🤖 Technically no, but he does have what one may refer to as far too many robots. He constructs drones regularly, chooses to pilot an android body instead of using his own, and no spoilers but there is a lower floor of the bunker where no one goes and he may be storing large projects there.

So i (16F) am in a robotics team at my school, we take part in a pretty big national and global competition called FIRST.

recently my team got through to national stages, which is a MASSIVE deal, not exactly an everyday occurrence.

Our robot requires two drivers, one for the main body, and one for the arm. The whole time we’ve had the robot working, i have been the arm driver (apart from a couple lunchtime sessions where other people tried it out briefly) and took part in the actual qualifying rounds. I’m also the CAD designer so i designed the claw part and know what i have to do to make it move in the correct fashion and not damage it. My friend Pen (not any real names ofc) is the main body driver and has spent so much time working on the robot no one is disputing her driving.

The problem comes in with two people - Plane and Bolt. I’ve never particularly gotten on with Plane, while ive been kind of neutral with Bolt. There’s no active hostile feelings with us at the moment, but they have been pretty aggressive to people in the past, gatekeeping roles and new people joining - they had a huge fight on the team group chat over it with my friend Keyboard. They also tried to stop Pen (who was originally doing software) and another person in our team (ill call her Remote) from being engineers, but im the end Plane and Bolt did none of the hard work, doing very easy things while Remote and Pen were left doing all the manual work on the body, while i attached the arm.

Both Plane and Bolt decided in the week before the qualifying event that they wanted to drive the arm, and that we should rotate at the event. Thankfully the supervising teacher got involved and told them no, i had put in the time, he guessed maybe they could try do some more practise before the national event. Me and Pen were drivers in that and are now in the top 19% of global drivers, which i am insanely happy about. Despite being ill the day of the event, Plane was the human player, which means you still get to be around the field while not directly touching the controllers or the robot, but can help.

The first session after the event, Plane comes up to me saying how badly she wanted to be the driver and she was going to put in the practise. I told her that I didn’t want to be mean, please don’t take this the wrong way, but it depends on what our teacher says, and really, it’s a matter of skill. Me and Pen have had the time practising together, it’s not a personal attack on you. The next event is only 8 weeks away (a lot of that is holiday) so im really sorry, but it’s not up to me. You’ll have to take it up with the teacher.

She was obviously not happy with this and walked out of the room without saying anything else. I’m panicking that I was too rude but she’s been far more aggressive to me before and I haven’t got super pissed at her for it?

The rest of the team apart from Plane and Bolt agree with me, and I really want to stay driver because honestly I enjoy it. It’s something im good enough at as well, and I don’t super enjoy just sitting in the audience feeling useless.

LONG POST AHEAD UNDER THE CUT:

Pearl: I put more info about the side/background characters here but something I didn't mention about her is that she is VERY protective of Grian, and when Mumbo causes Grian pain (unintentionally) she gets very angry and almost violent with him. She's always kind of around, even though she doesn't show herself very often. Most of the time she's out pretending to be human - either hunting humans or trying to learn more about them so she can blend in even better. She just kinda does it all so much better than Grian can, lol.

Scar: little freak of a man. He and Cub walked into a wormhole and came back Weird. Mumbo thinks Scar is dead because Grian can mimic his screams and Outsiders only tend to do that with dead people (because copying someone who is still alive is... kind of pointless). Scar and Mumbo were coworkers, and Scar sees Mumbo as a friend, but Mumbo is too much of a lonely little loser to realise he has friends. Anyway, Scar's genetic information got all shuffled about in that wormhole and now he's unusual. A bit vex-y. He might have a hunger for human flesh--

Who breaks first? Ermmmm. So I talked to Ange about this and... neither of us can actually remember. BUT I believe Mumbo breaks down about The Apocalypse and also Grian attacking him that one time. And. Stuff. Which causes Grian to push himself to look and act more human - which hurts him and eventually leads him to break down too, stealing Mumbo's crying sounds because he doesn't know how else to express his sorrow.

Grian abandons Mumbo because he doesn't want to scare him anymore, and he has a big breakdown in the middle of the woods alone, letting himself get hurt by other monsters. But eventually he returns to Mumbo when Mumbo is attacked by yet another monster. Pearl is properly introduced and is So Mad About These Idiots. But sees how much Grian cares and tries to get them to make up.

They try to reconcile but Mumbo eventually leaves in search of other humans - he can't just be around a monster forever. This is where he finds Xisuma and other survivors. Grian follows him. Eventually Mumbo finds Grian again and suggests they go to the suvivor's place together, with Grian disguised as a human. (Mumbo still doesn't really comprehend how much that Hurts Grian, but Grian complies anyway). And nothing bad happens (lie).

This is going to a very niche ask but I’ve been dying to a cyberpunk/synthcity/futuristic roleplay! With the plot rotating about artificial intelligence gaining sentience and essentially taking over and becoming the dominant species. This is very world building heavy so I only suggest it to people who are equally interested in world building and character building

The roleplay is about a human woman who is on the run for officials after killing an automaton in self defense, while on the run she runs into a military officiant (an automaton himself) who does his best to help her escape the city

i guess you could say that it does, but its issues have more to do with the guilt and fear associated with feeling or expressing anger on any level. he relies a lot on leo's constant emotional support

no, but yoshi sews. raph's hobbies include raising butterflies and stag beetles, planting herbs and then forgetting to water them and crying when they die a week later, basketball, and lacrosse (but only with leo). he also has a hamster named daisy whom he would kill himself for without a moment's hesitation

...there's not really a "leader" since that's not how families work in real life, but she's generally the dubious voice of reason and the one who carries everybody's water bottles and medications and whathaveyou. she resents this position a little but doesn't have the self awareness to confront it

I'm not entirely clear on what this question means. he has other interests outside stem, but in my verse his focus is much more on computer science and mechanical engineering than any other field of science, so he kind of doesn't gaf about biology or anything organic or "squishy." if that was the question. other interests include grindcore music, transformers, my little pony (the toys), swimming, gambling, arguing on forums, sculpting, 3d animation, girls, and other things.

7. First time they experimented with their personal style

the first time hya experimented with his style was after tagetes took him in when he was like. 18 or so. all his life his hair was short and cut around his ears in a bob, but when he started learning and gaining access to fashion trends and the nobility and shit like that, he started growing his hair out. he wasn't sure how he would feel about it at first but he grew to really love it.

wow this is a VERY good question when i think about amon and hya. lemme... peruse my scattered writings and outlines lol.

okay from what i can see (i'm still reworking the outline), its likely the first time is when they share a bed together, naked, but not actually doing anything. its like chapter 13 or so, but that's subject to change. but basically the two of them are staying in the fortresse de humble herbe under the bishop's hospitality, because hya promised aloe that he would be there for his priest-ing shit and impending ordainment. hya had an exhausting day dealing with his family (mainly his stepmother belladonna) and amon has been nowhere to be found all day and that shit is really pissing him the fuck off by the time he goes to bed. he tosses and turns for awhile, until sometime in the early hours of the morning his door opens and he can tell its amon. amon has just had his own stressful encounter in the catacombs under the temple (spoilers cough) and he just wants to sleep but... not in the servents quarters. he goes to hya's room. hya is pissed off but he tells amon to get in bed with him and they don't even end up fucking like amon thought they would they just kinda end up... cuddling???? crazy. not good for either of their hearts (it is, like when tf have either of them gotten hugs ever?? like never). and then it leads to having the closest thing that they have to a heartfelt conversation wherein amon kind of asks hya what he would want out of a romantic relationship, and hya basically says him but like. neither of them really say that but that's basically what they say.

technically speaking i've never really gravitated towards making 'fully human' characters, cuz even from a young age i was super obsessed with fairies (i had a bunch of fairy figurines growing up actually, but then all of them got broken when a shelf i had them on collapsed. it really broke me tbh i never got any fairy statues after that even though i probably could now but like i had some expensive ones too like ugh rip that collection) so my first oc "nature girl", i made with my grandmother when i was 3 was like. technically a fairy. so i guess that was my first nonhuman oc lol.
