ぶったまげの演出！衣装替えを観客の前で〜トシ・カプチーノNY追加公演は大成功

宝塚（宝塚歌劇団）のニュースで持ちきりの今、男役を宝塚で14年演じてきた女優の漣レイラさん、この秋に大阪で舞台に出演予定のダンサーの平川美代子さんらとトシ・カプチーノさんのNY追加公演を鑑賞。相変わらず安定の歌唱力と笑いで会場をわかせるトシ・カプチーノさんのショーはとても楽しいものだった。私は奥村チヨさんを知らないって思っていたのだが、音楽が始まると、「あぁ〜知ってる！」ってなる懐かしの曲。しっとりとした低音の魅力を見せつけるようにトシ・カプチーノさんが歌い上げる。そういえばチヨさんの歌は、お掃除しながらなぜか鼻歌で歌ってしまうリラックスソング。選曲も素晴らしくて、トーク中に客との対話もあり、スタンダップ・コメディアンレベルの返しで笑いの渦はやまない。挙げ句には、アドリブで前列に座っていた客のビトンのバッグを持って歌うなど、これでもかってくらいに笑わせてくれる。トシ・カプチーノさんが客席…

三連休の中日の昨日、宝塚を観てきました。演目は『1789 バスティーユの恋人たち』。タイトルから推測できるようにフランス革命の頃のお話です。

マリー・アントワネットが登場する時の華やかな演出をはじめ、話の内容、歌と踊り、大道具など全体がザ・ミュージカルという迫力で満ちていました。

今回はミュージカルからそのままフィナーレに続いていき、その流れもよかったです。ラストに近づくにつれ泣いている人も結構いました。

「すごいとしかいいようがない」の声が聞こえましたが、本当にそうだな〜と。今回の舞台のぎっしり感…これをこの日もう一度やる、そして次の日もというか１ヶ月超…と思うとまさに尊敬の一言です。

Wata no Kunihoshi - Chapter 19

The OG catgirl is back! I repeat! Chibi-neko is back!

Sadly, few of Ooshima Yumiko's works are available to English readership. Possibly her most known work, Wata no Kunihoshi, is the manga that invented catgirls and won the Kodansha Manga Award in 1979. Yet even this shoujo classic couldn't escape the "no license curse", and fan translations are incomplete.

Friendship Scans, who brought many classic shoujo titles to us, scanlated 18 chapters before disbanding. I was translating Drops of Dreams for them right before their disbandment, and that's how I got to know the state of Wata no Kunihoshi scanlations: There were some translations, some proofread scripts, and some cleans. So many people had already spent their time and effort for the rest of the chapters, but then lack of typesetters and disbandment happened, and all that work was just sitting there. I like this manga, and thought that it was a waste. Knowing that the scanlations can actually be finished spurred me to take it upon myself to fill the gaps and see this through the end. Red and Unnoticedkouhai, project managers of Friendship Scans, kindly allowed me to use the work of their former staff. (I would like to thank them, and all the other staff I never got to know! I hope they are all doing well. You'll see it in our credits page when their work is used.) Then I took this kitten I picked up to Attolia, who gruelingly did everything for this chapter, and we proudly present you: Chapter 19 of Wata no Kunihoshi!

Rant corner: After actually translating an Ooshima work, now I know why there are few scanlations. This woman is really beyond my level. Please, good translators out there, translate stuff like this instead of generic shoujo romance/isekai #4578.

The set of the “Double-headed Eagle”, the dance ball and the numerous military uniforms and dress – all of this is an assembly of glamorous beauty. This famous work by Shibata Yukihiro was performed again and again, and this time it would be revived in the Grand Theatre after 30 years under the adaptation and direction of Koyanagi Naoko. Yuzuka delivers the joy and struggle of finding true love. It is refreshing to see how the tragic love story of Rudolf and Marie was approched as a human drama in the politically unstable 19th century Austria.

Compatible with the blonde hair, and other matters such as the military uniform, Yuzuka Rei plays the role of Rudolf, the Crown Prince of the Austra-Hungarian empire.

Minami plays as Johann Salvator. Taking the role of a storyteller, she plays a man who celebrates freedom, showcasing kindness and masculinity naturally.

Towaki Sea plays as the Archduke Franz Ferdinand, whose role was more deepened in this rendition. Her acting radiates the reflection of passing of time in light and shadow.

It was impressive to see that Marie is not only cute, but also shows a sense of motherhood and Rudolf almost seem like finding her for salvation.

看到瑪麗不但可愛，也有母性的一面，魯道夫更要向她尋求救贖，是很深刻印象的。

Takarazuka Spectacular “ENCHANTEMENT–Luxurious Perfume–” 「–ENCHANTEMENT–華麗的香水」

This is a revue delivered by Noguchi Kousaku which is inspired by the “ka”  (香 = scent) from Yuzuka Rei’s name.

It’s a beauty and glorious performance delivering the sweet and fragrant scent to the audience.

Not only is there the forest in Paris, but also the NY streets and a night club where the gentlemen are assembled.

It is exploding with the various colours and charms of this stylish Flower Troupe.

It looks like a hot dance battle in the night club where the men are wearing unique suits. It is heart-fluttering to see the connection between doukis Minami and Yuzuka.

I remember listening to 'Defying Gravity' Kocchan's version! I was like *MINDBLOWN*

Wicked is one of my most beloved Broadway musicals ( I also did the fanart like 6-7 years ago here!) and it's crazy for me to know that my beloved artist sings this song 😭

I know that Kocchan's motto is 'Go beyond the limit' and she proved that for years. Also, Elphaba's phase in this song mentioned 'My future is Unlimited' as well (Im crying)

This version of Kocchan is sooooo powerful, soft, and strong.

I'm out of my words, I love her so much!

宝塚全国ツアー

2023.4.2

星組全国ツアー公演が千葉県の市川市文化会館であったので観に行ってきました。

一緒に行った子は、“一度だけ宝塚を観たことがあるけれど、それが和物だった為にあまり宝塚宝塚していなかった”という女の子（笑）

今回の『バレンシアの熱い花』はポスターから見ても、「宝塚歌劇」と聞いて想像するタイプのお話に違いないと予想し、期待通りでした！

主人公は、婚約者がいながら他の女性も本気で愛してしまう…という現実の世界なら叩かれそうな人物でしたが、そこはまぁお話ということで（笑）

決闘シーンあり、ダンスあり…と、いろいろ楽しめました。

なお今回の主演は、どの組にも属さない専科の方でした。←周囲のお客さんが話しているのが聞こえ、知りました💦　専科…また一つ知識が増えました。

レビューは、会館の広さの関係なのか階段が少なめでしたが、次から次へとメインが続くような華やかさで盛り上がりました♫

最後、千葉県出身の演者の紹介もあり、楽しい雰囲気でしたよ！

会場を出て、夕食は宝塚の雰囲気とはかなり遠い八重洲の味噌煮込みうどんのお店へ。宝塚も完全満席でしたが、こちらも18時前というのにかなり混んでいて驚きました。

楽しい一日でした♫
