Video shows Florida deputy saving a baby who was trapped in a car after a fatal crash

The mom and the two kids are hopefully going to be OK, no thanks to the motorcyclist who slammed into their car at 100 mph or faster, getting his body wedged into the rear window of the driver’s side, and dying more or less instantly, I'd wager.

You can imagine what a wreck the car was, and the motorcyclist's body was partly on top of the baby, named Lola. Mom kept her wits about her enough to lay on the horn for help until Charlotte County Deputy Sgt. Dave Musgrove arrived on the scene.

Musgrove got the three-year-old, Ariel, out of the car first and flagged down another car to hold the child so he could save the baby. More people stopped, helping Musgrove remove the body and free Lola.

Video shows Musgrove quickly beginning chest compressions on Lola's tiny body until she began to breathe again. Emergency medical services then arrived and continued lifesaving treatment, before confirming they detected a pulse.

She's still in intensive care with a brain injury.

"I lost my fiancé six months ago, so what was going through my head was, 'I can't lose anybody else,'" Kayleigh Foley [the mom] said in the interview from the hospital, where Lola was recovering. "[Sgt. Musgrove] is such a genuine person and you can't teach that in the police academy."

Kayleigh also said, "The first thing he said to me, he said, 'I really hate all that recognition; I was doing my job.' I said, 'Too bad, buddy, you're getting it.'"

Here's the kicker: "Since the crash, Musgrove has called daily to check on Lola."

4. what was the last straw that made you finally block that annoying person?

I've blocked so many people, but two stand out to me. One was a blog dedicated to sharing other people's COD headcanons, but all of the headcanons were so unhinged and made no sense. It was genuinely pissing me off seeing them on my "for you" tab (that tab is hell btw), so I blocked them even if I had no personal beef with them. Another was someone who was just posting endless, multiple smut fics of König every day. I just could not. König fics in general are excessively dark and strangely animalistic and I just hate seeing so much of it.

16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)

Ok I could write a book answering this question. First, I don't get the trope of Price f*cking his subordinate(s) (and usually very violently/grotesquely) out of nowhere or like "in his office"?? Not an accurate characterization of him and also like... what the fuck, that's very strange. On that note, also any fic that's like "they were in the middle of hiding from an army in the middle of nowhere and [character] and reader started fucking." Like, bffr. No one's gonna do that shit. A trope I also don't understand is the professor x student trope. It makes me want to rip my face off. I'm actually a postgraduate student and sexual harassment is rampant in academia, especially with professors preying on vulnerable master's and doctoral students. And I see a lot of people place Price as the professor and a reader or an OC as a student and I am so nauseous just thinking about it. That imbalance of power in both scenarios is just something I will never be okay with. Also I ranted about this before, but I don't understand the Shepherd/Adler being Graves's biological father headcanon. Doesn't make any sense. The timelines don't add up and there's nothing connecting these characters in that way. And as a bonus, I don't understand any of the characterizations for König that this fandom comes up with because who even is he.

22. your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores

Especially from playing "All Ghillied Up" in the original series, I really wish more people thought about Price's younger days with Captain MacMillan. I wish more people explored that relationship, and Price's earlier history and how came to be who he is as a captain. But I also hope they don't because fans on tumblr will probably end up sexualizing their relationship somehow. Similar to how everyone ignores Roach in the original series, it kind of makes me sad how all the Army Rangers from the original series got completely forgotten by (some) fans and by Activision. The gameplay with Ramirez in MW2 was some of the best and most emotionally tense, at least for me, and I always enjoyed his interactions with Corporal Dunn and even Sgt. Foley screaming his name every 4 seconds. I also wish more people talked about Farah and Price's relationship more (!!). She hardly appears in fics/art (at least not the ones I've seen) even though she was in most of MW19—with two missions dedicated to her past—and appeared in MWII. I'm pretty sure it's because most people are only interested in the men they're physically attracted to in this fandom, smh.

it's not enough for a detective to be clever for them to be durable; they need to have a circle of friends to make them memorable. it doesn't need to be a large circle, but you need that grounding moment of familiarity to spring the mystery from. people invest in these characters, these familiar beats, more than they do in the working out of the mystery itself. there's the same pleasure in seeing how nero wolfe's household has weathered the war years as in seeing how kamurocho has changed since the last yakuza game. how are things going with watson and mrs hudson? the continental op has the old man and dick foley; richard diamond has helen and walt and sgt otis; perry mason has paul drake and della street. the same desire to simply check in on old friends drives a lot of narrative engagement, from mysteries to superheroes to soap operas to kaiju movies. the *absence* of that sort of domestic updating is one of the things that's made it hard to really invest in these miss marple books—she spends so much of the stories offstage that she's hard to connect with as an individual, and she doesn't have that wider circle of acquaintances that feed the hunger for mere continuity. how are things in saint mary mead? we're left in the dark, beyond some dark suggestions that perhaps everyone is actually just gone, driven away or displaced or maybe just killed by world war 2. we get a flashing mention of her writer nephew and his artistic bride, but then we've barely seen them, either, in any of the earlier books. jane marple is still, two decades and four novels into her literary career, mostly a cipher, a collection of small town anecdotes wrapped in a lace shawl, rather than an actual character. the books are getting better, or at least a murder is announced wasn't so baldly mechanical as the series has been, but they still feel very much work for hire.

Tommy Rogers x Fem Reader- "Email My Heart"

Despite that ECW has been stereotyped as being a wrestling company filled with hardcore matches and blood, not only did ECW have different types of wrestling matches, but also different kinds of wrestlers as well.

Of course there were the hardcore brawlers like Mick Foley, Sandman, Raven and New Jack (Sandman and New Jack weren't even technically wrestlers), but there were also luchador wrestlers like Rey Mysterio, technical wrestlers like Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero, and even some wrestling veterans like Dusty Rhodes, Rick Rude, Tom Prichard, and Terry Funk (the godfather of hardcore wrestling, and I don't mean "godfather" as in the wrestler in the Attitude era who played a pimp with his hoe train following him).

One wrestling veteran who actually was a part of ECW's roster in the late 1990's was Tommy Rogers---the same Tommy Rogers who was in the wrestling tagteam duo the Fantastics during the 1980's.

Even though you were heartbroken when Tommy Rogers left the World Wrestling Federation after his tenure in the summer of 1997, you doubt that Tommy would've been on the WWF's roster during their Attitude era, since the Attitude era was cranking out and creating fresh new stars.

Granted, there were a few wrestling veterans making guest appearances in the Attitude era, like Sgt. Slaughter, the Rock n Roll Express and even Hillbilly Jim and the Bushwackers appearing at Wrestlemania 2001, but their appearances were brief.

While you loved being a part of the World Wrestling Federation roster, seeing Tommy Rogers in ECW made you want to be a part of the ECW roster even more (amongst other things).

You had watched some ECW episodes and pay-per-views from its heyday in the 1990's and seen some the content on it.

After you typed his address, you scrolled your cursor down to the "from" section, where you typed your email address.

Even better, Scott Hall (yes, THAT Scott Hall, the former Razor Ramon) was a part of the ECW roster, and that made both you and Scott really happy.

While Tommy Rogers during his ECW time and even his WWF time didn't look quite as good as he looked when he was with the Fantastics in the 1980's, especially the late 1980's, he was still pretty handsome in the late 90's even if he had a mullet.
