Me: I want to talk about Louis de Pointe du Lac in the books and how he's constantly haunting the narrative whenever Lestat is the narrator, even when he's not physically present or Lestat isn't even consciously thinking of him, because Lestat is actually always thinking of him and remembering him and using him as his humanity compass, and...
The tiny rational part of me: can you PLEASE go to bed, you'll write a love letter to Louis once you've had more than 4 hours of sleep, I am begging you, your eyes are burning, your neck is aching, you're starting to get a headache and you're being slightly delirious.
Me: but Louis.
Rational me: LATER.
Anyway I love Louis and I love how Lestat completely adores Louis and I love how every single vampire of the Court, from the most ancients to the youngests, know that they belong together and no one should ever try to separate them.
Also Louis noping out of the entire drama with Amel and those clone guys to go peacefully read in his crypt far away from the entire drama is so FUNNY AND RELATABLE, like same mate, saaaame, I'm good reading about it, don't wanna live it, no thanks.

Anyway, I think Sam spends years after Cas takes his hallucinations away constantly turning around to tell Lucifer something, to see how he’s reacting to any given situation, feeling without a doubt that he will Be There. He isn’t, obviously, and when Sam realizes that (and worse, realizes what he was hoping to see,) his stomach plummets.
Sometimes the knowledge comes first. He catches himself halfway in turning his head, and he knows that if he looks back, Lucifer won’t be there. So, he doesn’t. As long as Sam doesn’t look, maybe he is. Maybe he’s being quiet. Maybe he’s watching Sam. If Sam doesn’t look back, then Lucifer is still following him.
(He always looks back.)

Jukebogs (Julie/Luke/Reggie/Bobby), Ghost Hunters AU
"Like every episode of Ghost Bros," Luke was giving his usual spiel to the camera. "Reggie and I will be doing our investigation in the house, trying to capture evidence. Then, our resident psychic Julie will tell us if this place is actually haunted, or if our camera man Bobby used his weed dealer's connections to find another random creepy abandoned house with no ghosts."
"Stop antagonizing him!" Reggie said nervously. "Last time you antagonized him, he nearly made me pee myself during the solo investigation."
Bobby turned the camera around to film his own unimpressed face. "Luke was supposed to find that ventriloquist dummy with the knife covered in ketchup, not you," he deadpanned, before swinging the camera back around to Luke and Reggie.
Julie sighed. She knew the boy's shenanigans was part of the draw of the show, but she was the one who usually had to deal with Reggie clinging to her all night, before ghosts generally listened when she told them to buzz off. Not that they usually slept in haunted locations, except for the season finale.
"Sooo," the cute boy in the crop top who hadn't been there two seconds ago started. "Can I mess with them? Please tell me I can mess with them."
"We are not messing with them!" Another boy in a pink hoodie said. "If we mess with them, we're going to have every ghost hunter with a shitty Youtube Channel clamouring through our house, messing with our stuff. Do you have any idea how long it took me to get that dent in the couch right for my ghost butt?"
"Don't worry," Julie whispered, as to not alert the (alive) boys. "We never give up our haunted locations unless the ghosts ask us to."
"Holy shit she is psychic!" Crop Top whispered gleefully.
"Tell them to stay off my couch!" Hoodie said urgently.
"I will," Julie promised. She could let Bobby know, and he'd keep them off. "But only if you promise to go easy on Reggie."
"What about the camera man?" Crop Top asked.
Julie blinked. None of the spirits had ever really interacted with Bobby before. The ones who knew what a camera was respected his position, and the ones who didn't were usually distracted by the two idiots loudly asking questions and waving around various gadgets and asking them to touch flashlights.
"You should totally mess with the camera man," she decided. Bobby was not so much a skeptic - none of the boys were, they believed in what Julie could do- but he was pretty un-phased by pretty much everything. "That would make a great season finale."
(Send me an AU and a Pairing and I'll write you a thing.)

Recently saw the 2023 Haunted Mansion movie (pretty good, some minor issues but definitely nowhere near as bad as some feared) and now my brain won't stop considering something involving Victor and Alice and/or Smiler being in the Haunted Mansion.
Current ideas include: Incorporating it into Broken Sky, vacation story where they tour the Mansion and get trapped for a couple nights, Corpse Bride redo where Victor instead gets dragged to the Mansion instead of Downstairs by Emily and meeting other ghosts including Alice, Bumby, and Smiler, Alice finds out she's inherited the Mansion which sits near Burtonsville and tries to tame the spirits with outcast, "i see dead people" Victor and helpful haunt Smiler...
Are these ideas good? Idk. Would I write them? Maybe, though probably not right now. Are they interesting nonetheless? I hope so!
Oh no, you've turned into me. XD I don't know anything about the Haunted Mansion movie (I've never been to a Disney theme park, and thus have never been on the ride, and thus have no nostalgia prompting me to see it -- glad you enjoyed it, though!), but I DO know about watching something and suddenly having my brain Valice/Valicer it up. As you probably well know, reading my tumblr as you do. XD
*snork* I do like the idea of poor Victor and Alice of Broken Sky thinking they're going to have a nice day out at a Mansion, only to discover a) haunted as fuck and b) can't get out. (Alice is like "you know, we REALLY should have guessed this wasn't going to go well.") The "Corpse Bride but Haunted Mansion instead of Land of the Dead" idea is interesting too -- especially since one of the few things I DO know about the Haunted Mansion is at one point they had their own ghost bride named Emily, so it DOES rather fit! I wonder how Alice, Bumby, and Smiler died in that world. . . (Probably Alice and Bumby died killing each other?) I think my favorite of the trio so far though is "Alice inheriting the Mansion" -- like, it's after A:MR, she's now out a place to live since she killed her employer who was offering her room and board, when lo and behold she gets a letter saying she owns a house. . .only the house is haunted as fuck and now she finds herself having to figure out how to deal with the ghosts. Fortunate for her Victor lives nearby and has some experience with this kind of thing. . .and that one of the ghosts is such a shockingly friendly sort, even if she does wonder sometimes about the glowing yellow eyes. . . They are interesting ideas indeed, and I'm glad you shared! :D

I had a dream last night where i was living somewhere haunted and the ghosts hated everyone but me cause i was kind, noticed when they moved or did things and tried to see if it was cause there was smth they wanted or didnt like and burned them nice incense every so often.
Then my mom accidentally pissed off the angry basement ghost in particular and we had to leave for a bit cause it charged up the stairs at us as an amorphous shadow blob and slammed a door and we were like "cool u want alone time"
