it really depends on the situation. if there was someone he had to protect, he'd fight. otherwise, he'd run. usually, though, its neither; he'd freeze.

he used to keep collections of all of the poems he wrote growing up. that collection is long gone now, though. it used to be a symbol of growth to himself, showing how far he's come. it was bittersweet at first, but now he doesn't think about it.

A hat I knit for my dad in 2012 that I don't have a picture of unfortunately. It's ugly - I got off track a bunch in the pattern so it's honestly not the prettiest, there's ladders from knitting it on double-pointed needles and not knowing how to do the tension between them - but. But, he's worn holes in it. I've had to repair it a few times. He's asked me how to wash it properly. He's worn it to almost every cycling race he's done since I made it for him. And. I don't think I can put in words how tender that makes my entire soul, to know something I made has been cherished so completely.

Dream project, now, now I've had this sweater [oranje] in my queue on Ravelry since 2013, and honestly? I think I could make it just fine now. I dunno if I've made a new dream project,,, I look at my queue and it all feels... possible. Just need the time+hands to be okay XD

Infinite time & money, more like if my hands didn't need to rest, I would knit all the sweaters in the world. I've got a queue miles long, I'd knit ALL OF THEM. I'd knit with brooklyn tweed yarn and harrisville, and splurge on all the cozy cozy yarns by indie dyers like sweetnestling who make stunning vibrant colors I just can't afford the custom commission for. I'd buy yarn from that stunning creator in Australia who dyes yarns based on local wildlife and fauna and not lament over the shipping costs 'cause I can afford more than one skein+shipping aaa <3

Knitting, since 4th grade!! My Nana taught me how to knit - I remember sitting on the bricks around the fireplace of the place we lived that year, and dutifully following along as she showed me what's what. We made a little crafting club at my elementary school too, most people brought knitting but I remember one girl making an Entire Crochet Blanket and I remember being floored about that ahah

Thennnn we moved, and I didn't really pick it back up until high-school when I really needed something to occupy myself so my thoughts wouldn't spiral. There was something very mm, important,, about creating something out of those negative thoughts that was soft and important. I knit a blanket my junior year XD and I've basically haven't stopped since!! that's like uhhhh 15+ years?? I think,, lotsa years!!!
