portrayal notes.

as stated in the handbook, i prefer to use the chinese dub for kaeya's characterization though i will likely compare it to english & japanese dubs for nuance. though i play the game in english, my preference differs.

a slightly major difference, to me, between the dubs is that, unlike in the english & japanese versions, kaeya sounds more similar to a teasing, older brother figure that you know nothing of, rather than the handsome mysterious companion that i'm familiar with as an english-player. ( though this isn't to say that he isn't a handsome mysterious companion of ours. it's simply a matter of how heavy one mood is compared to the other. ) his inflection is different between performances, of course, but i rather enjoy the tone SUN YE chose to use in his. thus, my kaeya will be written with such.

last canon appearance is, correct me if i'm wrong: version 3.8, secret summer paradise, thus he will be written as of then!

though i keep a document on all muse-related dialogue & information that is constantly updating, i have yet to fully make my document relating to khaenri'ah. so, if you see me yapping incorrectly and want to politely vibe check me, please do! i welcome all vibe checks.

though kaeya's application was written exactly one month ago, i did not expect to write him and, thus, am a bit shy about how i may portray him. this is simply to say that, yes, i will make mistakes, so please be patient with me.

patience, too, comes with shipping. while kaeya is friendly, his ability to recognize certain bonds as real will come late and in due time as a result of his distrust in the world & and himself. while i'm open to shipping romantically, i'll be leaving that to ooc discussions before anything is incorporated on the dash. likewise, my headcanon of kaeya being demiromantic will swiftly be realized, as romance is a wary concept to him.

suguru has a certain cruelty about him. on the surface, he appears as a calm, alluring young man, quick with his well-thought-out words and adept in wriggling a path amidst your thoughts. it takes a careful eye to notice his subtle expression changes—small tells that crumble his nonchalant facade. a twitch at the corner of his smile, the slightest quirk of a brow, the darkness spreading in gleaming eyes. he enjoys being cruel.

“ah, ah.”, suguru directs a dangerous smile towards satoru on the other side of the bed. “didn’t i tell you not to touch?”

“b—but, suguru—“

“look at him misbehaving.” there’s a gentle caress over your sweaty, trembling thigh, the coolness of his fingers sending a shiver throughout your body. “you’d think he would have learned, by now. being stubborn is why he’s being punished, after all.”

it’s unclear how you got caught up in the middle of all this. suguru led you on like this was going to be regular sex, not a torture session for your third partner.

satoru exhales a needy moan between his teeth, sunken into his bottom lip. a hand creeps towards you, closer and closer, though not daring to actually make any contact.

even through doubled vision, satoru’s state is clear: the unsteadiness of his fingertips, redness of his face that matches his stiffened cock, one he’s pumping relentlessly at the sight of suguru folding you in half.

Can’t sleep. Thinking about the fact that one of the symptoms of Kharaa is increased aggression. And how that would’ve affected the Architects considering their minds are all networked. I don’t think they’re above experiencing this symptom, especially with the whole point of their story sort of being that they were wrong to think themselves capable of fighting nature itself, and what happened with Kharaa being sort of the manifestation of that in a way.

But I wonder if they could all feel each others’ pain. I wonder if each of them could feel the network as a whole getting angrier and more desperate around them as the infection spread. I wonder if that’s why the Sea Emperor couldn’t break through and communicate with them. The Architects’ own telepathy just being too loud and chaotic with the state the network was in.

I wonder if the network’s growing aggression singled out and targeted Al-An, when he was supposed to be developing a cure, he was supposed to save them; instead he disobeyed the collective, betrayed them, and set back their progress finding a cure. I wonder how often they reminded him of that.

I wonder if he heard their voices, felt their anger towards him. He was such an easy target for the heightened aggression Kharaa left them with. What was he hearing over the network as he tried to fix his mistake? As the Warpers were created? As the Sea Emperor fetus was dissected?

I wonder if he felt the progression of the infection in other Architects through the network billions of times over before his own body began to develop those tell-tale green blisters, signifying he didn’t have long.

I wonder if it was almost a relief for Al-An to be put into storage, not able to hear them anymore. Not able to notice as the network goes from unusually uproarious compared to the usual order… to silencing almost completely as his species slowly died off… only echos of familiar harmonies remaining.

PSA to those interested in DPxDC Crossover Content

Reminder that, as per the Danny Phantom x DC discord stated rules, the official tag that the crossover fandom operates under is DPxDC with NO spaces. This is because Tumblr filters do a bad job when it comes to spaces and often get confused.

If you wish to participate in the dpxdc fandom, please tag all your content accordingly, and DPxDC server mods have advised people to avoid using the DC tag and the Danny Phantom tag. This is because the dpxdc fandom entirely overpowers the danny phantom fandom in sheer numbers alone, and it is in fact so big with so much lore that it's really a separate entity from both DP and DC. And tagging properly reduces unwanted flooding to the separate fandoms.
