Corinne hadn’t read it in its entirety yet, but not because of lack of interest. Rather, it was a lack of time. Between grading papers, creating the curriculum for the coming week, and meetings with parents, she’d barely had time for herself, let alone an entire book. Now, with Halloween passed and Christmas around the corner, the book had been relegated back to the Best Seller’s shelf, still prominent but making room for more holiday-appropriate reads. 

        She reaches out, plucking the book from the shelf they were both standing at. ❝  I started reading it a few weeks ago. I’m only a few chapters in.  ❞  Her thumb slips beneath the cover, flipping it open to the inside flap. For a few moments, there is silence as she scans the summary. hired at Garreg Mach Monastery as a professor ( switching between Sword, Reason, and Flying classes ) and a dutiful church attendant, Zelphia arrives in Fódlan to shatter the unity of the Church of Seiros. with every crack of doubt created, she hopes to engrain the teachings of the Fell Dragon into the young minds of her students; to start their conquest over in a new continent.

having been brought back, Zephia has recognized her prior relationship with the Four Hounds as the kind of love she's fought so hard for. however, the effect this will have on her IC will be gradual. her detachment and independence from Lord Sombron as her utmost priority upon realizing that she can successfully create pawns to unconditionally love her is another factor I hope to explore with time. this is not to say that she does not / will not still support Sombron's cause.

also, in the case that it must be stated, Zephia is not a friendly or kind-hearted muse. none of her intentions are, in the slightest, of goodwill. there are plenty of boundaries that she will purposefully cross without apologizing and social standards she will break. Zephia is a bad person that will not be redeemed on this blog. just let it be known that I do not agree or condone her actions or morals.

because of how often she was near / learned of the Emblems and had a hand on them at some point, Zephia will mistake some muses in the monastery for their Emblem alternates. of course, this will be one-sided and not reciprocated.

as Zelestia is Zephia's alternate, I am beyond open to writing her for little AU / split interactions that are not set in the timeline of current Fódlan. depending on certain prompts / ask memes, Zelestia will be substituted instead of Zephia for a more fitting response. this substitution will be less than the amount I write Zephia since her alternate is not the muse I applied for.

as stated in the handbook, i prefer to use the chinese dub for kaeya's characterization though i will likely compare it to english & japanese dubs for nuance. though i play the game in english, my preference differs.

a slightly major difference, to me, between the dubs is that, unlike in the english & japanese versions, kaeya sounds more similar to a teasing, older brother figure that you know nothing of, rather than the handsome mysterious companion that i'm familiar with as an english-player. ( though this isn't to say that he isn't a handsome mysterious companion of ours. it's simply a matter of how heavy one mood is compared to the other. ) his inflection is different between performances, of course, but i rather enjoy the tone SUN YE chose to use in his. thus, my kaeya will be written with such.

last canon appearance is, correct me if i'm wrong: version 3.8, secret summer paradise, thus he will be written as of then!

though i keep a document on all muse-related dialogue & information that is constantly updating, i have yet to fully make my document relating to khaenri'ah. so, if you see me yapping incorrectly and want to politely vibe check me, please do! i welcome all vibe checks.

though kaeya's application was written exactly one month ago, i did not expect to write him and, thus, am a bit shy about how i may portray him. this is simply to say that, yes, i will make mistakes, so please be patient with me.

patience, too, comes with shipping. while kaeya is friendly, his ability to recognize certain bonds as real will come late and in due time as a result of his distrust in the world & and himself. while i'm open to shipping romantically, i'll be leaving that to ooc discussions before anything is incorporated on the dash. likewise, my headcanon of kaeya being demiromantic will swiftly be realized, as romance is a wary concept to him.

hired at Garreg Mach Monastery as a counselor ( for the youth and seeking / troubled families ) and a dutiful church attendant, Eremiya arrives in Fodlan for a reason unknown to herself. though her heart yearns for salvation in the light of the archbishop; she is a monster that has not been declawed; the voice of Gharnef demands a second chance from his puppeteer. in the conquest of what? that, she does not know.

though the curse of corruption has been lifted from her mind, Eremiya is not a better person and, likely, will not be for a long time. the duration of Gharnef's hold on her has left a heavy impact on her physically, mentally, and emotionally. she does not understand the weight of her past actions, and after being alienated from the people she once loved, will not know how to fit herself within a community. her words are venomous and there is no denying the disdain she holds for everyone around her. let it be known that the development I have planned for Eremiya is based on time and will only be seen IC gradually.

likewise, Eremiya is a villain that will not be redeemed on this blog. I do not like how her character was handled in NMotE and, in the hopes of writing her properly, will not shine a light on the crimes she's committed despite the misfortune that was her backstory. I do not believe that Eremiya is a good person and would rather forgo any discussions on her "actually deserving more sympathy" or "needing to be treated more kindly". ( re; you being hurt in the past does not mean you can hurt people later and not face repercussions. does not matter if you were brainwashed or corrupted. ) this will be elaborated on in future meta and headcanon posts.

last but not least, for mxy there’s something in with works with @dreams-of-fate’s li jing. and there’s a tragic romance with nhs ( @bastrdmen ) that is a game of ‘will they or won’t they’ when mxy returns post canon. mxy keeps raking nhs over the coals and it’s lowkey great.

➤   it’s all about the chemistry. we have to write together first and see how/if our characters click. even when it comes to otps, there’s different interpretations of characters, so just because you may play the other half of an otp doesn’t necessarily mean things are going to work out! the chemistry between characters HAS to be there. I personally can’t *just* plot out a ship. there has to be a decent amount of interaction first.

The frozen shield it had provided to her and her sudden companion had prevented the stray monster from doing far more damage against them than it should have been capable of. As the last vestiges of the Fragmentum disappeared, so did the translucent ice shield. The battle was over, yet Corinne's worry did not quite dissipate. Although she trusted the Silvermane guards to keep everyone safe, it was hard not to wonder how they were truly faring when Fragmentum like this one slipped past their radar into the city of Belobog proper. As it stood, they were lucky no civilians were injured.

Her mood was already soured prior to running into Marinette. It wasn't even the humiliation of her defeat as Miracle Queen that had set her off; no, it was the notion that Ladybug was never going to give her the bee Miraculous again. The notion that Ladybug, someone she had admired and been a fan of, didn't trust her with it. Quite literally running into Marinette Dupain-Cheng just hours after the battle, was simply a stroke of bad luck. Marinette, with her ridiculously clumsy ways and downright embarrassing lack of conversation skills — and yet everyone in their class seemed to adore her. It didn't make any sense!

Zero’s —  ❞ There was a noticeable pause as she struggled to finish that sentence. What was she supposed to say? Hey, I’m your boyfriend’s latest fixation? Did you know he kidnapped me? I’m here. I exist. See me. Help me. Maybe he knew that. Maybe she wasn’t a stranger to him at all and she was setting herself up for a disaster. A quick death.

        In the back of her mind, she recalled something Zero had said. I have plenty of friends. Friends. Safe. Neutral. She doesn’t have to be in danger. Not yet. She cleared her throat. ❝  Sorry — I’m Zero’s friend.  ❞

When the droplets came, turning quickly and suddenly into a downpour, she’d been silently grateful to have been prepared. Others, she noted, were not so lucky. She watched as other people ran for cover under shop awnings and inside little cafes and took notice that one of those individuals looked familiar. Certainly someone she had seen at Auradon Prep. Then she remembered.
