle and glanced back at the mirror.

„What about the necklace on the mirror?“ Asked Rollan making the superhero nod.

„That must it be, destroy it,“ Ordered Cat Noir, then Rollan picked the necklace and pressed it tight together causing fire with his hands, so it would get pulverized by him, then a blue feather flew out off the broken windshield making Cat Noir smile. „Well done,“ Complimented Cat Noir and Rollan watched the feather fly out, then they heard Ladybug activate her healing light to restore everything back to normal and around the robot passed by her light and removed the robot, dropping the two superheroes on the ground. Rollan got confused, afterward looked around himself to see, what had happened and looked at Cat Noir.

"Is your hair really burning?" Asked Cat Noir looking at the rookie, which was checking the surroundings wondering, where the robot had gone.

„Where did the robot go?“ Asked Rollan. Cat Noir spotted the citizen, that had been de-akumatized appear on the ground and beside him stood a blue, American muscle car. Cat Noir got up and went down on his knees to check on the man.

„Did you get caught on another illegal race, Anthony?“ Asked Cat Noir making the man shake his head.

„Not really, but I broke the speed limit and got my license taken away. I actually deserved it anyway, but I have let the anger take over me,“ Explained the driver, then Rollan looked into the car to see the necklace on the mirror, then got down to the man as well.

„That necklace in there, I used to have one from my mother, but I‘ve lost it,“ Commented Rollan.

„I‘ve got it there as a lucky charm,“ Stated the driver. „But I should really keep the velocity down. Not because of my life, I could bring someone else in danger or even erase someone‘s life, who‘s most likely to be innocent,“

„We never know,“ Commented Cat Noir, then Rollan got up to approach Ladybug, Rena Rouge and Gerda‘s alter ego, then smiled at the girls.

„We‘re not quite the skilled heroes here,“ Commented Rollan. „I‘m not sure, how we got to be them or if we deserve it,“

„Actually I‘ve lost your two‘s miraculouses during my last fight and I needed to retrieve it, but you two were fighting without any hesitation and trying to help. I think I‘ll let you keep them. Now that Shadow Moth is stronger than before it would be really good to have more team members. This was your first time, you two will gain skills with the time,“

„Yes,“ Agreed Gerda looking at Rollan‘s alter ego, which smiled at her and bowed down at the girl.

„Have you two actually a name?“ Asked Rena. „You know a superhero one?“

„Exactly, no one has to know who our identity is. No one. This is most important, cause if Hawk Moth knows about our other identity, we and our family and friends will be in danger,“

„Sure,“ Responded Rollan.

„I promise,“ Gerda added.

„So, what‘s your hero name?“ Asked Ladybug. „Paris needs to know, who these two newbies are,“

„Well I would need to think about how I should call myself...something feminine,“ Stated Gerda while Rollan pondered about it.

„Fire King, I‘m Fire King,“ Stated Rollan making Ladybug smile.

„It does‘t have to be complicated. Something very simple like uhm….Ice Queen“ Suggested Ladybug making Rena chuckle.

„Or Frosty, Frosty-girl, Queen Frost…….Ice Frost….“ Suggested the Fire King making Gerda chuckle, then she figured out a name she could use.

„Hey, I think I‘ve got one…...What about, Lady Frost?“

„It‘s up to you, if you like it,“ Mentioned Ladybug earning a nod from Rena Rouge.

„I like it,“ Rena commented making Gerda smile.

„I find it suits you,“ Added Fire King earning a nod from the light blonde girl, then Ladybug lifted her fist up in the middle, then watched Cat Noir and Rena Rouge get beside the two and look at the two newbies. Rena Rouge moved her eyes calling the attention of the two rookies, which smiled and placed their one hand in the middle to do a group fist bump.

„Pound it!“ Said the group together, seconds later Fire King and Lady Frost repeated their sentence, then saw Cat Noir‘s ring beep.

„Oh excuse me, I gotta go, see you another time,“ Cat Noir said waving at the group.

„How long have you been superheroes if I may ask?“ Questioned Lady Frost watching Ladybug think about it.

„I think about two years, almost,“ Replied the blue-haired girl. „I‘ve got a lot of experience on my back. You two are new, inexperienced, and are probably new to us all. Eventually to each other as well. The more we work together in the future, the better you two get,“

„Thank you for your confidence, Ladybug,“ Commented Lady Frost giving the heroine her hand to shake, then saw Ladybug‘s earring beep.

„Oh I gotta go as well, before I transform back,“ Warned Ladybug earning a nod from Rena Rouge, which saluted at the duo and ran away. Ladybug used her yo-yo and swung away, disappearing behind the building and Fire King and Lady Frost looked at each other.

„Do we know each other?“ Asked Fire King making the ice-themed heroine shake her head.

„Probably not. I don‘t seem to recognize you,“ Responded Lady Frost making the brunette nod.

„I felt like I‘ve seen you before,“ Commented Fire King. „I don‘t know, maybe your eyes made me feel like I‘ve seen them before,“

At the docks near the fishing bait store, Enrico‘s father stood along with another man in front of a carriage waiting together for Enrico and Ernesto to show up by them.

„Where are they?“ Asked the man looking at the father of Enrico.

„They should be at the docks coming down here,“ The father of Enrico responded walking behind the house to look at the road to see on the road the two boys run in his direction. „There they are,“ The father commented, then the friend stood beside him to see them.

„It passed midnight, they‘re almost half an hour delayed,“ The man pointed out watching the father move forward to come closer to the boys, then in the middle, the boys arrived and stopped in front of the father.

„Dad, you can‘t believe, what we saw!“ Enrico shouted. „We saw three strange-looking animals and something like a dragon hybrid!“

„What?!?“ Asked the father shocked. „Ernesto, is he serious?“

„The dragon flew behind Enrico into Rollan‘s house and I think it hunted him,“

„What has he done to you?“ The father asked looking at his son.

„She threw me around the bedroom snarling at me, while she protected those three strange cubs. They had long ears, a thick nose and I don‘t know how to explain it….they look like rabbits, but weirder,“ Enrico explained. „They‘re about the size of the Tomato red fox we found the other day,“

„Alright, did you two notice anything about the dragon?“ The father asked earning a nod from the two boys.

„I didn‘t see quite much. It flew fast into the house,“ Ernesto commented.

„It was about a head taller than me and the wings seemed to be really wide too. I couldn‘t see them fully open,“

„Wow, I really hope you two are talking real about this,“ The friend of the father said shrieking Ernesto.

„We‘re saying the truth. That dragon-thing could have killed us, I have no idea how Enrico made it out of there,“

„I didn‘t know it either. The dragon was about to claw me with her hand, but she purposely missed me,“ Enrico commented earning a nod from the father.

„And whose house is that again you broke in?“ The father asked, then Enrico showed the father the book.

„You know about Rollan, that guy that got one of your members arrested the other week,“ Enrico asked earning a nod from the man. „We found out he had a dark moment in his past, which he never told anyone about it and it‘s inside this book here. If we hand this out to Lieutenant Roberto and point him this out Rollan is most likely to get arrested and we have a nose less out of your business,“ Enrico explained opening the book to his father, then he took it to look through.

„Ernesto, how again did those brown cubs look like, which you encountered in Rollan‘s room?“ The father asked.

„They could stay on their hind legs, they have a long, round nose and their ears are slim but long. I think it passes over their neck,“

„I think those creatures are more worth than anything else we‘ve caught over the months,“ The father said turning the book to show an illustration with three similar cubs and three grown trolls standing around a burning building. „I need you two to go back to his house in the upcoming days to catch those cubs and bring them into our hideout,“

„But…..what about the dragon?“ Enrico asked making the father snort.

„Don‘t you worry about it. Take the net launcher and when she appears again take her down,“ The father suggested. „If you think you need a third person, Alejandro can come with you,“ The father offered earning a nod from Enrico.

„Alright, father. As soon as possible?“

„Of course,“ The father commented. „Just warn Alejandro when you plan to go and we‘re good,“ Explained the man earning a nod from the son.

„Have you already got a plan?“ Ernesto asked his friend, which saw Enrico show him the book.

„We can already use this tomorrow against Rollan. If he gets arrested, we can take the chance of his absence and take the cubs to us,“ Explained Enrico making Ernesto shrug his shoulder. „What‘s up?

„Nothing. I‘m just feeling like we‘re ruining his life for no specific reason,“

„If we get rid of him, no one will make sure we and my dad land behind the grid. Come on, you‘re acting like we‘re planning to kill him. Be happy he at least stays alive,“ „Enrico commented earning a nod from Ernesto.

„Sure, I think you‘re right there,“

„You better not think about that boy. Come and get up on the carriage. We got work to do,“ The man announced watching the boys get up on the carriage, so the rest of the team got up and made their way out of there heading into the town.

The friends of Rollan were at the beach sitting on the sand together. Rollan wore his shorts only along with Kai, which wore a similar pair to his, but they were tightened on his waist with a belt due to having a smaller taille than the older boy. Alfida wore her red-white colored underclothing and Gerda wore on as well, but in white color only.

„I assumed you all had actual swimsuits,“ Rollan commented making the girls shake their heads.

„I obviously have never needed one in my life,“ Alfida mentioned. „When I learned to swim I had clothes on like everyone else,“

„We‘re supposed to wear clothes. Are you thinking it would be nice to see everyone walk around here naked?“ Kai asked making his girlfriend shake her head.

„Down here we wear swimsuits. Women mostly. Men usually have like me and Kai any sort of shorts on,“ Rollan explained. „You girls are still covered in the swimsuits, besides your legs and arms. Like most of the girls and women, you see here around us,“

„Maybe on our next trip we gather some money for them,“ Alfida pointed out. „I still got a bit, but I saved it up for food,“

„Same here,“ Kai added. „Mostly for the way back home.“

„About the way home, will you go directly or will you do stops as well?“ Questioned the Spaniard.

„Gerda and I have a job back there. If we got there and still have it it‘s a big luck for us to have such a comprehensive boss,“ Alfida pointed out earning a nod from the raven-haired boy.

„That‘s kind of cool if your boss is really like that,“ Rollan commented. „But what if you both lose it?“

„Then we look for a new one,“ Alfida commented. „I don‘t think I lose my job that easy. Gerda, I have no idea. So far I know not many people are interested to work in a library as she does,“

„I can always help my parents at the store until I find something else if it happens,“ Gerda explained. „I came with you, cause I wanted to make sure we could bring the cubs back home safely and I would as well be able to see Rollan for a bit,“ Gerda commented placing her hand on his arm, making him smile.

„Is anyone going to swim actually?“ Kai asked looking at the trio, then Alfida shrugged and looked at Rollan and Gerda.

„I thought that was the point of our date unless you want to build sandcastles or bury yourself inside the sand,“ Rollan suggested. „Or we can ask to join the group up there at the other side of the beach to play beach volleyball,“

„I‘m not sure, what you will pick but I‘m going to take a swim,“ Gerda announced getting up on the sand to walk into the water and looked back at her friends. „Anyone else joining?“

„I stay here and build a sandcastle,“ Kai responded watching Alfida begin to dig with her hands in the sand to collect it.

„Rollan?“ Gerda asked watching Rollan ran into the water and jump into it to pass beside her and swim further. Gerda followed him from the side watching him holding his pace well without getting tired fast. Gerda tried to hold up with him paddling with her feet faster and Rollan rolled his eyes back to see his girlfriend trying to get closer to him, then he smiled and stopped floating on the surface. Gerda got closer to him, then stopped in front of him holding herself up with her hands above the water.

„You swim fast,“ Gerda mentioned. „Is it because of the practice?“

„I think so,“ Rollan responded. „I haven‘t noticed this before. We‘re all at the academy about the same speed. Important was it to be able to swim well when we joined the academy,“ Rollan explained and lied himself up on the water of the surface closing his eyes while floating with his entire body on the shallow.

„What are you doing?“ Gerda asked making the boyfriend chuckle.

„Floating over the surface. It‘s quite easy. You just have to remain calm and let your lungs do the work,“ Rollan said slowly sinking with his legs into the water and he kept his body above the shoulders out of the water. „Take a bit of breath and lie yourself up above the water,“ Rollan taught the girl, which slowly lied herself up on the surface and tried to remain on the surface, then slowly her arms got down under the water and Gerda got up again on the surface.

„Wait, I have to try it again,“ Gerda said repeating the deed, then Rollan held one of his hands under her back to assist her in holding her equilibrium over water.

„I‘m holding you, stay relaxed,“ Rollan commanded, then Gerda closed her eyes and stretched her arms and legs, holding her breath a little. Rollan removed his hand slowly watching the girl breathe out while being on top of the shallow. Rollan smiled, then Gerda opened her eyes to see she was floating, then she began to sink again, afterward, she disappeared with her body underwater leaving her head out.

„It was better than the first time,“ Rollan pointed out earning a nod from the blonde.

„I‘m surely better in sinking down than staying above the water…..hey wait a moment, what about we two challenge each other on who holds the air the longest?“ Gerda asked making her boyfriend shrug his shoulders.

„Hmm….good,“ Rollan responded.

„Three, two, one, dive!“ Gerda counted covering her nose along with Rollan to dive under the water. Rollan came out first to gasp after breath, then seconds later Gerda came up raising her first in victory. „1 to 0!“

„Uno, dos, tres!“ Rollan shouted diving down along with his girlfriend to see, who would win this time and both came out at the same time out of the water. „Wow, didn‘t expect this,“

„ Uno, dos, tres!“ Gerda counted making Rollan grin at her try, then he dived down along with the girlfriend. Several seconds later Rollan came out and wished his bangs aside and looked down to see Gerda was still inside the water making him drop his chin in surprise, then Gerda came out to gasp for breath.

„Wow that was long,“ Gerda said earning a nod from her boyfriend, then he took a look at her hair noticing that she had her hair ties on, while she was swimming.

„You know you don‘t need to wear your ties on your hair during swimming,“ Rollan pointed it out, then Gerda looked at them.

„Oh, I forgot to take them off. I rarely take them off you know,“

„You will look without them just as beautiful as you are with them,“ Rollan complimented making Gerda smile enamored with the Spaniard.

„Well with the time I‘m in the water I could as well lose them by mistake,“ Gerda mentioned taking the ties off her hair and adjusted her hair, while Rollan observed her showing her straight hair. „And? What do you say?“

„Muy bonita,“ Complimented the raven-haired boy watching Gerda‘s hair points lie over the surface earning Rollan‘s attention, which swum beside her to look at their length. „You should more often have your hair open,“ Suggested Rollan watching Gerda smile at him amorously, seeing him get flirty with her, then she had an idea and pushed him into the water and swam away laughing amused. Rollan got out with his head and smirked at her invitation to play, then Rollan began to swim behind her and dived down underwater to pursue the girlfriend from under there and he returned to the surface and grabbed her by the feet to stop her, then she splashed with her hands against Rollan to free herself from him and made her way back towards the beach, followed by Rollan which got over the deed.

„Come and get me, if you can!“ Gerda chanted making Rollan laugh, which followed her to the beach, then made it to be near her almost arriving at land, where Kai and Alfida had made a simple castle out of the sand.

„I‘m getting you, Gerda,“ Rollan warned making Gerda chuckle, then she stopped as she felt the ground under her feet and Rollan passed beside her pointing to the sand advising her the race wasn‘t over making Gerda shake her head amused, then she hopped at Rollan to push him down landing with him in the water and she laughed at their fall, then looked at Rollan, which had his back out of the water and he rolled around to face Gerda, which was sitting over him gazing at his eyes.

„I‘m the winner, right?“ Gerda asked noticing Rollan gaze into her eyes distracted, then she shook her head knowing he was paralyzed by her deed, then she moved aside and sat down on the ground afterward Rollan copied her and looked at her.

„You won a lot today,“ Rollan responded watching Gerda smile and lean her cheek on his shoulder. „Most importantly, my full attention to you,“

„With you now, I am having the best time of my life,“

„That‘s good to know. You deserve so much more, mi amor. Much, much more,“ Admitted Rollan grabbing her hand to hold it tight on his chest.

„I want this time here with you to last forever,“ Gerda gushed leaning her forehead on her boyfriend‘s. „I‘m enjoying every single second with you,“

„Ah so romantic!“ A voice said interrupting the couple in the water, then Rollan frowned as he recognized the voice and saw behind himself and Gerda the boy Enrico come along with two guards and Gerda dropped her mouth as the police were accompanying the boy.

Rollan looked at Gerda worried, then Gerda grabbed his hand and shook her head so he would understand he should not worry.

„It really is,“ Gerda commented making Enrico roll his eyes and throw from his backpack out the Snow Queen book, which he stole from Rollan‘s bedroom.

„I‘ve shown the guards here your book, Rollan,“ Enrico spoke. „You have two choices. You admit it or you lie to everyone as you did before,“

„What are you talking about?“ Gerda started. „It‘s just a book,“

„Yes and this book here describes a certain man with the exact name and looks as your novio perfecto attempting to commit murder on an entire species and a few humans in order to rule the kingdom there. The funny thing, this happened during the time you were absent from Spain,“ Enrico commented making Gerda shake her head.

„It could be a coincidence,“ Gerda lied, then Enrico opened the book to show her a page, where Rollan looked like himself, then swiped to another page, where he transformed into a fire-themed character and moved to the last pages to show him trapping Gerda in the tombs. „Oh, you look just like this girl here in the illustration,“ Enrico commented. „Guards, she‘s also lying you see,“ Enrico warned watching both guards take out their swords to aim at the two, shrieking the couple at the water.

„Hey, hey, hey! Hold the horses. This happened a long time ago. He was pardoned by the king,“ Alfida commented getting up from the ground, then took out from the ground her chevrons to show it to the guards, so they would know she‘s a member of King Harald‘s palace‘s guards. „King Harald cleaned his reputation after he risked his life to save…..his son‘s life,“ Alfida made up earning a nod from Gerda and Rollan, which played along.

„Guards, I‘m Gerda, the girl, that defeated the Snow Queen seven years ago. On this day here Rollan and I were possessed by the demons of the Snow Queen and the Fire Demon, the only difference was, that Rollan couldn‘t manage in time to free himself from the demon and was used as a slave to fight people. The real Rollan wasn‘t even aware of what was going on,“

„Rollan assumed his responsibility for what happened, his penalty just didn‘t get fulfilled to 100% because this situation occurred with the king and he got reunited with Gerda to solve this situation,“ Alfida made up.

„And that‘s why he‘s free, cause he saved someone and…...he was forgiven and all,“ Kai added earning a nod from the girlfriend.

„They‘re friends. They‘re lying!“ Enrico warned watching the guards ponder.

„Alright, look as long as I haven‘t heard it personally from the king or in any way, but I received a complaint from Enrico and an anonymous person and I need to at least take him with me and keep him locked out as long as we manage to obtain any information from your king,“ The first guard explained. „If I find out you‘re all lying to save your friend, you‘re going into the same location as your friend here,“

„If you need his address, look it up behind the chevrons I've got,“ Alfida mentioned showing him the backside of the textile earning a nod from the guard.

„But King Harald doesn‘t know anything about that,“ Rollan whispered to Gerda.

„Don‘t worry, we find a way out to help you, I promise,“ Gerda said getting up along with Rollan, then Rollan walked towards the guard, which grabbed Rollan‘s arms and placed them behind his back, then placed around his hands handcuffs and looked at his friends.

„You three can visit your friend one hour each day. As long as he doesn‘t come into ideas,“ The guard said earning a nod from the trio.

„Will you tell my mom about it?“ Rollan asked Gerda, which nodded. „Will you also make sure that the boys are safe?“

„Orm is there, don‘t worry,“ Gerda assured earning a nod from Rollan, then the guard placed his hand behind Rollan‘s neck and moved forward along with the other guard, then Enrico closed the book and threw it on the sand.

„I won‘t need this anymore,“ Enrico said walking away behind the guards, making Gerda frown and look at her friends.

„Rollan just got taken. We need to figure out how to get him out of there,“ Gerda mentioned earning a nod from her brother.

„Why didn‘t they just buy our lie or more important. Why do they believe in a silly book?“ Kai asked making Gerda shrug her shoulders.

„My issue here is on how they just arrest Rollan when the crime happened on the outside of Spain. Usually, he‘s supposed to get punished back in the troll kingdom,“

„Yeah, I think so. Look I don‘t know if you‘re going to stay here, but I‘m going to look for Rollan‘s mother and tell her what happened,“ Gerda said picking up a towel Rollan borrowed her, so she could dry herself.

„Gerda wait up, we‘re coming with you, „Kai mentioned earning a nod from his sister, and began to put on his shirt to get ready to leave with the girls.

At the airship of Alfida sat next to Orm looking into the book with the map of the Iberian Peninsula.

„Your cousins are well. Rollan and his mother took care of them without any problem,“ The pirate girl mentioned. „They have eaten and drank enough to be alright,“

„This is good. I couldn‘t live with the guilt of being unattentive toward the triplets and then something happens to them,“ Orm admitted.

„Yeah mostly they‘re Arrog‘s kids and worse….they‘re heirs,“

„I‘m glad they were with Rollan. Despite not being fond of him, I‘m glad to know he was willing to keep them until we come to get them,“

„When you see him tomorrow or so you can thank him for that,“ Alfida suggested.

„Yeah, I owe it to him after all,“ Orm said making the girl nod. „Or will he also pass by here with Gerda?“

„I don‘t know. I just heard Gerda and Rollan went on a walk together,“ Mentioned the girl. „I didn‘t hear anything else,“

„I don‘t think there‘s anything to worry about for now,“ Kai said coming from the cabin of the ship to meet the duo. „I don‘t know how long you two want to stay here, but I think being here two or three days won‘t hurt…..Hey, we could as well go out together on the road and have some fun together,“ Kai offered. „What do you think about this?“

„And what have you got in mind?“ Alfida asked with a smirk, then Kai pondered about Alfida‘s comment, then shrugged.

„Well…..we haven‘t agreed on what time we go, so…...I‘ll have enough time to find something for us to, what do you say?“

„Okay sounds like a good start,“ Alfida responded, then Kai went down on his knees to look ath the card on the book.

„I think I could look for a location map or anything here to find easy something for us. If I‘m not around in the morning, I‘m out there,“ Kai advised earning a nod from the troll.

Rollan and Gerda were walking together along the beach holding each other‘s hands. Gerda, during the walk, gazed at the ocean as her boyfriend guided her gently.

„It still feels a little warm here on the beach,“ Gerda mentioned rolling her eyes up at the raven-haired boy.

„During the summer it is like that on the beaches. You could as well lie here the entire night for a sleep. Sometimes people do that once in a while,“

„Have you ever done it?“ Questioned the blonde making Rollan shake his head.

„You know my mama never went out on this time with me alone. At least when I was younger. But during the day we‘ve got and she taught me how to swim. Therefore I already had some lessons with my father, before he departed,“

„You…..never spoke about your dad,“ Gerda pointed out stopping to look at Rollan. „You only spoke about your mother,“

„You know I particularly grew up without an actual father figure. He passed away, when I was around 10 years old,“ Responded the Spaniard. „He died out there at the sea along with other men as they went fishing,“

„They drown?“

„A tempest had come over Alicante and we have never heard of them since that day,“ Rollan explained making Gerda sad. „We never got to see the shipwreck after all these years,“

„I‘m sorry you had to go through that,“ Gerda apologized squeezing his hand.

„It‘s alright. I made it through my growth with only my mama. Sure at some aspects having papa around would have been better, but I can‘t pick how my life moves on….Well I do, but I can‘t always choose, who will be around me for long,“

„A few things for ourselves we are allowed to pick for us,“

„What do you mean?“ Rollan questioned, then the blonde moved his arm up to her giving him a simper smile, so the boyfriend would understand it. „Oh……….You‘re one of the best things life has offered me yet. You gave me the chance to show you the real me….the better side of me I mean,“

„Deep inside everyone‘s heart, no one is bad. Neither are you, Rollan,“

You‘re right. I just was really naive in wanting to gain superpowers, not noticing, what this would do to us,“

„What matters now, is that everyone is okay and you‘re here with me,“ Gerda commented leaning her head under his chin making him smile enchanted with the girl‘s affection.

„I know when I took you out here I didn‘t want to talk about it, but I need a second opinion on what I should do about this with the book and my unawareness of what I‘ve done in the past,“ Rollan mentioned. „I‘m afraid if Enrico tricked me and has already shown the book to Roberto,“

„Don‘t worry, tomorrow I and Luta will take care of the situation. While each of you is busy training Luta will look for the book and when she finds it she will bring it back to you,“

„And that will work?“ Rollan asked.

„She can always rip off pages from it if there is no quicker way to get rid of it,“ Suggested Gerda. „Isn‘t probably the smartest idea, but it‘s what I could come up with for now,“

„Okay, but hey if it leads her or you into danger, don‘t do it and leave it to me instead. Could even be a worse idea,“

„It will go fine, I promise“

„I worry about you, Gerda,“

„I know you do,“ Replied the blonde caressing her boyfriend‘s cheek with the back of her hand. „Estàs…..dulce,“

„Eres dulce is the correct one, but muchas gracias mi Amor,“ Rollan responded grabbing the girl‘s hand, then leaned in to kiss her on the lips. Afterward, Rollan embraced the girl, leaning his chin over her head making her sigh enamored, then open her eyes to look at the boy.

„Want to move on with our walk?“ Questioned the Spaniard earning a nod from the girl, then she went off Rollan‘s arms and stepped on the water making Rollan chuckle.

„Whops,“

„You did that on purpose did you?“ Gerda asked jokingly making Rollan shake his head.

„I wouldn‘t do that while you‘re wearing your clothes,“ Rollan mentioned, then Gerda pulled him on the arm at the water causing him to trip over her leg and fall into the water on his knees. „Hey!“

„I would,“ Gerda commented with a snicker as she saw her boyfriend at the water, then he held up his hand for her to help him up, but instead Rollan pulled her down at the water and laughed at her incident.

„Ops I pushed too hard,“ Rollan commented, then Gerda glared at him and splashed water toward his face. „Hey! That was my payment,“

„And this was mine,“ Gerda stated crossing her arms, then Rollan got up and held out his hands to help his girlfriend up, then he smiled at the girl as both had eye contact again, afterward Gerda closed her eyes pursing her lips and Rollan mirrored her move, then the girl opened her eyes and she pushed him into the water again.

„Gerda! Really?“ Rollan asked annoyed watching Gerda ran away, then he stood up to pursue the girl along the beach which chuckled at their tag match. Rollan was catching up with the girl, then before he reached his arm to grab her arm, she turned into her dragon form and flew up on the air. „En serio?“

Gerda looked down at Rollan, which stood back surprised, then she returned and flew above his head passing with her tail above Rollan‘s shoulders, then he began to run behind her making her chuckle at their arranged entertainment.

„Don‘t worry, amor. I practiced well enough to catch you,“ Rollan warned earning a silly grin from the blonde.

„Oh really? I don‘t think so,“ Gerda commented moving around her tail to distract Rollan, but Rollan didn‘t let it go through him and he jumped up to grab Gerda by the tail, shrieking the girl, which looked behind her seeing Rollan slide with his feet over the sand.

„This is actually funny,“ Rollan commented making Gerda smile, then she had an idea and flew up in the air carrying the boy behind her.

„How much do you weigh?“ Gerda asked feeling Rollan getting heavy for her tail.

„I haven‘t eaten anything fat lately,“ Rollan pointed out, then Gerda moved her arms down to pick up Rollan by his shoulders and beat with her wings to fly higher, so both could have a different perspective from above. „Wow so this is how you see when you‘re flying on your own,“

„You like it?“ Gerda asked seeing Rollan nod, then Rollan‘s shirt slowly slipped off his shoulders, shrieking Gerda, which dropped him and fell on her back to catch the boy and landed inside the water. „I‘m sorry, your shirt was slipping off my hands,“ Gerda explained watching Rollan sit up on the water, then Gerda noticed Rollan‘s clothes were wet and she recognized on the red textile of his shirt his well-formed front. „Wo….woah,“ Gerda commented looking astonished at seeing Rollan like that.

„Looks like they won‘t dry until tomorrow,“ Rollan mentioned getting up, then helped Gerda up, which turned a little red at Rollan‘s sight. „You‘re okay?“

„You‘re…...You look amazing,“ Gerda commented making Rollan smile.

„Thanks,“ Rollan responded, then he spotted in the far two guards stroll together then he grabbed her hand and pulled her with him. „Turn back into yourself before someone sees you,“ Asked the Spaniard, afterward the girl turned into her civilian self to see the guards continue their way normally and she gazed back at Rollan.

„Where shall we go now?“ Gerda asked stopping along with Rollan, which shrugged his shoulders.

In the evening, Rollan sat in the dining room with an uninspired look on his face eating salad. Along at the table, the cubs had finished the dinner and had their eyes set on the boy noticing he wasn‘t in a good mood, then exchanged looks with the other. Leticia, which was almost done looked toward her son, which was distracted with his food.

„Hijo. Que pasa?“ Leticia asked. „You haven‘t eaten anything,“

„I‘m thinking about something. Someone……..gave me two choices to pick and no matter what I choose, none of them are…..good,“ Rollan commented.

„Is it about whether you work around Madrid at the kingdom or outside on any town?“ Questioned the mother making Rollan shrug his shoulders.

„No, it‘s…...I never told you or anyone else here about what happened back in the troll-kingdom, when I went to look for the wishing stone. I also never did, because I was afraid and now someone began to blackmail me with this issue my forcing me to quit the academy,“

„Who wants you to leave the academy?“ Questioned Leticia. „Is it Enrico and Ernesto, the ones you talked about to be mean towards you when you were younger?“

„Mainly Enrico, but I‘m afraid, that if I still quit he‘ll find other ways to use me,“

„How is he going to tell anyone, what you did without proofs?“ Questioned the mother.

„There‘s a book explaining, what happened on that day. My name is described there, my looks are quite similar and it happened during the time I was absent. I don‘t know, who wrote that but it exists and if Enrico shows this to Roberto or any other guard I may just lose the position there at the academy and eventually get arrested,“ Rollan commented. „I‘ve lost my memory about what happened there. Gerda and her friends are the only ones, which witnessed my deeds and it‘s the exact same thing as written in the book. I know for sure I will have to pay for what I did as well as soon as someone else figures it out,“

„Ay hijo, que hicicste?“ The mother asked placing her hand in front of her forehead. „You shouldn‘t have gone on this trip all by your own,“

„But I did and this is all my fault. If I didn‘t lie to Gerda in order to follow me to the tomb, nothing of this would have happened,“ Rollan commented getting up and lean on the arc at the corridor. „She forgave me for all my mistakes, but I could have been a better person back there when I arrived,“

Leticia looked at the troll cubs, then Luta, which was lying under the table got up on the lap of Ivan and got down on the ground, and jumped up on the arms of Rollan to gaze at him.

„I need to think very well about this. If I don‘t, they‘ll reveal it on the other hand, they may keep it for them, but eventually reveal it another time,“ Rollan counted making the mother nod.

„Have you thought about speaking to the Lieutenant about it?“ Leticia asked making Rollan shrug his shoulders.

„No, but I‘ll think about it,“ Rollan said walking stairs up to enter into his room and glanced out of the window to look at the buildings in front of him and Luta got off his arms to sit on the ledge to look at the surroundings. Rollan got up on the ledge, then Luta watched him climb up shutters, then hold himself on the engraved wall decorations, then pushed the shutter back with his leg, placing his foot on the edge of the wall, and came with his other leg on top of the small platform. Afterward, he placed his hands on the diagonally built roof and got on top of it and crawled on it up to the top, and gazed at the ocean to see the large ocean in front of him. Luta showed up, then got on top of Rollan‘s lap to watch him observe the ocean. Luta lied her head on Rollan‘s leg, then he began to pet her on the back making her smile, while he gazed neutrally at the water.

Along the road beside the harbor, Gerda walked along with Alfida and Kai looking at the houses beside the road. Above them in the air flew their Swift Branch which was showing the teens their way to Rollan‘s home address.

„Is it just me or are we passing by the same harbor again?“ Kai asked making Alfida shake her head.

„It just looks similar because of the many boats. If this was our harbor we would have seen our ship again,“ Explained Alfida.

„Leaf will find Rollan without any problem. We just need to follow him,“ Gerda pointed out earning a nod from her brother.

„Have you any idea, where he lives actually?“ Kai asked looking at his sister. „Like do you know how his house could look like and all?“

„I remember he said once his room was in the attic and the house was next to a road like this,“ Gerda commented. „I think it‘s smaller than ours,“

„Okay,“ Kai commented following along with the girls the common swift, which at a road junction stopped, then Alfida and Gerda turned around to look at the road leading through the quarter of the town, then the trio looked around to see if they could find the house.

„Okay and now?“ Alfida asked looking at the bird, which flew up at the window, and got into the bedroom to look for Rollan.

„I feel like this isn‘t his house,“ Kai commented, then Gerda walked toward the house next to the one they have found and looked up at the roof see Rollan sitting on top of the building patting the weasel Luta on the back.

„Shall we knock?“ Alfida asked taking a step on the stairs looking back at the boyfriend which shrugged his shoulders.

„Gerda, what do you say?“ Kai asked watching Gerda disappear behind the edge of the neighboring house making him tilt his head in confusion, then she flew above the other house in her dragon form to get onto the roof of Rollan‘s house. Kai shrugged his shoulders and leaned his back on the wall to wait for the sister.

Gerda landed on a cylindrical-formed rooftop and held herself on the point of the roof looking at her boyfriend, which was looking distracted at the ocean. Gerda smiled and leaped at the roof to land behind his back, then wrapped her arms around the boy, leaning her chin over his shoulder making him widen his eyes in surprise.

„Buenas Tardes, ca…...riño,“ Gerda greeted the raven-haired boy, then Rollan turned his head around surprised to see her on the roof.

„You‘re already here,“ Rollan asked earning a nod from Gerda, then Luta climbed on Rollan‘s arm to get to Gerda.

„Luta, how are you doing?“ Gerda asked letting the weasel sniff her on the face, then get licked by the pet. „What are you two doing on the roof?“ Questioned the girl looking at Rollan, which frowned sad giving Gerda a worried look. Gerda left her hands off the boyfriend, then sat down next to him. „You‘re not happy to see me?“ Gerda asked making Rollan wide his eyes at her comment, then he shook his head.

„No, no, no. I‘m happy to see you, it‘s just…..today it got kind of bad for me and I don‘t know, what to do,“ Rollan commented, then Gerda got on the leg of him and placed her hands over Rollan‘s shoulders.

„Did your training go wrong?“ Gerda asked making Rollan shake his head.

„No, it‘s something else. This one guy, who keeps messing with me found out, what I did to you and the others back in the troll kingdom when I was under the control of the fire demon,“ Rollan stated. „Someone wrote that legend down as a book and I found it, worse part…..he threatened me to spill the information of that book out to our teacher and there is no way I can get out of this issue,“

„Why does he want to do that to you?“ Gerda questioned. „Just because you can‘t stand each other?“

„He has family issues and he acts towards me like a douche. Even his best friends gets treated like trash sometimes when he tries to help him,“

„And what are you going to do about that?“ Questioned the girlfriend making Rollan shrug his shoulders.

„That‘s the problem. I don‘t know what to do,“ Responded the Spaniard. „He said I should quit the academy or he would share this book with any of the guards at the academy to make sure I‘m screwed. But as long as he‘s got that book he could reveal this any time to anyone. I won‘t have many chances to get out of this situation,“

„What if you said this was something like a….play, where you played the villain and it got written as a book?“

„Not going to work. I confessed it by accident and no matter if I mention the loss of my memory or not, he‘s not going to give this up,“

„Now this is messed up,“ Gerda commented earning a nod from the boy.

„I know. I messed it up all on my own. If I had picked up a normal job like the others I wouldn‘t have had this problem,“

„We‘re going to solve this together, don‘t worry,“ Gerda commented making Rollan nod, then she pecked him on the forehead and moved his bangs aside to gaze into his eyes.

„How?“

„Leave it to me. I‘ll figure out a plan,“ Gerda commented, then someone whistled calling Gerda and Rollan‘s attention, then Gerda moved along the roof to see Alfida look up at the roof.

„Have you found Rollan up there?“ Alfida asked earning a nod from the blonde. „Then get him down here and let us in,“ Ordered Alfida making Gerda chuckle and Rollan went to the edge of the roof, to try to get down onto the shutter of his window and Gerda floated behind him and helped him climb back into the room. „Transform back and knock on the door. I‘ll be down,“ Rollan announced leaving Gerda back, which flew down landing on the ground and transform back into a civilian, then she got up to the door and knocked on it waiting along with Kai and Alfida for the door to get opened.

The door was opened up and Rollan stood there with Luta on his shoulder, which jumped at Kai‘s arms to lick his face.

„Kai, Alfida, how are you doing?“ Rollan asked reaching his hand out for the raven-haired teens to shake it.

„We‘re good, actually,“ Kai responded, then from the kitchen, the troll cubs looked up at the entrance to encounter all four teenagers, then all trolls got excited and ran toward Gerda to hug her.

„Gerda!“ The cubs shouted happily, then Gerda got down to embrace the boy tight.

„Why did you three follow Rollan?“ Gerda asked. „Orm and your parents are worried sick about you?“ Gerda warned, then the cubs sank their head down. „What if Rollan wasn‘t there for you and you were all alone by yourself? Anyone could harm you and do something bad to you,“

„They were this entire time save with me and my mama. That‘s a good aspect for now,“ Rollan told getting down on his knees to pat Ivan‘s head. „There were days I really enjoyed having them around. They helped me process stress….most of the time,“ Rollan commented making Gerda chuckle.

Leticia walked out of the kitchen to spot the friends of Rollan, then recognized Gerda‘s face and smiled.

„Buenas tardes…..you‘re Gerda, right?“ The woman asked making Gerda nod.

„Si…..I‘m Rollan‘s girlfriend,“ Gerda introduced herself getting closer to the woman.

„I‘m Leticia,“ Rollan‘s mother introduced herself to the blonde. „Mi Niño told me a lot about you,“ The mother commented making Rollan grin embarrassed and Gerda smile simper at the comment. „She really looks in nature prettier than I thought,“ Leticia said looking at Rollan, which scratched the back of his neck.

„Así,“ Rollan agreed. „You‘ll get the time to get to know her better and I can assure you, you‘ll love her,“ Rollan announced giving Gerda his arm, which she took. „Oh…..uh this is Gerda‘s brother Kai and that‘s Alfida, Gerda‘s best friend and Kai‘s girlfriend,“

„Nice to meet you,“ Kai said.

„Sup,“ Alfida added at the same moment Kai spoke.

„When exactly did you all land here in Alicante?“Rollan asked making Alfida shrug her shoulders.

„I‘d say around 10 to 15 minutes after the 5,“ Alfida responded. „We stood back for brunch,“

„You all must be hungry now, right?“ Leticia asked. „We just finished a while ago dinner, but I can arrange you some soft white cookies and either give you coffee or tea,“

„We don‘t want to bother you, Miss,“ Kai mentioned, then Rollan placed his arm behind his girlfriend‘s brother to pat him.

„Come stay with us for a while. I‘d be happy to have you all here,“ Rollan asked, then Kai shrugged his shoulders.

„Okay we stay then,“ Kai responded, then Leticia walked the group into the living room and Rollan took on his arms Leonid, while Gerda took the red-brownish cub on her arms and looked down at Ivan.

„I take Ivan if you want,“ Rollan offered getting down to pick the last cub up and Gerda helped Rollan to lift the cub up.

„You remember their names,“ Gerda commented making Rollan shrug.

„More or less. I tried to guess their names with an alphabet book and only found out Leonid and Ivan are two of them…..if they‘re right,“

„Yep, Leonid is the light one. Ivan the dark-brown one and the one with the reddish fur is Igor,“ Gerda explained watching Rollan facepalm.

„Such an easy name and I‘m so stupid,“ Rollan commented, then Igor slapped him with his hand on the forehead and began to giggle. „I‘m sorry boy,“

„You made it to find out their names without understanding troll language or them have the capacity to talk. That‘s a good thing for you,“

„There I have to give you right,“ Agreed the Spaniard. „Come, follow me in the living room. I will bring you something to eat,“ Rollan pointed out, then accompanied his girlfriend into the living room and sat down on the couch along with the troll cubs.

„When will we take the cubs to the ship?“ Asked Kai, then Alfida shook her head.

„We‘ll talk later about it. We could do it tomorrow or the next day,“ Suggested Alfida.

„Rollan told me about an issue before and I also want to be able to help him out, before we leave in the next few days. I just need to talk with him, on what we should do,“

„Take your time, we also want to take a look around here together, before leaving. We got plenty of time,“

„What is your plan? We don‘t know, where the book is,“ Rollan questioned.

„Are you going to the academy tomorrow?“ Gerda asked making Rollan nod, „If this is possible, I‘ll ask Luta to look for the book around everyone‘s bags and if she finds it, she takes it away. If not, we‘ll look for a plan B,“

„It‘s worth a try,“ Rollan answered. „I‘ll be right back, I‘m going to take the cookies here to us all,“ Rollan warned earning a nod from Gerda, then he pecked the girl on the cheek and walked into the kitchen to prepare snacks along with his mother for the friends.

Orm opened up his eyes, then he sat up passing his hand over his head, and shrieked as he found himself inside a cage surrounded by other cages with various sorts of animals, he hadn‘t any knowledge about it.

„Where the heck am I?“ Orm asked, then he heard crying from the troll cubs and he looked around to see at the cage next to them the triplets held their hands on the grid to look at their older cousin, which got closer to them to check them out. „What happened? How did we get here?“

The oldest cub moved his hand up in the air, then swung his hand against Igor‘s head and threw himself on the ground pretending to be dead. Igor nodded, then pointed at Orm and Ivan, then grabbed Ivan by his fur to pull him up and carry along the cage, then pointed at all trolls and at their cage.

„Someone kidnapped us and locked us up here?“ Questioned Orm earning a nod from the cubs. „Who were those guys?“ Questioned the adult making the cubs shrug their shoulders. Orm nodded, then leaned his head between the grids and tried to look around himself if he could see anyone else besides the animals inside the cage. „None of those animals here can talk right?“ Orm asked making the triplets shrug their arms. Orm sighed and leaned his back on the grid next to the cubs, which also sighed and sat back against the adult. „Don‘t worry, when Gerda is back she will help us out of here. She always found a way to get us out of here, don‘t worry, „ Orm cheered the cubs up, which looked at the cage in front of them, which had a wild dog sleeping on the ground, which was a crossbred between an Asian wild dog and an African wild dog. Igor got curious and walked up towards the cage to observe the wild animal, then the animal looked at the troll, then began to growl at Igor startling the troll, which ran back to his siblings and the wild dog ran against the cage and hit his head on the grids, causing the trolls to laugh.

„Boys you better leave that dog in peace or it will hurt you badly,“ Orm warned, then the cubs looked back at the wild dog, which had the three in sight. „They won‘t get close to you as long as you‘re in this cage,“ Orm assured the cubs, which looked up a little worried at Orm.

A door got opened and was closed fast, calling the attention of Orm, which moved toward the cage door to stuck his nose out and look down at the corridor to see two men walk up the corridor chatting.

„They will arrive on Monday night. The best we can do is to go exactly on this night there to the port and load the ship with the cages, so they can move on,“ A man said and Orm took his nose away, then leaned his head on the cage to continue listening to the conversation.

„Sure, so tomorrow you will inform the boys to come with us to help us load the ship?“ Questioned the second man.

„Yes Samuel. I‘m going to inform Enrico tomorrow, so he can also tell it, Ernesto. Franco will also come to help us,“

„Okay. Shall we feed the animals tomorrow before they leave?“ Questioned Samuel making the leader shake his head.

„No, you can do it on Monday or if you don‘t mind, just give a half ration and the rest you can give it on Monday,“ The leader explained, then he stopped in front of the cage from Orm and looked into the cage shrieking Orm, which crawled back glaring at the man. „Hehe, look at this creature‘s long nose. What do you think? How many boots could be made with the skin of it?“ Questioned the leader, then Orm growled and ran towards the cage to threaten the man.

„Keep making jokes about my nose. You will see, when my friends first see we‘re gone they will look for us and kick your butt,“ Orm exclaimed shrieking Samuel, while the leader dropped his mouth surprised at the speaking troll.

„Trolls really do talk,“ The leader said, then got down on his knee. „Don‘t worry, there are a lot of animals you could become friends with. If I were you I would take this time you‘re in here to do that,“ The man said getting up, then walked along with Samuel leaving Orm back, which sighed and lied down on the ground, rolling his eyes up at the cubs. „Don‘t worry, boys. Gerda and the others will come for us. It‘s just a matter of time,“

The next morning Rollan lied in his bed with a plush bear in his arms still sleeping. At the window ledge lied Luta, which was also sleeping and she opened her eyes, then stretched herself while yawning. She moved her head at Rollan to see him sleeping, then she jumped at the commode to make her way to the bed, climbing on his legs to get closer to his head, then tickled him with her nose on his neck making him chuckle. Luta got in front of his face to tickle him with her tail, causing him to sneeze and the weasel jumped at the night table and watched Rollan lie back again to continue his nap, making Luta puff unpleased about Rollan. Luta moved one ear as she heard someone speak and looked back at the door, hearing footsteps on the wooden floor, then the door opened up and Luta saw Gerda glance into the bedroom and spot Luta at the night table and Rollan on the mattress. Luta got on the ground to meet up with her owner, which smiled and picked her up.

„Hey my girl,“ Gerda greeted the weasel patting her on the neck, then Luta pointed at Rollan, which was sleeping with the plush bear, which made Gerda smile enamored with the scene, then she sat down on the bed and pecked him on his cheek, then moved her face up to his ear to whisper.

„Good morning,“ Gerda spoke, then she moved her head up to look at her boyfriend, which opened his eyes and looked up at Gerda, which sat in front of him and he smiled glad at seeing her.

„You‘re already here?“ Asked Rollan with a yawn and sat up on the bed noticing he had the bear plush on his hands, then panicked and threw it behind his bed grinning embarrassed at Gerda, which chuckled at his reaction.

„Don‘t worry about it. I found that adorable,“ Gerda commented making Rollan smile a little, then he got up and looked at the blonde.

„I will just get dressed, how was your night by the way?“ Rollan asked picking up his folded clothes he had lied over his chair's back and took down his pajama shirt, so he could put his other one.

„I slept fine,“ Responded Gerda. „I‘m just worried about the trolls,“

„I feel the same as you,“ Rollan admitted sitting down on the bed while trying to put on his pants. „I began to feel like I was their older brother when I played with them or tried to teach them anything,“

„You and your mother did a good job with the trolls. According to Orm, the trolls really enjoyed the days they were with you. They never had so much fun, since Orm became Arrog‘s second-in-command and had less time to play with them,“

„I‘m glad they had a good time,“ Rollan said and got up from the bed, then held his hand out for the girl to get up. „You haven‘t got any news about the trolls, right?“

„No, but I had thought about flying above Alicante to look for any suspicious building or any else that looks abandoned,“ Gerda commented. „What do you think about it?“

„I think this would be a little dangerous for you. Ernesto mentioned they had on the day they kidnapped the trolls planned to take the dragon-you too, in case you showed up,“ Rollan warned. „You better don‘t go alone,“

„I thought you would say that. On the other hand, it would be a little odd to be carrying you or someone else the entire time above the sky while looking for something,“ Gerda commented earning a nod from her boyfriend.

„What if you went by night?“ Rollan asked. „Spotting you in the night would be harder,“

„That‘s not such a bad idea. I don‘t think you already know that, but I‘m also able to see in the darkness when I‘m in my dragon form,“ Gerda mentioned.

„Really? That‘s awesome,“ Rollan admitted. „So you technically could see the other night, when Enrico broke into my room?“

„Not really, your window was open and the moonlight illuminated your room a little,“

„It‘s funny. If I had closed the shutters of my bedroom the other day, Enrico would have never gotten into my room in the first place and discover the triplets. They would be here if I had closed it,“

„That‘s silly Rollan, You had bad luck and who knows, they could as well just have entered into your room anyway from above or from the first floor,“

„You‘re right. I‘m just exaggerating for no reason,“

„A little,“ Gerda commented. „Oh, and your mother told me to call you for breakfast. She was making toast and asked me to stay for breakfast with you two as well if you don‘t mind it,“

„I‘d be happy to have breakfast with you. How long ago is it, that we had breakfast together?“ Rollan asked getting up to walk to the corridor along with the blonde.

„Good question. I think it was a month ago. When Alfida came back from her treasure hunt and you from a job I think,“ Gerda mentioned. „A little while already,“

„It is,“ Agreed the boyfriend entering into the kitchen walking toward the stove, where his mother stood and Rollan stopped beside her to give her a peck on her forehead. „Let me continue this for you,“ Rollan asked making his mother shake her head.

„You don‘t need to. I‘m almost done anyway,“ Leticia responded. „If you want you can pour in the coffee,“

„You want coffee?“ Rollan asked Gerda which nodded, then Rollan picked up two cups and grabbed the small coffee jug his mother was cooking on the stove and filled the cups, and handed one of them to Gerda. Afterward, he sat down beside the girl, which raised her cup to clink it with the boyfriend‘s and both took a sip from the hot caffeine-containing liquid.

Ernesto was at a horse stable filling a pushcart with hay using a pitchfork, then he lied the fork aside on the few hay cubes that stood there on the field. Ernesto guided the pushcart along the field into the stable, then got into a cabin where a dark gray horse stood. Ernesto turned the cart up to empty it and took the cart back, then returned to the horse and placed his hand on the horse‘s face.

„Mira Eddie, I‘ve brought you some hay,“ Ernesto warned the horse, then guided him to the pile he dropped on the ground, then watched the horse begin to eat from there. Ernesto took the cart and pulled it leaving the stable heading to the field to scoop up onto the pushcart more hay.

On the field appeared Enrico watching his friend load the cart with hay and stopped to observe him and got noticed by him.

„I was expecting you to come earlier,“ Ernesto commented earning a nod from Enrico, which used his hands to grab hay to help the brunette boy out.

„That was the plan, but I‘ve encountered Samuel on my way here and I had to come to see dad, which already received Infos about the night we have to make the delivery,“ Enrico mentioned earning a curious look from the friend.

„Already? When is it if I may ask?“

„Monday night,“ Replied Enrico. „Around 11 pm we get together at the warehouse and load the carriage with the cages. Like last time, we cover the entire load with a towel to not attract any possible attention from minors on the road,“

„Okay and after we load the ship, they will leave immediately?“ Questioned Ernesto making the friend nod.

„That‘s the plan so far. The soon we handle that the faster we can disappear from everyone‘s sight,“ The raven-haired said.

„I uh….. hope we will have a good night like the other time,“ Ernesto commented. „You know, that no one will catch us,“

„We cannot let us get caught. We‘re doomed if this happens to us or worse, if my dad ends up being caught as well it will be the end of our lives,“

„I know, I know…..Gees. I know you and your dad‘s relationship isn‘t quite the best, but it‘s not like he‘s going to kill you for doing a mistake,“

„Remember the night we lost that red raccoon?“ Questioned Enrico lifting up his shirt to show a large, cicatrix on the side of his belly. „This is how angry my father got on that night.“ „Yes I remember, but that was about five months ago. He wouldn‘t do that a second time. You‘re his son,“

„That‘s what you have been saying most of the times, but he treats me as if I was one of his work pals,“ Enrico complained making Ernesto nod and he remained silent, unsure about what he should comment. „Monday will be a good day for us…..I bet all of my allowance on it,“

„Pray for us, Ernesto. Pray for us,“ Enrico asked making the friend nod, which looked at the few houses that were far away from their plot.

„I….uhm will bring the hay to Nico,“ Ernesto mentioned grabbing the pushcart by the handle and moved along the field heading to the stable. Enrico sat down on the ground watching his friend with a neutral face bringing the nutrition to one of the horses in the building.

After dinner, Gerda was the only friend, that stood back late to keep Rollan and the troll cubs company. Rollan and Gerda sat together on the bed watching the cubs play along with Luta a card game, Rollan had taught them a while ago during the trip to Europe.

„Last hour we spent the time playing tag with each other during the parkour. One of us had to act as a criminal fleeing and the second person had to pursue the person during the obstacles. Lieutenant Roberto had randomly mixed up people so it would be each time different. Everyone would have a different way of leading us to a wrong situation or simply trick us to fail,“ Rollan told the girlfriend.

„That sounds like a great way to practice for the outside. You had mentioned the other day you had similar situations when you ran behind a criminal out in the city,“

„It‘s actually quite helpful. You get used to it and begin to capture a faster way to overcome the obstacle,“ Rollan commented. „Next month we are going with Roberto to a ranch to see ponies. The ones who are interested can adopt one and it will stay in another place so we can train with it together for the future when we become actual guards or better said we got the full formation,“

„And you‘re going to take this opportunity or is it mandatory?“

„It‘s more mandatory if you‘re going to work for the king as far I remember. I‘m most likely interested in staying here on the town or any other one for that matter to work and finish the education,“

„And you‘re still planning to come back to us after all this?“ Questioned Gerda making the boyfriend nod.

„It will take a little long, but I‘m trying to make sure my mom gets out of the debts and I can go back to you when I‘ve got enough money to pay for the way back,“

„And is your mother going to stay here alone?“ Questioned Gerda making Rollan shrug his shoulders.

„Yes…...oh…..okay this is now bad. I…..I haven‘t really thought about that. I….just wanted to help her pay the debts, so she wouldn‘t lose her house. I got used to the life out from here, I haven‘t actually thought about how lonely my mother is now since I left,“ Rollan confessed. „Before I actually thought about it, but I didn‘t realize it was actually bad,“

„I think something that is good about this, is that your mother knows you‘re independent now and you have people there looking for you,“ Gerda stated placing her hand on her boyfriend‘s leg,“

„I have to think about a way on how I will be more often around mama, while I‘m also back with you and the rest…..you know….our plans of the future are also in this game and I don‘t want to have a hard choice between my two most important persons,“ Rollan admitted placing his hand over Gerda‘s hand making her smile angelic at his confession.

„You know I have an idea, that could fix this problem, it‘s just a matter of habituation, mostly for your mother. What do you think she would say if she would leave Spain with you and live somewhere near us?“ Suggested Gerda. „You could arrange a place for the two of you and we all would be able to see each other more often than usual,“

„For that, I would as well need to find a job there too and…...before we would be really bothering with us overnighting somewhere until we find a place to get a job….mostly me of course,“

„Yes I assume you have to…..but you know Alfida works for the king and he knows you well or he knows, that I know you well. When he sees you made the education here you could most likely get there a job or at least be one of the guards on the outside of the kingdom,“

„I could give it a try,“ Rollan replied, then leaned her head on his shoulder moving her hands up to Rollan‘s arm to embrace it, getting Rollan to feel enamored at her deed. „You know I don‘t think I have asked you anything, „

„What exactly?“

„Like how your day was,“ Rollan explained. „I think I only talked about what was up today,“

„We didn‘t do a lot today. After we took your friend the book away Kai and I walked along the town together and after midday, we returned to the ship, and Orm and I played domino the entire evening while Kai and Alfida went to the library or somewhere else….They have borrowed from the library a book Orm had thrown off-board mistaking it for one of those books, which were some sort of satires I think. I don‘t remember, but he somehow mistook it for something else,“

„Must have been an odd book or well to their sight,“

„It had two people in a love square with themselves. It‘s actually quite interesting,“

„I think I‘ve seen that book once. I think in some moments the characters are in the distant future,“

„I think that was one chapter about that,“

„Then I think I have read it,“

„Then don‘t spoil the ending for me,“

„The actual main villain is……,“

„Shush! No!“ Gerda ordered placing her finger in front of his lips. Rollan chuckled, making Gerda shake her head at his silliness.

„Don‘t worry, my lips are sealed,“ Rollan commented taking Gerda‘s hand down, then leaned his face closer to her for a kiss, and both got interrupted as someone knocked on the door and both saw Rollan‘s mother stand there with Alfida and Kai.

„Did we good in coming earlier or bad?“ Alfida asked making Gerda chuckle.

„I think I wouldn‘t like the latter one,“ Kai commented making his girlfriend shake her head amused at the raven-haired boy‘s comment.

„We were going to kiss. Nothing life-changing,“ Rollan commented watching Gerda sat normally. „I guess I won‘t need to accompany you home,“

„Another night, I promise,“ Gerda commented pecking Rollan on his cheek. „We are still all going to the beach tomorrow all together,“

„Yeah,“ Rollan noticed, then watched Ivan and Igor entangled in a ball together pushing down the bag of Rollan down, making Rollan recall the destroyed image he hadn‘t shown yet. „Oh I forgot to show you the portrait,“ Rollan warned getting up from the bed to take out the broken portrait to show it to Gerda.

„I will get you a new one someday, don‘t worry,“ Gerda said shoving the image back to her boyfriend. „But as long as I‘m here and you‘ve got the letters we send to each other during the rest of your formation, you will be able to see I‘m fine. Otherwise, I‘m right there,“ Gerda pointed at Rollan‘s heart making him nod.

„Gracias, amor,“ Rollan responded and embraced his girlfriend. „Get home safely“

„See you tomorrow, cariño,“ Gerda said pecking the boyfriend on the cheek, then she followed her friends out of the room and Leticia accompanied them down to the entrance, leaving Rollan back, which sat down on his bed and looked at Igor chewing on Ivan‘s ear making him furrow his eyebrows curious.

„Boys, what about I read you all a book again?“ Rollan offered watching the two boys get up from the ground to jump at Rollan‘s bed making him smile glad at them obeying him and Rollan looked at his bookshelf to look for a book, therefore Leonid, which had been sitting alone with Luta went to observe Rollan choose between his books.

On the outside, the trio walked together on the road making their way back to the ship.

„How was dinner?“ Alfida asked the girl. „Pretty good, right?"

„That was it,“ Gerda responded.

„I assume it tasted better than mines, right?“ Kai asked making the girls laugh.

„Come on Kai, their fishes were grilled. Preparing raw and cooked fish isn‘t the same,“ Gerda cheered her brother up.

„I know I just was joking,“ Kai commented. „But I was afraid on that day, that you might have gotten terribly sick, than you were,“

„Nothing happened, that‘s what‘s more important,“ Alfida added, then heard someone curse in Spanish and chuckled.

„Why are you laughing?“ Kai asked.

„I just heard someone say something bad in Spanish,“ Alfida commented looking down at the port to see two teenage Spaniards around Rollan‘s age on a small boat getting up from the boat, then the brunette teen jumped at the bridge beside the ship and held out his hand to help the friend up.

„I think I‘ve seen them somewhere,“ Gerda mentioned watching the raven-haired one in the boat pick up a ladder to hand it out to the friend. Gerda stopped watching the brunette get the ladder and point at the buildings across the street.

„You remember the house? It‘s the only one with a window near the roof,“ Told the raven-haired boy earning a nod from the friend. Gerda frowned watching the two walk the bridge along to get up on the sidewalk and go in the opposite direction.

„Kai, Rollan kept the book we stole back from the academy, right?“ Questioned the blonde earning a nod from the sibling.

„Yeah, I think he stored it into his bookshelf in the room,“ Kai responded. „Why?“

„Just asking,“ Gerda answered observing the teens follow their path and stop at a junction, then the raven-haired pointed at a building. Kai observed the two, then noticed his sister having her eyes glued on the teens and placed his hand on her shoulder.

„They must need the ladder for something, let‘s head home, Gerda,“ Kai asked seeing the boys move on and Gerda shook her head.

„I think those two are up to something,“ Gerda said making Alfida shrug and look at her boyfriend.

„You know, what happens in Spain is none of your business Gerda. If they break into someone‘s house it‘s none of our issues. After all…..there are better houses around here to assault, than Rollan‘s,“

„I‘m certain they were talking about his house, even if it isn‘t I‘m going to check it out,“ Gerda said turning into her dragon-heroine form and flew up at one house‘s roof and ran over them, making Kai sigh.

„Ugh she‘s going to cause trouble,“ Kai commented, then Alfida ran along the sidewalk to the road junction and stopped to observe them stop and have Rollan‘s house in sight.

„Why exactly his house?“ Alfida whispered to herself, then heard steps from above the roof and she looked up wondering, where Gerda was.

The two boys stood under the window of Rollan‘s bedroom, then Enrico placed the ladder on the house and looked up at how far the ladder reached and frowned as up to his window the ladder wasn‘t able to reach.

„Looks like we have bad luck today,“ Ernesto commented, then as he was about to leave a little anxious with their breaking-in plan Enrico grabbed the friend on the shoulder and pointed at the ladder.

„I have another idea. You climb the ladder up to the top, afterward I climb behind you and I get on your back and try to climb up into his room,“ Enrico explained. „Best option I can offer you now unless you prefer to break into his room, which you denied before,“

„Okay, I‘m just afraid we might fall and get hurt,“ Ernesto said watching his friend shake his head.

„Don‘t worry, we will be careful. We‘re not supposed to attract people to us, right?“ Enrico asked earning a nod from the friend, which climbed the ladder up to reach the top afterward Ernesto looked down at Enrico, which got on the ladder and followed it up. Afterward, Enrico climbed on the shoulders of his friend and Ernesto slowly got the last fewer stairs up to be able to raise Enrico up to the window, then he pulled himself up carefully up on the lodge and lied there on the side and glimpsed down at his friend, which gave him a thumb up.

„If you hear or see someone, misplace the ladder and whistle. I will hide under his bed and when you think it‘s safe make something like a bird noise,“ Enrico whispered making Ernesto nod and get down the ladder carefully as Enrico got into the room and spotted Rollan sleeping in his bed. Enrico smirked and sneaked carefully at the bookshelf, then began to look for the stolen book.

„Where is that book?“ Enrico asked himself, then he took a look at the bed and spotted in the dark in front of Rollan‘s legs three, unrecognizable creatures and he squinted his eyes trying to recognize what they were. Enrico looked back at the bookshelf, then slid a few books out slowly to check their names, and while he continued the youngest troll raised up his head to look up at Rollan, which was sleeping and he looked across the room to see Enrico touching the books and he got down of the bed to watch the boy continue to look through them. Leonid looked up at his older brother and nudged him on his arm, trying to wake him up, Afterward, he pushed him harder, shrieking him and Leonid mirrored his reaction falling on his butt making noise, which called Enrico‘s attention. He stared at the cub, which sat on the ground and got afraid by looking at the burglar, then Enrico approached the troll cub and grabbed him under his arms.

„You‘re not a dog,“ Enrico mentioned, then he noticed Ivan sitting on the bed glaring at him with his arms crossed. „Oh there‘s three of you I see?“

Ivan growled at Enrico, which smirked and packed the cub by his ears, causing him to yell, shrieking Enrico who pulled the cub tight onto his chest and Leonid tried to bite the burglar and Enrico watched from behind Rollan‘s head a white weasel stare at him in shock, then she bit Rollan on his ear to wake him up, setting Enrico in fear, which dropped the cubs and grabbed pushed Rollan‘s head against the pillow trying to put him down.

Ernesto whistled as he heard screaming from the inside of the house.

„ Enrico! Que pasa!?!?“ Ernesto asked fearful about, what he heard and he heard behind him a roofing tile fall from the house behind him and he gazed back, then saw on the ground a human-like shadow with wings pass fast above him into the house of Rollan making Ernesto swallow hard.

In the bedroom the cubs tried to pull Enrico away from Rollan, the pet weasel Luta jumped against Enrico and got pushed away, then took the opportunity to press his free hand against the hand he had on the side to try to help himself out.

„Bad idea to sleep on your belly,“ Enrico commented, then he noticed behind him the moonlight get slightly blocked and he looked behind himself, then he got packed by his back and got thrown on the ground. „Woah!“ Shouted Enrico, then he looked back at the bed and shut his eyes wide in shock as he spotted a dragon-themed superhero, which was snarling at him.

Rollan had sat up in shock, then the troll cubs got reunited with the dragon-themed superheroine, which embraced the triplets for comfort.

„What the heck are you?“ Enrico asked, then Gerda moved the cubs aside and jumped off the bed to grab the bad guy, which shrieked and ran towards the window, then tripped over the shoes of Rollan flying against the wall and Gerda pressed him against the wall, growling and glaring angrily at the boy.

„Are you kidding me? What are you doing in my room?!?“ Rollan asked annoyed at his enemy‘s presence and Gerda looked at her boyfriend to check his health state, then Enrico used the distraction to push her away shrieking Rollan.

„Hey!“ Rollan shouted watching Enrico get up on the lodge, then Enrico noticed on the drawer the book he was looking for and Gerda flew against him, then Enrico jumped away from the window and Gerda bounced with her legs on the edge of the window and flew against Enrico, which had already grabbed the book and now was under the arms of the superheroine. Enrico punched Gerda with the book and got up, then she used her tail to cause him to trip and he landed with his stomach on the lodge losing the book to the outside of the house. Gerda pulled Enrico with her tail away from the window, then grabbed him on his shirt continuing to growl at him.

„Enrico! Are you alright!“ Shouted Ernesto from the outside catching Rollan‘s attention, then he looked down at Enrico which was feeling tensed about the mysterious creature being over him.

„Corre!,“ Shouted Enrico making Gerda flinch her teeth and raise her hand up putting out her claws shrieking Enrico and Rollan at the same time and she scratched beside Enrico the wooden floor, causing Rollan to sigh in relief while Enrico had his eyes closed shivering in fear from the dragon-themed creature. Enrico opened his eyes, then noticed Gerda had her hand clawed on the ground, then she removed it from there and watched Enrico slowly get calmer from the situation, afterward she packed him again and flew out of the bedroom to drop the boy on the road. Enrico looked back at her, then she raised her hand again and moved it forward to pretend to scratch him and watched him ran away and disappear in the corner of the next house. From the other side Alfida and Kai looked out to see Gerda, then Gerda gave the two a thumb up and flew up into the bedroom of her boyfriend again to spot him together with the cubs, which were in his arms.

„Are you all okay?“ Gerda asked approaching her boyfriend and the triplets. The cubs came into Gerda‘s arms again, then she hugged them tight making them happy. „Everything is fine, I‘m here for you,“

„How did you get so fast here to save us?“ Rollan asked getting closer to Gerda, followed by Luta, which jumped up on his shoulder to fly into Gerda‘s arms to cuddle.

„Alfida and I heard them at the docks talk about climbing into a house with a window near the roof and the closest house here was yours and I followed them to make sure you all were safe,“ Gerda explained making Rollan nod.

„Wow if you didn‘t notice that before I would have gotten suffocated here,“ Rollan pointed out making Gerda nod and pat his back.

„I think the cubs or Luta could have helped you at least out of the bed,“ Gerda commented earning a nod from Rollan, which looked down at Luta and Rollan patted the weasel on the head.

„You know….it kind of was risky to break into my house like that as a dragon,“ Rollan commented. „People could find out who you are, people like Enrico,“

„I know, I made sure no one saw me,“ Gerda stated earning a nod from Rollan, then Gerda let the cubs move to the end of Rollan‘s bed, then she patted them on their heads making Rollan smile and observed them slowly trying to close their eyes. Rollan got up to look around his room if something was missing, then he remembered about the book his girlfriend had obtained on the same day and ran to the commode to notice it had disappeared.

„I think the reason Enrico got here was because of the book,“ Rollan commented. „It‘s gone,“

„I have noticed it. I‘m sorry I have let him go,“ Gerda apologized, then Rollan placed his hand on her shoulder.

„It‘s okay, at least we‘re fine. We can get it another time. Tomorrow I will think about it,“

„No, no, no. Tomorrow we‘re all going to have fun. You promised it to me, remember?“ Gerda asked tipping with her finger on Rollan‘s lips. "After all that we see about that,"

„Si,“ Responded Rollan, then he lied down on his bed and looked at Gerda, which was about to leave, then she gazed back at her boyfriend which waved at the girl, then she returned to give him a short hug. Gerda got up and flew out of the bedroom leaving Rollan back with a smile, then he sighed amorously and lied down on his back again, closing his eyes so he could soon fall asleep again.

In the afternoon Gerda sat inside the ship playing dominoes with Orm on top of a box while sitting around it with crossed legs for comfort.

„You‘re going out tonight?“ Orm asked making Gerda shrug her shoulders.

„I haven‘t decided yet,“ Responded Gerda. „I‘m waiting for Rollan to come back from the academy. We don‘t really need to go out anywhere, Simply spending the time together would do it well for us or just talk. Tomorrow if Alfida and Kai are interested, we‘re all going to the beach…...are you by coincidence interested in coming along? If you do, we may have to go at night, when almost no one is around,“

„It‘s alright. I‘ve seen everywhere beaches, it‘s fine if I skip this,“ Responded the troll.

„You‘re sure?“ The blonde asked earning a nod from the friend. „Alright,“

„You‘re still planning to take the triplets back home this weekend, right?“

„The best moment for me is to go out at night to make sure no one spots us. Also, someone of you needs to show me, where they are or how we should go there,“

„When Rollan is back, I ask him how we should do it,“ Gerda mentioned. „I believe the triplets want as well to tell him and his mother goodbye,“

„Good, then we depart on Monday?“ Orm asked making Gerda shrug her shoulders.

„Alfida hasn‘t said anything yet,“ Gerda commented, then they heard someone whistle and they looked at the entrance of the airship to see Alfida step in with a book in her hand, afterward helped her boyfriend Kai up on the boat.

„We‘ve found a replica of that book Orm threw off the ship!“ Alfida announced making Gerda smile and take the book.

„What you really bought me one?“ Gerda asked. „Thank you,“ Gerda responded putting his arms around the friend.

„Well, I wouldn‘t say I‘ve bought it too 100%. More like we borrowed it,“ Alfida commented showing the girl a sheet, which showed the day they had to return the book. „But technically we will leave the next few days so we can just keep it forever,“

„Oh well, then I make sure I finish this book before we leave, so I can give it back,“

„I knew you would say that,“ Alfida chuckled, then sat down on the ground next to Orm. „By the way how was your night yesterday with Rollan? I didn‘t pay attention to when you arrived here,“

„It was sweet to be spending time with him. Just the two of us alone on the beach strolling around, listening to the sea. It couldn‘t have been better,“

„That‘s sweet,“ Alfida commented, then Kai came along with his painting easel and placed it on the middle of the ship, then looked over the town. „You‘re going to paint the town?“

„I haven‘t painted in a while. It would be a good thing to do now,“ Kai announced. „Any special wishes?“

„A painting of the beach would actually be cooler and different“ Suggested Alfida. „Like not many people have seen a beach and it would be worth a lot,“

„That‘s actually a good idea. That king there would give you a lot of money if you did that,“ Orm suggested.

„It‘s worth a try,“ Kai responded closing the easel again. „Is someone tagging along with me?“

„If you‘re okay with waiting five more minutes, I come along,“ Alfida said making her way into the cabin, then Gerda looked at the town squinting her eyes to look at the church with the tower showing the time, then smiled.

„I will leave as well in a few minutes, I‘m just finishing the match here with Orm,“ Gerda pointed out making her brother nod.

„Where shall we all met later on?“ Questioned the younger brother.

„Maybe to dinner time,“ Suggested Gerda. „Don‘t worry, I‘ll say anything,“

„Okay,“ Kai responded walking towards the cabin to wait for his girlfriend to come out.

About a quarter-hour later Gerda arrived at Rollan‘s mother‘s house, then as she stepped on the stairs she heard someone whistle and she looked back to see Rollan coming along on the carriage with his friends.

„Hey,“ Gerda greeted, then watched Rollan jump down off the cart to meet the girlfriend, by holding his arms open to her and she got onto them. „How was your day?“

„Could have been worse,“ Rollan responded, then Pastor jumped down off the carriage followed by Marina. „Enrico has noticed right in the morning his book was missing,“

„That‘s your girlfriend?“ Pastor asked approaching the couple along with Marina.

„Uh…...What are you doing here?“ Rollan asked surprised.

„After what happened I thought it would be a good thing to have two witnesses here with you,“ Explained Pastor making Gerda raise her eyebrows curious.

„Did something happen to you?“ Gerda asked watching Rollan take down his back and shrug his shoulders.

„Enrico and I almost got into a fight due to the missing book,“ Rollan responded.

„That‘s all my fault Rollan. We should have made another plan to get rid of it,“ Gerda stated, then Rollan shook his head.

„No, it‘s not your fault. I rather have had this happen, than him showing Roberto that book,“ Rollan explained earning a nod from his girlfriend.

„What‘s so special about that book?“ Questioned Pastor. „Is it so good it destroys someone‘s life or what?“

„It could,“ Rollan spoke quietly, then looked at Gerda which nodded and Rollan sank his head down.

„They‘re your friends. Let them at least know what‘s it all about,“ Gerda suggested and Rollan grabbed Gerda‘s hand tight holding it close to his body.

„I don‘t want to be saying all this alone,“ Rollan commented making Gerda nod.

„I help you out, if you want,“ Gerda offered making the boyfriend nod, then both sat down on the stairs and exchanged looks to see, who would start first.

„I had this one book about legends and one of those pages talked about the wishing stones, which would grant the persons, who touched it some sort of superpowers. I went to the Scandinavian peninsula and made my way through the trolltunga to look for the troll kingdom, where this tomb was located with the wishing stone. Gerda…...“

„He met me at a friend of mine‘s house and he told me about the stone and I convinced myself to go along with him there, mainly to bring back my parents. When we found the stone we used it and instead of it giving us what we wanted we got cursed with the powers that once belonged to the fire-demon and the snow queen,“

„The worst part was I was an idiot. I wanted to obtain superpowers with her help by using her, but with the time I was together with her looking I felt bad about the lie, but as nothing had happened so far I kept it a secret and I don‘t remember, what happened afterward. The only thing I know, is that I was terrible towards her and anyone else.“

„What happened?“ Marina asked curious. „I kind of got lost,“

„After we awakened the demons we were cursed and we had 24 hours until the curse would take over us and we would become slaves of them. The worst part was, that Rollan…….I don‘t know what happened to him, he…….the fire-demon had somehow got Rollan on his side and he left me back in the middle of the lava in the tomb to go out destroy the kingdom and hurt everyone there,“

„Kill you mean,“ Rollan corrected quiet at listening to the story. „I almost committed genocide without even knowing I was doing that. I can‘t even imagine I was capable of doing so,“

„There must be a better explanation to that. I‘m certain, that the fire-demon somehow is able to brainwash you to have done that. Why else would you not have any memory from what happened?“

„I don‘t know, didn‘t Orm tell me you found me in the middle of the lava unconscious?“ Questioned Rollan.

„Maybe your memory got erased during the time the fire-demon was in your body or you had gotten it from the time you had passed out for the amount of time you were there at the lava. There are many theories, that could be right,“

„It could even be my fault and I just don‘t remember anything about it. What if I made a pact with the devil?“

„Rollan don‘t be stupid. I know this isn‘t true, even if it was, just leave it behind. You‘re doing better now,“ Gerda assured the raven-haired boy, which shrugged his shoulders, then the girlfriend patted him on the shoulder.

„And what has that have to do with the book now?“ Pastor asked. „Is all that you talked about written in it?“ Questioned the raven-haired boy, while Marina was processing what she had just head.

„Wait a minute…...didn‘t you say that your girlfriend Gerda is the Gerda, that defeated the Snow Queen or something?“ Marina asked making the couple nod. „And that book from the library isn‘t a myth, but truth and the one you‘re…..Enrico was looking for is the same?“

„Almost everything you read inside those books is what happened…..or at least the major points of the books are true. I‘m not sure about then one this Enrico had, but I assume it‘s the same,“

„Woah that‘s cool,“ Pastor commented seeing Rollan lie his arms on his lap to sink his head. „Well the thing of the stories being real, the part of you being brainwashed and all not,“

„You know it‘s hard for Rollan to believe he did that and having no memory of it, makes it just worse for him. I really understand this situation,“

„I‘m sorry I never told anyone of you about this. I was afraid of how you two would react or worse, if you two would find it out the other way around and wouldn‘t forgive me for why I didn‘t tell you it,“ The Spaniard apologized.

„Him having a girlfriend doesn‘t sound unrealistic, the rest of the story does if he would have told it all by himself,“ Pastor added earning a nod from Marina.

„That must be a lot to take it for now, right?“ Gerda asked as she placed her hand behind Rollan‘s back for comfort.

„It‘s fine I guess,“ Pastor replied shrugging his shoulders.

Behind Rollan, the door opened up and Leticia looked out to see Rollan‘s friends around, then smiled at seeing them all around.

„Hijo, I didn‘t know you were here“ Leticia commented, then she felt someone surpass by her side laughing and looked down to see Igor ran towards Gerda and Rollan.

„Gerda!“ The troll extolled getting onto the arms of the girl, which smiled and hugged him.

„Hey you shouldn‘t be here,“ Rollan warned watching Igor cuddle with the teenage girl.

„What is that?“ Marina asked perplexed with the look of the creature, then shrieked as two more of the creatures ran out of the house and jumped on Rollan‘s lap to get to Gerda, with the exception of Leonid, which was picked up by the Spaniard.

„Get in there, no one else should see you three,“ Rollan warned watching Gerda stand up, then Rollan accompanied her into the house along with his friends and Leticia looked around before closing the door.

„Is this another of those long stories?“ Pastor asked watching Leonid grab Rollan on his hair to play with.

„Those are baby trolls,“ Rollan commented. „Or well…..toddlers in some sort,“

„So…...this troll land place is actually a normal place, but with trolls like them?“ Questioned Marina earning a nod from Rollan.

„And these trolls aren‘t any trolls, they‘re Princes,“ Gerda mentioned. „My troll-friend Orm was taking care of them, while the parents were busy and they somehow went as blind passengers on Rollan‘s ride here up to Spain,“ Gerda explained. „In a few days, we will bring them back home before something happens to them,“

„My mother and I took care of them this entire time until Gerda and the rest of the team came. At some aspects I really enjoyed having them here with me,“ Rollan confessed patting Leonid on his head, which chuckled and nudged him on his cheek making the others smile enchanted by the cub‘s deed.

„Leonid is most likely going to miss you a lot, Rollan,“ Gerda mentioned, then Igor grabbed Rollan on his shoulder and Gerda helped the cub up on Rollan‘s arms, which now both were occupied by the cubs.

„Gees how can you handle three babies at once?“ Pastor asked surprised making Rollan shrug his shoulders.

„They‘re so far not as hard to deal with at the moment,“ Rollan responded.

„Are you planning on going somewhere, Hijo?“ Leticia asked looking at the son, which shook his head.

„Nope,“ Responded Rollan. „You need to go to the bank?“ Rollan asked putting his hand in his pocket to get out the money he received. „I‘m not sure about if you arranged something for us to eat yet, but if not you can also take some from here,“

„I saved aside for food, don‘t worry mi hijo. Tomorrow I‘ll be out as well to work at the fish market and I may bring home a fish or two for dinner,“ Leticia offered earning a nod from Rollan.

„But use my whole money to pay the debts. The faster we do that the fewer debts we get at the end of the month,“ Rollan warned earning a nod from the woman.

„I‘ll be back in a hour. Make yourself home,“ Leticia asked getting out of the house, then Marina sank her head down at knowing about the debts of the family.

„Do you need more money to help you out?“ Asked Marina making Rollan shake his head.

„No, no you two need it for your own family. We‘re fine at the moment,“ Rollan explained earning a nod from the girl, then Pastor had an idea.

„Hey my mom works as well at the fish market. What do you say, if I buy a few fishes at the market?“ Pastor offered. „I get it cheaper as my mom works there full-time. Let‘s all have dinner together. Interested?“

„I would like that,“ Marina responded.

„I haven‘t eaten for so long in family…..except well my mom was always here and the triplets, but I wouldn‘t mind doing it,“ Rollan responded. „You‘re staying as well, Gerda?“ Rollan questioned the blonde, which shrugged her shoulders.

„I‘m not sure if the invitation also is referred to me,“ Gerda answered making Pastor chuckle.

„You‘re Rollan‘s girl, of course you‘re staying with us. It‘s his house at the end of the day….his mom‘s I mean,“ Pastor corrected earning a nod from the blonde.

„Well, then you can count on me,“ Gerda announced making Rollan smiled amused to know the girlfriend would stay with him for dinner.

The next morning, Gerda was out with Kai and Luta near the academy of Rollan taking from the outside a look at the interior of the place. Kai glanced at the fence see on the other side all students practice their sword skills. Kai leaned his head on the fence squinting his eyes to look at the students dueling each other, beginning to look for Rollan, which is supposed to be present.

„Are you sure this is the place? I can‘t find your boyfriend anywhere,“ Kai noticed, then Gerda gazed through the holes of the fence to look at the students at the field trying to spot her boyfriend.

„Well, I understand your difficulty in looking for him. Almost everyone there has black hair,“ Gerda mentioned, then Luta, which was on the ground widened her eyes and climbed the fence up and pointed throughout the net towards a teen wearing a brown shirt and black trousers. „Luta found him,“ Gerda warned seeing Rollan fence with a raven-haired student, which got pushed away from Rollan with the sword, and later on he helped the boy up and got patted on the shoulder.

„Good and now what was your and Luta‘s plan?“ Questioned the younger brother.

„First we need to know where this guy keeps that book Rollan talked about. Just then we can move on in obtaining it,“ Gerda explained.

„And how are we going to see that from here?“ Kai asked, then Gerda moved her arm down at Luta. „Well, except for this plan,“

„I already told Luta what she has to look for. Otherwise, Rollan is in there too. He may as well know where to go to make it easier for us or at least distract the others from her,“

„Okay, then I guess she can move along,“ Said Kai, then Luta looked up at Gerda, which nodded and the weasel climbed up the fence, jumping down on the other side making her way toward the group of men sword fighting. Luta stopped looking around the boys, then watched Rollan fall down on his back after being defeated by his opponent and Luta approached the raven-haired boy and stared at the boy, giving out a squeak.

„Hey,“ Rollan greeted the weasel, then someone picked Luta on her back shrieking her, and behind her stood a teenager, which was curious to see her.

„Hey I have never seen one white weasel before,“ The boy commented making Luta growl, then the opponent of Rollan held his sword in front of the animal.

„Watch out Antonio, it may attack you,“ Warned the boy holding the sword at the throat of the weasel shrieking Rollan, which grabbed Luta and held it close to him.

„Hey she hasn‘t done anything,“ Rollan warned as Luta growled at the students, then she got calm as Rollan spared a possible fight between her and the teens.

„You‘re not afraid, she might have rabies or anything else?“ Antonio asked watching Luta analyze Rollan‘s hand with her nose and she grabbed his index finger and looked up at the boy.

„I‘m going to drop her down at water barrel at the shooting range,“ Rollan commented getting up from the ground, taking Luta into his hands, and placed the sword on the ground. „I‘ll be right back,“ Rollan proclaimed walking along the field getting closer to the building, then looked behind to search for Ernesto and Enrico, which were occupied fencing other opponents, and Rollan dropped Luta on the ground and opened the door for her and left it open. „Okay look Enrico placed his backpack at the wardrobe along with us all. If you see a brown backpack with a blue book in it with the wishing stone on the front of the book, that‘s the book we‘re looking for. Be careful, that no one catches you. I don‘t think most of the guys are willing to let you escape with life,“ Rollan whispered earning a nod from Luta. „You‘re the best, I owe it to you,“ Rollan said watching Luta enter into the wardrobe of the shooting range, then she looked at all the present backpacks and spotted the first one in brown and opened it to find a jacket in it, thereafter she continued watching around to guess, which backpack could belong to the enemy and she opened up again a backpack to only find another jacket on it, including a package with cookies. Luta moved on to the next backpack finding it empty, only and she moved on the ground and noticed a brown backpack, which was half-open due to having a book hidden inside it and Luta ran toward it and removed the cover to see the wishing stone looking upside down, then she smiled and dropped the bag and pulled the book with her mouth.

Meanwhile, outside of the academy, Gerda and Kai watched Rollan fly on his chest as his opponent dodged his attack making Kai chuckle.

„Is Rollan just terrible during our presence or is it just a coincidence?“ Kai asked glancing at Gerda, which covered her mouth from seeing her boyfriend fail.

„I‘m more worried about how they all fight without protection,“ Gerda mentioned. „How isn‘t Rollan or anyone else injured by it?“

„Luck or faith,“ Kai responded watching a teacher walk through the students to see them fighting and he looked over at Kai and Gerda, which were watching. „Hey are we actually allowed to be here?“ „Why shouldn‘t we?“

„That teacher there is looking at us and began to walk up here,“ Kai explained then Gerda saw the teacher come up in their direction.

„Don‘t worry, I just tell him, we‘re looking at the training, just play along,“ Gerda offered making Kai shrug his shoulders then the lieutenant got close to the fence.

„Good morning, I‘ve noticed you two gazing down at my student down there practicing. You two must be really impressed,“ Roberto said making Kai fake a smile.

„Yeah totally,“ He answered.

„My brother and I heard about it and wanted to take a closer look. They look very talented from this far,“ Gerda said making the lieutenant smile.

„We don‘t have planned for now to have any kids or classes pass by to watch us, but I can make an excuse for you two. Just follow me there to the door and I‘ll lead you to our group,“ Lieutenant Roberto announced, then walked along the fence and Kai looked at Gerda.

„That was easy,“ Kai responded.

„I wasn‘t expecting it to be easy. Do you think he will lead us to Luta?“

„I don‘t know, but what if she‘s not done and they go to the building?“ Kai asked.

„We‘ll take a look when it comes to that,“ Gerda answered reaching the door, which got opened up by the lieutenant and he accompanied the siblings up to the students, which were fencing.

„Here you see my entire class fencing against each other. Being able to use a weapon is one of the most important parts of our job. I have them all work on their sword and shooting skills. It doesn‘t matter if they‘re not great in both. They get to practice every day here, “Roberto explained earning a nod from Gerda.

„Random question, have you got students, that are like your favorites or out of them all very skilled or something?“ Kai asked making Roberto ponder about it.

„In fact, I do have a few,“ Roberto announced. „Marina, Fernando, Rollan, Ignacio, Felipe. Get here in a line,“ Ordered the lieutenant making a few students stop, so their called opponent could leave and meet the lieutenant.

„Wow, raven-heads are ruling here,“ Kai commented making one of the boys chuckle.

„This is a coincidence my boy. Those five here fought hard to be here, where they are now. Marina here is one of our first women from the newer generation to be here in our academy. Since day one she has proven everyone here that strength wasn‘t the only thing to matter here,“ Roberto said making Gerda nod.

„Fernando‘s father and grandfather are guards from Valencia and he earned his father‘s cunningness and his grandfather‘s fighting skills. Has been training since his 14th birthday with a sword and with 16 his dad finally taught him how to use a gun and now he‘s deepening these skills,“ Explained the lieutenant approach the first boy, which stood on the right side. „Felipe has a great memory and high IQ. His reflexes are quite great for his young age, his only lack, for now, is the gun usage, but he doesn‘t have any problem with a sword,“ The teacher moved to the two last boys and stood behind Rollan and a raven-haired boy. „Ignacio is a very fast runner and handles the gun better, than anyone else. Ignacio‘s family owns a ranch and he‘s able to ride horses, which will be useful for him in the future and now to Rollan, he had a bad start here at the academy, but he made it to improve with the days that have passed by and quickly became one of my favorites. Additionally, he used what he learned here on the outside to catch a criminal. If anyone else here is also as able as he is in doing that, this means what we‘re doing here in the academy is useful, am I right?“ Roberto asked patting both raven-haired boys on the shoulder watching all nod.

„That‘s cool,“ Kai commented making Gerda nod.

„You‘re all quite interesting. I really would love to hear more about it,“ Gerda faked her interest in the task making Rollan chuckle recognizing his girlfriend trying to play as a curious person.

„I could walk you around here if you wish“ A brunette boy suggested taking a step forward. „I‘m also known by certain women as a great kisser,“ Ignacio flirted making Gerda snort at his comment.

„Sorry I‘m not interested,“ Gerda announced, then three younger adults came along to check on the guests.

„Don‘t listen to that weirdo. He‘s got things with more than one woman. Tick him off the list and look for a decent man,“ A brunette boy said giving Gerda a smile.

„I‘m a decent man. Me llamo Dante,“ The boy said and Kai began to chuckle at the boys showing his sister interest.

„Guys, guys, guys I think you are all exaggerating. These two here are already lovebirds,“ Roberto commented making Gerda chuckle.

„Excuse me sir, but we‘re actually siblings,“ Gerda corrected making all guys there sigh in relief.

„Ignore the others, I‘m the one you should get to know better,“ The third boy suggested and Marina began to laugh and looked at Rollan, which was confused about everyone suddenly showing interest in his girlfriend.

„It‘s sweet how you‘re the only one not showing her any interest like the others,“ Marina complimented watching Rollan frown getting annoyed at the boys. „Don‘t pull that face. It‘s a good thing,“

„Guys, guys, please, take a few steps back,“ Gerda asked, then they stepped back in the line.

„Y‘all all going too far,“ Said a fourth boy getting in line. „You probably don‘t even know her name,“

„Right……we said ours, so actually it‘s your turn,“ Dante commented making Gerda snicker.

„That‘s right. If you‘re interested, my name is Gerda and there‘s no need to try any pickup lines on me or any other flirt attempts. My boyfriend‘s here and I don‘t think he likes to see all this,“ Gerda explained making all boys look perplexed at her, then slowly point their index finger at themselves with the exception of Marina and Rollan, which were bewildered at their reaction.

„Uh…..“ Kai commented, then looked at the shooting range Luta come out pushing her book with the paws.

„Sister, I need to pee,“ Kai warned, then Roberto pointed at the shooting range.

„Around the building there we‘ve got a stand to urinate,“ Roberto announced. „Otherwise you need to go somewhere else,“

„Your first option is good enough for me,“ Kai answered leaving Gerda back, then she walked forward toward the group and stopped by Rollan and all looked at the boy in the brown shirt surprised.

„Good morning, mi Amor,“ Gerda greeted the boyfriend and pecked him on his nose.

„That‘s Gerda?“ Marina asked surprised earning a nod from Rollan.

„Yeah. The one I talked about,“ Rollan responded placing his arm behind her back. „I uh…..wasn‘t expecting to see you here“

„Yes, I wanted to…..surprise you,“ Gerda commented winking at Rollan, so he would know both were working on the plan to help Luta. Gerda watched in the far Kai pick up the book and hide it under his shirt, then he grabbed Luta to make his way back.

„ Gracias,“ Rollan thanked grabbing Gerda‘s hand and leaned his forehead on hers. „How are you doing so far?“

„Great,“ Responded Gerda, then Kai showed up with Luta, which nodded at the blonde making the girl smile. „Good job you two,“ Gerda commented, then Rollan saw Kai and Luta, then Kai rolled his eyes down signaling the book to be hidden under his clothes.

„How long are you planning to stay here?“ Questioned Rollan watching his girlfriend exchange looks with the brother.

„Maybe for a few more minutes. We don‘t want to waste your time you have to practice,“ Gerda commented.

„Okay, we will see each other again after my day is over,“ Rollan commented earning a nod from his girlfriend.

„Yes and afterward or even tomorrow in the afternoon we could all go swim together…... Or what would be cool is, if it would be you, me, Kai and Alfida…..what do you say?“

„I like that idea,“ Rollan responded, then Kai got between the two while Luta leaped at Gerda‘s shoulders.

„Hey, I have read that one book you borrowed me. When should I give it back to you?“ Kai emphasizing his question placing his hand on his belly, where he had the book, then Rollan got what he was asking.

„Oh uh…..you can keep it for now. Important is, that no one sees it,“ Rollan responded earning a nod from Kai, then he nodded and turned around.

„Shall we go?“ Kai asked earning a nod from the older girl.

„Don‘t overwork yourself here,“

„I try,“ Responded Rollan with a chuckle making Gerda smile and give him a kiss on his lips and Luta hopped at Rollan‘s shoulders to bite him on his ear. „Luta!“

„You didn‘t say thank you I guess,“ Gerda mentioned holding her arms out for the weasel to jump down at her hands.

„I try to look for a mouse or something to give it to her. I won‘t forget it,“

„See you later,“ Gerda said leaving along with her brother making Rollan smile.

„Hasta la vista, mi Amor, “ Rollan said, then he looked at Marina, which watched with a little smile the blonde girl leaving.

„I did imagine Gerda a little different in my head. She looks really nice,“

„She‘s amazing, Marina. Gerda is one of the kindest persons I have ever met,“ Rollan gushed making Marina nod.

„That‘s sweet,“ Marina admitted, then noticed half of the group make their way to the shooting range to begin their next task. „Look the others are heading to the range. Shall we go?“

„Yes…..oh and let‘s build a group with Pastor,“ Rollan added earning a nod from the girl and they joined the last students, following them to the building.

On the inside of the shooting range, a few students were sitting at the wardrobe and Enrico had shown up along with Ernesto and the raven-haired boy ran to grab his backpack to open it and shrieked as he saw the book was gone.

„Ernesto. Where did you put the book?“ Enrico asked getting up with his backpack, then Ernesto shrugged his shoulders.

„What are you talking about? You‘re the one, who kept it“ Ernesto responded.

„I had it inside her, it can‘t just disappear like that,“

„Could someone else have taken it? Or didn‘t you lose it?“

„It was here before I left for the practice,“ Enrico responded.

„What about Rollan? Didn‘t you warn him you would use the book against you?“ The brunette boy asked, then both heard Pastor laugh along with Rollan as they entered into the wardrobe, then Enrico frowned and walked with his backpack towards the trio, that was entering the place and he threw it against Rollan.

„Oye idioto! Dónde está el libro?“ Ernesto asked watching Rollan stare at him due to his deed.

„What book?“

„You know, what I‘m talking about, you‘ve stolen it from me,“

„I haven‘t done anything with your book. I was out there the entire time“ Rollan told watching Enrico look at all the bags on the floor and picked out one, which belonged to Rollan. „Drop down my bag, I told you I don‘t have it,“ Rollan commanded watching Enrico open the bag to empty it to only see cookies, a towel, a comb, and a portrait of Gerda. Rollan frowned and picked up the towel and the comb, then as he picked Gerda‘s picture, Enrico picked it up too, trying to pull it away from him.

„I told you I didn‘t have the book,“ Rollan warned losing toward the boy the portrait of his girlfriend.

„Oh who‘s this?“ Ernesto asked. „Your girlfriend?“

„Give it back to me. That‘s a gift,“ Rollan complained pulling it away from him, while the blue-eyed boy tried to take it away from Rollan.

„Enrico, just stop this,“ Ernesto ordered standing beside his friend, while Marina and Pastor got behind Rollan, then watched Ernesto smirk and let the picture go, so Rollan loses his equilibrium to fall on the ground, then Enrico took the image to look at it.

„Hey isn‘t that the girl, the other guys saw before?“ Ernesto asked making Enrico chuckle.

„This is your Greta or wait…...Gretel was it?,“

„Gerda,“ Rollan corrected getting up to see Enrico laugh.

„She doesn‘t look so special as I‘ve heard,“ Enrico commented watching Rollan get angry at the boy, then Enrico shook the painting to irritate the Spaniard.

„She‘s the bravest and most selfless girl I have met in my life. You have no reason to judge her or anyone else like that without even knowing them,“

„That‘s good I don‘t, cause if I did I wouldn‘t be able to do this to you,“ Enrico said breaking the painting shrieking Rollan at his deed.

„Enrico, why did you do that?“ Ernesto asked. „You don‘t even have proof of it,“

„He‘s the only one to know about the book. Who else should have done it?“ Enrico asked throwing the broken portrait at the ground making Rollan fume up and ran against Enrico, but before Rollan could raise his fist towards the boy Pastor and Marina packed Rollan by his arms to pull him away from the other Spaniard.

„Calm down, man,“ Pastor said. „He‘s provoking you, so you‘ll get kicked out of here,“

„Rollan, it doesn‘t matter what this douche thinks of your girlfriend. What matters is what you do,“ Marina said, then Rollan wanted to raise his fist to get at the bully, but Pastor used his other hand to pull it down.

„Hey, I don‘t think your girlfriend would like to know you would hit someone like that. No matter how much he deserves it,“ Pastor changed tune looking at Enrico, which was pleased with Rollan‘s temper.

„You‘re welcome,“ Enrico replied and walked away, leaving a disappointed Ernesto back along with a few students, that attended the fight.

Pastor and Marina took their arms away from Rollan, which got down on his knees to grab the broken painting, gazing at it with a sad face.

„Gerda gave me this six months after we started dating,“ Rollan told. „Now it‘s broken,“

„Don‘t worry, if you want we can tell her, what happened. She will understand you,“ Marina assured patting him behind his neck.

„Here put it back in your bag,“ Pastor added giving Rollan the backpack and helped him to put his stuff back in it. „We better train together far away from them. Before they decide to take another chance in raising Rollan‘s anger on purpose again,“

„Gracias, Pastor,“ Rollan replied and the boy sat down in front of him being around with Marina watching him slowly calm down.

Rollan threw himself onto his bed sighing, which the troll cubs noticed, which sat near the window looking at the book along with Luta. All four looked at the boy, then Luta got up and went to meet the boy on the bed and lied in front of his face.

„I thought about telling Pastor and Marina what happened in the past but I was afraid of how they would react. They have the feeling now, that there is something and I just can‘t tell them, because I‘m scared of their reactions,“

Luta leaned her forehead on his face to cheer him up, then Rollan moved around to lie on his back and Luta leaped on his chest, then sniffed on his face making him chuckle at the weasel‘s nose tickling her.

„Stop that, Luta“ Rollan begged grabbing the pet on her body and move her away from him. Luta squeaked and moved her head at the door and nodded. „What do you mean?“ Luta raised her paw at the door again, then moved her paw forward. „I should leave?“ Rollan asked making the pet nod. „But…..it‘s my bedroom,“ Rollan commented. „Or you mean leave in like, I should leave my thoughts?“ Rollan questioned earning a nod from the weasel. „Alright…..You know Gerda is going to be here in a few days. I can always ask her for the opinion. If it doesn‘t go well I can always talk with Gerda about as long as she‘s here, right?“ The Spaniard asked making the weasel nod. „Good,“ Rollan replied caressing the female on her head.

Leonid walked at Rollan, then pulled him on the shirt to obtain the boy‘s attention, then he pointed at the book showing a red-dressed superheroine. „I‘m at the moment not in a mood to read you all a story,“

„Oh…..“ Leonid mumbled sadly, then Ivan came along and jumped on the bed folding his hands together to beg for it.

„Come on boys, I had a rough day today. We can do it tomorrow, I promise,“ Rollan said, then Leonid placed his hand on Rollan‘s forehead and began to pat it. „I‘m not sure about you three, but you could ask my mother to read you the book instead,“ Rollan suggested, then the third cub brought the book for Rollan and pushed it up at the mattress of the boy and Ivan pointed at it.

„Pwease!“ Ivan begged making Rollan sight and sat up on the back, making the cubs cheer and embrace the human.

„Alright, alright. Okay, get comfortable, wherever you can,“ Rollan asked lying back on his pillow and the cubs lied down around his waist, then looked at the Spaniard, which was going to read the book. „Once upon a time there was a young boy and a young girl, which grew up together and were the best friends. Both shared the exact same dream, the dream to become a superhero. One little thing did the two not know. The two were going to become the next superheroes with the help of a magic artifact, which was found years before the Romans were around. Blessed with enhanced movements and various extras both became the defenders of Luxembourg. The mysterious part about this scene is both aren‘t allowed to reveal each other's identities, cause this could endanger each other's lives and everyone else they cherish. Things will get funnier after this since both best friends aren‘t aware of each other‘s secret identities throughout their school life, Miroslav the older boy begins to get attracted to his best friend Anastasia, but Anastasia doesn‘t notice his attraction and assumes he‘s just being himself, but it‘s not the case. Anastasia during the time she became a superhero began to fall in love with Pantera, the superhero she is working with since their introduction, but Pantera just sees her as a friend. None of the two would think the relationship on both sides would get any complicated,“ Rollan readout of the book, then looked at the cubs, which were still looking at him with big eyes waiting for Rollan to continue. Rollan nodded, so the cubs understood he was going to continue, then felt cub he didn‘t know the name climb up on his stomach to listen to the story. „Enough Infos for now. We‘re all going to experience their crazy adventures after all. All of this crazy nonsense started on the day Miroslav‘s found out his father left his mom for someone else…..,“

The crew of Alfida departed earlier from the Portuguese coast and in the afternoon they were traveling along the coast, which would lead them quicker to Alicante.

Alfida had her hands on the wheel steering the airship and Kai along with Gerda gazed over the ship down at the landscapes along the Spanish coast all in front of the ship leading up to the horizon.

„Look at the huge crowd of people there on the beach. It‘s crazy,“ Kai mentioned earning a nod from Gerda.

„Spain indeed isn‘t only big,“ Gerda commented. „Well the other thing here people also there are many people living near the beach, so I can see most of them go there every day,“

„Yes,“ The brother commented. On the other side Orm was watching through a field-glass, then looked at Alfida, which had her eye focused on the front and he whistled to call the girl‘s attention.

„Right there in front of me is a small airfield with only two zeppelins. Is that the one, you‘ve been talking about to find?“ Orm asked holding the glass out for the girl, which picked it up to take a look through it.

„I think it is,“ Alfida commented walking back to her steering wheel. „Good job,“

„Can I have the glass for a little?“ Kai asked earning a nod from the girlfriend, then Kai looked through it at the houses near the beach and a large empty field with dry, brown grass, further on the beach he spotted several men in bathing pants march barefoot on the sand with a man dressed as a guard in front of them watching them. „Hey there is a guard training a couple of guys on the sand…...and when I take a look at them all…..I don‘t know anyone of them,“

„Why should you know any of them?“ Gerda asked.

„Didn‘t you say here somewhere Rollan would be training?“ Questioned Kai.

„Yes, but at the academy, not the beach,“

„Well, they could also leave the academy to train at the beach…..Just one way. Maybe they‘re at the academy,“

„Sure that‘s one way. Rollan doesn‘t need to tell all the details of his full day during his education. He could as well really be out there at the beach training with his group or at the academy,“

„He must be at the academy then or somewhere else at the beach,“

„You know the academy is in the same direction as the airfield we‘re going to. Around the time we arrive at the academy Rollan‘s lessons may end and we can pay him a visit. What do you say?“ Alfida offered the siblings, which glanced at each other.

„I‘m okay with that,“ Gerda responded as Kai nodded in union with his older sister.

„Good, brace yourselves, we‘re going to take a long turn,“ Alfida warned earning a nod from her crew, which held themselves tight on the side of the ship as she turned it around to head toward the airfield and move on further.

At the beach, near to the harbor of Alicante, Rollan‘s group was split into two smaller groups to practice. Rollan was with four men around his age standing in the middle of the beach watching on the ocean their team members swim across the land.

„Andalé Ortiz! You‘re almost here!“ The boy next to Rollan shouted observing the students getting out of the water and head towards the group and pass beside them and Rollan departed along with the boys, who stood beside him and ran toward the ocean.

„Good luck, amigos!“ Wished the third boy making Rollan smirk, then all entered into the water and swum forward on the water heading to a floating tire.

Pastor and Marina‘s group were located a bit farther away from Rollan. Their group was marching with their legs inside the water as if they were jogging.

„I didn‘t think this was actually strenuous than normal jogging,“ Marina commented tiredly from the movements. „The others had the luck to have faced this first,“

„You heard guard Carlos before. This is really good for our health and endurance. It‘s just more tiring,“ Pastor commented. The group now held their hands close to their body and formed their hand into a fist and began to stamp onto the water observing their trainer demonstrate their next step outside of the water.

„Do you think Rollan or the others had a problem during the training here?“ The girl asked making the raven-haired boy shrug his shoulders.

„I don‘t know. Probably like all of us,“ The boy commented, then he looked along with Marina to the training group to spot Rollan swim back at the beach along with another man. „I wonder how of a good swimmer he is. He looks to be fast,“

„Maybe he is,“ Marina commented, then the teacher stopped along with the group.

„Okay, three minutes to rest. We‘ll meet us all with Roberto on the other side,“ The guard announced, then the group left the water and a few sat down and Marina made her way to the other side of the beach followed by Pastor.

„Where are you going?“ Pastor asked.

„Seeing Rollan and the others train,“ Marina responded. „See how they‘re doing,“

„From here they seem to do well…...and Rollan is at the moment waiting for his turn,“ Pastor pointed seeing the friend pass his hands over his hair, which was wet from the water.

„This means we‘re able to talk with him,“ Marina mentioned getting closer to the group.

„Hey Rollan, how are you doing?“ Pastor asked watching the Spaniard look at the two.

„I‘m fine for now,“ Responded Rollan. „How was the jogging in the water for you? Pretty rough huh?“

„Terrible,“ Pastor answered earning a nod from Marina.

„I would have preferred to have this already behind my back,“ The girl commented earning a nod from the tall boy.

„This makes us two then,“ Rollan confessed crossing his arms.

„But you already have it,“ Marina mentioned with a chuckle, then someone mentioned Rollan‘s name and he noticed it was his turn and ran forward to continue the training.

„There he goes again,“ The man said, then stood next to Marina observing Rollan leap into the water, then Marina sighed from seeing it.

„Marina, can I talk to you?“ Questioned Pastor grabbing the girl by her shoulder to stay away from the others. „What is so special on Rollan? He already told us he has a girlfriend,“

„I know, I know…..I just can‘t help it. I‘ve been seeing him in another light since the day he stood up for me against Ernesto and Enrico,“ Marina commented. „I know it‘s wrong,“

„Just make sure you don‘t do something stupid…..Well…. By that I mean don‘t have any big hopes in having Rollan see you the same way you see him. He‘s got this girlfriend there from the Scandinavian Peninsula. If you do anything, that would break down their relationship or harm it in any way he will see you in a negative light and that is way worse than being seen as a friend only. Trust me, I know what I‘m talking about. I did this once with another girl and it backfired. Lost the girl I liked and a good friend. Write it down, I know, what I‘m talking about,“

„Alright….okay, you‘re right. I try to avoid to…..talk to Rollan,“

„You can still talk to him, just talk to him like…….you‘re talking to me. Normal routine conversations. Friendships with the opposite gender are just as good as friendships with the same gender,“ Pastor suggested earning a nod from the girl, then he looked up and widened his eyes in surprise to spot in the air a shark-themed airship pass above the beach to make its way to the harbor. „Did you just see that?“ Pastor asked, then Marina looked back to see the ship approach the harbor.

„Wow, wonder where they are from,“ Marina commented earning a nod from Pastor, then Rollan returned and high-fived his team member, so he would run into the water.

„I‘m back again,“ Rollan mentioned, then Pastor continued to look at the traveling ship and Rollan looked in the same direction as his friend and smiled. „Hey I think that‘s Alfida‘s ship,“ Rollan mentioned. „She has one made like a shark,“

„And who is this Alfida?“ Marina asked interested.

„She‘s Gerda‘s best friend. She works as a navigator and guard at the kingdom, where they‘re from,“ Rollan responded. „She‘s a…...tough girl. Real tough,“

„Okay, then I can say the shark theme suits her,“

„Yeah I would say the same,“ Rollan commented holding his hands in front of his forehead to look up at the ship.

At the ship, Orm gazed out of the ship at the beach along with Gerda, where citizens and the students from Rollan‘s academy were together. Orm squinted his eyes and took out the field-glass from Alfida to look through it and smiled as he encountered his friend Rollan at the beach.

„Gerda I think I‘ve found Rollan‘s group,“ Orm announced passing to her the field-glass, which she took to look through.

„Where?“ Gerda asked, then Orm adjusted her hand to aim at Rollan, which she then found. „I see him and…….uh….“ Gerda took away her looking glass, then looked into it again. „I never saw Rollan without a shirt on...“ Gerda said seeing him hold his hand over his forehead, then he raised his free hand up making her smile. She placed down the looking glass to wave back at the boyfriend.

Orm raised his arm to wave down at the boy, then a few more people waved at the ship, making Orm curious at their reaction.

„Spanish people seem pretty nice,“ Orm commented making Gerda chuckle.

„You mean Spaniards,“ Gerda corrected making Alfida chuckle.

„Makes me think on the day Arrrrggh called the French, Frenchlanders,“ Alfida told making Kai snort.

„Really?“ Kai asked earning a nod from the girlfriend.

„What are we doing after the landing?“ Gerda asked. „Shall we wait for Rollan or meet him?“

„What is your idea?“ Alfida asked watching Gerda shrug her shoulders and look down to see Rollan along with the other students reunite around three guards, which were going to talk with them all.

„I think the best thing for us is to wait,“ Gerda responded. „We should first take a break after landing and maybe eat something,“ Suggested Gerda.

„I‘m in for that idea,“ Orm agreed. „We skipped lunch and I‘m beginning to starve,“ Orm commented making the humans laugh.

„I gotta give you right on that, Orm,“ Alfida said, then pointed at the steering wheel, so Kai would take it. „I‘m going to give the land a signal,“ Alfida stated walking further to the front of the ship, then Kai exchanged smiles with the friends on the back of the ship.

Down on the beach, all students were walking back to the edge of the beach, where they had left their clothing and rucksacks aside. Rollan grabbed a towel which he had his rucksack covered and he used it to dry his hair. Rollan watched the other students dry themselves with their towels afterward he noticed a few from the group, that stood back on the beach talking with other girls around their age, including Pastor, which was talking with a tan-skinned girl. Rollan chuckled, then wrapped the towel around his waist.

„ Hola!“A person greeted and approached Rollan. „I saw you back there in the training, you were really good,“ The woman complimented earning a smile from Rollan.

„Gracias,“ Rollan responded. „I…..uh appreciate your observation,“

„You know, where the playa del Postiguet is right?“ Questioned the woman seeing Rollan use his towel to clean his ears.

„Si,“

„There‘s a party this night and there are going to be drinks, cakes, music and all that. You should come check it out,“ The woman asked making Rollan shake his head.

„That‘s a nice offer, but my girlfriend just came to visit and I want to be with her for the time she‘s around,“

„Oh I didn‘t know you had someone already,“ The woman confessed, then she walked away leaving Rollan back and Marina walked wrapped up in her towel to see the girl leave.

„What happened?“ Questioned Marina.

„You know, she was interested in going out with me, but I rejected her,“ Rollan responded.

„Well, I can understand her disappointment. You and most of the boys in the group are interesting baits for them. You have the luck someone has already got you,“

„Gerda is the only girl I care about. I couldn‘t bear losing her a second time,“ Rollan stated, making Marina frown sad about his comment.

„Did you…..hurt her?“ Questioned Marina, then Rollan shrugged his shoulders.

„It‘s complicated for me to explain,“ Rollan said. „And….I‘m not really inspired to tell you those details,“

„Okay, but if you feel like you need to….I‘m here,“ Marina said and moved away leaving Rollan alone. He went down on his knees at his rucksack and took out his hat, then behind him someone kicked on the sand shrieking at the deed.

„For what was this?“ Rollan asked passing his hand in front of his face to wipe the sand off and looked up to see Enrico, then Rollan got up. „Have you got a problem?“

„Just curious. Why did you come back to Spain, when you have your own life there in the Scandinavian Peninsula,“ Enrico asked.

„I told you I wanted to help my mother out with paying the debts and being here around her is easier to handle it,“ Rollan stated. „I know your life isn‘t going well because of what happened to your mother in the past, but you don‘t need to treat others or me like crap. That doesn‘t excuse the way you threaten the others,“

„I see Ernesto spoke to you about that. He‘s the only one I talk to about my private issues at home,“

„Enrico, I know you‘re suffering from what happened in the past, but you need to let it go and let others help you too. I can help you too. I‘ve lost my father in the past in the tempest. I can tell you how I dealt with it,“

„I don‘t need that. Mostly for someone that almost committed genocide or killed people,“ Enrico defended shrieking Rollan at his comment.

„…..How…...who told you that?“ Rollan asked quietly placing his hands on Enrico‘s arms. „Oh that really was you?“ Enrico asked with a smirk, making Rollan raise his brows up at Enrico‘s response. Rollan cursed under his breath, then Enrico picked up his backpack and took out the book he found in the library, and showed it to Rollan. „Ernesto felt weird about your reaction toward this book and I found it suspicious and decided to take a look at it. Soon after checking it out, I realized how similar this Rollan in the book was to you….Now that you confessed it, it all made sense,“

„Enrico, this all that happened at the troll kingdom was an accident. I don‘t remember what happened there. I was under the influence of the fire demon and this somehow led me to do all that. That wasn‘t the real me…..at least it doesn‘t feel like that,“

„You should be rotting in jail for what you did,“ Enrico commented. „You‘re lucky Roberto doesn‘t know that about the town‘s hero,“

„You wouldn't do that?“ Rollan asked raising his eyebrow.

„This what you did was terrible, but you know…...I have an offer for you. Quit the academy or…….remain here and I‘ll hand this out to lieutenant Roberto and he will take care of the rest,“ Suggested the raven-haired boy. „What do you say?“ Enrico asked watching Rollan growl annoyed at the blackmailing of his childhood rival. „And since I‘ve been treating you badly according to you, I‘ll give you 72 hours. You have time until the end of Monday to quit otherwise….“ Enrico finished pointing at the book. „Think about it well,“

Rollan watched Enrico leaving him back, then he fell down on his butt on the ground in despair about the situation and placed his hands in front of his face. „Eso no puede estar a pasando ahora,“ Mumbled the Spaniard lamenting the bad situation he was brought in.

Rollan ran out of the labyrinth along with Marina and a third man heading toward a wall, then he jumped against the wall to climb it up, followed by the girl and both jumped down at the sand under the wall, then finished the run at the start line, which was tagged with a rope.

„I‘ve noticed…...we‘re getting better,“ Marina puffed tired from the race around the parkour. „What about you? Did you notice anything,“

„Uh perhaps the endurance?“ Rollan mentioned shrugging his shoulders. „Or what‘s more right is the obstacle run and that I‘m now more focused on it. On the other hand, the obstacles are the same so you got used to it on how it works now,“

„Yes they are, but hey you could practice a few moves which could be helpful out there. Didn‘t it help you out to catch that one criminal at the harbor lieutenant Roberto spoke about?“

„Yes, but I feel like there could be more,“ Rollan commented, then watched Lieutnaunt Roberto come along with a jar filled with water and a few cups hanging by its handle on his fingers, then waited for Pastor to arrive along with another man on the finish line.

„Come and take another bit of water. Under the sun right now you should all drink more, it doesn‘t matter if you need to go to pee more often. It‘s the best for you all right now during training,“ Roberto explained watching the students take a cup, then he pours out water to them all, so they could take a sip.

„That‘s what I really needed right now,“ Pastor commented taking a sip, making Rollan chuckle along with Marina.

„We all need it. At least I do that too. I‘m beginning to have another headache again,“ Rollan commented and threw a bit of water onto his forehead to get cooled a little.

„I know what you mean,“ The girl agreed to empty her whole cup into her mouth, then held the cup out again for the lieutenant to fill it again.

„Depending on how I feel afterward I may go take a swim at the beach to cool my entire body down,“ Rollan mentioned making Pastor and a few men nod.

„That would be a good idea,“ The raven-haired boy agreed.

„About that, I‘m going to mention it later. Just waiting for the rest of the group to get back here,“ Roberto spoke and poured again water into Rollan‘s cup and two other men. „I‘ll go get another one,“ Roberto mentioned as he had filled the last cup with water and walked back.

„I have heard back in the labyrinth Rinaldo had found a shortcut due to a misplaced wall, which he could push aside to let people pass through,“ Pastor mentioned. „Has anyone noticed that?“

„No, not at all,“ Marina responded.

„I have no idea,“ Rollan added. „I assumed it only had one solution,“

„It still does though,“ Pastor commented, then Roberto came back with more water and the rest of the group got together, including Enrico and Ernesto.

„Totally forgot our team looks smaller now without the others,“ A man mentioned earning a nod from another student as the team was now complete.

„Yes Juan, next week we will see who else will leave before we continue. Now that I see you‘re all here. I wanted to announce to you, tomorrow at 3 right after the end of our lessons, we move out all toward the beach to practice there on the sand. We will additionally swim a few rounds there, jog and box there in and outside of the water. Sounds like an easy task, but soon you‘ll notice it‘s not as easy as it seems,“

„It is easy, Senor,“ One young adult said making a few men laugh.

„Can‘t wait to see you try tomorrow, Samuel,“ Roberto commented making the boy smirk confident. „The other group is informed and will be present on the other side of the beach, so we‘re not bothering other visitors a lot,“

„One more question, will we be there for the rest of the lessons?“ Questioned Samuel earning a nod from the lieutenant.

„Yes. That means, when we‘re over, you can go directly home without a problem. So I would suggest you take your stuff when we head back to the beach,“ Roberto commented. „That‘s it for now boys, come and take your last laps, before it‘s time to go,“ Announced the lieutenant seeing four men depart, leaving the rest of the group back, then Rollan approached Pastor and nudged him with his hand on his arm.

„Pastor, remember in the break as I mentioned you, how you feel about mistakes from the past?“ Rollan asked making the boy nod. „Imagine, you had done something terrible and…….you don‘t remember doing it?“

„Hmm…...this is a good question…..did you drink too much beer?“ Questioned Pastor making Rollan shake his head. „How long is that terrible mistake ago?“

„About a year,“ Rollan commented, then noticed fewer students pass forward to enter the parkour and he noticed his former bullies in the near and began to ponder about continuing his conversation. „Nevermind, I‘ll talk to you about this another day, when no one else is around us,“

„Oh okay, don‘t worry. I‘m around Alicante or the fish market if you really need someone to talk to,“ Pastor assured earning a nod from Rollan.

„Thank you,“ Rollan responded watching the boy smile and hold his fist up, earning a smile from the raven-haired Spaniard, which took up his arm too, folding his hand into a fist to bump it against it.

At the beach, Orm and Gerda sat together the at the edge of a stone hill, which belonged behind a large coast covered in sand. The two friends watched in serenity the small waves on the water move making a relaxing sound.

„I have to admit, it‘s quite soothing to listen to the water when everything else is quiet,“ Confessed the troll earning a nod from the girl, that sat beside him. „I don‘t think during the day the humans have that much chance to be able to listen to this,“

„They‘re more entertained with the bathing or in hanging out with friends and family out on the beach, that no one else is going to pay attention to it. It might also be a little loud to listen to it when you‘re at the moment talking with everyone else,“

„I believe that,“ Orm nodded, then heard Gerda sight enamored at the sight to the water.

„The nights here at the beach are so warm. I could imagine taking a nap right here on the sand,“ Gerda mentioned making Orm nod.

„Would not be such a bad idea,“ Orm stated. „We‘re safe from crabs or any other sort of animals during this time, right?“

„No idea,“ Gerda commented. „There are worse things to worry about. On the other hand, we could always sleep up in the ship like we always did,“

„We can see that later when we‘re all together again. It can also be each to his own. If some sleep here and the rest on the ship, if it‘s going to be like that“

„Yes,“ Gerda replied watching Orm lie back on the hill and adjust his right leg over the left one.

„Tomorrow…..Alfida hasn‘t set a departure time to leave, right?“

„Not that I know,“

„Just wondering, didn‘t Alfida speak something about a tower, that was located near the waters?“ Orm recalled making Gerda shrug her shoulders.

„Oh wait I think I remember. She mentioned, the tower was located out of Lisbon, but it‘s in the near,“ Gerda vouched. „She hasn‘t actually said anything about it yet. Just that eventually, we could pass by before leaving Portugal for good,“

„Okay, then it will be what…….14 hours until we‘re in Alicante, more or less?“ Orm guessed making Gerda shrug her shoulders.

„Probably around that,“

„We will see then,“ Orm replied, then watched Gerda stretch her arms to yawn and she took out a sheet from the Interieur of her vest and opened it, earning Orm‘s attention, which had an idea, what the sheet was. „Did Rollan send you a message again?“

„Yeah I just didn‘t make it to answer the letter yet,“ Gerda explained. „He wrote that he was happy to know we were taking our time to get to know a few places and that your cousins are fine under his and his mother‘s hands. They even took the boys out at night to grill sausages together. Look they even signed the sheet with their handprint,“ Gerda showed the letter to Orm so he would see the marks.

„What is he saying down there in Spanish? I only understood the second word,“ The troll asked making the girl chuckle.

„I haven‘t figured out the world dulce yet, but I think that means sweet or cute. The full sentence may mean I love you a lot, my sweet love. With love, Rollan,“

„Tomorrow you two will see each other again and you can ask him that,“

„I‘m glad to be able to see him again and see how his hometown is like,“ Gerda commented. „Have you any idea how it could look like?“

„I don‘t know,“ Orm responded shrugging his shoulder. „Must have many houses there,“

„Wow I never thought of that,“ Gerda joked making Orm snicker.

„I‘m beginning to like that on you too,“ Orm confessed making Gerda grin.

„Alfida‘s comments are the best ones, but you‘ve seen her growing up her entire life around pirates, which made her rough,“ Gerda explained earning a nod from the troll.

„Indeed, but with the time she got older, she got…..calmer. She still has those moments, but it‘s what makes her who she is,“

„Uh hum,“ Gerda nodded and lied back on the hill, then widened her eyes as she observed the shark-themed airship fly above them, taking a turn to approach the top of the hill to stop. „Great, Kai and Alfida are back,“ Gerda mentioned watching Kai throw out of the ship a rope, then jumped out of it with another rope and waited for Alfida to throw a hammer, therefore he used the hammer to fasten the rope attached on a wooden pier on the earth surface.

„Kai is really becoming an expert after those days we‘ve been out here,“ The troll mentioned making Gerda nod.

„I believe he did it once or twice before we all went together here on this trip. Just now he‘s more present to have the chance to do it,“ Gerda pointed out watching the friend mirror her previous response and the two raven-haired teens at the ship slid down the hill and made their way towards the two sitting friends carrying a small paper bag in their hands.

„Hey you two, open your hands up immediately. We‘ve brought hot Chorizo rolls. It‘s delicious as heck,“ Alfida warned stopping by the two friends opening the back, so Kai took out two wrapped-in breads and gave them to Orm and Gerda.

„They‘re still warm,“ Gerda commented earning a nod from her brother.

„Yeah, eat it before it gets cold,“ Kai warned watching Orm remove the paper off his roll and took a bit on it.

„Wow, that‘s good,“ Orm mumbled followed by Gerda taking a bite on hers, then nodded.

„It really is. Thanks,“ Gerda commented, then Alfida sat down next to her along with Kai.

„So, what are you planning to do for the next few hours? Sleep?“ Alfida asked making Gerda shrug her shoulders.

„Orm and I already discussed, where we could sleep. Wouldn‘t it be interesting to sleep on the warm sand?“ Gerda suggested making Alfida shrug her shoulders.

„It‘s not such a bad idea. I just don‘t want to leave my ship up there alone. I‘m not really expecting someone to rob us, but still, it would be safe if one or two of us would be up there,“ Alfida said. „You can all be here if you want. I‘ll be up there on the ship,“

„I‘ll be here with Gerda and Orm tonight,“ Kai offered looking at the two friends.

„In case you don‘t want to be alone, I can come up with you, if you want,“ Orm offered earning a nod from the pirate girl.

„Thanks for your offer,“ The raven-haired girl answered observing the troll eat the meat roll.

 Soon all had fallen asleep, except for Kai, which sat looking at the ocean with a smile feeling amused by the movement of the waves, then he looked up at the ship, where Alfida was spending the night. Kai yawned, then rubbed his eyes and looked to the side, where Orm was sleeping with his face turned against the left side and Gerda was lying straight on her back and had on her hand a folded sheet, which was the letter of her boyfriend. Kai caressed his sister gently on her arm, then pecked her on the forehead and got up, then moved further on the sand towards the ship, then used the rope-made ladder to climb up onto the ship of his girlfriend.

Kai looks around the deck to see nowhere around and walked toward the cabin, to enter it to spot Alfida sleep on the hammock peacefully. Kai approached the girlfriend and smiled from seeing her sleeping, then looked away shyly. He stepped aside to walk to go to the other hammock across the room, then took off his jacket and heard Alfida groan and he looked back at her to see her move aside having her back turned against him. Kai smiled enchanted, then had an idea and used his jacket to cover up the girlfriend, adjusting it around her. Kai leaned his face close to her cheeks to peck her and moved back watching her sleep. Kai sighed enamored with the girl and walked backward still watching the sleeping pirate-descendant girl reaching the other side of the cabin. Suddenly he trips over a book, that lied on the ground and he falls on top of the hammock, which due to Kai‘s fall moved up letting Kai fell on his front. 

„Ahhh!“ Cried the boy during th fall scaring the girlfriend awake.

„What…..who‘s there? What‘s going on?“ Alfida shouted getting up, palpating on top of the barrel looking for her gun, then she saw the person on the ground and realized it was just her boyfriend. „Kai? What are you doing there on the ground…...and why is your jacket on the ground?“ Alfida commented picking the jacket up, she hadn‘t noticed over her before.

„I secretly covered you seconds ago before I fell,“ Kai responded, then got helped up by the girlfriend. „The part of not waking you up didn‘t work as it seems,“

„That‘s sweet Kai. You didn‘t need to do that,“

„I know, I just felt the need to do it,“ Kai confessed making Alfida chuckle.

„I see that,“ Alfida commented watching Kai feel slightly a bit abashed. „You‘re staying here for the night?“

„If you‘re okay with it,“ Kai responded making Alfida nod. „Tomorrow we‘re getting up early you say, right?“

„Maybe,“ Responded Alfida. „It doesn‘t matter to me. In anyways we will need to find Rollan‘s house and later on, if we‘re going to get them back, we‘ll need to find a good timing to not catch any attention by other citizens,“

„Will Orm be present during that?“

„We‘ll see it then. So far I know, the cubs also listen to Gerda. To Rollan I assume they‘re doing the same, so far we got this from Gerda‘s letters. The best thing is to see it there when we meet us all again,“

„Alright, sounds easier to wait,“

„Exactly,“ Alfida agreed, then Kai adjusted the hammock before lying up in it, afterward the girlfriend got up onto her hammock too and looked at Kai, which took a look out from the window at the ocean. „The sight of the ocean from above here isn‘t as beautiful as it was down there. Have you noticed it too?“

„Yeah, you‘re right,“ Alfida confessed placing her arms behind her head. „You know, during my entire life as a sea pirate, I‘ve seen many beautiful things around the world, anyone of you probably don‘t even know about it,“

„Must have been cool,“ Kai said earning a nod from the girl.

„You know, in the future when we get one of these chances again, we both could really travel the world together and see what the world has to offer more. Wouldn‘t that be cool?“

„Is this possible for us?“ Kai asked making Alfida shrug her shoulders.

„Not sure how high the possibility is for us, but it‘s definitely a great plan for us two,“ Alfida mentioned earning a nod from Kai.

„You know what? We should start to plan this out together and maybe when we‘re 20 or older we could go out together and see the world. It‘s a good idea if we plan it good enough,“

„I‘ve got most of the books about various destinations. We can even get some from my mom and begin to plan it one day, then when we‘re ready…..We just depart,“ Announced the girl making the boyfriend nod.

„Brilliant, this is going to be amazing Alfida. Just the two of us,“ Kai said making Alfida nod pleased about her boyfriend‘s excitement.

„I‘m glad about it, Kai,“ Alfida confessed putting the boy‘s jacket over herself, then watched Kai took off his shoes and adjust his legs on the hammock. „Good night, Kai,“

„Good night Alfida. Have a good sleep,“ Kai wished making the girl smile and close her eyes followed by the boy, which closed his eyes as he yawned at the same moment to try to fall asleep.

At the outside of the restaurant, Kai sat on the dinner table alone with Alfida, which were waiting for their order.

„Look at us, finally after a long time having a real date together on a restaurant and we‘re not in Scandinavia, we‘re now outside of our home,“ Kai mentioned. „It‘s been a while since we were on a date….I mean only us two. I‘m sorry I took Gerda the other night out with us. I just felt bad for leaving her alone,“

„It‘s okay, she‘s my friend too. I‘m happy if I could help her out back there,“ Said Alfida. „For now on, she‘s together with Orm figuring a way to get him under the citizens without calling much attention,“

„Good, it wouldn‘t be great, if Orm had to stay back all the time while we were out seeing the place. He agreed to tagalong to Portugal after all,“ „I know,“ Alfida commented taking her glass of water to drink.

„Alfida…..erm I know this is not the right moment for those sort of question and I hope I don‘t make you feel uncomfortable about it,“

„Obviously not, unless you‘re gonna ask me the question in Portuguese,“ Alfida commented.

„Why should I?“

„We‘re surrounded by people speaking in another language. We speak another language. Whatever you‘re going to say, they won‘t understand it,“

„Well you‘re actually right, erm…..have you ever thought about us two in the future?“ Kai asked making Alfida look curious at the boy.

„What exactly do you mean?“

„You know…..we‘re soon turning into adults in a few years and I‘m curious….what could the two of us do?“

„Well….“ Alfida chuckled surprised about the question of her boyfriend. „I‘m really surprised at your question. If you want me to be honest, I haven‘t thought about it either. One of the things I‘m certain about wanting to keep in the future is you,“ Alfida announced reaching her hands over the table close to the boy to grab them. Kai smiled at the girlfriend, then a waitress showed up bringing the two a plate with a large grilled corncob with small baked potatoes on it.

„There you go,“ The middle-aged waitress said. „Bom Apetite,“

„Thank you, I mean….Obrigada,“ Alfida commented along with Kai, which said it in another language.

„Gracias….oh wait a second,“ Kai mentioned looking at Alfida, which looked at him neutrally, then both began to laugh at Kai‘s mistake. „Okay I was thinking for a split second we were in Spain again,“

„We‘ll get used to it,“ Assured Alfida earning a nod from Kai. „So shall we start dinner?“ Questioned Alfida watching Kai lift her hand and move his face to peck her on the hand making her giggle softly. „Aww, you‘re never done this in public,“

„I know, but It‘s not bad to take some new steps,“ Commented the raven-haired boy.

„It‘s always good to try something new,“ Mentioned the girl earning a nod from the boyfriend, then they heard someone scream and the two looked across the road to see a woman, which had fainted and Gerda stay there with an disguised Orm hiding his face tight behind a hand fan.

„Is that Orm?“ Kai asked while Alfida widened her eyes as she saw what Orm was using as a disguise and did a face palm.

„This was a terrible idea,“ Alfida commented, then the friends arrived at the table and Gerda smiled a little bashfully.

„Hey you two,“ Gerda greeted then took a free chair from another table to set it beside Alfida, then took another one so she could sit down along with Orm. „I‘m sorry Alfida, my cousin had to borrow your clothing because hers got wet“

„What are you babbling around, lass?“ Alfida asked at Gerda‘s comment, then she rolled her eyes at Orm. „I know, that Orm is behind that disguise,“

„I‘m trying to hide him, can‘t you talk a little…..quiet?“

„If you‘re thinking like Kai, everyone around her understands us, you‘re wrong. It‘s sufficient enough to know he looks like a girl, until we‘re back at our ship,“ Alfida mentioned.

„Okay that‘s good then,“ Gerda said, then looked at Orm, which was leaning his face closer to Kai, which was eating a cut piece from the potato, and glanced at Orm a little intimidated.

„What are you doing?“ Kai mumbled.

„Orm‘s hungry you know,“ Gerda mentioned making Orm nod.

„May I have one of your potatoes?“ Orm asked with a fake feminine voice, making Kai grunt amused by the troll‘s try to play the role of a woman.

„Oh uh of course,“ Kai responded, then picked up one potato and held it up with the fork behind the fan, so Orm could snap it with his mouth, then he widened his eyes and swallowed the potato at once burning himself on it.

„Ouch!“ Orm complained making his friends shriek.

„Hold yourself together,“ Kai flinched at Orm‘s reaction. „Why didn‘t you blew at the potato?“

„I thought it wasn‘t that hot!“ Orm complained making Gerda roll her eyes while Alfida growled.

„Guys, you‘re not helping. Try to remain normal,“ Gerda whispered, then a waiter appeared shrieking the quartet.

„Is there a problem?“ Asked the waiter, then Kai faked a smile and looked at Alfida and Gerda hoping for a save from the situation.

„Oh, my two cousins just arrived, and…..Gretel just hit her ankle as she sat here with us. Nothing to worry about, she‘s feeling better now,“ Alfida lied earning a nod from the waiter.

„Would the two like to order something to eat and drink?“ The man asked holding his eyes at Orm, which had his face hidden behind the fan.

„A simple salad,“ Orm spoke with a high voice. „I‘m not very hungry,“

„Okay and a glass of water I may ask or what about wine?“ Questioned the waiter watching Orm look at Gerda, which shrugged her shoulders.

„You know I think one glass would not be bad,“ Orm answered making Gerda smile, then the waiter looked at Gerda.

„What about the blonde miss?“

„The potatoes with the corncob would be great as well for me,“ Gerda responded. „And to drink I‘ll stick for now with water,“

„Sure, thank you,“ The man said moving away from the quartet, then Orm looked with his eyes above the fan, then back at the girls.

„How strong are the wines here?“ Orm asked making Alfida shrug her shoulders.

„I‘m not sure what sort of volumes the wines here have got,“

„Orm you better be careful with the drink before you‘ll go all awkwardly around or worse...you show everyone what is under that clothing,“ Gerda warned.

„I‘ll hand out a bit to you all, I swear,“ Orm said slipping out of his feminine voice.

„Alright,“

„I hope you have a good nose for wines,“ The pirate girl mentioned watching Orm give her a thumb up, then Gerda pulled the sleeve down to cover his hand.

„Haven‘t you found a way to disguise his furry hands?“ Kai asked making Gerda shake her head.

„No one will ask as long as he keeps them hidden,“ Mentioned the older sister.

„That‘s good to know,“ The brother mentioned a little unsure about the idea of hiding the troll.

On Thursday the groups had split up in two groups and Rollan, Pastor, Marina sat in a carriage with several other students riding on a road back to the next town. Behind the followed part two of their group, where Ernesto and Enrico sat minding their own business.

„Nicholas, Thiago, and Diego already quit, that‘s sad,“ Pastor mentioned.

„This seemed too much pressure on them, so the best thing for them was to quit now. I heard from Thiago already, that he didn‘t have many chances so he preferred to just leave,“ Marina commented. „So far everyone else from our group seems to do well at those tasks,“

„I‘m glad this is going well for me…..I mean us. If we keep up the good work we will make it to the end,“ Said Rollan. „Some of us could possibily work at the king‘s castle,“

„Will there be a difference if we work for the king or down around the towns?“ Pastor questioned making Rollan shrug his shoulders.

„Perhaps a higher salary?“ Mentioned Rollan. „As long as I can help my mom out of her debts it doesn‘t matter if I work at the castle or have to work around the town,“

„And how long do you think you will need to help out your mother?“ Marina asked making Rollan shrug his shoulders.

„For now on, I‘m not sure, but I assume until the end of this year. Our formation is going to take how long again?“

„Three months for now. Then we‘ll be partnered with an experienced guard for the next two, three months,“ Explained Marina.

„Yeah,“ Rollan replied. „I wonder how long I‘ll be distanced from Gerda,“

„Oh you miss her a lot do you?“ Pastor asked making Rollan smile a little embarassed.

„It‘s not the same to exchange mails with her when we‘re both far away from each other,“

„Or when you‘re not personally with her here or there,“ Pastor added making Rollan nod.

„One good thing about this all now is, that Gerda is coming to Alicante along with an old friend of hers, because of the puppies you saw at my mama‘s house, “Rollan mentioned. „On our last letter she wrote she would take a few more days, because they had come to the conclusion, since they were in this trip they could take a look at Madrid and go out to the Porto, Lisbon and so on, before turning towards Alicante. So they could get to know more about where they passed by,“

„They‘ve been going all the way up from the Scandinavian peninsula just to get back the puppies. That‘s quite a long way up here,“ Marina commented.

„Yeah, mostly for….well I don‘t want to sound rude…..house pets,“ Pastor mentioned.

„Well….they‘re very special and important to that one friend of him. They‘re…..like his children,“ Rollan said, then watched a few students get up and his friends noticed it too, then saw their carriage had stopped in front of a library.

„Hey I‘ve heard of this library“ Rollan mentioned looking at the two-leveled building. „This is the one library has listed most legends from all over the world,“

„Really?“ Pastor asked. „How do you know?“

„The very first book my mama borrowed me was from San Martín. The one soldier, that had cut his cape in half to give it a poor man on a rainy night,“ Rollan mentioned. „I even got one cape inspired by the one in the book,“

„Sounds cool,“

Later on, all sat inside the library in small groups and Pastor already had picked a book to look at it. Rollan stood on top of a ladder looking throught a bookshelf and Marina was down on the ground reading the summary of a book she had pulled out.

„That seems interesting,“ Marina said pulling out a thick book, then opened it on the first page.

„What book?“

„Tomoe Gozen,“ Marina responded. „She was one of the fewer women back in Japan to participate along with Samurais at the war,“

„I think I haven‘t read that yet. But I read one called Mulan. It also was about a woman, which was the only female warrior in a area with only men, „ Rollan explained earning a nod from Marina. „There are more young women, that appear in legends. They‘re just not a lot at the moment,“ Rollan counted, while pulling out each book back and forth to see their title.

„With that movement, you‘re not going to find yourself a book to read,“ Marina commented observing Rollan looking at the books, then Rollan pulled out a book and smiled, then slided down the ladder.

„It exists here,“ Rollan announced watching Marina look neutral at the boy, which showed her the cover of the book.

„The Snow Queen?“ Marina read. „Isn‘t that the villain your girlfriend defeated?“

„Yes and that girl here somewhere on one of those pages is her as a child,“ Rollan stated searching throught the book for the illustration of his girlfriend, when she was younger. „There she is,“

„Okay….,“ Marina commented a little unconvinced about Rollan.

„I know what you‘re thinking. I‘m crazy, aren‘t you?“ Questioned the Spaniard.

„Well it‘s weird for me to assume that this here is the truth,“

„Okay…...Makes sense…..wait a minute,“ Rollan asked giving the girl the book, then he got up on the letter to search for another book. „There must be a book about the Mirrorlands,“

„I think you would need to look for that on another letter,“ Mentioned Marina and Rollan jumped down grabbing the book of the Snow Queen.

„You‘re right, I‘m going back to the other side,“ Rollan mentioned walking along with the brunette to Pastor, which was focused on the book, then Marina sat down while Rollan passed behind the friend and noticed Marina sit down next to Pastor. „You‘re not coming?“

„I already got my book, if you find it you can still show it to me, don‘t need to worry about it,“ Marina offered making Rollan nod and walk away to search for the other book.

„Uh did I miss something?“ Pastor asked making Marina shrug.

„Well I still have a hard time believing that his girlfriend is a legend from a book,“ Marina told the boy, which was listening to the brunette.

„I don‘t know why he would lie to us about having a girlfriend or why exactly one of the books. It may sound silly as you say, but he‘s speaking more about this and he showed us a letter she sent him, so I don‘t think there‘s a need to feel weird about him. It could be the case, that this Gerda is another Gerda, which is similar to the book Gerda,“

„That makes no sense, there is only one Gerda in a legend,“ Marina mentioned.

„I‘m not sure, but I prefer to let things be like they are now. If for some reason this here isn‘t true, well we just question him about it and the issue is solved,“ Suggested the boy.

„Alright. Is it weird, that I‘m suspicious of Rollan about that aspect, or is it my impression only?“

„To be honest, since we began to get to know him and he told you about having a girlfriend, you got to see him different,“

„Honestly I think it began already on the day I saw him with the puppies from his friend,“

„What do the puppies have to do with all that?“

„Can‘t you recall that day? The way he talked. He talked as if he was trying to come up with an excuse. It‘s like he‘s hiding something from us. We‘re his friends, isn‘t that a little weird?“

„Well, we just meet him about two weeks ago. Not everyone trusts someone that fast. Would you trust me enough after those days with I don‘t know…..the color of your underwear?“ Pastor asked making Marina shut her eyes dumbfounded at the question. „I‘m sorry, I couldn‘t come up with a better example,“ „He doesn‘t need to tell us his deepest secrets, but I find it odd, that he lies….or seems to lie about such things, that are not even needed to lie about,“

„He doesn‘t know us for very long. He could be afraid to tell it to us in fear we would laugh at him or give up our friendship with him,“

„Look if you want confront him with that, do it…. or do what I would do in your place, give him a chance to open up more. Maybe he‘s got a reasonable way he‘s doing all that, maybe he doesn‘t even know why he‘s doing that,“

„I‘ll think about that,“ Marina said, then Pastor patted the girl on the shoulder making her smile.

Rollan in the meanwhile found a book with the title he was looking for, then he placed it back sadly as he found out it wasn‘t that what he was looking for.

„Guess like I‘m going to read this again,“ Rollan said looking at the cover to see a girl standing in the snow looking at a palace made of ice. Rollan placed the book under his arm and walked along the corridor with the bookshelves passing behind another student, then he noticed a cart filled with books and he looked down at them getting curious at what books those were. Rollan looked at the title and found one under the title Fire and Ice, then took it out to see on the cover the wishing stone and two hands lying flat over the stone, then Rollan widened his eyes in shock as he recognized the stone.

„No…..,“ Rollan whispered, then flicked through the book to find anything that would lead this to the adventure he and Gerda were together on their first time and spotted a drawing of Gerda sitting on the floor looking toward a guy in lava-themed clothing looking down at her. Rollan read the page carefully slowly beginning to get tensed with it and behind him appeared Ernesto walking with a book in his hands, then he noticed Rollan shivering a little and tapped him on the shoulder shrieking him.

„Woah!“ Rollan cried letting the book fall down, while Ernesto flinched his teeth in surprise, then watched Rollan pick up the book and hold it tight to him.

„Is the book interesting?“ Ernesto asked watching Rollan hide behind his back.

„Ye…..yeah it is,“ Rollan responded. „I don‘t…..really want to share this with anyone here,“ Rollan commented, then someone behind him took the book shrieking Rollan to see one of the group look at the book.

„What a weird image for this title,“ The boy commented, then Rollan grabbed the book faking a smile at the student.

„Sorry I already borrowed this book,“ Rollan said, then Ernesto took the other book from Rollan‘s hand, which was about the Snow Queen, and opened it.

„Didn‘t you talk the other day about the Snow Queen book?“ Ernesto asked watching Rollan look at him and nod.

„Yes,“ Rollan said watching Ernesto place the book on the cart.

„Calm down, I‘m not going to do you anything,“ Ernesto mentioned. „What‘s wrong?“

„Nothing, I just was shocked about what was happening in one of those sites,“

„Oh okay. Could you handle it?“

„I‘m not through it. I‘m….not even sure if I should do it,“

„Shall I do it for you?“

„No, no, it‘s fine. I‘ll do it myself…..it‘s for the best,“ Rollan said walking further, leaving Ernesto back and Rollan got his nose back into the book to continue reading it.

Rollan skipped further to the next pages passing his finger over the text quick to follow the plot of what happened afterward in the story and leafed throught more pages stopping on a sketch that showed the entire troll kingdom on fire and how the stone-monster was threatening a trio of citizens and behind him stood Gerda‘s illustration watching in shock, what was happening. Rollan threw the book away at the ground and passed his hands through his hair in shock at what he had been reading.

„How could I let this happen to me?“ Rollan asked himself, then he walked away and crashed at the corner against a student, then gazed at him in shock, while the student looked at him surprised and Rollan moved along, making the student shrug his shoulders and get into the corridor. Enrico came along with a book into the same corridor, then spotted on the ground the book Rollan had left back and he bent down to pick it up to look at it, then squinted his eyes to read the resume.

„Two teenagers got into the forbidden cave and got in contact with the wishing stone hoping it would grant them a wish……...Due to the release of those forces, catastrophic events began to occur around the kingdom and…...ble, ble, ble……not really interesting,“ Enrico said placing the book on the cart, then saw Ernesto show up with a book then saw the book which Rollan had in his hands before on the cart.

„Didn‘t Rollan want that book?“ Ernesto asked watching Enrico roll his eyes down at the book and pick it up.

„This one?“ Enrico asked earning a nod from the friend. „What‘s so special about it?“

„Rollan seemed pretty shocked about something in it,“ Ernesto mentioned watching Enrico grab the book to open it, then chuckled.

„Notice how the first page talks about a Spaniard named Rollan and a Scandinavian girl named Gerda,“ Enrico pointed out. „You know….I really think he was right that one time he mentioned having a girlfriend with that name,“

„If that‘s so, why is he acting this weird? Did something happen?“ Ernesto asked making the friend shrug his shoulders.

„I think I‘m going to analyze this,“ Enrico mentioned closing the book and taking it under his arm. „Maybe it has something to do with those strange creatures we saw back at the beach or we get to know anything that could help us to get Rollan out of here,“

„Why should we get rid of him?“ Ernesto asked. „He didn‘t interfere with any of our jobs with your dad?“

„I know, but I know when something‘s suspicious and no one else does anything he will be the one doing that and when he finds out what‘s up, we‘re all screwed,“ Enrico told his friend quietly. „If you excuse me, I‘m going to take a look at this,“ Enrico announced leaving his friend back, which looked along the corridor to only spot Pastor and Marina reading their books together.https://archiveofourown.org/works/29442912/chapters/74750541
