November Save MEGA summary (part 2)
before / next
hope you all enjoyed the previous summary, it was a nice walk down memory lane for me 😁❤ anyways let's just jump into the next one
so basically overall steve was really HATING working at Hogan's but June was just doing really well in general (enough to be the main earner in the household essentially so steve was able to quit his job)
june attempted to wingwoman raj again because things didnt really work out with kamala... LMAO
on friday she took a day off and decided to go for a job interview to join an in-house legal team
and very quickly she learned shed got the job 😁🤸♀️💖
on monday she let her manager Margot know she was resigning and officially handed in her resignation to the boss, boss, Jared. they were all super happy for her, and june was grateful to have had a good time working with them all
THEN, after that she visited her mom for awhile (who lives in Brindleton Bay, and caught up with her without steve or the kids)
that same weekend it was adelaide's birthday and they threw her a modest party (they are always paycheck to paycheck kinda ngl but june's recent job change / promotion means that things are getting better
bonus shot of the kids being EXTRA cute (they get on really well) 💖
very VERY soon after that, june attended a conference in Tartosa with her new team, which was a great chance to get to know everyone...
UNFORTUNATELY things got a bit flirty at the dinner 🌹😢 and the brunette guy behind june flirted with June and she did it back 😵 and yeah... nothing else happened but YIKES. my interpretation of june is honestly that she got a taste of what her life could have been like, without steve... the kids... bills etc, and she got a bit carried away by the glitz and glam of it all 🤷♀️ (sorry I do like my sims to have flaws, & like everyone else june is not perfect </3), but yeah as I said nothing else happened and june immedietaly felt AWFUL about it as she should (shes a loyal trait sim) 😘 but she did look stunning that night
when she got home it was extra bad as well because she had to face steve (and the kids) and it made he realise how lucky she had it, cuz steve also got her some champagne to celebrate her new job ☠😂
so... june confessed and told steve about what happened, and ngl even I was suprised he took it so well and was understanding + I think he appreciated she told him right away
also right after he mentioned marriage??? I think the two of them needed to talk about it cuz june always saw herself getting married I think and steve hadnt really considered it...
BUT YEAH drama / crisis averted AHAHAH sorry this seems really fast but I promise it had been brewing for some time - I think out of the two of them, unfortunately june is just a little bit more insecure than steve, because she has set so many expectations on herself & her mother growing up was very strict with her </3 overall I know she invisioned her life going differently, but when faced with that actual opportunity she didnt take it 😘❤🤸♀️
bonus picture of steve because we havent seen him for awhile now and hes gotten a lot healthier recently / working on himself and his mental health a bit (not quit smoking yet though) also raj came over and june seemed more like his best friend than steve because they were joking around so much 😂😂😂
also omg then adie had a bear phase...
😁 and that's a wrap for this summary but PHEW a lot of focus on june this time (I always love giving my sims really complex spouses)

┊ ˚☠︎︎ 。˚ THE PIRATES
HIGH SEAS is a fictional seven member boy group under aurora labels, consisting of members sieun, hajoon, kaoru, xinxi, jude, jitae, and emery. high seas have become known for their pirate concept & lore, talents, and messy public affairs. high seas debuted on january 12, 2021, with their self titled mini album and title track crush, that, in all retrospect, did very poorly. coming from a rather small company and debuting with a stereotypical noisy boy group song, high seas garnered very little popularity in the first few months of their career. it wasn't until their first comeback that they actually began to make some noise.
it's still a hot topic amongst fans today— what exactly brought high seas out of nugudom? many credit the group as a whole and the company, as their first comeback, deja vu, was met much more positively and the company began to properly promote them. others believe that the members individually are to thank, specifically hajoon, who had began going viral in korea for his visuals and talents, and xinxi, who was gaining popularity in china. nonetheless, high seas were finally beginning to get a taste of popularity and aurora was quick to ride off it, pushing out comeback after comeback to keep them relevant.
high seas have seen their fair share of controversy and scandals in the few years they've been active. netizens have pointed out their lack of group cohesiveness, cliqueness, and how certain members seem isolated from the rest. they're also often accused of wasting their labelmates money, considering how many comebacks they get compared to the others in their company who are arguably more popular. however, none of this compared to the controversy they faced when member taeyang announced his departure from the group in late 2023. aurora never offered explanations on why he left, and so fingers were pointed every which way, with people blaming the company, the company, the fans. still, it seemed his departure only heightened their group popularity, and as of 2024, high seas have solidified themselves as a messy icon of the 4th gen.

God, i forgot about the dragons 🤦♂️ the Velaryons really have the upper hand in that regard.
But still with a son that cannot have a son(lol) they still have to annulled it even if the Sept doesn't like it(they had an agreement with the crown that they were the exception and it was with having two wives), bcs other than having a title and influence it is a dead end(with Rhae at least, they still have Daemon like you said) like what if he dies of something like in battle or poisoned before Corlys?
Perhaps if she married someone else in their family? Vaemond wasn't the only other living member of the family, it says so in the book(and we see it in the backgrounds of the show) when Vaemond goes to Kingslanding to make his claim there is cousins presents too!... and also they have theirs tongues removed. But hey they're still living!
Other option is having 2 husbands but obviously that's not gonna fly.
An annulment might prove more bother than it's worth, I think. In this case, Rhaenyra has to have secured a more advantageous alliance beforehand, so that she could replace Laenor and the Velaryons with something more profitable (NOT Daemon). It would be a huge scandal, in any case, and very insulting towards Laenor and the Velaryons.
If she married another Velaryon - Corlys specifically wants his line on the Iron Throne, though, not some cousin's. I think he'd still take that as diminishing. After Corlys dies, Laenor becomes heir of Driftmark. He seemed to cave into Rhaenyra's demands generally-speaking, so who knows what he'd decide? Laenor is not nearly as ambitious a man as Corlys. We are ignoring Rhaenys in this equation, though. I doubt she or Laena would like to see Laenor made a fool publicly. It would not be out of the realm of possibility for them to be pressuring him to refuse an annulment.
It's a tricky situation, but one she embarked on with full-knowledge from the very beginning. I don't want to become too graphic, but gay men have managed to have children, historically-speaking. I just don't think Rhaenyra and Laenor particularly tried too hard. Not that forcing yourself to participate in a sexual act should be in any way promoted as an easy fix, but MAYHAPS a makeshift version of artificial insemination is not the worst thing to do in this very specific, fantasy scenario. ☠
Anyway - they don't need to produce babies just because Viserys and Corlys say so. There are enough Targaryen and Velaryon heirs already.
Two husbands is definitely taboo within the Faith of the Seven, yes. 😅

Part Ⅲ The Takeover - Chapter 3.3
☠ The Death of A Mafia Boss ☠
1,533 Words
In the morning Mori and Fukuzawa wake up to find Dazai already standing in the kitchen, staring out the window. The futon they lent him is neatly rolled up looking almost as if it was never used.
'An insomniac.' Mori guesses.
"Good morning, Dazai-san."
"So today's the day, eh?" is all he says, "The day you cut the throat of that old madman."
"Yes."
"About time,"
Dazai says no more all during breakfast. Mori lets Akiko sleep late, leaving a note reading:
"If I have not returned when you wake, do not worry. I'll return the boss of the Port Mafia."
Through the hot foggy morning, Mori and Dazai depart.
-
The Port Mafia quarters seem unusually dark.
"No bodyguard today, Mori-sensei?" Ranpo asks as they pass his office. "Who's the new boy?"
The questions are rhetorical, the greatest strategist in the world doesn't need to ask questions to get answers. He can see the intent clear as day behind Mori's smiling face.
-
The office is dark too, even with the gold carpet, and the boss is so sickly he doesn't notice the young Dazai's presence.
"Doctor . . . tell the executives to murder them all . . . the opposing organisations, the military police, everyone who opposes the port Mafia, by sundown." He rasps weakly.
"That's not a rational course of action," Mori says simply, as he prepares the boss's pills, just as he would any other day.
"Kill them all . . . kill them all . . . kill them . . . kill them." his words get quieter until his voice cuts out completely. Then the scalpel is at his throat, drawing a red line so quickly the boss wouldn't have been able to make a sound if he could.
"The boss has passed on, due to illness. He left word saying I will inherit his position as the boss. You're my witness, got it?"
"Yup. So long as it means I get to meet my end."
Mori heads into the main office and cracks the main door. The red-headed guard girl, Ozaki-san turns around.
"Has something happened to the boss?" Mori can hear the hope in her voice.
"I'm afraid so. He has most unfortunately succumbed to his illness."
The question is in her eyes even as her throat goes dry.
"His parting words named me the leader of the organisation. You're relieved of this post, spread the news of his death to the rest of the employees."
She is no idiot. She knows the illness wouldn't have taken him so suddenly, with the way he was going it would have drawn out for many more painful hacking months.
'If anything this was a mercy.'
And she heard the promise in his words, you're relieved of THIS post. She's getting her long-deserved promotion, after all this time.
Back in the office, Dazai looks out the window.
'What a glorious fall that would be.' he giggles at the thought.
"Do you know the name of your ability?" Mori says, having appeared behind him silently.
"Ability?"
"A supernatural skill or skills that you possess. Even if you are ignorant of the workings of your ability itself, surely you must know its name."
"Ability, is that what it's called? Is this why I've always felt out of place, I've always known that I'm not human, like walking through a thick fog of air I'm not made to breathe. As for my "skill", I wouldn't call it an ability, but it's called No Longer Human. The name came to me in the first and only dream I remember. I've never known what it is that it does, but I assume now that it has some effect on other abilities."
"Yes, I'd need to test further, but I believe it's an ability that nullifies other abilities, and it only took effect when you touched me, even through my gloves, so it must be limited by physical contact of any sort, even through clothing. A fascinating concept, and I wish I could study it more. If only you weren't about to end your life." More sighs at the loss of the scientific opportunity.
But he promised. A promise that conflicts with another promise, an oath.
'"Do no harm." Harm is such a subjective thing, really. Is it harm if a patient requests a doctor to end his life? With the state this boy is in, he'll find a way to end himself, regardless of my involvement, and it would be merciful to help end his suffering.'
Ever since he put aside his emotions, Mori has never minded killing if he knows it's what he must do, but the question is still an interesting hypothetical.
Together the two dispose of the body and the evidence. None of the criminals in this organisation will bother to question it, even if they suspect foul play. Nobody liked the old boss. The diseased body is dissected and dissolved in acid which is then burned, along with the bed sheets, the smoke swirling in the mid-morning air, the flames dancing and wriggling in the breeze as if desperate to be free.
Eventually, they consume all there is consume and the body and bedding have disappeared, and then the flames do too. A pathetic sight as they die, determined against fate to keep crackling on, but of course, the house always wins and the universe has its way so that they burn no more.
By noon all of the Port Mafia have heard the news that they belong to Mori. Most are more than happy. Mori wastes no time.
His first act as boss is done in secret, he appoints Fukuzawa as the co-leader of the Port Mafia, a second head of the organisation working from the shadows. The Silver Wolf.
His first official act is the establishment of the board of executives. A group of three, the mafia's best, only two of their identities known.
Ozaki Kouyou, and an old warrior named Colonel. The third known only as The Clairvoyant, or to those closest to him, Edogawa Ranpo.
'One would think an even number would be best but, a triangle is the strongest shape and with three no decision can be tied.'
His second act, which is a mystery to all but Fukuzawa and Ranpo, is to buy a large piece of property outside of Yokohama. On a map, it appears as if there's nothing there, many people wonder if he plans to build a new base, but Ranpo smiles a grateful smile. Gratitude is a rare look on his face, but it's warranted here, his family home is now safe from any bank or realtor.
Mori is unable to return home this night as he implied would in his note, he's busy with all the preparations that completely rebuilding an organisation takes. So they come to him.
'So this is the Port Mafia, and it's all ours.' Akiko thinks as she, Elise and Fukuzawa are escorted up to the top floor by the newly minted executive Ozaki.
When Akiko learns of Ozaki's status, a determined sort of look crosses her face. One that scares both Mori and Fukuzawa.
"Let me be your fourth executive." She proposes when the other executives have left the room for their assigned tasks, shocking both older men.
"What?" Mori steps out from behind his desk, placing a concerned hand on her shoulder.
"You heard me. As the daughter of a Port Mafia leader, I'd be in constant danger, but as of now only the old boss was aware that we're family, and he's dead. But if I become an executive no one would dare to harm me."
"Yes, dear, but you'd have to do something. You don't truly want to work for the mafia, do you? If you do you may never be able to practise legitimate medicine."
"I don't care. I can head up the medical division. . . . If this is going to be a family thing, I want to be a part of it." the joke makes everyone, including her, cringe.
Both of the new Port Mafia Leaders can tell this isn't the real reason.
"Akiko, I just want to keep you safe. Please tell us what you're thinking."
She keeps her eyes steady on the window, her reflection growing clearer as night creeps across the view.
"I know I said that I never wanted to use my ability again, but my mother was right. It may or not be my only purpose in life, but it'd be a waste to never use my ability for anything." She turns to face Mori, "You gave me as much power over my life as I could have, but if I never use my ability again then my mother will own me forever, I want to take it back. I want to use my ability for me, to have it belong to me, not anyone else, and this time it will be mine. So please let me . . . please." her voice drops into a whisper.
"An executive position does keep you away from the streets and the war zone they've become . . ." Mori thinks aloud.
"I'll never have to see the streets if I don't want to." Akiko presses.
After a long pause, Mori nods.
'And that makes four. What a thing! An entire criminal organisation led by two 30-somethings and a group the majority of which is composed of teenagers.'
"Thank you." Akiko kneels before Mori and Fukuzawa, her own choice, her own destiny.
