just took an adhd assessment and... i honestly dont see how this will be sufficient for giving me a diagnosis? i just had to take two tests, one where i had to hit the space bar when hearing a high pitch after a low pitch (as opposed to after *just* hearing the high pitch), and one where a bunch of letters flashed on the screen and i had to hit the space bar when any of them except for x popped up and like... i don't see how this has anything to do with any of the issues i actually experience in my life due to my probable adhd???? like ok i guess it has something to do with focus? which is a part of the whole adhd thing but not all of it? i did take a (very brief) adhd questionnaire as one of my intake forms before seeing this psych for the first time but that wasn't part of the assessment itself but even that (which was only like. 15 questions? maybe?) seemed like it had more to do with how i experience adhd

a bit late to answer this, but i got here eventually. unfortunately i cant show much of my latest work because ✨spoilers✨ but I'm working on my first ever commission piece!

i have shown sneak peeks of my work before but an issue with me is that if i post something I'll consider it done. or like, if i close the canvas? it's a finished project, I'll never go back to it again. so i try to finish my works before showing them to anyone because otherwise I'll never finish them, if that makes sense

also, sneak peaks are only fun for harder, more time consuming things.

Results of the Big Dracula Daily Fandom Questionnaire

I analysed the results and will post them in two parts, because it is a bit much. I'll try to be brief, and if you have any questions, let me know.

Note: the layout isn't perfect and the language isn't scientific.

Most of us did not know the story or couldn’t remember it very well (62%). Thankfully, 38% of us did know the story, and a few of those have volunteered their knowledge to the rest plenty of times.

37% of the bookclub subscribed to Dracula Daily “before it was cool” (in april or earlier). These early adapters paved the way for the 51% of people who subscribed in May. During Jonathan’s crescendoing despair in June, another 5% of people subscribed. 4% of our bookclub didn’t subscribe to the emails at all.

Most of us (75%) read every entry. We scored an average of 6.4/7 on a scale of “none” to “every entry”.

When they submitted their answers to this questionnaire, 22% of participants were behind on the emails, whether it was one day or five months.

It wasn’t out of the ordinary to get behind on the emails. Only 19% of people never got behind. 38% got pretty far behind (scoring 4/7 or higher), but most people (44%) got only a little behind (scoring 2 or 3 out of 7).

86% of the bookclub read the majority of the entries from their emails, the way god (or Matt) intended. Only 2% read them on the substack website, and even less used other means.

Another measure for the hipsters: only 12% of the bookclub liked the book Dracula (1897) before it was cool. The rest of us (88%) were new to the fandom.

Out of the participants, 28% created content, whether it were jokes/memes, analysis posts, or making fanart, etc, and many of us enjoyed the content made by others (55%). Only 2% did not participate at all.

Out of the content created, we loved the jokes and memes the most (19%). We also loved learning more background information about the book (11%) and reading analysis posts (10%).

It wasn’t just the fandom that made Dracula Daily a succes; the characters and the story were a big part of it too (20%), and the way Mina and Matt worked together to make the entries chronological also helped (11%).

How many hours do you sleep per night?

How many hours are enough to get through the day and how many are a lot for your standard?

Is caffein (in any form) part of your morning routine or your 'last resort'?

On my current uni Schedule five is plenty, and is pretty standard. I only sleep in if I am sad or consciously choosing to have a lazy day.

Caffeine is somewhat of a personal rule, I do not drink coffee and only occasionally have caffeinated tea. I get extremely hyper active.

the last time I did consume a hell of a lot of caffeine, I was up from 9-9 and had an awful crash where I passed out on the couch for a full day. Even after that I felt sluggish and sad.

Everyone tells me my sleeping and art habits will lead me to caffeine addiction but so far it's skipped over me
