Imagine if MC put a bright, cheery necklace/hat/scarf/accessory on the skeleton statue in Lucifer's room. He would protest but never take it down, and devils forbid if anyone tried to get rid of it or mocked it because it clashed with the scenery.

It looks ridiculous, and it catches everyone’s attention when they first walk in. Even in the middle of the conversation, he can see their eyes drift over to the statue. It’s a bit annoying, but a part of him understands why since it gets his attention even now.

The passing comments starts to grade on his nerve just a bit, and he’ll “politely” steer the conversation back on track. Hopefully no one would be bold (or stupid) enough to try and take it down themselves, unless they’re willing to lose a hand (and possibly more).

It looks silly and it is silly, he knows it. He’s told you that countless times, and always makes a comment on how absurd it looks whenever he finally has you in his arms alone in the room. But even as he rolls his eyes at his “festive” display every time, he never makes a move to take it down.

Despite how comical it looks, Lucifer acknowledges it as a piece of you with him. Whenever it’s late and he’s still up finishing work, he finds his own eyes drifting to it and he can’t help but crack a small smile.

How a mere human like yourself was able to get the Avatar of Pride to be so lenient, so soft, is amusing- and how you got him to fall so deeply for you is even more so.

But he doesn’t regret it at all.

At the risk of sounding really dumb, what does CDD mean? I've only run into it a couple of times and the internet isn't being useful

Shoutout to asks that would have been easy to answer like a week ago. Okay so basically CDD means Complex Dissociative Disorder. It's a short hand for DID/OSDD-1/PDID/any disorder that causes alters to form. It was used and became popular for being inclusive (because saying osdd-1/did tends to leave out p-did or ddnos systems). It's a medical term.

However, there's been a lot of discourse about the term and some backlash(that I agree with) about how it's kind of a shitty term because CDDs aren't the only dissociative disorders that are complex. Like OSDD-2 and other disorders are dissociative disorders that are very complex, but they're not considered "complex dissociative disorders" because they don't have identity alteration (aka alters forming), which can sound really invalidating and kinda shitty and in general, some have raised problems with how the term kinda implies that osdd-1/did/etc are the only dissociative disorders that are complex which just isn't true. Anyways because of that, now we're a bit iffy on if we should use the term or change it? Idk mixed opinions across our system
