Clarification: “Merman’s Fall” by Lin Qian is one of my most beloved 🏅 danmei novels. I strongly recommend it; the world-building, plot, and main characters’ emotional developments are brilliant. I wrote this list just to organise my thoughts and share it with others who also love this book. Some things to think about, after reading/re-reading.

1.IOA要为白楚年寻找促联合素避免恶化时，为什么不直接让爬虫使用m2能力查出促联合素的成分/分子构造？爬虫不是能拉出写有详细资料的物品栏吗？连白楚年的镰刀的资料都能展示一部分，为什么不查促联合素的？ 💻

2.永生亡灵才从研究所逃出来不久，不具备与查询有关的能力，书里也没写他威胁了什么人而得到消息，他怎么知道仇家孩子在英国、在哪间学校读书？🗺

3.永生亡灵为什么不报复肇事学生的黑帮高层母亲？ 🗡

4.李妄是什么来历？我觉得这个人到最后还是个谜。 ❓

5.为什么李妄那么针对实验体？既然他认识黑豹和白楚年，也有机会接触困在牢里的金缕虫和无象潜行者，就该知道实验体有人性，不全是疯狂的、危险的。为什么他在国际会议里还那么固执地不想把实验体当人？（乱猜：因为想控制黑豹吗？对黑豹有那么大的执念？昼好可怜。） 🙍

6.为什么李妄那么想弄死白楚年？就算白楚年死了，言逸也不会放弃为实验体争取人权。所以我不明白李妄想让白楚年死在109研究所里，还让厄里斯摔碎白楚年化成的玻璃珠，图的是什么？就为了消弱IOA的力量吗？那他为什么跟IOA过不去? 🦁

7.昼那么讨厌李妄，还能自然产生驱使关系？驱使关系是怎么触发的，因什么而起？（我知道李妄有驱使物，但我的问题是：世界上有那么多人，为什么偏偏是李妄刚好有这个适合控制黑豹的体质和驱使物？本来我以为驱使关系的产生和共生、联合等关系一样须要缘份和互相喜欢；兰波白楚年、尼克斯厄里斯、金缕虫和哥哥、陆言毕揽星都是这样的。但昼对李妄的厌烦和抗拒推翻了我的想法。所以驱使关系的产生有时候是随机的吗？）🐆

8.还有一个疑点对我来说很重要！猛禽/肉食鸟类中体型强大的是雌性！！女的！雄性比较娇小！所以IOA岛上的女性/omega鸟类腺体狙击手/打手都去了哪里？书中说萧驯是狙击手中寥寥无几的omega，这不合理！我可以怀疑洛伦兹是个omega猛女吗？？🦅

PS 我对“雄鹰”这个词颇有怨言，唉都是男尊女卑这根深蒂固的概念的错

9.兰波是蝠鲼，为什么变成人鱼时他的尾巴有（较大的、蓝色发光的）鱼鳞？蝠鲼和鲨鱼一样，鳞片非常小，要用显微镜看的。

小疑问和建议/想法：

1.尼克斯就因为被一个同事和病人算计一次，就开始有了“全人类都是垃圾”的念头？看书里写尼克斯的那句“你觉得人类配拥有医生吗”，缘由很像是他的那一段经历。那么偏激😵？小建议：如果潜潜能把尼克斯的生活经历写得仔细一些，我觉得他的动机会显得更真实。

2.❤️兰波手臂上的“热爱白楚年”消失了吗？如果还没消失，为什么兰波在玻璃珠摔碎时那么怕他会忘记白楚年？而如果字体消失了，白楚年变成玻璃珠后为什么兰波不重新把名字刻印在身上，以防万一？和其他读者讨论出的猜测：兰波是个狂傲的王，应该不会想到有人能在他的眼皮子底下打碎玻璃珠。（过度自信，好险。）小建议：如果潜潜能把兰波的想法写出来，我觉得这会避免读者疑惑猜测。

3. 🥊在培育基地里砍白楚年之前，为什么培育期的兰波知道打赢比赛的实验体不会在109研究所过得好，而成熟期的白楚年却不知道？如果从小在培育基地里长大的是个普通人或武力型实验体，我相信他会因为经历不够而被研究员骗了。但我不明白为什么身为有大局观的指挥型实验体，白楚年没想到兰波能想到的离开研究所的办法。（如果白楚年想到了但没实行，我们应该会在书里看到他的感想，但书里没有。）

和其他读者讨论出的猜测：白楚年不是不知道打赢了也不会在109研究所过得好。谁都不知道去了109过后的日子会是怎样的。

白楚年从小生长在培育基地，一直以来，在他的认知里，只有打赢活着打输死了这两条路。“出去，彻底离开研究所的控制”这条路在他的潜意识里是不存在的。一个根本不知道“外面”是什么的人，怎么会想到“出去”？就算白楚年聪明，他应该是局限于贫乏的生活经验了。兰波不一样，他是被抓进培育基地的，看过外面的世界，所以他能想到白楚年想不到的第三条路。

小建议：如果潜潜能在文里写从小就生长在培育基地/研究所对实验体的思想和观念有什么影响，再用来解释上面的问题，我觉得这能让情节变得更清楚，让故事更精彩。也可以稍微描述白楚年思想的改变+融入社会的过程。

　　詹姆挑了挑眉，两人也开了话匣子在回霍格华兹的路上有一搭没一搭的聊到，直到回寝室的岔路时他们才分别

　　西弗勒斯离开的脚步应为这个词而停住，他说

　　午夜时，这是满月的前后几天，西弗勒斯本该想起一些不好的回忆，但是他今天没有那心情，他不断腾抄着被水泡湿字体的笔记，有一些部分已经模糊到看不清原本的内容了，他只能频借着自己的记忆和课本上的随堂小记来推测

　　他抄写着笔记，泪水却滴落在纸张上，他想着自己没有去找寻不幸，为什么不幸却会降临在他身上呢？所有的事他都坚强的扛过了，但是他却在这里跌倒，他在寝室里小声抽泣着用衣角擦泪的同时也暗自庆幸自己的室友正因事返家，这让他有了更大的发泄空间

　　

　　他哭泣的声音不算太大但是眼泪却止不住，西弗勒斯缩在床旁索性任眼泪流，双眼被泪水遮掩得迷离自然也没发现寝室的门刚刚打开又和合上了

　　

　　“斯内普？你这是在哭？”身着隐形斗篷的詹姆波特忍不住惊道，这实在是太神奇了他那冷情冷面的秘密朋友竟然会哭　　

　　““你来这里做什么？…嗝…波特先生，是来笑话你被欺骗的可怜同学的吗？”西弗勒斯立马擦干眼泪强忍住断断续续的打嗝道　

　　“不！我是来道歉的，我为今天下午我所作的事情和你道歉，莉莉那边我也解释过了”他一边走到西弗勒斯身边轻抚他的背替他顺气一边说

Q：代妹子问的，她是唐昊的粉，想知道唐昊的性格就是比较自傲的吗？有没有其他性格描写？以及会不会护短呢？

A：性格的话，人的性格书里面应该都有提过的，没有提到的，就不要胡乱脑补了。没有写过护短就是没有护短啊~（一直挠头皮）

Q: I’m a Tang Hao fan, is his personality just relatively prideful? Does he have any other personality descriptions? For example, does he try to hide his own shortcomings?

A: Personality-wise, the novel should have mentioned everything. For things that haven’t been mentioned, don’t go around randomly making things up. If I haven’t written about him hiding his shortcomings, then he doesn’t do that…

Q：世锦赛叶修真的没有带账号卡吗？会不会出现叶修拿着一叶之秋的账号卡场面？

A：应该不会，在我写的设定里，账号卡是锁定每一位选手的，不能随便更换。其他没写到的不要随便脑补了。

A: It shouldn’t. Based on how I wrote things, every account is locked to a character, they can’t be randomly swapped around. Other things that I haven’t written about, please don’t make things up.

Q：叶修立即出走用叶修的名字，苏沐橙为什么取的是一叶之秋？

A：（愣）哦，对哦（扶额），那可能不是根据他的名字来的（自己在那边笑死了）。也许就是个错别字，反正也错了一个嘛，那就错两个吧。

Q: When Ye Xiu left home, was he using the name Ye Xiu or Ye Qiu?

A: In my [choice?], only Su Mucheng and Su Muqiu, with whom he was very close, knew that he was Ye Xiu.

Q: Then when he left home at the very start, he was already using his brother’s name? Does he have any morals?

A: He was Ye Xiu. It was just later on when playing online games, we all use internet names [laughs].

Q: So in other words, he was using the name Ye Xiu at the very start?

Q: So if Ye Xiu was using the name Ye Xiu immediately after he’d run away, then why did Su Mucheng come up with the name One Autumn Leaf?

A: Oh huh, that’s right. Then maybe it didn’t directly come from his name. Maybe it was just a typo. There was already one typo in the name so might as well have two.

Q: Among the Golden Generation, Yu Wenzhou and Chu Yunxiu and the others, did they become captain in Season 4 or in Season 5?

A: Yu Wenzhou was in Season 4.

A: I haven’t written about them yet.

A：那是刚写过的番外，你们是还没看到吗？还没出来是吧？会有的都会有的。番外里有比较多的方士谦，因为主要是微草的。

Q: What happened to Fang Shiqian?

A: That’s the prequel chapter I just wrote, you all haven’t seen it right? It hasn’t come out yet right? It’ll come. The prequel has rather a lot of Fang Shiqian, because Tiny Herb is a focus. 

Q：微草刚出场的时候是一个冠军的角色，前一年的冠军，当时的设定他会是最终boss吗？以及微草这两年的成绩是不是因为他的制度问题？

A：没有，微草从一开始设定的是一个转型（过渡？）的战队，一个拿���冠军有一点点衰落的队伍，不是说制度问题。

Q: When Tiny Herb appeared in the novel, it was like a championship character, the previous year’s champions. Early on, were you planning for them to be the final boss? And were their results these past two years because of systemic problems?

A: No. From the very start, Tiny Herb was designed to be a team in the middle of transitioning styles. A team that had just faded a little after winning the championship, not because of any systemic problems.

Q：你当时是处于一个什么样的考虑把苏沐秋给写死了？

A：从一开头就看到这个人是不在的，不是什么目的，是因为我只需要一个主角。

Q：为什么是一个悲惨的死法，不是正常的死法啊！为什么是车祸死的，比较意外啊

A：这样比较突然啊啊，不让你让叶修伏在病床前照顾他吗？

Q: At the time, what were your considerations when you decided to write Su Muqiu as dead?

A：这个我实在回答不了你，我写完的时候就表明了未来不再由我来设定了嘛

Q: If you were to write Season 11, after Lin Jingyan retired, what kind of new character would join? If you were to write it, which team would be most likely to win the championship?

A: I haven’t considered it

Q: Then how likely do you think it’d be for Tyranny to win?

A: I truly can’t answer this. When I finished writing, that meant that the future was no longer up to me to design.

Q：小点到底死了没有？

A：狗的话，（笑）我没养过狗啊，我不太清楚狗到底能活多久？

Q: Has Little Dot died?

A: If it’s a dog… [laughs] I haven’t raised a dog before, I’m not too sure on how long dogs can live?

Q：因为老韩的年龄差不多到了，如果他退役的话，会不会继续留在霸图当教练或者指导之类的？

A：以我写的他的这种性格来说，这个几率会比较大。包括最后他放弃进入国家这个情况，他就是为了霸图，所以应该会的。

Q：那么张新杰呢，他会留在霸图吗？

A：张新杰，他就不好说了。

Q: Because Old Han is about at that age, if he retires, would he remain in Tyranny as a coach or advisor or something like that?

A: With the personality that I’ve written for him, that’s pretty likely. Including at the end when he declined joining the national team, that was all for Tyranny. So he probably would stick around.

Q: Then what about Zhang Xinjie, would he stay at Tyranny?

A: Zhang Xinjie, that’s harder to say.

Q：当初取账号卡的名字，像微草全是中草药的名字，然后各种名字都不是很非主流。

A：是这样的，非主流的，因为字也不好打对吧？取这些名字的话，显得我比较有文化一些。

Q:  When coming up with names for the account cards, Tiny Herb’s were all names of herbal medicines, and then all sorts of names weren’t very non-mainstream [T/N: “alternative”].

A: This is how it was, non-mainstream names are harder to type, right? I picked the names that I did because it makes me sound more cultured.

Q：黄少是出于什么考虑选择机会主义者的风格？

A：这不是他的选择，这个正好是体现他的特点，天生的性格而已。

Q: Why did Huang Shaotian chose his opportunistic style?

A: This wasn’t his choice, this just perfectly reflected his characteristics, his natural personality.

Q：那问下刘小别拿了喻文州的钱包买了饮料之后究竟去了哪里，他回来了吗？

A：（笑笑笑）他肯定会回来，我只是没写而已，比赛正在激烈地进行中。

Q: Then when Liu Xiaobie took Yu Wenzhou’s wallet to go buy drinks, where did he go after that? Did he come back?

A: I knew, because I saw when I looked it up. But I felt that this name sounded pretty cool, so it didn’t matter what its medicinal effect was.

Q：能为我们描述一下蓝河的性格吗？番外里确定没有他吗？

A：你说哪个里面没有他？

A：目前写到的番外里没有他，暂时的计划里也没有他。

Q: Can you describe Blue River’s personality for us? Is it true the prequel won’t have him at all?

A: You said what won’t have him at all?

A: The prequel chapters that I’ve written so far don’t include him, and my current plans don’t include him.

[德州扒鸡] 何况食魂的本职便是以美食悦人， 若能在空桑给更多人带来愉悦, 自是没有理由推脱。 Hékuàng shí hún de běnzhí biàn shì yǐ měishí yuè rén, ruò néng zài kōng sāng gěi gèng duō rén dài lái yúyuè, zì shì méiyǒu lǐyóu tuītuō. What's more, a Food Soul’s purpose is to delight people with delicious delicacies, if more joy could be brought to the people by being in Kong Sang, there’s no reason for me to avoid it.

[德州扒鸡] 只是不知弟弟阿符, 是否愿意一同前往…… 不如侍我找到阿符, 同他商量一番之后再作决定， 如何? Zhǐshì bùzhī dìdì ā fú, shìfǒu yuànyì yītóng qiánwǎng…… bùrú shì wǒ zhǎodào ā fú, tóng tā shāngliáng yī fān zhīhòu zài zuò juédìng, rúhé? [Narration] 对待旁人亲切谦恭的德州扒鸡, 对待符离集烧鸡却格外严格。 Duìdài pángrén qīnqiè qiāngōng de dézhōu pá jī, duìdài fú lí jí shāo jī què géwài yángé. De Zhou Pa Ji, who usually treats others amiably, is particularly strict towards Fu Ji Li Shao Ji.

Object Memory - Ivery

The object I chose is my great-grandmother’s diary/autobiography. It has great value because she has lived through Modern China, from the end of imperialism, the civil wars, the 1912 Chinese Communist revolution, the May Fourth, Mao’s rise to power, Cultural Revolution etc. Despite its great value, we have been unable to get our hands onto this piece of document. 

My mother has read it as a child, and I asked her to write down what she remembers from the autobiography, on the day of the Tomb-sweeping Festival, where people visit their ancestral tombs and remember those who have passed away. I translated her text below:

2020年4月4号 

April 4th, 2020

前院的腊梅花开了， 粉红的梅花一簇簇非常艳丽夺目， 让我想起我的祖母李绮梅， 名字中带着梅字， 我拍了两组梅花的照片， 思念她。 

The plum blossom in the front yard is blooming. The clusters are very beautiful and dazzling. It reminds me of my grandmother Li Qimei, whose name has the word plum (“mei”) in it. I took two photographs with plum blossoms to commemorate her.

特别凑巧的是， 昨晚在罗德岛的女儿来电说想问问我有关太祖母自传的事， 我答应女儿把我记忆中的有关她自传的点点滴滴串起来， 然而因为久远还是有些模糊。 

It was particularly coincidental that my daughter in Rhode Island called last night and asked me about my grandmother ’s autobiography. I promised my daughter to string up all the memories of her autobiography, but last time I read it I was so young, and my memory has faded since. 

当时我是12岁左右吧，或者更小， 因为记忆中我站在凳子上，翻看在父母衣柜抽屉里的一本自传， 这是我祖母的， 她交给了自己的长子保留。 因为是手写的， 有些字当时我并不认得。

At that time, I was about 12 years old, or younger, because I remember standing on a stool, looking at an autobiography in the drawer of my parents' wardrobe. This is my grandmother's, and she gave it to her eldest son to keep. Because it was handwritten, and I didn't recognize some words at the time.

祖母出生于1906年（清光绪32年），是自幼童养在一个大户人家的， 她并不知道自己的亲生父母， 大户人家是广东四邑人（南海开平都属于四邑）做珠宝的。 大户人家有几个儿子， 每个儿子有一个领养的聪明女孩陪伴长大甚至一起读书。 祖母因为出奇地聪明伶俐， 主人家、养父母便让她从小和自己的儿子一起读私塾， 也并没有裹脚， 后来竟然因为聪颖过人， 祖母上了洋学堂直至到女子妇产科学校（不知是否就是中国最著名的妇产科医生林���稚同属一个年代？） 

The grandmother was born in 1906 (32 years in Qingxu, Qing Dynasty). She was raised in a large household as an adopted child. She does not know who her biological parents are. The large household was a jewelry manufacturer in Guangdong Siyi (both belong to Siyi in Nanhai Kaiping). There are several sons in the household, and each son is accompanied by an adopted smart girl who grows up and studies with him. Because grandmother was surprisingly clever and smart, her adoptive parents sent her to private schools with their sons, and did not have her feet bounded either. And as she was so smart, she went to a Girls' Obstetrics and Gynecology School (Isn’t that Lin Qiaozhi, the most famous obstetrician and gynecologist in China, from the same era?)

书中提到她的初恋， 她第一次遇到我的祖父一见钟情 ，她描写他的美貌和帅气， 具体的场景描写我不记得了。 祖母说她回到家中之后没多久收到了祖父给她的情书， 那是她人生收到的第一封情书， 祖母拿着信到花园里读， 一边读情书一边剧烈地呕吐。 这段描写很深地震撼我， 以至于在我35岁的时候还在想这个问题为什么会呕吐， 难道不是恶心才呕吐吗？ 

The autobiography talks about her first love. It was love at first sight with my grandfather. She describes his beauty and handsomeness, but I don’t remember the details anymore. Grandmother said she received a love letter from him shortly after returning home. It was the first love letter in her life. She took the letter to the garden, and was vomiting violently while reading the love letter. This shocked me so deeply that even at the age of 35, I still wonder - Isn't it nausea to vomit?

祖父的情书中表达了他对祖母的一见钟情， 情书在自传中应该有记录，但因我年幼不懂， 便几乎全略过了。 祖父祖籍是广东台山， 他是家中的三少爷， 家族在上海经营纽扣厂， 在家乡和香港也有一些生意， 祖父的父亲在清朝洋务运动时期从美国回来去了山东开金矿赚了第一桶金。 自传中提到初恋很顺利， 两个家庭父母见面之后就订婚了。

Grandfather's love letter expresses his love for her at first sight. The details of the love letter should be recorded in the autobiography, but because I didn't understand it much at a young age, I almost skipped it all. Grandfather ’s ancestral home is Taishan, Guangdong, East of China. He is the third youngest son in his family. His family operates a button factory in Shanghai and has some businesses in Taishan and in Hong Kong. Grandfather’s father returned from the United States during the Qing Dynasty Westernization Movement and went to Shandong to open a gold mine to earn his first barrel of gold. The autobiography mentions that their relationship was going well, and that they got engaged soon after the two families met.

祖母洋学堂之后坚持继续妇产科学习， 两个相爱之人决定毕业之后再结婚。 记得祖母和女同学们的照片， 她们身着民国时期的白色长袍裙，在当时的中国应该是新女性的代表了。 毕业后祖父祖母结婚了， 印象中祖母给我看过她的结婚照， 有拖地的洁白婚纱还有男女小傧相， 美丽无比。 

After grandmother graduated from college, she insisted on continuing her studies in obstetrics and gynecology. The couple decided to marry after graduation. I remember the photos of my grandmother with her female classmates. They were dressed in white robe skirts during the Republic of China and were probably representatives of New Women in China at that time. After graduating, they got married. My grandmother showed me her wedding photo. She was wearing a long white wedding dress that draped all the way on the floor with the bridesmaids. It was very beautiful.

祖父祖母结婚了，上海滩上的新女性， 一个妇产科医生和初恋的爱人结婚真是幸福， 况且他是那样的好看，比当时的老上海男明星还要美貌。 婚礼细节可惜我忘了， 小女生战战兢兢偷看大人的自传， 被父母发现会招来责骂和挨打。 

My grandfather and grandmother got married. The love between an obstetrician and her first date is so idealistic, moreover he was so beautiful and even more beautiful than the most popular Shanghai star at the time. Unfortunately, I forgot the details about the wedding, as I was only a little girl peeking out at the autobiography in the dark when the adults are not looking, and would be scolded or beaten if I was to be seen.

书中描写的这样一段， 印象太深刻了。婚后不久祖父的母亲（祖母的家婆）从台山带来一个小女孩， 小女孩10岁， 长相美丽。 婆婆说这是一个孤儿，交给祖母抚养， 祖母拉过小女孩的手， 其指甲盖的形状和祖父的形状一模一样， 祖母在书中写到她知道这个小女孩必是祖父的私生女， 后来果然祖父承认了（这是另外一段很长的故事）， 记得我看了这段文字之后， 马上偷偷查看我自己的手脚， 原来没错我的指甲盖形状和我父亲的完全一样，纤长而顶部呈圆型， 基因真的强大。（这个小女孩以后长大出落得美丽动人， 星探发现想让她做演员， 遭到祖父反对，后嫁给年长自己15岁的自己的老师， 虽然颇有才华， 但相貌实在不敢恭维， 婚后安家在北京。 这些是后话了）

A passage in the book left a lasting impression on me. Soon after their marriage, my grandfather's mother (grandmother's mother-in-law) brought in a little girl from Taishan. The little girl is 10 years old and is very pretty. The woman said she was an orphan, but grandmother took a look at the little girl’s hands, and noticed that the shape of her fingernails is exactly the same as the fingernails of my grandfather. She noted in the autobiography that she is certain this little girl is his illegitimate daughter. Later, my grandfather admitted (this is another very long story). I remember that after reading this text, I quickly looked at my own nails. It turned out that the shape of my fingernails are exactly the same as my father’s. The top is round. How strong the genes are! (This little girl grew up incredibly beautiful. A star scout asked her to audition for an actor role, but her father opposed. Later she married her own teacher who was 15 years older than her. Although he is quite talented indeed, he didn’t necessarily have the best looks. They settled in Beijing after their marriage, but these are later words.)

新婚是甜蜜的， 自由恋爱， 双方家长满意， 西式的婚礼，婚礼按西方仪式举行， 祖母穿着洁白的婚纱，祖父白色西服。 婚后祖母选择继续在妇产科诊所工作， 第一个孩子是女孩生于1938年，生活如此美好。  

The newlyweds are so sweet, free in love, the parents of both parties were satisfied. The wedding style is Western and is held in accordance with Western ceremonies. Grandmother wearing a white wedding dress, grandfather wearing a white suit. After marriage, my grandmother continued working in her own Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic. The first child was a girl born in 1938, and life was so beautiful.

自传中提到一个吴姓女同学， 其家中原是富有的， 但由于父亲的缘故（ 抽鸦片赌博等） 家道中落， 无力偿还债务， 吴姓女同学罹患重病，  弥留之久将自己的亲妹妹交托给她的最好的闺蜜我的祖母照顾， 吴姓妹妹大约比我祖母小最少十多岁吧，祖母因为已婚便将她带回家中， 整个自传自此弥漫着一种说不上来的感觉，颜色现在回忆起来是淡灰色的或者淡淡蓝色的， 我当时只能读懂一个个的字而已， 而且因为是偷窥所以一目十行，没读仔细。 现在想起来那个时刻这个人物的出现某种意义上改写了祖母的命运， 祖母的人生序幕此时好像才正式开启。 

The autobiography also mentions a female classname, Wu, whose family was rich at first, but because of some mistakes (opium gambling, etc.), her family fell apart and was unable to repay their debts. She fell ill and on her death bed entrusted her younger sister with her best girlfriend, my grandmother. My grandmother took care of Wu’s sister. Sister Wu was at least ten years younger than my grandmother. My grandmother took her home because she was married and had a stable home. The atmosphere of the autobiography becomes inexplicable from this point onwards. The color I now recall is light gray or light blue. I was only able to read some words, and because it was a peep, I read ten lines at a glance and did not read it carefully. Now remembering it, the appearance of this character, sister Wu, perhaps has rewritten grandmother's fate. I think grandmother's life only became more turbulent from now on.

After scanning through this review by @bigbadredpanda,  I got inspired to do a translation of the scum villain / tian guan ci fu parts of this interview. Bear in mind that I have yet to read other interviews and stalk MXTX’s weibo, so I may be unaware of other perks.

Q21. [SPOILER] 花城小时候为什么绑着绷带？为何掉下城楼？他为何总是被人欺负又体质非常好？(Why did Hua Cheng have bandages when he was younger? Why did he fall off the city wall? Why was he healthy even though he was beaten up by other people?)

[SPOILER]被打的，他右眼是红瞳，别人觉得很恐怖，脸上很多伤也要遮一下；

有一天他被打得受不了了想自杀，而且他是个戾气很重的凶小孩，听说马上要到祭天游，如果出了事整个国家都要遭殃，特地挑了这一天准备毁掉祭天游，总之就是“老子不幸，老子要你整个国家都陪葬”，这样。结果爬上去第一眼看见未来老婆看傻了，忘了自杀。但是因为太想看清楚一点了，太想靠近了，所以不小心掉了下来。

他就是生命力很顽强啊！跟谢怜一样顽强，百打不死，永远能留着最后一口气，爬起来逆天逆袭。

It was because he was beaten up. His right eye had a red pupil, others thought it was scary, and even though he was beaten up, he still had to hide it.

There was one day, he could not take the beatings any longer and wanted to commit suicide, and despair drooped around him. One day, he heard that there was about to be a festival. If there was an incident, the kingdom would fall into ruin, so he chose this day to wreck the festival. It was a feeling of “Since I’m so unlucky, I want everyone to die along with me”/”I’m taking down everyone with me”. Thus, when he went up to take a look at his future wife, he was stunned and forgot about his suicide attempt. But because he wanted to look a bit closer, he toppled over the city wall.

He’s a tough person to kill! Like Xie Lian, he’s stubborn, and can’t be killed so easily. When he crawls up from despair, it’s akin to having one last breath to wreck everything else behind him!

Q22. 花城为什么对自己颜值没有信心？(Why wasn’t Hua Cheng confident about his own looks?)

因为小时候总被人说丑、怪物，形成了根深蒂固的“我很丑”的印象。后来才慢慢开始怀疑自己“可能长得不错”。但是在最喜欢的人面前，还是会下意识自卑，偶尔又会悄悄怀疑自己是不是丑八怪。

Because he was often criticized as being ugly, or a monster, it deeply implanted a ‘I’m very ugly’ outlook in his mind. He only started to question his looks, but when in front of the person he likes the most, he would still doubt himself, and start to question if he really is as ugly as he thought.

Q23. [SPOILER]慕情把花城赶出军营时到底说了什么？(Why did Mu Qing chase him out of the military?)

慕情讲话不就那个样子嘛（。你这种小鬼对太子殿下根本没用，只会拖他的后腿，军队里不需要你这种废物，你不要以为你真的有天赋！之类的。而且因为在军队里这样的少年死亡率的确很高，所以慕情觉得自己赶他出去也有一点没错。

[SPOILER]Mu Qing’s manner of speech is always like this: You’re of no use to his Imperial Highness, you’ll only be a burden on him! The army doesn’t need trash like you, don’t think you have that much talent!

Because young people like the mortal Hua Cheng had a high mortality rate, Mu Qing thought that he did nothing wrong in chasing him out.

Q26. 对于《天官赐福》创作期间剧情结构的争议有什么想法？(What were the thoughts you had about the plot and resulting debates of HOB?)

这个其实我很早写过相关的，有的放在JJ的作者有话说里了，有的本来想放在后记，但想了想还是没有放，正好趁这个机会整理一下，一起发出来。

Actually, I had written something similar to my thoughts on this. Some have been placed in the author’s notes (on JJWXC, the original website HOB was posted to), some I wanted to record down but didn’t after thinking, so I’ll take this opportunity to tidy up a bit and air my thoughts.)

讲实话，还是有点无语的，我感觉没有哪个别的作者会有我这种争议。一个作者几本你爱看几本你不爱看，这不是很正常的事么，我喜欢的作者（非耽美）我也不是本本都喜欢的。世界级的大师也不可能保证本本都是世界级名著吧（当然我这不是在脸大自比世界级大师，预警一下不要断章取义）。所以不太理解为啥有人会一本不喜欢就翻脸转黑，或者居然说怀疑我有团队代笔之类的。

To say the truth, I’m still a bit speechless about this. I feel that other authors wouldn’t have as much difficulty about the debates as I did. There are some books that you like and some you don’t from the same author, this is pretty normal. There’s this author I like ( 非耽美  ), and I don’t like every single book she has written. There is no author in the world that can be assured that every book they have written will become a bestseller (I’m not comparing myself with these authors, please don’t quote me to your liking!) So I can’t understand why some people object once they read a book that they don’t like, or even say that I have a team of ghostwriters.

但我发现争议永远都会有。在JJ，只要不是软萌甜文，评论区多半都有点乌云。至今记得我收到第一个负分，就是渣反刚入V时，有个妹子骂冰妹渣攻去死吧（。当时为攻渣不渣吵了几个话题楼，放到今天来看这种规模简直是小猫挠爪子，但当时比较没见识，真的被吓住了。魔道连载初期，我收到的第一个扎心的评论大概是这样的：“你已经耗尽了我的耐心，我不想再容忍你的回忆杀了”，那个时候我才在写第一段云深不知处求学，我心想妹子你这就容忍不了了，那后面你怎么办啊！也有人坦言“感觉大大你这本没什么意思哦，我还是比较喜欢渣反”，这种评论我看了不舒服，但我也不会说什么。到后期评论区人多了，乌云也多了，兵荒马乱，前面那点都觉得没啥了。也是从这里，开始养成了我说不看评论区就不看评论区的好习惯。

But I discovered that there would always be debates. On JJWXC, as long as it’s not a sweet fluffy story, there will always be some clouds hanging over. At least when I remember the first criticism, that is when Scum Villain was first published, there was a fan who told Luo Binghe to go die.

At that time, I wasn’t as mature, so I was really shocked. When GDC/MoDaoZuShi was being published, I received a heart wrenching criticism that went like this: “You’ve already exhausted my patience, I can’t stand all of these flashbacks!” This was when I had just written the first part of the time at Cloud Recesses, when they were all studying together. I was thinking: if you can’t stand this, then how are you going to stand it later?

There was also someone who wrote: “Big sis, this book doesn’t have much meaning, I still prefer Scum Villain!” These reviews are discomforting to me, but I won’t say anything. At the end, there were more people in the debate, more clouds over this novel, it was chaos, I was eventually numb to this. So at this point, I started having the habit of not reading the debates in the reviews corner.

所以你看，其实争议从来没有停止。永远有人不满。以前的争议现在淡去了，就给人一种“从来没有过争议”的错觉。就像总有人喜欢缅怀过去的时光如何美好，时间会加一层滤镜。

So you see, debates have never stopped. There will always be people who are unsatisfied. Previous debates that have become less intense, it gives the feeling that “there has never been a debate”. Like some who think that the past is better, time would give a nostalgic feeling.

写作中出现的困难有什么大不了的，没作者敢说自己写作过程中不会出现困难吧。但是有的作者很聪明，会扬长避短，就写自己最拿手的。这当然很厉害，不过我觉得，还是要不时走出舒适区试探一下的。

No author has dared to say that they have never come across trouble in writing, but there’s nothing wrong in troubles. But there are some authors who are smart, who would write what they are good at. This is very powerful, but I feel that there has to be some attempts at going out of your comfort zone.

既然是探索，就不能保证每一步都走得稳。如果我摔倒了，我自己会爬起来。不能说因为我会摔倒，就不让我走这一步，非逼我另一条路，或者要夺走我自己走路的权力。

Since it’s an investigation, so you can’t be sure that every step you take would be safe. If I fall, I would climb up myself. I can’t say that because I’ll fall, I won’t take this step, I need to take another route, or make this cautious step prevent me from walking on my own.

如果实在不喜欢，其实放手就好，我一贯是希望好聚好散。但有的读者比较奇怪，一定要一边不喜欢，一边逼迫自己读，一边发泄负能量，这何必呢。毕竟，你不喜欢，有别的读者是会真心喜欢的。这样你自己也不舒服，其他读者也不舒服，还会引发掐架，这个时候我就很尴尬。因为人捍卫自己喜欢的东西是人之常情，我不能说拦着读者们不让他们保护自己喜欢的。我很明白自己喜欢的东西被人攻击会有多难过气愤，我心疼这些读者。

If I really don’t like this, letting go is always good. I hope that everyone will break up peacefully. But some readers are a bit strange, they don’t like what they read, they will force themselves to read while complaining about it and wasting their effort. Why do this? You may not like it, but there are other readers who love it. So you will not feel comfortable, so will others, and you get into a fight and I feel embarrassed about it!

People feel protective about what they love, this is perfectly normal and I can’t prevent readers from being protective. I perfectly understand the rage some feel when what they like is being attacked, and thus I worry about it.

可我也尊重读者发表评论的权利，所以对于很多不怎么友好的评论，我从来不会去反驳争辩（除非恶意造谣），有读者反应过激，我还会去劝阻。

However, I respect other readers with their right to disagree, so in debates that turn sour, I will not intervene (unless it’s to stamp a rumor) and I will try to allay those whose reactions are too energetic.

不过这里我还想说说，我可以无视负面评价，但我并不太喜欢所谓的“建议”。

为什么呢，因为写文这事，没写过的人真的就只是纸上谈兵。就像教人写作文，建议人家“用词生动，结构精美”，教人做数学题，建议人家要“举一反三，细心计算”。听上去都没错对吧？但这���都是太笼统抽象的东西，所有人都知道，太空泛了。真的要做到，只有一个办法：自己���。

I would like to speak up about “suggestions”. Why?  Because those who have not written before are only good at talking. Like teaching someone how to write a composition, you say to use phrases to invoke feeling and paragraphing to structure your essay. When you answer mathematical questions, the suggestion is to think of alternative methods and be methodical in your working. It sounds good, right? But these are too vague, the space for error is still too wide. If you really want to do it, I have only one suggestion: write it yourself.

而如果“建议”太具体了，比如“这个地方他说话用词应该文雅一点”“这个地方他应该同情而不是漠视”“全部用排比句看起来比较有文采”，这就越界了。

写文是很私人的事，一篇文有无数个读者，但只能有一个作者。大家是看来看作者写文的，不是来看一个傀儡写文的。每个读者心里或多或少都有自己想要看到的东西，如果每个人都对作者提出要求，作者到底该听谁的？为什么只听这个不听其他的？也许你会说要听正确的，但是谁的意见才是正确的？怎么证明他是正确的？阅网文无数的人可太多了。最关键的问题是，到底是谁在写文？表达者是谁？　

And if the suggestion is too general, like this: “This paragraph, the character speaking should be talking with more of a cultural flair”, or “This paragraph, he should be sympathetic rather than apathetic”, “You should use comparisons, this writing technique is better”, this is beyond the scope.

Writing is personal, a story has many readers, but there could only be one writer. Everyone is here to see the author’s story, not something that they suggest. Every reader has his own opinion and what he wants to see, so if everyone suggests what they want to read, who would the author listen to? Why him in particular and not others? Maybe you’ll get something good, but whose opinion is the best? What can determine that he is correct? There are too many people on this website. The most important question is: who is writing this? Who is the one expressing his thoughts?

作者谦虚是好事。但作者的谦虚，意思是作者要多读，多看，多写，自己把握，自己心里有杆秤，再自己去调整和练习就行了。而不是整天根据别人的建议改来改去。这种事别人插不上手。

以及，我不建议随便揣测作者心理。因为大多数都是错的，可揣测者却对自己的想象深信不疑，最后都会偏向恶意。

The author being humble is a good thing. But the author’s humbleness reflects that he needs to read, to examine and to write even more. He needs to practice and edit his own words. It’s not up to everyone else’s suggestions to improve his own writing. Others cannot intervene. I do not suggest trying to guess what the author is thinking at the time. Because the majority of what you think would be wrong, so the guesser would be confident in what he thinks is the right answer, and it would turn out sour.

无论我写什么，都会有人有意见。有人说我太任性了，故意折磨读者，整天写苦大仇深的东西，商业作者就该有商业作者的样子，不许这么任性，要懂得小心翼翼讨好粉丝。同时也有人说我变了，我无脑发糖，就知道讨好粉丝。真的很无奈。要不然，先统一一下意见吧。

No matter what I write, there will be opinions about it. Some have felt that I’m too flighty, I torture the readers, I write things about bitterness and revenge and published authors should have the behavior of published authors, I can’t be this choosy and picky, and I need to pacify the readers. Some have also said that I have changed, and I only know how to appease the fans. I cannot help but think: why don’t you unify your own thoughts on this.

但我也不喜欢评论区吵架。如果双方吵起来，又要被说这个作者粉丝好可怕啊见不得人家说不好，进而发散成粉丝脑残、作者好自大狂妄膨胀了——反正怎么说作者这边都有错，我很吃亏，很被动，所以我衷心请求大家，在评论区看到这样的评论，不要理睬，让它自然沉没就OK，不然越吵越久，打扰的还是大家看文的心情。

But I don’t like arguments in the review corner either. If two parties argue, there will be talk about how the fandom is quite scary, people here can’t agree, fans in this fandom will be braindead, the author is too proud. Whatever happens, the author is always wrong. I will always lose out, so I wish that everyone will not bother with this debate, let it sink and it’ll be ok, don’t argue more and more. All it will do is ruin everyone’s mood upon reading this.

其实现在已经开始修了，修好后会统一贴上去并发通知的。但因为这文修起来工程太大，JJ对修文也有很麻烦的限制，不知道会多久，在老四前还是老四后无法保证。还要看三次元和老四的破壳欲了。

Actually, it’s already in the process of editing. Once it has been fully edited, I will publish it as one post and inform everyone. 1.叶修到底有几个小号？ 1. How many side accounts does Ye Xiu actually have?

这不是我知道的，他自己也不太清楚。因为肯定有很多，所以他不会在意这些细节，你也不要在意。 A: This isn’t something I know, he himself isn’t too clear. He definitely has a lot, so he won’t pay too much attention to details like that, and you shouldn’t either.

2.你最喜欢哪对cp？ 2. What’s your favorite pairing?

以我的视角会把每对cp当成一个组合，都是很喜欢的。要说的话就是叶修和苏沐橙。 A: I personally treat every pairing as a partnership, and I like them all. If I had to pick, I’d say Ye Xiu and Su Mucheng.

3.最喜欢张新杰，想问有没有打算写第四赛季的番外或者我们家张新杰的番外？（现场一片“你们家”） 3. Zhang Xinjie is my favorite, I wanted to ask, do you have any plans to write a prequel about Season 4 or about our Zhang Xinjie? (live crowd echoes: “your” Zhang Xinjie?)

第四赛季的话会想一下。因为那一赛季如果要写内容比较多。因为那个赛季比较重要，很多正篇里的主要人物都会出场。如果要写张新杰可能会是其中之一，但不会是主角，因为那一赛季主角很多。 A: Season 4… I’d think about it. Because that season, if I were to write about it, there’d be a lot of content. Because that season was relatively important, a lot of important characters in the main novel would make an appearance. If I wrote it, Zhang Xinjie would probably be one of them, but he wouldn’t be the main character, because there were many main characters that season.

那会写霸图夺冠吗？ Q: Then will you write about Tyranny winning the championship?

你说了是今年暑假，那具体时间呢？ Q: You said it was this year’s summer, then when exactly?

具体没写大概就是七八月份。（这里吐槽非常激烈） A: I never said exactly, probably around July or August. (lots of audience complaining/mocking)

6、女神你害怕了吗？ 6. Are you scared of the goddesses?

我为什么要害怕。 A: Why would I be scared.

如果你继续写的话第十一赛季会不会是霸图冠军了？毕竟乐乐太哭逼了。 Q: If you continued to write, would Tyranny win in Season 11? After all, Lele is too tragic.

这种其实也算设定上的问题。（后面没有听清等我拿到小伙伴的那份录音会试着补上） A: This counts as a setup question. (didn’t hear the rest clearly)

那想法也没有吗？ Q: Then do you have any idea?

我要写才会想。 A: I think about it when I have to write it.

那你觉得霸图会有潜力拿冠军吗？乐乐加盟之后。 Q: Then do you think Tyranny has the strength to get the championship? After Lele joined.

每个队伍都有机会的。 A: Every team has a chance.

7、苏沐秋出场就死的设定是不是太草率了，还会有隐藏设定吗？ 7. Having Su Muqiu appear and then die, isn’t that too sloppy/hasty? Are there any hidden designs?

在一本书里有一个人死掉很普通的，这也不算什么有新意的。在我写的时候苏沐秋苏沐橙叶修都是一开始就设定好的，苏沐秋从一开始就是——啊。 A: Having one person die in a novel is very ordinary, this isn’t anything new. When I wrote this, Su Muqiu, Su Mucheng, Ye Xiu, they were all designed from the start, and from the very start Su Muqiu was… ah.

8、（我问哒！）在最后几场重要的季后赛，都是很久才写完的。想问一下，这么重要的比赛你今天的更新写完就先搁笔了，不会有一种很奇怪的感觉吗？ 8. (my question!) For the last few important playoffs battles, it took a long time for them to be finished. For such important battles, do you feel weird signing off when you finish the day’s update?

有些是边写边想的，但最后的比赛很重要都是早就想好的。 A: Some of it I wrote on the fly, but the last battles were very important and I’d planned them out long beforehand.

9、你有减肥的打算吗？ 9. Do you have any plans to lose weight?

没有。 Q: No.

10、有写新嘉世的打算吗？ 10. Any plans to write about New Excellent Era?

我现在写的都是之前的。以后的正篇没有打算。 A: Anything I’m writing now is all about the past. I don’t have plans to write official things about the future.

11、很多人对黄少的定义很标签化，能不能给黄少一个全面一点的评价？ 11. A lot of people’s definitions of Huang Shaotian are just sticking labels on him. Could you give Huang Shao an overall evaluation?

能用词语概括都是标签化的。（中间一段没有听清）就是机会主义吧，毕竟他大比赛时就是这样。至于话比较多是细节上的。 A: Any verbal descriptions are will have a lot of labels. (didn’t hear clearly the middle part) He’s an opportunist [overall], after all he’s like that in major battles. As for his talkativeness, that’s just a detail.

12、我们知道周泽楷和苏沐秋同样是神枪手，苏沐秋提前离开了《荣耀》舞台。那么以十年为一周期，周泽楷所在的战队叫作轮回。就战斗风格周泽楷和苏沐秋很像。以及苏沐橙放在娱乐圈也是一个不可多得的美人那么苏沐秋和苏沐橙是亲兄妹，那么苏沐秋也是一个放在娱乐圈也不可多得的帅哥。那么现在问题来了，虫爹你到底是以怎样的心态来创造周泽楷这个角色？（掌声） 12. We know that Zhou Zekai and Su Muqiu are both Sharpshooters, Su Muqiu left the Glory stage early. Then take a decade as one cycle, Zhou Zekai’s team is called Samsara [reincarnation]. In terms of playstyle, Zhou Zekai and Su Muqiu are very similar. 14、会不会有轮回番外？ 14. Will you write Samsara prequel?

番外是按时间来的，第五赛季暂时写不到。如果会写到，轮回会比较多。但不是以周泽楷为主要角色。 A: The prequels are in chronological order, for now I can’t reach Season 5. If I do, then I’ll write a lot about Samsara, but not with Zhou Zekai as the main character.

15、周泽楷和黄少天有强烈反差，黄少天选手对周泽楷怎么看呢？ 15. Zhou Zekai and Huang Shaotian are very opposite characters, what does Huang Shaotian think of Zhou Zekai?

其实也没有太大反差，就是一个话多一个话少。周泽楷就是很努力，黄少天更剑走偏锋一点。看法的话就是觉得对方都很优秀，不可能因为在这个方面上很强就看不起对方啊。 A: They’re actually not too opposite, just that one talks a lot while the other talks very little. Zhou Zekai just works very hard, Huang Shaotian’s sword takes a slanting path. In terms of opinion, they both think the other is very outstanding. 17、绕按垂杨的真名？就是蓝溪阁和蓝河一起的那个剑客。 17. Poplar Beach’s real name? That Blade Master that was in Blue Brook with Blue River.

这种小角色有什么关系啊。 A: What does such a minor character have to do with anything?

18、会对第四赛季叶秋打败王杰希做具体描写吗？ 18. Will you describe Ye Qiu fighting Wang Jiexi in Season 4?

第四赛季？他在第一赛季里就会遇到啊。为什么要放到第四赛季描写？（这里应该是虫爹口误） A: Season 4? They met in Season 1. Why would I have to describe them in Season 4? (BB probably misspoke here) [probably meant Season 3, not 1]

19、方士谦是什么时候封神的？ 19. When did Fang Shiqian become a god?

夺冠的那个赛季吧。第五赛季。会比较后面，因为毕竟第二赛季他还是个新人，那时候还很年轻。 A: Probably the year they won the championship, Season 5. It’d be toward the end, since after all he was still a rookie in Season 2, very young at the time.

他现在被人说很熊孩子，比较真性情，那什么时候会成长起来？和王杰希的关系什么时候会好起来？（大意如此） Q: Right now people are calling him a bad boy, relatively instinctive/impulsive, then when will he mature? When does his relationship with Wang Jiexi improve? (the general meaning of the question was this)

这个主要是场上的搭档，没什么好不好的。还是会一起努力的。 A: They’re mainly partners on the battlefield, nothing good or bad. They’ll still work hard together.

20、全职有点武侠风，你是不是有古龙金庸的武侠情节？ 20. QZGS has a bit of a Wuxia vibe, do you have any Gu Long / Jin Yong-esque plots? [two famous wuxia writers]

看的书不多，金庸古龙看得比较完整，印象也比较深刻。这一代写书的都会受金庸古龙的影响，个人偏爱古龙一些。如果说有一些影子的话，可能会受一些影响。 A: I haven’t read many novels, but I did see a lot of Jin Yong and Gu Long, and have strong impressions of them. All of the books written in this era will be influenced by Jin Yong / Gu Long, I personally prefer Gu Long a bit more. If I said there were a few shadows, there was probably some influence.

21、全职确定要拍电视剧吗？ 21. Is QZGS filming a TV adaptation?

版权是很早就售出了，但现在还没有正式启动。 A: The rights were sold early on, but for now there are no official actions. [2018: it’s in the works!]

如果启动会像三叔一样钦点角色吧？ Q: If it does go into production, will you handpick actors?

我应该不会吧。我不觉得自己会比专业的人做得更好。（现场嘈杂） A: Probably not. I don’t think I could do a better job than the professionals. (crowd becomes noisy)

22、最开始的叶修和现在已经退役的叶修有什么区别吗？ 22. The Ye Xiu at the very beginning and the now-retired Ye Xiu, are there any differences?

年龄变大了。 A: He became older.

性格上的变化呢？比如从浮躁到温柔？ Q: Changes in personality then? Such as going from impulsive to warm?

没有吧。他对《荣耀》坚持十年性格上不会有太大的改变。男主嘛。 A: Not really. His personality, maintaining Glory for ten years, wouldn’t have changed that much. He’s the male lead.

23、刘皓如果不是在嘉世，而是在微草爸爸——在微草的环境下性格会不会有什么改变，依旧这么狗屎—— 23. If Liu Hao wasn’t in Excellent Era, but under Tiny Herb’s Dad – under Tiny Herb’s environment, would his personality have any changes, or would he still be this shitty-

如果在微草不太好思考。但他这个人物我写得功利心稍微重一些，很多人是把这个竞技当做理想和目标，刘皓的话理想要差一些。他可能更加注重名气啊或者竞争力啊这些。 A: If he were at Tiny Herb, that’s hard to say. But his character, I wrote him a bit more utilitarian. Lots of people treat this competitive struggle itself as their dreams and goals, but Liu Hao’s dreams aren’t so noble. He might care more about fame or power or things like that.

24、唐柔和她的痴汉会有什么样的结局？ 24. Tang Rou and her idiot [Du Ming], will they ever have some sort of ending?

写那一段出于什么考虑，就是为了丰富一下人物吧。毕竟总是打来打去很枯燥。 A: I wrote that bit in order to flesh out the characters a bit more. After all, just fighting back and forth all the time would get very boring.

25、全职里除了包子还有谁染发？ 25. In QZGS, aside from Steamed Bun, who else has dyed hair?

呃，画手画成那个其实并不是染发，因为是二次元所以要区别人物。 A: Hm, what the artists draw isn’t really dyed hair, it’s more just to differentiate the characters as needed for 2D works [animations/comics/games].

黄少天的头发真的是黄的吗？苏沐橙的头发真的是橙色的吗？ Q: Is Huang Shaotian’s hair really yellow? Is Su Mucheng’s hair really orange?

可能是为了区别人物，但以我对世俗的看法大家应该都是黑发而已。 A: Maybe in order to differentiate the characters, but in my view of that world, everyone should have black hair.

那乐乐有小辫子吗？ Q: Then does Lele have a little ponytail?

我文里应该没写，画里画了那应该就是那样吧。 A: I never described it in the novel, but he’s drawn like that, so he’s just like that.

26、今天还有更新吗？ 26. Will there be an update today?

看签售结束是几点。 A: Depends on when this event ends.

27、孙翔在联盟里是不是智商就比较低啊？ 27: Is Sun Xiang’s IQ relatively low in the Alliance?

我觉得书里人没有智商上的问题大家都是性格问题，都是性格决定的。 A: I feel that no one in the novel has a problem of IQ, it’s all a problem of personality, it’s all determined by personality.

应该都没有吧。有时候可能会激发了一下灵感，但具体想不起来了，没有刻意地去写。跟有没有原型没有必然关系，不是有原型就会让人印象深刻，没有原型也可以写出来。因为不是某一个原型，而是好几个原型的。 A: There shouldn’t be. Sometimes there might be a feeling that they’re reminiscent of someone, but I can’t think of any specifics, and I wasn’t purposefully basing them off anyone. That doesn’t have to do with whether or not there was an inspiration, it’s not that if there is a specific inspiration it’ll leave a deep impression on people, if there’s no basis I can still write it out [?]. Because there isn’t one specific inspiration, there are lots of them.

想可能会想。因为不止这个，包括我们平时看足球比赛篮球比赛，也会想象某两个明星会在一起的场景。所以他们也会想，有这个想法非常正常，但现实就是这么残酷啊。 A: They might have thought about this. Because it’s not just this, it’s like how normally when we watch soccer or basketball, we’ll also imagine what it’s like if two stars teamed up. 退役这个决定和这个是没有关系的，我觉得就算知道了这个消息以他的性格肯定会退役的。比如说不是父亲把他推出来做这个事的话，他可能也会像韩文清一样不参加世邀赛。 A: His decision to retire has nothing to do with that. I feel that even if he knew about this news, with his personality, he would still retire. 因为我没有整理过设定。我是有一个技能树，会边写边往里填，但有时候会忘记往里填，后来那个台湾的繁体编辑，他就会问我为什么这个设定和文里不一样啊。（笑） A: Because I never organized the setup. I have a skill tree, I’d fill in it as I wrote, but sometimes I forgot that I put something there, and then that Taiwanese editor editing into traditional Chinese, he’ll ask me why this setup is different from the novel text. (laughs)

这个也是人设上的问题，是后期补上的，都是无关大题的小细节。 This is also a character design question, it was added later, small details that didn’t have much to do with the big picture.

他身体还可以。他虚胖，怎么可能会很好。 A: He’s in okay health. He’s a bit chubby, how could he be very healthy.

48、会有邱非番外吗？ 48. Will there be a Qiu Fei prequel?

按我的写法不会太多。 A: By my writing style, probably not too much.

如果苏沐秋没有死的话，他会和叶修一起打联赛，那么叶修第十赛季还会不会退役？ Q: If Su Muqiu hadn’t died, and he and Ye Xiu played in the League together, would Ye Xiu still retire in Season 10?

应该还是会退的。年纪大了，差不多了。 A: He probably still would retire. He’s old, it’s about time.

这本书关于网游游戏的，现实中虫爹有没有自己喜欢的电子竞技队？ Q: This novel is about gaming, does Bug Dad have any esports teams he supports in real life?

我不太清楚电子竞技队的情况，不好意思。《荣耀》的赛制更与NBA相似，角色的关系是参考F1的，我对电子竞技了解的不是特别多。 A: I’m not too sure on the status of various esports teams, I’m sorry. Glory’s competitive scene is similar to the NBA, the character’s relationships reference F1, I don’t understand too much about the competitive esports scene.

52、黄少被树砸死是怎么想到的？ 52. How did you think of Huang Shao being killed by a cut tree?

环境啊什么的都是胜利的因素，正好在树林里，这个事情就很合理地发生了。 A: The environment and whatnot is always a core part of victory, they were in a forest, so this thing very naturally happened.

黄少的生日快到了，有什么想说的吗？ Q: Huang Shao’s birthday is almost here, do you have anything you want to say?

生日快乐啊，还能说什么。 A: Happy birthday, what else is there to say.

53、DNF上有过虫爹的签名，和你平常的签名不太一样。它是有一个斜方向的，你平常更习惯平着签。 53. [smth about DNF and BB’s autographs; he doesn’t pay much attention when signing]

DNF’s background is a bit like western magic, and the character IDs are relatively poetic, like One Autumn Leaf, Desert Dust, Troubling Rain, and then in the middle there’s one called Swoksaar, which seems a bit different? How did you pick names?

是网游啊，网游里面角色取什么ID是没什么考虑的。比如说玩剑三也有不是武侠的名字。这是一个在网游里特别正常的现象，是合理性的表现。 A: It’s an online game, the character IDs in-game weren’t chosen with too much consideration. Such as when playing The Fate of Swordsman 3 they’re not all Wuxia names. This is a very common sight seen in online games, it’s a logical thing.

55、唐昊和孙翔的战术意识谁比较强？ 55. Tang Hao and Sun Xiang, who has a better tactical sense?

战术意识他们两个人不相上下，可能都是个人英雄主义色彩要浓一些。 A: In terms of tactics they’re both about the same, they might both be a bit strong on the “individual heroism” thing.

56、番外会不会写义斩啊？ 56. Will the prequel talk about Heavenly Swords?

啊？（虫爹这里明显愣了一下！！！他竟然愣了！！！）义斩在正文里比较多了。番外写十赛季以前的，义斩可能不会出现了。 A: Ah? (Bug Dad was noticeably taken aback here!!!) Heavenly Swords already appeared a lot in the main novel. The prequel is covering things before Season 10, Heavenly Swords probably won’t appear.

酷而已。我跟他的想法是一样的。这个不是他取的吧？是我取的。（笑）这个角色不是王杰希取的，是微草战队的之前就留下来的角色。 A: It’s just cool. I thought the same as him. The name wasn’t given by him, right? I named it. (laughs) This character wasn’t named by Wang Jiexi, it was a character passed on through Team Tiny Herb.

那你是怎么想的？ Q: Then what were you thinking?

我就觉得比较好听啊。 A: I just thought it sounded pretty nice.

虫爹关于今天分享会的总结： Bug Dad’s summary of today’s event:

呃·······还是希望大家不要老问设定上的问题，我们可以讨论文学性比较足的，换个方面的。因为五百万字还是会写了前面忘了后面的。有时候我想起来了会去翻前面，但是在我写番外的时候完全没有想到前面竟然已经出现了这个人物。如果我有疑点我会去原文里搜索一下。这种漏洞应该在文里有多少。我的文档不是一个整的文档，全职是一1700多个文档，每个文档3000字左右的散的，所以如果我要去找，要去修的话都不知道它在那个文档、哪一章里。所以一直只能这样将错就错的。但我觉得设定上的问题对于人物性格没有影响，大概就是像前面说的，那样弹药师和弹药专家或者人物名字来回换这样的硬伤吧。其他的我觉得不会影响剧情走向的漏洞没有。大概就这样吧。 Hm… I still hope that people won’t always ask about setup/design questions, we can discuss a lot about more literary things, change the perspective. Because when writing 5 million words, I still might write things and forget what I’ve written. Sometimes I’ll remember to check the beginning, but when I wrote the prequel I completely didn’t realize that there was already such a character appearing in the main novel. If I had doubts, then I’d search in the original text. There were probably a few such holes in the text. My text document isn’t a whole document, QZGS has 1700+ documents, each one with 3000 words scattered, so if I wanted to look, to fix, I wouldn’t even know which document, which chapter. So I could only just let the mistakes go. But I feel that problems in the setup shouldn’t affect the personalities of the characters, it should just be like the previous question said, with Spitfire or character names changing, those sorts of surface injuries. The others, I don’t feel they’d cause any weaknesses in the plot. That’s about it.

To be honest, I can' t get close to 95Rust's locked room until episode three. And after I had seem a lot of films and rewatch TD, I found how your performance was incredibly delicate and innovative is.

但我从12Rust一露面就迷恋上了他。比起你年轻时的容颜，我更爱你如今备受摧残的面容。

But I'm obsessed with 12Rust the first second he showed up. "I loved your face of a young man less than the one you have now, devastated."

Your command of words is unfuckingbelievable. Your voice delivers intensive and delicate emotions that moves audience. The way you describe an event is so vivid, enable audience create a picture of the event without watching it. What a a great storyteller you are!You give words and sentences lives, andestablish a specific world of a man by means of voice.

初版剧本（真希望Nic能公开最终版剧本）在12Rust谈及卧底生涯和妻女时是有闪回的。我不知道为什么Nic和Cary最后决定把所有闪回取消，也许是想着重两个时空，不再横生枝节。

In the draft script of the first episode (May Nic release the final version?) There are some flashback about Rust's family and his undercover life. I don't know why Nic and Cary decided to cut them all, maybe they want to focus on two spacetime.

但把这些闪回全部删掉是对的。观众从你的声音、眼神、肢体和表情中，就已经可以看到那些画面。他们在脑海中描绘出那些事，并深深理解那对Rust的影响。你的表演甚至比真的看到那些画面更令人觉得真实。要是闪回插来插去反而就打断你如此美妙的表演了。

It is right to delete all those flashback. Audience got enough information from your voice, eyes, body and face already. They can picture those events in their mind, and understand how the events influenced Rust by your solo. Your performance provided an even "realer" experience than showing the actual scenes. It would be a disgrace to let those flashback interrupt your enchanted performance.

Nic曾经说：“如果当初是比马修弱一些的演员来演科尔，我就不得不重写这个角色了。”但他却给你加了更多更奇怪的台词，可见他对你的信心，而你也没让他失望。

Nic once said "If we’d had a lesser actor than Matthew playing Cohle, I would have had to rewrite the role.". He write even more and stranger lines for you instead, he really count on you, and you did not let him down.

例如原剧本中“在另一些时刻，我认为我是在直视事物的本来面貌”变为了“绝大部分时刻我认为我已经摆脱了那感受，但在另一些时刻，我觉得自己仍沉溺于探索宇宙的神秘真相中”。后者更有cosmic humor的感觉，世界观也更恢弘，同时暗示了《真探》的两个大主题：“幻象与真实”和“主客位的错觉”。这句话要是出自弱一些的演员之口会非常荒唐可笑，但天啊你完美地驾驭到了，让第二集“Seeing Thing”在庄严神秘的气氛中终结。

For example, "And other times I thought I was seeing straight into the true heart of things." in the draft script becomes"most of the time I was convinced that I'd lost it. But there were other times,I thought I was mainlining the secret truth of the universe". The later one provides a sense of cosmic horror, a boarder worldview, and imply two of the themes of "TD": "illusion and reality" and "false illusion of subject-object ego”. It will be a ridiculous line when it come from a lesser actor's mouth, but omg you just delivered the line perfectly, made episode two"Seeing Thing" ended in a solemn atmosphere.

如果说之前我就对你塑造的12Rust五体投地的话，那看了前两集原剧本之后，我就更加五体陷地了。

Before I saw the first two episodes in the draft script,I had already admired you greatly for 12Rust,but now,I can't help admiring you with all my heart.

我知道12Rust要不是你演就不是我深爱的面貌了。

But for your performance,I know 12Rust would have been anybody but not the one I love deeply.

从原剧本中其实看不出编剧要12Rust的说话方式和姿态和95Rust相差那么大，但在屏幕上，12Rust时而严肃时而诙谐，如此风骚如此屌，全然不同。

From the original script,I can't find appreciable distinction between 12Rust and 95Rust.But on the screen,the manner and posture of 12Rust are totally changed,he alternates humor with severity,which is so charming and cool.

According to the craft script,the detectives' first impression of 12Rust was aggressive,dangerous and lupine.

到第二集原剧本才写到12Rust因为喝了酒才半放松，也就是说之前都是很绷紧的状态。

The script mentions that 12Rust became semi-relaxed with his beer until the episode two,which means he was tight before.

然而，在你的演绎下，他无疑是危险的，同时也是好整以暇，游刃有余的，一切尽在掌握之中。

However, in your performance,he was unmistakably dangerous, but he was also very laid back all the time. It seems everything is under his control.

他对警探的态度是好战的，具挑衅性的，但却像猫玩弄老鼠一般，而不因受压而抱有敌意的。他甚至有些轻松合作的样子，但是以一种无惧和无所谓的高姿态。（无所谓可能是装出来的）

Maybe he is belligerent, but not hostile,not out of pressure.He was like playing cat and mouse with the detectives.He was quite cooperative,but kept look down to the detectives out of fearless and careless. (Or "pretended" to be careless)

It looks like he was not being interrogated,they were.

That's why Cary said he can't micromanage a performance like that, you have your own ways of locating your character, bringing yourselves into character and letting yourselves out of it. All of those interrogation scenes were on your shoulders—he just let the camera go.No doubt, your performance turns a obvious room into a stunning showcase.

I found Nic used"I believe", "I think" and "perhaps" sometimes when talk about Rust. In contrast, you always so certain you know Rust inside out. Creators may like to left something unknown about the character, leaves enough imagination room for himself and audience.

然而，一个表演者一定要想到创作者也没想到的地方，才能赋予角色以生命，使得创作者头脑中模糊的形象突然清晰：“他就是Rust！”他将不再觉得有他人选。我相信你就使Nic感到这般幸福。

However, a performer must think more than the creator wrote to make the character real, clarify the vague image in the creator's mind:"He IS Rust!". And realise that there is no anyone else can play this part. I am sure you made Nic feel such a great happiness.

很好奇你是有什麼时候加上「我认为自己是现实主义者」这句的，如果你在结���之前就把Rust洞察得那麼深，你简直是个天才。

I'm really curious about when did you want to add "I consider myself a realist", If you have this idea before Nic finish the final episode, you are a genius for real.

但我相信你和Nic在Crash和12Rust两个阶段是有分歧和冲突的。原剧本中“ 三年了，我无法让我公寓的墙壁停止窃窃私语，或者令地毯的纤维不再高声尖叫” 被删去了，不知道这是不是跟你认为Rust其实更享受Crash的生活形式有关？或者这是Nic根据你的voice而改写的？Rust确实不应该在两警探面前示弱。而取而代之的那段 “没有他妈的刑满之日，宝贝” ，你屌屌的神态真是太迷人了。Crash没有刑满之日，你对自己的惩罚也没有刑满之日，对此你选择自嘲而非自怜。

I believe there are some conflict between you and Nic though. For example, in the draft script, 12Rust said "Three years of that and I couldn’t get the walls in my apartment to stop whispering. Or the carpet fibers to quit their high-pitched shrieking..." It was deleted, I'm wondering if it was because you thought Rust enjoy Crash's life even more? Or it was Nic decided to retool it for your voice? Rust indeed should show no weakness in front of the detectives. This line replaced by "And there is no fucking expiration date, baby", which showed a charming swagger.Yeah, there is no fucking expiration date for Crash, and there is no fucking expiration date for Rust's punishment on himself as well.12Rust choosed self-deriding over self-pity.

我很庆幸他们把Crash时期的闪回全部删去，这令那时期更神秘。虽然Crash是我喜爱程度最低的状态，他依然叫我浮想联翩。

I'm glad that the flashbacks of Crash's life were deleted, it kept the history mysterious. Although Crash was the least favourite Rust's stage of mine, he still make my imagination run.

Your command of words is fascinating, but the blank-leaving in your performance are amazing as hell too. When 12Rust was talking about the death of his daughter, that silence, that blanked eyes and face showed the deepest sorrow. Your power of wordless is as powerful as your command of words.

爱死你说北岸精神病院时那张嘲讽脸了。这种嘲讽态度也是原剧本没有的。或者这是Nic 加的？因为同样增加的还有95Rust跟Lucy说那段"I can do terrible thing to people with impunity"，我想这就是12Rust轻蔑北岸的原因。他不后悔杀了那几个流氓，但警察可以以精神病为由逃避法律制裁还是令Rust觉得很讽刺。

I love the scorn you showed when talking about "North Shore", there is no such an attitude in the draft script. Maybe it is Nic's intent, because there is one more related scene add: "I can do terrible thing to people with impunity" 95Rust said. Maybe that's why Rust contemned "North Shore", he did not regret that he had killed those outlaw, but a police officer run away from legal sanction is very irony to him.

Another possible conflict between you and Nic is: Did 12Rust want to kill himself ?

Nic说： “科尔让马蒂很清楚地明白，他想死亡，并将这个案子作为死前必须先解决的事”后来似乎Marty是知道Rust想死所以瞒著Rust找警探合作？Rust在轰掉Errol，救了Marty后拔掉刀子也像是求死。

Nic said "Cohle makes clear to Marty that he wants to die and views this case as something he has to solve first." (at the end of episode seven?). Marty seems like he knew Rust wants to die, so he did not tell Rust he was cooperated with the detective? After Rust killed Errol and saved Marty, he pulled out the knife. It looks like he did want to kill himself, I mean, everybody knows such act will make you die faster!

但你在那本令我等粉丝垂涎的笔记中却写到 “...他绝不向失败低头。他不会发疯，也不会自杀。每一日，他都在与内心的魔鬼搏斗，他意识到这个过程会比他希望的长上很多” 似乎自杀这想法对12Rust来说没有95年时那麼吸引了。何况在他相信的永劫轮回理论里里，要是他自杀了，也只会在同样的人生中重生，不是依旧无法走出暴力和坠落的循环，依然失败了吗？

However, In you 450-page graph－which we fans wanted badly－you wrote " ...He will not accept defeat.He's not going become a madman,he's not going to kill himself. He wrestles the devil every day, and he realizes that this may last a lot longer than he ever hoped for." It seems suicide is not as attractive as it was in 1995 to Rust. What's more, in the theory(Eternal return) he believes, if he kill himself, he will reborn into the same life, so he will be failed to tie off the circle of violence and degradation, and it is defeat.

我知道"you own your man",但在对角色的理解跟编导发生矛盾时你是怎样处理的呢？Nic最令我费解的安排是让Rust离开案件整整八年，他逃走了，他「转移了视线」。这安排纯粹是为了让Rust过颓废的日子，且迅速衰老吗？很想知道你是怎麼理解的。

I know "You own your man", the most confused plot made by Nic is let Rust left his case for eight years, he ran, he"averted his eyes". Is Nic just want to make Rust having decadent lifeand aged quickly? How did you understand this plot?

综观你和Nic的访谈（当然我不能说我全部都看了），似乎你口中的Rust要比Nic的硬气。你的表演给Rust注入了一股强而有力的生命力。那是一种病态的，不健康的，生锈般的（rusting)生命力，却异常顽强，彷如地狱之火熊熊燃烧。

Having watch the interviews of you and Nic (Not all of them though), your Rust seems tougher than Nic's. You give Rust so much energy, and enormous vitality, a kind of sick, unhealthy, rusting vitality, but remarkably indomitable, like the raging fire from hell.

这种生命力使得Rust最后的苏醒也没那麼突兀了。无论是基於遗憾还是不甘於失败，还是只想看看自己有没有还清债，在「最后的十亿分之一秒」，他无法let go。他强烈的求死意志被更强烈的求生欲击败了。他离开他爱的家人和死亡，选择回到他痛恨的人类和生命之中。

Such vitality makes Rust's "reborn" more convincing. What' the reason? Regret? Not accept defeat? Want to make sure the debt is paied? However, "in the last nanosecond", he can't "let go". His strong death wish beated by his stronger instinct of being alive. He left family and death, which he loves, but come back to human race and ife, which he hates.

Nic在真探之前就有打算写一个虚无主义者，但他虽然喜欢看虚无主义的文章，自己却完全不是虚无主义者。而Rust也从来都不是一个真正的虚无主义者。虚无主义是「正确」的，但却是反人类感情的。而Rust天生就是个感情强烈的人。

Nic want to write a nihilist before TD, he enjoy article about nihilism, but he is not a nihilist, so did Rust. Nihilism is "true", but it is againest human's emotion. And Rust was born to be an emotionally intense man.

Rust的脑袋「知道」虚无主义者那一套是对的，但他黑白分明的是非观、严苛的道德观、异於常人的正义感和罪恶感都深深地烙印在他的身体上，完全跟混沌的虚无主义背道而驰。在他生命中每一次选择，每一次行动，他都更遵循身体本能而非脑袋。他从来都不是一个理智的男人。

Rust's brain "knows" Nihilism is true. But his black and white sense of wrong and right, strict moral code, extreme sense of justice and guilt is inside his body, they are his nature,such nature againest the void and ruleless nihilism.Throughout his life, he always let his body, not brain, to make decisions and take actions. He is never a rational man.

一直以来他都比Marty更坚定地站在正义的那一方，不是在嘴上，也不是在精神上支持，而是用行动永远站在正义的那一方。如Nic所言，是真正的英雄。

Rust always take the side of justice, firmer than Marty did. Not by means of words or thoughts, but action. As Nic said, he is a true hero.

《真探》的主题：混沌虚无和二元对立，都体现Rust矛盾的言行中。要表现出这种强烈的对立，同时又要令人信服地融合在一个人身上，相信这是真正存在的人是极难的。但你却超额完成了。

The contradiction of Rust's words and action embodied the themes of TD: "chaotic nihilism" and "binary opposition". To show such intensive opposition in one character, and make audience convinced that he is a real person, is really difficult. But you just marvelously made it.

我知道你不喜欢用那麼多形容词，其实我都快没词可用了。那麼多形容词都无法形容你表演之万一。这麼说吧，这是我看过最好的表演，第二名在一光年之外。

I know you don't like adjectives, in fact I'm almost run out of them. No matter how much adjectives I used, they cannot describe how great your performance is. Let's put it this way, it is THE best performance I've ever seen, the second place may be one light-year away.

除了真探之外，我认为你最好的表演是《达拉斯买家俱乐部》和《杀手乔》。

Aside from True Detective,I think "Dallas Buyers Club"＆"Killer Joe"are your best performances.

那是两种完全不同方向，但是差不多水平的表演。（但我相信拍摄时后者应该是更难的）相同的是你即使演这麽戏剧性的角色还是那麽自然。

They are two contradictory performances, but both of them maintained the highest quality.(playing Ron must be more difficult though)Your acting was very natural, despite the roles are very dramatic.

DBC是一个要令观众走入主角内心，感他所感，想他所想的表演，你把Ron每一刻的情绪都细腻丰沛地表现出来，令观众理解和感动，对这无赖逐渐由轻视变为敬佩。

The performance in DBC intended to let audiences come into Ron's heart,share his will and woe.You showed Ron's emotions delicately and powerfully in every moments, Thus the audiences are totally understood and moved,their contempt to a "redneck" shaded into admiration.

《杀手乔》的表演却完全不同，如你所说他不要跟任何人好好相处，其实也包括观众。

But the acting in Killer Joe is completely different from DBC,as you said,Joe didn't need to get on well with anybody,actually,including the audiences.

His mission is frighten the audiences,keep them out of his door.

他必须深不可测，不轻易表露情感，即使表露也不是以正常人的方式。

我想对表演者来说，在《杀手乔》这种角色、这种电影，比起挖掘内心，更要考虑的是自己在观众眼中的效果。可能这也是你在sag的conversion with Matthew McConaughey中说乔没有repertoire的意思？比起流露感情，维持那股神秘感和气势似乎更重要。

I guess when an performer act such a role in such kind of movie, he may consider more about how to maximize his effect on audience than explore the character's heart. May be that's why you said Joe did not have repertoire?To keep mysterious and awesome seems more important than express emotions.

除了鸡翼那段邪典经典外，我还有两幕特别喜欢的。一个是Joe由温柔哄多蒂出来到命令她换衣这段……

Aside from that classic cult scene, the chicken scene, there are two scenes I like in particular. First is, from Joe gently encourage Dottie come out the room, to order her to exchange clothes.......

天啊我居然有几分钟真的以为他是个真心喜欢上多蒂的痴情温柔的好青年……

OMG there are several minutes I truely believe he was a gentle man who seldom in love with anyone did in love with Dottie........

这种反差，这种无法预测，差点把我吓哭。前一秒他还表现如此真诚，似乎女主是他最宝贝的人，下一秒却对她做出最可怕的事。更难得的是你转换得如此自然，浑然天成。

The contrast , the unpredictability you showed scared me out of my wits. Just a second before, he was so nice and sincere, and treated Dottie like she is the most valuable treasure he ever found, then he did the most terrible thing to her. Your shift from gentle to scary was incredibly natural.

另一幕是晚餐戏。显然你没有把Joe演成扁平化的变态，从这幕可以看出他对家庭满满的向往。他假装这是一次家庭晚餐，但那只是他以命令的方式构筑的假象，他就像一个不知道正常家庭为何物的小孩强迫别人扮演他的家人，他们当然不是他的家人。

Another scene is the dinner scene. It is obvious that you didn't play Joe as a flat freak, we can see Joe really yearn for family from this scene. He want to make it like a family dinner, but it was just an illusion build up by his orders. Of course they are not his family, he was like a child have no idea what a normal family look like, and force others to playing house with him.

所以当最后Joe最后知道他爱的女人为他生下真正的家人时，你认为那时Joe的救赎，他是狂喜的，而不是导演认为的恐惧。

Therefore, when Joe knew the woman he loves will give born to his real family, you think it will be a deliverance to Joe, so he looks ecstasy, but not scared, which suggested by the director.

最后，《杀手乔》的导演真是把你拍太华丽了⋯⋯

《达拉斯买家俱乐部》完全是由表演撑起来的电影，你在片中的表演真是好到令人心碎，你的电影角色里我也最喜欢Ron。Ron他的缺点多到数不完，但我爱坚强的人，而他简直坚不可摧。

Performance is everything in "Dallas Buyers Club", and your performance is heartbreaking, Ron is my favourite character in your films. Ron had hundreds of defects for sure, but I love strong man, and he is almost invincible.

他如此低俗又如此高贵，为生命拚尽全力奋斗至最后一分一秒，绽放出最耀眼最朴实无华的人性光辉。我无法说出哪幕演得最好，全程都如此难忘，尤其是那对表达出各种浓烈感情的眼睛。

He was so vulgar and noble at the same time. He was fighting for life with all his strength, illuminated the most primordial brilliance of humanity. I can't point out one best scene, it was so unforgettable from the beginning to the end, your eyes did a great job.

从Ron出现的那一刻，一个的低下阶层的市井流氓就跃然於银幕上。后来到在图书馆确定自己染上HIV，跟医生争辩，在车内绝望崩溃，重拾希望从墨西哥驶回德州，装牧师过关，重创於机场洗手间，在超市为Rayon讨回公道，Rayon死后去医院大闹，嫖妓时由意图放弃的恍惚到振作起来的痛苦，最后跟女医生的剖白……

A coarse redneck was appeared vividly on screen when the first time Ron showed up. Such great performance followed by serial amazing scenes: confirmed he was HIV-positive in library, negotiate with the doctor, desperated in the car, bounced back in mexico and drive to Texas, pretended to be a priest, suffered in theairport toilet, do Rayon justice in the supermarket, gone mad in hospital after Rayon died, gone painfully clear-headed from give-up absent-minded in front of a prostitute, confessed with the doctor at the end......

精彩之处不胜枚举，从头到尾人物的情绪是多麼丰沛又真实地表现出来，令观众都深受感动，难怪家属更是难以承受了。

Every scene is wonderful and real, the emotion of the character was bleeding. No wonder it was unbearable for Ron's family, even audience who know nothing about Ron would be deeply deeply touched.

虽然我说《杀手乔》和《达拉斯买家俱乐部》是南辕北辙的表演方式，但其实你在《真探》就完美揉合了这两种方式，兼具震慑力和感染力，既神秘莫测又感人至深。

Although I think "Killer Joe" and "DBC" are two contradictory performances, but you actually combine these two kinds of acting in TD, Rust was oppressing and expressing, unfathomable but emotional.

纯粹以演技来说，你是我最爱的演员。你每个表演都充满力量，活力四射，你沉静的力量更是愈来愈强大。热切期待你往后演的所有角色！Just keep acting！祝你和你家人幸福美满！

Santa Monica，CA （Shore Hotel）

1. 今天刚刚结束了为期5.5个月的中国“隔离”休养，回到了我爱的Santa Monica。回来计程车一路嘴都在上扬—好久没有这么开心过啦，感觉空气都充满了朝气，心里一阵对未来的希望感觉。

2. 在经历了漫长的等待，适应，庆祝，习惯，面对自己的社会现实，事实过后（比如自己喜爱的要$12的Nectar大杯纯绿色鲜榨蔬果汁——开始节俭注意价格了，才发现果汁折合要70RMB，真是有些小轻奢；哎，最近清肠，就把它做午饭了吧。有些时候价格贵些的东西即使稀少也会让我们有更多的饱足感，说来也很神奇）（oh，还有好消息，总共$2000的政府救济金，还有坏消息，$900被我以为是好朋友的中年男人偷的钱。真的是没钱了才更体会到钱的珍贵。以前每月拿$1800失业费的时候，都没有什么感觉，可能钱来的太容易，只要填填表格。现在被自己搞破产了欠债了，真的没有钱了，靠的爸爸妈妈来给房租伙食，尤其是美国花人民币这么贵，这次近距离接触他们的节俭生活后，才觉得钱来的真的不容易，需要好好感恩，珍惜）。

3. 钱是个神奇的东西。公司政府金融机构讲的是政策法律收益，似乎集团越大跟制度越接近，跟个人越脱节，只是个数字，感觉冷冰冰的。而家长里短的茶米酱醋，钱不再是冷冰冰的数字，它活了起来，孕育了爱和心血和付出回报，和平日的小幸福和感动。用冷冰冰的商业模式去管理家财，或许多了一些掌控感，却同时也失去了份人情味吧。但是过度感情用事消费也不好，为自己纯开心，容易早透支，超出自己能力（像我之前一样狂max out credit cards，是一种躁狂极端的行为反应）；当然另外一种极端，过分节俭，完全为了数字而丧失了生活质量，亲情友情，也不好。两者还是要平衡的。

4. 我们生活很多的大智慧就是不断的在寻找各种事情的平衡点，和共存性。

5. 晚上休息，在灵修冥想来了好多灵感之后，写了看起来不成句的“精神病人专有语言”—- 其实我觉得是大智慧，可是很难和“普通人”解释清楚，已经太esoteric，而且一般人每天刷刷IG脸书朋友圈抖音，哪有时间想那些quantum space的大道理。嘿，恰巧这方面就是我的领域。也是慢慢退出了快速社交的节奏之后，屏蔽了自己的所有社交账号后，这些知识才慢慢show themselves to me。

6. 如何定义知识的价值？似乎虚幻又是实在的体验。哎，这么世俗的事情，还是留给世俗version的人们去回答吧。不是说互联网一个concept都能吵很火吗。我们这里聊聊哲学感情人生，谈钱不就有点俗了嘛。是吧，哈哈。

7. 写这本书呢，是想让大家了解一下精神病人们的内心世界。毕竟大部分人都不是精神病，也没有bi polar。“我们这些人”（也是所谓感性的人，艺术家，feeling emotion drive），花那么多的精力和时间，去了解“你们那些人”（理性的人，商人，thinking logic drive）的知识结构，现在也是你们这些人来了解一下我们的时候了吧。互相进步成长。

8. 其实每一个人都在feeling和thinking上摆渡，没有谁是完全的100%哪个极端。应该是一个spectrum。

9. 社会喜欢统一化，中庸。你出了格就觉得你不正常，挂个精神病的label，另眼相待。但是大自然母亲honor diversity，大千世界，无奇不有，鼓励每一种植物动物都活出自己的精彩。

10. 我来这里之前一直pray for direction，谁知刚来过，大地母亲就在meditation中显灵了，强烈的告知我要走的路是启蒙人，老师，作者，哲学家的身份。这很明了了。写作分析逻辑神学一直是我以前潜心研究的课题们，是后天的努力结果；但骨子里其实就是个很小女人很感性的小猫咪，是个艺术家。日记从12岁开始写，基本就没停过。坚持了这么多年，终于要有些起色了吧。

11. 当然很感性的人，外面杂事干扰你的就少，或者不为它们所动。当抛开那层“世俗”的保护伞后，才发现骨子里寂寞难耐，毕竟刚刚离开父母的长期陪伴。换做以前的话，会说去找个谁陪谁，填补空白，很容易就变成了co-dependent。真正的艺术家又很难被纯的利益关系填补到自己的灵魂缺口，所以一定要找一个自己擅长的，一直陪伴自己的方式来release & express。

12. 这不，在我没有本地信用卡不能下载App （比如tinder），Covid19 也不能怎么社交的情况下，给前人发了自己都觉得很卑微的消息后（估计也不会回复，哎），睡了2-3个小时又醒了，又决定detox不太吃东西—-在把这些乱七八糟的unhealthy distracting的路都断了之后，Writing 写作，这个多年的好朋友就像我招手啦。hello，我在这里呢！不是你以前就觉得，发生的都是为了让本子上的故事更精彩？还有媒体里，不记录的就不存在？女人本来就喜欢把small变large，有了细心的眼睛什么都是有值得发现的地方（比如今天等了7小时，到最后4pm才check in，心情烂到谷底，却发现酒店给我留的竟然是间king bed suite，是一间套房！这运气也太好啦，还好朝着另外一边，隐秘性比较强，然后还有美美的浴缸！先抑后扬，惊喜！赞）

13. 在和别人在一起的时候，有很多时候可以肆无忌惮的去感知享受生活。比如以前和Eric相处的时候，会特意的渐渐不想用手机或电脑，会多想把精力留给眼前的人一些。只有他人不在了，我一个人才开始补习写作，灵感不断（反正之前风言风语写了很多自己喜欢的东东，别人看不看的懂我也不太了解，可能大部分的人会 “meh”一下，没关系，反正大部分人也看不懂博士论文—那你能说博士论文就没价值吗？同频的人才会共震吧）。

【BL漫画感想】郊狼I 第一卷

这部可谓是一开始就有把我惊艳到！因为入BL的坑后很长一段时间看的都是韩漫，对日漫不是很了解（甚至很不习惯黑白配色和分页）（现在想真是错过一个亿），所以有一天看到兰丸老师的烟与酒精的封面时就有被惊到，然后顺着一路摸到Coyote这里。（吸气）实在是！太香了！我承认我是一个狗血和美型画风爱好者，所以这本里的所有设定（���设，台词，剧情，场景）都可以说是完美的契合在我的爱好上（或者说是兰丸重塑了我的喜好）。因为很喜欢，所以终于忍不住想要试试写自己的感想和漫画分析--虽然完全不专业。

郊狼I 第一卷（交代狼人背景，马琳和莉莉在酒吧初次交谈，街头袭击，狼人大本营/和Galland对立形式，莉莉发情期来到，马琳提议去Moulin Rouge）

i. 交代背景 — 带入狼人背景  （setting：城市）开头的几篇彩页从莉莉眼睛的特写开始，然后是狼的喘气声和在屋檐上跑过的画面，最后是莉莉在某楼顶上俯瞰整个城市的定格。旁白：Mingling in the human world, wolves that hide in the shadows dwells here； （我日语还不好，所以看的是英文版哈哈哈）

第一次看的时候因为关注剧情所以这一块很快跳过了，没有什么深刻印象。不过现在看来应该是交代了故事大的基调（城市里有狼）和莉莉的狼人身份吧。原来莉莉才是先出场的角色，不过也确实应该，毕竟标题就是coyote。这一段细想起来也很立体，很有电影感，特别是狼喘息的特写和狼群在屋顶上跑过的镜头，搭配下面的人惊慌的抬起头的一瞬间（感觉可以想象出脚步声，呼吸声，和惊呼声）。最后引入莉莉的出场+城市特写 —？像是电影手法拉远镜头这样？

呼应后来的情节，这里应该是莉莉和几只其他的狼人在执行任务。奔跑的狼有可能是在躲避Galland族人的追逐。

*还有什么其他的开篇方式吗？我感觉有点难以想到（这个开篇对于我来说很完美了）。首先，莉莉和狼人的要素都交代的非常简洁明了，呼应题目。同时通过配色塑造出了一种危险的ambience，虽然这时候读者还不知道狼人和Galland的对立关系，但是已经可以从人们的表现隐约感觉到狼群并不是受欢迎的存在（不可能像Remnant一样和人类和谐共处吧哈哈哈）。

*(或许可以从狼奔跑，然后莉莉从狼变身回人类的镜头开始？—可是这样的话显得太累赘了，而且揭露身份也太直白了吧/大家看过简介，应该都已经知道是狼人的故事/， 而且如果是这样的话莉莉为什么要变回人之类留下的疑问太多了） *(所以这一段应该也是稍微在hint莉莉的狼人身份，点到为止 — 之后他的发情就不会来的太突兀）

ii. 角色登场 — 马琳和莉莉的初次交谈 （setting：地下酒吧）酒吧镜头由远到近—刚刚是莉莉俯瞰城市，现在从城市切到街景然后不断拉近。（呃这种是不是也是电影常用手法） 整体氛围明显更明亮欢快了，感觉已经可以听到马琳的钢琴声！根据楼梯的场景可以看出，马琳在的酒吧是在地下（感觉增加了隐秘性？像是纽约的地下酒吧一样，让整体的氛围更亲密更暧昧）。切进酒吧当然要给一个整体环境的描绘，最后转移到正在谈钢琴的马琳身上。

我觉得很妙的一点是，马琳并没有一下子就露脸。分镜的形式是（弹钢琴的手—背景—和抬头的动作— 顺着马琳的目光转到莉莉的脸的特写—最后才回到马琳的脸）。只用6格就介绍了两个角色，他们的暧昧关系，和马琳在这段关系的主导地位。

*（话说定情是通过人群中的对视这一桥段真是百看不厌啊，大家都在开玩笑说郊狼是罗密欧与朱丽叶的故事，但这段真的让我想到罗密欧和朱丽叶在舞会上的初见/也是一眼万年。说不定兰丸老师在画的时候确实有参考莎士比亚呢！）

两人的交谈：M: Hey, Lili. L: Always the same song, huh Marlene? M: I Play “Lili Marleen” for you, Lili. L: Who’re you calling Lili? M: But you’re calling me … Marlene. L: Neither one is a name you’d call a guy!

这一段台词细看也很妙。我承认一开始看的时候我非常困惑（比如为啥马琳直接叫莉莉 “莉莉”，为啥他们看起来又像是初次搭话又好像已经知道了对方的名字）。直到我反复看了几遍才意识到Lili Marlene这个reference（然后立刻去搜来循环听了hhh)，然后觉得这个搭话技巧和营造出的氛围也太——浪漫，太—— 默契了吧！首先，他俩肯定是见过好几次了，莉莉常年光顾这个酒吧就为了听琴，而马琳也一直注意着他，但直到今天马琳才跟他搭话，可是不是说“我可以知道你的名字吗”或者“你又来啦”之类的，而是直接称呼他为Lili。莉莉也明显get到了这个reference，从而称马琳为Marlene。*（大喘气，这种小情侣之间的默契/暗号什么的实在是太戳了，默契真是塑造fated match必用伎俩啊）*（呼应之后的情节，这样开篇也是为了后来两人的误会埋下伏笔—两人都不想让别人知道自己的身份，虽是出于不同原因，倘若马琳直接问莉莉的名字，估计不会得到答案。而倘若他自曝叫Joshua，那估计直接全剧终）

莉莉之后的“两个都不是男人的名字”也好的凸显了莉莉有点傲娇的性格。首先，他一定对马琳有好感，所以不经意的也played his game，但是当他清醒过来（因为知道自己的身份是狼人，不便和人过多接触）就立刻划清界限了：你叫谁莉莉呢！（哼） *（小狼这个性格我可太吃了/捂住胸口）

酒吧楼梯马琳追出去，在楼梯上进行壁咚和初次勾搭，不过被莉莉呛回来："you say so, but you’re hesistant. “ 留下马琳一个人：”Lili, it’s as you say, …I am hesitating. When I’m being stared at by those amber eyes … I’m too scared to take another step. But …you’re the same, right?” 这一段让我觉得马琳其实已经知道了莉莉的狼人身份（但是这跟他后来的表现有冲突），或者，他们两人的身份是对立阵营这一点（他也意识到他们两个其实都怕再进一步的发展，因为虽然莉莉不知道他是Galland人，但是碍于狼人身份他也一定不会想和人类有过多接触）。 *（吐槽：不过就看莉莉那个明显的动物瞳孔，马琳和他贴这么近看一眼啥都明白了吧）

马琳走下楼梯，看到Marlene Dietrich的相框歪了，扶正，说出全篇我最爱的一句台词：”To be given your name as a nickname, is an honor. Beloved archangel, Madame Marlene Dietrich.” 听抓的时候兴津那华丽丽的声线配上这一句我真的是差点心脏骤停了。这一句应该就是点题（暗示没听过lili marlene的读者去听一下的意思hhh) 同时这一个结尾也很妙啊，感觉像是漫画的fade out的形式，因为下一个场景的转换比较大，所以这里给一个转折，没有戛然而止在马琳远望莉莉背景。

iii. 正式交掉背景冲突，引出其他角色街头这一段就是“正剧”了吧哈哈，首先是城市里人们的对话，凸显出了大家都不待见狼人这件事。再加上暴露在的街上尸体，直接表现出了冲突的严重性。这里（虽然我第一次的时候看根本没注意）马琳听到路人议论尸体是Galland的时候的表情沉了一下呼应之后他的身份和他对自己家族的不齿。同时远处的巷子里有两只狼人在观察形势。

狼人大本营狼人大统领（喂）大头目Kiefer在向狼人们阐述事件的严重性和和Galland的纷争。联系之前明里暗里的冲突，可以看出局势十分紧张。最后可以看出莉莉也是狼人计划中的一环，他有任务/必要时会和Galland起武力冲突的那种。*（斗胆期待之后受伤之类的狗血剧情/ ///） *（诺兰也好帅啊） *（脑中自动回放：Verone ~ Verone ~)  最后Kiefer负责解说Galland和狼人的过去恩怨情仇，还有强调：“狼人一定一定不能向人类暴露自己的身份哦” （果然最后一句才是重点吧）

iv. 酒吧，莉莉发情（两人感情变化） 酒吧这里切入的比较突然，已知是两人已经搭上话，还坐在一起了。当然了，重点不是两人的日常chitchat，而是之后的・発情期・啊嗯哼哼。 这里的萌点是莉莉被马琳指出他来店的频率变高之后的脸红和辩解，还有马琳温柔但是小狡猾的眼神。我想这些小桥段应该都是为了塑造人物性格加入的：比如莉莉就是容易害羞的傲娇小狼一类的。很好奇兰丸老师在画之前写了多少人物profile report（会像荒木那样吗哈哈哈）。

街道 然后就是喜闻乐见的发情期了（喂）！发情对于感情升温是好事，但是同时暴露了莉莉的身份。 不过我觉得这段莉莉离场那个镜头画的有点仓促（虽然从后来马琳和其他顾客的谈话中可以推出，但是光从图上有点看不出莉莉干了啥）。同时，为什么不能画出类似马琳在拿酒时背影里的莉莉跑出酒吧，马琳追出去的画面呢？感觉那样的话节奏更紧凑，更清楚一些。（不过也许是因为这样要画的场景/比如吧台/就会更多吧）

之后兰丸老师用了很多一样的分镜，就是左边是一个大场景，右边三个分景特写这种（天呐我这糟糕的语言表述能力）。 感觉主要是为了凸显马琳的动作，对应莉莉的反应。这里观众带入的更多是马琳视角（我们也好奇莉莉怎么了/）。 这一段马琳和莉莉的互动分段： 莉莉是如何逐步妥协的

马琳发现莉莉在路灯下，莉莉打开他的手，马琳看见莉莉的獠牙和指甲，马琳非常惊讶，莉莉也慌了，直接逃跑

马琳在短暂的震惊后继续追赶莉莉，莉莉摔倒（哈哈哈看的时候不觉得，不过这里写出来觉得这个动作好玛丽苏哦），马琳扶莉莉坐起来 ，告诉他他可能在发情。莉莉很惊讶，但是仍然拒绝马琳 — “I’m a human! … Don’t say such weird things …Don’t say anything else, Marlene, for your sake”这一段真是很好的维持了莉莉本身的韧劲和性格。（人家是人类！人家才不会随便跟你走呢！）读者这时候也已经开始想，作者要再怎样安排才能让他合理的俩共度一夜呢/

莉莉实在走不动了，马琳说出推动关系的虎狼之词：“ Won’t you let me accompany you? 和 （突然靠近）”I think you'll be able to find plenty of enjoyment in having sex with me ” 天呐噜！说明什么，说明追男/女朋友的时候主动才是王道！倘若你已知对方对你有点意思，果断利用这个机会冲啊！（不）这一段感觉很棒的是对马琳性格的展现 — 即便在说エッチ的事他也还是那么绅士（不过莉莉 /虽然看在马琳的好意下默认了自己是狼人这件事/ 当然还是拒绝了（ps莉莉用指甲抓马琳的脸这里也有把我萌到

马琳提出折中方案：去Moulin Rouge吧！我有一个朋友Helma是这里的头牌，她会带着眼罩，你不用担心，只是，我也会在旁边看着哦。

我承认刚开始的时候我没注意，但是细想起来觉得里面的安排也有学问，所以决定摊开写出这里的plot development。虽然发情期是一个好用的梗/参考各种abo/，读者也知道他们最后会嗯嗯啊啊，但是倘若莉莉只是稍微被马琳“勾引”一下就跟他走的话就完全OOC了啊！我觉得有时候我个人诟病ABO部分漫画的一点就是，发情期本身完全盖过的角色，并且让角色做出了完全不符合自己性格的举动，会让读者感觉到作者在偷懒 --因为不想研究人物发展和角色感情，干脆就用发情期让他们一步到位好了，可是发情/或是肉体关系其实根本无法解决精神上的问题，而且一味的用肉体关系代替精神关系感觉非常失真。这一段马琳和莉莉的推进就处理的很棒，人物动作是在被人物的性格和动机引导，而非剧情，不会感觉在被剧情敷衍//真爱怎么会从ONS开始呢//

总结： （天呐第一次写出自己对喜欢的作品的感想好开心）总体来说，感觉scene1在对角色的设置，两人关系的奠定，和整体故事的基调把握都非常棒，没有什么拖泥带水之处。很多之前看快速划过的镜头和细节都其实非常巧妙。老师对表情和眼神的掌控也是绝（马琳目光中温柔带着一点forcefulness的样子，和莉莉表面防备但是其实非常单纯天真的感觉）。要说有什么不好，可能就是老师的有些肢体动作和阴影没有我记忆中的那么自然连贯吧，有时候会有一种画面有点点僵硬的感觉。
